Airport transportation

Took the airport transfer to Tel Aviv - excellent service- the driver was already at the meeting point- will definitely use again to go back to the airport

Shalom! Thank you for letting us know you had a 5-star Airport Transfer with us! We are looking forward to seeing you again ✈️

Our experience was amazing! Wadi Rum was an unexpected pleasure especially our stay at the Bedoin Camp. We upgraded to the Martian Tent- igloo and it was totally worth it. Karem, our guide was professional and knowledgeable. It was obvious he enjoyed sharing his culture. The drive was long from Jerusalem but the driver was very safe and careful. I highly recommend this journey.

Hi! We are thrilled to hear you had a trip of a lifetime with us, Your feedback will be shared with Karim and the rest of the team who made your tour an amazing experience, Thank you for sharing your experience with us and recommending our tours :)

A great tour. The food tasting exceeded my expectations and the guide was so good I stayed on for the Street Art tour

Hi there, We are happy to hear your expectations of the Tel Aviv Walking tour with us were exceeded, Thank you for letting us know :)

Overall a great experience to see wadi rum and petra. Great tour guide on Jordanian side. However the worst ever accomodation experience in sand rose desert camp. Terrible “deluxe” tent with incredible poor “bathroom”, room without windows and lots of mosquios, avoid if you can, but since tourist israel is not allowing to choose and they dont give a sh..t about your preference for camp selection that you write in reservation, well i must say its just gambling…(ptherrs in the same bus had a much better quality camp like rum magic ot hussain camp) also sand rose camp had no real entertainment, just some dinner and staff dancing with guests on age old western disco songs, nothing like genuine bedouin show or experience, even if you order a shisha, they close down lights in central area, kind of push to get the hell out of here, go and dig yourselves in the tent, we dont want to have you here style… all this at arround 9-10 in the evening. Also tourist israel promises on website several centralized pick up and drop off locations in Eilat. This is a not true! Only Club hotel is offerred with no flexibility. So if you are in Coral Reef area expect an additional taxi ride.

Dear Rita, We are pleased to hear you had a great experience overall in Jordan. We would love to be in touch to hear more details about your accommodation and share this matter with our operational partner in Jordan. We are shocked and sorry to hear that is the experience you had during your stay. Kindly note, camp assignations are subject to availability, and as shown on our website all our travelers from Eilat are picked up in one location in the city center to assure to be on time at the border, Thank you for sharing your experience with us, All the best!

While our trip was memorable, the actual itinerary did not live up to what was advertised. We had not time to explore Aqaba the first morning, only arrived in Wadi Rum mid-afternoon leaving no time for the "additional activities" prior to the jeep tour (which Was really fun!) and most importantly to us, only got to Petra the next day at around 11:30, leaving not enough time to explore as much of the amazing site as expected from the described itinerary. There seemed to be a significant amount of wasted time both days spent on needless stops to buy useless trinkets (or perhaps so our guide could have another cigarette break?). While quite personable, our guide also didn't exhibit a particularly deep knowledge of the site. Additionally, upon our arrival back at the border, there was no transportation available to take us back to our hotel in Eilat. Tourist Israel has been thoroughly dismissive of my issues. I would highly recommend a trip to Wadi Rum and Petra - JUST NOT THROUGH TOURIST ISRAEL!

Dear Abe, Thank you for sharing your experience with us, We are very glad to hear that your trip to Jordan was memorable. Kindly note as shown on our website the itinerary is approximate and might vary depending on the availability on the same day. We would love to be in touch with you to hear more details and look further into this matter. Have a nice day.

Nice trip to Masada, which were too short for some more exploration. Rain in Jerusalem area cause some unexpected flooding so we were not able to visit Ein Gedi. After an hour waiting there, we moved to Dead Sea and enjoy swimming or better say floating there.

Tourist Israel’s response to my review…

Tourist Israel’s response to my review further highlights their dishonesty. The hotels informed me they were closed and Tourist Israel were not conducting any tours yet they claim I am ‘outside the cancellation period’ for a holiday they cannot fulfil. There was no refund given, not even in part as they said they would. No refund has been put through their system as alleged. They have then disputed my claim made through my bank. Sadly it is simply lie after lie.

physically challenging outdoor invigorating experience w/ a friendly informative guide

1. may need to tell clients how rigorous climbing up could be to 40 & above aged people. even for me who steadily exercise kendo & ballroom dancing every other days, it was tough climbing up. 2. probably that's why cable care admission fee was recommended but on sept 18th, it was NOT operative. otherwise, very interesting informative stories shared by the guide, very easy going & friendly, trip will be remembered fondly

Date of experience : September 18, 2023

We're glad you enjoyed the physically invigorating experience with our friendly and informative guide. We appreciate your feedback about the climb's difficulty, and we apologize for the cable car's non-operational status. We hope you'll cherish the trip's interesting stories and join us again for more adventures.

Well organized, great guide, rich experience

Well organized. Everything flowed smoothly. Appreciated how our guide (Yael) took time to read the scripture passages connected with the places we visited (e.g. Jesus’ baptism, temptation, etc). Nice touch! Suggestion: have signboard or banner at hotel indicating where to gather. Can be tricky with so many tour groups meeting at same place.

Date of experience : June 10, 2023

Amazing Service!!

Joe was amazing and super nice! He gave us so many tips and tricks for our stay here in Israel as well as advice for other parts of our trip while we are visiting neighboring countries. He was very accommodating and communicated through WhatsApp which made it easy. He provided water bottles, wifi and phone chargers for our drive! Amazing service and we highly recommend.

Although a tour is never long enough, this was a wonderful taste of southern Jordan. Nazir was a fantastic guide and a wealth of knowledge. Accommodations and meals were stellar. PETRA: I wish I did some physical training for this but I made it to the Monestary!! Bring ample money (cash only) for support transportation...donkey, horse, camel or cart. Well worth it because the hiking and climbing in such heat is a real challenge. Of course bring money for food and beverages

Date of experience : September 17, 2023

We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your tour in Jordan with Nazir as your guide, and that you found the accommodations and meals exceptional. Your advice on physical preparation and bringing cash for transportation in Petra is much appreciated, and we look forward to hosting you again for more adventures!

Dishonest and u trustworthy company

We had two packages with tourist israel for over 4000 usd scheduled for oct 16 2023 then the conflict broke out and they cancelled our tours. We received no refunds since they said it was outside cancellation period. We have tried via phone, what’s up and email and they have only responded with a vague reply we are busy we will get back to you which they haven’t. Bottom line they are unprofessional, not transparent, and taking our money without providing us a service All they had to do is either with a click of a button credit our account or give us a voucher. Obviously this is a cutthroat operation more interested in earning a quick dishonest buck than building a business. What a poor business model. Caveat emptor!

Date of experience : October 16, 2023

Dear Kevin, We regret to learn of your dissatisfaction with our services, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. As previously communicated via email, we have processed (2 months ago) a refund amounting to 95% of your Jordan tour cost, accounting for a 5% credit card fee. The refunded amount should be shown already in your bank account. Concerning your package, which we received a notification on October 8th, we acknowledge the less than four weeks' notice period. Despite the constraints, we have offered alternative solutions (even early yesterday we sent you another email), presenting the option to redeem 60% of the purchase amount towards our tours in various global destinations or 85% for tours/packages to Israel. We understand the urgency of resolving matters for our valued clients. In light of the exceptional circumstances related to the ongoing conflict, our team has been diligently working to address inquiries promptly. Please be assured that we are committed to resolving your concerns and appreciate your understanding during this challenging period. Positive: - amazing structure of wadi rum camping and well organized tours - excellent petra tour - lunch in petra and dinner/breakfast in wadi rum were nice - Aman (our tour guide) has a lot of knowledge contributing to the experience, despite the difficult English Negative comments: - Itinerary in Acaqba needs to be better structured for us to enjoy - Disorganization with who does what, where and when - Buses too tight for travel time

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We're glad you enjoyed aspects like the Wadi Rum camping, Petra tour, and the meals provided. We appreciate your positive comments about Aman, too. We're taking note of your concerns regarding the Aqaba itinerary, organization, and transportation. Your insights help us improve. We appreciate your time in sharing your thoughts, and we're here for any future travel needs you may have.

Look No Further - Stay Here!

Truly, an excellent experience. Small, Boutique style hotel, recently renovated. Super high service levels made staying at the Drisco a very pleasing experience. The breakfast buffet is truly inspiring… I couldn’t eat enough! Very well appointed rooms and in an excellent location between downtown Tel Aviv and the old city of Jaffa. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! My only suggestion is that while I appreciate the fact they make bicycles available to guests, they need to maintain them better. Most of them had defective brakes and were in poor condition. If a hotel is going to give out bikes to guests, theybsure should be in as good a condition as your hotel is. Otherwise not one bad thing to say!!

The Great Final

Our wonderful 7days Christian Holy Land Tour finally concluded by the punctual pickup @ our hotel @ 2am IN THE MORNING on 5/20/23. The driver was excellent; he got us @ the airport on time. We really enjoyed whole tour with Tourist Israel and definitely recommend Tourist Israel for anybody's trip to Israel. We are coming back for different tour programs in near future, probably more bigger group. I have only good words/experiences with the whole team. Thank you everyone who assisted us while we were taking tour with you. TKC+HT/NY

A Great Tour Day with an AMAZING guide

This was one of our favorite days in Israel, and it was largely because of Allan Younger, our outstanding tour guide for the day!! He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, and creative in his historical story-telling. The day flew by! He was hands-down the best guide we had all week! Allan is fantastic. The highlight for us was walking from the Mount of Olives into Jerusalem on Jesus’ “Triumphal Entry” route. Allan also took us to a delicious lunch spot that we enjoyed so much, we visited it again the next day.

Date of experience : July 20, 2023

Thank you for your glowing review! We're thrilled to hear that Allan Younger contributed to making this one of your favorite days in Israel with his knowledge, kindness, and captivating storytelling. We're delighted that you enjoyed the Triumphal Entry route and the recommended lunch spot. Your kind words will be shared with Allan, and we look forward to serving you again in the future!

Great tour. Don't miss it

Our guide, Abnan, & the bus driver were exceptional. Abnan was very knowledgeable, personable & professional. We appreciated how we were treated & how he strived to keep all of us together & to communicate in at least 3 languages nduring our tour. The accomodations in Wadi Rum were lovely & the meals were delicious. My wife loved the camel ride. The jeep tour was great. We highly recommend this tour.

Great 10-day Israel…

The whole Tourist Israel 10-day Israel Christian tour package was great (May 19-28, 2023 [with 2 days airport transfers]). Tour Guides were kind and knowledgeable. Recommended hotels were nice and clean, although a little far from the tour pick-up points. Wishing there was more time spent at significant Christian sites for personal reflection.

Seamless & Awe-Inspiring

Tourist Israel made everything SO easy! Our tourguide Kareem was very knowledgeable, engaging, & fun! It was a very long day; however, that's due to the closest border entrance being in Eilat. If you're looking to go to Petra 100% recommend!

Date of experience : July 28, 2023

Thank you for your kind review, Samantha! We're delighted that you found everything easy with Tourist Israel. It's great to know that our tour guide Kareem made the trip enjoyable for you. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to having you join us again in the future!

Thorough walking tour of Jerusalem with…

Thorough walking tour of Jerusalem with a knowledgeable and extremely personable guide, we learnt a lot and nothing was too much trouble. Bit of confusion with buses on the way back but we ended up in a much less crowded bus than we would have done, thank you!

We were pleased with both tours

We were pleased with both tours. Petra is breathtaking, beautiful and a great walking experience. Swimming in the Dead Sea and having mud spread all over was a singular experience. Wadi rum was an original experience sleeping in a Bedouin camp. The food was definitely an experience not to miss and their hospitality was great. We loved it.

Amazing Tour

It was a great experience, we saw anything they promised and much more. The guide made it possible on his own. Great tanks for that. I would do it again but then the greater tour. And yes there are many religions explanations, and if you’re not soooo religious enjoy the buildings former generations you will be astonished from the old engineering. Just do it 👍

Location location location PERFECT

Location location location. Jerusalem tower is in the perfect location. You can pretty much walk almost anywhere from there. Only negative is we checked in on Shabbat and as a result did not get a room until 23:00 after a full day of tours we were exhausted. If we would have known we would have stayed the extra night in Tel Viv

Kareem was the best tour guide one can ask for

This company definitely got the right tour guide on the Jordan side. The one we had, was called Kareem and his driver Hussein. Kareem was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He knew a lot about the Jordanian history, tried to bring as close to the Jordanian culture as he could. Gave us freshly baked local pida, showed us the interesting parts in petra and knew a lot of facts about it. At the end of the tour we got Jordanian cuisine to eat and as a dessert local watermelons with their version of "healthy coffee". Kareem was very keen on bringing us his culture as close as possible, can only recommend that you ask if he is available for your tour.

We're thrilled to hear about your exceptional experience with our tour guide Kareem and driver Hussein in Jordan. We appreciate your recommendation and will certainly pass on your positive feedback to Kareem. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for more enriching experiences in the future!

horrible ripped us off for our money…

horrible ripped us off for our money told us we need travel visas when we didn't was included in our trip and still after purchasing did not let us through and no refund. WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Dear Aleasha, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We take your concerns seriously and we are saddened to hear about the inconvenience you experienced during your recent trip. We would love the opportunity to hear more details about your situation and further investigate the matter. If you are referring to the visa issue in Jordan, please note that as stated on our website, visa fees are excluded from the tour cost and are typically waived when travelers stay more than 2 nights in Jordan. You are only required to pay the visa fee upon entry if you are granted permission to enter Jordan. We understand the frustration of being denied entry into Jordan, and we regret any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds in cases of denied entry since our trips are pre-arranged to ensure a seamless experience. However, we strongly recommend reaching out to your travel insurance provider, as they may be able to assist you with any potential reimbursement for this situation. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our services. If you have more details to share or any other questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. Sincerely

TSA is prepared for the expected increase in summer travel from Newark Liberty International Airport

tourist israel airport transfer

NEWARK, N.J.--As Memorial Day Weekend approaches, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is prepared to handle an increase in the number of travelers who will be flying out of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and airports nationwide.

For the first time ever, TSA will likely be screening more than 3 million passengers nationwide in a single day at some point this summer. We have already recorded four top 10 busiest days this month, with this Thursday and Friday before Memorial Day expected to see more than 2.9 individuals screened at checkpoints across the nation.

“Here at Newark, we expect to see approximately 11,000 more travelers per day for Memorial Day Weekend than we see in an average weekend,” said Thomas Carter, TSA’s Federal Security Director for New Jersey. This is a 2.5 percent increase over 2023 volumes. “The most important things that travelers can do is to get to the airport early and come prepared to go through the checkpoint screening process.”

Top Ten Highest Volumn Days

TSA continues to deploy new technologies at checkpoints to enhance security, which is why it is important for travelers to listen to and follow the guidance offered by TSA officers. TSA continues to upgrade all of its primary screening technologies for identity verification and carry-on bag screening. These critical technology investments improve security effectiveness; increase security efficiency; and enhance the passenger experience. These technologies include computed tomography (CT) and credential authentication technology (CAT or CAT-2). The CT units provide a 3D image of the contents of carry-on bags at checkpoints. The CAT units scan a traveler’s photo identification, confirm the traveler’s identity as well as their flight details. The new generation of CAT units, referred to as CAT-2, have the same capabilities, but are also equipped with a camera that captures a real-time photo of the traveler. CAT-2 compares the traveler’s photo on the ID against the in-person, real-time photo. Once the CAT-2 confirms the match, a security officer verifies and the traveler can proceed through the checkpoint, without ever exchanging a boarding pass. The photo is then deleted. Travelers who do not wish to participate in the facial matching process can opt out in favor of an alternative identity verification process.

TSA asks that the travelling public do their part in efficient checkpoint screening by arriving to the airport two hours prior to their scheduled flight departure and know what they can – and cannot pack – in their carry-on luggage.

Top Ten Highest Volumn Days

TSA reminds passengers to always know the contents of their carry-on bag prior to coming to the security checkpoint. TSA has multiple resources available to passengers to help them determine whether an item is permitted in carry-on baggage, checked baggage, either or neither. Travelers can use the “ Can I Bring?” feature on the TSA website or on the free downloadable myTSA app . Travelers can also tweet to @AskTSA or send a text message (275-872) if they have a travel question or are unsure if an item is allowed through security in a carry-on bag. Just snap a picture or send a question and get real-time assistance.

Individuals who are planning to travel this summer should consider enrolling in TSA PreCheck ®. The popular expedited screening program allows travelers to leave on their shoes, jackets, belts and enables them to keep their electronics and 3-1-1 bags in their carry-on bags. Teenagers aged 13-17 may accompany their TSA PreCheck-enrolled parents or guardians through TSA PreCheck screening when traveling on the same reservation and when the TSA PreCheck indicator appears on the teen’s boarding pass. Children 12 and under may still accompany an enrolled parent or guardian when traveling through the TSA PreCheck lanes anytime without restriction.

This summer is also the ideal time to get a REAL ID drivers license. We are one year out from the REAL ID deadline. Beginning May 7, 2025, if you plan to use your state-issued ID or license to fly within the U.S., make sure it is REAL ID compliant.

Travelers should also keep these tips in mind while traveling:

  • Do not attempt to bring a firearm through a TSA checkpoint; doing so compromises the safety and security of other passengers and our officers in the checkpoint.  Passengers who do attempt to bring a firearm through a checkpoint can expect to receive a civil penalty (fines may be as high as $15,000) and lose eligibility for TSA PreCheck. Additionally, local law enforcement will be called and because these passengers may present additional risk beyond the firearm, they will receive enhanced screening. The TSA web site has a feature on the homepage called “What can I bring?” Type in the name of the item and it will let you  know if it should be packed in a checked bag or carry-on bag. The same handy feature is available on the free downloadable MyTSA app . The MyTSA app gives users 24/7 access to the most frequently requested airport security information on any mobile device, including a searchable database that will let you know whether an item can be packed in a carry-on bag, checked bag, either or neither. The app also identifies delay information and current weather conditions at your favorite airports nationwide.
  • Get to the airport early. Travelers should arrive a minimum of two hours before their scheduled domestic flights and three hours before scheduled international flights. Roadways near airports are going to be crowded. It is going to take longer to locate an available parking space at the airport. Airline check-in counters will be busy. This is all before you even get to the security checkpoint. If you find yourself waiting in a security checkpoint lane, use that time to your advantage. That’s the ideal time to remove items from your pockets and place them into a carry-on bag. It’s also the time to get out your ID and boarding pass so you’re not fumbling in your wallet for your ID when you step up to the TSA travel document checking podium.
  • Know before you go. Travelers need to know what can and cannot go in their carry-on bag, from firearms to oversize liquids. Passengers will spend more time in the security checkpoint if their carry-on items trigger an alarm because it results in TSA’s need to resolve the alarm by opening the carry-on bag to determine what triggered the alarm. Use TSA’s tools for your resources. TSA offers several ways for travelers to find out if an item is permitted in a carry-on bag, checked bag, either or neither and TSA has just launched a new higher level of assistance for travelers with questions about airport security screening procedures. Airline passengers may now send a text message using any mobile device to “AskTSA” (275-872). A virtual assistant is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For more complicated questions, @AskTSA staff are available daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Twitter and on Facebook Messenger.
  • Bring an acceptable ID. Before heading to the airport, travelers should make sure they have  acceptable identification .  And remember, the REAL ID deadline is less than a year away.
  • Request passenger support. Travelers or families of passengers with disabilities and/or medical conditions may call the  TSA Cares  helpline toll free at 855-787-2227 at least 72 hours prior to travel with any questions about screening procedures and to find out what to expect at the security checkpoint. TSA Cares also arranges assistance at the checkpoint for travelers with specific needs.
  • Never leave a suitcase, roller bag, laptop bag, shopping bag, backpack or any other item unattended. And if you come across an unattended item, please alert an airport official. If you See Something, Say Something®.

TSA Expects to Screen 18 Million Passengers for Memorial Day Weekend — and These Airports Will Be the Busiest

Holiday travel could be more or less seamless depending on which airport you're heading out of.

tourist israel airport transfer

Brandon Bell/Getty Images

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects to screen more than 18 million travelers and crew over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, even more than last summer.

The busiest day at the airport is expected to be Friday, May 24, when nearly 3 million passengers are forecast to make their way across TSA screening checkpoints, according to the agency . From May 23 to May 29, the TSA expects to see 6.4 percent more travelers compared to the same period last summer.

“In close coordination with airport, airline and travel partners, we are more than ready to handle this summer’s increased travel volumes,” TSA Administrator David Pekoske said in a statement. “We are also continuing to deploy state-of-the-art checkpoint technology that increases security effectiveness, efficiency and enhances the passenger experience and our retention and recruitment numbers are the highest they’ve ever been.”

To help deal with the increased crowds, the TSA said travelers flying for Memorial Day should arrive at the airport ahead of their flight with plenty of time to spare. Most airlines recommend arriving at the airport two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international flight. However, travels could be more or less seamless depending on which airport you're heading out of. According to data from booking app Hopper, shared with T+L, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, and Denver International Airport will be the busiest while Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Orlando International Airport, Seattle–Tacoma International Airport will be the least busy.

To save yourself a Memorial Day weekend headache, travelers should consider taking the first flight of the day (because it tends to have fewer disruptions) and know your options when it comes to rebooking in case of a delay or last-minute cancellation, Hopper also shared with T+L. It’s also not a bad idea to build in a “buffer day” just in case things go awry.

For travelers looking for a last minute deal, Hopper Lead Economist Hayley Berg told T+L they should book ASAP since prices are expected to spike more than $40 in the next two weeks leading up to Memorial Day. The good news: airfare is only averaging about $260 per ticket and is actually down 9.5 percent compared to last year.
