HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF
The Laurentian climate?
The P’tit Train du Nord covers an enormous territory with its 234 km, the climate is not the same in each sector.
The temperature is, on occasion, unpredictable, so we suggest you always have a warm jumper and gear up in case of sudden rain.
What to do in case of a mechanical problem?
It is important to have your bike tuned up before the start of the season. On the route, you will find mechanical repair stations (click on service and mechanical assistance in the map).
There are patrollers along the trail who can help with basic mechanics. However, we strongly recommend that you carry a first-aid kit with you at all times.
Here are the essential items that should be in it:
- Spare inner tube (at least 1)
- Mini bike pump
- Multi-tools (with Allen keys, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Patches (to repair holes in tubes)
Tips for a smooth trip
- Always carry water with you. You should drink at least 1L of water per hour. Hydration is essential for our bodies to function properly. You will find water points and sanitary blocks along your route.
- Have a well-charged phone in case of emergency, but also to immortalize your beautiful moments of the trip.
- Have the right clothes for the weather.
- Know your limits and take breaks when you feel the need.
- Have a bar or a piece of fruit in case of lack of energy.
- A small first-aid kit for minor injuries.
On the trail at km 14 at the Prévost train station, come and meet us at our reception boutique. For information or to tell us about your trip! 🙂

E-bike upgrades are possible upon request, subject to availability. Equipped with bike bag, helmet, lock, stand and basic tool kit. Great option for a boost and extra pedal-power.
Introductory. The rail trail is an easy, mostly flat, stone dust/packed gravel surface. Distances each day are short (42-60km), so this itinerary is suitable for even the most beginner cyclists, including active children 7 years and older. In wet weather, parts of the trail may be muddy. Self guided walking or cycling requires individuals to use problem solving skills, be adaptable and have a keen eye. It is recommended that you are comfortable map reading, referring to route notes and that you have a good sense of direction (or are willing to work on improving this!). Cyclists will be expected to know how to fix a flat tire and make basic adjustments to their bicycles using the included repair kit. Sometimes route finding, losing your way, finding it again and asking the locals for help is all part of the adventure. If you’ve never been on a self guided trip, after the first couple of days you will get the hang of if as the vast majority of our first time travellers attest. Please be assured that our written material issued to you for route finding is updated regularly and we provide a 7-day service hotline in the event of any problems.

The best facilities were built for them: the world’s largest centrifuge and hydro laboratory. Many cosmonauts from other countries (USA, Japan, Germany and many others) also have trained here together with Soviet Russian cosmonauts. On this Star (Space) City Tour you will see:

Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery and Museum. Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev.

Secondly, get the audio in the train (each row = 4 audios), to it at least 5 languages + 1 children channel. If La petit train in Avignon can do it, I do not understand why in Marseille not.
