What is it, the world’s first system that grooves the tour striker position into your swing…, (the same pre-impact position as rory, faldo, and all the other greats)… , and gives you no choice but to shallow the club and flush the ball….

tour striker 7 day protocol

STEP 1: Training

Do the simple drills to engrain the tour strike technique into your swing… setting you up for easy, flush contact.

tour striker 7 day protocol

STEP 2: Proactive Feedback

Use the tour strike educator swing trainer to get instant proactive feedback… so you know you’re doing the drills right and grooving only great habits into your swing, this is the first swing trainer that gives you proactive feedback (feedback before you make a mistake)…, gets you shallowing the golf club…, and engrains the tour striker position into your swing…, for perfect contact. , get the system today and we’ll ship you one for free anywhere in the us, step 3: unlimited swing reviews.

tour striker 7 day protocol

Simply record your swing and upload it in your member’s area… and your coach will provide a custom practice plan and drills to get you FASTER, GUARANTEED results

What does it do, it forces you to shallow the club….

tour striker 7 day protocol

And groove the Tour Impact Position into your swing (the same pre- impact position as Rory, Faldo, and all the other greats…)

tour striker 7 day protocol

So you don’t do this…

#1: leave the clubface wide open pre-impact.

tour striker 7 day protocol

When you have an open clubface pre-impact, you have to respond to try and fix it.

That leads to:

  • Flipping the wrists…
  • Stepping up…
  • Backing out…
  • Other bad stuff.

ALL to buy time for the chaos created by not getting shallow… And having an open clubface pre-impact.

#2: Come Over-The-Top

tour striker 7 day protocol

Coming over-the-top is robbing you of accuracy, distance, and consistency.

This system demystifies the elusive slot…

And rewires your swing so by default you’re getting shallow, dropping the club into the slot, and swinging from the inside.

#3: Lose Clubface Control From Setup To Impact (Casting the club)

tour striker 7 day protocol

Getting shallow sets you up to hold off your release… which means you’re delivering the FULL POWER of your swing into the back of the ball.

So there’s no more casting… early extension… or other swing issues that cause you to lose distance… AND mis-hit the ball.

#4: Miss The Center Of The Clubface

tour striker 7 day protocol

If you’re not getting shallow… and then grooving the Tour Striker Position into your swing… that means your clubface is wide open milliseconds before impact.

And the chances of you perfectly timing WHEN you close the clubface…

And have perfect control of HOW MUCH you close the clubface…

Is highly unlikely (even Tour Pros can’t make the EXACT same swing twice in a row)

Why is that important?

To make consistent solid contact and flush straight shots ….

You need to “get shallow”… and groove the Tour Striker Position pre-impact!

Fixing This Is The Key To FLUSH Contact And Consistency

tour striker 7 day protocol

You can learn to swing on the most anti-slice inside-out path…

tour striker 7 day protocol

Or use every trick in the book to build Ben Hogan-like lag into your swing…

But if you don’t get shallow… and then come into the ball pre-impact in the Tour Striker Position…

You’ll never make consistently flush contact.

Are you starting to see why “getting shallow” and grooving the Tour Striker Position is…

The ONLY Thing You Should Be Focusing On If You Want To Make Compressed Contact…

tour striker 7 day protocol

  • Getting shallow as your club changes direction…
  • Finding the Tour Striker Position just before impact…

This System Is Designed To Get You “Shallow” AND Fix Your Pre-Impact Position – For You

How does it work, first: do 2 simple drills to master the tour strike technique, #1: “under-over drill”.

  • Gets you shallowing the clubhead’s weight from vertical to behind you…
  • Sets up the perfect path for a powerful, consistent delivery…
  • Removes your hands from the golf swing and puts your bigger muscles in control…
  • Without messing with your spine angle or giving you dozens of swing thoughts to worry about.

#2: “Tour Impact Position” Drill

  • Grooves the same pre-impact position into your swing… As Rory, Faldo, and every other great player in the world…
  • Attack the ball from the perfect angle…
  • Deliver ALL your power into the ball by using your bigger muscles to deliver the clubhead into the ball (instead of your hands)…
  • All without having to “react” or “overcompensate” for an open clubface pre-impact.

Second: Use The Tour Strike Educator Swing Trainer To Get PROACTIVE Feedback On Your Club Angle AND Pre-Impact Position

tour striker 7 day protocol

It gives you NO CHOICE but to do the drills correctly

Just follow the protocols to adjust The Educator for the Under-Over Drill…

And then the Tour Impact Position drill…

And it gives you instant, real-time PROACTIVE feedback.

This way you know you’re doing the drills perfectly…

And ONLY ingraining good habits.

Fully Adjustable

Works on every club.

tour striker 7 day protocol

Third: Get Personalized Feedback and UNLIMITED Swing Reviews from your VIP Coach

tour striker 7 day protocol

Can’t I just do it on my own?

Technically… you can.

But it’s a lot easier to “cut and paste” Martin Chuck’s Tour Strike Technique into YOUR practice routine…

Get instant, immediate PROACTIVE feedback from The Tour Strike Educator swing trainer…

(Feedback that happens BEFORE mistakes instead of feedback that happens AFTER you make a mistake…)

And THEN get unlimited swing reviews from a coach who gets to learn YOUR swing and YOUR goals…

So you know for SURE you’re doing everything right.

THAT’S how you hop off the hamster wheel of online instruction and in-person lessons…

And start making the flush, accurate contact you’re looking for.

99 out of 100 Amateurs Don’t Have The Time (Or Patience) To Do This On Their Own

Because that requires expensive lessons…

MORE TIME on the range –you DON’T HAVE – to get results…

Plus a LOT of patience.

And it makes it nearly impossible to enjoy the game.

And look, I get it…

tour striker 7 day protocol

Hi, I’m Martin Chuck, Golf Digest Top 10 Coach And Former Coach To Major Winners Mike Weir And Darren Clarke

tour striker 7 day protocol

I’m known as “the people’s coach” because I’ve given over 50,000 in-person lessons to struggling amateurs…

Hosted over 1,000 golf academies…

And helped over 121,000 golfers with my online training programs and swing trainers.

So I know how frustrating it is for most golfers who WANT to get better…

But don’t know exactly what or how to practice.

How can I be sure it will work for me?

Because amateurs just like you are…

Already Using The Tour Strike System To Eliminate Mis-Hits And Make Flush, Solid Contact

Watch what happens when he gets shallow and grooves the tour impact position into his swing with the educator….

tour striker 7 day protocol

He started flushing it…

Shot… after shot… after shot…

It Really Is That Simple…

Practice The Tour Strike Technique…

Take a few swings getting PROACTIVE feedback with the swing trainer to guarantee you’re doing everything right…

Reach out to your coach to supercharge your results…

And start hitting pure golf shots.

Just like this student:

He went from hitting coming over the top and leaving his face wide open pre-impact…

Resulting in a nasty slice and weak, frustrating shots to the right…

To getting shallow and grooving the Tour Impact Position pre-impact…

And hitting almost perfectly straight shots.

I don’t think he even realizes how much his contact and accuracy just improved…

And the best part is…

The Tour Strike System Will Do The Same For YOU.

No guesswork, no wondering what to do next… just instant results., does it come with anything else when i get it here , yes check out these limited-time bonuses:, swiss army swing trainer program.

Simple Strike Sequence Training PRO EDITION

tour striker 7 day protocol

This has been one of my best-selling programs for over two years…

Because for the first time outside of my in-person academies…

I share why you need to STOP trying to hit the ball.

And then I show you how to hit the Perfect Strike Point with your irons…

And when you grab the Tour Strike System today…

I’m including my fully unlocked version of the Simple Strike Sequence training…

Automatic Accuracy Training PRO EDITION

tour striker 7 day protocol

Tiger Woods famously said: “The hardest shot to hit is a straight shot.”

So in this training…

You’ll see why you should NOT aim for the target…

Or try to “hit it straight.”

And then… I’ll show you how to find your swing’s natural “accuracy window”…

That gives you the margin for error to make YOUR NORMAL SWING…

And still produce a predictable ball flight that adds 15 to 35 yards to your drives.

What if I don’t like it?

You’re covered by…

tour striker 7 day protocol

And if you’re not thrilled with your contact and accuracy…

Then just send the swing trainer back, and we’ll give you 100% of your money back.

This system either gets you shallow and FLUSHING the ball…

Or you get your money back.

Think about that…

And if you’re not completely happy with the way it has you flushing every shot…

With automatic accuracy…

All you have to do is send an email to [email protected]

And our trained customer support staff will send you instructions on how to return it…

So we can credit you a payment for 100% of the amount you paid.

That said, we only expect amazing things to happen.

Inside this “fully unlocked” version of Martin’s best-selling training…

tour striker 7 day protocol

Inside this training… You’ll see why you should NOT aim for the target…

Plus you get more POV lessons so you’ll SEE how to implement this into your swing right away.

FULL PRICE: $790

tour striker 7 day protocol

The drills inside the Tour Strike Technique drill take less than 5 minutes and ten shots to groove a shallow path and get you coming into the ball with the Tour Striker Position.

And by following the protocols included with The Tour Strike Educator Swing Trainer… you get immediate proactive feedback that dials in your path and pre-impact position… and gets you FLUSHING the ball.

The Tour Strike Technique gets you shallowing the club.

A shallow club sets you up for the Tour Striker Position… the same pre-impact position as Rory, Faldo, and every other great golfer…

The Swing Trainer gives you proactive feedback so you have no choice but to groove great habits…

And your coach is there to make sure you have the accountability and resources you need to get results FAST.

That means you’ll deliver a square-to-path clubface back to the ball…

Make ball-first contact…

And flush shot after shot on command.

You could… But it would take you a lot longer.

Because without Martin’s expert guidance you’d have to hit thousands of balls to get shallow and dial in your pre-impact position.

AND without the Swing Trainer you’d have no way to get proactive feedback and ensure you’re doing everything correctly.

Without a coach there to guide you and keep you motivated… it’s REALLY easy to practice the wrong things and get discouraged by a lack of results…

That means you could waste days, weeks, or months on the range…

With no guarantees you’ll make any progress.

That makes it nearly impossible to enjoy the game.

But with this Tour Strike System… you’re up and running and FLUSHING the ball… in minutes.

Well, first of all, if that happens you’ll be an outlier…

Because the Tour Strike System is already working for amateur players like you. Still, in the extremely unlikely event it doesn’t work for you…

You’re covered by Performance Golf’s 30-Day, 100% Money Back Guarantee…

Which includes a no-questions-asked, unconditional refund policy.

If you’re not completely thrilled with the way The Tour Strike System gets you striping the ball…

So we can issue you a 100% refund.

Shipping is free for US customers and calculated automatically at checkout for customers outside the US.

It’s typically shipped out within 48 hours of order placement and then takes another 2 to 5 business days — depending on where you live.

But if you want to get your Swing Trainer sooner… you can choose priority shipping on the next page and we’ll rush it out to you even faster.

Yes, it works equally well for players of all levels.

As I’ve said, the fastest way to make flush contact is to get shallow and groove the correct pre-impact position.

And EVERY player will benefit from making these swing upgrades.

When you order TODAY — you get the Tour Strike Technique Training, The Tour Strike Educator Swing Trainer, plus the limited-time bonuses:

Swiss Army Swing Trainer, worth $97…

Simple Strike Sequence PRO EDITION, worth $197…

Automatic Accuracy PRO EDITION, worth $197.

That’s over $491 in bonus training I’m handing you absolutely FREE when you invest in the Tour Strike System today.

Your investment is protected by Performance Golf’s 30-day “Flush It Or It’s Free” Money Back Guarantee.

It doesn’t get much better than that.

I preordered my TS Planemate last December and finally got it this week. I’ve been going through the daily protocols and really think this has the potential to help a lot of golfers. I wanted to start a thread to discuss for those who have one and for those who may be on the fence!

Looking forward to your thoughts. Mine arrived earlier today. I got the email from them with the 7 day protocol last night. I agree the potential is there for this to be very helpful especially for those who don’t want to spend the money and/or time taking lessons and practicing the drills, etc from the lessons.

Watching the videos this should help the issue I have of hips stalling and using my athletic abilities to hit the ball somewhat good when timing is on and not have to worry if I’m bringing a good swing that day or not

CarlH

Most of Tour Striker training aids are pretty good.  Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this as you progress with it.

I've used a lot of training aids and I've got to say, this is easily the best one I've tried in terms of the ingraining certain swing feelings. For me, getting on plane and not muscling the ball have been my biggest challenges and I've been working on both the last two years with minimal success. So far I've worked through the daily protocols so the next step is to take the Planemate shot to the range so I'm excited to see how it all translates. Kitchen swings are one thing, but range/course swings are an entirely different story! I'm going to keep using it to ingrain those feels and I'm thinking it's going to make a difference long term!

Very interested in this product, and will be following this thread to hear everyone's feedback. I am generally a bit skeptical of most training aids, but this looks like it has the potential to be something special. I'll also add that my Tour Striker 7 iron is the real deal.

Nice, glad it's helping! I get some Revolution Golf emails and saw Martin and his partner introduce and explain this; I was curious at first as it looked like something I could jury-rig in the garage quickly .. but definitely interested to follow your progress with it.

Are you satisfied that it's giving you adequate feedback that you are able to use it effectively, eg. without the guidance/ corrections of a teaching pro..?

I was expecting a cost of around $100.  $162 is steep!

I heard great things about this especially to help shallow your swing and forces you to get steep at the top.  I’m getting one for sure. I spent some time on a robot recently and it really helped but the robot is 90 miles away.

Pretty sure he's talking about one of that swing simulators you can get one that simulates pro swing patterns. I know they had one at Pebble Beach when I lived in Monterey, but I never got a chance to check it out.

I haven’t been on one but there is one in my town. Watched it in use and it’s pretty amazing. Seems like it would take numerous sessions to get anything engrained though.

Right Handed.

This device has been a game changer for me. I’ve had difficulty feeling the proper shallow then the rotation necessary to avoid getting handsey and relying on timing. Teaches how to keep hips moving around and not stalling.

After watching the TXG video,  I would say the bungee cord helps with the rotation part,  but not the club shallowing/movement aspect.

For the most part. The cord is used to provide “tension” to keep hands and arms in the correct positions and to aid in rotation and then to lose “tension” to help shallow the shaft and put the hands and wrists in the correct positions in transition, prior to impact and at the follow thru

This is a very interesting tool. Serious question and not a dig on the product... Doesn’t that follow through promote a fade? It seems that you can’t get a full release with it. It looks like it would be amazing for improving the short game. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

No. A fade or draw can be hit with and inside out swing.

I got mine the other day, just inside practice so far with the pitching cord. I'm going to try and hit the range with it in the next few days if my pride can take it. I've been striking it horrible for almost 2 months now. I can barely fly my 7i 90 yards. Learning left handed has been really tough but if this thing helps me you know it's legit. I haven't hit a solid shot in 6 weeks at least.

PlaneMate Review : The Best Training Aid in Golf?

Tour striker planemate.

  • Functionality
  • Easy to use
  • Great supporting instructional videos

Tour Striker’s latest tool is making a lot of noise on the circuit and rightfully so.

You’re probably here reading this having shown general interested in a new product that’s sweeping social media. If you’re a golf fanatic and on Instagram you’ve likely seen some videos of the PlaneMate in action and like us, wondering what all the fuss is about.

What exactly is the Planemate?

The clue is actually in the name, Tourstikers latest gizmo is a new take on aiding both beginners, amateurs and even pro’s to help their takeaway, swing plane and following through and is even famously being used by tour players such as Rory Mcilroy and Collin Morikawa who is arguably one of the best iron players on tour right now.

tour striker 7 day protocol

One of the reasons we’re big fans of the PlaneMate is its simplicity in design, you can always see the thought process behind the minds of the designers at Tourstriker as they look to reverse engineer a problem with a solution that works for everyone.

In short, the best way to describe the PlaneMate is a Weightlifting belt mixed with Resistance bands.

The device comes with 3 bands and each band is a different length to train you in different ways with the shortest band being the most common and most used.

Each band has a clip on one end which can be used to attach itself to the wearer via a support bar on the belt and on the other end is a clip carabiner style clip which is used to attach itself to the club you’re using. That’s it, very simple.

The good thing about the Planemate’s design is that it can be used for both right-handed and left-handed golfers and is also designed to work through all lengths of your clubs from wedges all of the way through to your driver.

How it works

The PlaneMate is essentially modelled around give the user both visual and feedback cues throughout the whole swing and then using that feedback to repeat the actions thus encouraging a better and more consistent swing.

The first thing to do is to choose which band you’ll be starting out with and Tourstriker recommend going with a short band accompanied by a wedge to start practising and getting a feel for the product.

You then need to attach the belt to your midsection having the bar on right-hand side (left if you’re left-handed). This will enable the band to work with your bodies rotation.

After you’ve set up the right band it’s time to attach it to the club. The short band should be set just underneath the grip allowing for a slight extension when the clubface is set behind the ball but not too much so that the band feels super tight. Just enough to get you that feedback as this is key for the first part of the drill.

The clip should then be set perpendicular to the clubface, if you’re clubface is 12 o clock at address then the clip should be set at three. This part is very important for when you’re practising “shallowing”.

Now that you’re all set you’re good to go.

The 3 main parts when starting is to feel the band stretch slightly and feel connected on the takeaway followed by the band loosening on the way down to encourage shallowing the club and then finally putting that all together with a clean rotation and finish.

The key is to repeat these steps feeling for the right types of feedback and visual clues with the band and eradicating common mistakes like coming out wide or inside on the takeaway or coming down over the top on the downswing.

The goal of the Planemate is to teach the user a very consistent swing plane and hopefully engrain that into the player’s muscle memory.

The product itself is just half of it

Along with the PlaneMate itself you also get access to all of Tourstriker’s training video free of charge which is called the “PlaneMate Protocol” as is an absolute necessity in order for you to get the most of our product.

The Protocol consists of 2 levels with the main one being the 7-day protocol. Each day gets you progressing even further to get you on your way to developing a tour-level swing.

The main technique Tour Striker will be teaching is a technique called “Resist, Relax, Rotate” which is the tried and tested method to get your swinging consistently and swallowing your club in the best way possible by getting listening to the correct feedback points and timing.

By day 7 you should see vast improvements in your swing and then you can move to the advanced protocol where you can start using longer bands and tweaking more at granular levels.

tour striker planemate review

Having gone through the 7-protocol we can safely say this is indeed one of the best training aids we’ve used. Whilst it may look simple on the surface (not a bad thing at all) it’s design and functionality really manages to solve a common problem in everyone’s golf game.

Whether you need to work on your day away, your follow-through or you’re a beginner and you need your whole entire swing fixed this product really does manage to do it.

For most people lessons can be really expensive and time-consuming and the PlaneMate allows you to really work on your swing in the comfort of your own home and the fact that Tour Striker give you the training series at no additional cost is an absolute winner in our eyes.

The one thing we’d say when using the PlaneMate is to really ensure you’ve got it secured on really tight. We found it slipping off and rotating around the body quite often when practising our follow-throughs.

Price-wise we’d say its quite steep at £172.99 for what is essentially a belt and three bands but if you do factor in the lessons you get to keep and use for free with no subscription then it makes this product totally worth it and when you see those shots fall of your scorecard you’ll be telling yourself its the best money you’ve ever spent.

Tour Striker PlaneMate

Tour Striker PlaneMate

The Tour Striker PlaneMate is the first product of its kind that provides the feeling of a professional takeaway and transition. By adopting the sense of resisting the tension band early in the backswing you’ll train your body to take the club back properly. Then, by relaxing your arms and wrists when the tension starts to build, the club will shallow onto a powerful plane inspiring a body rotation for an inside out strike. With the PlaneMate, simply Resist, Relax, and Rotate your way to the most satisfying ball striking of your life.

Tour Striker PlaneMate Puts Pro Move In Easy Reach

planemate woods-chuck

Two guys with serious cred in the golf training aid biz, Tour Striker Founder Martin Chuck and Driven Golf honcho David Woods, have really outdone themselves with the PlaneMate, which ingeniously and simply gives every golfer instant feedback on what a world-class golf swing feels like.

How? By assuring that the backswing goes up and back, not back and up, as in so many amateur moves; that the downswing relaxes and “flattens out” after transition, setting the golfer up for a repeatable, slightly in-to-out path through the ball; and that in the through-swing the hands keep moving around and up thanks to a proper pivot toward the target.

Ever the golf gadget tinkerer, Chuck — a PGA pro with three decades of teaching experience — based his initial design on a still-popular device called the Swing Jacket, but credits none other than a major champion named Darren Clarke for spurring him to take his prototype to the next level.

“Four years ago, I was using rubber tubing tied to a golf club to make students feel different things — resistor force or whatever — for a video I did for Revolution Golf,” Chuck told me recently. “I took the rubber tubing and tied it off on the center mass of the golf club, six to eight inches from the clubhead, and put the other end between my belt and pants. It gives enough resistance so you can feel it in your backswing — it keeps you from going across the line and forces you to lay it off a little, shows you how to rotate your right arm properly.

“Some people thought it was cool, some thought it was hokey. The Darren Clarke reached out, out of the blue. I had never met the man. Apparently he watches Revolution Golf videos, which shocked me. He instant messaged me through Twitter, said he saw the video. He said it was awesome — that he gets across the line, and it helped them. He’s a great guy, and we’ve been friends ever since.”

That’s when the Swing Jacket, and David Woods, came into play. Now the director of golf at Vintage Club in Palm Desert, he also saw Chuck’s video. “He said, ‘It’s cool — but in the through-swing, being connected to your belt doesn’t allow you to move around. What if we created a way for it to move around a bit?’

“I was in my office with all my prototypes that I mess with. I happened to look over at the Jim Hardy Swing Jacket, and oddly it had rails that hooked up to the arm sleeves. So I disassembled one of those rails, took it to a local shoemaker and had him put it on an old belt of mine, and figured out a way to rig up a keyring and start messing around with length and strength of tubing.

“I reached out to David, sent it to him and said, ‘Mess around with this and see what you think.’ His idea was the rail.”

So, how does it all work in the final product?

You just attach PlaneMate’s wide, adjustable, Velcro-equipped belt around the waist, attach the larger clip of one of three resistance bands to Woods’ slider mechanism (which allows the band to move from belt to about 45 degrees back), and attach the other end to a golf club — a wedge to start, then a mid-iron.

It’s an instant, unchanging connection from hands to club that might feel funny and restrictive at first, but once you check out Chuck and Woods’ excellent 7-Day Protocol Video Series , it all makes sense, and the magic starts happening via muscle memory. It’s all about maintain slight tension in the band throughout the swing, EXCEPT at that all-important transition from backswing to downswing.

All Chuck and Woods ask is that no one jumps ahead and takes the training step by careful step—first employing the shortest band for the wedge (Clarke even uses it for his driver, which has spurred a new, soon-to-come video), then moving to the longer band for longer clubs.

Bonus: It’s a surprising workout for hands, arms, lats and abs.

“The band work helps you get stretched out, gets the muscle aware to get the club up and behind you to create speed,” Chuck said. “You can resist what the PlaneMate is trying to do, or you can surrender to it. We call it ‘resist, resist, relax.’ It’s letting the hands be passive at that moment, let the club get behind you so your rotation inspires that inside-out motion, not physically trying to shove the club out to right field.”

Following the 7-day protocol, I tested PlaneMate over several days, and immediately found that it helped cure my pesky inside-jerk move at takeaway, even on the shortest pitches and chips. The feeling is, as Chuck said, strange at first, but by repeating each protocol motion a minimum of 30 times, the motion begins to take hold and golf balls take flight with much more impetus and authority — no breakdown of the arms or hands going back or at impact, to flipping ahead of the body in the through-swing. And more stability from address to follow-through.

Chuck explains the process in his semi-geeky way.

“Once you start to realize where the club goes, the body goes, ‘Oh, OK, if the club lays down shallow behind me in the downswing, my unwinding will be in an inclined circular relationship’ [with the club]. It can’t come over the top. You may miss left, because the club face is closed, but it’s not an over-the-top, a steep, stand-up/sit-in swing.

“Good players talk about ‘noodly’ arms, but it’s baloney. They’ve just become so proficient  that they can describe it that way. You look at Rory at set-up, and there’s some rippling in the arms. You look at good players at the top, and there’s nothing noodly about it. You need structure — it might feel mildly robotic at first.

“All we’re trying to do with the PlaneMate is put the correct structure in, let people train with it, so they can go from a highly conscious situation to an unconscious situation. You want to be able to look and fire, and have just one or two swing thoughts, not 50.

“It’s like playing a guitar or piano — you do the reps, and at some point the music just comes out of you, and you don’t know how. Or typing, or driving home. You don’t even know how you got there. Subconsciously, your brain knows what do to. Hopefully with this, in golf, you train yourself to be able to just wander off, talk to your buddies, but when you get over the golf ball, you kind of aim and fire and the results aren’t bad.”

That’s an understatement. The results are phenomenal. And game-changing.

Tour Striker Planemate Review: Feel your Way to a Better Swing

At the Left Rough, we love golf gadgets and training aids . We’re huge fans of reviewing top tools to help you improve your golf game. But not all are created equal and we don’t want you wasting your time and money on ones that don’t work.

Because let’s face it, golf is one of the most challenging sports out there. Despite all the technology in the world, the game still isn’t easy by any means.

And even if you’re not playing for millions of dollars on the PGA Tour, you inevitably want to get better. Of all the sports out there, I’m not sure any of them compare to golfers wanting to improve their game.

It’s why we spend hundreds of dollars banging away at range balls and endless hours on the putting green. But what if there was a training aid that could help lower your scores without endless hours at the range?

Sounds too good to be true?

I promise it isn’t… introducing the PlaneMate from Tour Striker. This training aid is a one of a kind device that can help you improve your ball striking with every club in the bag.

Lets breakdown in this review post what makes this tool so unique and popular among golfers worldwide.

PlaneMate Review – Everything You Need to Know

First off, what is the PlaneMate?

It’s a golf training aid designed by Martin Chuck, founder of Tour Striker Golf Academy in Phoenix, Arizona. If you know the name, you might have already used one of his other products before too – the “ Tour Striker Smart Ball .”

After the wildly successful release of that product, he recently released the PlaneMate. It’s designed to help you feel what an elite player feels on takeaway and during the most important part of the swing – the transition .

The result?

Tour Striker Plane Mate Review

The device will help you shallow the golf club more in your downswing to create a more fluid swing. This is arguably the most important factor to improve your ball striking. A swing that has a slight loop and comes from the inside is what separates good from great ball strikers.

Since most golfers (especially beginners), make a casting over the top motion , this will help correct it quickly. This device will help get the right backswing and downswing to get to the most powerful impact position. Which should lead to better ball striking and a straighter ball flight – and maybe even a draw !

One of the reasons I love this device is that it lets you feel a great takeaway and transition. And if you’re not using it right, you’ll get instant feedback and know which part of your swing needs improvement.

Here’s how it works…

How the PlaneMate Works

Shallowing the golf club happens in two places – the backswing and downswing . While most people think it happens on the downswing, without the right backswing, it’s nearly impossible to shallow the club on the way down.

This device is so great because it helps you create and feel the perfect takeaway. Then, once you nail the takeaway, you can learn the motion to relax your arms and wrists at the top so that you come from the inside on the downswing. Using their “Resist, Relax, and Rotate” method, your ball striking can improve quickly.

PlaneMate Training Protocol

The PlaneMate is pretty unique compared to most training aids in terms of looks and design. It comes with a belt, three resistance bands, and a club connector clip that attaches to the club.

Here’s how it works:

  • Position the belt around your waist and have the front center line aligned to the center of your body.
  • Then, clip a band (if you’re just starting out, use the short green band) to a wedge. You’ll want it a few inches below the grip so that you feel some resistance but not so much that the band could snap.
  • If you’re using a standard or pro band, you’ll want to go lower on the shaft since they are significantly longer. More on those bands later…
  • Then, follow the training protocol and drills to in grain your new backswing and transition.

This training aid also comes with a super helpful 7-day training video series to help you understand how to best use the device. This is very helpful for most golfers as you can watch on at home or at the driving range with your phone.

FAQs about the Tour Striker PlaneMate

Do you have more questions about the PlaneMate from Tour Striker? If so, we got answers…

Tour Striker PlaneMate Review

What is included in the package?

When you purchase, you get everything you need to take your device straight to the range. Each PlaneMate comes with a Tour Striker belt, three bands, and shaft clip.

The three bands included are:

  • Green Pitch Motion Band: The short green one isn’t intended for full swings but can work. It’s about helping you develop discipline and the feel of a proper takeaway and follow through.
  • Green Standard Band: Once you start to understand the proper feeling with shorter shots, then you can move to this band for longer clubs and shots.
  • Red Pro Band: Finally, the red band is for more skilled players and professional golfers who want the most resistance possible.

Make sure to watch the full 7-day practice plan before heading straight to full size bands.

While there are no instructions with the purchase, you can always check out their 7-day practice plan and corresponding videos on their website. The only downside is that you don’t get a carrying bag to take to the range (which it is kind of bulky).

Can you use this indoors or outdoors?

The great part about this device is that you can use it both indoors and outdoors.

To me, this is one of the biggest perks of any training aid that you can use at home or at the range. Because when winter golf hits and you can’t practice outside, it’s still nice to work on your game at home.

This device is incredibly practical for all golfers as you can train your game at home without a ball. Or, you can take it straight to the range and use it while you’re hitting pitches and full swing shots.

tour striker 7 day protocol

Does this work for pitching or just full swing?

The PlaneMate works great for both chipping/pitching and your full swing. In fact, the secret benefit is how much it can help with your short game.

Since most amateur golfers have an over the top move in their full swing, it also translates to short game as well. This steep, over the top move makes it really hard to score well around the greens thanks to inconsistent contact.

Once you start to use this device from 30 yards and in, you’ll probably see a huge difference in contact and proximity to the hole. This should lead to shorter putts and hopefully lower scores.

Not to mention, once you master it from short range, then you can keep using it for your long game too. I also love that you can use it with driver and fairway woods, not just irons as well.

Does this work for left handed golfers too?

Yes! The PlaneMate is reversible so you can use it as a left-handed golfer. This is a huge perk as so many helpful training aids are only made in right handed models.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, the PlaneMate does have a 30-day money back guarantee. If you aren’t 100% satisfied with your purchase, contact them for a refund.

Final Thoughts

As you can tell, this training aid packs a punch and is a great investment for your game. If you want to improve your ball striking without spending hundreds of dollars on lessons, I couldn’t recommend this product more.

It’s so effective because it helps shallow the golf club by learning the proper takeaway and downswing. Once you master the takeaway, it’s so much easier to shallow the club and hit it longer and straighter.

Another reason this device works so well is because it helps train your muscles and gives you instant feedback. Plus, you can use it indoors or outdoors so it’s a year round training device to master one of the most important pieces of the golf swing.

The videos, the 7-day protocol, even if you don't have one, have a lot of good information.

Yeah, but maybe a bit earlier. Use the link earlier in the topic, and let me know if you do.

The eBay market is drying up, if you don't love it, though. 🙂

I received mine today.  My son and I worked through the day 1 protocol.  I can see that this will help, but my son did better than I did hitting balls (plastic ones in the basement) than I did.  He hit almost every one crisply, whereas I mishit several. He said he noticed me doing some kind of weird double clutch takeaway that was probably affecting me. However when I took it off and hit with the ghost feels, I everything well.  Looking forward to the day 2 or maybe repeating day 1.

I think I got FOMO or something, I bought one (through the link here) because after watching all the videos, the official ones and on social media, it looks like this aid might help me with the pivot, Key #4 and the short game. Looking forward to trying it out in March.

Just don't let it encourage you to pull the handle low left.

After a couple weeks of playing with this in the basement with plastic balls and half swings I got to use it outside hitting real balls into a net.

Full swings with the planemate on a PW felt good and even better when I took it off and hit a 9I.

When I put the long green band on a 7I it was hard to make solid contact. That could be why they suggest using a tee which I was not doing.  However when I took it off and hit a 6I, it felt good.

The short band on the driver was also hard to use, but it felt ok without the band.

I feel like I am pivoting and finishing better. This is one of my bigger faults, so it is good to see it help with that. I need to be more deliberate with my practice with it.

Today was the first time that I have ever hit balls in February.

I think the short band is not for the driver, it's just for hip-high swings.

Just now, iacas said: I think the short band is not for the driver, it's just for hip-high swings.

They have a video showing the short band on the driver. Claims that Darren Clarke told them that he likes the short band on the driver.

Yeah, I think that can be good for little swings. I don't see myself ever using the short band on full driver swings.

Mine is getting delivered Friday. I reviewed the 7 day protocol videos and remarkably it is very similar to the drills my Evolvr instructor has be doing. I'm excited to get started with it and reinforce all the other work I am doing.

Mine came today. Of course, it’s 22F out with 20 mph winds! 😜

Undaunted, I set up a drop cloth in my basement and did the day 1 protocol hitting foam balls, and some real balls, into it. I had practiced the motions without the PlaneMate the last couple of days, so I would be ready. Doing this helped the learning curve.

I got notified it's coming today, was expecting delivery in mid March. Will try and do protocol 1 tonight.

I think you will like it. It works on the same thing you and I have been doing drills on this winter.

The box is so light, lol. I think that's a good thing.

In one of the YT videos where setup is shown, there are two D rings and there are two pieces to the band. Mine is just one piece and one D ring, so I guess they've modified it since.

Tour Striker 7-Iron Review

Introduction.

Unconventional, yet undeniably effective, the 2024 Tour Striker 7-iron isn’t your average training club. Boasting a unique design that forces you to groove proper ball striking mechanics, it’s garnered both intrigue and skepticism in the golfing world. But for those struggling with inconsistent contact, slicey shots, or a lack of “feel,” could this be the missing piece in your game? As a seasoned golfer and swing guru, I’ve put the Tour Striker 7-iron through its paces to see if it lives up to the hype. Buckle up, folks, because this isn’t your typical club review.

Table of Contents

First things first, understand that the Tour Striker is a training tool, not a replacement club. But I’m sure most know this. Its unconventional head, with a raised leading edge and minimized sweet spot, is designed to punish mishits with shanks, toe-knocks, and weak flyers. The goal? Ingrain the feel of delivering the clubhead to impact with the “hands ahead” position used by tour pros—a pivotal concept for consistent ball striking.

So, who benefits from the Tour Striker?

  • Inconsistency: Slices, shanks, and unpredictable ball flight often stem from improper impact. The Tour Striker’s immediate feedback loop helps rectify these issues.
  • Steep attack angles: This common flaw leads to thin shots and lack of power. The Tour Striker encourages a shallowing downswing, promoting clean contact and distance.
  • Flipping wrists at impact: Many golfers “flip” their hands at impact, causing the clubface to open and send shots off-line. The Tour Striker’s design forces proper hand sequencing, eliminating this tendency.
  • Unique head design: The raised leading edge and minimal sweet spot promote “hands ahead” impact and punish mishits.
  • Rounded sole: Encourages a shallow downswing and prevents digging.
  • Weighted head: Promotes a smooth, controlled swing tempo.
  • Available in right and left-handed models: Inclusive for all golfers.
  • Loft: 35.9 degrees (slightly stronger than a standard 7-iron)
  • Lie angle: 64 degrees (standard)
  • Length: 38 inches (standard)
  • Shaft: Steel or graphite options available
  • Grip: Standard size and texture

Pros & Cons

  • Immediate feedback: You’ll instantly feel and see the consequences of improper mechanics, accelerating learning.
  • Promotes “hands ahead” impact: The core principle of consistent ball striking, ingrained through muscle memory.
  • Corrects common swing flaws: Addresses slices, shanks, thin shots, and lack of power.
  • Versatile tool: Use it for warm-ups, drills, or full swings.
  • Durable construction: Built to withstand regular practice sessions.
  • Unconventional design: Not a “game-ready” club and may feel awkward initially.
  • Limited distance: Due to the strong loft, don’t expect tour-pro yardages.
  • Pricey: More expensive than most training aids.

Actual Player/User Testimonials

“My slice is gone! After a few weeks with the Tour Striker, I’m hitting the ball straight and long. It’s like a magic club.” – John H., 15 handicapper “I finally understand what ‘feel’ means. The Tour Striker helped me connect with the clubhead and strike the ball like never before.” – Sarah K., 10 handicapper “My confidence on the course has skyrocketed. I know I can hit the ball solid now, thanks to the Tour Striker.” – Mark S., 8 handicapper “I used to dread hitting long irons, but the Tour Striker has given me newfound confidence. The shallow swing it encourages has taken the fear out of my game and added yards to my 7-iron. Now, I actually look forward to pulling it out on the course!” – Lisa G., 12 handicapper “As a senior golfer, flexibility isn’t what it used to be. The Tour Striker’s weighted head helped me find a smoother, more controlled swing that doesn’t put strain on my back. My swing feels effortless, and my ball striking has become crisp and predictable. This club has been a revelation!” – Tom R., 18 handicapper

The 2024 Tour Striker 7-iron is an unconventional, yet remarkably effective training tool. It’s not for everyone, but for golfers struggling with inconsistent contact, it can be a game-changer. By forcing you to groove proper mechanics, it ingrains the “hands ahead” principle and corrects common swing flaws. While it may feel strange at first, the immediate feedback and lasting results make it a worthwhile investment. If you’re serious about improving your ball striking, the Tour Striker 7-iron deserves a swing in your practice routine.

A Golfer’s New Best Friend: Tour Striker PlaneMate Review

Being a teaching and former playing professional, I’ve seen nearly every training aid and, sadly, it’s become very rare to find that one training aid that can reach all levels of players, from beginner all the way though to a playing or tour professional.

With that said, I think that I finally found that training aid that checks off all the boxes!! Enter the Tour Striker PlaneMate!!!

View this post on Instagram                         A post shared by Martin Chuck (@tourstrikergolf) on Oct 7, 2019 at 10:44am PDT

Yep, that’s Rory using a PlaneMate

It’s come as no surprise that Tour Striker has made another gem when it comes to training aids. Indeed, Tour Striker has made some great stuff, like the Tour Striker Iron, Tour Striker Wedge and the Smart Ball, but the PlaneMate is, arguably, the best of the lot.

So, what actually is the PlaneMate?

tour striker 7 day protocol

1. The Plane Mate Belt – Reversible for Right and Left-Handed Golfers, the Plane Mate Belt simply velcros around your waist with the PlaneMate rail facing your trail side.

2. Three Adjustable Waist Bands – The PlaneMate comes with 3 interchangeable resistance bands to give you the right level of resistance for different swing training.

  • Standard Green Pitch-Motion Band — This is the “starter” band that help develop your takeaway and follow through with moderate resistance designed for less than full swings;
  • Standard Green Full Swing Band — The next level is the moderate resistance band that’s designed for full swings. The drills with the Green Full Swing Band will help build muscle and muscle memory faster to help develop a long, smooth backswing that shallows as it comes into impact; and
  • Pro Red Full Swing Band — This could be nicknamed the “Tour” Band. The Red provides intense resistance and is intended for avid and professional golfers who want to take their training to next level of resistance and development.

3. The Club Connector – A small piece that attaches to your driver, iron, or wedge shaft and connects the club to the resistance band and then to the PlaneMate rail.

4. Online Training – After registering your PlaneMate, you’ll be provided access to the Advanced PlaneMate Protocol and PlaneMate Protocol Series.

I’ve been able to work with the PlaneMate on several occasions to work on my chipping, pitching, and full swing and, simply put, it works . After attaching the appropriate resistance band to the club and PlaneMate rail, you’ll immediately notice the tension that helps gets your hand and entire body in the right position throughout the swing.

Here is a first hand review of Mike’s experience working with one of the inventors, Martin Chuck:

Can the Tour Striker PlaneMate Fix Mike? No Description

As recommended, I started off with the green Pitch-Motion Band. After hitting only 20 wedge shots, I was really impressed at how I could feel the resistance pulling on the club to keep it on plane. And if you try to go off plane, the PlaneMate will provide immediate feedback by, depending on where in the swing, either pulling you back or releasing all tension to indicate any improper movement.

When I switched to the green Full Swing Band, which I was able to use with my irons, hybrid, fairway wood and driver , it became immediately noticeably that you can NOT swing over the top. The green band will immediately pull you right back on plane. Additionally, if you go too far under plane, the band will dump all tension and let you know that you’re out of position.

Furthermore , regardless of which band you’re using the PlaneMate helps promote another source of swing consistency and power: rotation . Many amateurs often rotate too little, which robs their swing of impact proficiency and speed. But with the PlaneMate, golfers will be pulled when the band hits the end of the PlaneMate rail and forced to rotate throughout the entire swing.

The Tour Striker PlaneMate provides the feeling of a professional takeaway and transition. It accomplishes this by having the sense of resisting the tension band at the start of the backswing, which will train your body to take the club back properly even when the band isn’t attached .

Indeed, once you completed the drills and removed the band, you can still feel like the band is attached and guiding you through the swing. As a result, repeated use will help reinforce muscle memory, from the top of the backswing until follow through, and create that perfect inside-out swing path and shallow angle of attack through impact.

Being a PGA Golf Instructor, you get to see a wide range of players from all skill levels, and when you narrow it down to what causes most swing ailments it boils down to this one acronym that I want you to remember: P-G-A.

Fortunately, PGA won’t be hard to remember, but for you it now stands for POSTURE, GRIP and ALIGNMENT. Sadly, however, PGA represents the 3 most commonly flawed parts of amateur golf swings. With Tour Striker’s PlaneMate, you can focus on, arguably, the hardest change to make to PGA— Plane .
