Profile image of Dr. Bp Badal

Welcoming two million tourists in 2020, is itself a challenge and the challenge from another side is a great opportunity for Nepalese tourism development. Only tourism can transform the nation because other sector of economy requires extensive capital and skillful human resource. Nepal cannot compete with India in Agricultural Production and with China in other industrial productions. Nation's investment in Agriculture and Industries are in high risks. At this crucial juncture of time Nepal government has announced visit Nepal 2020, which could be a milestone of Nepalese Economic Development. To analyze the challenges and opportunities to welcome 2 million tourists in 2020 the study has been designed. Tourism is a social phenomenon that promotes the movement of visitors to a region or destination in the world with certain natural or artificial features aimed to leisure and rest. Methodologically, it is a qualitative descriptive analysis of available secondary information on Nepalese tourism industry and academia. The method analyzes entire facts qualitatively and interprets the meaning of tourism information. The tourism industry's viability is based on its natural and cultural environment. The environment encompasses air, land, water, art, history, architect, festivals, and hospitability of people. The foreign tourists and excursionists' primary interest in Nepal is to study its culture and nature not dust, dirt, and mismanagement of roads etc. Mayors of local governments must be aware on these issues. Nepal's unique form of musical expression and cultural vibes are becoming lost resulting in cultural dilution. Accessibilities 1 Dr. Badal is a Visiting

Pedestaled on secondary data, the key objective of this paper is to make a retrospective assessment of tourism policy and sustainable mountain tourism development efforts in Nepal. The sustainable development of mountain tourism relies on the government's plans and policies and the efficient coordination between stakeholders. But the tourism policies have not been able to adequately address mountain tourism, and this has led to unbalanced growth of tourism sector. Despite the implementation of new Tourism Policy in 2008, adequate focus on mountain tourism is still missing. There is a lacuna of adequate driving force in tourism policy and it has failed to address vital areas of mountain tourism. Hence, there is an instant need of specific and separate mountain tourism policy encompassing integrated approach (abiding federal structure and local participation in planning and management) hence making mountain tourism sustainable, responsible and sensitive-ecologically and culturally.

Overcoming the Challenges Confronting the Nepali Tourism Industry

Article 12 Feb 2023 5637 1

Tourism in Nepal

Tourism is one of the largest industries in the world, contributing significantly to the development of economies. However, like any other industry, it faces challenges that hinder growth and development. The Nepali tourism industry is no exception, as it faces several obstacles that pose a threat to its growth and development. In this article, we will explore the key challenges facing the Nepali tourism industry and provide potential solutions to overcome these hindrances.

Overview of the Nepali Tourism Industry:

Nepal is a country of great natural beauty, with diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The Nepali tourism industry has grown rapidly over the past few decades, with an increasing number of tourists visiting the country each year. In 2019, the travel and tourism sector contributed approximately 6.2% of Nepal's GDP, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council.

Current State of the Nepali Tourism Industry:

The Nepali tourism industry has faced a number of challenges in recent years, including natural disasters, political instability, and infrastructure deficiencies. Despite these challenges, the industry has remained resilient and has continued to grow. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, in 2019, the travel and tourism sector contributed approximately 6.2% of Nepal's GDP.

Tourism is one of the largest industries in Nepal and provides employment opportunities for thousands of people, particularly in rural areas. The industry is also a major source of foreign exchange for the country, as visitors from around the world come to Nepal to experience its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and adventure activities.

However, the industry has also faced some significant obstacles in recent years. One of the biggest challenges has been the impact of natural disasters, such as the 2015 earthquake, which devastated many of the country's tourist sites and infrastructure. Another challenge has been the political instability in the country, which has deterred many potential visitors and made it more difficult for businesses in the tourism industry to operate.

Despite these challenges, the Nepali tourism industry has remained resilient and has continued to grow. The industry has benefited from the development of new tourism products, such as community-based tourism, and the promotion of niche tourism markets, such as adventure tourism. These initiatives have helped to overcome some of the challenges faced by the industry and have paved the way for future growth and development.

Key Challenges Facing the Nepali Tourism Industry:

The Nepali tourism industry faces a number of key challenges that have impacted its growth and development. Some of the most significant challenges include:

  • Political instability: Political instability and conflict have created a challenging environment for businesses in the tourism industry and have deterred many potential visitors from traveling to Nepal.
  • Natural disasters: Natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides, have had a significant impact on the Nepali tourism industry. These events have damaged tourist sites and infrastructure, making it more difficult for tourists to visit the country.
  • Infrastructure deficiencies: Despite its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, Nepal lacks the necessary infrastructure to fully support the growth of its tourism industry. This includes a shortage of hotels, roads, and transportation options, which make it more difficult for tourists to travel around the country and experience all that it has to offer.
  • Limited access to finance: Many businesses in the Nepali tourism industry struggle to access the financing they need to grow and develop their businesses. This makes it more difficult for these businesses to invest in new tourism products, improve their operations, and hire additional staff.
  • Limited promotion and marketing: Despite its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, Nepal is not well known as a tourist destination, particularly in comparison to other countries in the region. The Nepali government and tourism industry need to work together to promote the country and to raise its profile as a tourist destination.
  • Competition from other destinations: Nepal faces significant competition from other destinations in the region, particularly in terms of adventure tourism. This competition makes it more difficult for the Nepali tourism industry to attract visitors and to grow.

These are just some of the key challenges facing the Nepali tourism industry. To overcome these challenges and to ensure the growth and development of the industry, it will be important for the Nepali government, businesses in the industry, and other stakeholders to work together to find solutions.

Potential Solutions to Overcome These Challenges:

To overcome these obstacles, the Nepali tourism industry needs to implement a range of solutions, including:

Improving Infrastructure: The Nepali government and private sector need to invest in the development of adequate infrastructure, such as road and transportation networks, accommodations, and modern amenities, to make it easier for tourists to travel and experience the country's offerings.

Stabilizing the Political Climate: To address the political instability, the Nepali government needs to work towards creating a stable and secure political environment. This will increase the confidence of tourists and encourage them to visit the country. The government can also work towards improving the infrastructure and transportation system in the country to make it easier for tourists to travel and explore different parts of Nepal. This will not only increase the number of tourists visiting the country, but also help to promote regional tourism, which can help to create new job opportunities and stimulate economic growth in rural areas.

Additionally, the Nepali government can also work towards promoting sustainable tourism practices. This will help to preserve the natural beauty of the country and reduce the impact of tourism on the environment. For example, the government can encourage the use of eco-friendly transportation and promote responsible waste management practices. This will not only protect the environment, but also create a more positive image of Nepal as a tourist destination, making it more attractive to visitors.

Finally, the Nepali tourism industry can benefit from the development of new tourism products and the promotion of niche tourism markets. This can help to diversify the tourism offerings in the country and make it more appealing to different types of travelers. For example, the Nepali tourism industry can promote adventure tourism, such as trekking, mountaineering, and wildlife watching. This will not only attract new visitors to the country, but also create new job opportunities and stimulate economic growth in remote areas.

Latest updates and developments in the Nepali tourism industry

Despite the challenges facing the Nepali tourism industry, there have been some positive developments in recent years that suggest the industry has the potential to grow and to overcome these obstacles. Some of the latest updates and developments in the Nepali tourism industry include:

  • Government initiatives: The Nepali government has taken steps to support the growth of the tourism industry, including the development of new tourism products and the improvement of infrastructure. For example, the government has launched initiatives to promote adventure tourism, such as trekking, mountaineering, and rafting, and has invested in the development of new tourist sites and attractions.
  • Community-based tourism: Community-based tourism has become a popular alternative to more traditional forms of tourism in Nepal. This approach involves local communities working together to develop and promote their own tourist products and services. This type of tourism has been successful in many rural areas of Nepal and has helped to create new jobs and income-generating opportunities for local people.
  • Increased air connectivity: The number of flights connecting Nepal to other countries has increased in recent years, making it easier for tourists to travel to the country. This has helped to increase the number of visitors and to support the growth of the Nepali tourism industry.
  • Investment in tourism: There has been an increase in investment in the Nepali tourism industry in recent years, particularly in the areas of adventure tourism and community-based tourism. This investment has helped to create new tourism products, improve infrastructure, and generate jobs and income-generating opportunities for local people.
  • Improved safety and security: The Nepali government has taken steps to improve the safety and security of tourists visiting the country. This includes the development of new tourist police units, the improvement of emergency response systems, and the creation of new security measures at tourist sites and attractions.

These developments are just some of the positive changes taking place in the Nepali tourism industry. Despite the challenges it faces, the industry has the potential to grow and to become a major contributor to the country's economy and development.

In conclusion, the Nepali tourism industry faces a number of challenges, but there are also many opportunities for growth and development. By addressing the key challenges and taking advantage of new opportunities, the Nepali tourism industry can become a major contributor to the country's economic growth and development. Whether you are a tourism professional, a business owner in the industry, a traveler interested in visiting Nepal, or an investor interested in investing in the Nepali tourism industry, now is the time to take action and help to build a brighter future for the Nepali tourism industry.

This is a complaint about the way tourists are treated in Nepal. I have been visiting Nepal regularly for over 30 years. In the meantime, I'm losing interest in traveling to Nepal more and more. You are probably interested to know the reasons why: - Flying in Nepal is becoming increasingly unsafe. Last year I lost two friends in a Tara Air crash in Jomson. About the crash in Pokhara I now know that the pilots were so stupid that they confused the propeller adjustment with the engine speed adjustment. For me, the reasons are quite clearly that such jobs are awarded in the spirit of nepotism. - Air fares for foreigners are outrageously high and in no way compare to other countries. As a foreigner, I pay three times as much as a Nepalese national, or as a Nepalese politician who has invested his fortune in Switzerland. - The government has still not managed to equip taxis with taximeters. Every taxi ride is a nuisance for me as a foreigner. Pathao is not an alternative as almost none of the drivers have a navigation system or local knowledge. - Roads are a disaster everywhere in Nepal. For example, Kailali, where road construction companies build the roads without state quality control in such a way that they have large potholes again after a year. Corruption is also a thing here. - Using credit cards is difficult. Who actually gives the banks such great power. In this area, too, Nepal is pretty lonely in an international comparison. I am aware that the Nepal Tourism Board is trying to make changes. I am also grateful for this. But the efforts so far are not enough. More and more countries have more attractive offers. No change in Nepal will bring about a collapse i

Tourism industry in Nepal: Trends and challenges in the present era

Prakriti Thapa

The tourism industry in Nepal is the fourth largest job creator in the country as it employs 371,140 people according to an analytical report by Central Bureau Statistics .

Clearly, the tourism sector has been significantly impacted by the adverse effects of the Covid pandemic, leading to the failure of the ‘Visit Nepal 2020’ campaign. That was seen in the numbers as the number of foreign visitors to the country dropped by 80 per cent in 2020, the lowest in 34 years.

Things are gradually improving and the country is getting more tourists . In 2023, the government has set a target of attracting one million tourists. Recent data from the Central European International Cup (CEIC) indicates a gradual rise in tourist numbers. In March 2023, Nepal welcomed 99,426 tourists, compared to 73,225 visitors in the previous month.

The tourism industry in Nepal plays a vital role in bolstering the country’s economy. It serves as a potential source of foreign exchange and contributing to increased government revenue. To address the challenges in this sector, it is crucial for the country to comprehend the prevailing trends in the tourism industry and proactively undertake initiatives to enhance and upgrade the industry accordingly.

Tapping into adventure sports and their challenges

tourism industry in nepal prospects and challenges essay

Nepal is a country with diverse geographical terrain and no other country can beat the diversity found in its natural beauty . Not only that Nepal, is rich in culture and tradition, which can provide tourists with adequate opportunities to immerse themself in the local lifestyle.

Likewise, the country itself is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, where all these heritage sites provide a glance at Nepal’s history, art, and architecture. Also known for its vibrant festival celebration , visitors can witness and know about the traditional rituals along with its beliefs.

Moreover, there are various adventurous activities such as trekking, rafting, bungee jumping, canoeing and paragliding that can attract tourists to Nepal making it a destination for those who want to indulge themselves in adventure sports.

However, the adventure tourism industry in Nepal is not free from challenges. With the potential of adventure sports in Nepal , Nepal should be prepared for the unfortunate consequences that happen sometime in this field.

As such Nepal has to focus on the safety of the tourists and there is a need for better safety and security measures for tourists, which includes rescue operations, and exceptional infrastructure for emergency services as well.

Tourism is a significant source of income for the country, and the safety of tourists can significantly impact the tourism industry in Nepal where ensuring the safety of tourists is pivotal for the country’s continued growth and development.

Moreover, it is very important for the government to take action against fraud cases. The videos spreading on social media clearly reflect the unusual activity shown by locals to foreigners. The trend of overpricing is increasing on certain things, which adversely affects the flourishing sector of tourism. Therefore, it’s important to take action against those people by concerned authorities so that no problem shall arise against this.

Then, the government should focus on the transportation system if it wants to bring in more tourists. Travelling from one place to another should be hassle-free for the tourists.

Taking initiations

tourism industry in nepal prospects and challenges essay

The lack of promotion and marketing efforts for lesser-known tourist destinations has resulted in tourists not being aware of the attractive places in Nepal. It is important to develop a comprehensive strategy for the promotion and marketing of these destinations.

By implementing effective promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives, the country can increase awareness among tourists and showcase the diverse and appealing attractions it has to offer.

Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Begnas Lake Boat Entrepreneurs’ Committee and the fisheries has taken the initiative to conserve and promote Begnas lake through various activities around it. The visitors’ flow is low in Begnas lake in comparison to Phewa lake despite its beauty and allure.

Each place offers a multiple ranges of explorations and various backgrounds to individuals. Another important aspect, while promoting the place to visit, is to note the maintenance of the environment. Several attractive places surrounding are degrading day by day due to the activities of visitors.

So, it is important to maintain a sustained environment that enchants the traveller such as the implication of a cleaning campaign at the destination for better sustenance.

Overall, the tourism industry in Nepal is playing a vital role in country’s economy as it is providing employment opportunities, demonstrating the natural beauty and bring forign currency into the country. So it is important for the government to make proper plans and policies to ensure that the tourism industry in the country can flourish in a better way, which is beneficial to all.

Despite its many attractions, Nepal's tourism industry faces various challenges. One of the most pressing concerns is environmental sustainability. Kumar strongly believes that investing in the right people is the key to success. The Post talked to Kumar about the current situation of Nepal’s hospitality industry, its challenges and opportunities. The excerpts.

How is Nepal’s hospitality industry performing?

The tourism industry is a mix of challenges and opportunities. There are definitely positive signs of recovery and a high potential for growth. With the travel restrictions gradually eased, there is an increasing sense of optimism within the industry. Domestic tourism has shown resilience, with locals exploring their own country and contributing to the revival of the hospitality sector. Further, as international travel gradually resumes, there is an opportunity to attract tourists who desire to explore new destinations and experience the unique cultural and natural offerings in Nepal.

How have you been promoting the Hyatt Regency, internationally?

Hyatt Hotels is a global hospitality company that operates several brands. Our marketing ethos is based on our belief in the importance of family and care. We promote ourselves through various marketing strategies such as participation in the international trade fairs, promotion of festive offers and through attractive pricing. We also use social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn. We create a world of understanding and care and follow our purpose: We care for people, so that they can be at their best. Obviously, there is a shortage of skilled manpower. The migration of manpower from Nepal's hospitality industry has had a direct influence on the hotels and other service industries. The loss of skilled manpower can disrupt the continuity of operations and hinder the implementation of best practices. However, we have experienced and efficient employees putting in their best efforts to keep the flag flying high.

There is a cut-throat competition in the luxury hotel segment. How are you moving ahead?

One of our key commitments is to offer our guests an indigenous experience. Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu has seamlessly incorporated Nepali art, architecture, and design throughout our hotel. From the moment a guest steps into the lobby, they are immersed in the rich culture, heritage and warmth of Nepal. We also ensure that our culinary offerings are diverse and appeal to the various nationalities we serve. We invest in training and empowering our staff to anticipate and exceed guest expectations. In addition to service excellence, we lay great emphasis on sustainability and responsible practices.

What’s your view on the luxury tax?

I believe that it is essential to strike a balance between taxation and the growth of the tourism sector. The luxury tax is unlikely to adversely affect the competitiveness of Nepal's hospitality industry and deter potential investments. However, It is crucial for the government to consult with industry stakeholders to consider its impact on the tourists and assess the competitiveness of Nepal's luxury hotel market compared to neighbouring countries. The tax has come at a time when the inflation has gone through the roof. Inflation has a direct impact on the profitability of the hospitality industry in Nepal. One of the significant effects of inflation on the hospitality industry in Nepal is the increased cost of operations. It will eventually lead to higher prices of essential materials such as food and beverage supplies, energy, employee wages, and other operational expenses.

The number of hotels has been rising, but that has not matched the tourist arrivals growth. The country is facing an economic crisis too. How would you tackle these situations?

To increase tourist arrivals, it is crucial to create and implement strategic choices, by enhancing marketing efforts, improving infrastructure, diversifying tourism offerings, strengthening safety measures, facilitating visa processes, investing in training, and embracing sustainable tourism practices. There exists a great potential to unlock the country's tourism, drive demand, and showcase the rich cultural and natural heritage of Nepal. The hotel industry, like many others, has faced challenges due to the current liquidity crisis. With reduced consumer spending and corporate travel cutbacks, the hotels here have experienced a significant decline in their occupancies and tariffs. Many hotels have struggled to maintain financial stability and meet their operational expenses. Moreover, the liquidity crisis has made it difficult for the hotels to secure financing for future projects.

Prospects of Tourism in Nepal

Nepal has huge possibilities in the tourism sector. The Himalaya nation is famous for its natural beauty: the world’s highest peaks, national parks rich in flora and fauna, snow-fed rivers, exceptional trekking routes, wonderful lakes and welcoming people. Nepal is rich in its cultural and religious diversity as well. Possessing eight of the 10 highest mountains in the world, Nepal is a tremendously attractive location for mountaineers, rock climbers and adventure seekers. Apart from being an attractive destination for adventure, Nepal’s pleasant climate and ever welcoming nature of Nepalese show there is a tremendous prospect of tourism ahead in Nepal.

Cultural/Festival Tourism

The ethnic and cultural diversity of Nepal is unparalleled considering its size in the world map. There are 125 ethnic groups who speak 123 different languages and follow more than 10 different religions in the tiny Himalayan nation. Nepal shows unity in diversity. There are several cultural beliefs and customs of the Himalaya nation. The many cultural heritage of Nepal included in the world heritage list, which has become the property of the whole humankind. Likewise, one of the interesting ways of understanding the beauty and richness of Nepali culture is through its festivals. Participating in the local festivities gives visitors an insight into the life of the Nepali people and makes their stay in Nepal more colorful. Hence, in preserving the large number of cultures and festivals Nepal can promote the future prospect of tourism in the Himalayas.

Pilgrimage/Spiritual Tourism

Another lucrative area of promoting Nepalese tourism lies in exploring pilgrimage destinations scattered throughout the nation. Nepal has numerous ancient pilgrimage sites. The Kathmandu Valley alone houses the famous Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa and several other pilgrimage sites. Hundreds of famous temples are located in other parts of the country as well. Some well-known pilgrimage sites are: Barah Chhetra, Janakpur, Tengboche, Manakamana, Lumbini, Muktinath, Gosainkunda, and Khaptad Ashram in Nepal. Moreover, there is high potentiality of developing spirituality tourism as the Himalayas have always been considered the seat of spirituality since ancient times.

Village Tourism

Village Tourism is such a concept that provides the best way to explore the villages of Nepal. Nepal is a country of villages. Traveling in the villages of Nepal, a traveler can see the way of life which has not changed even at the advent of modern science and technology. Promoting the concept like Homestay in Nepal can transform the economic prosperity of the country. It is in the sense that visitors within this concept spend a few days living with the local people where they will be treated as honored family guests. In doing so, the travelers spend a considerable amount of money in the local area. Besides this, travelers are pretty much interested to look the simplicity, to taste the local food, and to witness local cultural practices. Hence, as a country of numerous villages, there lies the huge potentiality of tourism if village tourism is emphasized properly in Nepal.

City Tourism

Despite Nepal is recognized as a country of villages, there are a couple of cities that cannot go unnoticed in the eyes of travelers to Nepal. Cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini have already gained huge popularity in the field of city tours. Kathmandu valley alone houses seven UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites and offers the best possible chances of witnessing the rich heritage of Nepal. Likewise, going for Pokhara city tour brings awesome experiences. Lumbini is world famous in being birth place of Buddha. Furthermore, Chitwan is a huge refuge for a considerable number of wild lives in Nepal. Thus, promoting these cities of Nepal itself carries huge prospects of Tourism in Nepal.

Mountain Tourism

Trekking and mountaineering is the heart of tourism in Nepal. Of the world’s 14 highest peaks above 8,000 m, eight of them crown Nepal’s north. The fascination of scaling these mountain peaks draws the huge crowds of visitors from abroad. If such adventurous climbing and trekking destinations are properly managed there is no doubt to take the Nepalese tourism business in the higher scale. In addition to this, there are a number of mountain regions in Nepal that still needs to be explored. Most of the travelers in Nepal are very much familiar about the popular trekking and peak climbing routes. Unlike those popular routes, there is huge potential to go for exploring virgin territory of the Himalayas in Nepal. If mountain tourism is comprehensively promoted there is massive potentiality to develop tourism in Nepal.

Nature Tourism

The wealth of Himalayan flora and fauna and diversity of wilderness has already made Nepal one of the richest countries in the world in the eyes of global travelers. The wildlife conservation centers in the alpine regions as well as a considerable number of national parks in the low land of Nepal have played a tremendous role to protect endangered as well as well rare species. The tropical jungles of Nepal’s Terai preserve some of the best wildlife habitats of South Asia. Some of the wildlife attractions of Nepal’s jungles include the rare one-horned rhinoceros, the elusive Royal Bengal tiger, snow leopard, red panda and musk deer. The nature conservation centers house more than 850 species of birds in Nepal. Because of the existence of the diverse nature of the natural aspects of wildlife and geography, Nepal can rise up in the field of tourism.

Adventure Tourism

Beyond mountaineering and adventure trekking, Nepal is also popularly associated with various sorts of adventure world. The traveler can taste the adventure of Paragliding in the beautiful city of Pokhara. There are high potentialities of going to Sky Dive, Boating, Fishing, Angling, and Canyoning. To the top of all these adventures, Bungee Jumping at the gorge of the Bhoti Kosi River gives the ultimate thrill. Motivating the world travelers towards these adventures, Nepal can benefit tremendously. Nepal’s natural beauty and perfect geographical locations are ideal space for seeking huge potentialities of tourism in Nepal.

Nepal offers some of the finest golf courses in South Asia with magnificent views of the Himalayas. Likewise, Nepal is also a suitable destination for rock climbing and mountain biking as the outdoor adventurous sports. For the most, Nepal boasts some of the best whitewaters in the world. The river rafting sport in addition to adventure helps to explore the magnificent vistas of traditional houses on hillsides, terraced paddy fields, deep gorges, valleys and flat plains of the Himalayan river side of Nepal. Therefore, sport tourism carries remarkable probability in the field of tourism in Nepal.

MIEC Tourism

Nepal is a naturally attractive place for organizing international standard events (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, and Exhibition). Different hotels as well as various convention centers in Kathmandu and Pokhara are famous for providing par excellent environment and top graded facilities. Both the cities are well connected with global communication systems, transportation facilities and security management. The international delegates in Nepal can sip the taste of spectacular Himalayan vistas while attending at their business. Hence, Nepal sustains a tremendous possibility of emerging out a top MICE destination.

Agricultural Tourism

Nepal is known as an agricultural country where more than eighty percent of its people survive from farming. The traditional agriculture system of Nepal too carries the heavy prospect of creating a new dimension in the field of tourism in Nepal. Agro-tourism brings international visitors to the countryside and as a result, they meet lovely and hard working people of the rural area, share a meal with them, stay in their houses as family guests, and taste their local dishes. Apart from this, they can enjoy the taste of local products as well. Hence, if Agro tourism is emphasized in this country, it will bring a huge change in the field of tourism in Nepal.

Hospitality Tourism

The hospitality sector is an important bedrock of promoting Nepal in the international arena. Despite Nepal’s hotel industry is providing world class hospitality to visitors it is not the end of the story. Nepal’s remote villagers are well recognized because of their innocent, friendly, hospitable and ever welcoming behaviors. Understanding the etiquette of the traditional hospitality of rural parts of Nepal and receiving them magnificently lure the attention of visitors in Nepal. So, exploring those hospitable and friendly behaviors of Nepalese in the remote parts of Nepal can drag the huge crowds of visitors in those regions of Nepal and thereby change the direction of Nepal tourism.

Tourism as an emerging global phenomenon enhances the world travelers to explore the wonders of the world. Nepal is also being an integral part of a global system of tourism can not escape benefiting from this emerging field. Nepal as a Himalayan nation has enormous tourism prospects. If many unexplored regions of Nepal are identified along with popular tourist destinations the Himalayan state can make remarkable progress in the field of tourism.
