I ordered $500USD on line. It was ready on time, for pickup at the local shop, but it came as 5x$100USD notes. The staff person claimed that she was not allowed to change it into any other denominations. As she clearly had a draw full of USD in different denominations, I thought that was quite poor. She claimed that you get a better rate on line because you don't get to choose the denominations. I did not see that being articulated anywhere on the website. It may be buried in the terms and conditions, but it should be made obvious.

Traveled the world in 2023 using my travel money Oz bank card. Went to 29 countries and 44 destinations and the card never let me down.So easy to use and could also pull out cash at ATMs if needed. Went to Fiji and Thailand couple months after the world trip and the card worked like a charm in their countries. Although, Thailand most times wanted cash than using a bank card when purchasing items which was ok cause I always took a couple bucks on me just incase I lost the card.Easy to top up funds also from different accounts using money travel Oz phone app. Furthermore, the money travel Oz card automatically converts the currency in each country which made it so simple to use than having a bag full of different currencies.

Horrible experience

We have been in Europe for over a month and have been unable to access the app the whole time due to matinence and the website has been slow through the whole time. There is now Apple Pay nor payWave. We recently loaded money onto the card and it has taken it from our bank and never uploaded it to the card. We have made attempts to contact Tavel Oz and they have done little to nothing to rectify this and we are now without any money. Would not recommend at all.

Fantastic Experience

This was one of the smoothest, friendly and quick money conversion experiences I have ever had. I did go to the kiosk not long after it opened in the morning which meant I was the first customer. When I tried to purchase USD online, have problems with the identity verification, after drivers licence/passport check, there's only Electoral roll option. However after sending through inquiry, they matched the exchange rate at the store, which is great. Hope Travel Money Oz will upgrade their identity verification process.

Good customer service

I called every day the Parramatta branch to check on the Japanese yen rate for my trip to Japan. When I decided to drop by the branch, the staff recognised my name and gave me a good rate on the Yen so I rang my family members who are going with me to Japan and they also asked me to buy the Yen for them.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Asked for new card, told it would take ten days. Three and a half weeks later still no card sent. Sent multiple emails- all met with the same response ‘one of our amazing team will be in touch within 48hrs’. Two days to respond when you’re unable to pay for anything in a foreign country! Then when they do respond it was to ask me the very same things they’d asked me before! And when I replied to that, they send me again - ‘one of our amazing team will be in touch within 48hrs’. This went on for three weeks. Unable to use the app as it had been ‘withdrawn for an update’. After I returned from my trip I was contacted and they said they didn’t send the card because they ‘couldn’t find the address’ - this is despite the fact that I had birthday cards sent to the same address from all over the world. Seems everyone could find the address except for this ‘amazing team’? The lady then had the cheek to say I can retrieve my balance from my account by providing the three digits on the back of my card - the card she just told me was never sent!!!! I went round in circles with her explaining that I cannot possibly know the digits of a card I never received! This is the second time I have posted this btw, as my first review mysteriously vanished from this page? Incompetence on a stellar level.

Poor customer service rendered card useless

I got this 2 days before departing Aust for NZ. I went to register online, but it wouldn't accept my details. Phoned and spoke to someone who confirmed my email address had been entered incorrectly by the kiosk person. It was supposed to be updated within 48-hours, but was not resolved by the time I departed. I tried to contact the company whilst overseas, but with no luck. I've not been able to top up the card from my bank account, so now paying endless conversion fees from my bank card (which I thankfully brought with me).

Hi. My experience with travel money oz was was great except I wasn't told that it doesn't work on cruises. That caused me great distress. I had to wait for a shore excursion to withdraw cash which cost me extra in fees. I could only get 500 euro out each transaction. If I had of known this I would have bought more cash and had less on the card. Otherwise it worked well. Kind regards Janine

The Unique Burial of a Child of Early Scythian Time at the Cemetery of Saryg-Bulun (Tuva)

In 1988, the Tuvan Archaeological Expedition (led by M. E. Kilunovskaya and V. A. Semenov) discovered a unique burial of the early Iron Age at Saryg-Bulun in Central Tuva. There are two burial mounds of the Aldy-Bel culture dated by 7th century BC. Within the barrows, which adjoined one another, forming a figure-of-eight, there were discovered 7 burials, from which a representative collection of artifacts was recovered. Burial 5 was the most unique, it was found in a coffin made of a larch trunk, with a tightly closed lid. Due to the preservative properties of larch and lack of air access, the coffin contained a well-preserved mummy of a child with an accompanying set of grave goods. The interred individual retained the skin on his face and had a leather headdress painted with red pigment and a coat, sewn from jerboa fur. The coat was belted with a leather belt with bronze ornaments and buckles. Besides that, a leather quiver with arrows with the shafts decorated with painted ornaments, fully preserved battle pick and a bow were buried in the coffin. Unexpectedly, the full-genomic analysis, showed that the individual was female. This fact opens a new aspect in the study of the social history of the Scythian society and perhaps brings us back to the myth of the Amazons, discussed by Herodotus. Of course, this discovery is unique in its preservation for the Scythian culture of Tuva and requires careful study and conservation.

I ordered $500USD on line. It was ready on time, for pickup at the local shop, but it came as 5x$100USD notes. The staff person claimed that she was not allowed to change it into any other denominations. As she clearly had a draw full of USD in different denominations, I thought that was quite poor. She claimed that you get a better rate on line because you don't get to choose the denominations. I did not see that being articulated anywhere on the website. It may be buried in the terms and conditions, but it should be made obvious.

Traveled the world in 2023 using my travel money Oz bank card. Went to 29 countries and 44 destinations and the card never let me down.So easy to use and could also pull out cash at ATMs if needed. Went to Fiji and Thailand couple months after the world trip and the card worked like a charm in their countries. Although, Thailand most times wanted cash than using a bank card when purchasing items which was ok cause I always took a couple bucks on me just incase I lost the card.Easy to top up funds also from different accounts using money travel Oz phone app. Furthermore, the money travel Oz card automatically converts the currency in each country which made it so simple to use than having a bag full of different currencies.

Horrible experience

We have been in Europe for over a month and have been unable to access the app the whole time due to matinence and the website has been slow through the whole time. There is now Apple Pay nor payWave. We recently loaded money onto the card and it has taken it from our bank and never uploaded it to the card. We have made attempts to contact Tavel Oz and they have done little to nothing to rectify this and we are now without any money. Would not recommend at all.

Fantastic Experience

This was one of the smoothest, friendly and quick money conversion experiences I have ever had. I did go to the kiosk not long after it opened in the morning which meant I was the first customer. Saying that the wonderful agent who assisted me was fabulous. They were efficient, friendly and also very knowledgeable about the currency and country I was going to. By the end of the experience I was even more super excited about my trip.

When I tried to purchase USD online

When I tried to purchase USD online, have problems with the identity verification, after drivers licence/passport check, there's only Electoral roll option. However after sending through inquiry, they matched the exchange rate at the store, which is great. Hope Travel Money Oz will upgrade their identity verification process.

Very pleased with transaction- rate was good and time to pick up from entering the online order was phenomenal! - around 15 minutes! I had tried previously at another exchange and they gave a very poor rate for cash conversion and Travelex wanted a week to prepare the order which was far too long. Easy pick up - just showed driving licence. Highly recommend

Good customer service

I called every day the Parramatta branch to check on the Japanese yen rate for my trip to Japan. When I decided to drop by the branch, the staff recognised my name and gave me a good rate on the Yen so I rang my family members who are going with me to Japan and they also asked me to buy the Yen for them.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Asked for new card, told it would take ten days. Three and a half weeks later still no card sent. Sent multiple emails- all met with the same response ‘one of our amazing team will be in touch within 48hrs’. Two days to respond when you’re unable to pay for anything in a foreign country! Then when they do respond it was to ask me the very same things they’d asked me before! And when I replied to that, they send me again - ‘one of our amazing team will be in touch within 48hrs’. This went on for three weeks. Unable to use the app as it had been ‘withdrawn for an update’. After I returned from my trip I was contacted and they said they didn’t send the card because they ‘couldn’t find the address’ - this is despite the fact that I had birthday cards sent to the same address from all over the world. Seems everyone could find the address except for this ‘amazing team’? The lady then had the cheek to say I can retrieve my balance from my account by providing the three digits on the back of my card - the card she just told me was never sent!!!! I went round in circles with her explaining that I cannot possibly know the digits of a card I never received! This is the second time I have posted this btw, as my first review mysteriously vanished from this page? Incompetence on a stellar level.

Exceptionally fast service.

My main reason to use Travel Money Oz was the fact that the currencies (3 of them) were ready within minutes of me putting in the order. Whereas the other currency exchange agency in the area needed several days to get it ready.

Great to see the option of currency exchange at Flight Centre....book a flight and buy foreign currency. The exchange rate is usually competitive and if you are a return customer will usually be looked after.

Poor customer service rendered card useless

I got this 2 days before departing Aust for NZ. I went to register online, but it wouldn't accept my details. Phoned and spoke to someone who confirmed my email address had been entered incorrectly by the kiosk person. It was supposed to be updated within 48-hours, but was not resolved by the time I departed. I tried to contact the company whilst overseas, but with no luck. I've not been able to top up the card from my bank account, so now paying endless conversion fees from my bank card (which I thankfully brought with me).

Costa Cruise

Hi. My experience with travel money oz was was great except I wasn't told that it doesn't work on cruises. That caused me great distress. I had to wait for a shore excursion to withdraw cash which cost me extra in fees. I could only get 500 euro out each transaction. If I had of known this I would have bought more cash and had less on the card. Otherwise it worked well. Kind regards Janine
