Plan de la Tour. Ländliche Villa mit Klimaanlage auf einem ausgedehnten Gelände mit großem beheiztem Pool und Tischtennisplatte, für 6 Personen. Von hieraus sind inmitten von Natur aber trotzdem schnell an der Küste. Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen.

Diese schöne Villa liegt etwas außerhalb des wunderschönes Dorfes Plan de la Tour (3 km) und nur etwa 10 km vom Badeort Sainte Maxime (15 min) entfernt, und ist von einer schönen Natur mit Weinbergen umgeben. Durch die prächtige Aussicht auf das Massif ist es ein großartiger Ort für Spaziergänge. Mehrere schöne Strände sind nur ca. 15 entfernt (Golfe de St Tropez). Die Villa befindet sich auf einem 4500 m2 großen, umzäunten Gelände, mit einem schön angelegten Garten mit automatischer Bewässerung. Durch die verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten kommen sowohl Sonnen- als auch Schattenliebhaber zu ihrem Recht. Eine gemütliche Hängematte ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Der neben dem Haus angelegte Boule-Platz bietet die nötige Entspannung. Der Pool ist beheizt und 10 x 5 Meter gross. Es gibt 3 große Terrassen rund um das Haus, davon ist 1 überdacht und angrenzend an die Küche; eine Terrasse befindet sich vor dem Wohnzimmer und verfügt über einen großen Gartentisch, und eine Terrasse liegt vor dem Wohnzimmer am Pool. Die Terrassen sind mit Sitzmöbeln, Loungeset ausgestattet und am Pool befinden sich drei Aluminium Sonnenliegen. Es gibt eine Außendusche mit Quellwasser (kaltes Wasser über Gartenschlauch angeschlossen) am Pool. In der Nähe des Pools befindet sich, an einen schattigen Ort mit Blick auf den Wald, noch eine überdachte Terrasse (casebo), ein herrlicher kühler Ort für die heißen Tage. Draussen steht ein Gasgrill zur Verfügung und drinnen einen Herd mit zwei Backöfen (Gas und Strom), einen 6-Flammen-Gasherd und eine Grillplatte. Es gibt eine Außentischtennisplatte.

Das Wohnzimmer und das Esszimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet und mit einem großen Esstisch, einem großen Ledersofa, bequemen Stühlen und einem Kaminofen ausgestattet. Dieser Teil des Hauses ist außerdem klimatisiert. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen Flachbild-Fernseher mit Empfang internationaler Kanälen (Canal Digital), DVD-Player, iPod-Dockingstation und Playstation 3. Im ganzen Haus steht eine WLAN-Verbindung zur Verfügung. Im Esszimmer steht ein großer Familien-Esstisch. Die Küche ist mit allen Annehmlichkeiten versehen und verfügt u.a. über einen 6-Flammen-Gasherd und zwei Backöfen, Mikrowelle, Nespresso und Filterkaffee, Pizza-Platte, eine Spülmaschine und einen großen Kühlschrank mit großem Gefrierfach. Darüber in den Küchenschränken finden Sie einen Tischgrill, eine Küchenmaschine und Tostiapparat. Im Haus steht Ihnen Stadtwasser (l’eau commune) zur Verfügung, damit eine zuverlässige Trinkwasserqualität gewährleist ist. Im Garten gibt es Wasser aus eigenem Brunnen. Das Haus bietet 3 Schlafzimmer, die jeweils mit Einbauschränken ausgestattet sind. 1 Zimmer mit je 2 Einzelbetten und 2 mit einem Doppelbett 1 x 1.80 x2,00m und 1 x 1,60x2,00. Alle Zimmer verfügen über Hartholz-Luken zum Schutz vor Licht und Hitze. Es gibt zwei Badezimmer. Eins mit einer separaten Toilette. Das andere, kleinere Badezimmer mit Dusche und WC. Die Garage wird für Lagerungszwecke verwendet und es gibt sowohl eine Waschmaschine als auch einen Trockner. Es steht ein extra Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach zur Verfügung. Schlafzimmer, Wohnzimmer und Esszimmer mit Klimaanlage.

Besonderheiten: Bettwäsche-Paket inkl. 1 Strandtuch, 2 große Handtücher, 2 mittelgroße Handtücher und Geschirrtücher € 15,- pro Person pro Wechsel. Endreinigung € 200, -. Kaution: € 700, - Poolheizung € 125 pro Woche ausser in den Monaten Juli und August. Haustiere auf Anfrage, bitte bei der Buchung das Alter und die Rasse angeben, Zuschlag € 50 pro Woche.

Ein wunderschönes Haus in einer wundervollen Lage! Wir waren total begeistert: ein schönes geräumiges Haus mit sehr guter Ausstattung, mitten in den Weinbergen gelegen (dadurch wehte immer ein angenehmes Lüftchen) und dennnoch in der Nähe von bekannten Orten wie Saint Tropez und Port Grimaud. Man kann hier wundervoll Ruhe mit Besichtigungen verbinden. Ganz besonders begeistert waren wir von dem genialen Pool, er ist beheizt auf dauerhafte 25 Grad und so groß - und auch am Ende so tief - , dass man sehr gut darin schwimmen oder Aquafitness machen kann. Auch hervorzuheben sind die wunderbaren Betten, noch nie zuvor haben wir im Urlaub so traumhaft gut geschlafen! Das Haus wird vor Ort von einen sehr netten, freundlichen und hilfsbereiten "Housesitter" betreut, der sogar sonntags kam, als es ein kleines Problem gab. 2 mal wöchentlich reinigt er sehr gründlich den Pool und steht für alle Fragen zur Verfügung. Auch die Besitzer des Hauses sind sehr lobenswert zu erwähnen, sie waren schon im Vorfeld äußerst freundlich und entgegenkommend und standen ebenfalls per WhatsApp jederzeit bei Fragen zur Verfügung. Alles in allem können wir nur sagen, dass wir begeistert waren von diesem wunderbaren Haus und es nur unbedingt empfehlen können (Freunde von uns wollen nach unserer Empfehlung auch schon auf jeden Fall dorthin fahren)! Auch unser kleiner Hund hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt und konnte in dem großen eingezäunten Garten frei herumlaufen.

Plan de la Tour ist ein kleiner, gemütlicher und authentischer Ort der von Weinbergen und Pinien- und Eichenwäldern umgeben ist. Es gibt mehrere gute Restaurants und Weinbauern. In der Nähe kann man wunderschöne Aussichten über die Hügel und Weinberge genießen. Und trotzdem befinden sich die lebendigen Orte St. Tropez und Ste Maxime in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die verschiedenen Terrassen sind sehr schön. Perfekt zum Entspannen. Der Gasgrill ist auch super.

Schönes Haus. Gute Küchenausstattung. Die Betten sind vernünftig. Satellit liefert nicht alle beschriebenen Kanäle. Darüber hinaus ist das Haus nicht wirklich in Plan de la Tour, es ist mit dem Auto mehr als 10 Minuten bis zum Dorf, und es ist nicht oder mit dem Fahrrad zu Fuß. Es wäre gut, in der Beschreibung zu integrieren. Praktisch, dass Sie den direkten Kontakt mit den Eigentümern haben kann. Dies war unser sechster Haus in Südfrankreich und ehrlich gesagt haben wir hatten immer ein vergleichbares oder besseres Haus zu einem niedrigeren Preis. Wie bereits erwähnt, ist das Preis / Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht gut.

Das Haus und die Umgebung perfekt. Nur schade, dass die Kaffeemaschine war kaputt Owner response: Kaffee wird ersetzt

Die Extras machen dieses Haus schön zu bleiben, wie Tischtennis, Weber Grill und Pool. Das Anwesen liegt in der Nähe der gemütlichen Plan de la Tour mit vielen Restaurants und einer ruhigen Lage. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge an die Küste.

From the Gulf, a narrow road winds through the cork oaks and crosses small passes before descending towards the plain where the village is rooted in the middle of the vineyards. This typically Provencal commune is lively and forward-looking, while respecting the riches of its land. Located in the heart of the Maures, near the sea, it strives to preserve an exceptional living environment.

At first glance, the village may seem modest, but it is pleasant to stroll through its streets and discover charming features such as the church bell tower, fountains, presbytery and traditional wells. Le Plan de la Tour is a place that cannot be visited, but can be discovered. This extensive territory presents a unique feature in the region: 25 discreet hamlets scattered among the steep hills. Each of these hamlets has its own character and way of life, which makes the discovery of these pearls with their delicious toponymy even more pleasant. For example, Les Brugassières, where heather grows, Le Préconil, Vallaury, Le Vernet, where alder grows, Prat Bourdin with its menhirs, Le Revest… As you walk along the rural paths, you can discover the wildlife and local flora, while following the traces of a past that goes back to prehistory. It is an enriching experience to live in all seasons.

WIDE NATURE, LAND OF DISCOVERY

Want a preview? The “Gorgues” trail is ideal. It is easy and accessible to all, and will allow you to discover the village as a whole: its vineyard, its hamlets, as well as two menhirs which stand on the edge of a stream. To the north of the village, the mining trail bears witness to past mining activity, with the extraction of lead and silver. By following this path, you will climb naturally from the plains to the tops of the surrounding hills. Another path connects La Garde-Freinet to San Peïre, via the Col de Vignon and the hills. At an altitude of 416 meters, one can better imagine this world apart, a true paradise for hiking, mountain biking, horse riding or even meditation. Everyone can choose their mode of transport to enjoy this exceptional environment.

The rhythm of the seasons is marked by numerous traditional festivals. In March, the Corso parades with floats decorated with white heather, coming from our hills (every other year). At the end of April, we celebrate olive plants and olive oil, as well as the retro car festival. In May, Saint-Pons blesses animals and agricultural equipment during the donkey festival. During the summer we look forward to the night markets, balls and Festival dans les Vignes shows. In September, when the grapes have ripened, we honor the cooked wine. And of course, Christmas is a special time when the hamlets are lit up, the lantern parade is prepared and the big vigil brings together all the inhabitants of the village around the cacho fue . Le Plan de la Tour is a village in the South, where a fraternal atmosphere reigns.

LET’S GO FOR A WALK

From the Tourist Office go down Place Foch to Place de l’Oranger then take Rue Saint-Martin to its square and its old well . Take rue Pasteur and stroll through the alleys up to Place Clemenceau where the hackberry trees bathe the church in their refreshing shade. At the old presbytery, take the porch towards rue de l’Horloge; view of the church bell tower. Go up Avenue du Général-Leclerc to the Foyer des Campagnes. To go further, a few hundred meters on the right discover the Emponse district, its cobbled streets and small squares.

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY

The village of Plan de la Tour was created in 1792 from the detachment of the eastern part of the Garde-Freinet. The most important hamlet then was that of Saint-Martin. In 1835, it expanded by more than a thousand hectares from the western part of Sainte-Maxime. Since the Neolithic period, men have left their traces there by the construction of menhirs (see the Gorgues circuit) and dolmens. In the Middle Ages, the different lordships which made it up belonged successively to the viscounts of Marseille, of the abbey of Saint-Victor, to the monks of Lérins and in the 13th century to the Cistercians of the abbey of Thoronet. Most of the twenty-five hamlets that make it up today correspond to the final phase of the reconquest of its territory, in the 16th century, by the monks of Thoronet.

• The Saint-Martin church and its campanile underwent a beautiful renovation in 2019. • The renovated old neighborhoods with their cobbled streets. • The 25 hamlets that make up the commune. • The menhirs of Prat Bourdin; follow the path on foot after the hamlet for 80 m, cross the ford, the first is located 40 m higher on the left and the second 70 m further on the right.

• Route de la Corniche des Crêtes: residential area on the edge of the Maures forest. Viewpoint over both the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Bay of Cavalaire (orientation table). And on the La Mole valley if you go up a little. In these woods: the ruined Peinier farm (group of 18th century houses called “Ménages”) near a natural water resurgence, to be discovered by following the “Les Panoramas” hiking circuit ( www.visitgolfe.com ).

Plan de la Tour, Var

Plan de la Tour is just 8km from Sainte-Maxime

A quiet Provençal town where you can get away from the noise and traffic, sip a glass of rosé at a sidewalk café without going broke, and pick up your fresh baguette in the early morning without the strains of a long queue.

Most of the village centre is found near the church and the old Presbytère where occasional art exhibitions are held. Wandering about, you will find yourself in narrow streets, connected by archways, lined with neat houses that in general are well kept and colourfully painted. Most of the buildings are from the 19th or 20th century with a few exceptions such as the bell tower from the 16th century.

Plan de la Tour is more than its small centre. Spread out over an area of almost 37km² it consists of 25 original hamlets with names such as Préconil, les Pierrons or le Vernet, These hamlets were established from the 16th century, first as a farmhouse or Bastide, always near a water well, later growing with more dwellings until today. Some hamlets may have just a few houses, others have grown and expanded to a major settlement.

In between the hamlets is the countryside of Plan de la Tour ascending with the wild Massif des Maures, dry, rocky and steep, full of pins parasol, cork oak and olive trees. But there's also the countryside of rolling vineyards, narrow, winding roads and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea.

Back to the village: even though you will not find a supermarket, you can buy all the necessary provisions here. There are boulangeries, a butcher, an épicerie, several restaurants, crêperies, a weekly market (Thursday morning) and a library to buy your newspaper and maps. At the end of your shopping you can relax on the town bench.

A little gem in Plan de la Tour is a hidden section yet more colourful and quiet. It's on the edge of the village off the main road towards Le Muy. There is a small parking area, just over the bridge with a sign d'Emponse. Or you can just take a stroll from the village centre; it's no more than 10 minutes. Wander about through the narrow streets and enjoy this secret oasis.

We found only a couple of cafés open on a sunny weekday in the winter. Both were on the "basic" side, small, noisy and smokey, but of course the service was fast and polite and the clientel were talkative and friendly.

The village is located in an oasis of cleared farms and vineyards in the midst of the Maures forests of pine, pubescent oak, cork oak and olive trees. Corks from the numerous cork oaks are one of the local products - along with Côte de Provence wines, olives, red and yellow marble and pewter. Color is added in the first few months of the year with mimosa growing thickly, in peoples gardens, on the hillsides along the northwest part of town and along the roads and lanes nearby. On the D44 towards Le Muy, just a few kilometers from Plan-de-la-Tour we saw forests of the bright yellow shrubs. Just east of town, where the D74 heads out across the farmlands towards Sainte Maxime, there's a forest of umbrella pine ( pin parasole ).

History of Plan-de-la-Tour

First record, 12th century Castrum de Planaturris

The earliest official record of the village is the name Castrum de Planaturris from the 12th century, but the earliest real record of local habitation goes back to prehistoric times: a menhir, 3 dolmens and related artifacts dating to the Bronze Age are located at Reverti, 5 km south of the current village. Celtic-Ligurian sites have been located nearby, and there are vestiges of various Roman sites.

Market day: Thur. Market is Thurs mornings, summer and winter, on the south side of town. It isn't a huge market, but there's pretty much a stand for everything: fishmonger, fruits and local produce, 'terroir' products such as local wines, honey, patés and cheeses, some clothes, roasted chicken, and so on.

Ein absolutes Highlight ist ein Spaziergang zum Chateau Grimaud, einer Burg aus dem 11. Jahrhundert, von der noch viel erhalten ist. Église Saint-Martin

L’église de Saint-Martin avec son campanile remarquable fut bâtie en 1770. L’ancien presbytère associé à la construction, est aujourd’hui en partie utilisé pour des ateliers de peinture et il donne lieu à de très belles expositions.
