The Eagles kicked off the “Hotel California” concerts in 2019 in Las Vegas to rave reviews and critical acclaim. To date, the Eagles have performed more than 70 sold-out shows, including five nights at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City, four nights at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, four nights at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, three concerts at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, three nights at the Forum in Los Angeles, and multiple nights in Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Nashville, TN, San Francisco, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Seattle, WA, St. Paul, MN, and Toronto, ON.

“From the title track — a 6 1/2-minute flamenco-reggae ballad— to the elegiac closer ‘The Last Resort,’ it’s consummately performed…”   – Los Angeles Times

“The band performed the album from front to back, following with a blazing greatest hits set that had the audience at the sold-out arena constantly on its feet…With no exception, the songs have aged well, but how could they fail with the Eagles’ five-part harmony and five guitar-approach… (Henley’s) voice sounded as strong and pliant as it ever has, easily hitting the highest of notes, while retaining his trademark huskiness.”   – Billboard

“By now the orchestra has been joined by a choir. The Eagles’ sound, with its glowing harmonies, barely needs them, but they add to the sense of occasion – and the delight of the crowd. I’ve never seen so many songs receive a standing ovation.”   – Daily Mail

“…the Eagles spent more than 2 hours and 40 minutes on stage performing most of the best-known songs in their oeuvre, their voices sounding as robust as they did half their lifetimes ago. And the show was all the best adjectives you can think of — exhilarating, breathtaking, stunning, magical, triumphant.”   – Charlotte Observer

“It was a soulful, technically brilliant concert, with state-of-the-art sound engineering, wonderful performances and beautiful visuals presented on a giant screen behind the musicians.”

-Buffalo News

And it was…sublime. Eagles have long had a knack for precise, recording-perfect performances, and playing “Hotel California” was perhaps the finest exposition of that. The sound mix was pristine, the vocal harmonies were rich…”   – Oakland Press

“Everyone in the arena seemed to leap to their feet and start applauding at once. For a split-second I actually felt my eyes start to mist up. It was just so overwhelming, the power of (Henley’s) voice, the beauty of the song, the majestic-ness of the symphony, the thickness of the nostalgia hanging in the air.”   – Charlotte Observer

“What made the “Hotel California” portion of Thursday’s set so stunning was just how airtight the Eagles sounded… The “Hotel California” portion of the set was near perfection – a tight, 50-minute showcase of musicality that would have been worth the price of admission alone. But the night was far from over.”   – Cleveland Plain Dealer

Hotel California  is the third best-selling U.S. album in history, certified 26-times Platinum by the RIAA. After its release in 1976, it topped the charts and won two GRAMMY Awards for “New Kid in Town” and “Hotel California.”  Several of the songs from the album have never been performed since the original “Hotel California” tour.  The band’s  Their Greatest Hits 1971-1977  is the best-selling U.S. album in history, with the RIAA certifying the collection at 38-times Platinum.

In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons. As the best-selling American band of the ’70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, the Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums and topped the singles charts five times. They have won six GRAMMY® Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

The Eagles Announce New 2023 ‘Hotel California’ Tour Dates

The Eagles aren't done yet. The legendary rock band (including Vince Gill ) have announced a new batch of tour dates featuring the iconic Hotel California album.

Six additional  Hotel California Tour dates have been tacked on to the 2023 calendar, bringing the total to 12, plus one non-tour show in California on Feb. 17.

The run is (for now) scheduled to end on April 7, but fans could be forgiven for hoping even more dates will be added.

Per our friends at Ultimate Classic Rock , the Hotel California Tour started in 2019 and paused in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 they picked back up with an aggressive slate of shows.

Don Henley ,  Joe Walsh  and  Timothy B. Schmit  will lead Gill and the rest of the touring band, orchestra and choir through the full Hotel California album (1976) and then greatest hits.

Deacon Frey will not be present for the shows. In April, the son of the late Glenn Frey stepped away from the band to pursue his own music. This tightens the band up to a four piece.

Tickets for these new Hotel California Tour dates will go on sale Jan. 13 at 10AM local time.

Eagles' 2023 Hotel California Tour Dates:

Eagles Join Parade of Acts on Final Tours With a ‘Long Goodbye’

The band, which performed a “farewell” tour in 2003, will begin what’s billed as a last run of dates in September.

Five men stand in a line onstage in front of a drum set and other instruments with their arms around each other, as though saying goodbye at the end of a concert.

By Ben Sisario

Eagles are touring for the last time. Again.

The band, whose country-tinged rock hits in the 1970s like “Hotel California” and “Life in the Fast Lane” made it one of the biggest-selling acts of all time, announced the Long Goodbye on Thursday, booked as the group’s final tour.

The tour — featuring the core Eagles members Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, along with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey (whose father was Glenn Frey, an original Eagle) — is set to open at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 7. That is the first of an initial batch of 13 dates mostly on the East Coast through Nov. 17, with Steely Dan as the opening act. In a statement, the Eagles floated the possibility of longer runs at each venue, saying they would “perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands.” The tour is expected to continue into 2025.

As longtime Eagles fans know, this is not the first time the band has signaled a sunset run. Back in 2003, it embarked on a tour called Farewell I . But there is good reason to believe they may be nearing the end. Glenn Frey, one of the group’s founding members, died in 2016 . Henley, the only member from its founding in 1971 who is still in the band, is 75; in an appearance before a Congressional committee in 2020 about copyright law, he said he was “in the final chapter of my career.” (Or maybe not. Bob Dylan, who is 82, is on a tour planned into 2024 , and the 86-year-old blues guitar hero Buddy Guy is on his own goodbye outing.)

Farewell tours have a way of winding on for years, and can be huge moneymakers. Kiss did its first in 2000 and has had more than a dozen tours since then; its End of the Road Tour started in 2019 and has dates booked through December. Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour began in 2018 and is set to finally conclude this weekend in Sweden, with at least $910 million in ticket sales, according to Billboard.

Among others now on their self-described final tours are Aerosmith, Foreigner, the punk band NOFX and Dead & Company, featuring original members of the Grateful Dead with John Mayer.

The Eagles Announce ‘The Long Goodbye’ Farewell Tour Dates, Steely Dan to Support

The Eagles have just announced a series of 2023 tour dates, the first on their The Long Goodbye farewell tour. Fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act Steely Dan have been tabbed as support for the fall run.

Much like Deep Purple 's own The Long Goodbye tour, the trek does not have a set end date, though The Eagles are expected to be on the road through 2025 and will "perform as many shows in each marker at their audience demands," per a press release.

The band is currently comprised of Don Henley , Joe Walsh , Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

The first batch of dates features a total of 13 stops between Sept. 7 and Nov. 17, all of which can be seen further down the page.

Reflecting on their massively successful 50-plus year career and the upcoming farewell jaunt, The Eagles released the following statement:

The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds. Eagles

Eagles – Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit, with Vince Gill – brings its Hotel California 2023 Tour to Acrisure Arena, as its Grand Opening Concert.

The performance date replaces the previously announced show date of January 18.

The show features the entire “Hotel California” album, accompanied by orchestra and choir, followed by an additional set of the band’s greatest hits. In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons. As the best-selling American band of the ’70s, and one of the top-selling acts of all time, Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six No. 1 albums, and topped the singles charts five times. They have won six GRAMMY® Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016. Hotel California is the third best-selling U.S. album in history, certified 26-times Platinum by the RIAA.

Tickets for “Hotel California” 2023 Tour, produced by Live Nation, are onsale now   at www.ticketmaster.com , the official ticket seller of Acrisure Arena.

Vince Gill Expected To Take On Extra Duties for Eagles Hotel California 2023 Tour

by Paul Cashmere on January 24, 2023

Eagles “new guys”, country superstar Vince Gill, is expected to absorb additional spotlight duties when Eagles ‘Hotel California’ tour resumes in Portland in February.

Vince Gill joined Eagles in 2017 in place of the late Glenn Frey along with Glenn’s son Deacon but the two divided vocal duties. Deacon left Eagles in 2022.

On the last show of 2022, Vince took lead for ‘New Kid In Town’, ‘Try and Love Again’, ‘Take It To The Limit’, ‘Lyin’ Eyes’ and ‘Heartache Tonight’. Deacon had been singing lead of his dad’s songs ‘Take It Easy’, ‘Already Gone’, ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ and ‘Tequila Sunrise’. Vince picked up three of the songs with ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ going to Timothy B. Schmit.

The 2023 dates are still three weeks away and at this stage it is unclear if Eagles will stick to the format or modify the set.

The show was awesome! He played (for 2-1/2 hrs) all his hits and even some new ones. Vince is one heck of a guitar player and quite the songwriter! His slow songs just go right thru you and his up tempo ones make you want to dance! His vocals are like no other and he is sweet and funny and just a very humble man. Don’t pass up the chance to see him!

Vince never lets ya down when you’re craving a great concert with a great icon and truly genuine man/ entertainer! He is simply one of the very best all around talented musicians I’m aware of!! He put on a fantastic show at the Arvest (Midland) venue in KCMO August 15th. We went with confidence that Vince would amaze us once again and he followed through and beyond! We couldn’t be happier with his performance!!

I do want to mention that I tripped going down the steps in the upper balcony bc it was SO dark. Either an usher should be available with flashlights in each area or tiny lights could be installed under the stair seating areas guiding you down the isles. There are also no railings to hold onto while going up and down the balcony seating areas so I accidentally put my hand on peoples’ knees and shoulders for balance.

I totally understand that you don’t want to change anything about the beauty of this venue but I believe there is a way to make it safer in the seating/ isle areas while keeping the integrity of the venue.

Thank you for a fantastic night! The hospitality was not fantastic but acceptable and the entire experience was very satisfying and enjoyable!

How To Buy Eagles Concert Tickets For What May Be Their Last Tour Ever

Get ready to “take it easy,” because the iconic and beloved soft rock ensemble, the Eagles, are performing live in Las Vegas at Sphere for a five-month residency. Fans can see them between September 2024 and January 2025, during which time they’ll perform a total of 20 concerts. The shows are taking place on Fridays and Saturdays spread across 10 weekends.

Hell is apparently still frozen over, because the Eagles are back on tour. Here's how to get Eagles ... [+] concert tickets.

The performances are open to all ages, so if you want to introduce the next generation of music lovers in your home to the long-running rock band, now is the time to do it. Indeed, this may be your last chance to check into “Hotel California,” since the Eagles’ final tour, The Long Goodbye , appears to have ended earlier this year (though a press release did note that the tour might extend into 2025). Here’s everything we know about how to buy Eagles concert tickets right now.

How To Get Tickets For The Best Concerts In 2024

How to get taylor swift tickets in 2024, where to buy tickets to eagles’ live in concert at sphere.

There are plenty of options to snag tickets to the Eagles’ Las Vegas residency on a variety of ticketing platforms, with some even offering suite reservations for a more luxurious concert experience.

How To Get Eagles Concert Tickets On Ticketmaster

The band links out to Ticketmaster on their official website, so this is a great place to start looking for tickets. Unfortunately, tickets are sold out for several dates but those that are still available start around $303—and these seats offer a limited view of the Sphere screen, but full view of the band and stage, according to Ticketmaster.

The platform also offers a suite reservation option for each concert date. Suite perks include “best-in-house box seats and an unforgettable view” for groups up to 24 people and a food and beverage package. Prices start at $25,000 and go up to $40,000.

How To Get Eagles Concert Tickets On StubHub

Prices on StubHub are slightly cheaper than Ticketmaster, starting at $268. There are plenty of tickets available for each date.

How To Get Eagles Concert Tickets On SeatGeek

SeatGeek starting price is slightly less than that of StubHub’s, with tickets beginning around $260. There is currently availability for every concert.

How To Get Eagles Concert Tickets On Vivid Seats

Prices start at $263 on Vivid Seats , with better deals available for December shows.

When Do Eagles Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets for the Eagles’ Las Vegas residency went on sale back in June , so head on over to your favorite ticketing platform before everything is gone. While several dates are sold out on Ticketmaster, all dates are currently available on StubHub, SeatGeek and Vivid Seats.

How Much Are Eagles Tickets?

General tickets start around $260-$300, depending on which platform you buy from, but prices go way up if you reserve a suite (available on Ticketmaster). Those packages begin at $25,000.

A good rule of thumb is the closer you are to the stage, the more expensive your ticket will be, especially if you have an unobstructed view. Some seats at the Las Vegas venue have a limited view of the Sphere screen, so keep that in mind when deciding where to sit.

Some ticket resellers offer better deals if you buy two or more seats at once—that's why it’s a good idea to coordinate with your group and buy the tickets in bulk rather than everyone buying their own ticket.

How a classic casino figures into the Eagles’ Vegas history

Joe Walsh showed up unexpectedly, alongside Drew Carey, for a late-night jam session.

Vince Gill, left, and Joe Walsh of the Eagles, who launch their Sphere residency Friday and Sat ...

It wasn’t quite the Hotel California. But a member of the Eagles once jammed at the hotel Riviera.

It was the mid-’90s, when the Lon Bronson Band were lords of the manor and Steve Schirripa (yes, the “Sopranos” and “Blue Bloods” actor) was burning through the hotel’s $2 million-per-year lounge budget as entertainment director.

Bronson’s band performed well past midnight every Monday at the since-demolished hotel’s Le Bistro Lounge. On at least a couple of occasions, Joe Walsh showed up unexpectedly, alongside Drew Carey.

The two were friends. Walsh usually played Carey’s season wrap party for his network TV show in L.A. The guitar great occasionally joined Carey’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway” live shows at the MGM Grand.

And Carey was friends with Bronson, whose band opened for Walsh at his L.A. parties.

On these nights at the Riv, Walsh took the stage unannounced and grabbed Jimmy McIntosh’s guitar. McIntosh in turn took a backup guitar, and the two jammed for the thrilled late-night crowd.

“He and I had these little guitar exchanges, back and forth, and it was a lot of fun,” McIntosh says. “He was really nice, funny. He’s an amazing musician, and the Eagles are just an incredible band.”

This remains true. The Eagles are opening their residency at the Sphere on Friday and Saturday. The series continues on select weekends through Jan. 25, over 20 dates.

Walsh’s arrival

A highly regarded, veteran Vegas musician, McIntosh is also a longtime music educator, a history of rock instructor at UNLV since 1989. He co-authored the 2010 tome “Rock ’n’ Roll Origins and Innovators” with fellow UNLV College of Fine Arts Vice Dean Tim Jones, a former professor of music.

This book is such a rocker that Ronnie Wood’s artwork is the cover. The updated version is still the text for McIntosh’s course.

He teaches from experience when analyzing rock music. McIntosh is an Eagles expert.

“You start with wonderful songwriting, then add great vocals and some talented musicianship,” he says. “But you have to have the songs, to begin with. If you don’t have the songs, you don’t have anything.”

McIntosh recalls the Eagles’ distinct marriage of differing styles in their early 1970s development.

“They had their own kind of California sound, and worked with a guy who was kind of a footnote, but really important, Gram Parsons,” McIntosh says. “He joined the Byrds at one point. He introduced country music to the rock scene in those days. Grateful Dead had those influences, the Byrds, and the Eagles were influenced by him.” (Parsons was also co-founder of the Flying Burrito Brothers, who performed at the ill-fated Altamont Free Concert in 1969. He died of a drug-alcohol overdose in September 1973.)

The arrival of Walsh in 1975 gave the Eagles a more traditional rock sound. Their first album with Walsh in the lineup, “Hotel California,” is among the most acclaimed and successful in rock history. The album has sold 32 million units.

“At that point, they had been more of a vocal band, and they weren’t as strong in the rock sense,” McIntosh says. “When they added him, that gave them much more of a rock element.”

‘Hugely important’

Walsh, Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey — the son of the late Glenn Frey — form the Eagles’ lineup for the Sphere.

“They’ve added so much. They have Vince Gill on guitar, and he’s a wonderful musician,” McIntosh says. “I mean, that guy’s better than most people realize. He’s kind of a virtuoso guitar player.”

Having shared the lounge stage with one Eagle, McIntosh is not surprised to see the band taking over the $2.3 billion wonder.

“They are just hugely important. You could argue that the Eagles and Beach Boys, historically, are the most important American bands,” he says. “Their songwriting, their harmonies have influenced so many other bands. With the Eagles, you just feel the performance is going to be perfect.”
