The base station can be found alongside the Alameda Gardens at the southern end of Main Street. Once at the top you will find three terraces, each offering a unique viewpoint over the stunning surroundings. Stretched out beneath you will see two continents, two bodies of water and three countries.

You will find our tailless monkey at the Cable Car Top Station, however, please be advised that although they look cute and tame, they are wild animals and must be treated with caution and respect.

For the more energetic, a very pleasant walk from the Top Station will take you into the Nature Reserve. St Michael’s Cave is a 20-minute downhill stroll away and is well worth a visit. Other sites of interest include the Great Siege Tunnels, the “City Under Siege” Exhibition and the Moorish Castle. Entrance to all the above attractions and the 100 Ton Gun are included in the Nature Reserve ticket, which you can purchase separately from the Cable Car base station or, alternatively, from the souvenir shop at the top station.

Also located at the Cable Car Top Station is the Top of the Rock Café and the Mons Calpe Suite Restaurant where you can enjoy a bite to eat whilst enjoying the spectacular views. If you are thinking of celebrating a wedding or a special occasion during your visit to the Rock, the Mons Calpe Suite can be hired for private functions. Welcome to gibraltar, where history, nature & culture seamlessly combine.

“Legend has it Hercules stood gazing at the land barrier keeping the Atlantic Ocean back from filling the Mediterranean desert. Looking left his hand grasped Mons Abyla, to his right he took hold of Mons Calpe. Summoning all his strength he pushed the two mountains apart opening a rift between Africa and Europe that still keeps the two continents apart to this day. It is here you will find the ‘Rock’, Gateway to the Mediterranean and the land of the Gibraltarian's, keepers of the Straits and Guardians of his legacy.”

  • British Overseas Territory
  • Language: English (official although Spanish is widely spoken)

‘The Rock’, formed millions of years ago has attracted thousands of visitors and we hope that after browsing this website you will be next. The Romans called it Mons Calpe, however the Moors called it ‘Jebel Tariq’ (Tariq’s Mountain) after General Tariq Ibn Zayed who captured it in AD 711. You and I know it as the ‘Rock of Gibraltar’. Although, we suggest you call it your next holiday because for a day, a long weekend or a full blown holiday you’ll not find a destination with the variety, sightseeing, weather or welcome in just over 6 square kilometres. The most famous landmark at the entrance to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar has literally been a place to stop for the nations of the world since the dawn of sailing. Gibraltarians, Britons, Spaniards, Italians, Maltese, Moors, Greeks, Visigoths, Romans and earliest of all, according to archaeological research, Neanderthal Man. They all came, seen, and all desired to conquer although few succeeded.

The very rock it is made out of is 200 million year old Jurassic Limestone and if that isn’t enough to blow your mind think of this, the geologists tell us that it is actually upside down! The rock on the top is older than the rock underneath, a pretty neat trick for rock that is formed from layer upon layer of sea sediment and shells from crustaceans. Positioned at the southern tip of the Iberian peninsular Gibraltar is not an island as many believe but an isthmus, which given it’s geographical location has earned itself a unique position in history. There are over 130 caves inside the Rock of which ancient people sheltered from the elements. In more recent times visitors have taken to the Rock for a different kind of refuge and each added to its blend of culture. Today Gibraltar enjoys a mixture of customs, a colourful language and a religious tolerance that is unique in the world. Gibraltarian’s are bi-lingual in both English and Spanish and after more than 300 years of British influence they have a British sense of humour and fair play with a Latin vibrancy. We hope you too will enjoy the enigma that is Gibraltar just like the millions of that come to explore the hidden secrets of the Rock before you.

  • 931laurencep 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great trip I have been up the rock a good few times, so wanted something a little shorter than a full day with the teenagers in tow. This was a great trip as we saw what we needed to. We learn't a good deal of history from Clive (excellent tour guide). The tour could have been longer, but Blands have other options. For what we paid, it was good value for money. For others, this is a great introduction to the rock and history. If you want to see a lot of the rock, then choose a longer tour. • Spencer P 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Brilliant Trip up the Rock Didn’t realise there was so much to see up The Rock, my Husband and I went away for a short break to Gibraltar, so obviously had to go up the Rock, unfortunately we weren’t able to use Cable Car as too windy, but asked the local operator beneath our hotel to take us up in a taxi, plenty of option, ie. Personal Tours or happy to share Taxi etc., they can drop you where you wish to go or they can drop you at each main viewing place. The driver was very knowledgeable and funny, he was able to transport us up to the top where the Skywalk is just done from where the Cable Car is. The views are astounding, plenty of different ways, down we chose to walk going to each place, so much to see I can go on.and on, but you’ll need to do it yourselves, siege tunnels very good, the WW11 tunnels still being worked on, all well worth visit. Monkeys were lovely and we experienced no problems, and plenty of information of what not to do, though other travellers didn’t listen as I did see one with a chocolate bar lol 😂. Please visit so interesting. Read more Written April 5, 2024

After being picked up, we then travelled to Gibraltar where we were met by our guide David (originally from Ireland). He was an excellent guide, very funny and kept us informed throughout the trip. He really made this trip memorable. The cave we saw was amazing and he then told us the best places to see the monkeys. We didn't feel rushed at all. David, is certainly a credit to your company. The shuttle departs every 30 mins (traffic, landing/taking off of planes may cause delays to the service). The GibraltarInfo shuttle buses have a sign on the front window. Any doubts, ask for assistance at the GibraltarInfo kiosk located on the Spanish side of the frontier.

Very nice Trip. We Explore Gibraltar on our own. We booked a cable car Ticket and saw many apes

Yannic 14/07/2023

Very good look around..

Was great. But many up and down Streits. And the Taxis in a Nature Reservat a to much.

Dietmar 13/07/2023

very useful and easy to use, it just didn't say that you had to go to the ticket office to exchange your electronic tickets for paper tickets, which delayed entry.

Impressive attraction

Nice views, interesting cave.

Rami 11/07/2023

Skipped the line.

We were able to skip an hour line by purchasing online. It was completely hassle free.

Tina 11/07/2023

Gibraltar cable car..

Long queue although we had already purchased!! Cable car , drywall & caves good. W11 tunnels closed but offered & no refund so ticket price not worth the money..2 many taxi on the natire reserve which was a pain to get passed.

Rose 11/07/2023

Try it once.

It was definitely worth arriving early, as it wasn’t as hot and there was no line to go up. The views from the top are very pretty, but it was a bit expensive for what we got.

Curtis 11/07/2023

Good experience.

Good experience! All the staff is very kind and helpfull. It's a pitty that the IIWW shelters are closed.

Victor 10/07/2023

Long waiting time up with pre-paid ticket..some pictures on the top..some tired monkeys..the view is nice

Roland 09/07/2023

Good family morning out.

Really enjoyed the experience. Great family morning out exploring the history and geography of Gibraltar

David 09/07/2023

Fantastic experience

Really enjoyed our day although signage and route not always clear. St Michaels caves were incredible. The walk down from the top was very long and the WW2 tunnels were shut which had not been made clear unfortunately.

Lucy 09/07/2023

Rigtig fin tur. Kan kun anbefale at købe incl naturreservatet. Er du i normal form kan du sagtens gå ned til byen i stedet for at gå op igen og tage cable car ned.

Gibraltar rock nature reserve

We had a lovely day, only complaint is the signage could be better to help us follow the various trails and avoid taking the wrong turns!!

Hing 07/07/2023

Cable car one way and nature reserve ticket..

The cable car was ok and well organised. Unfortunately the upper station looked and smelled like a 1960s NCP multi storey car park. Restaurant staff were abrupt and rude telling several customers they couldn’t get anything to eat or drink unless they booked 24 hours beforehand. The nature reserve could do with clearer signage and it was unfortunate that the WW2 tunnels were closed for essential maintenance. The service at St Michaels cabin was excellent. The other exhibits and attractions were enjoyable.

Ian 07/07/2023

Almost everything was perfect. i only missed the middle cable station which would be great on the backway.

Adam 06/07/2023

Great visit, too short.

It’s a good idea to start early because once you’re in the park there are SO many things to do. We were brave and went through the monkey’s den, but we respected them and their space, not trying to interact with them. It was such a laugh because we were afraid of them, but it was a great experience. St Michael’s cave was also so lovely. We’ll have to see Gorham’s Cave and the Mediterranean steps another time though.

Jamie 06/07/2023

Easy to buy tickets worth every penny.

Buying tickets for visiting the Rock was easy. I chose one out of 3 choices paid and the tickets were emailed to me immediately. Buying online allowed me to get a free shuttle from the airport to the cable car. The journey on the cable car was quick, only 6 minutes but enough to enjoy it. Once up on the Rock,we enjoyed the view of every side. Then we visited the Skywalk and continued in the Nature Reserve as far as Spyglass battery and Douglas lookout. Then, we turned around and we're absolutely wowed with St Michael's cave. I recommend the sights, the visit and spending even longer visiting the Gibraltar Rock.

Georgia 06/07/2023

Ok experience.

The line for the prepaid tickets and the regular tickets wasn’t much different. I was hoping we’d get in faster but still had to wait an hour. The attractions in the nature preserve were cool. I really enjoyed the monkeys.

Morgen 05/07/2023

Nice but expensive.

The cable car ride is very nice, but a bit expensive. I would rate it 5 stars if it were cheaper.

Keigo 05/07/2023

Now exhausted but very much worth it.

Fab time on the rock and walking down - visiting all the places - only thing was that didn’t realise just how long it was going take to walk down!!!!

Jackie 03/07/2023

Service and experience overall was great. Humidity high, too.

Goran 03/07/2023

Good way to the top but don’t walk back down.

Had a super journey up the rock having paid £33 senior charge one way which included all entries to the various attractions We decided to walk down the rock from St Michael cave rather than walking back up to the top station! The walk down hill was good until you hit the unpaved short cut foot path. Treacherous Not recommended for the I’ve 70s

Alun 02/07/2023

Perfect package.

It was a really special day thanks to you! You made sure that we can catch our attractions in time and helped me out when l booked a wrong ticket. Thank you!

Oliwia 01/07/2023

Rock of gibraltar.

The cable car ride is good. The place needs more directions and plates to let people know the way to go.

Govind 29/06/2023

Pre purchasing tickets makes your wait in the queue less..

Gibraltar is absolutely lovely! Our trip on the cable car went smoothly, although we never could find the free shuttle bus, so we paid to use the buses.

Vickie 27/06/2023

Amazing experience.

We walked up the rock and took the cable car down. Was an amazing experience, well worth the money.

Jakob 27/06/2023

Easy and fluent.

All fluent and flexible. Easy option for in and out- trip to the Rock. Air conditioned shuttle.

Henri 27/06/2023

Worth the ride.

Great ride! Was worth the price we paid.

David 27/06/2023

Had a great time!

susan 27/06/2023

Absolutely perfect and fast service!! We were on Gobraltar more times before but for a first time by ticket online and it is really faster and more comfortable

Anna 26/06/2023

That was a great experience!

Oliver 26/06/2023

Gibraltar visit.

Bus driver was enthusiastic and informative. Connections went smoothly and the experience at the top was amazing.

Thomas 26/06/2023

Great experience, robbie 23/06/2023, super, da spaß gemacht.

Hat alles gut geklappt

Julia 23/06/2023

Can’t miss the nature reserve in gabratar..

Amazing to see apes running around freely and the St Michaels cave was truly awesome.

Sheralyn 21/06/2023

Amazing at the top.

Quick and easy, 10 minute wait, monkeys and views wow

Christine 21/06/2023

Gibraltar sight seeing..

Great time. Fantastic view from the cable car and top of the rock. A variety of things in the nature reserve. Had a very enjoyable day.

Paula 20/06/2023

Good overall.

I was happy that I bought tickets online and saved a lot of time in prepaid waiting line. Shuttle bus service from the border was also nice. Overall experience was what I expected, especially the monkeys. Unfortunately WW2 tunnels was closed.

Petri 20/06/2023

So much to see..

Great day, so much to see which makes it physically challenging to do everything. It would be much better to have a two day ticket option, ideally with 2 one way rides (e.g upwards) for the same price as the current up and down option.

Terence 20/06/2023

Buy in advance to vastly reduce queue time.

Bought online - very quick and efficient. Reduced queue time from 3 hours to 1.5 hours so well worth buying your ticket in advance.

Sima 20/06/2023

Cable car ride.

A bit of a long line but that was expected with a cruise ship in port. The ride was very smooth to the top. Walked down and we were able to see lots of the sights.

Darryl 20/06/2023

Easy time saver.

Easy to buy and shaved us time in line!

Dallan 19/06/2023

Great views.

On a busy day , wait wasn’t too long , great view

Sandra 18/06/2023

Top of the rock.

very easy process, the shuttle worked out the Upper Reserve was fun but very hilly. We measured 47 flights worth of climbing. St Michael's cave not to be missed.

Kathryn 17/06/2023

Verry nieko experience

Saulenis 15/06/2023

Seamless transaction. Bought cable car and nature reserve tickets online, everything printed off fine at the cable car ticket window with a quick scan of the email, and a spectacular experience to follow. Many thanks.

Richard 14/06/2023

A perfect day.

What a fantastic day out! We had arrived on a cruise ship and our time was short but the lady at the cable car did everything she could to make sure that we got up and down in time to go on our dolphin cruise. The dolphin cruise was absolutely outstanding with a wonderful crew and the best dolphin spotting I (or the crew!) have ever seen. Thanks to all for making this the most memorable day of our entire cruise!

Gareth 14/06/2023

On top of the rock.

A very easy ride to the top of the rock. Lovely view of Gibraltar down below. Pleased I read a review to get there early with prepaid tickets. We made the first Car of the day and the best weather, as the mist came down later.

Moyra 13/06/2023

Very friendly and informative about the sites available.

Joseph 11/06/2023

Fabulous views..

Fast & efficient ride although to me a little scary as I have a bit of a height fear. Absolutely brilliant views at the top. So long as you follow the rules you’ll have no problems with the monkey’s but someone didn’t and they lost their lunch. Overall I wouldn’t have missed it and would do again.

Stephen 10/06/2023

Great views.

All perfect innour visit to the cable car. Very recomendable experience. Great views from the top of the rock!!!

MANUEL 09/06/2023

Sezgin 07/06/2023, good choice, when in gibraltar.

great view, we were on the second cable car that day, weather was pretty english, but the car park was easy to find and the people were nice and helpful.

Victoria 07/06/2023

Laze 06/06/2023, a relaxing afternoon between apes and nature.

Bueatutiful experience, unfortunatly I don't have too much time to see everythings

Simone 02/06/2023

I used the shuttle free pick and return from cable cable to the frontier. As I bought the ticket online I was able to go straight to collect the ticket but you then had to wait in the queen what was nearly 1 hour wait. All in all a good experience

Phyllis 02/06/2023

Clouds with a view.

Had a great time, the view and the pathways on the top of the hill are very nice! Its still worth a visit even its cloudy, watching the clouds floating up close is remarkable.

Gyöngyvér 02/06/2023

Nice experience.

Is better bring the tickets also printed.

Patricia 01/06/2023

St michael‘s cave was my favourite.

Great. The monkeys and St. Michael‘s cave are a unique experience.

Markus 01/06/2023

Toni 31/05/2023

A day in gibraltar.

I can't imagine walking to the top and cheers to you that can. We got off our ship early, walked to the airport then walked thru town to the Cable Car as they opened with a short line. Get the nature reserve pass as well (these are sold together). Note, it won't include the WWII area which is another ticket, which I plan to see next time. BIG NOTE, what you hear about the monkeys is true. No dangling necklaces and I witnessed a big one jump on a man's backpack while he was wearing it. I had a small backpack/purse so I put it on one shoulder so I could drop it easily. They are so cute and the babies are adorable, but we did see two males fighting. Go see Michael's Cave. There was a great 10 minute show at the end. The walk down was steep but mostly doable, but our feet were very sore that night. If you need to take the Cable Car down (keep your ticket that says "Return", then after the Cave is when you should go back to the Cable Car. If you continue, then you are committed to walking down (unless you like walking uphill. I'm 54 and was able to walk down. Not too sure I'll be able to when I get back one day.

Bonnie 30/05/2023

Great experience! Highly recommend. Ride up and take the paths down loved the caves.

Lisa 30/05/2023

Purchased tickets on line and presented my digital copy at the ticket office. It worked like a charm. No hassles and we promptly boarded the cable car for the trip to the top of the Rock.

Harry 29/05/2023

This was a great experience for us as we enjoy walking and saw most of the sights, though forgot to do the suspension bridge so disappointed. We enjoyed all the attractions thoroughly. Disappointed that we didn’t have any commentary as couldn’t get the wi fi / app to work. An audio guid would have added so much more. We walked about 17 kms including walking down the rock to town. Lots of uphill but we enjoyed it.

Lydia 29/05/2023

Everything worked out fine. The rock and the apes are just lovely and worth visiting.

Valerie 29/05/2023

Well worth it.

Fantastic day - so much to see

Stuart 29/05/2023

Great way to get to the top. Only actually took two minutes to get to the top and not six as stated. If you want to go back down in the cable car and aren’t very mobile don’t wander too far as it may be too difficult to get back. Views from top are spectacular.

Leanne 27/05/2023

Great way to see the top.

Great way to see the rock using cable car to go up and then walk down. We only had under 4 hours, it would take 6 hours to really enjoy everything on nature reserve ticket!

Augostina 27/05/2023

Alles Super

Andrzej 26/05/2023

Quick ride and nice view and attractions

R 25/05/2023

Great way to get to the top.

The ride was smooth, quick frequent enough and a great view & well priced

Brett 23/05/2023

Great nature and adventure.

We had great time-caves,monkeys,many steps and beautiful views

Nikolinka 22/05/2023

Worked like a charm.

Everything worked as advertised. We skipped the regular lines and got the site tickets without any hiccups.

Micky 20/05/2023

U won’t regret.

Everything was made so easy. Fun experience.

Judy 20/05/2023

Safe family fun.

Friendly and safe experience and very clean well maintained areas.

Thurman 20/05/2023

Alles hat gut funktioniert

Wilhelm 20/05/2023

Very nice day in gibraltar.

We have had a wonderful day at the rock in Gibraltar. It all started with the Cable Car getting us up. We were lucky that there was cloudy weather the day we were there. Could do a lot of walking and sightseeing. In one word Wonderful!

Pieter 18/05/2023

Booking itself and all related to it went without any problems. Speaking about Gibraltar, we recommend everybody to visit it. Unforgettable experience - stunning views, places with history behind and, last but not least, ubiquitous macaques which pose to photos and create climate of that region.

Klaudia 17/05/2023

Easy online experience.

Online experience in buying the tickets was easy. Would have appreciated clearer instructions or signage on how to find the shuttle bus. Ended up asking the Travel Information as you go through customs and a local bus driver. Shuttle bus driver very helpful and friendly.

Dennis 17/05/2023

A great tour with cable car.

We could take the bus directly at the frontier. And comming to cable car we get at once our tickets while other persons hat to wait.

Ute 16/05/2023

Great value all access ticket.

Had a wonderful time on the rock, overall great value for money

Gareth 14/05/2023

Great except shuttle bus.

Great trip with the one exception, the reliability of the shuttle bus, waited 50 minutes.

Anne 13/05/2023

Trip to the top.

Very good experience with the cable car. No wait to buy tickets.

Steve 11/05/2023

Nice contact, refund without problem

Kirsten 11/05/2023

Great views!

Brahim 11/05/2023

Sunday best day.

Is was super. Sunday is a good day for visit the Rock with Cable Car. Few People.

Roland 08/05/2023

Gibraltar in one morning.

We had a great experience booking online! Efficient and fast! Arrived for one of the early morning trips up the Rock! It was great. The highlight was our visit to St. Michael’s Cave - fantastic light show! Lots of walking! Really high pathways- not for the faint of heart!

Jim 08/05/2023

Easy and fast ticket purchase, long waiting for the car..

However the voucher exchange went well, and that was super fast, the queuing for the car, was still quite tireing specially for older people. and tumultuous. Maybe as it was 1st of May, I am not sure...

Karoly 07/05/2023

Definitely the experience of a lifetime and should not be missed.

Don 06/05/2023

Outstanding view’s.

Loved the experience, personal’s were pleasant and helpful. Only downside was the I got my hat stolen that jumped on the cable car ounce we’ve arrived at the top and There was a open trap on top of me that I haven’t noticed, a few seconds and It was taken by a monkey. Nothing major, might as well laugh about it

DANIEL 06/05/2023

Great place to spend a day. Ticket price too expensive and half of attractions closed. Fortunately we prefer outdoors than indoors so wasn't too bad for us

Michal 05/05/2023

Cable car visit.

This was given as an Anniversary gift for family visiting Gibraltar comment made was that is what a wonderful gift to have been able to do

DEBORAH 05/05/2023

Bucket list item checked off.

The tram was quick, the wait wasn’t bad. Line moved pretty quickly. The view was fabulous. The monkeys are cool to see. The crumbling fort and Wi-Fi story were really great. Border crossing slow. Bring passport.

Kari 05/05/2023

Fantastic experience and views from cable car. The only one think to improve is to stop on the middle station.

Anton 04/05/2023

Worthy of your time view awesome..

Glad we did this cable car ride. The view was great.

Carol 04/05/2023

Cable car and natural reserve day out.

This was a lovely day out, lots of walking but definately worth it. We went up in the cable car, had to wait a while, and gradually came down walking as we saw the sights.

Rosina 03/05/2023

Cable car up, walk down.

The cable car ride to the top was fun. From there we walked down, it took about 3 hours but we saw the sky bridge, cave, suspension bridge, apes den, siege tunnels (very interesting), and the castle. The ticket to the reserve is a ticket to all the exhibitions in the reserve. A few places have you scan the ticket again to enter. For us it was the perfect way to see the "rock". The walk down was very tiring but worth the effort.

Kent 02/05/2023

Está bien pero.....

Habían cerrado la estación intermedia y para volver en funicular había que subir todo de nuevo por lo que bajamos andando después de pagarlo

Encarnacion 01/05/2023

Beautiful day.

Buying tickets was verg easy. We missed the Bridge because Thérèse were no clean signs.

Geerarda 01/05/2023

Gibraltar is the best rock., jana 01/05/2023.

Most all was great. Only problem, we were told if we couldn't walk all the way down when done, we could catch mid cable car. Waited 30 minutes for car only to be told it was closed that day and had to walk all the way from top to parking. The map for the the rock is not accurate also. But it was a beautiful place and an adventure.

Jane 30/04/2023

Fine experience.

There was a little problem with checking in our booked tickets, but besides that everything was fine.

David 30/04/2023

Amazing walk.

Taking the cable car to the top and walking all the way down was incredible. We did it in late April and first thing in the morning, so it was still a little cool (and windy at the top) and not crowded at all. Though it's a well-maintained paved road, you feel like you are in the woods a bit. The monkeys are beautiful to look at as well.

Jessica 30/04/2023

Gibraltar i rezerwat przyrody.

Wspaniałe przeżycie, niezapomniane widoki , nawet zdjęcia nie oddadzą tego co oko widziało. SUPER

Wieslawa 28/04/2023

Great, but remember print it at the cashier.

There was about 1hour waiting time without prepaid tickets and I decided to by tickets by using your app. Everything went well and I was in 15minutes at the cable car. Anyway, the guard said that the mobile ticket alone is not valid and he send me back to cashier to print the receipt. Small inconvinience, but something to notice when using mobile ticket.

Tapio 27/04/2023

Save money.

Dont buy Cable Car Return, you just need Cable Car One Way, because you need to climb all mountain to use your return cable car!!! Save money!

Joao 27/04/2023

Please open the middle station of the cable car.

Great! Wunderful! We loved it! But so sad, the middle station of the cable car is not used. We (both 65+) bought a return ticket cable-car. But if you do the attractions, you're on half the rock, near to the middle station. We considered: walking up or down. We went down, a very bad walking path. But going up also would be hard. It was very tough. Would be nice if the middle station should be opened. Then you really can use the return ticket in a nice way.

Helena 26/04/2023

Monkey business.

The day out was brilliant, fantastic views hard going on the feet as some steep inclines but if you do it at your own pace you'll be fine have done with a taxi before but cable car return much better

Deborah 25/04/2023

An incredible amount of history and.

The cable car is the best way to get to the top of The Rock - cheaper than the vans/busses and gives you much more freedom to explore at your own pace. We spent 7 hours up there exploring the incredible amount of history. The combined Nature Reserve ticket for all attractions makes it good value as well. The views were incredible too. The middle station is currently closed so visitors need to decide early on whether to stay close to the top station or walk all the way down to town.

Harry 24/04/2023

Great views, funny apes.

Cable car ride was great, hardly any queues. We were travelling with two pushchairs though which was difficult as there were stairs to board the cable car and at the top of the rock. We were warned on buying tickets and decided to proceed but a baby carrier would definitely be advised! The apes were very active and got some great pictures and videos. Again, they loved to go through stuff in bottom of pushchair so make sure everything is in bags. They did leave things alone once they realised there was no food though and was a funny and memorable interaction with them.

Grant 24/04/2023

Gibraltar cable car.

Great. Good service.

Robert 24/04/2023

Gibralter up , up and away.

There is just not enough information once you get off the tram. The signage is minimal at that point and no one available to help. I kept trying to connect to the Wi-Fi program that was included with my ticket purchase. No one mentioned that I had been given a code to scan. I put the paper away and didn’t look at it until I got home. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Thomas 22/04/2023

Great experiance.

It was a great Experiance! We had to wait about 15 minutes for our Shuttle Bus to get us in an 10 minutes ride to the cable Station. There was no queue for the online tickets. The ride was about 6 minutes. You don't get to the highest point, but you've got a great view non the less. We also bought the entry für the Parc. There we just did the skywalk, which was nice. The middle Station was closed, so we walked up again and were happy that we bought the return ride down as well, because it would have been a long walk down... The cable car Station is about 10 minutes walking distance away from the main street.

Eva 21/04/2023

Great experience a little bit cheaper, but it saves you times when you go to collect your ticket.

Yasser 20/04/2023

Very good trip

Eileen 19/04/2023

Great ride on top of the rock.

Great trip on the rock of Gibraltar

Marvin 18/04/2023

Maria estefania 18/04/2023, less waiting.

We were in a long queue waiting for a cable car. I decided to buy tickets online and saw this site. I was registered in minutes and bought the tickets so was able to jump to the front of the queue.

Andy 18/04/2023

Good but too expensive.

The experience was good but the price was way to expensive for this!

Carsten 15/04/2023

Wonderful experience.

We recommend to take the cable + nature reserve combined tickets. Cable car gets you quickly up and then you can walk on the rock all day :). Skywalk is fantastic, St Michael's Cave was a pleasant surprise and also other attractions are worth to see. Get up early, take one of the first cable cars up and you´ll avoid bigger groups of tourists coming later. Don´t forget the Windsor suspension bridge! What is a bit disturbing are the taxi minibuses driving through the reservation. This could be limited, because there were 10 of them at the Skywalk during the lunchtime at the same time. But in the end it won't bother you, because in good weather you can see from the UK to Morocco and Spain and take a picture with the monkeys :).

Martin 15/04/2023

Tips for saving.

Cable car worked great, the visit to the natural reserve was also very enjoyable BUT couple of recommendations: 1) if you plan to visit the reserve, no need to buy the return ticket for the cable car. Once you are halfway down to see at Michael's cave or the suspended bridge, you are more likely to continue walking down to the siege tunnels than back up. This saves 2.5£ pp 2) if you can, reserve afternoon tea or other meal top of the rock. This includes the cable car ride... For less or equal money than the cable car! In the case of the tea. For example, 18£ tea, then buy reserve ticket individually... And for the same price or a couple quid less you actually get food and bubbly up there!

Daniel 14/04/2023

Easy one way.

All good :)

Sandra 13/04/2023

Checked off bucket list.

The trip to the top of Gibraltar was great. We really enjoyed the experience, took some great pictures and had to wait until the monkey let go of my husband’s ball cap to retrieve it!! What a fun memory!!

Leslie 13/04/2023

The ticket is a bit pricy for my taste but who wants to miss the 'Rock' once in Gibraltar. Seeing the shores of Africa and the monkey is a nice experience. It might be worth to time your visit to see a plane departing the airport as it emerges from behind the Rock. Don't wait in the line, buy tickets online.

Miro 13/04/2023

Easy to buy.

Quickly and easily bought online tickets for the Gibraltar cable car and used them straightaway.

Wendy 12/04/2023

Gran experiencia.

Vanesa 11/04/2023

Quite fast service at a decent price.

The service was well provided considering there were a lot of tourists waiting to use the service.

Emanuele 09/04/2023

Afternoon in gibraltar.

Very quick ride up the rock. Ill advise you to purchase a ticket including the reserve. Michael's cave was a nice surprise. However, too many taxis on the reserve roads spoiled the experience. Iddling doesnt seem to be an issue here

Joelle 09/04/2023

Great to go top of the rock! Beautiful views. Online only possible to buy tickets by credit cards , would be nice to have more payment options

Ernst 08/04/2023

Overall a good experience. The only thing that needs improvement is the line for pre purchased tickets. We waited as the sign on the gate said and no one waved us over. We finally had to make our way through the crowd to access the window and then got our tickets. There should be a separate line all the way to the cable car or at least an entry point to the regular line where you aren’t cutting into the crowd.

Views are incredible, people friendly, def a must if visiting Gibraltar!

Michelle 08/04/2023

Spectacular.

Great overall experience, definitely worth going up for some spectacular views. And or course the monkeys!!

Aleksandras 08/04/2023

Amazing trip with stunning views.

So good trip. Only negative thing was that the shuttle bus back to the frontier ended 4.15 and we came back at 6 so we needed to take a different bus back to the frontier.

Toivo 07/04/2023

Online booking.

Decided to buy tickets while waiting in a long queue having seen the QR code on the signs. Relatively easy to buy and download the tickets, however we nearly missed getting the paper ticket that we needed to show because it wasn’t clear online or at the cable car station that we then had to go to the pre-booked window to get the paper tickets

Jon 07/04/2023

The rock rocks.

Our experience was great. We had a wonderful time. The mapping and information package we received at the cable car was somewhat complicated and confusing, but the pathways on the Nature Reserve walk were safe and helpful. We would visit again to be sure.

David 06/04/2023

Everything worth it.

The staff was great, cable car was clean, the views are fabulous, we had breakfast in the restaurant at the top and it was delicious.

Keith 06/04/2023

Need better signs for the walk down.

The fast track - pre booking was perfect and worth it. Had a good lunch at the top. Walked down. It’s an 1:30 walk down and it was complicated because the signs directing the way back to Rowan are unclear and confusing

John 04/04/2023

All just worked

David 04/04/2023

Bucket list gibraltar.

Easy to access the services The whole experience was amazing

Lyne 04/04/2023

Nature reserve tour.

Loved the experience but would have liked prior notice that the world war 2 tunnels were closed as done the tour for that reason to visit with my son. Other than thay everything else was very good

Steven 02/04/2023

Better than it was 20 yrs ago because auf numerous new attractions

Birthe 02/04/2023

Great service and experience. Cable car up and walked down. Half way down it was possible to get on the cable car too but we continued the walk

Eva 01/04/2023

Brilliant trip a must do trip great ride brilliant views

Paul 28/03/2023

Easy process.

Easy process to buy tickets for cable car and nature reserve while on my cruise. Only downside was cable car return was not possible due to high winds resulting in a very long and steep walk to the cruise port.

ROBERT 28/03/2023

Viaje en familia.

Todo muy bien, muy contentos.

Lala amalia 26/03/2023

Simply beautiful

Sven 25/03/2023

They could use better signage.

John 23/03/2023

It was a Great trip and a lot to experience. The St Michaels cave was pretty cool. Great trip and I Nice town.

Peter 19/03/2023

Vorbestellung war schnell erledigt, kein Anstellen für Kartenkauf

Georg 19/03/2023

The taxis tours were driving in high speed and not respecting the tourist that were walking. The cable car could carrier less people.

André 19/03/2023

Great but expensive.

not much of a queue, fast ride to the top, wonderful views and attractions up there. However I do find it to be very expensive.

JASON 18/03/2023

An absolute must.

Excellent experience

Michelle 18/03/2023

Gilbert 18/03/2023

A great but expensive experience.

The cable car seemed overpriced for such a short ride. Otherwise, great service. It is a shame that cars are allowed into the nature reserve, disturbing both monkeys and tourists, leaving very short sections of trails where there is only foot traffic.

Balazs 17/03/2023

A must activity.

A must experience while in Gibraltar, a great day and the view was amazing.

Rachel 17/03/2023

Go to gibraltar, sandra 15/03/2023, roberto 14/03/2023, great experience, zóra 14/03/2023, nature reserve.

I found the map and signage a little confusing it could be clearer.

Mary 13/03/2023

Cruise day in gibraltar.

We had a lot of fun. I did rain the day we went so most of the nature reserve exhibits were not open or available for access. The moneys were fun and st Michael's cave made it all worth it.

Valerie 10/03/2023

Badly signposted.

Very beautiful views but the nature reserve is very badly signposted. I bought the return ticket but this is pointless as you walk all the way back in attempt to find the attractions but still miss most.

Katharine 10/03/2023

Enjoyed gibralter.

Loved the experience and buying the tickets and finding the location was a breeze. We wish they had to.d us that many of the sites were down and unavailable. We decided since that was the case to walk down from St. Michael’s cave versu walking back uphill to take the tram down. That turned out to be a mistake as the signage was poor and we took a few paths that did not lead down the mountain then back tracked. We loved St Michael’s Cave and the views from up above were fantastic so I would have give it a five out of five review, but would reduce it to four because of what I mentioned. Highly recommend you go and enjoy but ask what sites are open in advance.

Ryan 07/03/2023

Empfehlung.

Es war kühl, es hat geregnet, dafür umso mehr Delphine gesehen. Empfehlung!

Sabine 06/03/2023

Very easy to purchase- Didn’t find any shuttle bus to the cable cabin so a fast walk. All included at Gibraltar - and a very nice day

Teresia 05/03/2023

HYO YOUNG 01/03/2023

Very beautiful views

Lucian 28/02/2023

Super útil haber sacado previamente los tickets. Lo que no sabíamos es que teníamos traslado gratis desde migraciones hasta la base del cablecar. Nos lo informaron ahí mismo y fue muy útil para no tener que caminar tanto

ANDREA 28/02/2023

Top to the top.

Quick process to buy, easy to checkin, nice ride

Dieter 25/02/2023

Altogether excellent.

We were early 10.30 before the morning rush. Glorious weather but still chilly at the top. Great views and coffee. Nature Reserve was worth the extra but the ups and downs give your thighs a good workout. Monkeys were docile and ignored us as we ignored them. Altogether excellent and a great bucket list trip.

Timothy 24/02/2023

Rol 23/02/2023

Quick visit to nature reserve.

We really enjoyed our ride on the cable car and our time in the nature reserve. We didn't have much time but managed to see a lot. We did a good walk from the top station to the skywalk then the caves then to Windsor Bridge and got the cable car down from the middle station. However, it wasn't clear that this was possible until we got there. What would have helped is better signage - A clear map and some signposts showing the distances between attractions.

Ann 22/02/2023

Andreas 21/02/2023.

Buying the tickets was very easy and all information necessary was included on the site. Once at the cable car the Attendent was super nice and helpful. I did not have internet service so she used her wifi info on my phone to pull up the tickets for me in only a few minutes. Overall the entire experience was wonderful and made a great start to my visit!!

Ronald 21/02/2023

Great adventure.

We had a great experience riding the cable car up to the top of the Rock in Gibraltar. We took the cable car up, and walked down after exploring. It was super easy to book online and inexpensive. When we arrived at the cable car, there was no line, and we were quickly able to get into the facility and onto a tram. The ride up was easy and smooth, despite it being a windy day. The cable car base station is located on the edge of a public parking lot, which was very convenient. (Just be careful where you park - yellow spaces require a parking permit, white are free, and blue are pay to park.) The cable car definitely made our day exploring the rock much easier (and there are lots of fun things to see, so I highly recommend it!).

Jessie 21/02/2023

A good day..

Lots to see. The cave is amazing. Need to be fit to walk to all the attractions.

Charles 20/02/2023

Great morning on the Rock, we loved the monkeys & suspension bridge. Great views

Stephen 19/02/2023

Need to give more info on temporary closures.

The monkeys were great but several of the exhibits (like O'Hara battery) were closed and it meant there were a lot of dead ends. If you close the only exhibit on a path you should put down a temporary rope or something with a sign so people don't have to walk all the way there and be disappointed.

Keith 18/02/2023

Yes off course. It was great time. Thank you

Krzysztof 16/02/2023

Picturesque scenery - funny monkeys.

It was a wonderful experience. We bought the return cable car and nature reserve combo tickets. We were informed well, got a little package, and took the cable car up the rock. However, it would have been enough to buy the one-way only as we walked back down as you can enjoy the reserve more. If you happen to walk down count on a trip you will love but become exhausted by the end, and then the in the next few days you won't forget because of the pain in your legs! Beware of the monkeys, they take anything out of your hands or from your shoulders or from your head e.g. a bag, or sunglasses. Backpacks needed!

Zsuzsanna 16/02/2023

A good fun experience. Easiest way to the top

Keith 15/02/2023

Recommended.

Superb! Well worth the money, no queues. The caves were amazing.

Helen 14/02/2023

It's definitely a highlight of visiting Gibraltar.

Adam 13/02/2023

Ptasinski 03/02/2023, online tickets for cable car gibraltar.

Good possibility to buy the tickets online. Thank you!

Why it’s necessairy to create an account? I like it more to pay directly per creditcard.

Ulrike 02/02/2023

Fantastic, just wish we hadn’t run out of time

Mim 31/01/2023

Rock of gibraltar cable car experience.

We had a good outing on the cable car at the Rock of Gibraltar, walking through the Nature Reserve and visiting the skywalk and caves. It would have been useful to know the time which should have been allowed for each of the activities so we could plan our day better. Also, we were not able to get any information about the halfway station so had to walk all the way back up to the top (at a very fast pace) to return to the cable car in time for the last trip.

Wendy 29/01/2023

Not enough information on the routes.

very nice place but there is not enough information on the routes

Piotr 29/01/2023

A wonderful experience is gibraltar.

Great experience for the whole family. Friendly monkeys, pleasant temperature, wonderful sights

Szabolcs 28/01/2023

Easy process, appreciated the free shuttle to the base of the cable car. Afraid we missed the last return so had to get a cab back to the border…it would be nice if the shuttle ran later. Want crowded but our advanced online purchase let us skip the line. View from the top is amazing!

Rita 27/01/2023

Top of the rock.

Great service and great experience.

Andrew 12/01/2023

Good and convenient way to travel up and down :). Also beautiful sightseeing on the way!

Michelle 11/01/2023

Gibraltar cable car.

Fantastic! Highly recommend.

Colleen 09/01/2023

Cable car to full.

Very good experience, but they do put a lot of people in the cable car, so it's difficult to get a good view, thankfully a nice lady let our 4 year old grandson on to the seat at the front so he could see

David 07/01/2023

Everything was great and the personal at the cable car carriage was really kind, helpful and friendly.

Silvia 06/01/2023

Amazing site. bad service at bottom..

Great once got up cable car but was difficult to download tickets that i had previously purchased online. First lady (younger one) was not helpful and quite rude. Second lady was kind and helpful.

Cristin 05/01/2023

Great view.

Ulf 04/01/2023

Hmmm - good & bad.

We loved the cable car, the rock and the monkeys.

We find it as a great miracle to have such locally.

Such said, all the Taxi’s honking and shouting is not good for us as local’s nor for the tourists.

This is a must change, or demand they are silent and does not disturb in the middle of a Nature Reservat ;-( seems of that we are entering what most would believe is a peacefull version, the taxi’s of Gibraltar destroy such by the version of behaviour.!!!! Not impressed.!!

Further you should limit the access to a few number at a time, they blocked the full road - hence we went to visst Monkey’s, only Monkey’s on the rock was the Taxi drivers when speaking of behaviour.

Other than such it is amazing, the wildlife that it in peace with Rock - and creates such an experience for us a locals and the tourists… food for thought…

Rasmus 03/01/2023

Buona esperienza, ma sterebbe stato corretto avvertire che la funivia chiudeva a metà giornata

Fabio 01/01/2023

Visiting the rock of gibraltar, chandan 30/12/2022, could be amazing with more information.

Very little information available about tracks, distances…

Philippe 29/12/2022

Totally recomended.

Everything went absolutely fine. Mini bus was located right after the boarding control, there was no queue for tickets and my family and I had an amazing time up the Rock.

Fabricio 24/12/2022

Beautiful views of the rock.

Absolutely beautiful views at the top of the rock, it's a shame though that we cldnt see the rest of the sites because the cable car is far too expensive!! Which is sad really and hence the 3 star.

Brenda 24/12/2022

Excellent customer service. Absolutely amazing trip.

Elizabeth 24/12/2022

The rock really rocks.

We loved the Cable Car and the Skywalk., But were really thrilled at discovering St Michael's Cave. Who would have thought that such a beautiful spot was there underneath our feet? All the area is a good hike worthwhile. The Windsor Suspension Bridge is an amazing view and a shaking (just a little for the thrill) experience. The Moorish Castle and the WWII tunnels were really interesting but hard to get to. We only wished routes were clearer and every sign well directed. We climbed down from the Middle station at the Cable Car, just to discover we had left the Moorish Castle and WWII tunnels behind and above. So we had to walk up dangerously by narrow steep streets without pavement. I would demand vehicles and taxis that drive along the reserve were only electric. Taxis are a constant threat to pedestrians, occupying most of the narrow paths and leaving a trace of diesel fumes behind. All in all, we were happily exhausted and simply loved it and discovered there is much more to the Rock than a rock.

Anabel 09/12/2022

Nature Reserve is a must-see spot in Gibraltar. I really enjoyed my visit ☀️

Pawel 08/12/2022

The only negative is that you put far too many people in the cable cars and so the enjoyment of the ride is marred. Friendly staff

Anne 07/12/2022

Walking the rock.

We enjoyed visiting Gibraltor. Interesting history. We were surprised, after the warnings, how careless people are around the macaques. We along with a few others found some of the signage on the Rock unclear or missing. Would be interesting to give the maps to a few people who have never visited and have them walk the Rock and find each attraction with the maps and signage. We weren’t always sure we were going the correct way as the signage didn’t indicate that attraction. We walked 14 km from our ship, over the Rock and back to the port.

Babs 06/12/2022

Purchased the tickets online. Very easy experience. Wonderful view!

Sharon 01/12/2022

Sally 25/11/2022, shorter line …saves time.

Purchasing was seamless….showed up at cable car station where people with pre ordered tickets were directed one way and those needing to buy tickets another…stand in a much shorter line to exchange on line tickets for cable car passes and then directly to the line waiting to board cable car. Well worth the “effort “ to buy tickets ahead of time.

Doug 23/11/2022

Friendly staff.

A fun ride to good views but the highlight was the friendly operator. Great to talk to as I was on the downward trip on my own.

Ian 22/11/2022

Well worth the money.

Amazing experience , friendly staff all round the nature reserve is worth the extra money , the caves are amazing

Karl 22/11/2022

Great day out in gib.

Bought combo tickets for cable car & dolphin experience with ease. The only slight drawback was at the cable cars, they were a little "confused" when I showed them the hard copy of our tickets (came as an attachment with our email) !!

Sameena 22/11/2022

NOT BUSY DUE TO QUIETER TIME OF YEAR ONLY A SHORT QUEUE TO BOARD, GREAT VIEWS, RECOMMEND.

Sally 21/11/2022

Great trip.

Lovely quick journey. Only downside is waiting in the cold at the top to come back down again, however this obviously can’t be helped so make sure you take suitable jackets/warm clothes if going later in the year.

Lucy 20/11/2022

Room for improvement.

The Dolphin excursion was great. The cable car experience was far from good. Long lines, in spite of having pre paid tickets. Crowded. The toilets at the Rock were not clean. The reserve was great.

Marcela 20/11/2022

Great experience.

Bought our tickets on line before our trip. It was a bit foggy and rainy but the cable car was running. I felt completely safe. Great way to visit the top of the rock. And the car operator on the return even called a taxi for us. Great service with very kind , friendly staff

MARY LEE 19/11/2022

No problems

Raymond 19/11/2022

Cable cae with shuttle.

The directions to the shuttle were perfect. We didn’t have to wait at all for the shuttle and the driver was very talkative and told us many facts about life in Gibraltar. The cable car ride was very smooth. I would highly recommend people take the cable car up and walk down if you’re able because there’s a lot to see on the way down.

John 18/11/2022

Ride up the rock.

The cable Car ride was nice. Safety information regarding the monkeys was useful though only given in English. People did not wear masks to protect against the spread of illness and the car was full to capacity.

Rachel 18/11/2022

Worth the cost.

The Gibraltar Cable Car was worth the cost. Afterwards, we walked down from the top and regretted it. Unless you're in great physical shape, I would recommend taking the Cable Car back down also!

Laurent 18/11/2022

Wonderful day.

Amazing place. Fanny monkey's.

Luiza 15/11/2022

Convenient and scenic way to the top of the rock.

The cable car shuttle was easy to use to get to the station from the frontier. And then the cable car was very quick and convenient to the top. I had bought a return ticket but ended up just walking down. The only thing that wasn’t that clear was how to find and use the middle station. I did see some people waiting there though

Lianna 15/11/2022

Easy way to the top.

Visited the "top of the rock" in November by the cable car, everything was nice and easy. The views were really good, there were plenty of Alps in various locations. We did have enough time to visit the caves, bridge etc which we will do on our next visit.

Jamie 14/11/2022

Great experience but annoying cab drivers up on the rock.

The tickets for the nature reserve is an absolutely must! It was great to see all the interesting points and apes. The only thing we didn’t like were all the cab drivers driving up the hill, that was very annoying and shouldn’t be allowed at such a historical and nature area. Also the description of the path was sometimes not logical, the map is not 100% correct.

Manuela 14/11/2022

Easy way to see gibraltar.

For the independent traveler this is a perfect way of exploring the peninsula easily booking on one's phone a variety of events. I did the cable car/nature reserve ticket and an all day bus pass. Downloaded onto my phone, stored in photos, no hassle and lots of exploring Gibraltar.

David 12/11/2022

Great visit to gibraltar.

To be honest, I was full of doubts whether this would really work. Spoiler for those who do not want to read the whole review: It did!

We started with the dolphin tour and picked up our tickets at the dolphin tour office 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. The dolphin tour was great and we saw a whole lot of them.

After the dolphin tour we walked to the Cable Car station and received the actual tickets and wristbands for the nature reserve.

The cable car drive was nice although the cabin is really small and tightly packed. The rock was great and we were really sad that we did not have so much time until all attractions closed. Therefore, we saw the skywalk, St. Michael's cave and many barbary macaques (including cute babies) but when we arrived at the tunnels, they were already closed). Next time we would probably try to spend more time in Gibraltar.

David 11/11/2022

We came in the morning, the shuttle was fast and empty and so the cable car! I recommend to take the very first cable car more or less, as there was no one in the morning. Later we have seen the cues.

Tereza 11/11/2022

The view from the rock is excellent..

Everything was ok. Not so good was, that we had to change our online tickets in a paper ticket.

Paul 09/11/2022

Best way to visit the rock.

fast change of onlineticket to wristband & ticket, few signs on the upper hill already old and not good readable, friendly staff everywhere

Nicole 09/11/2022

Staff friendly,efficient

Glyn 04/11/2022

Best way to see the rock.

Great experience. Short line, showed by QR code on the phone and we’re issued tickets. The cable car attendant was friendly. The trip was quick and easy. The monkey were out and about. Overall a great expweience

Sarah 03/11/2022

Lovely visit but maps are hopelessly confusing..

Thoroughly enjoyed our day out but found the maps issued impossible to follow -and we weren’t the only ones struggling to find our way around. We had to return the following day to see all that we wanted . Please , please can someone draw up a better map & clarify the sign posting .

CJ 02/11/2022

Really enjoyable day.

We all enjoyed the cable car and nature reserve tickets. You can really fill a day and explore all the nature reserve on the Rock has to offer, from the Macaques to the tunnels. Stunning views and quite a unique place. Going up on the cable car really takes the sting out of getting to the top and you also get to enjoy the experience more than being driven around the rock in a taxi.

Richard 01/11/2022

Cable car + free shuttle.

Easy to book and pay your tickets online. We walked across the boarder, passed the bus stop for no.5 and 10 on the right side of the road, then crossed over to the left side where the shuttle bus were. Easy to find. It then took us straight to the Cable Car, where the bus driver told us to use the left lane for pre-booked tickets. Return journey with the shuttle bus was included, but we decided to walk the Main Street back to the boarder.

Ann-Catrin 01/11/2022

Loved the monkeys and st. michaels cave.

Great trip. We arrived early with pre purchased tickets to no lines. Spent about three hours but could have stayed longer. I recommend going as early as possible to avoid crowds and lines.

Lorraine 31/10/2022

Cable car gibraltar review.

It was easy to book the cable car and nature reserve in advance. It was great that we didn't have to join the long queue upon arrival. We waited 30 minutes for the shuttle bus at the airport and it didn't arrive, which was disappointing, had to walk instead.

Ann 30/10/2022

Road and directional signs are poor..

Buying tickets online was easy. The WIFI element just didn't work!! We found out, too late, that we could exit the Nature Reserve without having to retrace our steps up to the cable car!! The signage / road names are nonexistent and seriously need reviewing.

Karin 30/10/2022

Brilliant views. Not many monkeys about though

Zaheer 29/10/2022

[email protected].

Great option to buy round trip cable car journey plus access to the essential sights at the top of the rock! Made the experience more pleasant. Highly recommend!

John 28/10/2022

Lift to the top.

Very efficient service and reasonable waiting times

Ian 26/10/2022

Trip to gibraltar.

Amazing trip ! The view over Gibraltar is stunning and the apes funny.

Carine 25/10/2022

Stunning place to visit.

Fantastic place to visit. The cable car was smooth and the staff were lovely. We bought the combined tickets for the cable car, reserve and dolphin adventure. The dolphin adventure was spectacular! At Michaels cave was beautiful. The only thing that stopped it being a 5 star day was a bad experience with the mini bus tour guides. There were lots of tours going on, and the tour guides were getting tourists to go very close to the monkeys (even feeding them) causing them to dive into people, which scared our young child and caused him distress. But apart from this, the day was lovely and I would 100% recommend.

Simon 25/10/2022

Really big rock.

Easy entry with my prepaid ticket after exchanging it. Only waited a few minutes for the cable car. Signage between sites could be better.

Lisa 25/10/2022

Pas mal pour la vue.

Dommage que l'arrêt intermédiaire ait été fermé. Nous n'avons pas pu aller à la grotte St Michel. Sinon il fallait passer par la réserve et nous n'en avions aucune envie.

Cousy 25/10/2022

A must when visiting gibraltar.

Great views from the top, at the nature trail we had great view over Gibraltar straight. Visited St Michael’s cave which was spectacular.

Anders Mikael 25/10/2022

Quick and easy

Robin 25/10/2022

Worth every penny.

Very efficient and quick process, from purchasing online, to redeeming the voucher, to using the cable car. Mind you we were there early

Nigel 24/10/2022

They were on time

Sh Ab Rahman bin 24/10/2022

Every amazing day.

Amazing but hardly to walk up and down hole the time. St. Michael‘s Cave was every amazing. The view from the mountain and the apes are fantastic

Katrin 22/10/2022

Nice trip with the cable car. And a nice view at te top of the rock! Min point: there was a long line

Maria 21/10/2022

as promised

Martin 21/10/2022

Day trip to the rock..

Easy to check in, due to prepayment. Staff were friendly and willing to help.

Charles 20/10/2022

Andrea 19/10/2022, cable car experience, giovanna 19/10/2022, if you like walking, walk.

It’s a means to an end. It gets you to the top of the rock quickly. Definitely buy your tickets online before getting there as you can fast track and skip the queue for tickets. However be aware cruise ship tour passengers are usually also fast tracked and they can create quite a long queue and then fast track isn’t that fast track. Having explored the top of the rock and the sky walk we walked down to The suspension bridge. After crossing the bridge we didn’t fancy walking all the way back to the top to get the cable car back down so just continued along the road back into town. If you like walking, I’d recommend walking up and down and miss the cable car out.

Mick 19/10/2022

[email protected].

Easy going - good idea to book everything in advance.

Meinhard 16/10/2022

Its a fantastic experience

Rogerio 15/10/2022

Very good all round. Worrying how many people completely ignore the warnings about the apes!

Alwyn 13/10/2022

The service of the buytickets.gi was great. Took me a couple of minutes the buy and get the tickets. But the service at the cable car base was not good, people were standing in wrong lines, there was no fast lane for the ones who had already purchased the tickets. We asked about it from an employee and showed her the tickets and she sent us back in the long long queue with people who did not have the ticket. Eventually after we had stood in the queue for a long time, they realised that everyone (with and without tockets) was in the same line and then they formed a fast lane but it was too late for us.

Elo 13/10/2022

Truly great.

Great boat trip and cable car experience. Lovely staff at all points.

Beata 09/10/2022

This is a must when visiting Gibraltar.

Anis 09/10/2022

One brilliant day.

Was a very very nice experience Beautiful day

Dinescu 08/10/2022

Everything went very well. We skipped the queue. No problem at all.

Pierrette 08/10/2022

quite expesiv. Ok a lot of attacktions are included but you need more time than one afternoon

Jens 07/10/2022

Friendly staff, reasonably priced refreshments both at the top and St Michael’s caves. Clear signage for downward walk - took in all the sights including the world war ll tunnels. Even the cloud cover cleared to reveal the views. Shame not all the tourists understood “don’t touch the monkeys”. Avoid the royal Anglian way as a route down for anyone not sure of foot .

Suzanne 06/10/2022

Good time to go up the cable care.

Cable car experience was very straightforward but we were using it in the mid afternoon when it has light use. Helpful staff and a pleasant trip up the Rock. A later entry may preclude you from doing all the various attractions, but you will see the Macaques!

julie 06/10/2022

Great experience friendly staff and got to see loads of monkeys

Iain 05/10/2022

Great gibraltar.

Gibraltar was great. People were very friendly, the apes were amazing and St. Michaels Cave was very interesting.

Mark 04/10/2022

Brilliant! We booked online so we were able to ‘queue jump’ at the cable car, and also meant we could use the free shuttle bus from the border. A completely stress free enjoyable day… thank you

Anita 04/10/2022

More than you think in gib.

A quaint downtown leads to the cable car station where you get great views and an appreciation for the steepness! The tailless apes are funny, especially the babies! The path is steep, but easy to walk on and the cave is far more interesting than I originally expected! Cool suspension bridge! Some areas could use a bit more signage, but a great trip and amazing fish and chips afterwards!

Michelle 04/10/2022

We enjoyed our ride up the rock. The views were stunning and we made a few ape friends along the way. There’s so much to see with the nature reserve ticket. It was a shame that the cable car doesn’t stop at the middle point for a few months. It’s a strenuous walk up and down the rock without a lift. There was so much to do and I recommend. You can spend hours exploring.

Desiree 04/10/2022

Dmitrijs 02/10/2022.

Great experience, monkeys from the get go. Caves were stunning and great show whole rock full of activities. Will be back again for sure!

Brendan 02/10/2022

Must see attraction .

Booked tickets online whilst in the queue, joined a faster line. Epic attraction, bar/restaurant at the top is a must. Highly recommend.

Barry 30/09/2022

Lovely experience.

Very nice, highly recommended, one of the nicest cable cars in terms of views. Just be prepared to wait a bit (maybe 20-30 mins) before you get a turn but it is worth the view and the monkeys you will find & the cafe you can have food and/or drinks at.

Boda 28/09/2022

Good but long que..

Very long que. Why don't you have more cable cars? Up the top of the rock lovely views.

Rachel 28/09/2022

We purchased our tickets while in a long line at the tram. We bypassed almost 50 people and saved at least a half hour. Also, purchasing the nature reserve portion allowed entry into all of the venues at no additional charge.

WAYNE 27/09/2022

Good and bad.

Having pre paid tickets is a MUST That allowed us to get into a shorter line BUT. THE WAIT TO GO UP was terrible. We stood there is a huge line for over an hour + waiting for the cable car. We thought having the prepaid ticket would mean quick trip up and that wasn’t the case

Nevertheless. Had we not pre paid our tickets we would have not been able to go at all. So highly recommend pre buying

Tracey 27/09/2022

It was lovely

Wil 26/09/2022

Loved the rock.

Purchasing this ticket was exactly what it said it was. Thoroughly enjoyed the Rock, with the exception of poor signage. Many other tourists we chatted with felt the same way. Got lost a couple of time because of poor signage. Otherwise we loved everything we saw. Just wish we had more time as we had to get back to our cruise ship.

Tom 26/09/2022

Good trip with nice nature.

We bought the tickets online in advance. Therefore we could use the free shuttle from the border, which is really helpful, and we avoid waiting time at the station. The park was nice. Unfortunately a lot of cars on the streets and not enough footpaths. Middle station would have been great but it is closed during summer.

Nadine 25/09/2022

Easy to book

Rudolf 23/09/2022

Great experience - saw lots of dolphins, and was provided with lots of interesting history and information.

Krista 23/09/2022

Save time - shorten the line.

Buying online shaved some time off the wait in the queue but you still have to get your ticket scanned to receive your wristband. Online tickets have a separate queue which is much shorter. Once at the top the views are outstanding. It’s a reasonable walk to St Michaels Cave and O’Hara’s battery from the top station.

Bradley 22/09/2022

Friendly personal, good look down the rock

M. 20/09/2022

Views were spectacular.

We went up early to avoid the hottest sun and crowds at the cable car station. Monday was quiet with only one other person going up. Tuesday there is a cruise ship in and we can see dozens of people waiting so are glad we went up yesterday. We did skywalk, Windsor bridge and left by Jews gate later in the early afternoon to walk to Europa point. Toilet provision good and food/drink in cable car top station also at ST. Michaels cave. We are over 65 so cable car up and walk down was just doable as there were a lot of steep upward paths the way we went. I think next time we may splash out on one of the locally arranged tours which drive to all the main Rock attractions. Last time we were here we did the WW2 tunnels and the Moorish castle and walked both up and down again but didn’t feel up to it this time. If you have plenty of energy you can stay up there all day as there is plenty to do and see and it is really worth the effort

Susan 20/09/2022

Everything was fine.

Veronika 20/09/2022

An ideal way to experience the Rock and fully understand the surroundings of Gibraltar. Barbary apes are fun and friendly.

MARTIN 19/09/2022

Diego 18/09/2022, the thing to do when in gibraltar..

Very nice ride ( too short!) and a great view all around.

H.M. 17/09/2022

Really brilliant trip, seen everything I wanted to. We decided to walk the trek back as not to miss anything. Ww2 tunnels at the end was amazing. Be prepared for quite a walk.

Janet 17/09/2022

Great day out

Cave and both tunnels great, map a bit confusing

Dave 17/09/2022

A nice experience.

We booked our tickets on internet so we were allowed to use the shuttle.Good idea and the drivers were very friendly.

Lucienne 16/09/2022

My 2 positive + 2 negative.

The view over Gibraltar was fantastic and the interaction with the monkeys was spectacular. The animals are very well cared for despite being constantly surrounded by the crowd. I think the attractions signage was unclear for most visitors. After walk a long distance to see the attractions, the cablecar middle station was not operational… It was very tiring to go back to the city on foot instead of climbing a long steep stairs again to the top under the sun and heat. This point was very negative because if I were a person with reduced mobility I would be in trouble.

Neuza 16/09/2022

Unique experience.

The single attractions offered are either lame or uninteresting, the real deal is the cable car ride itself, the nature around you and above all the monkeys. I could stay hours just watching them be.

Davide 15/09/2022

10am best time to travel.

Travelled on the cable car at 10am. No queue and definitely the best time to visit the top of the rock. Wonderful to view Gibraltar with only a handful of people.

Coral 15/09/2022

All very easy

Steven 14/09/2022

Great service.

Quick and easy although no queue at the cable car when we visited at 10 am .

Tracy 14/09/2022

Good choice.

It was wonderful!

Janti 12/09/2022

Half service..

I wasn’t able to find the free shuttle bus e none in the proximity have information!

Alberto 12/09/2022

Useful if you want to avoid climbing on foot.

Nice to have the shuttle connecting the border to where the cable car starts. Unfortunately, it wasn't easy to find after we passed the border and we had to ask around. The ride with the cable car is fine, but was a bit crowded, both ways. It would be useful to reinforce the "monkey rules" during the cable car trip, so everybody is aware of them.

George 11/09/2022

Nice and fun.

It was fan and not that scary as I expected.

Magdalena 11/09/2022

Had a great time, lots of walking but a great experience!!

Darren 11/09/2022

Nice safe trip.

Strange with online ticket to change it to another Nice trip, safe!

PeteR 10/09/2022

Awesome views from the mountain, great ride with the cable car, everything was smooth and without problems. Awesome day overall. Highly recommended!

Lauri 07/09/2022

Tickets easy to use but attractions a non event. Expensive for what there is.

Angela 05/09/2022

The rock experience..

Exceeded all expectations! The ride, the cable car, Saint Michael's Cave and the views were magnificent, not to mention the funny monkeys. The only concern I would express is about the parking. It was then mentioned that it's free. Well, partially is free, but you have to pay for it,because only paying spots are available. Make sure , you have plenty of coins because machine doesn't accept credit cards for parking payments. In conclusion it was a great idea to buy tickets online because it helped us to skip the line to the cable car.

Yuriy 05/09/2022

Good, but not sanitary measures.

Fast and easy. Too crowded inside the car and no one wearing masks.

Diane 05/09/2022

Lone 05/09/2022, incredible place - must see.

The Cable Car ride up to Gibraltar was great. Smooth operation, friendly staff and the restaurant on the Rock is great.

Kalpak 03/09/2022

Tickes for cable car.

You save some time as there are is a separate line for pre-booked tickets. They also offer a free Shuttlebus to the border.

Martin 03/09/2022

Easy to purchase, easy to use. Buy the nature visit. Do not need return if you walk down. Walking down is the only way to see everything.

Edward 03/09/2022

Summer hollidays with family.

Ir was a good experience. I just don't give 5* bcause the cable wasn't stoping in the meadle point and I had to walk All the track down to city. I couldn't understand why? It's summer time, high temperatures and the ONLY opiton was go up hill again or do down

António 31/08/2022

Katy 31/08/2022.

Certainly worth booking your tickets first. The queue was quite long so we cut out a lot of waiting time.

Julie 31/08/2022

Het kopen van kaartjes ging makkelijk, maar het is niet nodig een retourticket voor de cable car te kopen als je ook een nature reserve kaartje hebt. Je loopt dan nl helemaal naar beneden.

Nelini 31/08/2022

Good service.

Quick and easy service - nice experience

Bartosz 30/08/2022

Booking the ticket in advance turned out to be helpful as it allowed to bypass a lot of people that wait the line!

Markus 28/08/2022

Luis Felipe 28/08/2022

Krásně strávený den.

Všechno super, výhledy, lanovka i opice. Opravdu pěkné místo.

Ladislav 28/08/2022

Perfect expierience.

Perfect Voucher, no problem at the cashier, quick travel with the cable car, excellent view at the top

Michael 28/08/2022

Très pratique..

Très pratique d'acheter les billets avant. Plus rapide sur place, bus attribués dès la douane. Et personnel très sympa sur site.

Fabrice 27/08/2022

Good but......

The monkeys are great. But the information tables on the walking rood necesssry to improve.

Gábor 26/08/2022

Super day - good to see that so much time and money is being invested to improve the Nature area and attractions. St. Michael’s Cave - WOW

Leigh 26/08/2022

Great view from the top of the Rock, beware of the apes!!! We saw one who stole food out of a backpack sitting on the head and neck of the person. Another mackack attacted a Tourist for unknown reason. We had to wait more than half an hour at the cable car station. Very expensive for a Family to get on the top of the rock.

Eckhard 26/08/2022

Return ticket not needed.

The line for tickets bought online was free, so we liked this opportunity! On the other hand, only one cashier was opened, so we had to wait anyways. The ride was perfect. Before buying the tickets we didn’t know that after the walk in the Natural Reserve, we will end up at the bottom so the return ticket was useless. All those taxis in the Natural Reserve were very disturbing!

Michaela 25/08/2022

Super service.

Einfache online Buchung. Schnelle Abfertigung. Tolle Erfahrung

Wolfgang 25/08/2022

Great experience with some obstacles.

The Rock, apes and cave were great. But we missed some aspects. From the cave we choose the foot pathway down to the city and missed proper directions on the way the one's on the information board were very vague. In addition there was no opportunity to refill our water bottles or to get the chance to buy one. When we wanted to take a quick brake at the picnic places, it was hard to find some shade to cool off from the burning Sun. After we arrived at the end of the path there were no signs to lead the way back to the cable car station or the city, we had to ask several locals and use Google Maps to find our way back.

Erwin 25/08/2022

There could be a better service for the fare.

View from the upper rock is wonderful and going up by cable car is very, very nice. Apes are funny and offer no risk if you take the measures recommended by the service. There is a room for improvement. There is no clear signage where to pick up the shuttle from the border. In the Entry Point, line is not very organised and sometimes became crowded. In general employees are gentle and provide guidance. In the Upper Rock, the Cafe has a also interested and gentle staff and the product offer and pricing are more or less ok for a touristic site. But also here, signage is poor and you need to ask a couple questions to fin the cafe. Some parts of the buildings seems like needing some maintenance or better care (like painting).

Paulo 25/08/2022

no problem at all, the only thing I do not get is the need to redeem the ticket for the voucher received via email. Why not deliver the ticket itself via email.

Ian 24/08/2022

Great day out, needs better signage.

We bought the cable car and nature reserve tickets and had a great day. Lots of walking so be prepared for this. The caves and tunnels were really interesting and a welcome relief from the heat. Spectacular panoramic views all around at the top of the rock and the monkeys were good fun too.

Our only complaint is that the signage once you enter the nature reserve is not great and we ended up walking back and forth a few times to check we were going the right way, when we walked to the siege tunnels there was no further signage after the initial one and we were not convinced we were going to find them, we were actually on the correct path but after 30 minutes of walking in 30c heat we were ready to give up as we had no idea if we were going the right way.

This really needs to be improved and was the only negative of an otherwise brilliant family day out.

Steve 23/08/2022

Amazing and good to go early.

For there before 10am so very little queue. Hot on the rock as expected and roads too steep for little younger children. However fine for everyone else, with some effort and the landmarks are amazing obviously

Dominic 22/08/2022

Lovely experience.

Cable car Gibraltar is an must see/do thing for us! Astonishing views, nice and friendly workers and possibility for online skip the like tickets! We will return soon!

Dana 20/08/2022

Wir sind vom Shuttle Bus angeholt worden und durften an der Seilbahn an der Warteschlange vorbei. .

Ivonne 19/08/2022

Must do the cable cars, elaine 19/08/2022, amazing views from the top of the rock.

I have bought the ticket online. I would recommend to do this because on some days there is long line to get tickets at the place. Amazing views from the top of rock and skywalk, funny monkeys around. I recommend this experience

Natalia 19/08/2022

View from the top.

Great views from the top and greeted by the monkeys as you step out side the cable car

Alan 18/08/2022

Despite the long line for cable car, well worth the trip up to see the apes!

Mike 18/08/2022

Fabulous visit.

The Dolphin adventure was fantastic: we got to see a lot of Dolphins in their natural environment without disturbing them, and the guides explanations were very interesting. Gibraltar's visit with cable car was also fabulous : the view is incredible and we could see a lot of monkeys that live freely on the rock

Sébastien 18/08/2022

Queue very long

sandra 18/08/2022

Waiting file.

Fantastic view on The top Transfer Câble car is Nice but the waiting files should be more accessible We dont Knowl at start which file is it ( prepayed or purchased)

Benjamin 18/08/2022

Smooth ride.

Awesome super easy and fast. Journey up and down was smooth. Yeah not gripe is could not find entrance to gift shop so was unable to purchase anything

Richard 17/08/2022

Impressive view from top of the rock as well as Michael’s Caves! Only downside was the fact that we had purchased tickets online but still had to queue for paper tickets.. didn’t make any sense.

Horatiu 17/08/2022

Nice view and great bird show.

We went to the top and enjoyed a great view. For a little extra you can also enjoy a great birds of prey falconry show.

Pieter 17/08/2022

Great experience, though the biggest tip I can give is to buy tickets before going. We arrived to find a huge queue to pay for tickets and a tiny one for pre paid. Whilst waiting in the queue to pay we bought tickets online so jumped the queue. Saved ourselves at least an hour of queuing. Getting down was incredibly easy as a car came at least every ten minutes so barely any wait time at all. Really great way to get to the top and we would definitely recommend!

Zoe 16/08/2022

Long waitingtime - even with a prepaid ticket.

We waited 55 minutes to get on the cable car, thats too long time! But the nature reserve was definatly worth it. Go see the skywalk, the Skt. Michaels Cave experience and the tunnels both ww2 and under siege, its a long walk, but impressing. Stop and enjoy the wievs almost everywhere. Only minus is all the taxis and guided vans on the narrow roads, they take no care of pedestrians and ruins the experience and nature, with their impatience and ME first attitude.

Tina 16/08/2022

A fantastic trip.

My family and I loved our visit on the cable cars and the Nature reserve. We were especially impressed with St Michael’s cave and the light show. We purchased one of at tickets and walked down which was perfect as you get to see all the different attractions on the way down. I wish it were made more obvious that if you pre purchase tickets you do not need to queue in the line outside. A memorable day.

Paula 16/08/2022

Be prepared to queue.

Buying the tickets online was easy and meant the queue to swap the e-ticket to a paper was shorter, but the whole queuing system needs attention. Because the queue for the cable car backs up, it means the queue to get the tickets gets really bad. Perhaps timed tickets could work?

Helen 16/08/2022

Go to the top.

It's started with excellent customer service to help us with our tickets and was superb throughout the day. Parking worked out for us in the cable car lot. The ticket office was flawless; the ride up to the top was exhilarating! We walked a significant amount for us - saw incredible views and historic sites.

It would have helped to have better signage - to let you know better where you are.

Just a marvelous experience.

Michael 16/08/2022

A must to cut huge lines.

Excellent we cut a huge line using the prepaid one

WILLIAM 15/08/2022

Great for families.

Very relaxing and excellent outdoor experience for families, the macaques and the cave as well as stunning views.

Julija 15/08/2022

Best way to get up ‘the rock’ unless you’re into fitness or like crowded vans!

Gary 15/08/2022

Well worth the visit.

The cable car did not disapoint. The views at the top were incredible and the monkeys were everywhere. I would recommend to anyone.

Emma 14/08/2022

A great way to see gibraltar.

Expensive (especially for families) but a great way to see Gibraltar, especially if you have limited time. Buying tickets online also shortcut the queues.

Iain 14/08/2022

Just great from beginning to the end.

Very nice experience for the purchasing process. Really speeds up things to buy ahead. Great interesting and informative visit to do as a family.

Francois 14/08/2022

Really useful tickets. We did not have to queue under sun. Great experience with monkeys but be careful as some of them can be agressive. Just protect your backbags and do not feed them. The view at the top is really amazing. Our 2 tee teenagers loved this day at Gibraltar!

Audrey 14/08/2022

Good and clean service.

Was very easy and fast way to get on the cable car

Martijn 13/08/2022

Gibraltar o destinație de bifat.

Obiectivele prea puțin evidențiate atat pe harta cat și în teren, unele cu lacate la poarta

Robu 13/08/2022

Lots to see.

Cable car was a lot of fun and the nature reserve had more to offer than we could even see in one day. We enjoyed the caves the most. Very much recommended. Please don't feed the apes, though.

Jamie 12/08/2022

Cable car tickets in gibraltar.

Very quick ,simple and easy to use. When I come back to Gibraltar I will use this site again. Recommend you do also. Lee

lee 11/08/2022

Great cable car.

Very smooth ticket collection after online booking and a small, acceptable wait for the cable car. Excellent service.

Amanda 11/08/2022

Excellent day out. Area is very big with many attractions. Note: care is required when weather is too hot and area is mountainous so you need to be fit to walk.

Thais 11/08/2022

Wonderfull view , but more toillets.

The view is beautiful the monkeys are incredible but i Think you should have more toillets in the rock because we walk much and have few toillets avaibable. And you should think make a partnership with a company of bikes or scooters to be more easier Cross the rock

Joana 10/08/2022

Really a great experience! Don't loose the natural reserve, it's really worth the price. Better go down by foot, so you'll see everything

Daniela 10/08/2022

It was great!

Emilia 10/08/2022

Fun family hike.

My kids loved it, and said “it was the best mountain we’ve ever been on!”

Melanie 09/08/2022

Excellent day until return shuttle fiasco.

I’d bought tickets online before we visited from Spain. Tourist information was helpful in getting us to the shuttle bus after the border, and it was easy to get to the cable car. Express line to for tickets was easy and quick, as was queuing for the cable car. We had a lovely time at the top of the rock. Our problems started once we’d descended - apparently the shuttle bus stops going back to the border really early. We came down at 4.30 and it had already stopped. We didn’t have any English money as we were expecting to just get the free return shuttle, so then faced a long walk back to the border with two children. It would have been very handy to have a clear indication of when the shuttles stopped for the day as it would have allowed us to plan the day better and end a wonderful day less stressfully.

Suzanne 09/08/2022

Normal experience. Easy to book the park online. I made a mistake at the park and the staff was nice and changed my ticket so, I didn't have to go out.

Nuno 07/08/2022

Nice but challenging.

Place is really nice but in order to see all of the attractions, you have to go up and down a lot. A heads up on the altitude of the attraction would be helpful.

Anne 05/08/2022

Gilles 05/08/2022

It was worth buying in advance.

It was worth buying in advance to avoid part of the cable car waiting line and to use the shuttle from the border to the cable car, with a super friendly driver who gave us recommendations and told us some history of the city.

Rafaela 04/08/2022

Bengt mattias 03/08/2022, cable car and rock were great, parking was miserable.

The trip to the Gibraltar rock started with multiple effort to pay the 5 pounds of parking fee for 3 hours. The parking machine did only 2 Euro und 1 pound coins, which did not possess to cover the fee for 3 hours. It did not take EC or credit cards. Finally, we called the hotline and were advised to scan the little QR code on the back of the machine to pay the fee online, which finally worked. The rock was great. But for people, who are not sporty walkers, it is pretty steep and exhausting. You have to walk several km with several 100m differences in altitude to see all attractions. We recommend to use a taxi tour from the bottom without using th cable car. Have fun!

Heinz Dieter 03/08/2022

Great customer service.

We visited while on a cruise which meant very long queues. We booked tickets in an advance which helps miss some of the queuing. Staff were excellent, polite and helpful despite working in the heat on a very busy day. Nature reserve visit is a must when visiting Gibraltar.

Caroline 03/08/2022

Great staff ans experience.

Very efficient. Staff knowledgeable and excellent.

Neil 03/08/2022

We took one of the first cars up, so there was no line.

On top of the rock we expected a bit more signs showing us they way. The rest was great. Including the caves and the unpredictable apes...

Erineu 03/08/2022

Great way to see the rock.

Easy to book, great deal for the full Gibraltar experience.

Jacob 02/08/2022

Great day good service..

We had a great day, only bad thing we found was the halfway station closed, if you are walking around at the top you don't want to have to walk back up to the top station.

Robin 01/08/2022

Not as described.

I absolutely enjoyed the experience at the top of the rock, however the experience included free shuttle bus service from the Border and back. On our way back we have waited for the bus for half an hour until a member of The Team approached us to say that all busses are busy doing private tours for people/tourists from a ship which arrived to the port that afternoon. He suggested that it could be around an hour before they become free (which wasn’t accurate as their tour have only started when he was telling us this). To cut long story short The provider of the free transfer has decided to let people who have already paid for their services down and earn a bit more when an opportunity arose. There were no taxis available and after a long wait (with temperature outside of over +30) we ended up walking to a bus stop with our children (one of them a 4 year old) to a bus stop, paid for our journey to the Border and spent much longer than anticipated to get back to our car, as the bus was stopping on every bus stop. Overall, we have had a great start of our experience but felt conned and the end.

Oleksiy 31/07/2022

Very positive experience with Cable car Gibraltar. I recommend

Pavla 31/07/2022

All the staff were extremely lovely and helpful. We spotted dolphins

Robert 31/07/2022

Loved it but wish we could have stopped off at mid point also

Greer 31/07/2022

Overall it was as expected. The time it took to get to the cable car was unexpected and caused us to miss another tour but the top of the rock was the reason I wanted to go to Gibraltar. One suggestion, increase the gift shop size and offerings. We really enjoy having mementoes of our unique (to us) experiences from the actual place.

Judy 30/07/2022

Cable car experience.

Enjoyable ride in the cable car and loved the skywalk and St Michael’s cave. The only disappointment was that the cafe at the top is no longer open. It seems to have been taken over by the restaurant.

Stephen 30/07/2022

Great experience - online discount required.

Helpful friendly staff from the ticket exchange to the staff who ran the cable cars. We don’t know why more people don’t book tickets in advance as they’re valid for three months. It is expensive so I think there should be a discount for buying online. Hubby & I have a Cable Car pass but it’s great service for when family come out to visit.

Paula 29/07/2022

The cable car was an exciting experience and worth queueing. The view was fantastic! The only thing I didn‘t like was that the pre-ordered and paid tickets had to exchanche to the paper tickets. Why?

Anna 29/07/2022

We went up in the cable car and down on foot. The reserve is amazing but the map and the signals could be better. Totally recommended.

Alejandra 29/07/2022

Viagem tranquila.

A troca do voucher pelos bilhetes foi rápida, os trabalhadores são simpáticos e estão disponíveis para qualquer questão, a viagem é agradável e rápida. Nada de mau a apontar.

João 29/07/2022

Gibraltar rocks.

Great website! Easy to navigate.

Tiffany 29/07/2022

Thinks to get a better guide.

It was fantastic. But we should have better nas and more indications for the locals. Sometimes we always got lost, and we didn’t saw everything.

Sofia 29/07/2022

Could be better for the explorer.

Love the shuttle from passport entry to ce car was excellent. Not much wait time for cable car, quick ride. Bit at the top it could be much clearer as to the way to go, with better signposting all around - inside ww2 tunnels and outside by roads and paths.

Sarah 27/07/2022

Schöner Trip. Perfekter Tag

Oliver 27/07/2022

Avoid bizzy hours.

Extremely hot in waiting line area outside. Avoid bizzy hours! Nice view on top of the mountain.

Jeroe 26/07/2022

Wonderful - but very hot and muggy - wait time to go up too long.

This is a wonderful must do experience when visiting Gibraltar, but be prepared because it's very hot and muggy in the summer months! There's a long wait time (over 1 hour) to go up on the cable car. Once on the Rock (on top of the mountain) it is beautiful, but be prepared to do a lot of strenuous walking. It's 100% better to hire a white van (taxi) instead that includes everything (except the cable care and strenuous walking), it's less expensive (only 35 BP per person), and they drive you to the most important places on the Rock!

Edwin 26/07/2022

Very nice and good service

Adrian 26/07/2022

Great, but sort out que.

Bad que solution, pre paid and purchase at the same place, making prepaid had to "force" themselves in front of purchase que....

Ivo 26/07/2022

Excellent experience .

Easy purchase and no problem using tickets. Price the same as when you purchase at the cable car station, which is a plus !! Other sites charge a premium, and you still have to wait in the same line as everyone else.

Bruce 25/07/2022

Nizar 24/07/2022, gibraltar here we come.

The booking was quick and easy.

Annika 24/07/2022

Handy ticket that includes all kind of things that you can visite during your way down the hill

Romy 23/07/2022

Gibraltar trip.

Great time in Gibraltar. Just not enough places to buy drinks at the top of the rock. The boat was late due to engine problems, but very friendly, a nice experience.

Ilse 23/07/2022

No more car acces on the top of the rock.

There were two negative experiences during our visit. Very emarassing the van acces to the top of the rock. Always taking care to leave the vans tru and facing the danger to fall down not speaking about the breawing of their noxes. Few of them were electric only . It schuldn’t be allowed car acces only until the cave. The second unpleasent experience was the very week signalisation of the fact that O’ Haras battery is in renovation. A piece of paper glued on a column give this info. We climbed up and notice there that it is closed. The rest of visit was perfect. Nice place wonderfull view and of course the monkeys

ZOLTAN ORS 22/07/2022

Maria 20/07/2022

Great service highly recommend it.

Very good service, particularly the shuttle ride to get to the cable car station thanks to the very friendly and helpful staff

Manuel Alejandro 19/07/2022

I will come back.

Transfer from the border wasn’t obvious (we had to ask people) but then we weren’t waiting for trip - the bus man started when we entered. Cable car was amazing, the views, than monkeys… wow

Daria 18/07/2022

The top of the rock.

We bought tickets for Cable Car Return with Natural Reserve as we wanted our grandmother to see all the attractions. We especially liked the new look of St Michael´s Cave - the light show is really something! The monkeys were funny as usual, we had a possibility to talk to one of the custodians and he told us a lot of interesting facts about the monkeys. The only downside of our visit was the temporarily closed middle station of the cable car, so we had to return to the upper station, which was difficult for our granny, as she has walking troubles. But the overall impression was very good!

Marcela 18/07/2022

Hi, all was great but why I can't pay in EUR? Only in GBP.

Jaroslaw 18/07/2022

If you can't pay a Gibraltar Taxi, this is the (only) way to get to the top of the rock... Beautiful views on your way up (and down). Stay near the front/rear windows. Buy your tickets in advance and they pick you up by bus near the border (in a very modest and hidden place, on the left side near the entrance of the bus park).

João 18/07/2022

Easy check in, not good for claustrophobic people.

Cable car check in very easy except lady on desk did not give us our ticket so had to return to desk to obtain this. They did try and cram too many people in the cable cars. Not good if your claustrophobic Less than 6 minutes to the top. Very smooth

Phill 17/07/2022

Beautiful views, sweaty wait.

The cart going up itself was amazing! The views were gorgeous! The only downside was the wait. There was no Aircon etc to keep people cool when they were waiting in the line. This was very hot!

Bethany 16/07/2022

2 Star Image

Not enough parking space

It was riddicusily low no of parking space (including paid one), we were looking for á space for about 40min. Also we have seen á lot of cars stucked there for á years and nobody care to remove them

According to very expensive tickets, it should be easier to find á parking

The rest of visit was nice

Paulina 15/07/2022

Not a good environment for the apes.

The view was ok. The vegan food in the restaurant was better than we expected. We didn’t like the way people treated the apes.

Jonas 14/07/2022

Cable car and nature reserve excellent.

VERY ENTERTAINING

Elizabeth 14/07/2022

Touristy and pricy.

Medium! Very touristy and the drinks (mojito) with tons of ice and a bit of alcohol. Top bit very encapsulated and immediately to pay when you want to go a bit further. 20 years ago it was tons better!

Rainer 14/07/2022

Excellent service and a great experience.

Suzy 13/07/2022

Worth the money to up to the views quickly.

Very nice to have the opportunity to go straight to the top in minutes! Know that you will need to park by the pizza place Mamma Mia as that’s the area where the cable car departs, and you need to park in the back where blue lines.

Donta 11/07/2022

Great value for money.

Really amazing place and this ticket was great value for money. Got to see and do a lot in a limited time frame. Easy to book and sort out ourselves. Am glad I booked direct. Very happy with how easy it was.

Laura 09/07/2022

Epic experience on the rock.

Beautiful ride to the top. Spectacular views! The apes are so cute! One of the tour guides had their group feed and hold the apes. (!!??) Lots of ape moms and babies. Wish the signage for the shuttle was clearer. We were unable to find the shuttle taking us to the cable car and arrived too late for the ride back. It only runs until about 1600h. Minimal souvenir availability at the cable car gift shop. For those doing Gibraltar as a day trip, it's advisable to arrive early. Most shops and restaurants closed at about 1800h, unlike Spain. Also wish I had known the hike down involves walking on narrow streets (not strictly pedestrian paths) with cars racing past us. Also, it's not possible to hike down and see all the sights. They are not all connected by one path. The route we took going down was about 2-3 hours (including stopping for photo ops, the Skywalk, suspension bridge, and detours up the steep stairs at the southernmost point). Epic day! So happy we did this! Highly recommend! Thank you!

Richelle 09/07/2022

Perfect day trip.

I highly recommend a visit to Gibraltar. We took the cable car up and then explore the various attractions on our way down. The St. Michaels Cave is a must see, so are the World War II tunnels. What an incredible view from the top, the weather was not in our favor, a little cloudy, but still we enjoy our day.

Libelisse 08/07/2022

Very good no queuing and everything easily accessible

Michael 07/07/2022

Worth the money for the view.

Beautiful views and the monkeys are waiting at the top for you.

Jane 07/07/2022

Cable car + dolphins.

Buying tickets was easy, all was OK. We had tickets for Cable Car up and down +Dolphins. With this combination you can visit oly top of the rock and nothing else and it's realy pity. Few years ago we went down back to the town and it was realy nice. Therefore there was mutch less people than before, I think... The boat trip was amazing, we saw o lot of dolphins.

Andrea 07/07/2022

En achetant le ticket à l'avance sur internet, vous évitez une longue file d'attente. C'est très appréciable de monter avec le Cablecar et de faire la descente à pied. Belle expérience

Sylvia 06/07/2022

Very nice experience, sweet monkeys, great nature and the cave with the bridge are must seeing!!

Ruslana 06/07/2022

Long long walk down.

Very long queues, pre pay your ticket. Also there should be more information on walking to the various attractions on the rock. Once you've started down to the caves and tunnels there's no going back!! About 4 hrs tough walk in the heat!! The apes are amazing!! Loved seeing them ❤

JULIA 05/07/2022

Great experience but treat paying customers fairly.

Overall a fantastic experience and pre booking made things much easier - cable car, nature reserve and St Michaels cave were spectacular.

Only disappointment is that getting into the cable car going down the operator gave priority to excursion guests even though we were first in the queue and had paid for our tickets too. Didn’t seem fair and it meant we had a worse view!

June 05/07/2022

Nikolai 05/07/2022.

Fast and smooth ride up. Lots of great activities to do and see on the nature preserve

Allison 04/07/2022

Great viewx.

Booked on line before we went. There was no need to as it wasn’t as busy as we expected. Great experience!

Deborah 03/07/2022

Quick efficient and welcoming staff

diane 03/07/2022

Review and suggestions for cable car / upper rock tour..

The staff in the ticket collection booth and on the cable car could be more friendly. They seemed bored, uninterested and not really engaging with customers. A 'please' and a 'thank you' would have been nice too. Too many people in the cable car by about 3 or 4 people. Felt crushed on there when really it's only a few minutes to wait for another car to arrive. The restaurant at the top needs to sell bottled water more prominently as the fridges were just filled with sugary drinks and alcohol. The entrance to the restaurant and gift shop are old and point towards doors that are no longer in use. The gift shop is terrible and offers nothing unique other than some interesting photographs. My suggestion would be to get rid of the tatty rubbish on sale, and sell more interesting photographs from the top of the Rock. Run a competition for day/evening/night time photography and sell the best photos, donating half the proceeds to a local charity and change it each season. The ticket price needs an option to walk down only, without visiting the attractions along the way. Not everyone wants to pay an additional £18 just to walk down - it's a beautiful walk but totally unreasonable to pay for just walking down a road if you're not going to the other attractions. Publish what time the apes are being fed, so people can come and see that happening. Get a guide to talk about the history of the rock, and offer walking tours down the rock, as an additional cost, with the guide explaining the sights, fauna, flora, military history, etc. I could go on, but I'm not being paid for this goldmine of information. Good luck - I hope this helps a bit and the Upper Rock continues to attract many visitors for years to come. Regards, DL.

David 02/07/2022

Well worth it.

Had an excellent day on the cliff! The views, monkeys and cave were astonishing. Would have liked more signs/directions and information that walking down the cliff was not too hard; would have saved us the return ticket for the cable car :)

Maria 01/07/2022

The cable car was smooth and the process was very simple

Teresa 01/07/2022

An amazing ride, beautiful views, helpful and nice employees, the process was clear and safe. And it’s super easy to buy the tickets! Thank you!

Andrius 29/06/2022

Great trip..

Excellent day with plenty to see and do. Does take all day if you want to visit everything, difficult if your elderly or not as mobile. Maybe have the ticket valid for two days?

Andy 29/06/2022

Obowiązkowa wycieczka :).

Zdecydowanie obowiązkowy punkt podczas zwiedzania południowej Hiszpanii. Polecam wyjazd na górę gondolą, zwiedzanie rezerwatu i spacer w dół aż do Main Street. Dzieciaki dały radę z uśmiechem na twarzy, piękne widoki, potężne działa baterii no i jedna z największych atrakcji czyli wszechobecne ciekawskie małpki.

Artur 28/06/2022

The service ran smoothly without delays.

Costanzo 28/06/2022

Great views, lovely service.

I had a wonderful trip, using the Cable Car in Gibraltar. Not only the views were fantastic, also was the service. We originally booked 2 tickets, but my friend got sick. When I went to the Cable Car on my own, the lovely lady at the cashier's desk arranged that I will get a refund for the one ticket which we could not use. Very friendly and uncomplicated. Everything was perfect, definitely recommended.

Celina 27/06/2022

Cable car great experience.

Wonderful experience, well organised friendly staff and loved the apes, great views from the cable car would highly recommend

marie 26/06/2022

Recommended just for the views.

We pre booked our tickets which saved us queuing. Quick and easy ride to the top. We'll worth it just for the views but so much more to do....

Andy 25/06/2022

Gibraltar is a must.

The whole operation was smooth, efficient and highly enjoyable. Crossed the border, waited for a free shuttle van, rode up the Rock, no queue. Spent three hours on the cliff, walked back at a leisurely pace back to the frontier with some shopping and sightseeing. NB! Saved some Moroccan girl's backpack from the monkey back at the top of the Rock. Don't leave your stuff on the ground. It will be grabbed 100 % even with you standing right beside it. If you or someone else leaves their belongings loose, and the monkey gets hold of them, be aggressive immediately, don't waste time, pretend to kick the monkey or throw something at it at a close distance, worked in our case without even touching the monkey. It just let go of the backpack. Do not squat or lower yourself in any way in front of the monkey. The dog rule applies. When you're a BIG human, you get some respect. As soon as you lower your height, you become just an easy prey, a feeble dwarf. So, hold on to your bag. The worst thing that can happen is the monkey will jump on your shoulders. Witnessed this once. It sat on some man's shoulders for some 20 seconds, his woman took pictures, the monkey jumped off. Everyone's happy, no one's hurt.

Valdis 24/06/2022

Top of the rock nature reserve tour.

This was a really good experience and very interesting and informative. However we did our own trip, so had one way ticket up in cable car, but found going down a bit trickier, as there was little signage and map wasn’t very good- beware Ingles Way- this is almost like a goat track down the mountain- good but only for hikers and those able to walk narrow rough terrain.

Sharon 22/06/2022

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend this opportunity! Great views of “the rock”..

Karen 22/06/2022

Awesome and fuss-free experience going up the Rock!

AARON RAPHAEL 21/06/2022

Great experience at the rock.

It was a wonderful experience. I recommend to everyone to try it once in this life.

Alexandru 21/06/2022

Family adventure.

We had a great time up the Rock. We went around 10am and had the shuttle to ourself, and walked right on to the cable car. We walked down rather than taking the cable car - be forewarned that the distances are longer than they seem on the map. If you have small children, bringing a stroller is a good idea. You'll have to collapse it to get on the cable car and inside some of the areas but it is worthwhile for travelling between the points of interest. We didn't bring ours and sure wished we did by the end of the day!

Leanne 21/06/2022

Once in a lifetime experience.

This was an awesome experience. Though the cable car was overwhelming, the experience and views were so worth it. My husband and I took a day trip there while vacationing in Spain. We took great pics and had a lovely lunch before heading home. We received awesome service and had a great time talking with the staff. I also had fun looking at the monkeys scare the idiots who were trying to pet them.

Reginald 20/06/2022

Worked just great.

Nice digital experience. Everything worked and I paid using a Finnish credit card.

Little bit complicated account creation.

Niilo 19/06/2022

Great experience, fast ride to the top. Beautiful cave and nature.

Zlatka 17/06/2022

Great price for 2 great experiences.

Excellent price for 2 excellent experiences.

Joanne 17/06/2022

Cable car pass worth it.

What a great experience at Rock of Gilbraltar. So glad we got to see all this! So worth purchasing the Cable car and Nature reserve pass so that you can experience it all.

Judy 16/06/2022

Great outings in gibraltar.

Had a brilliant time on the Dolphin adventure and Cable car to see the Barbary apes on the Rock of Gibraltar. We saw so many dolphins it was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Cable car trip was great fun, it’s a regular service and runs very smoothly. The apes were hilarious nicking peoples food bags etc. Word of warning though… you should never actually feed them! They are wild and unpredictable animals. We had the best time and would absolutely do both things again!

Lesley 14/06/2022

All great, pre-paid to beat the queues

Adam 12/06/2022

Average visit.

Linda experiencia pero mucha suciedad al llegar a la cima. Muy descuidado todo.

Carlos 12/06/2022

Perrys in gib.

Great day out kicked off with excellent cable car ride. Great views , clean and tidy. Ride to top Ana walked back through nature reserve. Lots of nature, history and those veiws. Highly recommended

Glen 11/06/2022

Cable car ride gibraltar.

Pros -lots to see and do - good value for money Cons-lot of walking

Michael 11/06/2022

Adrian 10/06/2022, top attraction.

Very smooth ride. Brilliant views across the Bay of Gibraltar. And with a xar every 10 minutes little problem with queueing. But avoid mornings if a cruise ship is in port. Aim for late lunch mid afternoon time.

Phillip 10/06/2022

Prepaid tickets - no big difference to normal tickets.

Well a prepaid ticket makes you slightly faster. It would really be good, if it were combined with a fast lane. So you can exchange the ticket a bit faster than buying a new ticket - but then you line up with all the people that have tickets. So prepaying the ticket is not really a win situation.

Ila 10/06/2022

Visit to the pillars of hercules.

The rock of Gibraltar is very beautiful. Troublesome monkeys.

Massimiliano 10/06/2022

What a view.

An amazing view, a must do experience. Highly recommended

Alexander 07/06/2022

Cable car operators were friendly and we had no wait

Mark 06/06/2022

Unique but pricey.

Line was long and slow. Over-crowded car; glad I'm not claustrophobic. I was stuck in the middle and couldn't see a thing except the back of other riders' heads. Overpriced ticket for the cable car but the natural area was worth the money. The monkeys, caves, views and other historic sites along the path down to town were beautiful and interesting. Just be very aware you're on an very active road that the taxi drivers seem to think is a speedway. We had to leap out of the way often on the trek back down to the city.

Dawn 06/06/2022

Stunning views.

No problems, no queues, beautiful views.

Alison 04/06/2022

A must when in gib.

Everyone that visits gibraltar should experience the cable car ride to the top of the rock. Absolutely stunning views all the way up and especially when you reach the top, beautiful restaurant up there too.

Laura 02/06/2022

Good but not amazing.

Cable car up fine and great views at the top. Signage was poor. Eg getting to the suspension bridge was difficult. Middle cable car station was closed so this limits options. Ended up walking all of the way down despite buying a return. With hindsight would have just purchased a single ticket.

Matthew 02/06/2022

Something you must do. If you're in Gibraltar, this is the quickest and easiest way of seeing the Rock!

Stuart 01/06/2022

Great experience at the top of gibtaltar hill.

Very quick and easy booking! Cable car war fast an not too crowded. Nice apes at the top.

Sascha 31/05/2022

Beautiful but tired.

The views are spectacular. The cave of San Miguel is beautiful, we learned a lot of history in the tunnels. The only inconvenience is that for the price it costs to enter the nature reserve, you are not told that everything is very far away and you have to go up and down many hills. We lost the money for the cable car descent, since when we were already in the tunnels we were too tired to go back up and decided to walk down.

Elizabeth 29/05/2022

Great experience, no queues as had tickets and could gwt straight on. Brilliant views

Joanne 28/05/2022

Easy site to use.

Very easy to book tickets

Carol 28/05/2022

Great service, just a bit overprized.

Imre 27/05/2022

Cruise stop for the day.

Lovely experience! Definitely recommend pre-purchasing tickets online as it allows you to skip most of the queue. Even with prepurchased tickets, we still waited about 30 minutes for the cable car (for which we were prepared). Restrooms are available partway through the queue.

The monkeys at the top are very aggressive - watch your bags carefully and give them wide berth! Views from up top are incredible. We purchased the one-way ride and nature reserve ticket, so walked down - stopped by St. Michael's Cave and the Siege Tunnels on the way. Don't miss the cave - it was gorgeous (and has great wifi).

Jennifer 24/05/2022

Amazing place; inadequate signage.

Such an amazing place which attracts so many visitors from across the globe. The experience would be greatly improved with the addition of even the most basic direction indicators (a simple arrow painted on the road) and signage. Some staff could not tell where we were on the map and others shared that they too were frustrated by the lack of good signage. Improved signage, directions and distance indicators would make a big difference!

Fern 24/05/2022

We had an amazing day visiting all over the Rock.

Robert 23/05/2022

Great experience to visit the Rock.

Ronald 22/05/2022

Amazon by views.

Amazing views. Quick queues.

Pauleen 22/05/2022

Great for transport to the top.

The transport was easy to find, tickets were easy to obtain and the website was very easy to navigate.

All the staff were lovely. However, there are next to no seats available in the cable car itself and it is far too packed each way.

Sarah 21/05/2022

All in one day - bit tough.

Enjoyed the experience - bit disappointed that you have to try and fit it all in, in one day. Perhaps a little thought for those purchasers who are less nimble or agile.

Kevin 18/05/2022

Fabulous trip.

On the 1st cable car of the day. Would recommend. As we were early, quiet at the top and time for plenty of great photo ops. If you are reasonably mobile, would recommend a single ticket but include the wildlife reserve. Wonderful vistas and sites, just wished the minibus tours weren’t there. Spoils the peace and some aren’t too fussed about clipping you with wing mirrors. Take loads of water, allow 3 to 4 hours and walk down via the road from the Pillars of Hercules, you go via the Botanic Gardens to the cable car park.

Ian 16/05/2022

A bit expensive, but the experience was amazing

Pawel 09/05/2022

Great way to see gibraltar.

Great way to see Gibraltar- staff were very friendly and helpful, cafe was great and nice and relaxing

Neil 08/05/2022

Gib cablecar.

Fast, efficient and fun. Thumbs up !!

Mark 07/05/2022

5 minute wait was great

Karen 05/05/2022

Fantastische ervaring.

Het was een fantastische ervaring. Even dachten we niets te zien en snel weer terug waren, maar integendeel. Met het vriendelijke en enthousiaste personeel hebben we heel veel dolfijnen rondom de boot gezien. Prachtig!

Arnoud 05/05/2022

Geweldig uitzicht

Max 05/05/2022

Lovely experience. Paid for return cable car. Didnt need the nature reserve to see the monkeys! Cocktail at top with a beautiful view. Staff very friendly.Recomended!

Katherine 02/05/2022

Rick of gibraltar tour.

Excellent range of sights to visit. Well designed and accessible tour

John 02/05/2022

Jiri 01/05/2022, cable car journey.

It was very organised, there is no queue and we were very delighted.

Ivaylo 30/04/2022

One not to miss .

Worthwhile trip with stunning views of the Rock, harbour, town etc together with lots of monkeys to watch and photograph.

Chris 29/04/2022

Great experience. We spent almost 2h on the water looking for the dolphins. The team was very patient and didn't give up. We finally found them and could see them really close. Thanks a lot to all the crew!

Israel 27/04/2022

Amazing monkeys.

It was a beautiful experience overall, but the park in general could use some more guidance signs.

Andreea 26/04/2022

Supperrr......

Geweldige ervaring g om met de kabelbaan naar de apenrots te gaan mooi uitzicht en leuk dat de apen los rondlopen en op je gaan zitten

Ingrid 25/04/2022

Definitely worthwhile.

The service was quick, the views were nice and overall it was an amazing experience.

Richard 23/04/2022

Gibraltar à son meilleur .

Très belle expérience. Très beau. À faire absolument!

Danielle 20/04/2022

Excellent online service. Don't wait in line. Priority access! Easy and easy purchase.

Claudiu Sorinel 20/04/2022

Great place, awful parking experience..

It's a very beautiful place, cable Car works great. The parking is awful, only for citizens, and very low informations for paid parking.

João 19/04/2022

Booking online servers time.

Cable car trip to the top of the rocks is amazing. If you have prebooked tickets, waiting time is much less. Really awful are the taxi busses stinking on the small roads in the natural reserve. Additionally, it is very dangerous for the pedestrians.

Fantasic little ride up.

It was a fantastic cable car ride up, quick and easy queline system before You enter the car. A staff is in the car all the time on the way up. Easyest way is to prepaid the tickets before and just show the QR code to get your tickets.

Peter 18/04/2022

Family trip.

It was a great experience travelling up the rock in the cable car and exploring the nature reserve. The only issue we had was the signage to the key attractions; it was not clear where they were, how long it would take to walk to them nor the difficulty of the walk.

Helen 18/04/2022

When booking a combination ticket for the cable car and dolphin watching there is no indication if the time is for the cable car or the dolphin watching. We thought we had a specific time for the cable car - not the case. Otherwise it was a fine experience.

Andrew 18/04/2022

Mixed impressions.

The cable car ticket office and queue was chaotic. It would be helpful to have someone control the space. Pre paid tickets didn’t make much of a difference. Cable car ride is expensive. We waited an hour in total. The nature reserve was really interesting and we really enjoyed that.

Ross 17/04/2022

Hard to arrive and go back.

I think you should give some information on how to get there. We left our car at la linea parking and we were lucky to find a shuttle to the cable Car. But on our way back we had to wait for 40 minutes for a bus no one knew it would pass or not.

Auro 17/04/2022

The line was big on the spot. I bought the ticket online and got in separately. I recommend to everyone .

Csaba 17/04/2022

The line to buy tickets was extremely long, so I just bought some online and skipped the whole line and was still cheaper than the van tours being offered outside! Lots of walking but even better experiences!

Brandon 16/04/2022

Good device - lacking information for use.

The cable car transport is ok - the view is overwhelming. It is definetly the best way to the rock! But the practically informtions about the adventure are lacking - the fact that you can go down the steps to apes dens and then use the cablecar to basicstation was not clear before...further the signs to find the way could be much better.

Otto 16/04/2022

The heights of gibraltar.

Thé ride to the top of the mountain was breathtaking. The monkeys are so hilarious. We had a memorial experience.

Joanne 15/04/2022

Fantastically warm and accommodating staff. The cable car is so amazing, as you rise up over Gibraltar to do Africa, Algeciras and beyond. Loved it!!!

Alice 15/04/2022

Quick and efficient cable car ride to the top. The walk down through the Nature Reserve was excellent and all of the attractions are included with the ticket. A great, if tiring, day!

Alma 14/04/2022

Wonderful experinece.

It was a nice trip.

Loreto 14/04/2022

Long time no see..

I work in Gib and have not been up The Rock in a long time so this was a good test. Excellent experience. Do yourself a favour and just go one way and walk down, take picnic and take your time and you’ll have a great day out. It won’t be a long time before I do it again. A tip for powers that be. The floor of the skywalk needs to be clear glass, it lacks in danger as it is. The only let down for us.

David 14/04/2022

Cable car pre-booked.

Great experience, a comfortabele way to book, and see some of Gibraltar. We booked tickets online, easy, and used the complimentary shuttle from the border to the cable base station and back that comes with online booking. This also allowed priority access at ticket office, all good! Cable car is a easy way to get to top of the rock with its magnificent views and the apes; is worth the money.

Joost 14/04/2022

Fast and smooth ride with great views.

Alain 14/04/2022

Buena experiencia.

Buena experiencia pero deberían ser más ágiles en la cola o más frecuencia de teleférico.

Maria 12/04/2022

It was really easy to buy tickets online and amazing, well worth it

Liz 12/04/2022

Great views, clean and organized, unique.

Viorica 09/04/2022

Trip up the rock.

Great trip up the rock where we were met by the apes in great number. Interesting walks through the nature reserve but lots of very steep hills to navigate

David 03/04/2022

Everything is ok. You need whole day

Michal 02/04/2022

Stephen 30/03/2022.

Ludovit 30/03/2022

Cable car staff were really great, very informative.

DAWN 30/03/2022

Everything was great.

Everything was great! We had a great time at Gibraltar! We didn’t have to wait in line to buy tickets at the Cable Car station because we got them here and that was wonderful! Having the bus hopper ticket was also great!

María Fernanda 26/03/2022

Definitely worth it

Dorota 24/03/2022

Best way to see gibraltar.

Best way to see Gibraltar. The cable-car ride is stunning as are the Skywalk and Siege Tunnels. This is an excellent package which combines unparalleled views from the top of The Rock with unspoilt walking and comprehensive access to Gibraltar’s extensive military history.

Dominic 13/03/2022

The staff was very kind and helpfull, the nature wanderful.

The Cable Car Ride at Gibraltar is among the most fascinating attractions of Gibraltar and something that you absolutely don’t want to miss on your visit to Gibraltar. The Gibraltar cable car carries about thirty passengers at a time on a trip to the summit of the rock which takes roughly 6 minutes to complete, leaving you at an amazing 412m above sea level.

The Cable Car in Gibraltar approaching the summit." >

Cable Car in Gibraltar

On arrival, there is a top station complex that features various spectacular terraces, a souvenir shop and an inside viewing and eating area.

Here, you will have the opportunity for a drink or snack at the Top of the Rock Café, browse the gift shop, and of course see the apes getting up to whatever mischief that is in store for the day. The Mons Calpe Suite Restaurant and Bar also offers delicious meals and cocktails if you fancy dining, whilst enjoying the breath-taking views from the top of the Rock and planning what’s next on your agenda.

The summit also offers you the chance enjoy a multimedia tour, so don’t forget to pick up your multimedia unit on arrival which is included in the price of your ticket. It will allow you to discover the Rock at your own pace through the use of a hand held guide. It’s a fantastic means to introduce yourself to Gibraltar, and will give you a complete view of the amazing history of Gibraltar, as well as a little knowledge about the geology and the plant and animal life that lives on the Rock of Gibraltar.

The Gibraltar Cable Car was built by Swiss experts in cable car systems, Von Roll Ltd and opened to the public in 1966 but has since undergone several upgrades. In 1986 the original Cable Cars, one of which can still be seen in the waiting area, were replaced by the current cabins. As well has having in-house engineers who check the system on a daily basis, a team from Switzerland comes out to Gibraltar usually in January to give the entire installation a yearly safety check.

In 2007 an extensive refurbishment program to the Top Station was begun with works starting on the souvenir shop and the indoor viewing and eating area. Today, you will be welcomed by very clean and modern facilities, all well maintained and managed by friendly staff that will be more than happy to assist you with any questions or help you may require.

Both Cable Cars passing Middle Station where you will find Apes Den. " >

Cable Car passing Middle Station

The Cable Car Ride also includes a possible stop at the middle station or Apes Den. Please be advised that between the months of April to October (inclusive) the Cable Car will not stop at the middle station. As the name suggests this is where you can find more apes. Should you want to get out and wonder around it is recommended you do this on your way back down. A cabin attendant will ride with you in the cabin and is there to ensure your safety and also to answer any questions you may have.

You can also access the Nature Reserve from the Top Station should you so wish. It is only a 15-20 min walk down hill to St Michael’s Cave from the top station. Along the way don’t forget to visit the amazing Skywalk (opened in March 2018 by Luke Skywalker – Mark Hamill). Here you can step out onto a glass platform and enjoy spectacular views far out into the Mediterranean.

The Cable Car base station is located at the south end of Main Street, right before the Alameda Garden’s main entrance. Don’t forget, on return to the Main Bus Terminal or Frontier, to take advantage of some fantastic duty free shopping deals available, by walking the full distance of Main Street, Gibraltar’s main shopping hub.

Further information needed to assist you in finding the cable car boarding area can be obtained at the Gibraltar Tourist board information desk. They are located at both the Frontier and the Main Bus Terminal.

The entire event can actually take as little or as much time as you care to spend. Various options are available when purchasing your ticket, to also include entrance fees for the other Upper Rock attractions. Excellent service. Not a fan off cable cars but more to do with the issue of being scared of heights but wasn’t long on there spent more time queuing but will definitely go back on it when I go back next year. The reason I picked to go on there instead of a tour is because you can spend longer up the rock than being rushed about going on the mini buses where you only get an hour and a half up ... The reason I picked to go on there instead of a tour is because you can spend longer up the rock than being rushed about going on the mini buses where you only get an hour and a half up the rock to do all the attractions. No question about it. Its the best way to get to the top of the rock. I understand it can depend on what you want to see up there. But if you are only wanting to see the monkeys, view the new skywalk and maybe visit the st Michaels cave, there is no easier way to do it than taking the cable car. You are free to do things in your own time and pace. The cafe at the top is great too. After spending ... Read More

We were greeted by some monkeys as soon as we arrived. We had no problems at all with them. They seemed very relaxed and minded their own business which was different to what I had been told before. The views from the top of the Rock are just incredible. Make sure your camera is fully charged and got enough space to take loads of photos - cause you will!! Maybe will try the ride up and walk back down next time we visit, but Im pretty lazy, so will probably end up doing both ways again like this time! Ignored the taxi drivers who told us it would take us all day to walk around, and the cable car ticket attendant who said the same, and decided to go for it ourselves. We walked from near the airport, to the cable car, from the top station to the siege tunnels (and inside them!), back across past apes den to St Michael’s cave, around the caves, back up to top station, cable car down, and back to near airport. In total, 15.5Km. £148. We set off from top cable car station at 12.30 and were back in town shopping by 4.30pm. We didn’t rush, stopped several times to observe apes, and stopped for ice creams at the cave. One driver accosted us as we were leaving siege tunnels and said it would take us 2-3hours to reach the caves, but it was 45 minutes! We had a very enjoyable day in the fresh air, felt we had more than earned our dinner and would definitely recommend walking if you are thinking about it. There are a few steep bits but not too bad and my kids are not used to long walks - if they can do it, any adult can! Read Less
