Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic - Walt Disney Studios, Disneyland Paris

Here’s your chance to go behind the scenes at an actual (fake) movie studio. You’ll see where Hollywood blockbusters were (not) filmed.

If it’s the early years of the park (2002-2005), be sure you get in the correct queue based on your preferred language. Your language choices are French, English, Italian, Dutch, German, and Spanish.

Onboard video

The busiest queue is for French and English (and after 2005, it will be the only one). That makes sense. The park is in France. Plenty of visitors are from the UK, and English is the second language for many people worldwide. Monitors at the front of each tram car feature two celebrity narrators: French actress Irène Jacob and English actor Jeremy Irons. They each speak their own language. But they don’t say the same things. If you know both languages, you won’t be subjected to the same explanations twice.

If you picked a different queue, your narrators will be Isabella Rossellini (Italian) and Famke Janssen (Dutch), or they will be Nastassja Kinski (German) and Inés Sastre (Spanish).

Set from Dinotopia

The tour passes a set from Dinotopia , a short-lived 2002 miniseries about two teenage half-brothers who find themselves on an island where humans and talking dinosaurs live together peacefully. Unfortunately, it’s only a temple set. There aren’t any animatronic dinosaurs.

You can watch composited scenes from Dinotopia on the video display. They’re much more impressive than the static set the tram is passing.

Reign of Fire

Reign of Fire is a 2002 movie from Touchstone Pictures (The Walt Disney Company) about fire-breathing dragons emerging in London, igniting the city, and terrorizing the planet. Christian Bale plays the fire chief. Matthew McConaughey plays an American with a plan to rid Earth of the troublesome beasts. Disney had high hopes for the movie. Alas, it was neither a critical success nor a box office hit. But the timing of its release was right for its inclusion on the Studio Tram Tour .

It’s not as impressive as Catastrophe Canyon — which also has fire — but it’s based on a real movie, unlike Catastrophe Canyon. Then again, Reign of Fire wasn’t filmed here, so the ruins of London are just here to impress guests.

The trams at Universal Studios Hollywood take guests past soundstages and backlot sets where countless movies have been filmed since 1915. The trams at Disney-MGM Studios in Florida took guests through a complex that began in 1988 as a production facility for live action movies, animation, and television, in addition to being a theme park since 1989.

Officially, Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris is the fifth Disney studio — after Kingswell Avenue, Hyperion Avenue, Burbank, and Disney-MGM Studios. But while the first four can boast portfolios of beloved productions, little has been produced at the fifth one — other than fan YouTube videos.

Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic had its grand opening at Walt Disney Studios Park on March 16, 2002, the opening day of the second gate at Disneyland Paris.

The only other opening day family ride was Flying Carpets Over Agrabah . There was also an intense thrill ride, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster avec Aerosmith . Otherwise, the park relied on scheduled shows.

To meet a contractual obligation with the French government to open a second park by 2002, the park was rushed to completion with a limited budget. Most buildings were “soundstages” — big boxes, with minimal architectural details, enclosing a lot of space inexpensively. A number of attraction signs were just large billboards.

Over the years, some artifacts along the tram route were replaced or repositioned, but Disney did not add any new show scenes.

In 2005, languages other than French and English were discontinued, although the other four narrators all made brief appearances at the end of the video.

In 2007, the attraction’s entrance was updated from the original billboard-style façade to a Hollywood Hills tunnel façade.

After a run of almost 18 years, Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic closed January 5, 2020.

The tram tour returned as Cars Road Trip on June 17, 2021. This PIXAR-ized version of the ride uses the same trams, but the route is substantially shorter. Walt Disney Studios Park is being expanded to become Disney Adventure World, a theme park worthy of the Disney brand. The old load area and the Reign of Fire scene were in the path of that expansion.

Cruz Ramirez and Sally Carrera instead of Irène Jacob and Jeremy Irons

The video monitors onboard the tram cars now feature Cruz Ramirez and Sally Carrera as the narrators, with Cruz speaking English and Sally speaking French. The theme is now a road trip on Route 66 — but instead of having evocative scenes of the American Southwest in the tradition of Disney-PIXAR’s Cars (2006), this Route 66 has French forest trees, some billboards, and lots of wooden walls.

Cars-tastrophe Canyon

Cars Road Trip comes across as a temporary attraction to provide much-needed ride capacity while World of Frozen and other expansion projects are under construction. Catastrophe Canyon remains impressive as Cars-tastrophe Canyon, while also showing how unimpressive the rest of the ride is.

Cars Road Trip, Walt Disney Studios Paris

An artistic Mater-piece, the I-Fuel Tower

Actually, Cars Road Trip could be made into an engaging family attraction. It would require a proper enhancement budget. The Disney decision-makers who control the budgets need to take a trip to Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. They would see how delightful the world of Cars can be when Walt Disney Imagineering is provided with sufficient resources.

Imagine Cars Road Trip in a convincing Cars setting, with plenty of imaginative show scenes.

Backlot Tour, Disney Studios, Disneyland Paris

This is a set of photographs taken during July 2008 of the Back lot tour ride at Disneyland Paris.

The ride is similar to the one at Orlando but the tour doesnt start on foot, each tour is done on the trams which you stay on until you return back to the loading bay.

Each trip lasts about 15 minutes and you have plenty of time for taking pictures during this trip.

I actually preferred this ride to the one we had done previously in Orlando back in Febraury, apart from been allot newer than the Orlando Back lot tour the duration was just right and didnt involve the pre show antics which are featured in Florida.

The Backlot tour ride opened in Walt Disney Studios, Disneyland Paris in March 2002 when the studios part of Disneyland Paris area was opened.

Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic

  • View history

As part of the park's major expansion, much of the Tram Tour is to be removed for the new lands. Catastrophe Canyon is to be retained and incorporated into a new abridged Cars -based attraction, Cars: Road Trip . [1]

  • 5 References

Summary [ ]

Guests entered the attraction via the Hollywood Boulevard section of the park, under a false facade of the Hollywood sign. The tram ride portion of the attraction featured highlights such as the Catastrophe Canyon scene and a look into the set of London in ruins from the film Reign of Fire . In the Catastrophe Canyon scene, the tram stopped when rain started pouring down, followed by an earthquake and then fire occurring across the scene. Afterwards, a flood came down and extinguished the fire, allowing the tram to continue the tour. In the Reign of Fire scene, the tram stops once again to discover what it is like there where the fire effects are used just before the tram comes to a complete stop.

Until 2009, the Tram Tour used to pass through the costume workshop, but this part was removed due to the upcoming expansions to Walt Disney Studios. Imagineers wanted to create a studio tour at the Walt Disney Studios Park based on the existing tour  at  Disney's Hollywood Studios , where the tour was once the park's signature attraction.

The voiceovers were done mainly by Jeremy Irons and Irène Jacob via bilingual video who explain to guests of how movies are made using sets, costumes, props, etc. and how special effects are used in movies. Until 2005, 2 other versions were used hosted by Isabella Rossellini (Italian) and Famke Janssen (Dutch), and Nastassja Kinski (German) and Inés Sastre (Spanish). At the end of the attraction, Irène Jacob and Jeremy Irons bid guests a farewell during the conclusion of the tour, along with the other host celebrities bidding farewells in their native languages.

  • Props and animatronic figures from ABC's Dinotopia miniseries.
  • When the tram passes through the Reign of Fire scene, an advertisement for The Lion King musical can be seen on a double-decker bus.
  • The route had to be shortened in 2009 to make way for the expansions of Toon Studio and Toy Story Playland .

Backlot at Walt Disney Studios Park

Welcome to the Backlot - here the action rages and you are right in the middle

Note: the Backlot area is now closed and will be replaced by the Avengers Campus

Walk along the Rue Georges Méllès, past the Restaurant des Stars, and you will automatically reach the Backlot area. Action and thrills are guaranteed in this part of Walt Disney Studios Park.

The Backlot is characterized by the Armadillo , a huge shiny metallic spacecraft that was used in the film Armageddon. Space lovers are only a small step away from their next big adventure, because from here it is only a few meters to the entrance of the attraction Armageddon, which is all about special effects.

Across the street it is a bit quieter, familiar movie sets are set up here and in front of it is Piazza Sergio Leone, which is dedicated to the great director. The action-packed rollercoaster Rock'n'Roller Coaster is hard to miss. Here you can take a tour through the Force Records studio, where Aerosmith is waiting for you. However, you need to be brave when visiting the recording studio, because loopings and a catapult start are part of the program.

If you have survived the visit to the recording studio, there is even more action. This time, however, it is more to watch: the Stunt Show arena is just around the corner. This is where daring stuntmen put their skills to test several times a day.

What is a Backlot? An area on the site of a film studio on which an outdoor set is built is called a Backlot. As a rule, only the facades of buildings are erected, which saves time and costs. In this way, outdoor scenes can also be shot on site.

Backlot - the days are numbered

The days of the backlot as we know it are over. A major expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park was announced in February 2018, some of which will take place in the backlot area. The new Marvel area will find its place here. While, for almost a year, nothing noticeable happened after the announcement but there have been some changes since April 2019. The Armageddon: Special Effects attraction was closed and the Armadillo parked in front of it was removed. In September 2019, the Rock'n'Roller Coaster closed to be transformed into a Marvel roller coaster. More and more fences and closures followed, so that you can no longer get into this area at all. The only exception is the stunt show. It is still open and there are two to three performances in the stunt arena every day. Access is now via a new path signposted in Walt Disney Studios Park. Should you not be able to find it, please speak to one of the Cast Members on site.

Fun fact from Backlot

Les Parapluis de Cherbourg - a funny detail in the backlot. True to the motto "Singing in the rain" you can cool down a bit here on hot days or are you still looking for a funny photo motif? Then just stand under the umbrella in front of the umbrella shop and a short shower will not be long in coming. If you serenade us a little now, you'll quickly become the star of the backlot. A ring of onlookers will quickly form around you. So, what are you waiting for?!

Extinct Attractions – Disneyland Paris’ Studio Tram Tour

Welcome to Extinct Attractions. Today, we’ll be finishing up our look at studio tours in the Disney and Universal parks by taking a trip across the Atlantic Ocean to Paris.

disneyland paris backlot tour

On Sunday, Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years and upon winning the Super Bowl MVP award got to utter the famous line, “I’m going to Disney World!” This year, Disney really upped the ante by inviting over 15 Make-A-Wish children to also be a part of the celebration. Combining the foundation with the nation’s most popular sport must have made for an amazing experience for these kids.

Additionally, Mahomes, and hopefully the kids, got a chance to ride Rise of the Resistance, Hollywood Studios’ newest headliner attraction.

disneyland paris backlot tour

Speaking of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you are probably aware of how much of an influence it had on Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, especially when the Parisian park opened on March 16, 2002. As I detailed last week, when Hollywood Studios opened, they advertised the Studio Backlot Tour  as a can’t miss, headliner attraction, so when its Parisian sister park opened, they tried the same tactic with Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic.

disneyland paris backlot tour

Unlike Florida’s version that was designed as a two-hour experience to teach guests about every aspect of filmmaking, the Paris version was created as a more traditional 20-minute attraction that included some education on the filmmaking process but at its core was made to entertain not teach.

Even with the changes to the experience to make it less grand, they still billed it as the primary experience of the park, as seen by its placement in the middle of the park. I understand what they were going for, but it still seems like an odd move since tram tours take up a lot of space, so building roads through easy places to expand doesn’t make a ton of sense. In fact, that even came back to bite them when they had to reroute the roads multiple times over the years.

One cool aspect of the attraction was that it utilized two different celebrities to narrate the attraction, with Irène Jacob providing the French parts and Jeremy Irons, the English. It was interesting hearing the two interact while speaking two different languages, something the French parks do quite often.

disneyland paris backlot tour

Via The DLP Geek

The attraction started with a pretty lengthy journey through a forested area before coming across some of the sets from Dinotopia , a Disney-produced miniseries. Honestly, I was very confused during this part of the attraction because neither part actually felt like a studio tour. What studio is surrounded by a myriad of trees with props placed in an exhibit-like fashion throughout?

disneyland paris backlot tour

Via YouTube

Next, guests rolled on up to Catastrophe Canyon, which functioned almost identically to its counterpart across the ocean. While Catastrophe Canyon is a fun experience, it is not like anything that you would ever actually experience in a studio. They would never build a huge theme park-type attraction to capture a shot for a movie. They tried to explain it as a special effects showcase, but realistically it was just further proving the point that this was a studio tour in name only.

After Catastrophe Canyon, the tram drove back through the exact same Dinotopia props that you went through earlier. So thus far, you had done one giant circle and seen pretty much zero things that you would actually see on a studio lot. No soundstages, no editing bays, no backlot. Even the attempt with the props fell short because they truly felt so out of place in the middle of this forest. But then, we had one the saving grace in the whole experience, the streets of London.

disneyland paris backlot tour

Via Pinterest

The attraction felt like it was about to end because the tram passed the loading area, but then it kept trucking on to recreated London sets from Reign of Fire . These streets felt like a true studio backlot London area and even though they added some effects to add to the experience, it was finally something close to visiting a film studio. Even though it only lasted a couple of minutes, it was easily my favorite part of the attraction and the one part that I wish I could have seen with my own eyes.

If it wasn’t obvious by now, I was not a fan of this attraction. Referring to it as a studio tour is one of the most misleading attraction names that I’ve heard of in a Disney Park. Honestly, if it had dropped the “studio tram tour” and just called itself “Behind the Magic,” I would’ve been much more on board. It had the chance to be something so much greater than it was.

disneyland paris backlot tour

Eventually, the powers that be at Disneyland Paris finally decided that it was time to move on in the area and the attraction closed on January 5, 2020. Walt Disney Studios Park is evolving like Hollywood Studios’ in that it is focusing more on helping guests live the movies as opposed to teaching guests about them. Much of the attraction is going to be scrapped for the upcoming Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen lands coming to the park, but Catastrophe Canyon will be sticking around as a part of the new Cars Route 66 Road Trip coming Summer 2020. I love the idea of restructuring that part of a new attraction, and I wish Catastrophe Canyon the best of luck in its new life.

Well, that brings us to a close today, but here’s what’s coming next week.

  • This Universal attraction went through two iterations.
  • The second iteration had to do with a tournament between four competitors from a popular IP.
  • This attraction had its original inspiration from Animal Kingdom.

ABTA covers package holidays that include rail, cruise or self-drive transport but does not offer protection for flight-based packages. ABTA also provides advice for people who believe their holiday package has been mis-sold and are seeking compensation.

ATOL covers package holidays that include flights- for example, a flight and accommodation package. If your travel company ceases trading, you will be entitled to a refund if you have not yet travelled. If you are on holiday at the time, you will be flown home with repatriation flights through ATOL. However, ATOL does not cover flights which have been purchased directly through the airline.

Another difference between the two is that ATOL is a compulsory licensing system run by the government, while ABTA is a voluntary scheme that travel companies can sign up to if they meet the requirements.

New ‘Cars’ Road Trip Attraction Debuting Soon!

in Disneyland Paris

Cars 2

Buckle your seat belts, Disney fans! Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is getting a new attraction when it reopens. The ride, called Cars Road Trip, will take Guests on an exciting journey with characters from the Cars franchise!

Walt Disney Studios Park

Goodbye Studio Tram Tour

The Studio Tram Tour at Walt Disney Studios Park was very similar to The Studio Backlot Tour attraction (now Toy Story Land) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

Disneyland Paris Guests would board a tram near a Hollywood sign and enjoy the sites of a backstage studio tour and movie sets within Hollywood Boulevard and Catastrophe Canyon.

At the European Disney park, Disney Imagineers decided it was time to retheme the Studio Tram Tour and replace it with a new Cars theme called Cars Route 66. This was originally announced in 2019. Catastrophe Canyon will still remain, but with a new attraction featuring some Cars characters.

Studio Tram Tour

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic, Disneyland Paris remains closed due to French government regulations. No reopening date has been set, which means the original 2020 opening date for Cars Route 66 has been pushed back indefinitely.

Hello Cars Road Trip

Disneyland Paris shared a wonderful YouTube video yesterday, called Disneyland Paris – Celebrating 29 Years of Dreams.

In the video, Beth Clapperton from Walt Disney Imagineering explained the story behind the all-new experience called Cars Road Trip — the ride was previously known as Cars Route 66 Road Trip:

Cars Road Trip Is a new very attractive attraction, which is based on the legendary Route 66, and the story Cars. We are welcomed by Sally and Cruise, and some of Pixar’s other animated characters, and they will come with us on the journey. We’ll see what attractions are a bit crazy, on the journey along this famous road.  Credit: Pixar

You can check out a previous video of construction on the attraction below:

It’s very family-based, and a makeover has also been carried out of Catastrophe Canyon which was the highlight of the former attraction. It has been made over with a new character and a new message.

Five Things We LOVED about the Studio Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

disneyland paris backlot tour

While change is inevitable at Walt Disney World, there are some attractions whose fond farewells hurt more than others. This was certainly true of the Studio Backlot Tour , which was the premiere attraction when then-MGM Studios opened on May 1, 1989. The attraction closed permanently on September 27, 2014, to make way for Toy Story Land.

disneyland paris backlot tour

This was one of the most unique attractions in Disney World. It’s combination walking tour and ride made for a complete experience that took guests through the movie-making process. Both entertaining and educational, this attraction was full of memorable components that we miss to this day.

The Original

The original version of the Studio Backlot Tour, then called Backstage Studio Tour, was much longer. In fact, it was a whopping two hours long, and Disney had built in a break for guests half way through! In 1996 the attraction was renamed the Studio Backlot Tour, and by then much of the attraction had changed from its original concept.

disneyland paris backlot tour

The Harbor Attack  Experience

The first major component of the Studio Backlot Tour most people will remember is the  Harbor Attack  show. Those lucky enough to have been selected as volunteers would act out a scene in a large show area while the other guests watched. The purposes of this portion of the attraction was to show guests how water tanks are utilized on film sets to create special effects. Where else in Disney World can you have this sort of unique experience nowadays!?

disneyland paris backlot tour

The Prop Warehouse

One of the remaining pieces of the walking portion of the Backlot Tour was the prop warehouse. This room, which brought guests out to the tram loading area, held countless props and costume pieces from films such as  Who Framed Roger Rabbit , The Santa Clause,  Honey, I Shrunk the Kids , and  The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

The Boneyard

One of the lasting parts of the tram tour was a trip to the boneyard. This is a place where guests could see vehicles used in several films, including  Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,  and  Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest . It was around this portion of the tram ride where guests would get a great view of the “Earful Tower”, the original icon of the park.

disneyland paris backlot tour

Catastrophe Canyon

Most guests will remember Catastrophe Canyon as the “grand finale” of the Studio Backlot Tour. In its original version, this would be near the conclusion of the first half of the attraction, with the walking tour taking up the second half. This ‘live’ movie set gave guests a glimpse into the special effects process when shooting a film. Effects included a rumbling earthquake that would shake the trams, a fuel truck explosion (complete with a fireball), and a flood of water rushing towards the trams. Once the sequence was over, the set would reset before the guests’ eyes, again lifting the veil on the movie making process.

I miss the backlot tour. My family and I always enjoyed it. I liked the prop room and was once chosen for The Harbor Attack Experience. It was a blast!!

We went the first year it was operating and it was wonderful. They did a little bank robbery scene while you were going by, you saw the home fronts with the open backs that they used to film, you went through wardrobe design and my whole family got to participate in the harbor attack. It took a long time but, it was great.

Once Disney made the decision to abandon the idea of a true working studio (both live action and animation) in Florida, a “behind the scene” tour ceased to make sense.

While I enjoyed the tour in its early days, several years later, during a trip to California, I did the Universal backlot tour. Now that was an authentic “behind the scenes” look with a rich history. Disney’s version,‘by comparison falls short.

how about ❤️ For the cast members who worked this attraction. My daughter did! The spiel was very long asked an accomplishment to learn. They brought the emotion and excitement to the different sets. It was such a fun experience

In my mind, I group this and the animation tour together as one. They are both a tremendous loss. For me, the biggest things missed are the Williams/Cronkite film (animation) and the Midler film (studio walking). They were informative and entertaining. I also liked seeing how the animation working area was set up and the film stage areas, even if there was nothing live happening. I would have loved the Studios to succeed as a working studio, but there is much historical and educational benefit that could have been preserved.

Disneyland Paris Gets an Adventure World Makeover in This Week's Theme Park News

Disneyland paris gets an adventure world makeover in this week's theme park news, plus: universal's epic universe gets immersive space themed hotels, and pixar fest reveals its tasty treats..

Tangled lantern ride

Bob Iger and Josh D’Amaro were serious when they said they were “turbo-charging” progress at Disney Parks as Disneyland Paris sets out to reinvent its second park into Disney’s Adventure World. This new park transformation will feature its own World of Frozen and more experiences from Disney’s legacy.

Stateside, Pixar Fest teases its foodie menu at California Adventure, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure releases more details, and Test Track at Epcot gets a needed re-theme. Plus, Universal Studios has officially revealed its own immersive hotels: the Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts, which will nestle guests among the stars.

And in more international news, WB World Abu Dhabi will be premiering a brand new Looney Tunes show as the iconic characters delve into sports just in time for the Olympics. Can’t make it out to Abu Dhabi? Looney Tunes will be collaborating with Conqueror on a new digital race virtual challenge you can join from anywhere with some very real Looney medals.

Here’s the latest news from theme parks and immersive experiences.

Disney’s Adventure World

Watch the video above for a sneak peek at the turbocharged action happening at Disneyland Paris, as Walt Disney Studios Park becomes Disney’s Adventure World. The reinvention—inspired by recent additions like Avengers Campus—aims to double the size of the park with more beloved Disney stories, including World of Frozen .

World of Frozen

Check out the concept designs for World of Frozen, which will join the now open worlds of Pixar and Marvel Avengers Campus at Disney Adventure World. Additionally Frozen will bring along other fairytale faves like Tangled with Raiponce Tangled Spin , where you can sit in tiny boats that spin with the classic lantern scene above you. There will also be a new park entrance built and the announcement of a yet-to-be-named immersive world that Disney Imagineers are currently working on. We’re hoping for a new Star Wars land, perhaps not a new version of Galaxy’s Edge but something new.

Alice in Wonderland musical

First look at a new Alice in Wonderland musical also coming to Disneyland Paris.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure new critters

We are obsessed with the frogs added into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure . (The one on the right looks like the Kevin James meme.)

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure poster art

Here’s the official poster for the attraction coming this summer to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and later this year at Disneyland. We wonder if each restaurant or house facade in the posters will be different locations for the ride’s grand finale.

Test Track at Epcot

After being outshone by the Cars ride, Test Track is gearing up for its own re-theme.

Universal Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts

Universal Stella Nova Resort will open January 21, 2025, with Universal Terra Luna Resort opening February 25, 2025. The new hotel resort area will have a combined total of 1,500 rooms described by Universal as “luminous, ultramodern and surreal.” These hotels were designed with a modern sci-fi aesthetic in mind, and the idea that the spaceship-styled windows will immerse guests looking to relax and sleep among stars and planets. We wonder if that means the use of AR screens to transport folks staying there to some galactic scenic overlooks. Those planning a Universal Orlando vacation for the upcoming year will be pleased to find out that these stays come at an affordable price point starting at $147 (per night, plus tax) on the new properties, which you can book now .

Universal Monsters shop

It’s almost halfway to Halloween but Universal Monsters fans live the life 365! This Universal Monsters shop is now open at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Glamor Trams celebrate 60 years of the Universal Studios Backlot Tour

Red glamour trams universal studios hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood celebrates the Studio Tour ’s 60th anniversary with a new experience on the iconic original theme park attraction from April 26 through August 11. Guests will be able to ride the red and white candy-striped Glamor Trams and hop off the tram for cinematic photo-ops including a giant King Kong backdrop and the theme park’s original hanging Jaws shark. The “Earthquake—The Big One” section has undergone some renovations and will debut with a new look. Additionally the tour will feature a stop at Courthouse Square, known for its historic film history in Back to the Future, and guests will see an original time machine picture car with Doc Brown out and about. And keep your eyes peeled for a Tyrannosaurus rex display added to the totally safe and locked paddock of wild dinosaurs featured on the tour.

WB World Abu Dhabi’s new Looney Tunes show

Starting April 13 and running through May 26 is the new ‘Team Looney Tunes Get in the Game” stage show at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park. After its debut on Yas Island, the show will go to Parque Warner Madrid, Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia, and more (hey WB, please bring it to the states).
