It initially had no suspension at all, but later model years added elastomer based front suspension. Many of the models used grip shifters mated to 3x7 drivetrains.

Old Trek 930 HELP!!!! I just recently bought a old trek 930 singletrack with rock shox and I believe it's stock. From what I hear these are excellent bikes yet there age. I am just now getting into biking and am really looking to get addicted to riding and possibly buy a road bike and do several 1000 miles a year.

After some online digging, I learned that this is a virtually bombproof bike, with solid Shimano Altus components. I'm a big fan of vintage bikes, especially lugged steel frames like this one has.
1994 and 1995 Trek 930/950/970
The 1994 Trek 930/950/970 bikes were completely revised from the 1993 version. They were still made in the USA using True Temper tubing, but now the frames were TIG welded instead of lugged, and as a result had cleaner lines and lower weight. In 1994 I was working as a mechanic at Start to Finish in San Francisco, so I built up lots of these bikes.

A massive cascading failure saw power outages for several hours across large parts of Moscow and four surrounding regions leaving as many as 2 million people without electricity. The failure is centred round the Chagino substation in Kapotnya, south of Moscow that was damaged by fire the previous evening and broke down as morning demand rose.
