Let’s Take A Closer Look at the Boarding Requirements For Disney Cruise Line

by Melissa Roden · July 23, 2021

Disney Cruise best

Today, we here at MickeyBlog are delighted to share the news with you that Disney will resume cruising beginning on August 9th.   With this in mind, Disney Cruise Line is reaching out to all guests booked for Summer sailings to let them know of new boarding requirements including COVID testing, vaccination requirements and more.

With clients on these sailings, I’ve received emails from Disney regarding the new boarding requirements and want to share them with you to keep you in the know. So, Let’s dive in.

Two Days at Castaway Cay

Due to the health and safety of passengers, Disney Cruise Line has made the decision that guests WILL NOT disembark at Nassau in the Bahamas. Instead on 3 and 4 night sailings, they will be adding in an additional stop at Castaway Cay . This gives guests two days to enjoy Disney’s private island.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

Disney Cruise line is NOT requiring that all passengers be vaccinated for COVID-19, especially given that many of the passengers are kids under 12 for which the vaccines are not available.  Rather their official stance is that guests are encouraged to be vaccinated and may want to provide proof of vaccination in order to be exempt from pre-trip embarkation COVID-19 testing and travel insurance requirements.

Port Canaveral

Pre-Trip COVID-19 Testing

Before cruising guests MUST provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test (paid for at the guest’s expense.) The test must be taken between 5 days and 24 hours before the sail date. Those fully vaccinated can provide proof of vaccination instead of undergoing COVID-19 pre-trip testing.

Embarkation

COVID-19 Testing at Embarkation:

Guests MUST undergo a rapid PCR COVID-19 test at the terminal BEFORE boarding.  There is a $65 fee for the test which will be charged to the folios of all guests ages 12 and older.

Guests who are fully vaccinated may choose to provide proof of vaccination INSTEAD of undergoing COVID-19 embarkation testing.

Mandatory Log VIA Safe Passage by Inspire Diagnostic Website

A requirement of sailing for Disney Cruise Line passengers is that ALL guests MUST individually create an account with Inspire Diagnostics.  This is a 3rd Party provider for COVID-19 testing and vaccination verifications.

  • Adults: No later than 33 days out, EACH ADULT must log into the Safe Passage website, by Inspire Diagnostics and create an online account associated with your Disney Cruise Line reservation.
  • Travelling with minors? Parents or legal guardians MUST create accounts on behalf of minors.
  • Recommended : In addition to creating your accounts with Inspire Diagnostics, Disney Cruise Line is advising that passengers should bring their negative COVID-19 PCR test or vaccination card. Final doses of the vaccines MUST be administered at least 14 days before sailing.

Travel Insurance:

For cruises departing from Florida through December 31, 2021 , Guests 12 years or older MUST provide proof of valid travel insurance with a minimum of $10,000 per person in medical expense coverage and $30,000 coverage for emergency medical evacuation and NO COVID-19 exclusions.

The insurance policy MUST name the guest as the policy holder and beneficiary and may be purchased through the Guests’ preferred travel insurance provider OR through Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Program.. Guests that purchase insurance from a provider OTHER than Disney Cruise Line will need to provide proof of insurance policy showing the name of each covered guests and a description of the coverage in the policy to Inspire (See Above) prior in order to receive sailing clearance.

Guests who are fully vaccinated may opt to show proof of vaccination instead of getting travel insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Disney Cruise Line Documentation

Anyone embarking on a Disney Cruise Line sailing must provide identification documents prior to check-in . Some guests, particularly those who are new to international travel, may find the documentation requirements confusing. We’re here to help. But before we get started … please note that these are the rules for UNITED STATES CITIZENS .

Residents of other countries have different requirements. It is your responsibility to have the correct paperwork. When in doubt, consult the DCL website, call DCL at 1-800-951-3532, or consult US Department of State resources.

Are there different documentation rules for children and adults?

All people, regardless of age, must provide identifying documents to sail. See below for the few exceptions where people under the age of 16 may use slightly different paperwork.

What identification documents will I need to sail?

This depends on where your sailing originates and where you’re going. There are different rules for different types of voyages, which I’ll enumerate below.

That said, the gold standard for travel identification is a passport book. A passport will work as an identifying document in all travel situations.

What are the reasons why I wouldn’t want to get a passport?

The main reason people opt out of getting a passport is price. Currently the price for adults to get a new or renewal passport book is $135 (good for 10 years) and for children under age 16 is $100, (good for 5 years). There is also a $35 execution fee for each person. If you have a large family, that can add a hefty cost to your vacation.

Additionally, there are now significant processing times for passports. Waits of up to 16 weeks are not unheard of. If you book your cruise close to your sail date, you might not have time to get a passport delivered.

Or if, for example, your cruise is a family reunion that includes an elderly relative who will clearly be unable to travel beyond your sailing, then applying for a passport might not be worth the expense and trouble.

Even so, a passport can be a valuable ID tool in other non-travel situations for most citizens.

What is a passport card? How is it different from a passport book?

  • Use : Allows international travel by air, sea, or land.
  • Size : Larger, with more pages for visas and stamps.
  • Cost : More expensive than a passport card.
  • Recommended for : Extensive international travel.
  • Use : Allows land and sea travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
  • Size : Wallet-sized, similar to a credit card.
  • Cost : Less expensive than a passport book.
  • Recommended for : Traveling to specific nearby countries by land or sea.

Note that one of the main differences between a passport card and passport book is that the book may be used for air travel while the card may not. If you were to encounter an emergency on a Caribbean island (for example), you could use a passport book to fly home quickly. This would not be possible with a passport card.

I’m going on an Alaskan DCL cruise and see (below) that there are different rules for different arrival methods. Why does it matter how I get to Vancouver?

While US citizens can certainly visit Alaska with no extraordinary identification, DCL cruises headed to Alaska embark from the Canadian port of Vancouver.

As noted above, you can use a US passport card to arrive in Canada via land or sea, but not by air. If you’re a US citizen and take a train or car to Vancouver you can use a passport card or Trusted Traveler card, but not if you’re flying to Vancouver. You should also be aware that some port excursions on the Alaskan cruises travel into Canada. Your ID documents may impact whether a particular excursion is available to you.

I’d like to get a passport, but my cruise is coming up soon. Is there any way to get a passport quickly?

To get a passport in 7-9 weeks, the US State Department offers an expedited service for an additional $60 per application in addition to the regular passport fees.

If your sailing is sooner than 9 weeks away, you might qualify for Urgent Travel processing. If your travel is fewer than 14 days away, you may be able to get an in-person processing appointment. These appointments can be hard to come by may not be available near your home. Call 877-487-2778 for more information.

My child does not have a passport or a Government-issued photo ID, does this mean they can’t sail?

Children age 15 and younger are an exception to the above rule. If your child is 15 or younger, they may use one on the above documents without also providing a photo ID.

Note that US states can provide a non-driver official ID for citizens ages 16 and up. The fee for this is typically less than the fee to get a driver’s license.

Can I use my Social Security Card for cruise ID?

No neither Social Security nor Global Entry cards are acceptable of proof of United States citizenship for travel outside of the US.

I have a baby. Are there special circumstances for getting a passport for an infant?

I’ll refer you to an excellent article from Afar Magazine that addresses this very topic.

What is the six-month validity rule for passports?

If you have a passport that is expiring in the next year, you may want to renew it prior to your cruise. Most countries require your US passport to have a minimum of 6-months validity after your intended return date.

The purpose of this validity is to safeguard against unforeseen delays you may face in leaving the country you are visiting. (You get stuck in a country due to a new pandemic outbreak, for example.) The State Department recommends that U.S. citizens renew their passports approximately nine months before the date of expiration.

I’m getting married and am going on a cruise for my honeymoon. Can I still sail if my new married name doesn’t match my passport?

You may be able to use a passport with a previous name if you also bring with you a marriage certificate, divorce decree, or court documents showing a legal name change. That said, you’ll run into fewer problems is your booking and identification documents all match.

This is a situation where you should call DCL and the US State Department in advance to ensure that you’ll be able to sail. In some cases, changing the name on your cruise booking or expediting an updated passport may facilitate your travels.

All this passport stuff is confusing me. Can anyone help?

While DCL doesn’t offer any help, several other major cruise lines recommend VisaCentral.com (877-304-8071) as a reputable source of passport assistance. This is a fee-based service, but if you just want someone to guide you through the process, these folks can help.

How do I get my ID documents to Disney Cruise Line?

DCL asks guests to submit their ID documents online prior to sailing. This takes place during the Online Check-In process . You must also bring all your ID documents with you to your cruise embarkation.

Identification Rules for Different Situations

Ok. let’s say i’m sailing out of a united states port and returning to the same united states port (a “closed loop” cruise). what documents do i need for this.

For a sailing that starts and ends in the United States (for example, those sailing both to and from Port Canaveral, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, San Diego, New York, or New Orleans), guests will need to present a valid original (not a copy) US passport book, a valid original (not a copy) US passport card, or a valid original (not a copy) Trusted Traveler Card (NEXUS, FAST).

If you don’t have a passport or Trusted Traveler card, you can substitute with any of the following:

  • Puerto Rico birth certificates issued prior to 7/1/10 are not acceptable
  • Hospital-issued birth certificates are not acceptable
  • Original Consular Report of Birth Abroad issued by the Department of State AND a physical Government-issued photo ID (digital/mobile state-issued IDs are not acceptable to sail)
  • Original Certificate of Naturalization issued by US Citizenship and Immigration Services AND a physical Government-issued photo ID (digital/mobile state-issued IDs are not acceptable to sail)

Note: Closed-loop sailings are the most common type of Disney Cruise Line voyage, but there are many others.

What if I’m not going a US-based closed loop cruise? Do the rules change?

Yes. And there are several variations, so be sure you know the rules for your specific situation.

For Alaskan cruises originating in Vancouver , US citizens will need:

US Citizens (Including Children) Traveling to or Returning From Canada (Vancouver) by Air

  • Original valid US Passport

US Citizens (Guests 16 years of age and older) Traveling to Canada (Vancouver) by Land or Sea

  • Original valid US Passport Card
  • Original valid Trusted Traveler Card (NEXUS, FAST)

US Citizens (Guests 15 years of age and younger) Traveling to Canada (Vancouver) by Land or Sea

Guests who are legal permanent residents of the US must present a valid original passport and a Permanent Resident Card to travel outside the US. Photocopies are not acceptable. If traveling by air to Canada, US Permanent Residents must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

disney cruise line travel requirements

For one-way (repositioning) Caribbean cruises (examples may include Galveston to San Juan, San Juan to Miami or Fort Lauderdale).

US Citizens (Including Children)

  • Guests who are legal permanent residents of the US must present a valid original Permanent Resident Card. Photocopies are not acceptable.

For European sailings :

  • Original valid passport (valid at least 6 months after the sailing has ended)
  • Additionally, you may be required to obtain a multiple-entry visas for Europe ( Schengen Visa ). It is each Guest’s responsibility to identify and obtain all the necessary visas.

For Pacific Coast or Canada sailings between Hawaii and Vancouver – One-way (repositioning) cruises :

US Citizens (Including Children) Traveling to or Returning from Canada by Air

Us citizens (including children) traveling to or returning from canada by land or sea.

For Panama Canal crossings :

Note: Guests who are legal permanent residents of the US must present a valid original Permanent Resident Card. Photocopies are not acceptable.

For Transatlantic crossings :

  • Original valid US Passport (valid at least 6 months after the sailing has ended)
  • In addition to a valid passport, you may be required to obtain multiple-entry visas for Europe ( Schengen Visa ).

US Legal Permanent Residents

In addition to all the permutations listed above, there are several ID variations needed for US guests going on the Australia and New Zealand cruises, including the South Pacific Repositioning sailings,  depending on whether there are minor children in the party, whether the minors are accompanied by their legal guardians or not, and whether the cruise makes a port stop in New Caledonia (a French territory). US citizens will need a passport book for these sailings and visas may be necessary in some situations. PLEASE speak to a travel agent or DCL directly to ensure that you understand the nuances of ID requirements and permissions for minors for these sailings.

The Panama Canal information is not correct. You can only travel with a Passport or similar document. The Disney Website is NOT correct with that information. There were folks on the WB Panama Canal this year that ended up with cancelled cruises because they followed what was on the DCL website. Their documentation was never approved prior to port and Disney called them to remind them they needed passports. This is outlined in the Western Hemisphere Trave Initiative and on the Customs and Border Control Website as well. Further NEXUS is not valid as this is a sea entry as well.

We did a closed loop out of Italy this summer (2023). At the time, Italy was ok with a child’s passport with 3+ months remaining, it was DCL that refused (via the app) and calling only gave vague answers like ‘probably OK’ but could not guarantee anything. As this would have mean all 3 of us missing a 7 day cruise with no refunds or place to stay, we went to the Consulate in Rome for an emergency passport. Surprisingly, took only a few hours (we had her birth certificate and her standard passport) and the fee paid was applicable toward a renewed passport once we got home.

One of more than a few things as 1st time cruisers that we had to learn as we went from DCL.

22 Replies to “Know Before You Go Updates: COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement Sailing Away Soon – Unvaccinated Guests Still Required to Test”

' src=

Yes! Finally!!!!!! I have been pushing back multiple cruises over and over until they removed this. Thank you Disney Cruise Line!!!

' src=

Whoop whoop — We were orignally slatted to sail in April 2020. Have rescheduled multiple times due to their vaccine requirement. So excited that they have dropped this ridiculousness…

' src=

I just got the email this morning! Wonderful news!

' src=

We’re a go for May 2023 on the Wish! It was only a matter of time as many of us predicted. Disney saw the booking traffic and realized they were done unless they dropped all the requirements. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see testing requirements dropped in a month or 2 as well.

Right. Dropping the vaccines was the first and most important step. Now I’m hoping by my April cruise that testing is gone. Since the vaccinated are catching and spreading the virus the same as everyone else, testing only the unvaccinated is really pointless. All it does is brings uncertainty of having to cancel a trip at the last minute, which is bad for Disney as well since they refund the trip. But dropping the vaccines is great!

My guess is only a few months more of these testing requirements. Disney likes to slow roll these changes to make it look like they’re customer focused and safe. But when you see entire countries like Canada completely dropping years old vaccine and testing requirements, DCL won’t be far behind.

' src=

Almost there, DCL. We refuse to get tested as well. Once that non-sense is gone. We’ll be back!

' src=

all unvaccinated children should be subject to testing, as vaccination is available for all over age 6 months.

With all the issues that many children are having I would never vaccinate my child with an emergency use vaccine. They have admitted they have not done enough trials with children. They have a long time to live with no one knows what the long term effects will be. I applaud the parents who are not vaccinating their young children yet.

' src=

I think this is a bad decision. There will be a lot more cases onboard

Great to see the science finally winning over the fear and panic of the last few years. Now if they will just get rid of the nonsense testing requirements…

' src=

Lol – this is literally the opposite of science winning. I’m so tired of all of the plague rats. Enjoy your diminished life expectancy and quality from multiple infections!

You are ridiculous if you believe that having a test or a vaccination will protect you from getting covid on a cruise. I will tell you I am vaxxed was tested and got Covid on 2 of my disney cruises. This is hogwash. Something to make you feel better. Unfortunately we will never know if it protected you from death because none of the dead people are commenting. My advice to you is just don’t cruise because this is the way it is going to be and this is not going to change. I applaud Disney finally doing the right thing. Oh and by the way do you stay in your house all the time? Because if not you are near all kinds of people vaxxed and unvaxxed all the time.

@Cathy – no need to respond to these folks. S has literally said the same thing about plague rats since the beginning on many other threads. Unfortunately for S the options for cruising will rapidly close for him/her. NCL just got rid of all covid requirements (masking, testing and vaccinations). The entire country of Canada did the same. More will follow including DCL. S will simply have to hide away for the rest of their life while the rest of us go on living. Like you, I’m vaccinated and ready to move past all of this. How S thinks they will not have their own “diminished life quality” is beyond me if they never leave the house out of fear.

You are right. I guess it never ceases to amaze me when I read this stuff on Disney pages like these as well as actual cruise pages. I mean don’t these people research or read anything?

' src=

I am elated by this! Common sense has prevailed – jabbed or not you can still transmit or catch C19 it makes no difference. Wash your hands!

Totally agree with you. At least some people still have common sense and live their lives fully and not out of manufactured fear.

' src=

Don’t know if you’ll know the answer but thought I’d try anyhow. We were booked on a cruise that left on the 1st with my whole side of the family. Unfortunately our youngest tested positive and we were unable to go. We were however able to rebook just our little family to a later date. This date is after the new policy goes into effect (for better or worse). Will we need to provide proof of recovery even if our child is under 4 and no longer is required to test?

' src=

The policy for your upcoming cruise as defined by Disney Cruise Line’s Know Before You Sail information is what you’d need to follow. I would not want to speculate on what will be required in the future, but in general, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to have additional documentation if needed.

Thank you! I will definitely double check with DCL agents since now my child is documented in their system as having recently had COVID, but it does sound like we should be good to go anyway.

No you will not. Since they have changed the policy you won’t need any of that. You only need to follow the policy as stated.

' src=

Bermuda removed COVID testing for vaccinated travelers starting 25Oct. Why is DCL still requires negative covid tests on Magic sailings out of NYC?

How Much Does A Disney Cruise Cost? - 2024

I ’ve been on twelve Disney cruises, so I obviously think that the Disney Cruise line is worth the money. But when you are booking your family cruise, you may look at other family-friendly cruise lines as well. Disney Cruise Line cruises can often be more expensive, and without really knowing about the experience, it can be hard to justify the extra expense.

If you are considering taking a Disney cruise for your next family vacation, you’re probably wondering, “How much does a Disney Cruise cost” ? It’s important to understand, whether you are evaluating different cruise options or budgeting for a future trip. You’ll probably also wonder what’s included and whether it’s worth the cost.

The price of a Disney cruise depends on many factors. Here’s an overview of Disney Cruise prices as well as what’s included and what factors influence the price.

Disclosure I’ve been on one complimentary media preview cruise and two cruises as part of Disney Social Media Moms. The remainder of my trips have been at full cost. All opinions are my own.

This post contains affiliate links. A purchase through one of these links may result in a commission paid to us at no additional cost to you.

How Much Is A Disney Cruise? Is It Worth the Cost?

Factors that affect the price of a disney cruise.

When looking at the price of a Disney cruise, many factors affect the price. The time of year of the cruise can often influence the price. Like other travel products like airfare and hotels, demand significantly influences the price.

With a limited supply of staterooms and only four ships (with more on the way), the price is impacted by the current demand for staterooms.

You’ll often find that Disney Cruises that take place during peak times of year (like school vacations) will be more expensive than other weeks. You’ll want to book those early to get the most stateroom options and the best Disney Cruise prices.

If you are thinking of doing a Caribbean cruise, January can be a great option and is often the cheapest month. Typically all four ships (the Disney Magic , Disney Fantasy , Disney Dream , and Disney Wonder ) are sailing in the Caribbean, so there are lots of sailings to choose from, with many Caribbean itineraries.

In addition, because the Caribbean can sometimes be chilly in January, it’s not as busy.  I’ve been on several January cruises, and while sometimes the weather has been a little cool, we’ve also been very lucky with perfect weather.

Of course, most schools are in session for most of January, so it can be more difficult to sail than if your kids are in school. Martin Luther King weekend typically is more expensive than the rest of the month.

As you’d expect, the duration of the cruise also affects the prices. A longer cruise is more expensive than a shorter cruise. I usually recommend that travelers start with a 3 or 4-day cruise to see if it’s something they enjoy before committing to a longer cruise.

Some families like to do a Disney Land and Sea vacation where they combine their cruise with some time at Walt Disney World. That can be a great way to take your first cruise and make sure it’s something your family enjoys.

Unlike hotels, where you’ll pay per room, on the Disney Cruise Line, the cost increases per person in a stateroom. This is because the cost of a Disney cruise includes all of your meals in the regular dining rooms as well as activities.

Of course, the incremental amount of an additional person in the room is lower. When I travel with my friends on the Disney Cruise Line, we like to have two to three people in the room. We don’t usually spend too much time in the room, and it never feels crowded, even though it is a small room.

The type of stateroom you book is also a factor in the cost. We typically book a deluxe family stateroom with a verandah, although you can save money by getting a room without the verandah. Interior rooms are less expensive.

Think about how much time you plan to spend in the room, and whether or not you’ll use the verandah. I love sitting outside sipping coffee in the morning, and I find the verandah is worth the extra cost. But that may not be the case for everyone.

Special cruises, like the Very Merrytime Cruises and the Marvel Day at Sea, may also cost a bit more than a standard cruise. Often discounts (like the discount for booking onboard) aren’t available on these cruises.

Getting a Disney Cruise Line Discount

The best way for a return guest to get a discount on the Disney Cruise Line is to book while you are already on a sailing. You’ll have two options.

You can book the dates that you want to sail and can choose your exact dates and room. For this, you’ll need to make a deposit.

Alternatively, you can book a placeholder for a $250 fee. This can be applied to a cruise booked within the next two years. I typically book a placeholder, even if I don’t have another cruise planned because it’s valid for a while.

Depending on the sailing, you’ll get a discount as well as stateroom credit. To make an onboard booking, you’ll want to visit the desk on the ship as soon as possible. It can be very busy by the end of your sailing and there is typically a line to talk to a cast member.

Other discounts can sometimes be available for Canadian residents, Florida residents, and members of the military. The Disney Cruise Line special offers page has more specific information on this. They aren’t always available so you’ll have to check for details and eligible sailings.

What’s Included in a Disney Cruise?

When assessing the cost of a Disney cruise, you’ll also want to know what’s included and what isn’t included in the price of the cruise. It’s important to calculate the total cost that you’ll expect to spend.

Things included in your Disney Cruise cost include Disney character interactions, shows on the Disney cruise ships, the kids’ clubs, meals in the main dining rooms, unlimited ice cream, many snacks, most room service, soda, standard coffee, and iced tea.

While many cruise lines do include these items (soda is typically not included with most cruise brands, however), it’s important to look at how your family will use these inclusions.

My kids love the kids’ clubs and the shows, so we usually do that daily. It’s completely worth it for us. On the other hand, we don’t drink soda, so we don’t care if it’s included.

What’s Not Included in a Disney Cruise

As you do your price comparisons and start to budget for your trip, you’ll also need to know what’s not included in a Disney Cruise.

Once you arrive at the airport, you’ll need to get to the port. Depending on the port you are leaving from (for instance, Port Canaveral ), Disney transportation may be offered. However, this is an extra cost and isn’t included in your cruise.

If you are leaving from Port Canaveral, Florida, you may want to start (or end with) a Walt Disney World vacation as part of a Disney land and sea adventure. In that case, transportation is offered from the parks to the port, but again, that is an extra fee that you’ll need to include in your budget.

Where available, I find it convenient to take Disney transportation because they will tell you exactly where you need to go. It’s worth the extra peace of mind for me to pay for it rather than worry about transportation on my own. But, rental cars, ride-sharing, and private transportation are also an option. Compare rental car prices here .

Shore excursions are another cost that is separate from the standard cruise cost. These are something that you’ll want to research before committing to your cruise because they can be expensive.

This is especially the case in Europe and Alaska, where you may pay around $700+ per person for a single excursion. That can add up, especially for longer cruises when you’ll want to take multiple excursions!

Sometimes you’ll find that excursions booked outside the cruise line might be a little less expensive. Just keep in mind that there is a risk associated with this. These excursions and companies may not be vetted by the cruise line.

You will also be responsible for making sure you get back on board with plenty of time. If for some reason, the cruise doesn’t dock at a specific port, you probably won’t get a refund. This can sometimes happen because of weather or other unpredictable reasons.

Alcohol is not included on the Disney Cruise Line. You can purchase beer and wine packages that do help bring the cost down. If you typically get a couple of drinks per day, it’s a good idea to keep looking at your bill on the Disney Cruise Line app so you aren’t surprised on the last day.

Some snacks (like popcorn at the theater), premium desserts (at Vanellope’s on the Disney Dream and the Sweet on You Ice Cream shop on the Disney Fantasy), premium coffee (at the Cove cafe), and meals at the adult-only  Palo and Remy also cost extra.

Gratuities are also not included in the cost of a Disney cruise. You can usually prepay the gratuities, or they’ll be automatically added to your bill. You can, however, change these by going to guest services.

You’ll also want to tip anytime you pay for something out of pocket and for room service. You can just write these tips on the slip you sign and add them to your bill. They’ll be added to your stateroom account.

Other things cost additional on a cruise, including WiFi and Bingo.

What Does a Disney Cruise Cost?

These prices are accurate from the date we wrote this post and are always subject to change. As mentioned above, many factors affect these prices.

You’ll pay anywhere from about $1,500 to $8,000 for a three-night cruise on the Disney Wish for a stateroom with 4 people. This cruise goes to Nassau and Disney’s Castaway Cay . This is a great option as a first cruise because it’s less expensive than the others and is a short commitment.

You can book a four-night Bahamian cruise out of the Fort Lauderdale cruise port for about $1,900 to $6,700 for four people. This excludes Christmas week when the price is significantly higher.

Alaskan Cruises are about $6,700 to $20,000 for a seven-night cruise. Concierge rooms are higher, however. Although it’s a lot more expensive for a verandah, you’ll probably use it quite a bit in Alaska so it may be worth the splurge. Keep in mind that the excursions and airfare may add quite a bit to this price.

European cruises can vary quite a bit. You can get a 5-night European cruise out of Barcelona starting at about $7,700 , but rates can go up to over $16,000 for a verandah room on a 12-Night Norwegian Fjords and Iceland Cruise. Don’t forget to factor in airfare and shore excursions, which can increase the price of your vacation.
