Kevdi Eco Tourism Camp Site is situated by a dam in the middle of the forest in Mandvi near Surat . You'll travel through small villages hidden in dense forests to get there. The area is mainly dry deciduous forests, so it's lush green in monsoons and winter and dry brown in summer. The landscape features a dam reservoir that draws in different wetland birds, while the land is covered in trees and hills. This habitat is home to various birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles, and mammals.

Kevdi Eco Tourism Site offers comfortable jungle accommodations without a network. It is a NO NETWORK zone. So that you can enjoy nature without any distractions. About the location: About the location: Kevdi is a well-stocked forest ecotourism site situated on the route connecting Jambughoda Sanctuary and Ratanmahal Sanctuary. It has a wonderful location as it is situated at the bank of a river. It comes under the Chhota Udepur forest division. It is loacted 14 kms away from the Kanjeta Eco Campsite.

The site is rich in biodiversity. Sloth bear, panther, hyena, giant flying squirrel are often sighted at the site. The nearby tribal communities depend heavily on forests and forestry activities. It is developed as an eco-tourism site due to the feel that it provides of rich forests and biodiversity. The main attraction of the campsite is the flying squirrel which can be spotted in the evening and the sloth bears.

Jetpur Kevdi Eco Tourism Campsite, Mandvi, Surat

Jetpur Kevdi is a eco tourism campsite situated near Mandvi, Surat. Normally I don’t start any post with clarification but Kevdi campsite needs it.

There are two campsites in Gujarat: Having same name as Kevdi. 

That’s the confusion. You’ll search on Google, “Kevdi Campsite” and find a link of Gujarat Tourism on top. That’s Kevdi located in Vadodara district on GJ SH 62! Not in Surat.

Thus, make sure you’re looking at this:  Kevdi Eco Tourism Site, Kevdi, Gujarat  on Google Maps, otherwise you’d reach to Vadodara in search of Kevdi!

Personally, I haven’t been to this place.

I had prepared two lists:

• List of Hill Stations in Gujarat
• List of Waterfalls in Gujarat

Many people found them very useful. Then, I started preparing a list of campsites in Gujarat . At that time, I remembered Kevdi, Madvi as Tanmay Naik  suggested me the campsite once. All photos are by Tanmay.

Another source of information is, Map Less Journey blog by Nitin Kanani. Contact details and accommodation details have been sourced from his blog. It’s an awesome blog about travel to unknown places.

How to Reach Kevdi Campsite

Kevdi is 20 km from Mandvi.

After reaching Mandvi, take Mandvi Zankvav road. At Fedariya Cross Roads, take right, continue for 8 km. At Dadhwada, take right to reach campsite.

Or you can simply follow Google Maps. 🙂

Best Time to Visit

Kevdi campsite is open all days a week. No prior permission needed to visit, however for AC type of accommodation, prior booking is must.

Best time, list most other campsites, is post-monsoon and winter.

Put this contact pic on website..we had gone kevdi.. But everything was prebooked by govt. From gandhinagar so we could not stay there for nightout. The service provided is ridiculous. I live in surat and the guy asked to travel 80km to pay 100/- advance. There’s no online mode of payment so it’s like travel this long a day before the journey to pay advance…

Hi darpan First of all , thank you very much for this blog post it helped us a lot while our trip to this camp site , it was quite good experience visiting this campsite . We had some issues finding this place because there was no information about this on google map and your blog post also includes map of campsite near vadodara, but your driving directions are correct so we managed to find it .

Here are some things to consider before visiting this campsite : 1. It is simply amazing for nature lovers 2. If you are visiting in rainy season , do consider using SUV , because roads near campsite around 6 km are not tarmac or concrete , they are made for carts and tractors 3. In rainy season exploration you do in jungle is limited due to mud , plants and bugs . so if you are going for just enjoy the atmosphere there , its ok 4. Take basic medicines and bug repellents for rainy season , you don’t find any medical shop nearby 5. Food and chef is great and very cooperative , he will make anything you want , if he has raw materials . If you want non-veg food you need to bring your own raw meat . then he will cook it (only on non rush days) 6. Pricing has changed and they charged us following : -Small tent which was 200rs : OUT OF ORDER (maybe due to rain, and they usually give this to big groups ) -Medium tent : 700rs per tent -Dome with A/C was 1000rs : 1500rs per dome -Room with A/C was 1500rs : Same price -Tree House A/C was 2000rs : Same price -Extra bed shit : 200rs
