À La Défense, une grue menace de tomber de la tour Hopen, des immeubles évacués

La structure de la grue a littéralement plié, ce lundi. Le grutier a été évacué sans encombre et les immeubles alentours ont été évacués.

Les photos qui circulent sur les réseaux sociaux sont impressionnantes. On y voit le haut d’une grue littéralement pliée en deux au-dessus de la tour Hopen à La Défense , sur la commune de Puteaux. Une grue utilisée dans le cadre de la réhabilitation complète de cet immeuble anciennement appelé tour Adria ou tour Technip, du nom de l’entreprise qui a longtemps occupé les étages.

Cette grue, dont la flèche culminait à 200 mètres de haut ne reposait pas au sol mais sur la terrasse du 26e étage de la tour. « Il n’y a eu aucun blessé », souligne la préfecture des Hauts-de-Seine. Le grutier, de son côté, a ainsi été évacué sans dommage, selon la brigade des sapeurs-pompiers de Paris (BSPP) dont le Groupement de reconnaissance et d’intervention en milieux périlleux ( Grimp ) a été dépêché sur place.

L’incident, dont on ignore l’origine, s’est produit vers 17 heures. « Un architecte de sécurité a été appelé pour vérifier l’état de la structure, déterminer les causes de l’accident et trouver une solution », explique-t-on à la préfecture des Hauts-de-Seine.

Un périmètre de sécurité a été dressé autour de l’immeuble concerné, aux frontières des territoires de Courbevoie et Puteaux. « Les bâtiments situés sous la tour, notamment le pôle universitaire Léonard-de-Vinci et l’entreprise RTE, ont été évacués » précise la préfecture. Une évacuation, qui s’est déroulée dans le plus grand des calmes, sans aucun mouvement de panique. « Certains étaient limite amusés de voir la grue dans cet état, relate un habitué du quartier, témoin de la scène. Beaucoup prenaient même le temps de faire des photos. »

Il faut dire que ce genre d’accidents est rarissime. Dans le quartier d’affaires de La Défense, les fidèles des lieux estiment que le dernier remonte à la violente tempête de 1999. Lors de cet épisode, deux grues avaient été couchées par le vent.

Chantier de la tour Hopen : sous l’effet du vent la flèche de la grue se plie sur elle-même

C’est un accident rarissime qu’a connu le chantier de rénovation de la tour Hopen , l’ex-tour Adria occupée par TechnipFMC jusqu’à son déménagement en 2021 . Ce lundi, vers 16h30, une forte rafale de vent a littéralement retourné l’immense flèche métallique de la grue perchée au 26eme étage du building haut d’environ 170 mètres. Bien que spectaculaire, l’accident n’a fait heureusement aucune victime parmi les ouvriers du chantier réalisé par le groupe Eiffage.

Selon nos informations, deux ouvriers effectuaient une opération de maintenance sur la grue à flèche relevable qui n’était pas en activité au moment de l’accident. Lorsque la flèche de cinquante-cinq mètres s’est pliée sur elle-même, elle était totalement à la verticale. Quelques éléments sont alors tombés bruyament en contre-bas.

D’importants moyens de secours ont été dépêchés sur place pour établir un vaste périmètre de sécurité. Face au risque de voir la flèche « pendouillante » se détacher et s’écraser au sol, les immeubles voisins, à savoir le Triangle de l’Arche, le Palatin, le Vinci et le Pôle Léonard de Vinci ont été évacués dans le calme.

« Il y a eu gros bruit. On a vu la flèche qui était tordue », explique Nassim, salarié dans l’immeuble Palatin. « L’alarme a sonné et on nous a demandé d’évacuer notre immeuble », confie Quentin, un salarié de MASCF, visiblement amusé de cette fin de journée mouvementée.

Le Groupe de Reconnaissance et d’Intervention en Milieu Périlleux (GRIMP) de la BSPP a été appelé en urgence pour s’assurer que la flèche de la grue puisse se maintenir en attendant d’être enlevée, probablement à l’aide d’un hélicoptère ou d’une grue mobile.

Bien que rare, ce n’est pas la première fois qu’un tel événement se produit dans le quartier d’affaires. En 1999, lors de la tempête deux grues s’étaient effondrées sous l’effet du vent, là encore, sans causer de victime . En octobre 1987, une grue servant à l’édification de la Grande Arche s’était également écrasée au sol après une violente tempête .

La Défense : la tour Adria se restructure et devient la tour Hopen

Primonial REIM France lance à La Défense les travaux de restructuration de la tour Adria, vouée à être rebaptisée tour Hopen.  Construite en 2001 à proximité immédiate de l’Esplanade, la tour Adria se refait une beauté. Renommée tour Hopen, elle sera livrée en 2024. Historiquement louée à TechnipFMC, elle a été acquise en 2013 dans le cadre d’un Club Deal d’investisseurs institutionnels géré par Primonial REIM France. A la suite de l’annonce du départ du locataire TechnipFMC dont la date effective était en juillet 2021, Primonial REIM France a proposé aux associés du fonds de redévelopper entièrement la tour. Concrètement, la tour Hopen sera réhaussée de trois étages, développant ainsi une surface de 65 000 m2, dont 58 000 m2 de surface de bureaux. Ce projet de restructuration a pour objectif de proposer aux futurs utilisateurs un immeuble mixte conforme aux meilleurs standards internationaux, tout en ouvrant de nouveaux espaces de vie aux habitants du quartier de La Défense en pied et en tête de tour. Le curage intérieur de la tour est d’ores et déjà terminé, et celui de la façade a été lancé en juin.  Une programmation mixte Hopen prévoit une programmation mixte, entre bureaux et espaces de vie : 58 000 m2 de bureaux accompagnés d’une salle de sport, et d’un espace bien- être ; 2 grandes terrasses panoramiques avec vues sur La Défense et l’Ouest parisien ; 23 jardins suspendus ; des services dont 2 restaurants dédiés aux collaborateurs des entreprises ; un auditorium ; des meeting centers ; des espaces de coworking ; des food-courts et cafés ; 5 200 m2 d’espaces ouverts au grand public dont 1 400 m2 dédiés aux associations, à la culture et aux loisirs et 2 350 m2 d’espaces réversibles selon les besoins futurs des utilisateurs de l’immeuble. Zéro carbone La tour a mis en place des politiques de réemploi des matériaux, une valorisation des déchets et instauré un objectif zéro plastique. Elle vise à obtenir les certifications environnementales HQE et BREEAM Excellent, ainsi que les labels Well Gold, Well HSR et Ready to Osmoz. Ce sera également la première Tour tertiaire à mettre en place un « responsable RSE », garant du respect des objectifs relatifs au développement durable fixés chaque année. La Défense : une grue se plie en deux, une partie du quartier évacué

Une grue installée sur le toit d'un immeuble en travaux du quartier de La Défense s'est pliée en deux lundi après-midi. L'incident n'a fait aucun blessé. Une partie du secteur reste bouclé ce mardi.

Une grue entièrement repliée sur elle-même. La scène impressionnante s'est produite ce lundi après-midi dans le quartier de La Défense, à Courbevoie près de Paris. La grue, installée sur le chantier de la tour Hopen (anciennement tour Adria) s'est pliée en deux, sans doute sous l'effet d'une rafale de vent, indique à France Bleu Paris un porte-parole de la brigade des sapeurs-pompiers de Paris (BSPP).

"Nous sommes intervenus pour écarter tout risque. Des cordistes du groupe d'intervention en milieu périlleux ont été dépêchés sur place et le grutier a été évacué" , précise cette source. Personne n'a été blessé.

Suite à cet incident, un large périmètre de sécurité a été mis en place. Plusieurs immeubles, ainsi que le pôle universitaire Léonard de Vinci ont été évacués, soit environ 3.000 personnes indique à France Bleu Paris une porte-parole de la préfecture des Hauts-de-Seine.

Ces bâtiments sont toujours inaccessibles ce mardi. Le "périmètre de sécurité est   maintenu pour des raisons de précaution et jusqu'à nouvel ordre",  fait savoir la préfecture. "Les expertises se poursuivent pour à la fois déterminer ce qui s'est passé et les mesures à prendre".

Adria Arjona just hard launched her relationship with fellow actor Jason Momoa. In an Instagram carousel, the Aquaman actor posted pictures with Adria during their trip to Japan. The couple starred in Netflix movie  Sweet Girl , which was released in 2021. Jason divorced Lisa Bonet in 2022, while Adria was previously married to Puerto Rican lawyer Edgardo Canales.

With the movie out on the popular streaming service, many fans want Adria and Glen to be in more films as a couple. One fan wrote on X, “the chemistry between glen powell and adria arjona in hit man…. phew! truly something else. can they please make ten more movies together thank you!” We hope so too!

With “Hit Man,” the actor has certainly landed on her feet. The critically acclaimed crowd-pleaser is the latest from prolific Texan director Richard Linklater and has already become a breakthrough project for Arjona’s rising profile in Hollywood.

“I find her amazing,” said Linklater, describing Arjona as a “wonderfully smart and hard-working collaborator from the first rehearsal until her last shot of production.”

In the film, Glen Powell plays a psychology professor who works for a police department undercover, pretending to be a killer for hire. Arjona plays Madison, who seeks out his services to eliminate her abusive husband. The two become entangled in a high-stakes, morally complicated, fiery relationship.

The daughter of famed Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona, she was born in Puerto Rico to a Boricua mother but spent her childhood in Mexico City when not on the road with her touring father.

“It’s a funny little debate that happens online,” Arjona says. “Everyone is like, ‘She’s Guatemalan’ or ‘She’s Puerto Rican,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m very much both and I carry my two flags very high up. I can’t pick.”

Despite growing up around music, Arjona was never inclined to follow in her father’s footsteps. “I can’t sing! I would’ve embarrassed our last name,” she said, jokingly.

“I’ve always thought my dad’s job is coolest job in the world, but I wanted to do something different. I rebelled against music, and got away from it. If I’m honest with you, it’s a pretty big regret of mine now.”

As a teenager, Arjona’s family relocated to Miami. Struggling to adjust to her new environment, she began taking acting classes on her father’s suggestion. Performing, she says, helped her come out of her shell.

“If I don’t hide behind a character, it’s really hard for me to perform or be the center of attention,” she said. “I feel comfortable putting on a costume and being on stage, but I could never, and I still can’t speak in public. I had to give a speech for Glen a couple of weeks ago when we were in Austin, and I was trembling like a chihuahua.”

As an adult, Arjona moved to New York to study at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, working as a waitress to pay her bills.

“I feel really lucky that I have a father who gave me the biggest gift in the world, which is not giving it all to me. He made that a point in raising me and my siblings,” she said. “He grew up really poor in Guatemala and he had to work to get to where he is.”

Arjona initially tried to break into theater but felt there wasn’t much space for a Latin American actress. She decided to try her luck in film and television instead, landing a small part after her first audition. Over the last decade, Arjona has built up her resume by landing parts in high-profile productions.

Among her most notable films are the Netflix action movies “6 Underground” and “Triple Frontier” — in the latter, she shared the screen with another actor with Guatemalan roots, Oscar Isaac. Arjona was also cast as bride-to-be Sofia Herrera in the 2022 Latino remake of “Father of the Bride” and portrays mechanic Bix Caleen in “Star Wars: Andor.”

“Getting the jobs wasn’t hard, but it was getting the roles that really served me as an actress that’s been the struggle,” she said. “I want to show the world that a Latin American woman has so many dimensions and we can be so many things.”

Arjona says she is now at the point in her career where she is being offered opportunities she wouldn’t have gotten a few years back. She recalls Linklater telling her she was the only person he spoke to for the role of Madison in “Hit Man.”

“We were nervous because Madison demanded so many qualities in one person,” said Linklater. “Smart, funny, vivacious, mysterious, and of course so smoking hot you’d totally believe somebody would risk everything they had and had worked for all their life, including their potential freedom, just to be with. Adria is all those things.”

Forget Call Jacob, Sweet James and Accidentes. Thanks to Netflix’s new marketing campaign, ‘Hit Man’ star Glen Powell is L.A.’s reigning billboard king.

After meeting Arjona over video call, the filmmaker arranged for her to connect with Powell, who also co-wrote the screenplay. The two actors got along so well that by the end of their five-hour dinner, they had broken their “dry January” vows by drinking tequila.

“Glen was like, ‘Can we please do this together? I want you to be Madison,” she said.

Within days Arjona was on Zoom with Linklater and Powell writing Madison’s part.

“That’s how Rick works. He invites the actors into the collaborative process and you’re in the writer’s room with him and you’re creating your character with your director, and your co-star. You’re writing lines, you’re pitching ideas,” she said. “That’s never happened to me.”

The process gave Arjona a creative autonomy and ownership over her character that she believes were crucial for her to craft and ultimately understand Madison’s personality.

“I loved the idea that she was constantly role-playing. She’s this woman that is seeking reinvention at every turn of the page. She’s her own idea of a femme fatale, but she’s not a femme fatale,” Arjona said. “She’s playing a character within being a character. And that I found really interesting and had a lot of fun playing that.”

For Arjona, “Hit Man” represented an opportunity to truly show off her acting chops.

“Thanks to this movie I feel just so much more confident of what I can bring to the table,” she says. “Rick and Glen did that for me.”

And what’s next? Arjona is slated to star in “El Sobreron,” the new genre tale from Guatemalan auteur Jairo Bustamante. Later this year, she can also be seen in the thriller “Blink Twice,” opposite Channing Tatum. Her strategy of not having a set plan seems to be paying off for her, successfully avoiding being pigeonholed by an industry that still has a limited view of who Latinos are.

“I’m so much more than where I was born. I have it in my veins. I carry that with me proudly, but I’m also a human,” she said. “You are your experiences, and being a Latina is definitely part of my experience, but there’s also a lot more. I’m just a woman.”

Adria Arjona on ‘Hit Man’ and How the Production Surprised Her

The actress, who stars with Glen Powell, said that with the contract-killer movie, her ideas were finally valued in a writers’ room.

Adria Arjona doesn’t like doing what she’s told.

The co-star of the new Netflix romantic action comedy “ Hit Man ,” Arjona accompanied her father, the Guatemalan Mexican singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona, on tour from the time she was young. It was a musical mentorship opportunity, so she ended up deciding early on: Music was out.

He also made her read the poems of Pablo Neruda and the work of Gabriel García Márquez, so naturally, she said, all she wanted to do was listen to ’N Sync.

“I do everything backwards,” Arjona, 32, said on a recent weekday morning over sparkling water at the Whitby Bar in Midtown Manhattan. “That’s just my personality — I just listen to my intuition. It’s not like I’m doing it on purpose or trying to be rebellious.”

In “Hit Man,” directed by Richard Linklater, Arjona is Madison Masters, a desperate housewife who tries to hire a hit man, played by Glen Powell , unaware he’s a police operative. The rapturously reviewed movie is the latest entry in a 12-year-long acting career that has suddenly become white hot.

She broke out in 2022 as the mechanic Bix Caleen in the streaming “Star Wars” series “Andor,” playing Cassian Andor’s fearless friend. (Season 2 of the Disney+ series, which she’s finished filming, is expected next year.) She also appeared as the betrothed daughter in the 2022 reboot of “Father of the Bride,” after roles in “Pacific Rim: Uprising” and Season 2 of “True Detective.”

But it was only with “Hit Man,” she said, that a director truly seemed to value her input.

“As a Latin American actress, I feel like I’ve often made myself smaller. Like, ‘I’m so lucky to be here; I don’t want to ruffle things too much,’” said Arjona, who was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and lived in Mexico City until she was 12. “But Rick made me feel like, ‘Don’t make yourself smaller, you’re so much bigger.’”

During an hourlong conversation, in which Arjona, a former dancer, sat with her legs tucked beneath her on a sofa, watching passers-by outside the window, she was relaxed, casual and quick to laugh.

She discussed her differences with Linklater, where you might be able to catch her onstage and what her father thinks of her latest hobby. These are edited excerpts from the conversation.

“Hit Man” looks like it was so much fun to make. Was it?

It was! I’d never worked with Rick, but I always loved how actors in his movies had all this beautiful, philosophical, intellectual banter that felt improvised. And then I met Rick, and he hates improv. Every decision is made in a rehearsal, so once you get to set it makes the process a lot more fun. He really made me believe my ideas were important — that I had good ideas — and a lot of them ended up in the movie.

What was an idea that you pitched for Madison?

There’s a lot of dialogue that’s very much mine — ours; it was a collaboration between Rick and I. One day in rehearsal, I was like, “You know, Anohni and the Johnsons, they have this live concert, and in one of the songs she starts talking about how the moon can affect the oceans and not affect us.” And Rick and I had this whole conversation about how there’s no way that that could be it, and it ended up in the movie — that’s the conversation me and Glen have as we’re going into the club.

Even the sex scenes — you have no say as a female actor what those scenes are going to entail. But because I was in the writers’ room, I had a lot of say in what we were going to do and how we were going to do it. I was impressed that a filmmaker of that caliber would be like, “What do you want to do?”

Glen Powell has told the story of your first meeting lasting five hours over shots of tequila during Dry January. How did it start off?

The way Rick tells the story, I was the only girl, but he didn’t tell me this. This is Richard Linklater we’re talking about. He was like, “I really want you to meet Glen,” and — I don’t know this — but it’s really for Glen to be like, “This is or isn’t the girl.” So I get to the restaurant, we’re both doing Dry January and we hit it off right away. He’s a special human who comes from a really beautiful family. In his head he’s like, “She’s the girl, she’s the girl, she’s the girl,” and he was like, “I have to tell you, I want to do this movie with you.” Glen says, “I feel like I said I love you too early.”

What appealed to you about Madison?

I fell in love with the idea of Madison that was in the script — it was kind of her trajectory, but not her soul, and they were looking for someone to come in and bring something to it. I loved that I couldn’t pinpoint what she was going to do next. She’s not perfect, and she’s constantly trying to play this fantasy — a fantasy for herself, a fantasy for him, a fantasy of what a femme fatale is, because she’s definitely not a femme fatale; she’s her own idea of a femme fatale that she’s creating for herself. I was fascinated by that. I cannot be more opposite to Madison.

I’m on the shyer and quirkier side. I’m also not a murderer! Madison is also a little more strategic than I am — I don’t make a lot of strategic decisions like “Ooh, this movie is going to make me into a star, and then I’m going to do that movie” — my brain doesn’t function like that. Sometimes I wish it did.

You have “ Blink Twice ,” Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut, coming up in August. You’re in the Amazon Prime series “Criminal.” And you’re starring in and executive produced “Los Frikis,” inspired by true events about teenagers who inject themselves with H.I.V. to escape the oppression of 1990s Cuba. Is there more?

Season 2 of “Andor” is coming out hopefully next year. I think people are going to freak when they see it. It’s so much bigger, smarter — Tony [Gilroy, the showrunner] really outdid himself. And then I have “ El Sombreron ,” which is the first time I’m going to be working with a Guatemalan director and filming in my home country — I’m half Guatemalan, half Puerto Rican, and I feel very much half and half. There’s a big debate on the internet over whether I’m Puerto Rican or Guatemalan, and I’m very much both. You live in a limbo when you’re mixed. If I go home, they’re like, “You’re not 100 percent Guatemalan,” and when I come here, they’re like, “You’re not American,” even though I’ve lived here a big chunk of my life. And then I go to Puerto Rico, where I was born, and they’re like, “But are you Puerto Rican?” I’m a little bit of everything. People need to leave me the [expletive] alone.

What has it been like to be involved in a “Star Wars” series, with a fan base that scrutinizes even the tiniest details?

It definitely affects you — I’m not going to lie — because you spend so much time creating something and then someone can bash it in three seconds. But I really try not to pay attention to it. I have no control over it.

You were a dancer in middle school and high school. Would you ever want to return to the stage?

I really want to go! There’s a theater opportunity in Miami I might do this fall; it’s a one-woman show called “The Second Woman.” The idea of being in a theater is just so beautiful. When I was studying at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in New York and auditioning for theater, there weren’t that many opportunities for Latin American actresses — Horton Foote or Tennessee Williams plays were all white women, and they weren’t that open to hiring outside of that, at least when I was auditioning. Now, it’s very different.

What are your hobbies when you aren’t acting?

I love boxing. I feel like I could be a contractor in my next life; I love fixing stuff, roofing, plastering walls. I’m also picking up the guitar now that no one’s telling me to! My dad is not happy — he’s like, “Are you kidding me, dude? I begged you to play when you were a kid, and now you want to play?”
