By Jon Blistein

Jon Blistein

SZA has extended her North American tour in support of her celebrated new album, SOS . Earlier this year, the singer completed 17 shows for her first-ever arena tour between February and March. Now, she’s plotting her return with 21 additional dates scheduled for this fall.

The R&B star will pick up where she left off on Sept. 20 in Miami and close out the second leg of the tour on Oct. 29 in Phoenix. The new shows include stops in Brooklyn, Toronto, Newark, Houston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and more.

Tickets for all new shows will go on sale this Friday, April 14 at 12 p.m. local time. Full details are available on SZA’s website .

SZA released SOS on Friday, Dec. 9, five years after the arrival of her celebrated 2017 debut, Ctrl . The 23-track album featured an array of collaborators , including Travis Scott, Don Tolliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, as well as a cameo from Phoebe Bridgers on “Ghost In the Machine.”

Of getting SZA to “talk her shit,” as he put it, on those songs, Versace said, “I believe that spiritually our ancestors, the people around us, they can use us spiritually for whatever we’re trying to convey. I feel like that’s something that she wanted to do. I feel, even though I was telling her to talk her shit, I feel like that was something that she wanted to do too. I feel like she never really got the chance to really do that.”

SZA gives her all singing onstage.

SZA is sending another ‘S.O.S.’ this fall.

The popular R&B star, who toured all over the U.S. in February and March of this year, will return to the road for an additional 21 concerts with special guest Raye as part of her ‘SOS Tour’ from Sept. 20 through Oct. 29.

That includes a stop at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on Sunday, Oct. 1 followed by a pair of back-to-back gigs at Brooklyn, NY’s Barclays Center on Friday, Oct. 6 and Saturday, Oct. 7 .

And if you haven’t gotten your tickets to hear the “Kill Bill” star — who just made headlines for her controversial “Slime You Out” single with Drake — perform live, now’s the time to act fast.

As of now, tickets are available for all 21 shows .

They’re not exactly cheap though.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find was $98 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other shows have seats starting in the $100 to $215 range before fees.

Still, given that you get to hear SZA perform tracks from her chart topping albums “CTRL” or “SOS” live more than justifies the cost in our book.

Want to find out how much tickets will cost for the concert closest to you?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about the fall 2023 leg of SZA’s ‘SOS Tour’ right below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

SZA 2023 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to the cheapest tickets available can be found here:

(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. All prices are in US dollars, subject to fluctuation and include additional fees at checkout .)

Vivid Seats is a verified secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They offer a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and your tickets will be delivered prior to the event.

SZA “SOS” album

In addition to its commercial success, the 23-song  “SOS” has proven to be a hit with critics  as well.

Rolling Stone  said the record “delivers sharp barbs and juicy revelations” in a four-star review.

“SZA’s long, ambitious, luxurious new album solidifies her position as a generational talent,” raves  Pitchfork . They summed up that sentiment calling her “otherworldly, but you just might know someone a little like her, too.”

If you want to brush up on the record before you see her live, you can stream “SOS” here .

SZA opening act

At each of her 21 shows, SZA will be joined by rising star Raye .

Although she’s only 25, the singer-songwriter has already produced tracks for stars like Beyoncé , Rihanna, David Guetta, John Legend . and Ellie Goulding .

As a solo artist, she blew up with the release of her hypnotic single “Escapism.”

That’s far from her only hit though — we suggest checking out “BED,” “Secrets” and “You Don’t Know Me” if you’re looking to do a deep dive.

Huge stars on tour in 2023

It’s hard not to be excited for the this year’s crop of mega stars on the road.

Although it isn’t easy to whittle down, here are just five of our favorite stars on tour this year.

•  Lauryn Hill with Fugees

•  Doja Cat with Ice Spice

•  Kali Uchis

•  Wu-Tang Clan with Nas

•  Boyz II Men

Born in St. Louis and raised in Maplewood, NJ, genre-defying, and GRAMMY Award winning recording artist SZA released her major label debut album Ctrl (TDE/RCA) in 2017. Revered for its raw and honest lyrics, it landed at No. 1 on Billboard ’s R&B Albums chart, No. 2 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen Music. The now RIAA-certified 3xPlatinum album received five Grammy nominations in 2018 and more than half the songs on Ctrl are currently certified multi-Platinum and Gold. Ctrl remains on the Billboard 200 chart since its release in 2017 and holds the record for the longest run for any Black female artist’s debut album. In 2022 alone it sold over 600,000 units and is the 10th best-selling female album this year in the country and 50th best-selling album in 2022 overall.

SZA has won various awards since the release of Ctrl including a 2022 GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Dou/Group Performance for “Kiss Me More” with Doja Cat, Billboard Music Awards’ Top R&B Female Artist, BET Awards’ Best New Artist, BET Soul Train Awards’ Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and Best New Artist, MTV Video Music Awards’ Best Visual Effects for the “All The Stars” with Kendrick Lamar, and NAACP Image Awards’ Outstanding New Artist. In 2019, she won NAACP Image Awards’ Outstanding Duo or Group for “All The Stars” with Kendrick Lamar and Outstanding Soundtrack/Compilation for the Black Panther Soundtrack . SZA also received Billboard’s 2019 Women in Music Rule Breaker award.

To this day, SZA continues to set the standard on creativity and songwriting, while shattering records with over 7.2 billion streams worldwide across all platforms. To close out the trying year of 2020, SZA gifted fans on Christmas Day with the hopeful track “Good Days.” Grammy-nominated for Best R&B Song, the single quickly became SZA’s greatest gainer solo single release, peaking at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and marking her first time in the chart’s top ten as the main artist. December 2021, SZA scored her second lead artist top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart with the official release of “I Hate U,” which debuted at #7. The song also entered at #1 on both Spotify and Apple Music US charts and broke the record for the most streamed R&B song by a female artist on Apple Music in its first week.  “Shirt,” her most recent single has garnered over 60 million streams globally since its release in October. SZA’s long-awaited new album SOS includes features by Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers and Ol’ Dirty Bastard; with production by Ctrl hitmaking collaborators ThankGod4Cody and Carter Lang, alongside Jeff Bhasker, Rob Bisel, Benny Blanco, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Emile Haynie, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Jay Versace, and more.

SZA’s S.O.S Tour - A Musical Voyage

The Grammy award-winning artist SZA touched down at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, for her S.O.S Tour and delivered an unforgettable performance.

The night began when singer-songwriter David Burke, better known as " d4vd ," took the stage as the opening act. D4vd’s music is a fusion of genres varying from R&B, indie and alternative rock. His range in sound made for an engaging setlist as it created a great balance of slow, introspective tracks with energetic anthems, ensuring everyone in the audience could connect with his music.

D4vd didn’t just perform; he established a personal connection with the crowd, seamlessly weaving stories and insights from his creative process between songs. His breakout hit “Romantic Homicide” was a crowd favorite. A track, he shared, that was recorded under DIY circumstances - in his sister's closet, simply using “busted earbuds.” Many could relate to his modest origin story, giving his set an authentic and relatable vibe that resonated with the crowd.

When the chords to his hit song “Here With Me” began, the audience was notably excited. Fans could be seen with their phones raised and flashlights on, creating a dazzling display throughout the arena. Fans in attendance could be heard chanting the chorus creating a powerful sense of unity in the arena. D4vd’s vocal ability was commendable and could be appreciated throughout the entirety of his set. Truly, his unique voice carried every note with raw emotion.

In the end, d4vd's set left no doubt that he's on the cusp of a remarkable career. His ability to engage with the crowd and convey personal connections through his songs is reminiscent of SZA herself. For a young artist at the beginning of his journey, d4vd is off to a fantastic start, and his performance in Baltimore showcased the promise and potential that will undoubtedly see him rise to even greater heights in the music world.

The concert's elaborate nautical theme unfolded as she perched on the edge of a diving board, recreating the iconic image from her album cover. The arena erupted in excitement as she began her performance adorned in a baggy, sparkling denim outfit.

SZA effortlessly transitioned through various outfit changes, each perfectly matching the song's vibe and creating an immersive multi-sensory experience for the concertgoers. What truly set this concert apart was the attention to detail and the visual feast it offered. From the set design, featuring a rusty boat that served as a dance platform for SZA and her crew, to the giant anchor adding to the illusion of being underwater, the show took the audience on a journey. The set design transformed seamlessly from moments of repose at a dock to the stormy seas, then submerging underwater before emerging into the starry night. Multiple LED screens were strategically positioned to create a 3D effect, ensuring every arena corner had an unobstructed view.

Despite performing in front of a crowd of over 10,000 people, SZA managed to maintain an intimate connection with her audience. She traversed all sides of the stage, ensuring every section received equal attention. Songs like "Kill Bill" and "F2F'' came alive. While the energy was maintained consistently throughout the show, a noticeable peak occurred during the performance of "Low." SZA's choreography, including a split that left the arena cheering, was a testament to her dedication to providing a top-tier show.

One of the most surreal moments occurred when a lighthouse appeared in the arena's center, casting a sweeping beacon of light across the crowd. Blue lights panned the air, giving the illusion that SZA was floating on water. She was then lifted in an orange life raft, continuing to serenade the crowd with the soft ballads "Supermodel," "Special," and "Nobody Gets Me." Even on the raft, she ensured that fans in all directions received their moment in the spotlight.

SZA's extensive and beloved discography, featuring hits from her early album "CTRL" to her latest masterpiece, "S.O.S," resonated deeply with the audience. Smiles illuminated the faces of concertgoers as they sang their hearts out, their joy palpable. SZA's own infectious delight was evident as her voice effortlessly filled the arena.

The concert concluded with a heartwarming performance of "Good Days," providing a sense of peaceful closure and calm after a storm. This meticulously crafted, engaging, and beautiful show is one that warrants multiple viewings. SZA's S.O.S tour was a true testament to her artistry and a night that will be etched in the memories of those fortunate enough to witness it.

SZA with special guest Aminé to headline Summerfest on June 22

MILWAUKEE, WI (April 4, 2024) – Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance is excited to announce that SZA with special guest Aminé will headline the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on Saturday, June 22, 2024 .

SZA is the final headliner to be announced for the festival’s largest stage, the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, and marks the first time she has performed at Summerfest.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. CST at Summerfest.com and Ticketmaster.com and in person at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater Box Office. Tickets for SZA with special guest Aminé include admission to Summerfest the day of the show.

About SZA A distinct force in contemporary R&B, SZA has set herself apart with a vulnerable and casually poetic songwriting style and a voice conveying a multitude of emotions with subtle twists and turns. She established herself with a trio of spaced-out Eps and collaborations with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna, and continued her ascent with Ctrl (2017), a Top Ten album that resulted in five Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist. These accolades proved to be no fluke, as SZA earned almost as many Grammy nominations the next year by assisting Kendrick Lamar with “All the Stars,” a Top Ten hit, only one in a slew of platinum singles she has scored as a headliner or featured artist. Her rich and complex second album, SOS (2022), went straight to number one on the Billboard 200, produced four Top Ten pop singles – including the chart-topping revenge fantasy “Kill Bill” – and earned the artist three Grammy awards.

About Aminé Adam Aminé Daniel, best known to the world by his stage name Aminé, is a Grammy-nominated rapper, singer, and songwriter originally from Portland, Oregon. Aminé first broke into public consciousness in 2016 with the release of his 6x Platinum single "Caroline," which debuted at number 96 on the US Billboard Hot 100 before eventually peaking at number 11. On the heels of the single's success, Aminé released his debut  album Good For You (RIAA certified Gold) and was selected as a XXL Freshman in 2017. Subsequent releases, 2018's ONEPOINTFIVE and 2020's Limbo, proved that Aminé was far from here today, gone tomorrow star in rap: they were full length releases in which he showcased his pure rapping ability and cemented himself in the current generations of stars in the genre. 2021 saw the release of his most sonically ambitious body of work yet, TWOPOINTFIVE, which found Aminé exploring new musical territory, borrowing rom club music and hyperpop in a way that he hadn't fully embraced previously. The video for its lead single "Charmander" was celebrated as one of the best of the year by GQ, Pitchfork, Highsnobiety and more. His success on record has translated to his celebrated live shows, having sold out every international tour on which he's embarked and 2022's The Best Tour Ever Tour seeing him set new high water marks in terms of tickets sold across multiple markets in North America.
