La cueva recibe el nombre de “Tunqui” al haber sido un refugio de gallitos de las rocas que la utilizaban para anidar antes de la presencia del hombre en la zona. En la actualidad es habitada por una pequeña cantidad de murciélagos. Se accede a ella a través de una estrecha entrada y en su interior se pueden observar diversas formaciones en las rocas producto de las filtraciones de agua. De igual forma, es posible apreciar pequeñas estalactitas y estalagmitas. La cueva se encuentra cubierta en parte por una capa de musgo, tiene una profundidad aproximada de 70 metros de largo y 30 metros de ancho, con una altura variable que alcanza hasta los 12 metros. Hacia el final de la cueva se encuentra un amplio traga luz. Los pobladores de la zona cuentan una leyenda sobre una bruja que vivía en la cueva y que convirtió en piedra a una familia yánesha que se refugió en ella huyendo del mal. Hasta ahora es posible apreciar formaciones en las piedras que asemejan a una familia yánesha y el rostro de una bruja.

Recurso situado dentro de la Reserva de Biósfera Oxapampa-Asháninka-Yánesha reconocida por la UNESCO en Junio de 2010.

Regular. El interior de la cueva está maltratado debido a la falta de cuidado al recibir a grandes grupos de personas. Es necesario trabajar en la concientización del turista para evitar que su presencia impacte negativamente en la conservación de este sitio natural. Igualmente, deben establecerse mecanismos de control adecuados para evitar se dañe el recurso.

The opportunity to discover Peru's Austro-German heritage is at your fingertips with this 2-day tour of Oxampampa and Pozuzo, two of its most famous 19th-century colonies. 

Day 1: Oxapampa

At 8 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in San Ramón and depart for the province of Oxampampa.

After crossing a bridge we'll arrive at the Mezapata viewpoint , from where we can see the Paucartambo canyon , the natural border between the regions of Junín and Pasco. Afterwards, we'll continue to our first destination, but not before making a stop at a handmade mill.

We'll arrive at Chontabamba and visit its beautiful wooden church , built by the Austro-German settlers. Afterwards, we'll return to the bus to go to Tunqui Cueva and visit a dairy factory for a tasting of its products . 

In the afternoon we'll arrive in Oxapampa, where we'll enjoy a guided tour of its main points: the Plaza de Armas, the Colonists' promenade and the church of Santa Rosa, a beautiful wooden construction of European influence . We'll finish the tour by spending the night in Oxapampa .

Day 2: Pozuzo

After enjoying an early breakfast at the hotel we'll set off. We'll drive through the Yanachanga Chemillen National Park and see from the vehicle the impressive waterfalls of Rayantambo and Yulitunqui, formed by the waterfalls of the Tunqui River.

Afterwards, we'll arrive in Pozuzo . Did you know that it was the first Austro-German colony to settle in Peru , in the middle of the 19th century? We'll take a tour of its European-style wooden churches, and pass by other equally representative constructions, such as the bridge of Emperor Wilhelm I or the Schafferer Museum, which reviews the history of European immigrants in Peru.

We'll also see the monument to Father Joseph Egg, the parish priest from Tyrol who accompanied the settlers. Before returning to San Ramon, we'll end our 2-day tour with a splendid panoramic view of the Oxapampa landscape. You'll arrive at your hotel in San Ramon in the evening.

Oxapampa: A German Colony in the Peruvian Amazon

Located in the high jungle region a couple hours north of Lima, the small town of Oxapampa sits in a small valley between lush mountains, winding rivers, and roaring waterfalls. However, this quaint little town is just any ordinary Peruvian village in the jungle. Instead, Oxapampa has a rich cultural history rooted in German tradition with Peruvian influences. As one of the most unique towns in all of Peru, Oxapampa is worth visiting just for the unique German flair and Peruvian influenced food and architecture. Here you’ll find beautifully preserved and untouched jungle landscapes, delicious food, and the kindest of people. It’s deep history is also interesting since it was founded originally by Austrian and German Colonists escaping wars and famine.

In the early 1850s the Baron Damian Freiherr von Schutz-Holzhausen signed an agreement with the Peruvian government allowing 10,000 German settlers from Tyrol and Prussia to relocate to the Alto Huallaga area of Peru. The colonists took a four-month journey from Germany to Lima, where their plans were derailed by the emerging civil war and the realization that the road to their new settlement hadn’t yet been built, despite assurances to the contrary from the Peruvian government.

Most colonists stayed in Lima, but around 300 plucky ones left for the Port of Huacho, some 150 km north, where they were put into quarantine. From here, they crossed the coast, the Andes, and then traversed the dense jungle, building the path themselves on what turned into a two-year journey. Only 170 of the colonists managed to reach the town of Pozuzu. In 1891, a few of the colonists left Pozuzu and founded nearby Oxapampa. Access to the town used to be difficult until a highway facilitated tourism in the 1980’s. Now Oxapampa is a popular tourist destination with plenty of activities and exciting traditions.

Today, the two cities have a unique and harmonious blend of Peruvian and German culture . Traditional German houses can be seen throughout this high jungle area and brunette children wear dirndls and lederhosen while they dance traditional folk steps right alongside their blonde peers.

There are a number of attractions in Oxapampa worth visiting! From walking around the picturesque town, hiking, visiting natural wonders such as waterfalls and parks, to even exploring caves. Plaza de Armas

The Plaza de Armas is the cultural hub of the town. The green plaza is where you’ll find enormous jungle trees, classic german architecture, musicians, dancers, and delicious food. Don’t miss on walking around this eccentric center of the town!

El Tigre Waterfall

A 10 minute drive or motorcycle taxi ride away from the city center is Oxapampa’s most famous waterfall. To reach the El Tigre Waterfall you’ll walk on a quick trail where you can safely reach the base of the waterfall thanks to some steps with a handrail.

Yanachaga-Chemillén National Park

For any avid bird watchers this is the national park for you. The perimeter of Yanachaga-Chemillén National Park is right next to Oxapampa. Here the 470 square mile park is open to day-visitors or camping enthusiasts planning to stay the night at the parks numerous camp sites.

Tunqui Cueva

A few minutes outside of town, the Tunqui Caves lie waiting to be explored. These caverns are worth visiting for any spelunking enthusiasts or budding geologist. There are a number of incredible underground spaces full of stalactites and stalagmites you can explore here.

Due to it’s unique history, Oxapampa has one of the most distinctive cultures and practices out of any other town in Peru. After a quick first glance at the town you’ll realize that the buildings, music, food and even peoples clothing have traces of European styling. The most prominent example is the large wooden Santa Rosa Church that sits in the middle of the town. You’ll notice that the wood architecture, small surrounding white picket fence, bell tower and overall appearance are extremely characteristic of western Europe. A majority of the surrounding houses also use the same style, seeing this kind of architecture within Peru’s Amazon Rainforests is certainly a sight you rarely come across.

Since it’s quite far off the beaten path, Oxapampa might seem like an unusual place to host a music festival. However, after getting to know the town it’s clear that the interesting history has created a diverse and accepting community ideal for an international festival.

The goal of the festival is to decentralize the arts in Peru and take Peruvian artists out of Lima and to other parts of the country. The festival was held at the lovely and pastoral Ruffner Ranch, just a short moto-taxi ride from the main plaza in Oxapampa.

A mix of traditional Peruvian dishes accompanied with German pastries and beer is available. Festival attendees are able to enjoy music, food and a family-friendly environment.

Many of the residents grow and roast delicious coffee, make cheese, and harvest honey which can be purchased in the town square for a fraction of the cost as the same products in Lima.

Getting there

Oxabus and Expreso Lobato both have overnight buses from Lima to Oxapampa that take between 9 and 11 hours. Oxabus has nicer buses, but the express Lobato bus is faster. Tickets range from 50 soles to 70 soles.

Why Visit Oxapampa? Check Out The Local Coffee, Culture & Adventures!

Green hills roll on as if the Amazon created waves that were frozen in place , and clouds seem to emanate from them with the sunrise. You watch this while sipping local coffee at your Bavarian-inspired ecolodge. You thank yourself for deciding to visit Oxapampa and wonder what adventure to do today.

A hike through tropical climates that ends at a mythical cave? Walking the canopy bridges with an over-enthusiastic and incredibly entertaining group of birders? Ziplining past tree lines and over valleys?

Maybe you just decide to chill at a bar, sipping local micro-brews and admiring the springlike weather and Alpine-like geography.

Oxapampa was populated by German immigrants in the mid-1800s. Native communities such as the Tsachopen and Ashaninka have kept their presence, too. So here you’ll sip local (delicious) coffee and look out the window to spot Bavarian architecture among tropical scenery. And your menu might be in Spanish and German.

The Popular Options

The cultural experiences.

• La Merced coffee tours. All bias aside, this region has the BEST coffee in Peru !! If you like strong, earthy coffees, this is your place. La Merced is 2 hours from Oxapampa and buses leave regularly. Price should not be more than S/ 25 a person.
• Main Plaza. Stroll around the large, shady plaza. Some of the best food is found in the restaurants and cafes here.
• Pozuzo, the original German settlement. Here everything is just a little more German. Pozuzo is smaller and warmer than Oxapampa and hosts an Oktoberfest every year. It’s 2 hours from Oxapampa and buses leave regularly. The trip is S/ 25 a person.

Note: The route to Pozuzo is a swerving, curving dirt road which can be unsafe during times of rain. Consult with a local before jumping on the bus.

• El Wharapo: Check out the old-fashioned way of making cane sugar and get some samples too! This is about 2 miles (3.3 km) from Oxapampa. This is close to Tunqui Cueva so you can make a half day trip of Tunqui and El Wharapo.

outdoors adventures

• Hanging Bridges Tour. So good we did it twice! The 40-foot high bridges put you right in the forest canopy at Ulcumano Ecolodge . You can do this as part of your stay (one activity a day is included) or as an independent activity. If you can, go at night.

Ulcumano is a top-ranked place to stay in Oxapampa and is a local leader in ecotourism. It was a surprising highlight during our 2022 trip to Peru.

• Rio Tigre waterfall: Get in some walking, work up a sweat, and soak off in the falls!! This is a good half-day option. The waterfall is over 60 feet (20 meters) tall. Any taxi or mototaxi (tuk-tuk) can take you here. Try to go first thing in the morning.
• Tunqui Cueva: This cave is only 3 miles (5k) from Oxapampa. You only need about 30 minutes to explore and see rock figures such as “La Bruja” (the witch). Creepy. Bring a flashlight. 
• Yanachaga Chemillen National Reserve. Here you’ll be among hundreds of Cock-of-the-Rocks , who flock near the campsite around 4pm. The park guides are friendly and informative. You can do a half-day visit or camp (bring your own gear). The easiest way to arrive is to take a car from “Oxa” towards Pozuzo. Just tell the driver you are going to the park.

What to Eat

Oxapamapa has a unique mix of culture, history and geography. Because of that you’ll find an eclectic gastronomy to enjoy!

This includes German-inspired dishes (including secret-recipe German beer !) and typical jungle dishes. My personal favorite is tacacho, made of plantain and pieces of fried pork.

Oxapampinos are most proud of the region’s coffee. You can have a great cup anywhere and buy bags of local beans to bring home. I recommend going to to the cafe at Hotel Heidinger (a 10 minute walk from the main plaza).

This is a rarity- a specialty coffee shop in the same area where the coffee is grown!

Where to Stay

The best eco and adventure option is Ulcumano (see Outdoors Adventures above).

Also, family-run and sustainability-minded Carolina Egg Gesthaus is $45 a night for a room (includes breakfast). We stayed here in 2019 and 2022 and loved it both times.

They have a bonfire every night, and during the day it’s warm enough to dip in the pool. The buildings are traditional log cabins set around tropical vegetation. This is the spot to stay in town.

When to Visit Oxapampa (Including Weather)

The rainy season is from November through March. Try to avoid those months. Torrential rains can make transportation to Oxapampa difficult.

When you go, bring sunblock, a hat, and repellant. The average temperature in Oxapampa is in the high-60s all year (17-18 C), so bring layers for cool nights and warm afternoons.

• The Festival of San Juan on June 23rd is the biggest party in the Central Jungle.
• Selvamanos is an increasingly popular music festival. Every year they have it in June or July.
• Octoberfest in Pozuzo is celebrated in September or October (date varies).

How to Get There

Movil Tours and Cruz del Sur provide transportation from Lima to Oxapampa. Depending on the seat and when you buy it costs S/ 40 to 85. The ride takes about 10 hours.

I recommend getting a seat that reclines at least 160 degrees on an overnight bus, so you can sleep and don’t lose a day traveling!

The central jungle’s biggest city is a cool cultural tourism spot with tons of outdoor adventure options. I fell in love with an Oxapampina, then fell in love with “Oxa”.

I cannot recommended enough going to this slightly off-the-beaten path spot, as it might be the unexpected highlight of your trip .

1.- Iglesia Matriz Santa Rosa

Esta iglesia se considera como el principal edificio religioso de la zona, tiene una arquitectura muy peculiar, ya que fue construida a base de madera machihembrada, dándole un estilo espectacular y único. Si te preguntas qué visitar en Oxapampa, inicia por la iglesia.

Los turistas siempre vienen a visitarla para contemplar su belleza, añadiendo que su interior brinda una sensación de tranquilidad y paz.

Esta iglesia terminó de construirse en el año 1939, y se ubica en la Plaza de Armas de Oxapampa, un templo de suma importancia para la fe de las personas que habitan en este distrito.

2.- La Plaza de Armas

Se encuentra en la parte central de la ciudad, en ella construyeron un obelisco en el año 1959, que tiene una base octogonal, y tiene un significado, es el homenaje de los Pozucinos quienes fueron los fundadores de Oxapampa.

Los turistas que visitan esta plaza siempre lo hacen con la intención de conocer la historia y el sitio que tiene muchos años siendo un atractivo de esta ciudad, además de sacarse fotos y disfrutar de su verdor.

3.- Parque Nacional Yanachaga Chemillén

Un hermoso parque creado con una mágica intención. Venir a este lugar es disfrutar con las especies que se encuentran aquí, ya que algunas están en vía de extinción y otras en situaciones bastante vulnerables.

Hay numerosos tipos de aves y plantas, un lugar que ha sido protegido y conservado para el cuidado del ecosistema de fauna y flora silvestres, es un parque que debes visitar cuando viajes a Oxapampa, estarás rodeado de la naturaleza en su estado más puro.

4.- Catarata del Río Tigre

Una atracción turística muy popular en Perú, un hermoso escenario que nos brinda la naturaleza, tiene una caída de agua espectacular de aproximadamente 29 metros, habiendo un puente donde se puede apreciar mejor esta belleza, el cual se ha puesto recientemente, así que ve a disfrutarlo.

Para llegar a la catarata puedes hacerlo en carro o moto, y haces un recorrido corto a pie hasta el puente. Las vistas son increíbles y puedes visitarlo en todas las temporadas del año, cabe resaltar que en temporadas altas no es gratuito, sin embargo, la entrada es sumamente accesible.

El horario que está permitido ir es desde las 6 de la mañana hasta las 5 de la tarde, así que ya sabes, no puedes irte de Oxapampa sin antes ver este atractivo turístico.

5.- Cascada El León

Queda ubicada en Villa Rica, una provincia de Oxapampa, que destaca por su producción del café orgánico, y también por sus inigualables selvas. La Catarata El León tiene dos impresionantes caídas de agua, las cuales hacen unos pozos naturales en los cuales puedes nadar, bucear o simplemente, darte un baño para relajarte.

Tiene un clima que varía durante las diversas temporadas del año, pudiendo ser nublado o cálido, pero los mejores meses para visitar esta cascada son desde mayo hasta finales de septiembre, que se considera temporada seca.

El agua de esta cascada es superrica, ideal si piensas viajar para tener un día, relax, bien sea con pareja, amigos o familia, es un plan perfecto.

6.- Museo Vintage Años Dorados

Es una casa museo demasiado increíble y con mucha historia dentro de ella, se trata de una pareja de esposos a los cuales les apasiona coleccionar artefactos de los años 40, en adelante, y los exhiben.

Este lugar es realmente interesante, visitarlo consiste en ver todas las antigüedades, y además de ello observar el ambiente donde se encuentra ubicada esta hermosa casa, si eres un viajero curioso este sitio no puede estar fuera de tu plan de vacaciones.

7.- Tunqui Cueva

Si eres un aventurero visitar esta cueva será tu actividad en Oxapampa, ya que se trata de un lugar húmedo de piedra caliza, en sus paredes hay pequeñas plantitas, así como moho, y también figuras como la de una bruja.

En el interior de esta cueva habitan animales como murciélagos, lechuzas y demás que les gusta la oscuridad de la misma, así que si eres valiente para este tipo de situaciones no te lo puedes perder, ya que la pasarás increíble.

Una zona fundada por colonos alemanes y austriacos, tierras que fueron dadas por el gobierno peruano, es un lugar colorido, sus casas tienen figuras geométricas y además los negocios que existen allí tienen nombres extranjeros específicamente de Alemania, como Heidinger, Bottger, etc.

Un lugar hermoso para pasar un rato diferente y grato, además de disfrutar de su gastronomía puedes sentir en él dos países y culturas del mundo totalmente diferentes unidos en una sola zona de Perú, algo que es realmente increíble.

9.- Catarata La Bruja

También se encuentra en Villa Rica, con paisajes fenomenales, es un destino encantador que te dejará boquiabierto por su belleza. Si amas la vegetación y la naturaleza, este lugar es perfecto, ya que se encuentra rodeado totalmente de áreas verdes, perfecto para hacer turismo. SAB 25 JUL: LIMA – OXAPAMPA

20:00hrs Concentración en el lugar de embarque: Explanada del Museo de la Nación (Calle Comercio Cdra. 2)

20 :30hrs Partida en bus turístico privado con destino a la ciudad de la Merced (8 Hrs de viaje, aprox, Bus Full Equipo, Calefacción, Aire Acondicionado, Baño Químico, TV-DVD, Música, Micrófono, Snack a bordo)

DOM 26 JUL: OXAPAMPA CITY TOUR - TUNQUI CUEVA

AM: Llegada a OXAPAMPA (1800 msnm) e instalación en el hotel.

P.M .Inicio del recorrido guiado por el Valle y la ciudad, empezando por la PLAZA DE ARMAS , su IGLESIA SANTA ROSA inaugurada en 1940 con su típica construcción europea; el paseo de los colonos. Posteriormente tomaremos la ruta por el distrito de Chontabamba, visita al viejo molino de caña, donde degustaremos el HUARAPO (trago típico de la zona).También visitaremos la TUNQUI CUEVA , caverna con formaciones de estalactitas. Pernocte en Oxapampa.

LUN  27 JUL : COLONIA AUSTRO ALEMANA DE POZUZO

AM: Salida a POZUZO, primera colonia Austro – Alemana, distante a 3 horas de Oxapampa, en el camino observaremos las CATARATAS DE RAYANTAMBO y Torrebamba, surcadode ríos y montañas de exuberante vegetación. Llegada al distrito de Pozuzo (700 msnm) de clima cálido: zona ganadera por excelencia y donde predomina una población con rasgos netamente europeos. Conoceremos la PLAZA DE ARMAS, la IGLESIA SAN JOSE , ubicada frente al monumento de José Egg (fundador de la colonia); Visita al MUSEO FRANCISCO SCHAFFERRER (colección de objetos y fotografías de los primeros colonos). Apreciaremos las casas típicas, luego de una caminata llegaremos al PUENTE COLGANTE VOGT y al viejo trapiche de Caña de la familia Egg.

PM: Almuerzo típico en un recreo campestre (Libre), amenizado con música de la zona y danzantes tiroleses. También podrán montar a caballos y otras diversiones. Retorno a Oxapampa, Pernocte en Oxapampa.

MAR 28 JUL : OXAPAMPA – CATARATA RIO TIGRE – RANCHO RUFNER Desayuno Oxapampino Traslado hasta el punto indicado Luego realizaremos una caminata por un sendero de áreas verdes para apreciar la catara del río Tigre. Por la tarde podrán disfrutar de la programación por fiestas Patrias en el Rancho ruffner Municipal de Oxapampa. Almuerzo libre. Pernocte.

MIE 29 JUL : OXAPAMPA – LIMA

07:00Hrs Salida de retorno a Lima. Durante el recorrido apreciaremos a plena luz del día los diferentes pisos ecológicos que pasan por Oxapampa, La Merced, San Ramón y el valle florido de Tarma y Acobamba. Visitaremos Chanchamayo Highland planta procesadora productos de la zona café, Cacao, cítricos y otras variedades de productos, degustación gratuita (tragos, jugos, café etc.). Observación de la sorprendente formación del Río Perené. luego visitaremos a Pepelucho el roedor más grande del mundo Continuamos el recorrido hacia Puerto Yurinaki para luego de una breve caminata, conocer las encantadoras y sorprendentes Cataratas de Bayoz con sus múltiples piscinas naturales y Velo de la Novia con sus 65 metros de caída; relax en las cristalinas aguas y pozas naturales. Retorno para disfrutar de un delicioso almuerzo típico campestre. Nos trasladamos hacía en Puerto Chirani para realizar un paseo en bote a motor fuera de borda en el Río Perené. P.M. Inicio del recorrido guiado por el valle y la ciudad, empezando por la Plaza de Armas y la Iglesia Santa Rosa inaugurada en 1940 con su típica construcción europea y visita al Paseo de los Colonos.

Posteriormente tomaremos la ruta por el distrito de Chontabamba, visita al viejo molino de caña, donde degustaremos el huarapo (trago típico de la zona).

También visitaremos la Tunqui Cueva, caverna con formaciones de estalactitas.

Retorno a Oxapampa y traslado al hotel

Día 2: Oxapampa / Pozuzo / Oxapampa (D-A)

Desayuno en el Hotel.

AM: Salida hacia Pozuzo, primera colonia Austro - Alemana, distante a 3 horas de Oxapampa, (Box lunch en el transporte) en el camino observaremos las Cataratas de Rayantambo y Torrebamba, surcado de ríos y montañas de exuberante vegetación.

Llegada al distrito de Pozuzo (700 msnm) de clima cálido: zona ganadera por excelencia y donde predomina una población con rasgos netamente europeos. Conoceremos la Plaza de Armas y la Iglesia San José, ubicada frente al monumento de José Egg (fundador de la colonia); Visita al Museo Francisco Schaferrer (colección de objetos y fotografías de los primeros colonos).

Apreciaremos las casas típicas, luego de una caminata llegaremos al puente colgante Vogt y al viejo trapiche de Caña de la familia Egg.

2 PM: Almuerzo típico en un recreo campestre (Libre), amenizado con música de la zona y danzantes tiroleses. También podrán montar a caballos y otras diversiones.

Retorno a Oxapampa,

Pernocte en Oxapampa.

St. Petersburg – a Historical Gem

Do they speak English in St. Petersburg?

St Petersburg is Russia’s most western-leaning city and staff in city centre restaurants, hotels, shops and attractions can generally accommodate English speaking tourists. There are also English-speaking tourist police. The metro and bus service maps have English translations, and intercom announcements are also made in English. If you’d prefer to travel by taxi, the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber) works in multiple languages, although it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. Younger Russians are more likely to speak basic English than older Russians, but Google Translate is useful if you get completely stuck.

DIA 01: OXAPAMPA IN – CITY TOUR

Inicio del recorrido hacia el Distrito de Chontabamba. En este hermoso lugar visitará la Planta Procesadora de Lácteos “FLORALP” donde observará sus instalaciones y degustará los deliciosos derivados lácteos. Continuando con el recorrido subirá al Mirador “LA FLORIDA”, donde luego de una breve caminata, tendrá una espectacular vista panorámica de la ciudad de Oxapampa. El siguiente punto de visita será la “TUNQUI CUEVA”, lugar que pone el toque de aventura y misticismo al recorrido, ahí podrá observar las caprichosas formaciones de estalactitas, estalagmitas y diversas figuras que pondrán a trabajar la imaginación. Luego visitará el criadero artesanal de truchas “LA CUMBRE” donde apreciará las truchas en todo su ciclo de vida. Luego de unos minutos conocerá el trapiche “EL WHARAPO”, uno de los pocos que queda en el lugar lleno de mucha historia y tradición, observará todo el proceso para la producción del tradicional aguardiente de caña y de la bebida típica llamada guarapo. Siguiendo con el recorrido ingresará al corazón del Distrito de CHONTABAMBA lugar en el que conocerá su atractivo parque, su iglesia que tiene una arquitectura muy típica germánica y para finalizar llegará al puente colgante construido sobre el río Chorobamba, lugar donde se dará un refrescante chapuzón. Luego de haber visitado todos estos maravillosos lugares, retorno a la ciudad de Oxapampa. Alojamiento en Oxapampa.

DIA 02: COLONIA AUSTRO ALEMANA DE POZUZO

Desayuno. Partirá a la Colonia Austro-alemana de Pozuzo, en la ruta conocerá el Convento de QUILLAZÚ considerado como uno de los más antiguos de Selva Central. Al pasar por el Distrito de HUANCABAMBA conocerá su parque y los detalles peculiares de sus calles. Siguiendo el recorrido podrá apreciar la belleza de las cataratas de RAYANTAMBO y YULITUNQUI. Cruzaremos 17 km. del PARQUE NACIONAL YANACHAGA CHEMILLEN, este tramo es espectacular por su abundante flora y muchas veces se puede observar algunos animales silvestres donde resalta el GALLITO DE LAS ROCAS. Al llegar a POZUZO traslado hacia las Pozas de GUACAMAYO, donde disfrutará de un refrescante baño en sus cristalinas aguas. Continuará el viaje y traslado hacia el Barrio de PRUSIA para conocer su hermoso parque y su iglesia típica. Al llegar a la ciudad de Pozuzo hará un breve City Tour visitando: La Iglesia Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, La Plaza de Armas, El Cementerio de Los Colonos, El Museo Schafferer, El Puente Colgante Emperador Guillermo I desde donde realizará una breve caminata de 15 minutos aproximadamente. Por un hermoso sendero para llegar a un mirador donde apreciará la bella ciudad de Pozuzo. Ya de salida visitará la fábrica de Cerveza artesanal, ahí conocerá el proceso para la elaboración del mismo. Retorno a Oxapampa. Alojamiento en Oxapampa.
