Exclusions and Extras:

UPGRADE your tour to include Dolphin Up-Close + Feeding for an additional $100/person. The total experience lasts about 30 minutes with approximately 15-minutes of direct dolphin interaction.

UPGRADE your tour to include Sharks Up-Close + Feeding for an additional $55/person. The total experience lasts about 2o minutes with approximately 10minutes of shark interaction.

Any guests under 2 that would like to participate in the animal encounters will need to purchase an upgrade.

Approximately 6 hours total. Please note that Orlando traffic conditions can vary widely while I-4 is under construction. This tour typically operates all year.

Cancellation Policy:

You may receive a full or partial refund by notifying us via email at [email protected] of the cancellation. Refunds can be issued for cancellations received at least 30 days in advance of the starting time and date of your tour. Cancellation from 30 days to 14 days from the tour date will result in a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days are not eligible for refunds. Enjoy the fun and education of SeaWorld the stress-free way with the Ultimate VIP Tour, a private experience now offered at the company’s Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio parks.

Your Dream Day at SeaWorld

During SeaWorld’s Ultimate VIP Tour, a guide will escort your party (and only your party) around the park for a deluxe visit. You’ll skip the line at every ride, sit in a reserved area at every show, and participate in multiple animal encounters. Before your arrival, you’ll log into the VIP Concierge, where you can customize your itinerary for your dream day SeaWorld.

The Ultimate VIP Tour also includes preferred parking, food, and PhotoKey downloads. Plus, photographers will be onhand all day to snap your pics.

The SeaWorld Ultimate VIP Tour is the park’s first tour of its kind in 50 years.

SeaWorld Orlando Ultimate VIP Tour - Is it Worth it?

For our first year on the road, we decided to Winter in Florida. As I have mentioned in previous blogs, we didn’t do a whole lot of research before hitting the road fulltime as a family of 4 plus a pup. We were letting our intuition guide the way.

We really wanted to spend the holidays in the Florida Keys and that is what landed us in Florida for the winter.

We originally planned to spend October to January in Florida and then head to Texas, but we soon changed our plans and stayed in Florida until March.

Knowing we would be there for quite a few months, and several of them being in the Orlando area, we had some decisions to make.

Orlando has always had a special place in my heart. We visited often when I was a kid for gymnastics competitions, softball tournaments and to visit family. My Aunt loved Disney, her house could have been a little mini Disney museum!

So, when we arrived, the conversations began about whether or not to do Disney annual passes, or whether we would visit Disney, Universal, water parks, and SeaWorld.

At the time we had a 2 year old and 7 year old that are really into animals, so we landed on doing SeaWorld Platinum annual passes (blog coming in the future about the different annual passes).

I have been in the travel industry since I was 17 years old, and I have really enjoyed luxury and VIP experiences. I am all about creating incredible experiences, so when I saw that SeaWorld had a VIP Tour, I had to know more!

Let’s dive into if the SeaWorld Orlando Ultimate VIP Tour is worth it!

Haha, no, but really I could leave it at that.

It is an absolute YES! For me and the entire family!

After booking our Platinum Annual passes, we chose a day for our Ultimate VIP Tour. I couldn’t believe that this tour starts at just $600 per person, and kids under 3 are free! In comparison to other VIP tours that we have done, this seemed too good to be true, but with the 20% discount we would receive from being Platinum pass holders and Harper being free it was a no brainer for us.

Upon arrival, we were met by our Tour Guide and given Priority Access to the park. I love skipping the lines I am not sure if this comes from being a kid with an end of the alphabet last name or from the fact that my dad started the VIP tradition from an early age, so this was a great perk to start the day!

We were met by our incredible, knowledgeable tour guide, Emilee, who had already prepped an itinerary for our day based on our requests and with enough room for flexibility and fun.

We started with a family picture at the entrance sign and then headed to our first animal encounter. Oh, I hadn’t mentioned that yet, huh. Of course SeaWorld’s Ultimate VIP Tour includes Animal Encounters, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 animal encounters!

With the SeaWorld Ultimate VIP Tour, you get a private guide, but for animal encounters, sometimes there will be additional groups that are also on VIP tours that will be a part of the animal encounter with you. On this day, we just happened to be the only VIP tour in the park. Just another special gift!

We started with getting to see the Sea Lions. A couple of Sea Lions came out to greet us, we learned their names and some fun facts about them. Talk about a fun homeschool lesson! They talked to us, barking loudly and we got to pet them and take pictures with them. All of us were smiling from ear to ear and the day had just begun!

Next, we would be heading into cooler temperatures for a behind the scenes encounter with the Penguins. Surprisingly, the kids were a little more reluctant with the Penguin encounter. It may have been the cold air, or the instructions to pet them in a specific spot with only two fingers, but even with the chilly air, Log warmed up to one of the Penguins even if he was still a little nervous.

Again, it wasn’t just a come, see, pet. It was a full experience with fun facts being shared.

I keep thinking that I am going to say, “next came my favorite part”, but I honestly am not sure what my favorite part was!

Next on the itinerary was the Orca Show. Another great benefit of the Ultimate VIP Tour is that you get reserved prime seating at shows! This allows you to enjoy more of your day, because you don’t have to arrive early to get seats or worry that the show may be full if you arrive too late. Plus, they truly are the best seats in the house!

The show was out of this world! Again, what I love is that it isn’t just a show to show off the animals, they talk about the animals and the efforts we all can make to create a positive impact on the planet for all beings!

It was now time to grab some food! No detail has been overlooked in this tour! Included in your Ultimate VIP Tour is lunch at SeaWorld’s upscale restaurant, Sharks Underwater Grill. Our family doesn’t eat out much because of the foods we avoid, and most of those foods we avoid are on our absolutely don’t eat list because at least one of us has a bad reaction to them in some way. SeaWorld hit the mark again. The server was understanding and beyond helpful. We enjoyed an amazing meal while watching 20 species of sharks swim past us. (And yes, this is the only photo I got at lunch LOL)

Now with a full belly, we were ready to go explore some more! Our guide ate at a nearby table, we invited her to join us, but she had a couple things to check in on, so she was ready as soon as we were.

We had one more encounter, which was the Dolphin encounter. Logan and Harper are in love with Dolphins, I mean they are in love with a lot of marine animals, but Dolphins definitely have a place in their hearts. The Dolphin encounter was nothing short of spectacular! It was short and it was not an in-water experience, but it was a great first experience for the kids interacting with these beautiful creatures.

The rest of the day was filled with anything the kids wanted and one thing that was really important to mommy (me) the SeaWorld Rescue! Conservation, sustainability, rescue are all things super close to my heart, so a behind the scenes tour of the rescue was definitely on my list of must see during this tour!

For the kids their final wants were going to feed the Stingrays, which is always a favorite of theirs. Our amazing tour guide was sure to get the kids lots of shrimp to feed the Stingrays. They also got to pet a small Shark.

We also went to see the manatees, which were our tour guides favorite marine animal and soon to be a favorite of Logan’s. What we didn’t know is how much this gentle giant would be in our life moving forward as we explored Florida and the Florida Keys in the months to follow.

Last, we had to spend time on Sesame Street!

Located just off Interstate 4 and the Beachline Express, you’ll be welcomed by the easy going vibe of this aquatic park.

SeaWorld will invite you in with its Caribbean, Polynesian, and even Arctic themes felt throughout the park.

Upon entering the theme park, you’ll be treated with colorful flamingos and even baby dolphins with their mothers.

1. Get there early

Try to arrive 30-minutes prior to park opening. It’s the best way to maximize your day, especially if you’re trying to do it all in one day.

This year, everyone’s trying to get all the travel in that they haven’t been able to do in the past few years.

So, starting early is the only way to be able to see AND do all of the things you want at SeaWorld Orlando.

2. Dress appropriately

If you’re not native to the state, then you may not know that Florida’s weather is  mostly hot and humid  except for the beautiful months of December, January, February, and March.

Remember to wear light-weight clothing during the summertime in Florida to stay cool!

4. Know the Best Time to Go to SeaWorld

Go during the weekdays if you want to make the most of your time at the park.

This SeaWorld Orlando tip is especially important for anyone who is not a fan of huge crowds.

To prevent frustration, I suggest avoiding holidays, the weekends, and the summer. This is the time that both locals and tourists flood the park.

Map out the day prior to your visit by  downloading the SeaWorld app .

This is a great way to make a note of your must-do’s and is also a wonderful way to help you see and experience as much as you can if you’re only there for a short visit.

Try to get to SeaWorld early and park in the regular parking section . The parking situation at SeaWorld isn’t terrible.

Wherever you end up parking, the walk to the front gate shouldn’t be bad at all.

The Sharks Underwater Grill serves delicious seafood, but I’m a bigger fan of sitting at the bar and enjoying the peacefulness of watching the sharks glide while I sip on my adult beverage.

Explore SeaWorld and learn about the many different animals in this park. There’s a wide variety of sea life all within the gates.

Many of the animals are tough to see in your lifetime, so I love how SeaWorld makes sure they educate you on each animal residing in the park.

The shows starting from the front of the gate are usually scheduled shortly after each other from the front to back of the park.

I recommend starting with a show towards the latter part of the part to avoid the crowd.

Each show is a mix of animal training, high-energy performance, and education. You’ll want to get there early to secure your perfect spot!

16. Take Breaks and Explore

SeaWorld Orlando has so many nooks and crannies with opportunities to chat with team members.

You’ll love just exploring what they have to offer and I guarantee you will leave there with some kind of new information you learned.

Hipster Power Tip: Take an AC break in places such as Antarctica: Empire of the Penguins exhibit, Wild Arctic walk-through, Manta Aquarium and the Shark Encounter.

SeaWorld has two main water attractions for you to enjoy on your visit.

Journey to Atlantis

This exciting flume roller coaster hybrid allows you to travel through dark, watery passageways inside the sunken city before being thrown down a thrilling plunge into the waters below.

Infinity Falls

SeaWorld’s Infinity Falls will have you rushing through the rapids as you climb aboard your raft for a journey of discovery down a lost jungle river.

According to SeaWorld, you will plunge down the tallest drop of its kind into churning whitewater ending your adventure at Harmony Village.

Hipster Power Tip: Be prepared by bringing a change of clothes (maybe just a shirt), so that you’re not walking around in wet clothes.

He explained the process, answered my questions, and sent me a survey so they could build my preliminary itinerary. Once it is about a week out they'll finalize it. The guide *may* ride any rides requested so he put that in my requests since not all will ride. DD is the only one who might want to do the coasters, so it would be nice if the guide would. No big deal if not. I suspect that SW is going to be the highlight of our 10 night trip to Disney. We love Disney, but have a bit of burnout and needed something different to do for a day!

Our itinerary is set with meet n greets with a dolphin, killer whale, sea lion, and penguin. Special show seating, meals (the underwater shark place and quick service), snacks, and rides. The guide will ride with my daughter. I am excited for this!

So we did the tour. Very fluid in the gaps between meet and greets with animals and the shows. Parked VIP, first to go through security, and the check in office is right there. Your guide scans you in a back door and you are off. Highlights - VIP seating at Dolphin, Orcas, and Sea Lion shows - We touched/fed sea lions, dolphins, and sting ray. Touched the penguins. Up close to the Orcas. -Professional pics included at some of the stops, but guide took a million on my phone. -3 course meal with the sharks was actually decent. Vouchers for quick service meal after tour. We brought home a zillion drinks and snacks that were included. - Front of line for any ride - Fast paced and we were beat by the end, but a great day - Tour guide was nice and knowledgeable This is a one and done, but we enjoyed it. The park was DEAD so we could have done most on our own, but the animal interaction was really cool.

Dog Days of Summer: Locals are welcome to bring their dogs to this family-friendly event where there will be free dog washes. She Fest:  Workshops, community-building activities, vendors, performers and more are all part of She Fest 2024. The social event focuses on empowering LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people by bringing together LGBTQ+ small businesses, community leaders and artists. Drag show:  RuPaul’s Drag-a-licious massive drag show returns to San Diego.
