All boarding is located at the Lower Landing in the Great Gorge. The entrance is located at the Niagara City Cruises Ticket Plaza at 5920 Niagara Parkway in Niagara Falls, Canada .

Niagara City Cruises does not have a dedicated parking lot, however, there are plenty of parking lots nearby. In addition, all major public parking, hotels and attractions are conveniently connected to the Niagara City Cruises Ticket Plaza by the WEGO Transit system. Niagara City Cruises guests should allow time to park and arrive on time for their scheduled tour departure.

Niagara City Cruises catamarans, Niagara Wonder and Niagara Thunder, feature on-board amenities including tiered decks for 360-degree unobstructed viewing, dry viewing areas, on-board passenger washrooms and audio commentary during the tour.  All boats are ODA compliant for accessibility.

Niagara City Cruises is Niagara Falls’ only boat tour that takes you right up to the mighty plummeting waterfalls. Complimentary ponchos are available for guests to keep dry on board, as the boat travels right into the mist so you’re bound to get a little wet. The Voyage to the Falls tour takes approximately 20 minutes and features an audio commentary sharing fun facts about the natural wonder. The Niagara City Cruises tour actually begins on land at the Niagara Funicular. Originally opened in 1984 under the name Clifton Incline Railway, the funicular had been non-operational for almost 30 years until Niagara City Cruises brought it back to life in 2019. The new, stat- of-the-art funicular was reconstructed and installed along the Great Gorge wall. Visitors access the boarding area via the funicular which drops 56 metres (19 stories) along the rock wall of the Niagara Gorge, offering spectacular views of the falls.

Located in the boarding and disembarking area, Riverside Patio is a full service, seasonal restaurant and patio bar operated by Niagara City Cruises. It’s a great spot to start or end your Niagara City Cruise excursion.

Niagara Falls is made up of three waterfalls, with the Horseshoe Falls located on the Canadian side and the American and Bridal Veil Falls located across the border. Hornblower Niagara City Cruises is the official supplier to Niagara Parks, providing Canada’s only Niagara Falls boat tour experience.

Reservations are not necessary and tickets can be purchased at the attraction ticket window. During a typical season the boat rides below Niagara Falls opens in late April or early May and runs until mid to late October.

All guests are issued a disposable plastic poncho to wear during the tour which will keep you reasonably dry. When the boat gets close to the Canadian Falls is where you will encounter the majority of mist. If you wish to stay dry simply move to another location on the boat where there is less mist. The tour lasts 15-20 minutes. For clothing, summer is for shorts and t-shirts. A pair of beach shoes or sneakers work fine but don’t wear anything you wouldn’t want to get damp. For spring and fall weather you need to dress appropriately for the local weather and just expect to get slightly damp. Usually you will have the ability to get great photos right up until you get close to the base of the Canadian Falls. Remember that even a slight mist on your camera lens will ruin any photo!

The entrance is in Queen Victoria Park less than a minute walk from the base of Clifton Hill. Parking is available at one of three very large parking lots near Queen Victoria Park. The closest parking lot which does require taking stairs to the park is on Clifton Hill and aptly named Clifton Hill Parking . For navigation use:  4960 Clifton Hill Parking , Niagara Falls Ontario Canada.

Skylon Tower parking lot is very close to the Clifton Hill Parking lot and you can either take stairs or the sidewalk on Murray St to get to the park. For navigation use:  Skylon Tower parking lot 5200 Robinson Street Niagara Falls Ontario Canada.

Niagara Parks parking lot use:  Niagara Falls Lot #1 6650 Niagara Pkwy, Niagara Falls Ontario Canada. 

If the Niagara Parks lot is full when you enter they will direct you to one of their satellite lots which then requires using the WEGO shuttle bus service. This lot usually never fills to capacity except during the months of July and August. If you plan on visiting the brink of the Canadian Falls at Table Rock during your visit this is the most convenient parking lot to use.

Over 70% of visitors rate the Holiday Inn as very good to excellent. Location is great as it’s close to the Falls and the Fallsview Casino. There is also a great selection of nearby restaurants at the Hilton Fallsview and the Casino.

It is only a six minute walk to Queen Victoria Park and fifteen minutes to the Boat ride below the Falls ticket window. If you are not interested in all the kitsch of Clifton Hill and want to be closer to the Table Rock House and Journey Behind the Falls this is the place for you!

While the Best Western is not within walking distance of the Falls we think this is a high quality hotel for the price. Reviews are almost always very good with very few complaints.

For those of you who might visit Niagara Falls during the off-season the large swimming pool is very inviting and of course the kids just love it.

Niagara City Cruises Questions & Answers

The best up to date info would be to google Maid of the Mist (operates from the American side) or Hornblower Niagara Cruises (operates from the Canadian side) where the prices should be shown. The Hornblower (and possibly Maid of the Mist may do?) do (did?) offer a cheaper charge on the first trip of the day which might be of interest if you are staying close to their base or can make it early in the morning (circa 9:30-ish from memory)

The Hornblower operation uses twin hulled boats which have a bit more stability and allow slightly closer approach to the Canadian Horsehoe Falls cascades than the older Maid of the Mist boats.

I don't remember the price however if you purchase the city pass which includes journey under the falls, some 4d experience and a hike along the rivers edge,it's discounted plus you get bus fare for upto 3 days..you can go to Niagara information on candian side for better information if you are going during the winter,brrgh good luck, it's cold outside.lol..must be beautiful. Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can also be purchased at our Ticket Plaza located at 5920 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario, L2E 6X8 (look for the large white sails next to the Zipline to the Falls Tower).

What is your refund policy?

Purchases made with Ticket Assurance may be rescheduled or canceled up to 2 hours prior to the original departure time with a full refund, minus the cost of non-refundable Ticket Assurance. Ticket Assurance is not available on select cruises such as holiday, specialty, or partnership cruises, or other experiences as indicated.

How does Timed Ticketing work?

Guests are encouraged to arrive on time, just prior to or within their selected time slot.

What health and safety measures do you have in place.

• Timed Ticketing Entry: To control passenger flow and manage guest capacity, timed ticketing entry is utilized. Note – during the peak season (June – Labour Day) please expect line-ups to access the Lower Landing and to board the boat. As a result, we cannot guarantee that your departure time will take place within the booked time slot.
• Guests are permitted to bring a personal item. Personal items include a small purse or handbag, a small backpack, an infant diaper bag, or a camera bag. Maximum dimensions are 17.8 x 38.1 x 40.6 centimetres (7x15x16 inches).
• Restricted and dangerous articles are strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to; suitcases of any size, carry-on luggage, overnight bags, roller bags, briefcases, coolers, trunks, dangerous articles, and all other items that exceed the maximum dimensions for personal allowances.
• Note that additional personal item allowance and entry restrictions may be imposed at entry without prior notice.
• Outside food and beverage is not permitted.
• All guests riding the boat require a ticket to board.
• Our attraction is a smoke and vape-free environment. This includes tobacco, e-juice, and cannabis.

Niagara City Cruises reserves the right to modify its safety measures at any point without prior notice.

What are Niagara City Cruises hours of operation?

Are your boats wheelchair accessible, do you have washrooms onsite.

There are additional wheelchair-accessible washrooms on land in our Lower Landing area.

Is smoking or vaping allowed on your property?

Are infant strollers permitted on the attraction grounds and the boats.

Prior to boarding, there is a designated unsupervised area available to park strollers at your own discretion.

Infant strollers brought on board are not permitted on the upper observation deck for safety reasons. Strollers cannot be left unattended, and all personal belongings should be supervised accordingly.

Is there a place to store my personal items?

All personal items should never be left unattended during your visit.

At your discretion, infant strollers can be left at the designated unsupervised area prior to boarding.

Can I bring my pet?

Service animals are defined as being visibly apparent that the customer requires the animal for reasons relating to a disability. When our crew members cannot easily identify that an animal is a service animal, they may ask for documentation from a regulated health professional that confirms the guest needs the service animal for reasons relating to their disability.

All other animals and pets are not permitted on Niagara City Cruises property.

Can I bring in outside food and beverage?

While enjoying a spectacular view of the Falls, guests can enjoy a selection of drinks and casual food at our onsite Riverside Patio.

Can I take photos?

Please note that we only allow handheld cameras on site and do not permit any additional equipment with general admission.

Plan Your Visit

When is the best time to visit niagara falls, canada, when are your peak times and hours.

If you are visiting in July and August, especially weekends/holidays, we do suggest coming before 11:00 am or after 6:00 pm for the best visitor experience.

What should I wear?

Light jackets, sweaters, rain jackets, running shoes, and hats are great when travelling to Niagara during the Spring and Fall.

During the summer months, a comfortable pair of walking shoes is highly recommended.  Shorts, t-shirts, hats, sun visors, sunglasses, and light jackets for the evening are also encouraged as temperatures are generally 5-10 degrees cooler by the water.  Don’t forget the sunscreen!

When you arrive at Niagara Parks, you can visit any one of our Niagara Parks attractions or an available Welcome Centre to pick up/redeem your Pass. While getting your Pass ready, one of our attraction/Welcome Centre attendants will work with you to plan an itinerary for your visit by setting up timed tickets for the attractions included in your Pass. Timed ticketing lets you know when you’re able to join the queue for a particular attraction.

You don't have to! When buying online, passes are valid for redemption any time until the end of the validity period. When you arrive at Niagara Parks, one of our attraction staff would be happy to assist with redeeming your Pass. Not sure how long your Pass is valid? Validity dates vary by Pass, to check the validity dates of your order please refer to the Instructions section of your e-ticket. Validity dates for attraction tickets and Passes are also noted for each attraction/Pass in our Online Store.

Whether you want to experience everything in one day or spread your admissions out over your entire visit, it's totally up to you! You can spread out your attractions over any number of days up until the expiry date. Please note the WEGO bus and Falls Incline Railway access is valid for a consecutive two-day period. If required, ask at a Niagara Parks attraction how you can add more days to your WEGO and/or Falls Incline Railway access.

When you buy online, Passes can be picked up/redeemed by presenting your order confirmation on your phone/mobile device at any available Niagara Parks attraction. You can also present a printed copy of your order confirmation if preferred.
