SNORKEL 4X4 AIRFLOW Prise d'air Tuba sable poussière toutes marques pour 4x4 ISUZU JEEP LAND MITSUBISHI NISSAN OPEL SUZUKI TOYOTA Le snorkel 4X4 Airflow est issu de l’expérience du continent Australien qui offre aux fervents du 4x4 certaines des aventures les plus difficiles au monde. En adaptant une prise d'air vous ne vous inquiéterez plus des croisements de fleuve ou des kilomètres de poussières. Airflow propose une gamme complète de snorkels moulés en polyuréthane. Les Snorkels 4x sont livrés avec une prise d'air de type RAM et un kit de fixation pour chaque type de 4x4. Il existe aussi un préfiltre pour snorkel disponible en option. Ce dernier sera indispensable en cas de traversée de rivières profondes et de conduite sur pistes poussiéreuses. Le snorkel est un complément important pour le 4x4: - l’air étant aspiré par le snorkel hors du compartiment moteur du 4x4, il est plus frais - Il permet de prendre de l'air situé en hauteur et donc moins de poussière - il est possible de franchir des gués sans risquer de noyer le moteur grâce au snorkel pour 4x4. - Le filtre à air se salit moins vite et le moteur est préservé. La tête d'origine du SNORKEL 4X4 peut être indifféremment dirigée vers l’avant ou vers l’arrière. Dans la position avant, l'eau de pluie est tout de même rejetée en bonne partie sur l'arrière du snorkel d'où elle s'échappe. Mais rien ne vaut un préfiltre cyclonique pour assurer une bonne séparation air, poussière et eau. Livré complet tuba et accessoires.

Une prise d'air de Airflow permet à votre moteur un souffle plus facile en tirant l'air propre et frais de au-dessus du pare-brise. Une prise d'air peut ajouter des années à la vie de votre moteur de 4x4. Elle est simple à installer. Le snorkel 4X4 Airflow est moulés en polyuréthane. La présence d’une antenne ou de modifications mécaniques peut gêner le montage du snorkel. La durite que nous proposons pour le snorkel permet un raccordement technique et efficace quelque soit la position du snorkel.

Anyone fitted a Safari snorkel on a 2.8

Hi, As the title says just wondering if anyone out there has had a go at fitting one of Safari's snorkels on a GQ 2.8TD. Just got quoted $420 for supply and $780 for supply and fit. Apparently to fit it up it takes a full day, because the existing air cleaner box needs to be have the top of it cut and an adaptor fits onto it for the snorkel. Has anyone done this, is it hard to do as I would rather do it myself and pocket the $360. What sort of tools would I need, I'm guessing a large hole saw for the panels, and for cutting the air cleaner the dremel should work fine. Cheers  

Hi, I have done this about 10years ago. It is pretty straight forward. Please centre punch the guard before using the hole saw. Follow the instructions to the letter. There is not much room in the engine bay after the airbox is fitted. I have got a dual battery setup and I had to relocate the vacuum booster to the front behind the headlight so it's pretty tight in there. Also I have and ARB compressor there, behind the air filter box so it has to be removed to get the filter out to clean/replace. Again it is a straightforward swap and it is best to take your time. As far as I can remember it took me about 6 hours to do. Cheers, Rob  

Thanks for the reply but Ive already put it in, I have to say the supplied instructions are some of the best Ive ever seen, very clear and with detailed photos and supplied template it made it very easy. Took me most of the day though cos Im cheap I didnt buy the 105mm hole saw, just drilled it out to shape with a 3mm drill bit then cleaned up the edges with the dremel.

Haha yeh the date and time threw me out for a while. Yeh that's the same lid as mine, it came with a template that overlays on the standard air box then you have to cut the original air box for the snorkel bit to fit on, lotsa silicon and pop rivets to seal.

Tout tombe en face et le manchon fournit dans le kit (en forme de S) fait la liaison entre le snorkel et la boîte à air d'origine, c'est nickel Je vous posterais des photos quand j'aurais avancé voire terminé plutôt, ce sera plus parlant. Bref, je suis content C'est juste marqué "Navara" sur le Snorkel mais je n'ai rien contre les Nissan
