How to Watch the Tour de France
From cable TV to live streaming, here are your options for watching the 2022 Tour.
Gear-obsessed editors choose every product we review. We may earn commission if you buy from a link. How we test gear.
- FuboTV also provides access to NBC’s coverage for $70 a month.
The 2022 Tour de France begins on Friday, July 1st with a 13.3km individual time trial through Copenhagen, Denmark. (Yes, Denmark!) So it’s time to start planning how you’re going to watch it.
Whether that means streaming from your phone, starting your morning with the previous day’s highlights, or inviting your friends over for a viewing party, the options for watching the Tour de France are plentiful.
For the Fanatics
In general, NBC offers the most accessible and affordable (and legal) options for American viewers to watch the Tour de France through its Peacock Premium streaming service for $4.99 a month. For ad-free coverage you’ll need a subscription to Peacock Premium Plus, which runs $9.99 a month. Eligible Comcast Xfinity X1 and Flex customers and Cox Contour customers may already access Peacock Premium for free.
You could cancel your subscription at the end of the Tour, but consider this: by subscribing to Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus you’ll also have access to the full men’s and women’s Tours as well as other races covered by NBC and its partners, including the 2022 Vuelta a España and next year’s editions of Paris-Nice and Paris-Roubaix.
The Peacock app is available on Roku, Apple devices, Android and AndroidTV devices, Google platforms, Chromecast, Xbox devices, Playstation 4 and 4 Pro, VIZIO SmartCast TVs, and LG Smart TVs. You can also watch online via the Peacock website.
If you have a good cable package and prefer conventional viewing on your television, you’re in luck: NBC will offer the race to cable subscribers via the USA Network and CNBC . Live coverage often starts around 7 a.m. ET, so 9-to-5ers will likely need to record each stage and watch later. (Check the full schedule for details.)
No Cable? No Problem.
If you don’t have cable and want more than what’s offered on the NBC app, a subscription to FuboTV costs $70 per month. Add the $12 per month cycling package you’ll have full access to NBC’s coverage of the race. Fubo’s also great for those who love cycling year round, as FuboTV has a full-time cycling channel covering the major Tours, the Classics, some World Championships, and even BMX racing. (It’s also available in Canada.) If you’ve been looking for a streaming service that offers most if not all of the channels you enjoy watching, it’s a solid option.
Riders to Watch
Slovenia’s Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) has won the last two Tours and starts this year’s race as the overwhelming favorite. He can do it all: climb, descend, time trial–even the cobblestones of Belgium and Northern France have proven to be no match for the 23-year-old. Assuming he avoids crashes and bad luck during the Tour’s dangerous first week , he should have little trouble taking his third win.
Pogačar’s biggest challenge should come from Jumbo-Visma’s co-captains, Slovenia’s Primož Roglič and Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard, who finished second to Pogačar in 2020 and 2021, respectively. If they can play to one another’s strengths and avoid worrying about which one is their team’s “true” leader, then they might have a chance to dethrone the two-time defending champ.
The INEOS Grenadiers have won seven of the last ten Tours de France with four different riders–so clearly they know what it takes to win the world’s biggest bike race. But Pogačar’s proven to be a tough nut for the British super team to crack. This year we expect them to count on a mix of both old and new in their bid to reclaim the yellow jersey, with co-captains Geraint Thomas, who won the Tour in 2018, and Daniel Martinez, who’s riding only his third Tour and his first as his team’s protected rider, expected to lead the way.
Other riders to keep an eye on include Australia’s Ben O’Connor, Russia’s Aleksandr Vlasov (BORA-hansgrohe), and Colombia’s Rigoberto Uran (EF Education-EasyPost).
Since getting hooked on pro cycling while watching Lance Armstrong win the 1993 U.S. Pro Championship in Philadelphia, longtime Bicycling contributor Whit Yost has raced on Belgian cobbles, helped build a European pro team, and piloted that team from Malaysia to Mont Ventoux as an assistant director sportif. These days, he lives with his wife and son in Pennsylvania, spending his days serving as an assistant middle school principal and his nights playing Dungeons & Dragons.

How to Watch the Tour de France
The world’s greatest cyclists journey across France in the biggest race of the year and Peacock is the only place to see it all.
It’s time for cycling’s most anticipated event of the year. The Tour de France brings the best professional cyclists in the world together for a three-week cross-country race. The route is different every year, but the destination remains the same: A grand finish on Paris’ Champs-Elysées. No other competition is quite like it. Even if you don’t normally follow professional cycling, you’ll find yourself drawn in, captivated by the 21-day drama on display. If you want to see it all, there’s one place you need to be.
What Is the Tour de France?
The Tour de France is a massive bike race that takes cyclists on a three-week journey through France. With the exact route changing every year, this is a unique challenge unlike anything else on the cycling calendar. The race is broken up into stages, with each day covering a certain portion of the route. Each stage has its own winner, and the winner of the entire event is the person who has the fastest time of all 21 stages. Every stage matters. Even winning one, even if the rider doesn’t win the tournament, will boost that rider’s standing significantly. Only the absolute best, most competitive riders make it to the Tour de France, so tensions are high for the entire three-week race.
This year’s event will take 176 riders through 3,404 km of road, hill, and mountain terrain. Multiple stages will force cyclists to climb for more than an hour straight. It’s a tough route that encourages athletes to take risks to get ahead. This year’s edition of the Tour de France is sure to be the most memorable yet.

The Grand Départ will be LIVE on both NBC and Peacock. After that, most stages will be exclusive to Peacock, but some will also be broadcast on USA. If you want to see every stage, including the finale on the Champs Elysées in Paris, you’ll want to make sure you have Peacock.
Stage 1: NBC and Peacock
Stage 2: Exclusively on Peacock
Stages 3-7: USA and Peacock
Stages 8-21: Exclusively on Peacock
Can I Watch a Stage Later if I Can’t Catch it Live?
Yes! In addition to full live coverage, Peacock will have full replays available of every stage of the Tour de France. You’ll also be able to stream highlights, recaps, interviews, and much more. Every replay will be available after the conclusion of each stage so you never have to miss a moment. The Tour de France is the most dramatic race on the calendar, so Peacock is making sure you get to see it all.
Which Cyclists Should I Look Out For?
Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard is definitely one to watch. He’s an absolute phenom and there’s absolutely a possibility of him repeating this year. He’s not the only favorite though. Tadej Pogacar, who won the Tour in 2020 and 2021, will likely fight for the top spot the whole way through. The battle between these two is one of the most-anticipated elements of this year’s race.
Australian cyclists Ben O’Connor and Jai Hindley could also make some noise, as could France’s David Gaudu and Ecuador’s Richard Carapaz. They could even pose a threat to the top two favorites if things break their way. Cycling is a fickle and unpredictable sport, after all. There are also a few American cyclists worth paying attention to, particularly Matteo Jorgenson and Neilson Powless. Even if they don’t win the whole thing, or even podium, they have a definite shot at securing some stage wins. That alone is a career highlight for pro cyclists.
There is no race quite like the Tour de France. It’s long, dramatic, and a true test of endurance. Emotions run high for the entire three weeks, making for the most thrilling race of the year. Get Peacock now to see it all.

*CableTV.com utilizes paid Amazon links. Amazon.com Price; $47.99 (as of 5/3/23 11:30 a.m. CT). Read full disclaimer .
The most convenient way to watch the Tour de France for free is by using an over-the-air (OTA) antenna to pick up your local NBC station. Unfortunately, NBC doesn’t show a lot of race coverage—mostly encore presentations of early and late stages. But it never hurts having an antenna in your TV setup.
If you don’t have an antenna, most cost between $20.00 and $60.00. We recommend the Mohu Leaf 50 for its 60-mile range and slim design. But you’ll want to verify the distance of your nearest NBC station by entering your zip code into the Federal Communications Commission’s Reception Map Tool . That’ll help determine if you need a more robust antenna, which we feature on our Best OTA Antennas page.
Pro tip: To make up for every stage NBC doesn’t air, you can stream free race recaps on NBC Sports’ YouTube channel .
The 110th Tour de France will stream on Peacock and air on NBC and USA Network throughout July 2023. Peacock offers the best way to watch Le Tour because it streams every stage from beginning to end. It also carries the entire women’s race, which begins the same day as the men’s competition ends.
If you’re a cycling fan without access to fast and reliable internet, most cable and satellite TV services have NBC and USA Network. Those channels don’t show as much Tour de France coverage as Peacock, but you’ll still see the most vital moments of the race.

Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar won the Tour de France in both 2020 and 2021, but can he do so again? If he pulls it off, Pogačar will technically only be the second cyclist in the last 25 years to win the title three years in a row. Pretty impressive stuff for a 23-year-old. Without further ado, let's check out the different ways you can watch the 109th Tour de France from wherever you are.
How to watch the 2022 Tour de France from the USA
Some of the streaming services that offer access to NBC Sports (and the Tour de France) include Peacock's Premium plan, YouTube TV, Sling TV Blue, and fuboTV. 2021 Tour de France live stream: How to watch Stage 19 of the race online
A guide on watching the 2021 Tour de France on TV and how to stream the cycling event online
The 2021 Tour de France coverage is almost over, concluding with Stage 21 on Sunday, July 18. It began on Saturday, June 26. Race coverage begins at around at 6 a.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN. Full schedule of stages below.
The excitement is almost over, as the 2021 Tour de France live streams finish this Sunday, with Stage 21. That said, everything feels final for the overall winner seems obvious. Yesterday, Stage 18 saw Tadej Pogacar win and keep the yellow jersey, solidifying the fact that he's likely winning the whole thing.
Today, on the 207km route to Libourne, most eyes will be on a pair chasing at the points. Michael Matthews (from Australia, representing Team BikeExchange), is on the tail of Mark Cavendish (of Great Britain and Team Deceuninck-Quick Step).
Going into today, Cavendish had a 38-point advantage, and with 20 points on the line, Matthews could get closer to that green jersey. That said, Cavendish is one stage win away from breaking Eddy Merck's record, so we doubt he'll be giving anyone a chance.
The three-week race is now live, with 184 riders in 23 teams, pedaling through 21 stages, including three summit finishes and two individual time trials. The strongest all-around rider will emerge victorious at the end.

The 2021 Tour de France is following its usual summer schedule, after last year's edition was delayed to the fall due to the coronavirus pandemic. That means it's been only nine months since Tadej Pogacar won his first Tour de France.
Favorites in this year's race include Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) and Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers).

It's the final day of this year's race, and – with the battle for the yellow jersey effectively over – Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) has achieved his second victory in a row. The sprinters will be out for glory in Paris, however, so you'll be looking for a Tour de France live stream so you can watch the action from the finish line as it happens. Coverage is available free-to-air on ITVX (UK) and SBS On-Demand (AUS), so make sure you know how to watch for free with a VPN from anywhere .
Saturday's stage 20 between Moûtiers and Bourg-en-Bresse was won by two-time Tour winner Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates). That meant that second-placed Pogačar, who had been neck-and-neck with Vingegaard until Tuesday's time trial, claimed back a few seconds in the General Classification , but not enough to make a significant dent on Vingegaard's seven-minute lead. Pogačar's UA teammate, Adam Yates, will occupy the third step on the podium.
Sunday's final stage takes the riders on a 115km route from Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines to Paris, culminating on the famous Champs-Élysées. Alpecin-Deceuninck will surely be trying to get their green jersey wearer, Jasper Philipsen, in contention for a sprint finish, with the rider trying to secure his fifth stage stage win of this year's Tour. You can find out if he manages it by tuning into a Tour de France 2023 live stream. You'll find everything you need to know about how to watch the race below.

Dato: Fredag 1. juli - søndag 24. juli (etapetider nedenfor)
Danske tv-kanaler: TV2 , Eurosport1
Dansk streaming: TV2 Play , Discovery+
International streaming: FloBikes

Uanset om du er ude efter en livestream eller blot aftenens højdepunkter, så læs videre for alt, hvad du behøver at vide om, hvordan du kan se Tour de France hvor som helst i juli.
Årets tour strækker sig over ca. 3328 kilometer.

Danske ryttere i årets Tour
- Her er de 9 danskere og deres hold:
- Christopher Juul-Jensen (BikeExchange-Jayco)
- Andreas Kron (Lotto Soudal)
- Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma)
- Jakob Fuglsang (Israel-Premier Tech)
- Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo)
- Michael Mørkøv (Quick-Step - Alpha Vinyl)
- Mikkel Honoré (Quick-Step - Alpha Vinyl)
- Kasper Asgreen (Quick-Step - Alpha Vinyl)
- Mikkel Bjerg (UAE)

How to watch Giro d'Italia 2024: live stream cycling online
Stage 7 ITT could help Thomas gain precious ground
- Today's stage
- Watch FREE streams
- Unblock any stream
- Schedule and start times
This may be Tadej Pogacar's (UAE Team Emirates) first ever crack at the Giro d'Italia, but he's in such menacing form that if he doesn't ride off in the maglia rosa it will be a surprise. It's worth remembering, however, that the Slovenian last won a grand tour three years ago, and if there's a formula for beating him, Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) might just have it. Here's where to watch Giro d'Italia live streams online for free – from anywhere.
Pogacar is prone to the occasional off day, a trait that cost him at each of the past two tours he competed in. Thomas, who's never won La Corsa Rosa in five previous attempts, but came agonizingly close a year ago, when he wore the pink jersey for eight stages but lost it at the death, has a superb team backing him up.
Thymen Arensman and Tobias Foss each have the potential to be stars of tomorrow, so they should prove invaluable to the 37-year-old Welshman, who looks set to retire next year and is looking to make the most of the time he has left.
Both Thomas and Pogacar are planning to race the Tour de France this year too, partly because the 2024 Giro d'Italia route is significantly shorter and less jagged than usual, giving rise to the possibility of a first double since 1998.
Below is our guide to where to watch the 2024 Giro d'Italia – including FREE streams.
Giro d'Italia today: Stage 7
Much of the first week of the Giro has felt like a buildup, and the payoff is imminent. Stage 7, a 40.6km ITT from Foligno to Perugia, is largely flat but rises sharply in the final 7km. It could provide the perfect opportunity for Thomas to gain precious ground on the race leader.
It precedes the first genuinely jagged stage of the race, a 152km slog from Spoleto to Prati di Tivo with an elevation gain of 3,820 metres, which could come as a shock after the relative quaintness of the past several days.

Grand Tour racing season is finally upon us with the 2024 Giro d'Italia well underway, as the peloton takes on three weeks of racing from Piemonte to Rome.
The riders will take on two time trials, eight mountain stages, and plenty of hilly stages and sprints as the biggest GC names do battle to determine the 107th champion of La Corsa Rosa.
Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) makes his Giro debut as the overwhelming favourite to take home the maglia rosa , though he will face competition from other podium favourites including Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) and Ben O'Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale).
The Slovenian quickly stamped his authority on the Corsa Rosa on stage 2 by winning at the summit finish in Oropa. His 45-second lead has been safe leading into the next major test for the overall contenders, Friday's stage 7 – the 40.6km individual time trial from Foligno to Perugia.

After the hilly first two stages, the sprinters had their day for two stages with Merlier and Milan each winning one before the breakaway stayed clear on stage 5, won by Benjamin Thomas (Cofidis).
The gravel sectors on stage 6 had no effect on the GC, with Pelayo Sanchez (Movistar) winning from a three-man breakaway. Every Change Taylor Swift Made to ‘The Eras Tour’ in 2024: Song Cuts, ‘TTPD’ and More
Taylor Swift is giving her Eras Tour a fresh update as she hits the road again for the next leg.
Swift took the stage in Paris on May 9 after a two-month hiatus. During her first show of the European leg, fans were quick to notice the changes Swift made to the show from costume changes to edits to her extensive setlist. When talking to the audience, Swift teased she had a lot in store for her fans that evening.
“It makes us want to give you all sorts of surprises!” she hinted.
Since Swift last hit the road, she dropped her 11th album The Tortured Poet’s Department . Ahead of the Paris show, Swift’s French tour promoter, Arnaud Meersseman , confirmed that the singer was adding some TTPD songs to the show.
“She’s going to include new pieces from her new album,” he said in an interview with Radio France on Thursday, May 9.
Keep scrolling to see what changes Swift has made to the Eras Tour so far:
A New Intro
Before Swift takes the stage for each show, she plays her famous intro that includes a mention of all her albums and eras. Swift updated the mix to include a reference to TTPD . The backdrop now also includes TTPD alongside her previous work.
With new songs coming into the three-hour set, it was inevitable that fans would have to say goodbye to some tracks. “The Archer” and “Long Live” were the first ones to get the ax. Swift also cut “The 1,” “Tolerate It,” “The Last Great American Dynasty” and “Tis the Damn Season.”
To keep Swifties on their toes, Swift mixed up the order of her setlist. In the original leg after Fearless , she transitioned into Evermore . Swift moved Red into Evermore’s original spot and later combined Folklore and Evermore into one era.
“On The Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters!” she said of the two records she dropped in 2020. “You can call it Folklore , Evermore or you can call it the sister albums!”
After Red , Swift goes into her Speak Now era, which includes a new transition featuring floral images on the screen and her dancers performing a new routine before she sings “Enchanted.”
New Outfits
Swift also took a second to update her show with a brand-new wardrobe to mark the occasion. She rocked a new Lover bodysuit, Fearless dress and “Enchanted” gown. During the Red set, Swift also donned a new T-shirt that read, “This Is Not Taylor’s Version.” On the second night, the shirt read, “I Bet You Think About Me,” which is one of the vault tracks from Red (Taylor’s Version). “When it was time for her Folklore era, Swift also brought out a new dreamy yellow dress (on night 2 it was pink).
One look remained the same: her iconic Reputation bodysuit. ( Reputation and her self-titled debut are the two albums Swift has not rerecord yet, perhaps that’s why she didn’t update the look yet.)

For 1989 , Swift introduced a new blue-and-pink sequined outfit that featured a miniskirt and crop top reminiscent of her outfits from The 1989 World Tour . (On night 2 in Paris, she wore the same look in a different color.) The surprise songs section featured as a new dress as well. She also dazzled in a new sparkly Midnights bodysuit which featured a halter top and side cutouts.

Following her 1989 era, Swift performed several songs from the TTPD anthology and wore a white gown. The set included “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” The Paris audience also got “loml” as one of their surprise songs.
During the performance, Swift is abducted by aliens and levitates on a moving platform. After “Fortnight,” Swift removed her gown and wore a sequined black set and gold jacket. On night 2, the black set was replaced with a white two-piece and matching jacket.
