Mgarr Tourist Services
Mgarr tourist services reviews.
We rented a scooter here for 1 day. The costs were €40 per day. We were able to visit the entire island with this. And can stop anywhere. The scooters are certainly not the newest. But drive well Renting the scooter includes a helmet Everything is explained clearly and well. And before you get on the scooter you have to make a video of the scooter. In the evening we were allowed to put the key in a mailbox. And just to be sure, we made a video of the scooter itself. Because we had to when we wanted to go there. It is very close to the ferry And therefore definitely recommended
We contacted the rental company via WhatsApp and received confirmation that we would have a car. When we arrived, everything was closed and there was no contact! Our entire plans to visit Gozo were ruined! I honestly don't recommend it! Zero customer approach! No respect! We were going to spend one day in Gozo doing a tour around the island! We weren't able to do anything because of this rental! Give a wide berth!
We rented e-bikes for a premium price, but unfortunately the condition of the bikes weren't premium at all. Rear brake basically non-existing, shifting no good, noises everywhere. Dangerous. They asked us to pay cash (I can only guess the reason), and let us pay with card only after we insisted.
It's a pity that you can't rent a scooter by the hour, but overall it's great. A nice thing for a one-day trip around the island. Close to the ferry, express service, I recommend
This place was recommended to us by a guy from Extremadura that we met in Malta to rent a motorcycle for joy and the truth is that it was quite good, we didn't have any problems.
BE AWARE OF SCAMMERS! DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO THIS PLACE! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR IDENTITY AND YOU WILL SEE A SERIES OF SMALL CHARGES BEING PLACED ON YOUR CREDIT CARD ALL OVER EUROPE!
The place offers a wide range of services and rentals, for bikes there are "traditional" and electric options. Both come with a helmet and a lock. No rear of front rack in the basic rental included - better carry a backpack. If you have a prior reservation, the rental process goes very smoothly. CASH only payments (as of February 2022), be prepared. I rented a traditional bike and it's technical condition was good, although one notices that e-bikes are more popular (and more expensive, obviously) so the trad bikes maybe are not so well serviced? Not that it was a problem for a 1-day rental, all worked smooth. NOTE: be certain of your fitness level, if you go for a traditional bike. The island has some quite steep hills.
Very friendly, very cheap. Booked a scooter for a day for 40 euro. You return the scooter whenever you want and drop the key in the mailbox. The scooter I rented looked very well maintained.
Communication with them was great, they respond to e-mails very quickly. I was originally going to rent an e-bike but after meeting some friends we decided to rent a car instead. Fortunately they had cars available and was able to book for 45 euros. Returning the vehicle was a breeze as well, there's a box outside for you to drop the keys off after hours. I'd definitely book again.
They sold us a ticket to comino… we called the morning of to confirm, and the lady did confirm we were good to go.then once we got there… boat ride cancelled and money refunded.we had to get a ticket from the other company
Great service, good maintained scooters…we rented twice, 2 years ago and this year and allways a very good comunication and a fast procedure and fair prices. We will definitly rent here again
I rented 2 scooters through Paul over WhatsApp 2 weeks in advance and was very happy with the customer service. Paul and his employees were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend booking through them.
Absolutely fantastic, we rented 2 normal Mountain bikes for 3 days, 10€/bike per day. With helmets and bike lock included (btw Gozo it's super safe). This is the only bike rent shop open on Sunday, i think in all Malta and Gozo. They offered us bike repair service on the go if anything goes wrong (you call, they arrive wherever you are). The bikes are perfect, they have two types a smaller one and a big one (bike specification: ~ Decathlon hardtail, with 3-7 or 2-9 gear ratio.) Mine also had a bike rack. For bail they ask us credit card info.
This was An amazing expirience! Very friendly team and very helpfull. Would recommend this 100%
I booked a bike on WhatsApp - nice and easy. Great customer service (Paul is very helpful). Ebike is a great way to see Gozo. Truly recommend!
I haven’t pre-booked, only went there to rent a quad for 3 hours. It was €55 cash, and don’t care about fuel, you need your Visa or Mastercard to have an insurance, but if you don’t have problem it wont be charged. They exepts only cash btw. The quad ride was very exciting we had a lot of fun!
It was super easy to rent the scooter and the guy explaining how to ride it was cool and friendly.
There were red flags before we decided to give this place a shot. Over the phone, they were unfriendly and insisted that we could only rent 50cc motos with our licenses. Despite wanting to rent 2 motos for 4 days, they were unwilling to offer the lower rate, which is fine. We completed the paperwork, paid and were then shown the motos. I’m 159 cm and the moto was too tall - I could not reach the ground. I drive a moto in Spain and have rented them all over. I’ve never had this issue. The tires were also in bad condition. When it was apparent I could not take the moto, they offer my husband a 125cc moto (ok now we can drive the 125?). With two bags, unfortunately this wasn’t a feasible option. We were disappointed not to be able to rent, but as we headed back to the office to get our money, they said they would need to keep 20% of our money because they would have rented the motos to someone else. This was complete BS. The garage was full of their motos and they did not require any deposit. In all fairness, not renting the motos was a blessing. The roads are awful and we used Bolt to get everywhere for half the price.a/c included. Support ethical businesses and not this place.
Rented a quad for 5 hrs to go around the island very nice experience staff friendly when you exit the ferry terminal in mgarr gozo look on the left you will see mgarr tourist yellow sign.perfect location
Really unfriendly service. Not reccommend at all. Never been treated that badly.if i could give zero stars I would.

Experience Gozo like a local. Learn everything you need to know about Mġarr, Gozo.
The harbour town of Mġarr is the first town you reach when arriving in Gozo by ferry from Malta. The island’s largest fishing port is surrounded by bars and restaurants. There aren’t places to stay as such around the harbour, but if you search neighbouring towns such as Ghajnsielem, Qala or Xewkija, you won’t be far away.
This is one of the places to be when it comes to nightlife in Gozo.
Beaches & Walks
As Mġarr is the harbour town there are no beaches, as such, but there are a fair few Gozo swim spots just waiting to be discovered as you walk around the coast. Also, explore in and around Fort Chambray, in the town of Ghanjsielem, which overlooks the harbour. You can also walk from Mgarr to Mgarr ix Xini and take in the mesmerising views. A must for outdoor experiences on Gozo.

I'm a serious road/ mountain biker and would recommend Mgarr Tourist Services. They are polite and the bikes are hardtails with hydraulic disc brakes.
