Warsaw is a city which often suprises visitors. Sometimes people have heard the city was heavily damaged during WW2 and they might expect to see some ruins here and there. But this is not what they are going to find here. The city is a big, modern town with the little charm of the narrow streets of the Old Town. I love taking the visitors around and tell them the story of the town as well as the story of people who lived there. We talk a lot about Frederic Chopin or Madame Curie who were both born in Warsaw. We follow different paths according to travelers' interest. Kennedy Library Hosts Tour Of Local Cemetery

The Kennedy Free Library hosted a tour of Riverside Cemetery in Kennedy recently during its “libratory” homeschool class hosted bimonthly. Kim LeRoy is the town of Poland historian and helped put together facts about Poland residents buried in Riverside Cemetery. The families present learned the legend of the one-legged peddlar and the niece-in-law of Mark Twain who is buried in the cemetery as well as one of Lucille Ball’s school teachers. October 5, the library will be hosting a historic cemetery tour at Riverside Cemetery open to the public.
