I would say KET is the best tour operator in Kenya. They made our Safari successful with their best professional and friendly approach. They placed our comfort before profit and provided services that must have severely limited their profit. Their driver, the vehicle, the hotels and resorts that they provided in the package was worth more than what I paid. Driver Francis is finest drivers on Kenyan roads and in game parks. His knowledge and understanding of wildlife and nature around helps one enjoy the safari and see all that is there on offer. His patience and friendliness is non-comparable. We became acquainted with Kenya Expresso Tours and Safaris (KETS) 1 ½ years ago when we began looking for a 1 day safari in Kenya. Originally, we were only going to spend 1 day in Kenya before flying to Rwanda to trek after the mountain gorillas. As we researched KETS 1 day safaris, we became captivated with them. They offered a variety of 1 day safaris, their price was unbelievably great, and they had phenomenal reviews on TripAdvisor. Also, we would be the only people on their 1 day safaris with our own private driver/guide. It soon became apparent to us, that we wanted to spend more than 1 day on the traditional safari offered by KETS. We wanted to see so much more since we were flying all the way to Kenya from Chicago. We wanted to have the best possible chance to see the Big 5, and to see the Great Migration of the wildebeast, and their river crossing. So, we emailed Paul, the tour consultant of KETS, and asked his advice. Paul answered all of our emails within 24 hours, and was very helpful in helping us customize an itinerary. Paul recommended visiting Kenya in September. This would give us the best chance of observing the Big 5 and the migration. He also recommended visiting Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara. Paul must be a phenomenal prognostigator!!! We followed his recommendations and were able to see the Big 5 and the wildebeasts crossing the Mara River during their migration. We were awed, astounded, amazed, and just overwhelmed with the beauty and wildness of Amboseli, Masai Mara, and Lake Nakura. Our accomodations were spacious and restful, with satisfying meals, mostly served buffet style. Dishes included familiar foods as well as a few native dishes. All these appetizing dishes were offered in delicious large quantities. Due to the expertise planning of Kenya Expresso Tours and Safaris, we experienced the unparalleled wilderness of this fascinating country and had the privilege of being escorted by Philip, a very able driver and knowledgeable guide. My husband and I were the only visitors in the roomy Toyota Land Cruiser, and we found Philip to be a reliable driver and a bold, intelligent guide who often surprised us with unexpected sightings. He found the big 5 for us to observe and photograph during the first 26 hours of our visit, including both the black and white rhinos! Philip would position the vehicle as close as possible to the animals so that we had the best possible views and locations for our photos. He took us to an excellent vantage point overlooking the Mara River to watch the wildebeasts cross. After one hour of waiting unsuccessfully for the wildebeasts to cross, we left to explore other areas. Shortly, we came across a pride of lions, and stopped to observe and photograph them. After several minutes, the male started to court one of the females, and then started to mate with her right in front of us!! While watching the lions mate, Philip heard on his radio that the wildebeasts started to cross the river. So, he told us to buckle-up, turned the Land Cruiser around, and put the pedal to the metal. He got us to the river safely in time to watch the wildebeasts!!! All of our wishes for our Kenya safari had come to fruition. Unbelievable!!! We could not have wished for a better experience than the one we had with KETS, Paul, and Philip. Paul even assisted us when the airlines lost our luggage, and he was instrumental in tracking down our bags when we had no luck in finding them. So, book a wonderful never-to-be-forgotten journey with Kenya Express Tours and Safaris. You will find that for the money spent, this trip will be a significant value. I booked this safari after doing a lot of research, using the same premise: 3 day, 4 night safari. Paul Mwendwa at KET was very responsive in booking from the US. This by far was not the most expensive or the cheapest. The value was priceless. I was greeted promptly at my hotel in Nairobi by Lucky, my driver. He had to be the happiest person I've ever met. We were due to have 3 people on this tour, which was the minimum, but 2 cancelled, but he made sure that I still was able to have the tour though I was the only passenger. He grew up in the bush and it was evident in the information and expertise he provided. The first day was at Lion Hill Lodge at Lake Nakuru. The 2nd and 3rd day was at the Masa Lodge in Maasai Mara. My objective was to get to see The Big 5, though most tours I have found don't quite meet that objective, because they are the hardest to find. Lucky was very knowledgeable about his surrounding and after 3 days we found all 5. He was very good at not talking when we came across animals, because he felt one needed to have a visual experience, not just somebody that sat at the drivers seat and talked about animal history. If I asked a question he would answer. We also visited a Maasai indigenous family village. At the end of the tour, he gave me a beautifully crafted hand-made beaded belt with my name and flags of US and Kenya. Seems he estimated my waist size our first day and he must have made it at night after our day was finished. I was deliver safely back to my hotel and given a big bear hug by this guy. I could talk for hours about my trip but it would spoil it for the next visitor. Want customer service at a good price? KET is your choice for a safari.

We organized a 5 day/4night safari and the Nairobi day trip (including Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum) via email with the own Paul. Paul replies very quickly to emails and it was a pleasure dealing with him. Initially we were a bit skeptical when Paul asked us to wire transfer a US dollar deposit for the safari to a Kenyan bank - but if you google KET safaris it is all safe - just make sure you are transferring to a company name and check the details. You can pay the remainder by credit card when you get there (3% surcharge). Comparing other companies the tour was actually of excellent value. The cost differs depending on the accommodation provided. Please note that these tours are private - so we booked for 2 and go the whole van to ourselves. We say many vans with 7-8 people tightly packed. At one camp we saw APT tours and their 3 Jeeps were fully packed. The 3 lodges we stayed (Ol Tukai-Amboselli, Lake Nakuru Lodge-Lake Nakuru and Sarova Mara Camp-Masi Mara) at were all very good to excellent so don't fear KET does look after you. All these camps are full board - nearly all buffets so there is lots of food choices. All the camps have mosquito nets covering the bed. Our driver Lucky for both tours was great, experienced at spotting wildlife and answering all the questions we had. He has a good sense of humour. Lucky was also an incredibly safe driver considering how bad the roads are and is very considerate having breaks every 2 hours or so. Also note that you are not permitted to get out of the van inside the parks. The road trips between national parks are long and bumpy (especially off road). We managed to see nearly all the big 5 (except the Leopard - we did see Cheetahs). The Masai Mara was probably the pick of the parks, being the largest with the greatest variety and quantity of wildlife. However, each park has their own uniqueness and we saw Flamingos and Rhinos in Lake Nakuru that we did not see elsewhere. The major highlight was seeing the wildebeest crossing the Mara? river - apparently very rare. There are plenty of opportunities to buy souvenirs - from the numerous curios (gift) shops and from the Masai people who come up to the van at the national park entrances. Overall, I would highly recommend KET safaris as your tour organizer. Tourism has taken a hit due to the Ebola outbreak, but there was not much hype at all inside the country (they have already banned flights from at risk countries entering Kenya). Come on guys go and support the tourism industry and I assure you that you wont be disappointed

Τα lodge στο πάρκο Amboseli και Masai Mara ήταν πανέμορφα, καθαρά και με πλούσιο μπουφέ στο πρωινό και τα γεύματα. Το ξενοδοχείο στην λίμνη Ναϊβάσα ήταν κάτω του μετρίου αλλά μείναμε μόνο μισή μέρα, οπότε οκ. Γενικά όλα κύλισαν ομαλά, χωρίς εκπλήξεις και στο σύνολο η εμπειρία μου ήταν παραπάνω από το αναμενόμενο.

Absolutely fantastic! I was with a lovely group of people, the guide and driver were brilliant and the accommodation was out of this world. Only down side is lots of travelling but the experience made up for it. Loved the Fig Tree and masi mara.

Masai Mara Camping Safari

Our guide was great and interacted well with the group. He had lots of animal knowledge and found us some great animals. Our transport was a van but it made it there and back and wasn't too bad for game viewing. Plenty of space for the 6 of us. Accommodation is a basic tent with bed and mossie net but was all we really needed. Meals were good and there was always plenty. While the trip is advertised as 4 days, it's only 3. I would have enjoyed having an extra day to spend in the Mara.

I was really impressed by this tour as I was unsure what to expect of a traditionally "party focused" company doing an African safari. I have to say I was blown away. This is a very different type of Contiki with local guides and drivers who are professional and friendly as well as being open and knowledgeable about local culture and customs - plus the animal and landscape knowledge. We saw four of the big five on our first game drive and while the animals seen is beyond anyone's control, it was an incredible experience. We were blessed with sun and rain and the team made sure we didn't miss out on anything, even when it rained. There are plenty of game drives to give you the best chance of seeing as much as possible. The vehicles are comfortable and everyone gets a window seat. The accommodation exceeded my expectations and the staff at each lodge or camp were exceptionally helpful and friendly. This is the perfect trip for anyone wanting to see the animals of Africa (especially elephants and giraffes) and the scenery of East Africa, including the elusive Mt. Kilimanjaro.

6 Days Kenya Budget Small Group Safari

Fabulous tour guide and super value in terms of the amount of safaris and experiences. Ben could not do enough in terms of making sure that you see all of the big 5 and Kilimanjaro....super photos....Good village experiences. Budget does mean that though, in relation to accommodation and food - as although there are facilities and electricity it does not really work...or leaks...or is very dirty... The lovely staff made up for it though.

6 Day Kenya Cultural Safari

After seeing the Best Ever Food Tour visit at the Maasai Mara village in Amboseli, I was inspired to go! I contacted Emmanuel and he was instantly a wealth of knowledge. We communicated often about my trip so much that by the time we met, I felt as if I were amongst friends. Along with Emmanuel was Carlos Roy, our driver. Carlos and Emmanuel were incredibly knowledgeable about the Maasai people, the area and could answer all of my questions. Carlos is by far the best driver. He is considerate and has a great sense of humor. You definitely won't be bored as he introduces you to the "African massage"! On the tour, Emmanuel was able to translate my questions, arrange a time for me to personally interview the elder and much more! This tour was hands down one of my favorite experiences during my entire trip. I've been to another Maasai village and this by far was the most authentic. I felt as if I was truly able to experience the culture as well as gain an appreciation for their desire to keep up with today's technology while preserving their traditions and norms. I'm so glad I did this tour with Emmanuel and Carolos. I am a travel advisor and my goal is to send my clients seeking an authentic experience to tour with Emmanuel and Carlos in the future. My one piece of advice would be not to wait, book today because this is a really popular tour!!!
