Safari Condo: 20 ans d’histoire

PUBLIREPORTAGE. À l’hiver 1997, lorsque Daniel Nadeau a découpé le toit de son Safari GMC tout neuf, jamais il n’aurait pu imaginer où cela allait le mener…

À cette époque, il rêvait de produire un petit véhicule récréatif à toit mobile et à prix économique. C’est au mois d’aout qu’il se lance dans son projet, lequel allait prendre des proportions inespérées.

Au début 1998, son frère Stéphane devient actionnaire, suivi de sa sœur Johanne en 1999. Dès la première année, bien que le plan d’affaires prévoyait une production de 13 véhicules, ce sont plutôt 38 véhicules qui ont trouvé preneur.

En novembre 2006, l’idée d’une nouvelle roulotte, l’Alto, commence à germer. L’Alto devait réinventer l’image que l’industrie du VR et le consommateur avaient de la caravane classique. La caravane n’était plus une boite carrée, mais gagnait en courbes et en lumière. Avec son toit rétractable à croissant de verre, son poids plume et le choix des matériaux ultra résistants qui la composent, l’Alto devait faire exploser tous les paradigmes. Près de trois années ont été nécessaires afin de confectionner un produit à la hauteur des attentes de l’entreprise. Moins d’une décennie plus tard, on célèbre la sortie de l’usine de la 1000 e caravane Alto, et celle-ci est déclarée le « Choix no 1 du Guide VR » 2018. Que de chemin parcouru!

Faire carrière

Avec l’ouverture d’une nouvelle usine en 2018, l’entreprise a créé de nouvelles opportunités d’emplois. Ayant à cœur le bien-être de ses employés, Safari Condo ne propose que des horaires de jour, offre des conditions avantageuses et, depuis le tout début, a mis en place un programme de partage des profits avec ses employés.

En 1997, Daniel Nadeau rêvait de créer un produit rassembleur qui créerait un fort sentiment d’appartenance. À ce jour, la communauté des condistes et altoïtes (nom donné aux propriétaires de Safari Condo et d’Alto) ne compte pas moins de cinq regroupements sur Facebook. Créés par des particuliers, ces groupes permettent à leurs membres vivant aux quatre coins du globe de se raconter leurs petites et grandes aventures. La compagnie se considère privilégiée de pouvoir compter sur une clientèle aussi loyale.

Après avoir connu une année record pour ce qui est de ses ventes, Safari Condo doit se concentrer aussi sur son futur. Avec un engouement pour ses produits qui ne cesse de croître, l’entreprise n’a pas à mettre d’efforts dans l’augmentation des ventes pour l’instant, mais doit plutôt se concentrer sur le développement de la pleine capacité de production de la nouvelle usine. Les délais d’attente pour obtenir un modèle de véhicule neuf dépassent les douze mois et les dirigeants souhaitent en priorité minimiser ces délais. Ils espèrent quintupler le nombre de roulottes produites de façon hebdomadaire, ce que leur permet la capacité de leurs installations actuelles.

Dans un futur proche

Pour y arriver, l’augmentation d’environ 25 % du nombre d’employés sera nécessaire d’ici les deux prochaines années. Cela permettra l’embauche d’une quarantaine de personnes, ce qui n’est pas négligeable pour un petit village comme Saint-Frédéric. La directrice de l’entreprise est confiante que l’embauche ne sera pas un enjeu majeur grâce aux conditions de travail qu’ils offrent. L’une des priorités du fondateur au début des opérations de l’entreprise était d’avoir une ambiance de travail agréable où les employés se sentiraient bien, même s’il n’avait pas les moyens d’offrir des salaires compétitifs, ce qui n’est maintenant plus le cas. 

En plus de cet environnement de travail agréable, de plans d’assurances collectives et de la valorisation des employés, un généreux système de partage des profits selon le nombre d’heures travaillées, est également mis en place. La distribution des montants se fait d’ailleurs dans le cadre d’une grande fête collective à la fin de chaque année. Selon Dominique Nadeau, la directrice générale, ce système est très efficace sur le plan de la productivité, car les employés se sentent directement concernés par la réussite des opérations. Grâce à ces avantages, Safari Condo connaît un taux de roulement qui est largement inférieur à la moyenne.

À plus long terme

À long et à moyen terme, le développement de nouveaux produits et l’amélioration de certains modèles seront mis en avant. Certains modèles, qui sont déjà très vendeurs, n’ont pas beaucoup changé depuis les 10 dernières années et mériteraient une version 2.0 selon Mme Nadeau, ce qui contribuerait à la poursuite de leur succès.

Aussi, le développement de nouveaux modèles fait continuellement partie des priorités du département de recherche et de développement. Ce département est d’ailleurs très actif depuis que Daniel Nadeau, le fondateur, a pris sa retraite de l’administration, ce qui lui laisse beaucoup de temps pour développer ses idées. Selon l’administration actuelle, la croissance d’une entreprise passe principalement par le développement.

En plus du développement de produits, la directrice générale souhaite également, à plus long terme, développer davantage à l’international. Elle aimerait bien développer de nouveaux partenariats en Europe et relancer la vente en Nouvelle-Zélande.

Theatres in Moscow

Cultural life of Moscow city is various and rich! Operas, ballets, symphonic concerts... Russian composers have created some of the most beautiful classical music. Russian classical music is very popular in Moscow. It is performed in many beautiful historical venues. Do not forget to include a visit to a concert hall in your itinerary when you are planning your stay in Moscow! And do it in advance.

There are almost no restrictions on dress code in Russian theatres. Visitors may wear jeans and sports shoes, they may have a backpack with them. Only shorts are not allowed.

A typical feature of Russian theatre – visitors are bringing a lot of flowers which they present to their favorite performers after the show.

Here are some practical advices where to go and how to buy tickets.

The Bolshoi Theatre

The Bolshoi Theatre is the oldest, the most famous and popular opera and ballet theatre in Russia. The word “Bolshoi” means “big” in Russian. You can buy a ticket online in advance, 2-3 months before the date of performance on the official website . Prices for famous ballets are high: 6-8 thousand rubles for a seat in stalls. Tickets to operas are cheaper: you can get a good seat for 4-5 thousand rubles. Tickets are cheaper for daytime performances and performances on the New Stage. The New Stage is situated in the light-green building to the left of the Bolshoi's main building. The quality of operas and ballets shown on the New Stage is excellent too. However, you should pay attention that many seats of the Bolshoi’s Old and New Stages have limited visibility . If you want to see the Bolshoi’s Old Stage but all tickets are sold out, you can order a tour of the theatre. You can book such a tour on the official website.

If you want, following Russian tradition, to give flowers to the performers at the end of the show, in the Bolshoi flowers should be presented via special staff who collects these flowers in advance.

In August the Bolshoi is closed.

The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre

This theatre is noteworthy. On one hand, it offers brilliant classical opera and ballet performances. On the other hand, it is an experimental venue for modern artists. The theatre has a very beautiful historic building and a stage with a good view from every seat. Tickets are twice cheaper than in the Bolshoi.

The Novaya Opera

“Novaya” means “New” in Russian. This opera house was founded in 1991 by a famous conductor Eugene Kolobov. Its repertoire has several directions: Russian and Western classics, original shows and divertissements, and operas of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is very popular with Muscovites for excellent quality of performances, a comfortable hall, a beautiful Art Nouveau building and a historic park Hermitage, which is situated right next to it. Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center

The Opera Center has become one of the best theatrical venues in Moscow. It was founded in 2002 by great diva Galina Vishnevskaya. Nowadays its artistic director is Olga Rostropovich, daughter of Galina Vishnevskaya and her husband Mstislav Rostropovich, great cellist and conductor. Not only best young opera singers perform here, but also world music stars do; chamber and symphonic concerts, theatrical productions and musical festivals take place here. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and The Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory

These are two major concert halls for symphonic music in Moscow. Both feature excellent acoustics, impressive interior, various repertoire and best performers. Moscow International Performing Arts Center (MIPAC)

This modern and elegant concert hall houses performances of national and foreign symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, solo instrumentalists, opera singers, ballet dancers, theatre companies, jazz bands, variety and traditional ensembles. Actually, it has three concert halls placed on three different levels and having separate entrances. The President of MIPAC is People’s Artist of the USSR Vladimir Spivakov, conductor of “Virtuosy Moskvy” orchestra. You can see pictures of the concert halls here http://www.mmdm.ru/en/content/halls . • Aeropuerto de Moscú [MOW]

Si quieres viajar desde cualquier parte del mundo a Moscú o si te encuentras dentro de Rusia pero quieres llegar a la ciudad, te contamos que el aeropuerto de Moscú no es solo uno ; y en realidad no nos asombra ya que debido a la importancia y gran tráfico de pasajeros que reporta al año, en Moscú hay un total de tres terminales aéreas que son las principales, estos son Domodédovo , Sheremétievo y Vnúkovo .

Cada aeropuerto de Moscú tiene su propio código identificador IATA ya que los tres tienen la categoría internacional, además cuentan con su código compartido que los identifica como los aeropuertos de Moscú, dicho código es MOW . Desde ellos se ofrecen vuelos a otras ciudades y regiones del país, y por supuesto, entran y salen vuelos internacionales.

En la imagen se puede observar todos los aeropuertos de la ciudad, en ella hemos marcado con triángulos color rosa los tres principales que son Domodédovo (el que tiene más tráfico), Sheremétievo y Vnúkovo , en orden de importancia, designados con el código MOW. Los tres se encuentran en el área metropolitana de Moscú y es a uno de ellos donde llegarás o desde donde saldrá tu avión.

Ces 24 dernières années, GMC a livré 1594 camions utilitaires à une entreprise de la Beauce… et qui sont ressortis des usines de Safari Condo transformés en iconiques véhicules récréatifs.

En produisant l’Astro, le Safari et le Savana, GM a été le premier fabricant automobile avec lequel Safari Condo a collaboré. Le saviez-vous ? Le nom de la compagnie a trouvé son inspiration dans le nom du camion Safari.

Grâce aux ventes des véhicules GM, Safari Condo a pu financer trois ans de recherche et développement pour concevoir le prototype de la roulotte Alto. C’est donc ce camion robuste qui a permis à Safari Condo de devenir la compagnie qu’elle est aujourd’hui, avec une fabrication annuelle d’une centaine de véhicules motorisés, près de 500 roulottes Alto et forte de ses 150 employés.

Même s’il ne travaillait pas à temps complet pour l’entreprise, Stéphane Nadeau a largement contribué à l’image de Safari Condo puisqu’il est l’auteur du petit escargot, Tortillon, qui est le logo de la compagnie.

La directrice des ventes, Johanne Nadeau, a récemment tiré sa révérence après 25 ans chez Safari Condo ! L’équipe de direction et des ventes a tenu à souligner sa retraite en novembre, elle qui a joint l’équipe de Safari Condo comme vendeuse, en 1998.

Are You A Solo Artist Looking For A Music Recording Studio Serving Moscow, Idaho?

Over the last few years I’ve noticed there are more solo artists than ever . Many of them want to feature their original songs the way they hear them in their heads, with full production with live musicians. I love this! It gives me the chance to not only help them accomplish their goal but actively participate in it. Often I’m most of the musicians on a project as I play multiple instruments. You don’t have to look far to find most of your studio musicians! I also have a full selection of other professional studio musicians ready to perform on your studio project for a reasonable fee.

Here’s how it works. The artist lays down his or her song on whatever instrument he or she plays to a simple drum beat, which I use as a click track here my song recording studio. We discuss what their vision is for the song, and that’s all I need to get started on the arrangement.

First I start with the primary instruments making up the sound and style of the song. After that’s complete, I’ll send them a test copy of the song, or they may come into the studio to listen (which I prefer), to see if we’re on track.

At that time I’ll have them play their parts separately, one track at a time. Instruments come first, then vocals. This way I have independently recorded tracks without the cross bleed of instruments and vocals leaking into each other’s microphones.

After this has been accomplished, I’ll bring in other studio musicians to completely finish the song, or I’ll fill in all the parts by playing them myself. It depends on the artist’s budget. Some may not have the room in it for additional musicians. I provide a considerable discount when I can fill all those areas myself.
