Not only will you save money, but you’ll also be able to get free flights! Because even if you only fly with Vueling once or twice a year, there are many other ways of collecting Avios with the Vueling Club loyalty programme, and you’ll then be able to use the Avios to get discounts.

It’s always the same with loyalty programmes: you don’t think it’s worth it if you don’t book lots of flights. It’s a bit different with Vueling Club though! If you join the programme, you can also collect Avios  (that’s the name of the programme’s points) with your usual shopping . It’s very simple! We’ll tell you all about it.

How do you collect Avios (which can be exchanged for discounts) with Vueling Club?

1. When you make a purchase at Vueling.com or Iberia.com

travel club vueling

Every time you book a flight or add an extra to your booking (bags, seat selection, priority boarding, insurance, etc.), you’ll collect Avios. These points don’t expire as long as you collect or spend Avios at least once every three years. The Avios will be added to your account after you fly and you can spend them on your next booking.

2. When you book or make a purchase through Vueling’s partners

travel club vueling

You can also collect Avios, which you’ll be able to exchange for discounts at Vueling.com , when you do your usual shopping.

Vueling partners : Vueling Club has agreements with lots of companies, and you can collect Avios with them too. Some of the partners are Booking, Marriott, Bicester Village and The Economist .

Vueling Club eStore  (only for spanish residents): You can buy over 100 brands online and collect Avios : H&M, El Corte Inglés, Adidas, PromoFarma … and many more.

Why is it worth joining Vueling Club?

1. You’ll get discounts on your trips, and you can even fly for free!

travel club vueling

As we already mentioned, your Avios can be exchanged for discounts on your trips. When you book at Vueling.com , remember to identify yourself as a member and the available discount will appear.

2. You can save your purchase details and the details of the passengers who are travelling with you

travel club vueling

That way you won’t have to enter all the details again every time you book.

3. You’ll find out about all the promotions

When you join Vueling Club you’ll receive communications telling you about offers and promotions from the club and from Vueling. You won’t miss a thing!

4. And you’ll gradually be one step closer to becoming a Premium customer

If you book 20 return flights per year, you’ll become a Premium customer . This is aimed mainly at people who travel a lot for work. If that’s you, make the most of it!

So if you want your purchases to help you travel, join Vueling Club today!

Vueling Airlines Review [2024]: Flight experience worth it?

Vueling Airlines Review [2024]: Flight experience worth it?

I've dug into the world of Vueling Airlines, uncovering everything you need to know. The goal? To help you make an informed decision when booking your next vacay. Smart travel starts here!

travel club vueling

While tons of budget-friendly airlines pop up, each promising an experience better than the next, it gets tough picking among airlines. But what if a budget airline compromises your travel experience and ends up ruining your trip?

I've had my fair share of awful flight experiences, so I want to help others.

We've reviewed several budget airlines in Europe , like FlyTAP Portugal and Transavia . So, I think it's time to give an in-depth review of another European airline: Vueling Airlines.

Here's all the crucial information I've learned about Vueling Airlines so you can get the details before booking!

I grabbed a screenshot of the Vueling Airlines Logo

What Is Vueling Airlines?

Vueling Airlines is a budget airline that holds the pre-eminent title as Spain's largest airline with the largest fleet size and destinations.

Founded in 2004, the airline's first flight was between Barcelona and Ibiza. In 2019, the airline set a record for carrying 34 million passengers in a single year.

Vueling Airlines also holds a prestigious ranking in the low-budget airlines' category.

What Are the Packages Offered?

Vueling Airlines currently offers 4 packages I could find to meet the needs of various passengers:

  • Basic Fare: Cheapest rates for backpackers with a single hand carry.
  • Optima Fare: Affordable rates for 25 kg checked-in luggage, 2 hand-carry, and free seat selection.
  • Family Fare: Reasonable option for families with 25 kgluggage, 2 hand luggage, free seat selection, 2 freehold items for parents with kids under 2 years old, and priority boarding.
  • TimeFlex Fare: Ideal for frequent travelers with last-minute plan changes. Features include 2 hand luggage, unlimited flight changes free of charge, flight credit as a refund option, and priority boarding. I believe the unlimited flight changes allow you to adjust your trip on the fly without stress.

Is Vueling Airlines Legit?

In short, yes, they are! Vueling Airlines is part of the International Airlines Group (IAG), with notable subsidiaries such as British Airways and Iberia Airlines .

I can confirm that Vueling Airlines is also legit regarding safety concerns.

In the past 18 years, the airline has never come across an accident except for very few bird strikes and on-ground engine problems. Vueling follows the high safety standards set for European airlines.

Also, the airline has consistently ranked as one of the safest low-budget airlines in the world. So, landing at your destination safe and sound, I feel, would end up being the last thing you need to worry about when traveling with Vueling!

My screenshot of the IAG and Vueling and other airline partners/alliances website section

Who Is Vueling Airlines Owned By?

I was interested in this as well. Vueling Airlines operates under the International Airlines Group (IAG). The multinational airline holding group officially bought Vueling in 2012.

While many people confuse whether Vueling Airlines is part of British Airways, it's not. Although Vueling Airlines and British Airways are partner airlines, as with other airlines under IAG.

Where Does the Company Fly?

Vueling Airlines only had 2 Airbus320 aircraft that flew to 3 selective European destinations and a single airport in France in the initial years. Today, it travels to 140 destinations around the world on multiple continents!

Vueling vows to "open up a world of possibilities" for its passengers and has continued adding more destinations. Here are some of the most popular destinations:

  • Europe: Alicante, Barcelona, Brussels, Italy, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Valencia
  • Africa: Banjul, Cairo, Dakar, Marrakech, Tangier, Tunis
  • Middle East: Amman, Beirut, Tel Aviv

It doesn't fly to destinations in North or South America, Asia, or Oceania countries yet.

Although I've listed the most popular destinations above, I recommend looking at its official website for the most updated list. You can look at its web map , where I found a list of the current places the airline flies to and from under All Vueling Destinations.

What It's Like to Fly With Vueling Airlines?

I can safely say traveling with Vueling Airlines is what you would expect from a budget-friendly airline. Nothing fancy, but your basic needs are taken care of, provided that you choose the right package for your requirements.

The seats are well-enough considering the price in terms of legroom and space. I wanted more room for myself, so I upgraded to the Excellence Service for around US$105.

With this upgrade, you get extra legroom, no middle-seat person elbowing into you, and a complimentary snack.

Additionally, almost all Vueling aircraft have Wi-Fi, which is a must for me. I would prefer it would be included for free, but the Wi-Fi packages vary from US$3.50 to US$6.50 depending on the activities you want to indulge in during the flight.

Seems pretty reasonable to me!

Does the Airline Serve Food and Drinks?

Unfortunately, I have to warn you... There won't be anything to munch in terms of onboard food, at least nothing that's not an extra cost! That is, unless you've purchased a business-class ticket.

Vueling Airlines' food options are not included in your ticket price.

However, you can buy food and drinks from their extensive menu during your flight. The menu I saw includes all sorts of stuff, such as proper full-course meals, snacks, desserts, beverages, and alcohol.

The prices aren't sky-high either, so if your tummy starts rumbling, it's a good idea to call the crew and grab a bite.

What Are People Saying About Vueling Airlines?

Based on over 27,000 Vueling Airlines reviews, Vueling only holds 2.5/5 stars on Tripadvisor. So, why exactly are people this disappointed in this airline even though it's relatively budget-friendly? I had to find out more.

Most bad Vueling Airlines reviews stem from the lack of on-time departures and arrivals. The reviews have also criticized Vueling Airline for issues related to bookings and the quality and timeliness of their customer service team.

It's not all terrible, though!

Around 14,000 reviews rate their experience on Vueling Airlines between average to excellent. Many people have praised Vueling Airlines for being accomodating and a great value-for-money option.

My screenshot of TripAdvisor reviews of Vueling Airlines

What Is Its Luggage Policy?

I mentioned this prior, but with many budget airlines, you'll only get a small baggage allowance according to the ticket you purchased. But all is not lost even if you carry more luggage than your package permits.

Here's the allowance you'll get with each package:

  • Basic Fare: 1 under-the-seat cabin bag (personal item)
  • Optima Fare: 1 under-the-seat cabin bag (personal item), 1 checked luggage of up to 25kgs
  • Family Fare: 1 under-the-seat cabin bag (personal item), 1 checked luggage of up to 25kgs
  • TimeFlex Fare: 1 under-the-seat cabin bag (personal item), 1 checked luggage of up to 25kgs, 1 carry-on suitcase of 10kgs

Want to add carry-on bags to a fare that doesn't already include it? For this 10kgs bag, you'll need to pay between ~US$36 to ~$86 if it's on the web/app. Or, if you wait to purchase at the airport, you'll be charged anywhere between ~US$80 to US~$110.

As far as check-in luggage goes, pricing gets a bit more complicated. I've included a picture directly from the Vueling website to help you out:

table of cost of extra baggage for vueling airlines

Vueling Airlines offers the added advantage of carrying special luggage that doesn't fit in your bags. The conditions are that you can carry only one special luggage with a maximum weight of 32 kg.

Honestly, I found these policies on par with other carriers, both in allowance and with how confusing the policy can be.

The screenshot I took of Vueling Cabin Baggage Policy Infographic

Check-in Process

I benefitted from Vueling Airlines' online check-in system. Complete the step-by-step process, add the important documents, and pay for extra luggage to avoid inconvenience at the airport.

You can do check-in online anywhere between 7 days to 4 hours before your scheduled flight.

Prefer to check in at the airport? I hear you and it's not a problem with Vueling!

Vueling Airlines opens its check-in desk for every flight 2.5 hours before departure and closes it 40 minutes before departure. On the other hand, the boarding gate closes 10 minutes before. I'd make sure you mindful of time at all times!

Does It Have a Cancellation and Refund Policy?

Suppose you're unable to travel on your scheduled flight for any reason. In that case, Vueling Airlines offers various options in its cancellation and refund policy.

I didn't actually cancel any fights, but I investigated the terms for you.

For starters, you can change your flight within 24 hours of booking for no cost. Once this period expires, you'll have to pay ~US$75 if the flight is in 15 days and ~US$90 for less than 15 days.

This does not go for Flex passengers since they can make changes anytime without charges.

If you decide to cancel your flight, Vueling Airlines offers refunds in cashback and flight credits. For this, you can contact customer support online or through their contact number. You'll be charged a cancellation fee if the 24-hour period has expired.

If Vueling Airlines cancels the flight or changes it, the airline will accommodate you fully.

How Is Vueling Airlines Customer Service?

I find what many people don't consider when booking flights is if the airline provides good customer service. I get it, you won't really need to talk to customer service until you start running into problems.

For those that have experiences problems, the quality of customer service tends to make or break an airline. Most airlines deal with thousands of customer feedback daily, and it's important to know whether the airline values its customers.

Vueling Airlines offers multiple ways to get in touch with its customer service. You can call them on their contact number or send an email their way. The customer representative team handles personalized queries between 9 am to 10 pm Spanish time throughout the week.

Unfortunately, many online reviews state that inquiries often take months for the customer service to get back to you to resolve your issue. I notice this to be a bit of a trend with some budget airlines, so perhaps it's just a bitter pill to swallow for savings.

Is Vueling Airlines Worth It?

In short, I feel Vueling Airlines is a decent option for budget travelers.

You'll get the basic amenities and a safe travel experience at affordable prices. With 4 different packages, you'll likely find one that suits your needs. The major downside is Vueling Airline's subpar customer service and frequent cancellations or delays. I thankfully avoided those.

Based on Vueling Airline reviews, If you take those downsides into consideration when you fly Vueling Airlines, I must say the airline is what you'd expect as a low-cost airline.

I certainly recommend you to check out other alternatives and see if there are cheaper budget airline options before you book with Vueling, to make the most of your trip.

My Rating: 3.2/5

  • I found many destinations to fly to.
  • Low-cost prices.
  • Decent in-flight experience.
  • Poor customer service.
  • Frequent delays and canceled flights.
  • I feel it's expensive to add-on luggage.

More Frequently Asked Questions About Vietjet Air

What's seating like in vueling airlines.

Vueling Airlines is a budget airline, so its seating tends to be more focused on affordability than luxurious amenities. However, its economy seating is designed to provide a comfortable travel experience.

While it's not the most comfortable seating, it's comparable with other budget airlines. The seats recline and have average legroom space, about 28 to 30 inches. Seats are usually configured in a 3-3-3 style, depending on the aircraft type.

Excellence seating, on the other hand, provides more legroom, as well as priority boarding and check-in, among other benefits.

Does Vueling Have In-Flight Entertainment?

This is where things get a little murky. I personally didn't have a screen or entertainment system when I flew with Vueling. They do have Wi-Fi options, and were one of the first budget carriers to offer it!

What's the Fee for Canceling Your Flight With Vuleing?

The cancellation fee for Vueling flights can vary depending on the time of cancellation, fare type, and other factors. If it's a non-refundable ticket, it'll likely cost you anywhere from 10% to 60% of your ticket cost to cancel it.

"FlexFly" fare allows for free cancellations and changes at anytime. I highly recommend you review the cancellation policy of your specific fare before booking the ticket.

What is the Vueling Club?

The Vueling Club is a loyalty program that rewards frequent flyers. Club members earn Avios points for flights, which can be used for discounts on future travel, cabin upgrades, and other perks.

The Vueling Club also allows for earning and redeeming Avios points on other airlines within the IAG Group. Think companies like Iberia and British Airways, providing even more opportunities for you to save on travel.

What are Vueling's Codeshare Agreements?

Vueling has codeshare agreements with several other airlines. This means you can book a flight on one airline and part of your journey may be on a Vueling flight, or vice versa.

Because of its connection to the IAG Group, Vueling has codeshare agreements with airlines such as British Airways, Iberia, Qatar Airways, Aer Lingus, and more.

Please check the latest information on the Vueling website or contact Vueling customer service for up-to-date information on partners.

Does Vueling Airlines Have a Mobile App?

Yes, Vueling Airlines does have a mobile app, referred to as the Vueling app. It provides a convenient platform for managing your travel on the go.

Through the app, you can book flights, choose seats, add luggage, manage your Vueling Club account, and check-in for your flight. It can also store your boarding pass, making travel paperless and hassle-free.

The Vueling app does a pretty good job of helping make your travel experience as smooth as possible.

What is Vueling Airlines?

Airport experience: check-in and baggage drop, seats: comfort depends on where you sit, food and beverage: plenty of choice but not free, vueling club, final thoughts: is vueling a good airline.

Vueling Airlines is a low-cost European carrier based in Spain. As is typical with budget airlines, you’ll need to pay for all add-ons when you fly, and all seats on the plane are economy. However, if you’re looking to save money and don’t care about these extras, Vueling could be a good choice.

Here’s a review of a Vueling Airlines flight from Barcelona, Spain, to Amsterdam and what you can expect when flying with this carrier.

Vueling is a budget airline, flying to over 100 destinations within Europe and to various countries in Africa and the Middle East. Vueling Club, the airline’s loyalty program, allows you to earn Avios on your flights. The airline also has an app where you can book trips, check into a flight, review flight info and more.

The entire airport experience from the check-in kiosk to the bag drop was fast and efficient. It took no more than 10 minutes.

Vueling check-in kiosk

travel club vueling

I saw many self-service check-in counters at the airport and followed the signs to Vueling's check-in area. I had already checked in on the app, but I used the kiosk to print a luggage tag since I had a bag to check. (You can also check in at the kiosk).

After printing my luggage tag, I attached it to my bag based on the easy-to-follow instructions displayed on the kiosk. When attaching the luggage tag to your bag, you keep a part of the luggage tag that displays your bag tag information. I took a photo of this like I always do, in case I lose the piece of paper.

Vueling baggage drop

travel club vueling

Right next to the check-in kiosks is the self-service baggage drop section. I was impressed with this area rather than the usual long line I am used to seeing when I want to check luggage at the airport. In addition, plenty of Vueling employees were walking around offering help to anyone who needed it.

In the bag drop area, I found an empty station and placed my luggage on the conveyor belt so that it could be weighed. I also scanned my boarding pass using the handheld scanner attached to the screen, which then displayed my flight information. I would assume that if my bag were overweight, I would have been prompted to pay extra for the weight.

My bag was within the allowance, so at this point, the conveyor belt began moving and took my bag. The entire process was straightforward between the check-in kiosk and the self-service baggage drop area. I wish more airlines would adopt this approach.

Vueling baggage policy

It's important to remember that since Vueling is a budget airline, checked luggage or even a carry-on bag isn’t free on most fares. However, Vueling allows all passengers to bring an underseat cabin bag for free.

Only the TimeFlex Fare includes a carry-on bag up to 10 kilograms (22 pounds) at a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 20 centimeters (21.6 x 15.7 x 7.9 inches). If you’re flying on another fare, you can add a carry-on on the app or website for 24 to 59 euros (about $26 to $65). Doing this at the airport will cost 55 to 75 euros (about $60 to $82).

If your carry-on is larger or heavier, it must be checked. When adding checked luggage to your reservation, Vueling provides different prices depending on the weight of your bag. The weight options range from 15 to 30 kilograms for a checked bag.

According to Vueling, you can save up to 50% on your luggage fees if you purchase your checked bag up to a day before your flight on the website or app. I had a 20-kilogram bag and paid 35 euros (about $38) at booking for my checked bag.

» Learn more: How to avoid paying checked baggage fees

My flight from Barcelona to Amsterdam was on the Airbus A320, which features 180 standard economy seats. All the seats are the same, with a seat pitch of 29 inches and a width of 17.7 inches. The only difference between the seats is that some have extra legroom due to their positioning in the front of the plane or at the exit row.

While I was initially seated in seat 22B, I was moved before takeoff into seat 1D. As a 5-foot-5-inch passenger, I had minimal legroom in seat 22B.

travel club vueling

The seat pocket in front was large enough to hold my headphones case and power bank. I could have probably stuffed a water bottle into the pocket too. When I moved to seat 1D, there was significantly more legroom.

travel club vueling

In seat 1D, the space for storing belongings was reduced. This is a common feature of seats at the bulkhead, along with no underseat storage. I didn’t mind because the space felt much more comfortable due to the extra legroom.

The carpet in this area looked pretty worn and was already dirty, and we hadn’t even taken off yet.

If you plan on flying Vueling and legroom is important to you, sitting in row 1 is your best bet. I didn’t get a chance to check out the legroom in the exit rows. You can also check how much different Vueling seats cost on Vueling’s website.

Although the trip from Barcelona to Amsterdam was only around two hours, there were plenty of drink and food choices for sale on the flight. Each seatback pocket included an extensive menu, featuring a QR code on the front cover to view the digital menu.

Here are a few photos of what’s featured in the menu to give you an idea of the choices available:

travel club vueling

Since it was a quick flight, and I had already eaten in the Priority Pass lounge , I decided to just buy some snacks. I chose a Coke Zero, mixed olives and truffled almonds, which totaled $11. It was really tasty and I was satisfied with my purchase.

travel club vueling

There is also a published food and beverage menu on Vueling’s website , available to review before your flight to give you an idea of what options may be available.

The airline’s loyalty program, Vueling Club, allows passengers to earn Avios on flights at these rates:

Basic fares earn 2 Avios per 1 euro.

Optima, Family and TimeFlex fares earn 4 Avios per 1 euro.

Premium members earn double Avios.

In addition, you can also earn Avios when shopping with Vueling’s partners or through the Vueling eStore.

If you’d rather not earn Avios with Vueling Club, you can credit your flight to Iberia Plus or Aer Lingus AerClub. You can then keep the Avios in those accounts and use them for booking award flights with those programs.

You can also move your Avios to British Airways, providing an additional opportunity for redeeming your Avios. To do so, you’d need to combine your accounts on avios.com .

» Learn more: How to t ransfer Avios between BA/Iberia/Aer Lingus/Qatar

I credited my Vueling flight to Iberia, because having my Avios with Iberia (or even with British Airways if I choose to combine) provides opportunities for redeeming for award flights with Oneworld airlines .

» Learn more: Oneworld alliance award sweet spots and transfer partners

Vueling offers many flight options for those traveling within Europe and to certain destinations in Africa and the Middle East at a low cost. The airline provides an opportunity to earn Avios, which are easily transferable to several airlines. However, as a budget airline, you’ll need to pay to check a bag, pick a seat and enjoy food and drinks on your flight.

Nonetheless, I was impressed with the speedy luggage check process and the tasty snacks on board. So if you’re looking to save money while traveling around Europe, Vueling offers a good option.

History of Moscow Oblast

The territory of the Moscow region was inhabited more than 20 thousand years ago. In the first millennium AD, this land was inhabited mostly by the Finno-Ugric peoples (Meryane and Meshchera). In the 9th-10th centuries, the Slavs began active development of the region. The population was engaged in hunting, fisheries, agriculture, and cattle breeding.

In the middle of the 12th century, the territory of the present Moscow region became part of the Vladimir-Suzdal principality, the first towns were founded (Volokolamsk in 1135, Moscow in 1147, Zvenigorod in 1152, Dmitrov in 1154). In the first half of the 13th century, the Vladimir-Suzdal principality was conquered by the Mongols.

In the 14th-16th centuries, Moscow principality became the center of unification of Russian lands. The history of the Moscow region is inextricably linked to military events of the Time of Troubles - the siege of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery by the troops of False Dmitry II, the first and second militias.

More historical facts…

In 1708, by decree of Peter the Great, Moskovskaya gubernia (province) was established. It included most of the territory of present Moscow oblast. In 1712, St. Petersburg became the capital of the Russian Empire and the significance of the Moscow region as the country’s economic center began to decrease.

In 1812, the Battle of Borodino took place near Moscow. It was the biggest battle of the Russian-French War of 1812. In the second half of the 19th century, especially after the peasant reform of 1861, the Moscow province experienced economic growth. In 1851, the first railway connected Moscow and St. Petersburg; in 1862 - Nizhny Novgorod.

The population of the Moscow region increased significantly (in 1847 - 1.13 million people, in 1905 - 2.65 million). On the eve of the First World War, Moscow was a city with a population of more than one million people.

In November, 1917, the Soviet power was established in the region. In 1918, the country’s capital was moved from St. Petersburg to Moscow that contributed to economic recovery of the province. In the 1920s-1930s, a lot of churches located near Moscow were closed, a large number of cultural monuments were destroyed. On January 14, 1929, Moscow Oblast was formed.

In 1941-1942, one of the most important battles of the Second World War took place on the territory of the region - the Battle for Moscow. In the postwar years, the growth of economic potential of the region continued; several science cities were founded (Dubna, Troitsk, Pushchino, Chernogolovka).

In the 1990s, the economy of Moscow Oblast experienced a deep crisis. Since the 1990s, due to the motorization of the population and commuting, road traffic situation in the Moscow region significantly deteriorated. Traffic jams have become commonplace.

Moscow Oblast - Features

Moscow Oblast is located in the central part of the East European Plain, in the basin of the rivers of Volga, Oka, Klyazma, Moskva. The region stretches from north to south for 310 km, from west to east - 340 km. It was named after the city of Moscow, which however is not part of the region. Part of the administrative authorities of the region is located in Krasnogorsk.

On the territory of the Moscow region, there are 77 cities and towns, 19 of them have a population of more than 100 thousand people. The largest cities are Balashikha (518,300), Podolsk (309,600), Mytishchi (262,700), Khimky (256,300), Korolyov (225,300), Lubertsy (209,600), Krasnogorsk (174,900), Elektrostal (149,000), Odintsovo (138,900), Kolomna (136,800), Domodedovo (136,100).

The climate is temperate continental. Summers are warm, winters are moderately cold. The average temperature in January is minus 10 degrees Celsius, in July - plus 19 degrees Celsius.

One of the most important features of the local economy is its proximity to Moscow. Some of the cities (Odintsovo, Krasnogorsk, Mytishchi) have become in fact the “sleeping districts” of Moscow. The region is in second place in terms of industrial production among the regions of Russia (after Moscow).

The leading industries are food processing, engineering, chemical, metallurgy, construction. Moscow oblast has one of the largest in Russia scientific and technological complexes. Handicrafts are well developed (Gzhel ceramics, Zhostov trays, Fedoskino lacquered miniatures, toy-making).

Moscow railway hub is the largest in Russia (11 radial directions, 2,700 km of railways, the density of railways is the highest in Russia). There are two large international airports - Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo. Vnukovo airport is used for the flights within the country.

Attractions of Moscow Oblast

Moscow Oblast has more than 6,400 objects of cultural heritage:

  • famous estate complexes,
  • ancient towns with architectural monuments (Vereya, Volokolamsk, Dmitrov, Zaraysk, Zvenigorod, Istra, Kolomna, Sergiev Posad, Serpukhov),
  • churches and monasteries-museums (the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, Joseph-Volokolamsk monastery, Pokrovsky Khotkov monastery, Savvino Storozhevsky monastery, Nikolo Ugresha monastery).

The most famous estate complexes:

  • Arkhangelskoye - a large museum with a rich collection of Western European and Russian art of the 17th-19th centuries,
  • Abramtsevo - a literary and artistic center,
  • Melikhovo - an estate owned by A.P. Chekhov at the end of the 19th century,
  • Zakharovo and Bolshiye Vyazyomy included in the History and Literature Museum-Reserve of Alexander Pushkin,
  • House-Museum of the composer P.I. Tchaikovsky in Klin,
  • Muranovo that belonged to the poet F.I. Tyutchev,
  • Shakhmatovo - the estate of the poet Alexander Blok.

The architectural ensemble of the Trinity Sergius Lavra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The largest museum of the Moscow region is located in Serpukhov - Serpukhov Historical and Art Museum.

The places of traditional arts and crafts are the basis of the souvenir industry of Russia:

  • Fedoskino - lacquer miniature painting,
  • Bogorodskoe - traditional manufacture of wooden toys,
  • Gzhel - unique tradition of creating ceramics,
  • Zhostovo - painted metal crafts,
  • Pavlovsky Posad - fabrics with traditional printed pattern.

Some of these settlements have museums dedicated to traditional crafts (for example, a toy museum in Bogorodskoe), as well as centers of learning arts and crafts.
