Rob Brydon, Lee Mack and David Mitchell have announced a joint tour. The Brydon, Mack & Mitchell – Town To Town tour will kick off on Tuesday 10 September 2019 in Sheffield, set to run through to Brighton for three shows in early October.
All three are renowned for their TV work, including the likes of acclaimed series’ Peep Show , Gavin & Stacey and Not Going Out in their joint credits.
They regularly appear together on BBC panel show Would I Lie To You? , and have performed live together during a short run in Cheltenham earlier this year. The Town To Town run marks their first ever joint tour.
“There are so many others I would rather tour with but it’s pointless dwelling on that now,” laughs Rob Brydon. Lee Mack agrees: “When we are on the road together I guarantee I will have to sit in the back. It’s not fair.”
“I was actually asked to provide a quote first and so I have no idea what I’m responding to. Therefore: no comment,” David Mitchell adds.
The tour is currently set to take to Sheffield, Portsmouth, Swansea, Cardiff, Southend and Brighton.

Brydon, Mack and Mitchell – Town to Town, Portsmouth Guildhall: a pale imitation of Would I Lie to You?
The trio rib each other about mack’s supposed stupidity, mitchell’s poshness and the tv ads brydon does for a cruise line.
Brydon, Mack and Mitchell – Town to Town Guildhall, Portsmouth ★★★
Rob Brydon , Lee Mack and David Mitchell are the host and team captains respectively of Would I Lie to You? , the long-running BBC One panel game. Now they are touring together in Town to Town , which is family-friendly fun (with occasional naughtiness from the delightfully sweary Mack).
Brydon takes the stage – decked out as if it were a gentlemen’s club, with leather armchairs, bookcases and portraits – on his own and guys the audience with his trademark insincere flattery, while running through a few impressions, including Hugh Grant and Mick Jagger.
Then Mack and Mitchell join him for a quiz about how much they know about the town they are in, while ribbing each other about Mack’s supposed stupidity, Mitchell’s poshness and the TV ads Brydon does for a cruise line, or “a ferry company” as Mack has it.
Rob Brydon: ‘I’m just a short, middle-aged Welshman with bad skin’
There’s much to enjoy in the three being nimble with gags while sparring with each other and, while I’m a fan of Would I Lie to You? , this format feels like a pale imitation. THEARTSDESK.COM
Touring to 3 October
