Ghost Announce 2023 ‘Re-Imperatour’ U.S. Tour Dates With Amon Amarth
Ghost have announced their first set of U.S. tour dates for 2023. Dubbed the Re-Imperatour, the 27-date tour will feature Amon Amarth as the opener.
The run will kick off Aug. 2 in Concord, Calif. and wrap up Sept. 11 in Los Angeles at the renowned Kia Forum. Amon Amarth will join Ghost throughout the entirety of the tour, except for the Los Angeles show. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 17 at 10AM local time.
Earlier this year, Ghost leader Tobias Forge teased that "good change" would be coming to the band prior to embarking on any of their 2023 tours.
“We’re going to come out with a little bit of change before that – good change," the vocalist told Metal Hammer . "We’re not going to go silent. Some things are public, other things not in public view, but there are a lot of things brewing.”
While it's unclear what Forge was alluding to, Ghost have undergone quite a bit of change as it is over the last several months, especially when their 2019 song "Mary on a Cross" went viral on TikTok , which exposed the band to a whole new fanbase.
As per Setlist.fm , Ghost's most recent concert took place in September. They have a European tour scheduled throughout May and June before returning to the U.S. in August. Check out tickets for the European shows here .

Ghost Will Haunt U.S. Amphitheaters on a Summer Tour

Papa Emeritus IV is coming to an amphitheater near you. Ghost , the Swedish hard-rock band led by the man of a thousand faces, Tobias Forge, has announced a U.S. summer tour .
Titled the Re-Imperatour U.S.A. 2023, the trek begins August 2nd in Concord, California, and plays 27 dates, wrapping up September 11th in Los Angeles. Along the way, the tour hits cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, Tampa, Austin, and Phoenix. Fellow Swedish metalheads Amon Amarth open all dates except the L.A. closer.
Ghost released their latest album, Impera , last year, a record that rails against bloated nations, empty leaders, and the glorification of stupidity. “We now have mechanisms within our own Western empire who are actively trying to, and to some degree have, created this time machine where we’re regressing,” Forge told Rolling Stone . “We’re flattening the earth. We’re submitting to stupidity, which is fucking unbelievable.”

Earlier this month, Ghost staged a pop-up exhibit at the Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset Strip in L.A. that featured memorabilia, from stage costumes to a “corpse,” from their supposed Sixties incarnation. They also released a new version of the Impera track “Spillways” featuring Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott.

Ghost has revealed details of its upcoming RE-IMPERATOUR U.S.A. 2023 summer tour with special guest Amon Amarth. Produced by Live Nation and FPC Live, the 27-date tour kicks off on Wednesday, August 2nd in Concord, CA at Concord Pavilion, with stops in Salt Lake City, Chicago, Cincinnati, Austin and more before wrapping up with the band’s Monday, September 11th return to the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
Ghost continues to elevate and reaffirm its status as one of the world’s most esteemed and celebrated creative forces. Accumulating well over a billion streams, the GRAMMY-winning Swedish theatrical rock band continues to bring the “euphoric spectacle” (ROLLING STONE) of its live shows to ever-growing and increasingly impassioned crowds, headlining arena tours including sold out shows from The Forum in Los Angeles and Barclays Center in New York to London’s O2 Arena and Stockholm’s Avicii Arena. In March 2022, THE LOS ANGELES TIMES reported in a Calendar cover story that Ghost had “conquered metal and the charts” when its fifth album IMPERA debuted at #1 in a sweep of the U.S. album charts, entering the BILLBOARD 200 at #2 and bowing at #1 in the band’s native Sweden as well as Germany and Finland, while cracking the top 5 in the UK (#2), Netherlands (#2), Belgium (#2), Canada (#3), Australia (#3), France (#5), Ireland (#5), and more. Produced by Klas Åhlund and mixed by Andy Wallace — and featuring “Spillways”—hailed as a “sweetly constructed rock tune” by THE NEW YORK TIMES, the GRAMMY-nominated “Call Me Little Sunshine,” and Active Rock #1 radio single “Hunter’s Moon” — IMPERA finds Ghost transported centuries forward from the Black Plague era of its previous album, 2018 Best Rock Album GRAMMY nominee Prequelle —or as ROLLING STONE put it, “Ghost predicted the pandemic, Now the metal band is foretelling the fall of empires.” The result is the most ambitious and lyrically incisive entry in the Ghost canon: Over the course of IMPERA’ s 12-song cycle, empires rise and fall, would-be messiahs ply their hype (financial and spiritual alike), prophecies are foretold as the skies fill with celestial bodies divine and man-made… All in all, the most current and topical Ghost subject matter to date is set against a hypnotic and darkly colorful melodic backdrop making IMPERA a listen like no other — yet unmistakably, quintessentially Ghost.

Ghost has announced details of its summer 2023 American tour, dubbed “Re-Imperatour USA.”
The band is set to kick off the new run of dates in Concord, CA, on August 2, touring across the country until September 11, when it will wrap things up with a huge show at LA’s Kia Forum. It will be joined on the dates by special guest Amon Amarth.
Tickets for the 27-date tour will be available through Citi cardmembers’ and artists’ pre-sales from tomorrow (February 14). Following that, tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday (17) at 10am local time. For more details and to purchase, visit Ticketmaster .
‘(Can’t Live Without Your) Love & Affection’: Nelson’s Smash Hit
The “Re-Imperatour USA” tour news follows Ghost holding its first-ever pop-up event at LA’s Whisky A Go Go venue earlier this month. “Metal Myths Presents: Ghost – Reverence & Resurrection” paid tribute to the classic 1969 era of Ghost, a band that didn’t actually form until almost four decades later.
The exhibit featured artifacts that had never been publicly displayed before, including the band’s 1960 costumes and ghoul masks, rare magazine covers, and more from a treasure trove of ephemera.
Meanwhile, Ghost also recently shared a new version of its track “Spillways,” featuring guest vocals from Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott. The new take on the song featured in Chapter 15 of Ghost’s long-running series of webisodes, with the installment in question documenting a karaoke session that goes awry in a spectacular and supernatural fashion.

In March 2022, The Los Angeles Times reported in a Calendar cover story that GHOST had “conquered metal and the charts” when its fifth album “Impera” debuted at #1 in a sweep of the U.S. album charts, entering the Billboard 200 at #2 and bowing at #1 in the band’s native Sweden as well as Germany and Finland, while cracking the top 5 in the UK (#2), Netherlands (#2), Belgium (#2), Canada (#3), Australia (#3), France (#5), Ireland (#5), and more.
Produced by Klas Åhlund and mixed by Andy Wallace — and featuring “Spillways” —hailed as a “sweetly constructed rock tune” by The New York Times , the GRAMMY-nominated “Call Me Little Sunshine,” and Active Rock #1 radio single “Hunter’s Moon” – “Impera” finds GHOST transported centuries forward from the Black Plague era of its previous album, 2018 Best Rock Album GRAMMY nominee “ Prequelle” – or as Rolling Stone put it, “Ghost predicted the pandemic, Now the metal band is foretelling the fall of empires.” The result is the most ambitious and lyrically incisive entry in the GHOST canon: Over the course of “Impera” ’ s 12-song cycle, empires rise and fall, would-be messiahs ply their hype (financial and spiritual alike), prophecies are foretold as the skies fill with celestial bodies divine and man-made… All in all, the most current and topical GHOST subject matter to date is set against a hypnotic and darkly colorful melodic backdrop making “Impera” a listen like no other — yet unmistakably, quintessentially GHOST .

Ghost are, regardless of whether you're particularly into corpse painted, Satanic-inspired heavy metal, one band that you should not miss live. Their concerts are not simply events to watch but experiential, jaw-dropping journeys to embark upon, and here's why: The Swedish sextet, clad in black hooded gowns and pointed beard-masks (yes, this is a thing) are led by their singer, known as Papa Emeritus, who dons full skull make-up and the robes and hat of a Roman Catholic pope (aside from the upside-down crosses adorning them). As well as their appearances, the band add to the intoxicating atmosphere of their shows with a backdrop of faux stained glass windows, and burn incense to give the audience the impression of being in a church, about to undergo something more than simply watching a group of men play musical instruments on a stage. They achieve this by including the audience in their twisted act, for example during the song Body and Blood, scantily-clad women appeared at the front of the stage offering the 'Eucharist' of a goblet of blood (aka wine) to the lucky fans in the front row.
I saw Ghost at the Fillmore Silver Spring, shorty after the release of their highly anticipated second album, Infestissumam, and was, frankly, blown away by the quality of their live show. Their appearances and Satan-worshipping act are contrasted by the liveliness of their music, which while categorized as heavy or black metal, is definitely more riff and vocal-driven than most metal, with songs such as the single Monstrance Clock and even an amped-up cover of the Beatles' Here Comes The Sun as part of their catchy, dancable set.
Even if you are the biggest metal-phobe around, you should go see Ghost. If heavy metal is your jam, but you're really not into the whole make-up/ crazy outfit thing, you should go see Ghost. If you're a fan or the music but are undecided on paying for a ticket, you should most definitely go see Ghost. The entire experience is something intoxicatingly unforgettable, and you will not regret it!

The wife and I got into the game a bit late but Ghost is as much a part of our yearly plans as is eating, sleeping, and hydrating. We were fortunate to have caught their last two rituals in Sweden last year and were able to capture video of Papa III being pulled off stage during Monstrance Clock. We were so happy that we made the trip from the states because seeing the end of Papa III in videos is nothing compared to the excitement of seeing it in person, from the barrier, and right up front. This band is very exciting to watch and being able to share the experience with my wife has made our evenings with Ghost that much better. My wife met Papa III last year and we've had the opportunity to meet Cardinal Copia 3 times this year during the meet and greets in New York and Pittsburgh. We're looking forward to meeting him again 4 more times out of the 6 rituals we'll be attending in December. We also already have our tickets and vacation planned for the 2 upcoming rituals taking place in Sweden in February 2019. When they make their way back to the states in 2019, we will begin planning our schedules around their tour dates. Here's a short back story as to why they are so important to me. My wife and I were just a couple of months away from signing the official court documents stating we were divorced. While trying to keep things amicable we would meet to discuss things and we'd often listen to Ghost. By the time they would be coming Philadelphia that year, we would have been attending as two single individuals and no longer married. We'd have fun listening to them and as that common ground grew stronger, so did we and slowly began reconciling. By the time they did come to Philadelphia that year, we attended as a happily married couple and continue to do so today. Getting my wife back, I can honestly say, is all thanks to Ghost and I couldn't be more grateful to them or happier sharing the experience with anyone else except for Kelly.
The concert at Liseberg amusement Park was amazing. They opened doors at 11:00 am and there was already like 30 people waiting for the concert impatiently. Security guards and workers of the Amusement Park were very nice and help people when there was an incident outside the park.
The concert started at 8:00 pm without any problem, the crowd went crazy when they went on stage. The setlist was the following:
- Square Hammer
- From the Pinnacle to the Pit
- Elizabeth
- Con clavi con Dio
- Per aspera ad Inferi
- Body and Blood
- Devil Church
- Year Zero
- Spokosonat
- Absolution
- Deus in Absentia
- Monstrance Clock.
At the end of the last show was when 2 bodyguards came on stage and dragged Papa Emeritus III from stage and Papa Emeritus Zero came in, anouncing that the party was over and a new era was about to start.
I only got into Ghost recently and caught their show last night in Toronto.
I decided to get some cheap tickets because I liked the music and thought they'd be fun to see live.
They by far exceeded anything I was expecting. The creepy church vibe, use of incense(which I have never encountered before, very nice touch!), Papa engaging the audience at every opportunity and even took a few minutes just to chit chat and kept us roaring and laughing for more. The use of costumes and masks was amazing.
Being an introvert I don't really go out much, and when I do I just kind of sit there and enjoy the music and the show. This is the first band that's made me get up from my chair and actually get into the show. Next time they come to the area, I'm definitely saving up and treating myself to WAY better seating!
Oh my Ghost, this is the live ritual gig experience your soul is crying out for. Full disclaimer: I love Ghost to bits and have been preaching my dark passion for years. Seeing them live again - this time in a bigger arena off the back of a couple more hit albums - reaffirms the faith.
Go and see Ghost and you will get a diverse setlist drawn from the band's spectacular back catalogue. You will get theatrics and pyrotechnics. You will get both humour and deep emotion, dark anthems and sublime instrumentals and an uplifting sense that you a witnessing something novel and special.
Ghost are - musically, aesthetically, spiritually - something to cherish and the live experience is one that is fun, compelling, cathartic and oh-so-damn-rock-n-roll. Go worship and have the time of your (after)life.
I can see Ghost every night and never get bored. It's not just the band and music, Tobias has created characters, including his own, for this band that are incredibly humble and patient with their fans. While the material can be considered risque, you will see children younger than 10 years old attending that are not only having the time of their lives, but participating in the meet and greets with their parents. Everything about these shows from the music, to the costumes, the characters, and the theatrics is so very much entertaining. We know as fans that there is so much more to look forward to with the future of Ghost and we'll have the opportunity to enjoy them for many more years. It is very exciting when tomorrow becomes today and you're standing in front eagerly awaiting Ashes to start.
If you have Ghost, you have everything.
Theatre; spectacle; a sense of cult worship; dark humour; thick fugs of incense; electric, otherwordly energy; lighting and atmospherics; collective frenzy; and most of all, the sweet music of the night.
Ghost are beautiful for so many reasons. Beneath their sublime subversive style - iconoclastic and gleefully irreverent - is a musical powerhouse making the most compelling and catchy rock in this epoch. The craftsmanship is incredible. The mystique is immense. It's a joy to behold in the flesh (and blood) and if you have the opportunity to absorb the spirit of Ghost in person, surrender to it.
Honestly, Ghost was one of the greatest entertainment experiences I've had. Join them in their ritual and hail your Master...
This was the best show I have ever been to (I have seen a lot too). Ghost put on an electric performance with great theatrics as well as fun conversational bits while the musicians took a couple minutes to get water, wipe the sweat off from under those masks, etc. We were also delighted by the pyrotechnics, fog machines, and surprise mummy dust confetti! Well executed and the band sounded amazing live. I wish I had gotten tickets for the following night too! I will definitely be seeing them when they come back into town. Ghost really knows how to stimulate all their fans' senses. Many thanks to the band for their commitment to their fans and the melodic tunes they share with us. Keep them coming please!!!
The Ghost show was truly amazing. For me, this was mainly due to two things:
1. Each and every member of this band knows his instrument very well, and they play their songs flawlessly and with ease. Leaving them energy to interact with the crowd while still not missing a note/beat.
2. Their concept is so well thought through. From the incense and small unveiling ritual before their set starts to the sisters of sin and perfected visual in set, movements and costumes, everything works brilliantly. And with Papa giving some background info to songs and rituals, you really get the feeling you are part of a well-oiled ritual.
I am very glad I've been to the show, and can't wait to see this band again :)
Awesome band! I had a older friend come with last night to the Stockholm show and even thou she said "It's not exactly my favourite but it was a terrific show, tunes to sing along to and this isn't the last time we do this!" with a huge smile on her face. This was my second Ritual, i love the costume changes, you really feel like your seeing a theatrical show instead of a regular concert, I'm use to sitting up front but this time sat in the balcony to see a spectacular light show and pyrotechnics, we sat in the upper balcony and could feel the heat from the pyro effects.I only wish i could have been yp front closer to Cardinal Copia,to get his blessings. Will not be the last time i go to see Ghost!

Ghost Kick Off Summer US Tour with Amon Amarth: Photos + Setlists
The "Re-Imperatour" launched Wednesday night in Concord, California
Ghost have hit the road for a summer US tour , bringing fellow Swedes Amon Amarth along for the ride. The “Re-Imperator” officially kicked off with a packed show Wednesday night (August 2nd) at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, California.
Supporting their latest release, The Great Heathen Army , Amon Amarth got the ball rolling with a nine-song setlist that had the metalheads in the already full venue singing along. The band kicked off the set with “Raven’s Flight,” complete with a viking helmet drum riser, and two massive swordsman statues on either side of the stage. “Put Your Back into the Oar” was easily the crowd favorite of the set, as made obvious by the fans rowing along to the song. By the time the band wrapped up their brief set with “Twilight of the Thunder Guard,” the entire venue was primed for the headliners.
With “Imperium” blasting over the PA as the curtain dropped, Ghost hit the stage with “Kaisarion” from their latest album, IMPERA . Led by the one and only Papa Emeritus IV (aka Tobias Forge), the band tore through a 19-song setlist. Backed by his Nameless Ghouls, Papa provided showmanship throughout the set, and early highlights included “Rats” and “From the Pinnacle to the Pit.” From there, the band played “Absolution,” followed by “Ritual” and “Call Me Little Sunshine.”
Although the stained glass cathedral backdrop for the band’s set remained constant, Papa Emeritus did go through a number of costume changes. After closing their main set with “Respite on the Spitalfields,” Ghost returned to the stage for a three-song encore, wrapping-up the evening with the anthemic “Square Hammer.”

Ghost Brings US Tour to Emphatic End in LA: Pictures, Set List
Ghost closed out their Re-Imperator tour with a rousing performance at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles last night (Sept. 12).
The concert was the second of two back-to-back sold out LA shows for the Swedish heavy metal giants.
The first song of the night was "Kaisarion," the epic track from Ghost’s 2022 album Impera . Other early highlights included a soaring rendition of “Spillways” and the menacing "Cirice.”
Later, singer Tobias Forge – who was a commanding presence all night as his alter-ego, Cardinal Copia – appeared at a grand piano to perform a haunting rendition of Roky Erickson ’s "If You Have Ghosts."

As to be expected, “Mary on a Cross,” the hugely successful 2019 track that unexpectedly went viral on Tik Tok, garnered some of the night’s loudest cheers.

Ghost's Show Boasted Incredible Visuals
As fans of Ghost know, the music is just one element of the band's appeal. Stage design, pyrotechnics, theatrics and outfit changes are all part of what makes Ghost such an enthralling live act, and each of these ingredients were on full display during the tour-end show.
On the night, Forge made no less than eight costume changes, including several colorful and dazzling displays. Meanwhile, massive stained glass windows hung behind the stage, exuding an imposing, gothic quality.
At various points in the concert, a troupe of skeleton dancers writhed provocatively around Forge. There was also plenty of pyro, with flamethrowers, fireworks and explosions throughout the set.
See some of the impressive visuals from Ghost’s performance in our gallery below.

HELLOWEEN signs contract with Reigning Phoenix Music - new studio album announced
Hamburg (Germany), Los Angeles (California), February 2024 - Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM) announces the signing of legendary power metal institution HELLOWEEN for their upcoming studio album! Since their formation in 1984 and the spectacular reunion in 2017, HELLOWEEN is undoubtedly one of the world's outstanding representatives of the genre.
RPM proudly comments on the signing: "It is a true milestone for Reigning Phoenix Music to welcome HELLOWEEN to our family of artists. HELLOWEEN is not just a band, they epitomize the energy and passion of power metal. Their music has inspired generations, and we are proud to collaborate in order to reach new heights."
HELLOWEEN themselves are equally enthusiastic about the new partnership: "Sven Bogner and his team have convinced us with their ideas and enthusiasm. They live and love metal, and this is what connects us - we look forward to be working with them!" explains Andi Deris from HELLOWEEN.
The combination of HELLOWEEN and Reigning Phoenix Music promises a powerful synergy between one of the world's most influential power metal bands and a label that is passionate about promoting up-and-coming talents as well as established artists. Fans can look forward to thrilling musical experiences and innovative projects.
Specifically, HELLOWEEN will start working on new material from the summer and are planning to release a new studio album in 2025.

The world tour everyone longed-for since over two years took us to 26 countries on 3 continents. After several pandemic related postponements the UNITED FORCES TOUR finally ignited in England May 2022 and brought together more than 800.000 fans, catapulting you into an euphoric orbit for a year and a half!
Sold out headline shows in Los Angeles, New York and Sao Paulo, legendary highlights like the show at the Prague O2-Arena, the Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart, or in front of 14.000 metalheads in Santiago de Chile and our first ever sold out concert at the iconic Budokan in Tokyo – the Holy Grail and the ultimate accolade for every rock band!
Without a doubt there were tears in our eyes at the bombastic Hell & Heaven Festival in Mexico City, which closed the tour.
Waving the UNITED FORCES flag, we opened a new live chapter after more than 35 years of band history: all seven of us rocked the stages, side by side with colleagues like Kiss, Scorpions or Deep Purple and, for the second time we headlined the Wacken Open Air!
We want to send our thanks to all of you, our loyal fans in Europe, the United States, Canada, Central & South America and Asia. We are incredibly grateful that you kept your tickets even with all the ongoing postponements and, that you stayed true fans, waiting patiently to finally see us live.
As well, we would like to thank our friends in HAMMERFALL for accompanying us the majority of the dates and spicing up the tour with their pure Swedish metal, ensuring a sweaty, energetic and bombastic package.
Andi: „What a ride! This world tour was something special for all of us – to get together with all our fans after the long waiting – a feeling we all missed so much! We enjoyed all the shows: our fans were superb and gave us only strikingly happy moments that led to an even stronger cohesion of the band! Personally, I can’t even imagine doing this without Michi and Kai anymore! And now we are looking very much forward to our next studio album with the crazy Pumpgang we´ve got!
Markus: "Hi Helloween folks all over the globe: you were the ones who welcomed us with open arms and hearts all over the world and you turned our world tour into an unique, euphoric party! We love you all and we are very much looking forward to continue this party with you, our Helloween family in 2024 – right after we are done with the new record.
Sascha: "Wow, what an incredible tour once again! I've met so many wonderful people, and the atmosphere during our concerts has been filled with love and energy. Each tour gives me a steady growing and fulfilling experience! Much love to all the fans out there, our hard working crew, dedicated management, and my talented bandmates!"
After 60 extremely emotional shows, we are now going directly into the songwriting process and follow up production for the successor of HELLOWEEN - it will be the second release of a new era, the new time calculation for us!
"BEST TIME": NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO OUT NOW!
HELLOWEEN would like to celebrate again with their fans – with "BEST TIME", THE party song of their 2021 album "HELLOWEEN".
The sunny and straight hymn by Sascha Gerstner and Andi Deris revives the good times and shows with their drifty guitars and top form front men a song full of the joys. About the songwriting of "BEST TIME" Sascha Gerstner states: "I had an '80’s Neo Noir-Vibe' in my head. The riff was originally a synth-riff, which we arranged later for guitars. The wording 'I will have the best time of my life' was pretty spontaneous because I had this strong feeling to leave the past behind and Seize the day! Andi instantly loved the idea as well as the refrain and together we created the track as it is now!" "BEST TIME" comes with a terrific 80’s retro-artwork by cartoonist and HELLOWEEN fan Marcos Moura in a 2,000 pieces limited edition of a 12-inch vinyl, available in three colors as well as a bundle: vinyl single and t-shirt. "OUT FOR THE GLORY“
MUSIC VIDEO RELEASED!
No reason to sit back: with the clip for “OUT FOR THE GLORY“ the next exciting coup is coming as the successful year is ending. "I had an idea for a video where all band members are depicted as dinky, odd noble courtiers and ministers" Michael Weikath explains. „All of us should be floating in the clouds, Deris as a nutty emperor…and after a while more and more details came up and at one point in time we wrote everything down and sent the video concept to the Australian animation team“. Aaron McLoughlin, Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, who has already been involved in several projects with Atomic Fire Records CEO Florian Milz (e.g. for Children Of Bodom, Alestorm, Tankard) mentioned: „When I heard that HELLOWEEN is interested in a collaboration I was totally gobsmacked. The boys are my absolute heroes since I was a teenager and I was sure that my students would love to work on a song by this band.“
And typically HELLOWEEN - the creativity was so outrageous that it was impossible to feature everything in one music video. „Seven and a half minutes might not sound like a lot but in animation terms it is a marathon. We had so much great stuff that the production of “OUT FOR THE GLORY“ was a real challenge. Weiki wanted the video to look as cute as possible and we immediately knew: A legendary band from the other side of the planet wants us to create a medieval epic full of cuteness? You bet!" McLoughlin recollects.
With a bit over 10.000 frames the iconic animation short movie is not only extremely elaborate, but also wicked and spacy, will cause a commotion and hopefully also a lot of fun and enjoyment. As Michael Weikath wishes with a twinkle in his eye: „I now expect that everyone will enjoy this and think it is funny and also that they see the signification!"
The animated music video “OUT FOR THE GLORY“ is celebrating its world premiere on December, 17th 2021 and was implemented by the students of Bachelor of Design (Animation & Interactive Media), RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia .

“FEAR OF THE FALLEN“
Digital single & lyric video release.
HELLOWEEN are back! Their second single "Fear Of The Fallen" is a fast paced, melodic track done the way only lead singer Andi Deris can do it. Taken from the upcoming and self-titled new album "Helloween", released June 18th, 2021 and produced by Charlie Bauerfeind, the song features Deris along with his band mates Michael Kiske, Michael Weikath, Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf, Sascha Gerstner and Dani Löble in their prime.
SKYFALL OUT NOW + VIDEO PREMIERE
THE SINGLE HAS LANDED! "Skyfall", the first track from Helloween’s upcoming and self-titled album is now available for streaming and in various CD and vinyl formats! Go check it out! We’re so excited to hear your reactions!
Written by Kai Hansen, "Skyfall" is a storming more-than-7-minute ride into the Helloween universe (and beyond!) The epic track describes an alien landing on earth and a dramatic chase while Michael Kiske, Andi Deris and Kai Hansen duel each other in a breathtaking manner and create a vocal broadband adventure. Produced by Martin Häusler, it is the most elaborate video clip in the history of the band.

In a new interview with Matt Bingham of the Z93 radio station, GODSMACK frontman Sully Erna spoke about having the band's schedule wide open after previously announcing that GODSMACK 's latest album, "Lighting Up The Sky" , would likely be the group's last. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET ): "Well, yeah, it's a little bit of the unknown. But it's kind of exciting, too, to not have a game plan right away. For sure, we have a small run we're doing in July of some festival dates and then we have a September-October run that we're gonna do. And then we're kind of close to the holidays at that point, so we'll probably take a little time [off]. But then I really don't know what's gonna happen. I don't know which way this is gonna go. I don't know where we're gonna tour next and what the game plan is. I'm sure we'll start figuring it out in the next couple of months, 'cause we need time to promote it, as you know, whatever we're gonna do next year. I know we have to do some international touring. We did do all States pretty much, and Canada, this year. So we have Mexico, we have Australia, we have Japan, we have Europe, we have places to get to, and we're gonna have to spend some time next year doing that as well."
GODSMACK 's ongoing "Vibez Tour" sees Erna and his bandmates deliver a series of intimate evenings featuring acoustic/electric performances and untold stories in theatres across North America. The second leg of the tour kicked off April 9 in Valley Center, California.
When GODSMACK last embarked on "An Evening With" tour 20 years ago, the stripped down acoustic-based performance was aimed at showing the group in a different light and offering it the opportunity to play its music with different arrangements. The show featured the GODSMACK members performing while seated on stools, a la "MTV Unplugged" , and included some creative staging and lighting, dim candles and a few spooky props, Times Leader reported at the time.
"Lighting Up The Sky" was released in February 2023 via BMG . The LP was co-produced by Erna and Andrew "Mudrock" Murdock ( AVENGED SEVENFOLD , ALICE COOPER ).
The first single from "Lighting Up The Sky" , "Surrender" , which arrived in September 2022, marked the first release from GODSMACK in four years, following their globally acclaimed and gold-certified 2018 album "When Legends Rise" , which earned the Erna -fronted outfit a No. 1 spot across U.S. Hard Rock, Rock, and Alternative album charts.

Western Sydney singer grentperez on family karaoke, ghost stories and his new single with Lime Cordiale
There was an elephant in the room at all Grant Perez's family gatherings growing up.
"It's always lingering. Even if no one touches it, no one talks about it — if someone picks it up, you know it's going down."
He's talking, of course, about karaoke.
The 21-year-old, better known as grentperez , subscribes to the hypothesis that "80 per cent of Filipino families" have their own karaoke machine at home, with his family's karaoke nights featuring lots of encouragement, a few singalongs and definitely "some belt-y moments".
And the practise has paid off for the Western Sydney singer-songwriter.
After starting out on YouTube , by the end of this year he'll have toured the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, opened for Rex Orange County, and placed in a Hottest 100 . He's even managed to release an album full of dreamy love songs about his high-school sweetheart, Christina.
To mark the release of Op Shop Lover , his new single with Lime Cordiale, we sat down with Grant for a bit of a chit chat.
Welcome to Chit Chat, where we ask your favourite celebs and internet-famous creatives a bunch of the same silly questions for fun, and a handful of prying ones to reveal who they are beyond their curated online presence.
What would your drag name be?
When I'm not Grant or Grent, I'm groin. So maybe Groin Perez?
The vibes would be very green and earthy tones. And I'd be super flamboyant, very very free with my dancing.
What's your hangover or sick day movie?
My comfort movie would probably be Cars.
It's everything. You've got the friendships — this dude came into town not knowing anything, and he learned the culture. There's a full character arc, where he went from this hotshot dude to this very humble fellow.
And you know, I love cars. So the movie just naturally makes sense.
And one of the songs that plays — Our Town — is so, so beautiful. I don't cry watching it normally, but I probably would if I watched it on a plane. For some reason, I get super emotional on a plane.
I cried watching La La Land on the way back from America, but at the dumbest scene. It was in the intro scene, where everybody's dancing in traffic. I was like: "They're having so much fun!"
What's the last photo you took?
I hope it wasn't like my butt or something. For the fellas.
Oh, it was me and my girlfriend having Kickin'Inn for lunch, up in Penrith. It's like a boil thing where they have seafood and they just dump it onto the table, and you have gloves.
What does being in love feel like to you?
I'm all for it with love. I love the lovey-dovey stuff. I love the arguments. I think it just feels good.
Everything feels, for the most part, figured out.
You can have an argument with this person, but you know that argument is just because you want the best out of each other.
I also think pranks should be a love language. It should be quality time, physical touch and pranking someone out of love.
I always try to scare my girlfriend. In the shops, when we're walking and she slightly turns away from me, I run off and look for somewhere to hide.
I think she's starting to get annoyed with me. Sometimes she tries to look for me, sometimes she's like, "Screw it. He'll come back."
I think my energy is like a little dog.
What's the most romantic place in your area?
Rooty Hill Hill. That's a great spot. Very picturesque. On the walk up, all you see is hill and sky. Then you get to the top and you have this view.
Because especially Sydney skies and Australian skies, they're always nuts. So the sunset is great.
The album art for [my album] When We Were Younger is that hill.
Do you believe in ghosts?
Hell yeah, I definitely believe in ghosts.
My dreams are sometimes super messed up. Like, I had this nap last year, and as soon as I went to sleep I felt someone push into my head.
It was like [they were] pushing my head into the pillow, giving me paralysis. But I could open my eyes a bit and see my room.
I could hear someone whispering from the inside of my pillow and it just kept getting louder and louder, getting further into my head.
Eventually I forced myself to wake up, and there was this very distinct smell of roses in my room.
I'm religious, I was born Catholic — and, apparently, the smell of roses after something like that is the presence of Mary.
So maybe the home girl saved me! Maybe [Mary] was like: "Wake up! Give me a snack." Could be something there.
What was your worst hair phase?
Probably during year 8 to year 11, when I thought a comb-over would look good.
It didn't conform to the shape of my head at all. There wasn't even a fade, it was just a one all around and a comb-over at the top.
My hair now is pretty wild. After year 11 I just went, "screw this. I'm cutting it myself."
[My] mullet came purely out of ease. It's so easy to cut this [at the front], but it's hard to cut the back.
What was #1 on your Spotify wrapped last year?
I think it was Toro y Moi. His recent album Mahal came out, and I had no skips throughout that album. It was my anthem for last year.
And during that time I was really analysing my music, so I was probably up there, too.
For my actual number one, it was probably Here Comes the Sun, because that's my alarm every morning.
Can you handle silence in a lift?
Hell yeah! I think I'm a very good mix of introverted and extroverted.
I'm introverted in the fact that I do love being by myself, sitting in silence. And I'm extroverted around the right people.
I think in the past two years, I've made the conscious decision to not give out my energy to everybody, [but to save it for] people that I really enjoy being with.
