Bought 2, one for me, and the other for another dedicated fan/friend of mine. An absolute must-have for any hardcore fan. Each item is categorized by the timeframe, well packed and just awesome. Sure to stir up some emotions for those who have a deep love for the movies. There's only a couple things missing, but they just released the expansion kit for pre-order, which comes with even more things to complete the collection! Just pre ordered 2 of those as well.

I purchased this along with the DeLorean Replica key set. As a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law, who is a movie buff and a huge Back To The Future fan. Not only did it arrive just in time for the holidays. My brother-in-law absolutely LOVED IT. You know that a gift is good when you start to have "gifter's remorse." I'm kidding!! I will definitely be purchasing more items from here. Thank You So Much!!!!

Eurasian jays can use 'mental time travel' like humans, study finds

Study finds jays remember incidental details, similar to episodic memory in humans.

Eurasian jays can remember incidental details of past events, which is characteristic of episodic memory in humans, according to a study published May 15, 2024, in the open-access journal PLOS ONE by James Davies of the University of Cambridge, UK and colleagues.

When remembering events, humans have the ability of "mental time travel," consciously reimagining past experiences and potentially recalling details that seemed unimportant at the time. Some researchers have suggested that this "episodic memory" is unique to humans. In this study, Davies and colleagues ran a memory experiment to test for episodic-like memory in seven Eurasian jays, birds that excel at remembering the location of stored food.

In the experiment, the birds watched food get placed beneath one cup in a line of four identical cups and were then rewarded for correctly selecting the baited cup. Over several trials, the birds were trained to identify the correct cup by remembering its position in line. Then, at test, the jays were given an unexpected memory assessment: they watched food get placed beneath one of the cups, which now all had unique visual characteristics, but they were then separated from the cups for 10 minutes while the cups were relocated and rearranged. Despite the changed positions of the cups and the added time delay, the birds still correctly identified the baited cup according to their visual characteristics 70% of the time.

These results suggest that even though visual differences between the cups were unimportant during training, the birds were able to notice those differences at test and recall them later, similar to episodic memory in humans. This study indicates that episodic-like memory might aid jays in finding food stores, and the researchers suggest that future studies might investigate whether the birds can perform similar feats of memory in other non-food-related scenarios.

The authors add: "As the jays were able to remember details that held no specific value or relevance at the time that the memory was created, this suggests that they are able to record, recall, and access incidental information within a remembered event. This is an ability that characterises the type of human memory through which we mentally 'relive' past events (or episodes ), known as 'episodic' memory."

Caterpillar ‘could mean the end of box hedges in Jersey’

ISLANDERS might have to bid farewell to their beloved box hedges as one invasive – and hungry – species of caterpillar continues to wreak havoc in people’s gardens.

Environmentalist and JEP columnist Bob Tompkins says the box tree caterpillar – or box moth – is becoming more common in the British Isles.

And people from across the Channel Islands are appealing for help to banish the invasive species.

Mr Tompkins said: “Unfortunately we are going to see the demise of an awful lot of box hedges. It could mean the end of box hedges in Jersey.

“We’re going to have to learn to live with this invasive species. Once it is here, there is very little you can do about it.”

He explained that the box tree caterpillar was a relatively new pest, after it spread from east Asia to Britain just over a decade ago.

Causing most of its damage between March and October, the species can destroy a box ball hedge within a week if action is not taken, according to Gardener’s World.

Mr Tompkins said: “Once the species gets into a different environment, it loses most of its predators in one fell swoop and the world is its oyster.”

The only solution, he added, was to find an alternative to the box hedge.

He said: “You can spray pesticides to kill the caterpillar, but the chances are that just a matter of weeks down the road, the box moth will come back. There is very little to do other than getting rid of that hedge and replacing it with something else. That’s what has been done in the UK and in France, where they are having similar problems with it and losing a huge amount. And it’s what will have to happen here.”

Taylor Swift sings 'The Alchemy' as Travis Kelce attends Eras Tour in Paris

PARIS — Taylor Swift sang "The Alchemy" as part of her acoustic set of surprise songs during Sunday's Eras Tour show with boyfriend Travis Kelce in attendance. Several football metaphors in the song have led fans to believe Swift wrote it about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

"Can you believe this is the 87th show?" Swift asked during her acoustic set in La Défense Arena. Kelce wears No. 87. She then played a mashup on guitar of "The Alchemy" from her new album "The Tortured Poets Department" with "Treacherous" from "Red."

Kelce stood in his box as Swift glanced up at him and the crowd looked back and forth between the two.

"This happens once every few lifetimes," Swift sang. "These chemicals hit me like white wine.”

The crowd roared.

Kelce joined 40,000-plus fans for the fourth and final night of Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour in Paris. He watched from a box seat alongside actor Bradley Cooper, super model Gigi Hadid and rock star Lenny Kravitz.

The concert marks the fifth time Kelce has appeared at the tour since the couple went public last year. His first stop was Buenos Aires, Argentina, followed by Sydney, Australia, and two nights in Singapore . Swift has changed the “Karma” lyrics to "guy on the Chiefs" every time Kelce has cheered her on from the sidelines.

Kelce hadn’t seen the new set list live since Swift switched up the eras and added her 11th era, “ The Tortured Poets Department .” The singer-songwriter said she’s been working on the changes for 8-9 months (since last fall).

Hadid has famously been a member of Swift's squad for years now and has been dating Cooper for several months.

Other celebrities spotted in the crowd included Grey's Anatomy actor Jessica Capshaw and singer Christina Milian.

Her next stop is Stockholm, Sweden, as she continues the European leg of the tour.
