17 Of The Best Running YouTube Channels

Everyone loves running videos. Especially trail running videos. The tips, the training guides and most importantly, gear & shoes reviews! I’m a bit of a gear nut and always love to see what new gear is coming out. Also seeing some of the locations in theses videos makes me want to travel more and inspires me to do keep on keeping on with my own running. But enough chit chat, here are 17 of the best running YouTube channels . (In no particular order) Enjoy!

Here’s Your Running YouTube Channel List!

1) ginger runner – 186k subscribers.

Ginger Runner does it all. Gear reviews, outdoor adventure videos, race films, as well as daily & weekly live shows. I love these types of videos because it gives me an insight into the gear he’s been using recently (or not so recently) and why he enjoys that specific piece more so than it’s competitors.

2) kofuzi – 108K subscribers

Mike Ko (AKA  Kofuzi ) has a bunch of running shoe & running related tech reviews, along with some racing & inspirational videos.

He also has a pretty cool series called “ Runner’s Weekend ” where he documents his travels as he joins up with running groups and/or running buddies throughout the US.

I’ve embedded the video that basically convinced me to get a GoPro. Although I haven’t filmed with it as much, it showed what all was possible in the realm of running video content production.

3) James Dunne – 209K subscribers

James Dunne has a ton of great injury prevention & workout tips videos. So easy to go down a rabbit hole or two here. The blog on his website also breaks things down pretty well and ties a lot of his videos together. He also offers coaching as well as free and paid training courses there as well.

4) Vo2maxProductions – 221K subscribers

Vo2maxProductions is professional runner, Sage Canaday’s YouTube channel. He’s a beast. His channel has many great running tips , injury prevention, nutrition, some analysis videos as well as vlogs.

5) Running Wild – 90K subscribers

Sandi Nypaver’s of SageRunning.com, has a bunch of running form & other training tips on her channel. I’ve embedded a pretty solid glute activation video below, something that I’ve had to reference a few times myself for my training.

6) This Messy Happy – 40.9K subscribers

This Messy Happy’s channel focuses on tips, training plans, racing and funny lighthearted videos. Ben & Mary are the creators of the channel who describe themselves as “exercise obsessed idiots who want to help others.”

7) iRunFarMedia – 23.7K subscribers

iRunFarMedia covers trails races, interviews runners, reviews gear and more. Their website is loaded with info as well. I also like to follow their Twitter for updates/runner positions on big trail races. They’ll provide picture updates along with commentary on some races. Pretty cool.

8) New Generation Track and Field – 56.7K subscribers

Training and race related videos more aimed towards you guessed it, track and field.

9) Running Warehouse – 51.7K subscribers

Running Warehouse make a bunch of shoe & gear reviews. They have a lot of awesome gear on their website. I visit their site almost weekly to catch up on their New Arrival section , just to keep tabs on new running shoe colors and other releases. They pretty much get all of my online shopping for running gear business.

10) Believe in the Run – 55.8K subscribers

A sweet channel I only recently started following, after finding them on Instagram. They do a ton of shoe and gear videos. Updates, new releases and reviews. They also team up with the above mentioned Kofuzi a lot to collab in videos.

11) Salomon TV – 231K subscribers

Of course they’re focused on the Salomon trail running brand here, but they still produce some awesome videos. Even if Killian Journet went off and did his own thing (aka forming his own brand NNormal ). All of their videos give me the urge to travel and go off on crazy adventures. Pretty inspirational.

12) Harry Runs – 76.7K subscribers

Harry Runs channel provides a lot of training, vlogs, tips & nutrition videos. Although he doesn’t have a lot of recent stuff, there’s still a lot of great & inspirational travel videos.

13) Born To Run Coach Eric Orton – 21.2K subscribers

Even though he might not post as frequently as YouTubers. Eric Orton has a very solid backlog of content to catch up on. And being the coach that helped Christopher McDougall get into 100mile shape in the Born To Run book, watching a bunch of his videos should be a given.

Recently he’s been hyping up the release of Born To Run 2, which “is a holistic program for runners of every stripe that centers on seven key themes: food, fitness, form, footwear, focus, fun, and family.” It is set to release December 6, 2022

14) StrengthRunning – 67.5K subscribers

Jason Fitzgerald of StrengthRunning provides a ton of coaching, strength training & race tips. He runs an award-winning blog with even more helpful tips as well as a free e-course for injury prevention.

15) TheRunExperience – 594K subscribers

Another one of my favorite channels. I’ve easily binged a bunch of videos from TheRunExperience. It’s a great channel for injury prevention, workouts, and overall tips. A lot of their videos also feature scenes from San Fransisco as a background, that again, make me want to travel. I’ve never been so who can blame me.

16) Running Shoes Guru – 18.3K subscribers

The Running Shoes Guru provides exactly what you think it should. A bunch of shoe related videos, mostly reviews. Per their About page, they “purchase all the shoes we review at retail, no freebies from companies! Our reviews are independent and unbiased. REAL RUNNERS, REAL REVIEWS!” They must have a pretty impressive collection of running shoes.

17) Jeff Pelletier – 50.5K subscribers

Jeff’s channel focuses a lot on his trail races, along with gear reviews, tips and nutrition for trail running. Visit his blog for more information including his calendar featuring upcoming races along with links to videos and posts of previous races.

Wrapping Up

That concludes my list of the best running YouTube channels (for now at least). I’ll jump in here every once in a while to update or add any channels that I may have missed or started watching. Cheers, and happy running!

37 Trail Running Videos Guaranteed to Get You Motivated and Out the Door

I hope you weren’t planning to get anything done this afternoon …

The #1 excuse I hear for why runners people fall behind on training isn’t lack of skill, speed, or strength.

It’s lack of motivation.

And I get it.

Running, whether you’re training for a big race, trying to lose weight, or just hoping to keep in shape, requires a lot of motivation . Day in. Day out.

Most of us find some of that motivation through race goals , running partners , enjoyment, accountability , and the trail , but sometimes even all that isn’t enough .

So what do I do when all else fails? I sit on the couch, grab a snack, and open my laptop.

Yup, if I feel lazy, tired, and unmotivated, my favorite trick isn’t to fight it, but to give in, fire up YouTube , and hit play on a trail running video …

A good trail running video leaves you itching for the dirt and fresh air. It gets the leg juices flowing, and has you salivating for adventure.

And when that happens, the only cure is a run.

Back in 2014 I first shared this post, with 12 of my favorite running videos at the time, but during the two and a half years since, several new videos have made my top list. Today I update this post with not 12, but 37 epic trail and mountain running videos to keep you motivated for hours.

To keep things simple, I’ve split them into three categories:

  • A Runner’s Story — videos that highlight inspiring runners and their passion for the sport.
  • The Appeal of the Mountains — also known as trail porn.
  • Not Just Another Race Video — a collection of the most motivational race videos on the web.

All told it’s nearly seven hours of footage, so sit back, relax, and get your running shoes ready.

A Runner’s Story

Videos that highlight some of the most inspiring runners and their passion for the sport.

The Pleasure and the Pain

65-year-old Bay Area runner Errol “The Rocket” Jones knows running. He knows pain, dedication, and perseverance. This is his story.

The Grand Canyon Rim-Rim-Rim has gotten a lot of attention recently, and up until this summer, Rob Krar held the fastest known time (see Chasing Walmsley below). In this short film by Joel Wolpert, get a feel for what it’s like to run the Canyon, and follow Rob as he shares just a sliver of what inspires his running.

We all run for different reasons, but we’re all united by the run. This is one of my favorite Salomon Running TV episodes, which explores a few of the many things that make us runners tick.

Sarah Ridgway – Mountain Runner

“You can go anywhere and run. You can do it with anyone.”

Amen to that!

The Lion & The Gazelle

Joe Grant may be my favorite ultrarunner to follow. His way with written words (not featured in the film) and passion for the mountains keeps me mesmerized, and shines brightly through this epic Arc’teryx commercial leading up to the 2014 Hardrock 100.

The Running Connection

The appeal of mountain running (easy to understand in the beautiful San Juan mountains).

On the Road

Another Salomon Running TV episode, this time featuring Rickey Gates. Rickey lives a unique lifestyle, filled with travel and exploration. Running has become one of the many outlets that fuel his fire for adventure.

Is curiosity what motivates us to explore our world through running? This beautiful short film, shot mostly during the 2014 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, tries to answer that question.

The Musician

Ben Gibbard, the frontman for Death Cab for Cutie, loves to run trails. He even has a trail guide travel with him on tour. How cool is that?

15 Hours | with Ann Trason

Billy Yang’s 15 Hours follows the life of a runner for 15 hours. He kicked off the series with Brett Rivers and Anton Krupika , but I think this film with Ann Trason, 14 time winner of the Western States 100, captures her personality and spirit the best.

15 Hours | with Magdalena Boulet

On second thought, maybe this one is the best …

Trail Fighter

Do former MMA fighters make good ultrarunners? Apparently. This is the story of Kyle Dietz, a former MMA fighter training to compete at the RUT 50k.

The Teacher

Stevie Kremer is one of the world’s top trail runners … and a second grade teacher. In this Solomon Running TV episode, we get a peek inside Stevie’s life, how she balances teaching and running, and how they benefit each other.

The Appeal of the Mountains (aka Trail Porn)

The crown traverse.

The Crown Traverse is a 600 mile route from Missula Montana to Banff, Alberta. Mike Foote and Mike Wolfe attempt the route on foot … and it’s wild.

The Ingenuous Choice

You know that anything featuring Anton Krupicka will have you drooling. The Ingenuous Choice is a reflection of the mountains and how they can heal us, featuring footage of Anton and others from the 2014 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc.

Dakota Jones, Running Mountains

The line between mountain running and high alpine climbing grows blurrier by the year. In this video, Dakota talks about the appeal of moving quickly up high, and shares shots from a Mt. Rainier speed attempt.

It’s hard to argue against Kilian as the best mountain runner of all time, but his grace in the mountains doesn’t stop when the snow falls.

Into Patagonia

Another trip to the mountains with Dakota Jones, this time it’s his return trip to the Patagonia mountains, where the adventure is less about the run than it is the experience.

A Fine Line

This one makes my hands sweat. Follow Michael Tweedly — with incredibly dramatic areal views — as he runs up the Ben Nevis ridgeline in Scotland.

Holy crap. That’s fast.

Mile for Mile

Transport yourself to the majestic Patagonia with ultrarunners Krissy Moehl, Jeff Browning and Luke Nelson, as they run through the newly developed park by Conservacion Patagonica. As an added bonus, the video also shows the incredible work that organization is achieving.

my addiction

Filmmaker and YouTube sensation Casey Neistat loves to run. It’s his addiction, and every runner can relate.

Fast and Light

Another brilliant film from Salomon Running TV, this time about the draw of moving quickly through the mountains, and the birth and growth of Sky Running.

The Joy of Running in a Beautiful Place

Enough said.

Not Just Another Race Video

Mont blanc | ccc utmb® 2015.

The Nike Trail team went after it at Mont Blanc in 2015, and Billy Yang was there to capture the experience.

The Squamish 50/50

Ethan Newberry (aka The Ginger Runner )’s film from his attempt at The Squamish 50/50 — a 50 miler on Saturday and 50k on Sunday. It’s a neat documentary with lots of the twists and turns we all experience during races. He might not be an elite runner, but he’s a damn fun filmmaker.

A fun, lighthearted look at the grit, determination, and spirit of exploration that goes into training for and running the Hardrock 100. Featuring appearances from Sébastien Chaigneau, Joe Grant, and many more.

Kroger’s Canteen

Kroger’s Canteen isn’t about a runner, instead it’s about an aid station — maybe the most famous aid station in ultra running — and the people and soul that makes it so unique. Kroger’s Canteen is perched on a tiny ledge at 13,100 feet along the Hardrock 100 course.

Miller VS Hawks

I think my favorite part about this film is hearing their breath and feeling the tension. This video perfectly captures the epic battle for first at the 2016 TNF Endurance Challenge in San Fransisco.

Western Time

There are countless highs and lows leading up to and during a 100 mile race, and in this short film, Billy Yang beautifully captures the story of Sally McRae’s 2014 Western States experience.

Thirty Hours

“I really like running, so I don’t really know about stopping. I’d like to run until the day I die.” – Wally Hesseltine

Thirty Hours , a short film that chronicles 72 year old Wally Hesseltine’s 2016 Western States 100 journey, came out about three months ago, but I find myself watching it again and again this month.

Chasing Walmsley

Every wondered what it’s like to run down the Grand Canyon faster than anyone else? Here’s your chance.

In 2016, Jeff Browning set out to break the combined time record of the Western States 100 and Hardrock 100. They’re scheduled just a few weeks apart.

On July 1st, 2015, Gary Robbins set out to break the Wonderland Trail’s fastest known time, and The Ginger Runner was there to document the journey. The burly 93 mile Wonderland Trail circumnavigates Mount Rainier, with more than 24,000 feet of elevation gain.

Skiing the Hardrock 100

The Hardrock 100 is one of the most iconic ultramarathons in the United States. What would it take to cover the 100 mile course in the dead of winter?

Racing the Darkness

Follow Sage Canaday’s 2016 Western States 100. Spoiler, it doesn’t go as planned.

The Beauty of the Irrational

Ryan Sandes of South Africa is one of those soft spoken runners you can’t help but love. In this film, The African Attachment documents his attempt to redeem himself against the jaw dropping Fish River Canyon.

If your favorite trail running short film wasn’t included, be sure to share it with everyone in the comments below.

I work at the Rock Creek Conservancy and we are celebrating the 125th Anniversary this year with a program full of events, in particular, a 12k run featuring the various Mills, called “Run of the Mills.”

Obviously, I am very impressed with your website, content, and knowledge, and would appreciate speaking with you about producing such an event and any advice you can provide.

Thank you, Paul [email protected]

People keep sending me videos I have never seen before! This is great. Here are a few more:

Hey guys, if you love watching trail running films, and socializing with like-minded adventure types in a festival-styled environment, then keep your eyes peeled for a screening of Trails In Motion 3 in a city near you, the world’s dedicated trail and ultra running film tour.

Here’s the teaser:

Billy Yang’s ‘Western Time’ should definitely be part of this list. Sally Mcrae’s performance at Western States is very inspiring!

Hey Michael,

Billy’s movie is great! Unfortunately it hadn’t been released yet when I put this list together back in October. Maybe it will be included in round two!

Thanks for reading and sharing with the group.

beautiful story and journey.

Emelie Forsberg embodies what I seek in this sport! There’s a smile in her voice when she talks about running. Thanks for posting!!! Many a montra, and motivating sound bites in her video. Every time I watch that video, I hit a trail and LOVE it!

Anton Krupicka. Sorry… not feeling it:) no passion in his voice or words.

Thanks for this article!! It’s revitalized my season!

Thanks for the great post!!!

OMG, I can kill so much time with these! Thank you, I could never find such a great collection of motivation. Stevie Kremer (The Teacher) is such an awesome runner and cute as a button to boot. And Trail Porn says it all. Thank you!!

17 Running Shoes Worth Packing—Whether You're a Casual Runner or a Marathoner

By Rachel Chang and Paris Wilson

All products featured on Condé Nast Traveler are independently selected by our editors. However, when you buy something through our retail links, we may earn an affiliate commission.

Finding the right running shoe can be harder than the workout itself . Running shoes come with different criteria than your normal walking shoes : It's important to consider the type of running you'll be doing , your arch, and the overall weight of the shoe. As for finding the proper fit for your foot, Shawn Marlovits, the owner of Fleet Foot Hoboken, says this: “A great fitting running shoe should have a snug fit in the heel and mid-foot with a roomy toe box. This gives the foot some good support in the heel and around the arch while allowing the toes to breathe. It should lace up the foot evenly and not put pressure on the instep of the foot.”

Marlovits suggested going up a full shoe size, and the tip can be used to help find the right fit across all brands of running shoes. “You should have about the width of a thumb from your longest toe to the end of the toe box when you are standing in your running shoes,” he says. This ‘rule of thumb’ takes into account that running shoes tend to run small and that feet may swell while running.

Dr. William Spielfogel , a podiatrist and medical advisor to The Good Feet Store , echoes that advice, and suggests trying on shoes at the end of the day when your feet are most swollen. And if you don’t find the exact right shoe match, there are other ways to customize your sneakers. “Many times, off-the-shelf athletic footwear will not provide enough support, which you should consider adding for additional comfort, shock absorption, and stability,” he says. “Adding a quality pair of arch supports to your footwear of choice can prevent unnecessary pain and alleviate the discomfort associated with increased activity.”

To help kickstart your search, we’ve rounded up some of the best running shoes on the market, tailored to a variety of needs and terrains, with recommendations from both casual runners and professionals alike—starting off with the ones our editors have been lacing up recently.

When a friend of mine on the wellness beat asked the group chat if anyone wanted a new pair of running shoes, I pounced. I was quickly becoming the Goldilocks of sneakers after recently retiring my go-to pair—every shoe was too tight or too flat or too cloud-like. I thought it couldn’t hurt to try the seafoam green pair my friend was offering. I’ve never looked back. The Adidas Adizero SL are my just right . My feet feel cushioned when I’m putting the miles behind me, whether along the East River or in a cruise ship gym, but not so much that I can’t sense the ground beneath me. My shin splints are lessened; my ankles feel stronger; and for the cherry on top, I receive more compliments on them than I can count. — Taylor Eisenhauer , editorial operations manager

This just might be the most comfortable running shoe I’ve ever worn. From jogs around my neighborhood and incline walks on the treadmill to long days on my feet running errands, the Hoka Clifton 9 has yet to let me down. What stands out most about this lightweight sneaker is just how much cushioning you get—the EVA foam midsole provides a ton of support and makes your feet feel like they're on a pillow. The sneaker has what looks like a thick platform, but that extra cushion and shock absorption just adds to the shoe’s comfort level. I was a little skeptical about the higher-than-usual heel at first, but it actually helps me slide my foot into the shoe more easily. Other perks: These sneakers are breathable, durable, and made with recycled materials. — Meaghan Kenny , associate commerce editor

travel running video

I've tried a number of Brooks running shoes, but the Ghosts 15 feel like the perfect pair. They're cushy, but still springy; they're lightweight, but sturdy. I also love that they come in an all-black colorway which makes them stylish  enough  that they're the only running shoes I have ever worn outside of running (ideal when you're trying to pack light). — Megan Spurrell , senior editor

travel running video

I got into running pretty late in life (I was 35), and honestly my priority was a shoe that didn’t look like a bag of Cheetos. My first pair of Wave Riders were black mesh with subtle turquoise accents. As I continued to run and get better, these shoes remained my favorite, and still are to this day. They have a breathable mesh fabric, are lightweight, and look great if I need to pop them on for errands. — Alex Sanidad, research director

travel running video

Lululemon is one of my go-to brands for activewear, so I was thrilled when it launched performance sneakers. I love the Blissful 2 running shoes—they’re lightweight, comfortable, and sleek. Designed specifically for women runners, this pair has a foam cushioning to soften landings. They’re a great pair to pack—I've worn these running, walking, or to a workout class. —M.K.

travel running video

I ran my last two half marathons in the Brooks Hyperion Max—at 6.8 ounces, the lightweight sneakers were easy to fit in my carry-on when flying to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and driving to Newport, Rhode Island, and kept me light on my feet throughout both races. I also wear them regularly on treadmills at the gym and in Mile High classes, and I find they work especially well on short runs. Compared to other Brooks models, they're designed to give neutral support and a medium level of cushioning, so if you're looking for a super cushiony feel, this probably isn't the shoe for you—but if you're looking for something lightweight and responsive with a fits-like-a-glove shape, I'd recommend them. — Madison Flager , senior commerce editor

travel running video

I'm a self proclaimed sneaker-head, but when it came to actual trainers that would be the right fit for me—I was stumped. I've been pleasantly surprised by the Saysh One sneakers in the year and a half I've worn them. The Saysh One is the first sneaker released by Allyson Felix 's brand, and was designed specifically for a woman's foot. I was skeptical with its slender, thin design, but have been pleasantly surprised by the arch and heel support. This shoe is also incredibly lightweight and molds to your foot. Two of my favorite aesthetic traits: the thin laces and woven texture. — Paris Wilson , commerce producer

Best for casual runners: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22

For 25 years, the Adrenaline has been a staple of Brooks’ lineup, with the GTS (appropriately named “Go-To Shoe”) earning the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance. The sneaker strikes the right balance of both “smart support” through its guide rails, which limit extra movements in the feet (and help stabilize the knees and hips), and soft cushioning that doesn’t become too squishy.

The best part is, the Adrenaline does all of its own work—catering toward any kind of foot-strike without the runner ever noticing. Having worn almost every model since the GTS 17, no matter how many other shoes I try—even the new Brooks Glycerin GTS 20 —I still find my way back to the trusty Adrenaline GTS, my true sole-mate.

Marlovits says this shoe, along with the New Balance 860 , Asics GT-2000 , and Hoka Clifton , tend to check off all the right needs for most runners, including being supportive, cushioned, flexible, lightweight, and durable.

Best everyday sneaker: On Cloudmonster

Look down at any race or airport, and you’re bound to see a pair of On running shoes on someone’s feet, as the Swiss brand has become one of the trendiest shoes on the market. On Athletic Club’s Oliver Hoare , who is also a track-and-field Olympian, wears On’s Cloudmonster shoe for general running. “This shoe has changed the game in cushion, support, and stability,” he says. “It is the Swiss army knife of training shoes for professional athletes and joggers.”

He’s taken the shoes from trails to city streets in every kind of weather, as well as various lengths, from 8- to 20-mile runs. “With the amount of mileage and strain I put on my body, I am able to get back a lot from each run by wearing the Cloudmonster,” he adds. One of his most memorable runs in them was a “killer” 19-mile run with American Olympian Joe Klecker and New Zealand world championship representative George Beamish on the “hilly dirt roads” of Tom Watson Park and Boulder Reservoir in Colorado , maintaining an under-six-minute-mile pace.

Most versatile running shoe: New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080v14

New Balance athlete and Peloton instructor Selena Samuela can jump from running to strength-training in an instant in this New Balance classic. “If you’re going somewhere and only have space for one pair of shoes, it has to be the 1080,” she says, adding that she especially loves the superior underfoot cushioning and range of color options.

“The Fresh Foam sneaker allows me to solely focus on the meditative act of running as the shoe itself is so comfortable it doesn’t distract from the experience,” Samuela says. “Additionally, I’m always looking for ways to be more environmentally conscious, and the Fresh Foam meets New Balance’s green leaf standard.” The hypo-knit upper is made with 50 percent or more recycled content, and offers stretch and support in all the right areas.

Best lightweight running shoe: Asics Noosa Tri 15

At 6.5 ounces, the Asics Noosa Tri was originally designed for triathletes, so it’s no surprise that it is 2016 Olympic gold medalist Gwen Jorgensen ’s top choice. “I have had Achilles issues and this shoe has a soft heel cup,” she says. “I also love that Asics is using a more sustainable design approach in creating this shoe.”

Along with its low weight (a win for those packing the shoe), the sneaker also uses the brand’s Guidesole technology with a curved sole and stiff forefoot combo that’s easier on the ankles and legs, helping runners of any kind stay nimble. Jorgensen says it’s great for uptempo or easy days, especially when she runs in one of her favorite spots, Harper Lake and Davidson Mesa in Louisville, Colorado.

Best for city runs: Adidas Adizero Boston 12

“As an NYC street runner, the pavement can wreak havoc on my body—tendon, shins, hips,” Bronx–based marathoner Louisa Tatum, who is part of the Mile Style running group, says. “But since discovering the Adidas Boston 10, via the Adidas Runners , all of my issues have been minimized because of the cushioning throughout the shoe and technology built in for mid-sole strikers.”

The pair, now in version 12, provided a smooth ride for her on runs from Harlem down to the southern tip of Manhattan as she trained for the Berlin Marathon. “The sneakers absorb the shock from the ground really well, carrying me through both long and short runs, and the best part is they are light and don't make much noise,” she says. Bonus tip from Tatum: “If you have wide feet, opt for a men’s shoe because it will have a bigger toe box.”

Marlovits says pavement shoes should have a bit more cushioning to soften the blow of the hard surface, noting the Hoka Bondi and Saucony Triumph as other leaders in this category.

Best technical running shoe: Brooks Cascadia 17

Brooks professional trail athlete and ultra-runner Hillary Allen had a tough time choosing between the brand’s Catamount (which is her go-to for fast runs, workouts, and hill repeats) and the Cascadia, which she prefers for “my burly mountain days and more technical trails where I need protection for my feet and cushion for my longer miles.”

Allen’s favorite feature are the lugs that help her both on and off the trail, across even the steepest terrains. In fact, it was the Cascadia that helped her place third at the San Juan Solstice 50-Mile Run in the mountains of south central Colorado, where she also achieved the fourth fastest time in the race’s history.

Best waterproof running shoe: Nike Pegasus Trail 4 Gore-Tex

Very few things can come between runners and the road—even poor weather conditions. But there’s nothing more painful than wet shoes, especially when they cause blisters and irritation. “Gore-Tex is a breathable waterproof laminate that will keep your feet warm and dry, but won’t get your feet too hot or sweaty” Marlovits says.

Raindrops end up slipping right off the upper, while an extra gaiter at the collar helps keep things tight so no water gets into the shoe. The rubber outsole also resembles a bike tire to ensure extra traction, no matter how stormy the situation. Other standouts in this category include Brooks GTX Ghost and the On Cloudventure Waterproof shoe.

Best racing shoe: Saucony Endorphin Speed 2

If you have a need for speed, you want to be as light on your feet as possible. “These shoes tend to be minimal and today some are even plated—they have a plastic or carbon plate within the midsole to propel you forward and make you a more efficient runner while they minimize fatigue,” Marlovits says of most racing shoes today.

While he also lists the Hoka Carbon X and the Nike Zoom Vaporfly as good options, the Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 has a sleek new design, marked with a tighter fit in the heel, most breathable mesh, suede details, and anti-slip laces that makes it a favorite. The seven-ounce shoe also has a reinforced outsole for added traction and durability.

Best all-terrain running shoe: New Balance Fresh Foam x 880

Finding a single pair of running shoes to take on vacation can be a challenge when your itinerary includes a healthy mix of adventures. But New York Road Runners ’ CEO Kerin Hempel has found her go-to traveling shoe with New Balance 880 when she ran through the volcanic lava fields at La Perouse Bay in Maui . “These shoes helped me trek from the white sand beaches of Wailea to the jagged rock trails along the southern tip of the island—one of the most beautiful runs I have taken,” she says.

Hempel says she loves that it’s a classic model for neutral runners that keeps getting tweaked and improved. The latest version is built with Fresh Foam X, which provides neutral underfoot cushioning anywhere you go—the road, trails, a hotel treadmill—but also a durable, dual-layer midsole construction. Best budget running shoe: Asics Gel-Contend 7

“Entry-level shoes in the specialty market tend to be around $100 to $110 today,” Marlovits says, noting the spike is related to inflation and supply chain issues. But more budget-friendly shoes do exist: the Asics Gel-Content 7 is a good neutral road shoe for all-day wear with rear-foot gel to absorb extra shock, a foam midsole for extra flexibility, and an Ortholite sock liner for moisture management.

Another strategy to save on is to go for older models of the same shoe, Marlovits suggests. “Most shoe models are updated each year and oftentimes the updates are minimal,” he says. “You may be better off buying a model from last season than buying a budget shoe—you get a better quality and more performance-oriented shoe for the same or less than a budget model.”

Things to look for in travel running or exercise sneakers.

When choosing the best travel running shoes, there are several key points to consider.

Firstly, travel friendliness, weight, size, fit, packability, and durability should all be taken into account. You want sneakers that are easy to take on your trips without taking up too much space in your luggage.

Secondly, they should be lightweight so they don’t weigh you down while exercising or walking around.

Finding the right size and fit is essential for comfort and performance.

Lastly, packability and durability are important factors to ensure your sneakers can withstand the rigors of travel without getting damaged.

Travel Friendly

Our article lists the most travel-friendly running shoes available today for those on the go. When you’re traveling, it’s essential to have footwear that is lightweight and easy to pack.

The running shoes in this list are designed for travel. These lightweight shoes offer cushioning and durability, ensuring your feet stay comfortable and protected during your runs or walks. A mesh upper provides breathability to keep your feet cool and dry, even in hot climates. Additionally, these shoes have excellent traction, allowing you to navigate different terrains while exploring new places confidently.

Whether you’re going for a run or need comfortable walking shoes for all-day wear, these travel-friendly running shoes are a versatile choice that will meet all your needs while on the move.

It’s crucial to consider the weight of your footwear, as lighter shoes can make a significant difference in your comfort and mobility while traveling.

You want something lightweight and flexible that won’t weigh you down. The running shoes on our list are designed to be super light, making them perfect for travel.

The most travel-friendly shoes are made from lightweight materials such as mesh or breathable fabrics. These will reduce the overall weight and allow your feet to breathe during long walks or runs.

The shoes detailed below can be worn on the plane or squeezed into your luggage without taking up too much space. With the lightest shoes on your feet, you’ll be ready to explore any destination with ease and comfort.

Size and Fit

To ensure a proper fit and prevent discomfort, make sure the size of your footwear is accurate, and the shoes are snug but not too tight. Finding the right size is crucial when choosing the right shoes for travel.

Look for shoes with a flexible midsole and breathable mesh upper to provide comfort and support. The midsole should have enough cushioning with foam technology to absorb shock and protect your feet during long walks or runs. Additionally, pay attention to the lacing system, as securing your foot in place helps achieve a better fit.

A common problem when wearing ill-fitting shoes is blisters, so make sure the toe box has enough room to allow natural movement without causing friction against your toes.

Packability

When considering footwear for travel, it’s important to find shoes that are easy to pack without sacrificing comfort or support.

You’ll want to look for lightweight options that won’t weigh down your luggage. The best travel-friendly shoes can easily be compressed and folded, occupying minimal space in your bag.

Additionally, look for shoe features such as breathable materials to keep your feet cool and comfortable during long walks or runs.

Consider shoes with reinforced soles and sturdy construction. When it comes to running shoes for travel, durability is key. Look for shoes that are lightweight, flexible, and built to last.

Brands like Saucony and New Balance offer a wide range of trail running shoes that fit these criteria. These shoes are designed with reinforced soles, making them resistant to wear and tear even on rugged terrains. The sturdy construction ensures that they can withstand the demands of your runs without compromising their performance or longevity.

When choosing the best running shoes for traveling, cushioning is a crucial factor to consider.

The market offers a wide range of options, but if you’re looking for the lightest and most packable running shoes without compromising on comfort and support, Adidas running shoes are worth considering.

Known for their innovative design and cutting-edge technology, Adidas has created a line of running sneakers that prioritize comfort while remaining lightweight and easy to pack. These shoes utilize advanced materials and construction techniques to deliver optimal impact absorption and energy return, allowing you to run longer distances with reduced fatigue.

You need a lightweight, flexible, and durable outsole when it comes to trail running or road running. These characteristics ensure your shoes can handle different terrains while providing optimal traction.

The best options have an outsole made from high-quality rubber or synthetic materials. This construction allows for excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces, reducing the risk of slips and falls during your runs or hikes.

Additionally, a well-designed outsole offers enough flexibility to adapt to uneven terrain while still providing necessary support.

Whether you’re looking for running shoes for travel or simply the best running, workout, or walking shoes, having a well-cushioned midsole is essential.

The midsole is the layer between your shoe’s outsole and upper, providing shock absorption and stability. A good pair of shoes with a supportive midsole can make all the difference in your overall comfort and performance.

Whether you prefer a sneaker-like feel or need something more rugged like a hiking shoe, make sure to prioritize a high-quality midsole when choosing your next pair of travel-friendly running shoes.

Your feet will thank you!

Refining Your Running Form Through Gait Analysis

How to Create Your Running Video

You can use a phone camera, a video camera or any good video device you may have.  As long as it can take some video of you running, we can use it!  To learn the details of how to create your video, read the steps below.

What to wear?

Running shorts, running shoes and sport bra (or no shirt for the men) or tight fitting shirt, tucked into your shorts.

Where to Film?

Your running video can be performed outside on a level surface with good lighting or on a treadmill.

Where does the Phone/Video Go?  Set up the video camera (or iphone) at thigh or hip level and preferably on a tripod or level surface; or have a friend hold the camera at thigh or hip level and maintain a level shot. Please shoot the video in landscape position or horizontally!

What to Record?

Video your normal running stride.

From the back for 10-30 seconds. From the front for 10-30 seconds. From the side for 3-10 steps on each leg.

You can do this easiest with a friend following you with the camera as you run by; or run by your video camera/phone at least 3 times from each side.

Specifics to aim for while videoing your running:  Try to fit your whole body in the shot from each angle (front, back, left side, right side views).  At least one shot from the rear with your whole foot, leg and hips in the frame.

After you shoot these, share them with me on  www.Dropbox.com  at [email protected]

Trump Has Been Convicted. Here’s What Happens Next.

Donald J. Trump has promised to appeal, but he may face limits on his ability to travel and to vote as he campaigns for the White House.

  • Share full article

Donald J. Trump in a dark suit, red tie and white shirt.

By Jesse McKinley and Maggie Astor

  • May 30, 2024

The conviction of former President Donald J. Trump on Thursday is just the latest step in his legal odyssey in New York’s court system. The judge, Juan M. Merchan, set Mr. Trump’s sentencing for July 11, at which point he could be sentenced to as much as four years behind bars, or to probation.

It won’t stop him from running for president, though: There is no legal prohibition on felons doing that . No constitutional provision would stop him even from serving as president from a prison cell, though in practice that would trigger a crisis that courts would almost certainly have to resolve.

His ability to vote — for himself, presumably — depends on whether he is sentenced to prison. Florida, where he is registered, requires felons convicted there to complete their full sentence, including parole or probation, before regaining voting rights. But when Floridians are convicted in another state, Florida defers to the laws of that state, and New York disenfranchises felons only while they are in prison.

The Trump Manhattan Criminal Verdict, Count By Count

Former President Donald J. Trump faced 34 felony charges of falsifying business records, related to the reimbursement of hush money paid to the porn star Stormy Daniels in order to cover up a sex scandal around the 2016 presidential election.

“Because Florida recognizes voting rights restoration in the state of conviction, and because New York’s law states that those with a felony conviction do not lose their right to vote unless they are incarcerated during the election, then Trump will not lose his right to vote in this case unless he is in prison on Election Day,” said Blair Bowie, a lawyer at the Campaign Legal Center, a nonprofit watchdog group.

Mr. Trump will almost certainly appeal his conviction, after months of criticizing the case and attacking the Manhattan district attorney, who brought it, and Justice Merchan, who presided over his trial.

Long before that appeal is heard, however, Mr. Trump will be enmeshed in the gears of the criminal justice system.

A pre-sentencing report makes recommendations based on the defendant’s criminal record — Mr. Trump had none before this case — as well as his personal history and the crime itself. The former president was found guilty of falsifying business records in relation to a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, a porn star who says she had a brief sexual tryst with Mr. Trump in 2006, in order to buy her silence.

At the pre-sentence interview, a psychologist or social worker working for the probation department may also talk to Mr. Trump, during which time the defendant can “try to make a good impression and explain why he or she deserves a lighter punishment,” according to the New York State Unified Court System.

The pre-sentencing report can also include submissions from the defense, and may describe whether “the defendant is in a counseling program or has a steady job.”

In Mr. Trump’s case, of course, he is applying — as it were — for a steady job as president of the United States, a campaign that may be complicated by his new status as a felon. Mr. Trump will likely be required to regularly report to a probation officer, and rules on travel could be imposed.

Mr. Trump was convicted of 34 Class E felonies, New York’s lowest level , each of which carry a potential penalty of up to four years in prison. Probation or home confinement are other possibilities that Justice Merchan can consider.

That said, Justice Merchan has indicated in the past that he takes white-collar crime seriously . If he did impose prison time, he would likely impose the punishment concurrently, meaning that Mr. Trump would serve time on each of the counts he was convicted of simultaneously.

If Mr. Trump were instead sentenced to probation, he could still be jailed if he were later found to have committed additional crimes. Mr. Trump, 77, currently faces three other criminal cases: two federal, dealing with his handling of classified documents and his efforts to overturn the 2020 election , and a state case in Georgia that concerns election interference.

Mr. Trump’s lawyers can file a notice of appeal after sentencing, scheduled for July 11 at 10 a.m. And the judge could stay any punishment during an appeal, something that could delay punishment beyond Election Day.

The proceedings will continue even if he wins: Because it’s a state case, not federal, Mr. Trump would have no power as president to pardon himself .

The running mum had to swerve around the two children (Picture: TikTok)

As personal trainer Luciana Grandi Lourenção sprints towards the finish line of the Presidente Prudente Half Marathon in Brazil, she’s already celebrating.

But just as she’s about to achieve the incredible feat and win the race, her husband on the sidelines appears to lead their two young children onto the track to approach her.

Rather than stop, Luciana swerves the kids, and has her moment, screaming with excitement.

In the background, her husband, Pedro, shrugs, confused at the events that have just unfolded.

The short clip was shared on X by a furious user, Virginia Brasch, who identifies the man as Luciana’s husband. She fumed: ‘This man shoves his kids out into the middle of a race… to derail his wife’s time and chance at winning.

‘Then after she crosses the finish, he gestures to the side like “Hello? The kids?” Reader, I hate him.

‘She’s clearly a serious runner, tracking her time, and winning the race. And he couldn’t let her have that moment? She’s clearly worked hard for it. I’d have a divorce lawyer on the phone before the car got home.’

Virginia’s post was viewed more than 4.9 million times, with countless stiches and reposts of the original video on TikTok.

But now, Luciana has spoken out in defence of her husband, saying he was simply following her wishes.

‘We decided to take the girls to the race so that I could cross the finish line with them,’ Luciana said in a video. ‘I thought it would have been really nice and cool to create this moment with the children.’

However, Luciana hadn’t anticipated that she would be in with the chance of potentially winning the race – inching closer to the finish line with another runner behind her.

‘I needed to get there and that was it. I saw the girls quickly, but I couldn’t stop,’ she says.

An upset Pedro added: ‘They kept calling me a saboteur. But they should know that it was this “saboteur” who made two calls so that Luciana could participate in the race, since registration had ended.’

Despite the couple clearing up the reality of the situation, the video certainly touched a nerve.

It’s no secret that women are still fighting an uphill battle for equality: for example, they spend a whopping 1,361 hours each year doing  unpaid labour , the equivalent of nearly two months. This is 51 hours of childcare per year more than dads. Just 9% of women feel the mental load of parenting is shared evenly with their partner, and 18% of mothers would love if the father of their children helped out more around the house.

‘Why do we as women seem forced into making every achievement about our kids?’ asked one user on Instagram . While a second added: ‘You would never see a woman do this to a father… can a woman ever have her own identity aside from ‘mom’ like f**king, ever?!’

‘Let women have their own achievements and moments!’ a third added.

The video has also seen the internet draw comparisons to the shocking college commencement speech given by NFL footballer, Harrison Butker , who told a room full of graduating women, ready to start their careers, that ‘the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.’

Super Bowl LVIII - San Francisco 49ers v Kansas City Chiefs

He added that his wife’s life ‘truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.’

Commenting on the half-marathon video, one Instagram user said: ‘It’s giving, “your most sacred duty as a woman is being a mother” or whatever that guy that kicks footballs said.’

Rowan Megan Whitehead is a mum-of-two and runs UK based support group Bridging The Gap . The online space is dedicated to providing support for  mums  and marginalised genders facing challenges in household labour division, or receiving little assistance from their husbands and partners at home.

She told Metro.co.uk that her members were equally infuriated by the video.

‘We had a lot of shares of the video of Luciana Grandi to Bridging the Gap Community Group , which now has 66k members,’ she says.

‘Most comments were absolutely outraged at what seemed to be deliberate sabotage of her amazing achievement in the half marathon. It was dangerous and off putting, and a visceral example of how many men see their partners as mums first and everything else afterwards.

Rowan runs Bridging The Gap (Picture: Rowan Megan Whitehead)

‘As women’s successes rise there always seems to be those trying to put us back in our “place” and not taking accountability for the damage this causes to the push for gender equity.’

However, Rowan adds that this situation is an example of a video – which turned out to not be all that it seemed – taking focus away from the bigger issue.

‘It’s hard to know the background and context from one video. They tend to stir up lots of righteous anger and frustration, but that can cause outrage fatigue and stop us focusing on the bigger societal issues that cause these types of situations,’ she explains.

Can convicted felons like Trump vote? What comes next after guilty verdict

Donald Trump's historic felony conviction on Thursday raises a big and very personal question for the former president as he runs for his old White House job: Can Trump vote for himself this November?

The answer depends on whether the presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee will spend time in prison. And that's a big unknown at this point.

Legal experts have suggested Trump's sentence — which he will almost certainly appeal — could fall somewhere between probation and four years in prison . He'll learn his official fate on July 11, just four days before the start of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

While the U.S. Constitution  doesn’t explicitly bar felons  from serving as president, a number of states do restrict felons’ voting rights. In Florida, where  Trump lives , a felon’s right to vote is determined by the rules in the state where they received the conviction.

Prep for the polls: See who is running for president and compare where they stand on key issues in our Voter Guide

And that could be good news for Trump.

New York only removes a felon’s right to vote during the time that they are in prison. Felons who are living in the community remain eligible to participate in elections.

That means Trump would need to be incarcerated at the time of the November election to lose his right to vote over the hush money conviction . And a prison sentence for the ex-president could look different than it would for a normal person, considering the around-the-clock Secret Service protection he receives.

Trump is also almost certain to appeal a conviction, a process that could keep him out of jail for months as he awaits a final judgment. That leaves only a small chance that he’ll lose his vote for the 2024 election.

Trump still faces additional charges in the Mar-a-lago  classified documents case , the federal  election interference  case in the District of Columbia and the Georgia  election interference  case. None of those are currently scheduled to go to trial, and it's unclear if any of them will happen by Election Day.

OTTAWA — A Canadian immigration lawyer says Donald Trump is technically barred from crossing into Canada now that he is a convicted felon.

Now Donald Trump is a convicted felon, he's barred from entering Canada — technically Back to video

The former U.S. president was found guilty Thursday on all 34 counts in his criminal hush money trial, punishable by up to four years in prison.

“Technically, upon him being convicted, he is now inadmissible to Canada,” said Mario Bellissimo, a Toronto-based immigration lawyer and policy analyst.

Given the number of convictions, Trump is likely to remain barred from crossing the Canadian border as a civilian until at least five years after he has served his sentence, Bellissimo said.

After that, he can apply for a “certificate of rehabilitation.”

Alternatively, Trump could apply for a visa if he had an especially compelling reason to come to Canada, the lawyer said, but it would be very difficult for most people to get one in the same circumstances.

However, Trump is anything but a conventional case.

The verdict makes Trump the first former American president to be found guilty of felony crimes, and comes just six months before the presidential election in which Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee.

Trump’s ability to travel north may well depend on his political fortunes and whether is elected to the Oval Office once again. Canada’s government has the discretion to allow people in, especially for diplomatic reasons, said immigration lawyer Nathan McQuarrie.

“In practice, the Canadian government would likely weigh the diplomatic consequences and might still find a way to facilitate the visit, possibly under special permissions or conditions,” said McQuarrie, who is based in British Columbia and specializes in cross-border cases with the U.S.

“While convictions could theoretically affect the admissibility of a U.S. president to Canada, the reality is that diplomatic considerations and special permits … are likely to facilitate their entry, especially for official duties.”

But the more serious the crime, the more significant the issue, said McQuarrie, and fraud convictions would fall into the “serious” category.

Spokespeople for the public safety and immigration ministers said they would not discuss individual cases, even ones as high-profile as Trump’s.

The Canada Border Services Agency said decisions about who is allowed into Canada are made on a “case-by-case basis.”

“Several factors are used in determining if an individual is admissible to Canada, including involvement in criminal activity, human rights violations, organized crime, security, health or financial reasons,” the agency said in a statement.

Trump repeatedly professed his love for Canada during his time in the Oval Office, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Canada is top of his list of travel destinations.

His only visit to Canada as president was a raucous affair that ended in a major spat between him and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The 2018 G7 summit in La Malbaie, Que., included closed-door conversations among leaders and negotiations to replace the continental trade agreement, NAFTA.

After a press conference to wrap up the summit, Trump lashed out on social media to call the prime minister “weak” and “dishonest,” based on statements Trudeau made at a press conference as the summit wrapped up.

Following the spat, his trade adviser Peter Navarro accused Trudeau of stabbing Trump “in the back on his way out the door.”

Trump’s sentencing is set for July 11, just days before the Republican National Convention.

The irony, said Bellissimo, is that if Trump committed the same crimes as a Canadian, travelling south of the border would probably be off the table.

“It is a crime of moral turpitude,” Bellissimo said.

“Even after potentially being cleared of the time, and finishing a sentence, it would be very difficult to get into the United States. But that’s a whole other story.”

Donald Trump is convicted of a felony. Here's how that affects the 2024 presidential race

Having been convicted of 34 felonies, Donald Trump cannot own a gun, hold public office or even vote in many states

NEW YORK -- Having been convicted of 34 felonies, Donald Trump cannot own a gun, hold public office or even vote in many states.

But in 158 days, voters across America will decide whether he will return to the White House to serve another four years as the nation's president.

Trump's conviction in his New York hush money trial on Thursday is a stunning development in an already unorthodox presidential election with profound implications for the justice system and perhaps U.S. democracy itself.

But in a deeply divided America, it's unclear whether Trump's status as someone with a felony conviction will have any impact at all on the 2024 election. Trump remains in a competitive position against President Joe Biden this fall, even as the Republican former president now faces the prospect of a prison sentence in the run-up to the November election.

In the short term at least, there were immediate signs that the unanimous guilty verdict was helping to unify the Republican Party’s disparate factions as GOP officials in Congress and in state capitals across the country rallied behind their presumptive presidential nominee, while his campaign expected to benefit from a flood of new fundraising dollars.

Standing outside the courtroom, Trump described the verdict as the result of a “rigged, disgraceful trial.”

“The real verdict is going to be Nov. 5 by the people," Trump said, referring to Election Day. “This is long from over.”

The immediate reaction from elected Democrats was muted by comparison, although the Biden campaign issued a fundraising appeal within minutes of the verdict suggesting that the fundamentals of the election had not changed.

“We're THRILLED that justice has finally been served,” the campaign wrote. “But this convicted criminal can STILL win back the presidency this fall without a huge surge in Democratic support.”

There has been some polling conducted on the impact of a guilty verdict, although such hypothetical scenarios are notoriously difficult to predict.

A recent ABC News/Ipsos poll found that only 4% of Trump’s supporters said they would withdraw their support if he’s convicted of a felony, though an additional 16% said they would reconsider it.

On the eve of the verdict, the Trump campaign released a memo from its polling team suggesting that the impact of the trial is “already baked into the race in target states.”

Trump campaign advisers argued the case would help them motivate their core supporters. So many donations came into WinRed, the platform the campaign uses for fundraising, that it crashed. Aides quickly worked to set up a backup platform to collect money pouring in.

Trump headed Thursday night to a fundraising event scheduled before the verdict, according to a person familiar with his plans who was not authorized to speak publicly.

His two most senior campaign advisers, Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, were not with him in New York, but in Palm Beach, Florida, where the campaign is headquartered.

And while it may take days or weeks to know for sure, Trump's critics in both parties generally agreed that there may not be much political fallout, although some were hopeful that the convictions would have at least a marginal impact in what will likely be a close election.

Sarah Longwell, founder of Republican Voters Against Trump, who conducts regular focus groups, suggested the guilty verdict may help Biden on the margins by pushing so-called “double haters” — a term used to describe voters who dislike Trump and Biden — away from Trump.

But more than anything, she suggested that voters simply haven't been following the trial very closely.

“The best thing about the trial ending is that it ended," Longwell said, describing the courtroom proceeding as a distraction from more serious issues in the campaign. “There will now be an opportunity to focus the narrative on who Trump is and what a second Trump term would look like.”

Republican pollster Neil Newhouse predicted that the trial may ultimately have little impact in a lightning-fast news environment with several months before early polls open.

“Voters have short memories and even shorter attention spans,” Newhouse said. “Just as the former president’s two impeachments have done little to dim Trump’s support, this guilty verdict may be overshadowed in three weeks by the first presidential debate.”

The judge set sentencing for July 11, just four days before the scheduled start of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Each of the falsifying business records charges carries up to four years behind bars, though prosecutors have not said whether they intend to seek imprisonment. Nor is it clear whether the judge — who earlier in the trial warned of jail time for gag order violations — would impose that punishment even if asked.

Trump will be able to vote in Florida, where he established residency in 2019, if he is not in prison on Election Day.

And imprisonment would not bar Trump from continuing his pursuit of the White House.

Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who was with the former president in court this week and also serves as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, said in a Fox News Channel interview before the verdict that Trump would still try to campaign for the presidency if convicted.

If Trump is given a sentence of home confinement, she said, “We will have him doing virtual rallies and campaign events if that is the case. And we’ll have to play the hand that we’re dealt."

There are no campaign rallies on the calendar for now, though Trump is expected to hold fundraisers next week.

Biden himself has yet to weigh in.

He was spending the night at his family’s beach house in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, after marking the anniversary of his son Beau’s death earlier in the day at church.

Texas voter Steven Guarner, a 24-year-old nurse, said he’s undecided on who he'll vote for in the upcoming election.

Guarner, an independent, said the verdict will be a deciding factor for him once he studies the details of the trial. He didn't think it would sway the many voters who are already decided on the Biden-Trump rematch, however.

“I think his base is the type that might not care much or might agree with him about the court system,” Guarner said of Trump.

Indeed, Republican officials from Florida to Wisconsin to Arkansas and Illinois condemned the verdict as a miscarriage of justice by what they described as a politically motivated prosecutor and blue-state jury.

Brian Schimming, chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s executive committee, called the case against Trump a “sham” and a “national embarrassment.”

“There was no justice in New York today,” Schimming charged.

And Michael Perez Ruiz, a 47-year-old who was ordering food shortly after the verdict at Miami's Versailles restaurant, an icon of the city's GOP-leaning Cuban American community, said he would continue to stand by Trump.

“I would vote for him 20 times,” Perez Ruiz said.

AP writers Emily Swanson and Zeke Miller in Washington; Jill Colvin and Michelle L. Price in New York; Todd Richmond in Madison, Wisconsin; Adriana Gomez Licon in Miami; and Valerie Gonzalez in McAllen, Texas, contributed.

Beginner Tips For Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2

Quick links, always check side paths, mix up dodges and parries, the voices sometimes offer hints, save heavy attack for mirror combos, avoid the red light, always keep fighting and pressing forward.

In her first quest, Senua descended into Helheim and challenged the goddess of the dead. Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 pits her against foes that are more worldly, but no less dangerous. Throw in the dangers of a volcanic island and Senua's own overwhelming visions, and her adventure in Iceland could prove to be even more deadly.

Dungeons & Dragons: How To Run A Viking Campaign

Like the original, Hellblade 2 is a fairly straightforward journey, but that doesn't mean it's easy. By mastering combat and exploration early, you'll be much better equipped to face the ravenous Draugr and uncover the secrets hidden around every corner of the island.

There are very few actual dead ends in Senua's Saga. If there's a fork off the main path, it almost always leads to one or more collectibles in the form of Lorestangir or Hidden Faces. At the very least, you'll likely uncover some voice lines or details that you wouldn't have heard otherwise, deepening your immersion in the story.

Try Focusing on anything that looks interesting - you never know what might attract the interest of the Voices.

Senua's two main defenses in combat are dodging and parrying. Against most attacks, either will suffice, but some enemies have moves that can only be avoided by one or the other.

If an enemy's weapon flashes red as they are about to strike, parrying will cause Senua to fall over. Learn to anticipate these attacks and dodge instead.

Additionally, using the same defense multiple times in a row can throw Senua off balance; for example, several rapid dodges will force her to dive and roll, leaving her prone and vulnerable for a moment.

While you're learning an enemy's pattern, alternate dodges and parries to avoid damage without ceding too much advantage to your foe.

Dodges have to be timed just before the attack lands, while parries can simply be held until your enemy strikes.

The Voices in Senua's head have a lot to say, and much of it is just noise. However, they occasionally have insight, especially when there is a hidden collectible or puzzle solution nearby . If the Voices say something that sounds like actual advice , it always pays to listen.

15 Games To Play If You Love Norse Mythology

Heavy Attacks deal more damage, but have a long windup that most enemies can easily exploit. For this reason, it's best to stick to Light Attacks during normal combat, which are faster and easier to combo with.

When you acquire the Mirror in Chapter Two, you can use it to slow time once it's been charged by strikes and parries. While the Mirror is active, your Heavy Attacks will be lightning-fast , allowing you to dispatch most normal enemies in seconds. That's your time to unleash these normally-cumbersome blows.

The Mirror slows time, but doesn't stop it. An enemy that's mid-swing can still land a hit between your strikes if you aren't careful.

In Senua's visions, her monstrous father Zynbel is represented by a harsh red light. If you can see the light at the end of a path, turn around and find another way. Going toward Zynbel will cause the screen to shake as a warning, and if you continue Senua will be overcome and you'll have to start the current challenge over.

If you've played the first game, you know that the key to surviving Senua's ordeal is to push forward no matter what. This is especially true during some of the game's longer battles, where a horde of enemies or a single insurmountable foe just won't die.

Even if you don't seem to be making progress, you are. Keep fighting and pushing through dangerous areas until you either break through the other side or until Senua collapses and you need to start over.
