I am travelling alone after my husband's passing to visit his family in new Zealand. Sophie was so helpful and understanding. She looked at all the options available to me I wasn't under any pressure to make a decision, she tried her utmost to get the best flight available for me. On entering the shop we were greeted by…

On entering the shop we were greeted by friendly smiles. All assistants were busy but a member of staff took our detsils. Within minutes we were being attended to. Cara went through all sources of information including discounts. We booked a holiday. The only glitch, when we came to pay the computers went down This was soon sorted. Many thanks.

Efficient, very helpful staff. From the moment we entered the store we were treated with respect and the staff listened carefully to our requests and found a suitable holiday which catered for all our needs.

Very efficient

I called in this November to book a package holiday for next May. I did know exactly what I wanted but Cara was very efficient and when I left thirty minutes later I had everything booked from upgraded room, car parking and fast track. I have just returned from another holiday booked through the same agents which involved various connections and overnight stays prior to flights and that also went very well.

Welcome to Hays Travel Stanley!

I'm Nicola - Branch Manager. I started working for Hays Travel in 2014 as Assistant Manager in our Gateshead branch. Since then, I have been promoted to Manager at our Consett and Birtley branches, before moving to Stanley in September 2017. Florida is my favourite destination; I have visited five times and I still love it!

Laura started working with Hays Travel 16 years ago as an apprentice and has worked previously in the Durham branch and has now worked her way up to assistant manager. 

Lyndsey started working with Hays Travel as an apprentice 10 years ago. Her hard work and experience has seen her progress to her current position as Senior Travel Consultant. Her favourite holiday destination is Turkey. 

Rachel has worked with us for an impressive 31 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience on destinations worldwide.

Kelly has been a part of the team for  23 years and her favourite holiday destinations are the Balearic Islands and Greece.

Julie is our Foreign Exchange Consultant and has worked for the company for over 30 years and can help you with all your holiday money needs. 

Caryce is our second year apprentice and has settled in well with the team really well. Her favourite holiday destination is Australia.

Jazmin is our new first year apprentice and has made a great addition to the team.  Mexico is Jazmin's favourite destination.

We all love holidays and are all experts when it comes to travel. Between us we have over 130 years experience, so look no further than us for your holiday search. "As part of our local community partnership we have held 2 bonkers bingo charity nights in aid of Henry Dancer Days.

A grand total of £1500 was raised on the first night back in March 2019 which was kindly match funded by the Hays travel foundation. 

Our second bingo night in September 2019 raised over £1100, which we are hoping will be matched by the foundation also. So fingers crossed!

The prizes raffled off on the night were kindly donated from local businesses, tour operators and Hays Travel Stanley.

With all members of the branch getting behind the sale of the tickets and participating in games and activities on the night we believe that team work is the key to our fundraising success."
