Stops front sight movement because of overtravel after trigger pulled. Better accuracy.

Love the RYG stuff!

This thing is awesome! Everyone knows Glocks are great sidearms, and everyone also knows the Glock trigger is crap. It's spongey and has a soft wall and a hard wall. This over-travel stop is part of the fix to that Glock trigger. I also would suggest the RYG 3.5 lb trigger kit in conjunction with this item. My trigger is now smooth, crisp and clean. Love it!

Red dot no longer moves at all when the trigger breaks.

I didn't really understand the implications of stopping over travel until I installed this part. I'm honestly blown away. So long as this is reliable, I intend to put this into every single Glock that I acquire. It's just splendid. if I use both fingers to push through all the creep right up to the break, the break itself only moves the shoe probably a fraction of a millimeter.

Cost Effective Trigger Upgrade

Posted by Glockfan66 on 31st Jan 2022

This is the most cost effective and performance efficient trigger upgrade. I was able to reduce the over travel, reset is very short and zero uptake. When installed along with the RYG 3.5 lb Trigger kit, the trigger pull is so light that you don’t need to buy those expensive trigger kits from other stores. Thanks RYG!

Awesome, simple trigger stop

Definitely recommend this product. I put on a gen 4 G40 just to turn around and buy another for my G20. Also showed my buddy the difference when you set the screw and back it off in how the trigger feels. For the price, it's a must buy. Won't have another Glock without one of these things in there.

Easy install, simple directions. Love the adjustability of the trigger reset. Probably only beneficial for the purpose of plinking, but either way trigger feels nice.

Finally read the FAQs

A while back, there was an article in Front Sight about installing a screw in the front of the Glock trigger bar to get rid of the trigger take-up. While this may or may not be a good idea (because it can override some of the gun's internal safeties) I wanted to do the same thing at the rear of the trigger bar as an overtravel stop. Anyone remember what size machine screw they used make this mod?

2x56x1/4 set screw. I had an impossible time finding them. I ended up getting some from www.smallparts.com I think.

Flexmoney

I think DBChaffin has done this mode on a few Glock. If I recall...he used different sized screws front and rear.

Looks for Range

Does it really work? Or just a novelty?

Yes, these screws do work, and the internal safety is still fully functional, because I was the one that designed it for the Front Site article. But you have to cut the notch in the trigger safety tab for this to work properly. DO NOT put the screws in the trigger housing without that modification. I have put about 50,000 rounds thru a G34 & G35 without a hitch. The screw size for the front of the trigger housing to remove take up, is 2X56X1/4. The size for the rear of the trigger housing to remove overtravel is 4X40X3/8. Drill this hole slightly under center, so as to make square contact with the trigger cruciform when it makse it's downward travel. Do not screw this one in to far, or it will stop it from firing altogether. And then you will have a hell of a time getting the slide off. If this happens, contact me, and I'll walk you thru the process of removing the slide.

:D

But you have to cut the notch in the trigger safety tab for this to work properly. DO NOT put the screws in the trigger housing without that modification.

Can you provide more info about the notch in the trigger safety?

How do you test that the drop safety and trigger block safety have not been disabled by the modifications? I would think that a set screw in the front of the window trigger housing would easily impair the drop safety.

Trigger travel stopper

So, I noticed this product online a couple of days ago, I think by Lone Wolf, that stops over travel of the trigger after the firing point. But, instead of being on the connector that you file down to your customized stop, this is a replacement of the trigger housing that apparently has a little Allen screw that seems to stop the cruciform from traveling farther than you want it to. I assume you adjust the little screw until it is just the right travel allowance. I'd never seen it before and wondered what people thought about it.

I can imagine that it could get out of whack pretty easily. No, I definitely wouldn't use that kind of thing on a carry gun.

+1. I had one on my 1911 that I carried and the Loctite held it in place.

Glock 19 overtravel

  • Add to quote

Hello all, I very recently bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 and overall am very pleased except for one issue: the over-travel on the trigger seems pretty excessive and this makes it unforgiving for fast shooting. What's more annoying is that I also have a gen 3 Glock 17 which has very little overtravel and allows for much tighter groups when doing holster drills. Is there an inexpensive way to reduce the overtravel on my Glock 19?

glock over travel stop

Put a G17 Gen 3 trigger in it.

glock over travel stop

If that's the only adjustment you want, I'd just put a stop screw in the trigger housing. Or I guess you could buy the one from LWD.

glock over travel stop

Are your trigger setups the same? Swap them out to see if that is the issue. Otherwise, NO is the simple answer to a hard question. How fast are you shooting to notice "overtravel"??? Crap, when a zombie is trying to chew on my toe, the last thing I notice 10 years later is how much the overtravel there was in the trigger.

So here's what I did: I swapped the g19 and g17 triggers and connectors and basically the trigger is now just as good on the G19 as the G17 was: Very small overtravel and very short reset. Now I'm wondering: is it because the G17 trigger and connector are much more worn, having been fired and dry-fired probably tens of thousands of times over the past 8 years, or is the stock g17 trigger that much better?

Tool

It's not quite night and day but I'm definitely ordering a gen 3 glock connector and trigger now. Anyone better than numrich or midwest gunworks?

Get them on eBay all day long Glock OEM SP00357 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Glock-OEM-S...083634?hash=item5424965072:g:VtAAAOSwnDZUEJHT

One more thing I just had to say: I'm used to detail-stripping being a ginormous pain-in-the-a**, but detail stripping the glock, both the frame and the slide, was relatively easy! With enough time it's perfectly feasible to do the job with just a ballpoint-pen. With the S&W SD9 that I traded in for my g19, I needed a hammer, a punch set, and a bench vise just to replace the striker spring!

glock over travel stop

I just put a complete drop in trigger kit in my glock 19 from robar guns. Its an overwatch precision trigger with a coated connector and comes all assembled with the housing and everything. Quick install and made a world of difference in mine. I have yet to shoot it because of work but i will tomorrow most likely. From dry firing it feels way better. Way shorter travel but still retains all the safeties and drop safety as well where some aftermarket ones do not. Not too cheap though, only downside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

glock over travel stop

An even less expensive option is a pencil eraser , krazy-glued to the grip frame (right behind the trigger), carefully cut-to-length, tested, then colored (to match the frame) with a permanent marker. I first heard of that via G&A's ' Jim Grover ' (aka Kelly McCann). It works.

glock over travel stop

Put a gen 3 trigger in it

glock over travel stop

Get a trigger mechanism housing that has an adjustable screw for over-travel or any of the Ghost connectors with the over-travel tab.

Crying fugitive illegally in US, wanted by Interpol for murder arrested during traffic stop in Texas

A n international fugitive from Mexico, living in the United States illegally and wanted for murder by Interpol, cried as she was arrested last week in Texas.

Leo Acosta Sanchez, 21, was captured on May 24, when she was pulled over during a routine traffic stop, as part of a collaboration between local and federal authorities.

“During a routine patrol, vigilant Splendora Police officers identified the wanted individual behind the wheel of a vehicle and promptly called for backup,” the department announced Saturday.

“Following the arrival of additional units, a traffic stop was conducted, leading to the immediate arrest of the driver, identified as Leo Acosta Sanchez,” it continued.

Authorities knew Sanchez was living in the area, was wanted by Interpol, and knew of her travel habits.

“The suspect, who had been illegally residing in our state and country, was known to travel between the City and her residence in Terrenos.”

Terrenos is a residential community advertising cheap land for sale outside Houston.

“In a joint effort with the Department of Homeland Security, Mrs. Sanchez was taken into custody to face charges related to the alleged crimes committed,” the department said.

Officials have not disclosed the exact charges Sanchez faces, or given any details regarding the alleged murder.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told Fox News Digital that Sanchez is originally from Mexico.

“Acosta entered the United States as a nonimmigrant on Aug. 20, 2023, and violated the terms of her admission,” the federal law enforcement agency said. “She remains in ICE custody pending disposition of her immigration proceedings.”

Photos shared by the Splendora police showed Sanchez captured seemingly crying with her hands cuffed behind her as she sat in the back of a police cruiser.

“Splendora Police commends the swift and effective collaboration with our Federal partners in ensuring the apprehension of this dangerous individual,” the Splendora celebrated.

During the 20th century, the square became famous as the site for demonstrations designed to showcase Soviet strength. Visiting the Red Square today, you’ll find it teeming with tourists, who come to witness its magical architecture up close!

The Red Square

It’s also home to some of Russia’s most distinguishing and important landmarks, which we’ve made sure to include further down in this itinerary. It’s an important center of Russia’s cultural life and one of the top places to visit in Moscow!

The iconic Moscow Kremlin , also known as the Kremlin museum complex, sits on Borovitsky Hill, rising above the Moscow River. It is a fortified complex in the center of the city, overlooking several iconic buildings in the Red Square!

It’s the best known of the Russian Kremlins – citadels or fortress’ protecting and dominating a city. During the early decades of the Soviet era, the Kremlin was a private enclave where the state’s governing elite lived and worked.

The Kremlin is outlined by an irregularly shaped triangular wall that encloses an area of 68 acres! The existing walls and towers were built from 1485 to 1495. Inside the Kremlin museum complex, there are five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers.

The Armoury Chamber is a part of the Grand Kremlin Palace’s complex and is one of the oldest museums of Moscow, established in 1851. It showcases Russian history and displays many cherished relics. Definitely make sure to check out this museum while you’re here!

It was built from 1475–1479 by an Italian architect and has served as a wedding and coronation place for great princes, tsars, and emperors of Russia. Church services are given in the Kremlin’s numerous cathedrals on a regular basis.

The Grand Kremlin Palace was the former Tsar’s Moscow residence and today it serves as the official workplace of the President of the Russian Federation (Vladimir Putin seems to have bagged that title for life) .

Lenins Mausoleum

Expect a line to enter the building, and while you’re inside the building, you’ll be constantly moving in line with other visitors. This means you won’t be able to spend as long as you’d like viewing the mausoleum, but you’ll still be able to get a good look. Pictures and filming while inside the building are strictly prohibited, and security guards will stop you if they see you breaking this rule.

The mausoleum is only open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday – unless it’s a public holiday or a day scheduled for maintenance. The hours it’s open for each day are limited, make sure to check online before you visit to make sure you can fit this into your Moscow itinerary for that day!

The Alexander Garden

The Alexander Garden was one of the first urban public parks in Moscow! The garden premiered in 1821 and was built to celebrate Russia’s victory over Napoleon’s forces in 1812!

The park is beautiful and well maintained with paths to walk on and benches to rest on. The park contains three separate gardens: the upper garden, middle garden, and lower garden.

The Alexander Garden

Located in the upper garden, towards the main entrance to the park is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with its eternal flame. This monument was created in 1967 and contains the body of a soldier who fell during the Great Patriotic War!

The park stretches along all the length of the western Kremlin wall for about half a mile. Due to its central location in the city, it’ll be easily accessible when you’re out exploring The Red Square.

It provides a bit of relief from the city’s high-energy city streets. Bring a picnic lunch, go for a walk, or just sit and people watch, this is one of the best Moscow sites to wind-down and relax!

Ostankino Television Tower

Museum of Soviet Arcade Games

The best part is, most of the games are still playable! Purchase tickets and try the games out for yourself! The museum also has a neat little screening room that plays old Soviet cartoons and an area with Soviet magazines! This unique attraction is a fun addition to a 3 day itinerary in Moscow, and an attraction that all ages will enjoy!

Whether you’re spending one day in Moscow, or more, safety is an important thing to keep in mind when traveling to a big city! Overall, Moscow is a very safe place to visit. However, it is always recommended that tourists take certain precautions when traveling to a new destination!

The police in Moscow is extremely effective at making the city a safe place to visit and do their best to patrol all of the top Moscow, Russia tourist attractions. However, tourists can still be a target for pickpockets and scammers.

Moscow has a huge flow of tourists, therefore there is a risk for pickpocketing. Simple precautions will help eliminate your chances of being robbed. Stay vigilant, keep your items close to you at all times, and don’t flash your valuables!

If you’re planning a solo Moscow itinerary, you should have no need to worry, as the city is also considered safe for solo travelers, even women. Stay in the populated areas, try and not travel alone late at night, and never accept rides from strangers or taxis without a meter and correct signage.

The threat of natural disasters in Moscow is low, with the exception of severe winters when the temperature can dip below freezing! Bring a good, warm jacket if you visit in Winter.

However, please note that Russian views on homsexuality are far less accepting than those in Western Europe. Likewise, Non-Caucasian travellers may sadly encounter racism in Russia .

No more cute snaps of Mount Fuji over a convenience store. A screen was built to stop tourist crowds

The town of Fujikawaguchiko, known for a photo spot that offers Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji as if rising from atop a local convenience store, has constructed a huge black screen on a stretch of a sidewalk to block the view of the mountain. The town on Tuesday completed construction of the barricade near a Lawson convenience store, which suddenly started attracting foreign tourists a couple of years ago as a popular photo spot, apparently after a photo taken in a particular angle showing Mount Fuji in the background as if it the picturesque mountain sits atop the store roof became a social media sensation.

TOKYO (AP) — Sorry, the screen is now up — no more snapping cute photos of Mount Fuji from a popular sidewalk spot in the Japanese town of Fujikawaguchiko.

Known as a place that offers some of the best views of the iconic Japanese mountain, the town last month started erecting a large black screen on a stretch of a street to block the view and deter tourists from overcrowding the place.

A particularly popular photo location was outside a Lawson convenience store, from where a photograph taken at a particular angle would make it seem as if Mount Fuji was sitting atop the store roof.

The tourists, mostly foreigners, even dubbed the spot “Mt. Fuji Lawson.”

But the townspeople were unhappy — visitors would block the narrow sidewalk, take photos on the busy road or walk into neighbors’ properties in pursuit of their shot, officials said.

On Tuesday, construction of the 2.5 meter (8.2 feet) high black mesh net — stretching for 20 meters (66 feet) along the sidewalk — was completed.

Still, there are other places tourists can find their sweet photo spot.

This week, Yamanashi prefecture, also home to the Yoshida Trail — the most popular of the four routes to summit the 3,776-meter (12,300-feet-) high mountain — introduced a booking system ahead of this year’s Fuji climbing season to ease overcrowding, littering and safety risks.

Under the new plan, only up to 4,000 climbers will be allowed to enter the trail per day for a hiking fee of 2,000 yen (about $18), with an option of donating an additional 1,000 yen (about $9) for conservation during the climbing season, which starts July 1 and runs until Sept. 10.

Only those with reservation for an overnight stay at huts along the trail are allowed to hike beyond the 5th of the 10 stations between 4 p.m. and 3 a.m., a measure to stop “bullet climbing,” or rushing to the summit without adequate rest, which officials say puts lives at risk.

Designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 2013, Mount Fuji used to be a place of pilgrimage.

A worker sets up a huge black screen on a stretch of sidewalk at Fujikawaguchiko town, Yamanashi prefecture, central Japan Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Just a few weeks ago, the town began setting up a huge black screen to block a view of Mount Fuji because tourists were crowding into the area to take photos with the mountain as a backdrop to a convenience store, a social media phenomenon known as “Mount Fuji Lawson” that has disrupted business, traffic and local life. (Kyodo News via AP)

Today, it’s popular among hikers who climb the summit to watch the sunrise. But tons of trash left behind, including plastic bottles, food and even clothes, have become a major concern.

Over-tourism has also become a growing issue at other popular tourist destinations such as Kyoto and Kamakura.

Last year, Japan had more than 25 million visitors, and the figures in 2024 are expected to surpass nearly 32 million, a record from 2019, according to the Japan National Tourism Organization.

Ukraine-Russia war latest: Putin picks ex-bodyguard for senior role - fuelling succession rumours

The Russian president has brought Alexei Dyumin, 51, closer to the centre of power since his re-election in March. Meanwhile, the leaders of France and Germany have said Ukraine should be allowed to strike targets in Russia - but on certain conditions.

  • French and German leaders say Ukraine allowed to strike inside Russia
  • Russia launches drone attack at three regions
  • Sean Bell analysis:  Putin is concerned and he's rattling the nuclear sabre
  • The big picture : What you need to know about the war right now
  • Eyewitness: Russia producing shells three times faster than Ukraine's allies

We're pausing our live coverage of the conflict for the day, but if you're just joining us, here is a recap of the key moments.

  • Vladimir Putin appointed Alexei Dyumin, his former bodyguard, as secretary of the advisory State Council, fuelling speculation about his presidential potential;
  • France and Germany's leaders said Ukraine should be allowed to hit military sites inside Russia from which missiles were being fired at Ukrainian territory, but not other targets;
  • Police searched the office of a European Parliament employee in Brussels over suspected Russian interference;
  • Prisoner of war exchanges between Russia and Ukraine have been suspended for several months, Russia's human rights commissioner said.

A Russian airstrike has hit more than 100 houses in an eastern Ukrainian village, local authorities say.

The high-explosive aerial bomb wounded seven people in the Donetsk region, according to the Ukrainian National Police.

The attack took place seven miles from Kramatorsk, a key Ukrainian-held city.

A four-year-old child was among those injured.

Vladimir Putin has appointed Alexei Dyumin, his former bodyguard, as secretary of the advisory State Council, fuelling speculation about his presidential potential.

The president has brought Mr Dyumin, 51, closer to the centre of power since his re-election in March, having made him an aide overseeing the defence industry this month.

The details of his new role are unknown.

"Russia's elite is abuzz with the appointment of Dyumin," Sergei Markov, a former Kremlin adviser and Putin supporter, said on Telegram.

"This is seen as confirmation that Dyumin is the future president of Russia, Putin's choice," Mr Markov said, adding that this was something that had long been rumoured.

There is no public debate or reliable information about who might eventually succeed Putin, who is 71 and is expected to rule for years, but his appointments are scrutinised for signs of whether he is lining up a potential candidate to one day take over from him.

Being publicly identified as a potential successor carries certain risks attached to being seen as a challenger.

Asked about Dyumin's appointment, the Kremlin said it was part of a rotation - he is taking over the role from Igor Levitin, 72 - and said he would look at how the State Council would function.

A German government spokesperson says agreements on how Ukraine deploys weapons supplied by the West are confidential.

They batted away questions on whether Ukrainian forces could use them to strike into Russian territory.

The government was pressed on the issue at a news conference after French and German leaders said Kyiv should be allowed to hit military sites inside Russia from which missiles were being fired at Ukrainian territory.

Yesterday, Vladimir Putin tried to frame his invasion across the Kharkiv border, opening up a second front, as a result of the West failing to prevent Kyiv from attacking Russian targets.

Ukrainian drones have the capability of striking a target up to 1,550 miles away, but Moscow has been protected, a senior Russian airforce official has said.

The comments, made by Dmitry Bogdanov, head of the radio-electronic warfare department of the Russian Aerospace Forces, suggest a wide swath of Russian territory bordering Ukraine is vulnerable to attack.

"The enemy is not standing still," Mr Bogdanov was quoted as saying by state news agency Tass.

"Now unmanned aerial vehicles can traverse an area of up to 2,500 kilometres, and many [Russian] regions are aware of this."

It comes after a Kyiv source told Reuters on Monday that a Ukrainian drone had attempted its deepest strike yet, targeting a Russian early-warning military radar system in the Orenburg region, almost 1,000 miles away.

Since the start of the year, drone attacks have also struck critical oil refining infrastructure in Russia.

Ukraine does not officially confirm or deny it is attacking refineries inside Russia, but it says such sites are legitimate targets as they aid Moscow's military effort.

A major barrage in May last year saw two drones fly towards the Kremlin complex overlooking Red Square before they were destroyed.

Police have searched the office of a European Parliament employee in Brussels over suspected Russian interference, Belgium's federal prosecutor's office says.

Officers also raided the employee's residence and the EU Parliament's French headquarters.

It comes after an investigation was launched last month by the Belgian prime minister, who said his intelligence service uncovered a network trying to undermine support for Ukraine.

"The searches are part of a case of interference, passive corruption and membership of a criminal organisation and relates to indications of Russian interference, whereby members of the European Parliament were approached and paid to promote Russian propaganda via the Voice of Europe news website," prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said they believe the employee played "a significant role in this".

This comes less than two weeks before polls open on 6-9 June to elect a new EU parliament.

"According to our intelligence service, the objectives of Moscow are very clear," said Belgian leader Alexander De Croo.

"The objective is to help elect more pro-Russian candidates to the European Parliament and to reinforce a certain pro-Russian narrative in that institution."

The Swedish government will donate military aid to Ukraine worth £960m.

It is the largest package of the 16 Sweden has agreed to so far.

"It consists of equipment that is at the top of Ukraine's priority list," deputy prime minister Ebba Busch said.

This includes air defence, artillery ammunition and armoured vehicles.

Sweden's defence minister Pal Jonsson said the country has ruled out sending any Swedish-built JAS 39 Gripen jets for now, saying Ukrainian is focusing on implementing the F-16 programme.

Several countries have said they want to donate F-16s, with Belgium pledging 30 yesterday.

Mr Jonsson said Sweden "is still working on possibly being able to contribute with the Gripen system later."

Prisoner of war exchanges between Russia and Ukraine have been suspended for several months, Russia's human rights commissioner says.

Tatyana Moskalova blamed what she called Kyiv's "false demands", the state news agency Tass reported.

It was unclear precisely when swaps ceased. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine.

Moscow and Kyiv have carried out periodic prisoner swaps via intermediaries since Moscow launched its invasion.

Outside Kyiv, manufacturers have been demonstrating their answer to the challenge of rescuing injured soldiers from the battlefield.

Several remote-controlled stretchers were being tested in these pictures taken by Reuters at an undisclosed location.

Russian guided bombs killed two civilians in the eastern Ukrainian city of Toretsk yesterday, Donetsk's regional governor has said.

They heavily damaged two multistorey apartment buildings, said Vadym Filashkin.

Mr Filashkin said Russian forces attacked the city with three bombs, located north of Russian-held Donetsk.

Rescue teams were on site to determine the extent of casualties.

Bridgeport man arrested for speeding after fleeing from traffic stop

A Bridgeport man was arrested after police say he fled a traffic stop.

SHELTON, CT (WFSB) - A Bridgeport man was arrested after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in Shelton.

On April 26, while traveling in the center lane of Route 8 northbound prior to Exit 13 in Shelton, a trooper assigned to Troop I in Bethany, observed a gray Nissan Altima pass their assigned cruiser via the right travel lane.

As the Nissan pulled ahead of the cruiser, the Trooper began to clock its speed, which was determined to be approximately 85 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. Based upon these observations, the Trooper initiated a motor vehicle stop by activating their cruiser’s emergency lights and siren.

In response, the Nissan slowed and pulled towards the left side to roadway, coming to a stop partially in the left shoulder and partially in the left travel lane. Due to the hazardous location, the trooper used their cruiser’s PA system to instruct the Nissan’s operator to move his vehicle to the right side of the roadway. The Nissan operator complied and moved the vehicle to the right shoulder, prior to Exit 13.

When asked to provide his driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance, the Nissan operator responded that he did not have any paperwork with him in the vehicle and provided a work ID badge as an alternate form of identification.

The trooper observed that the photo on the ID badge was consistent in appearance with and identified the Nissan operator as “Elijah Crowell”. Crowell explained the vehicle was registered in his name and that he had left the corresponding paperwork at home.

When asked if Crowell had the ability to display the vehicle’s insurance policy information on his cell phone, Crowell responded that he was unable to so. Crowell further explained that he had a driver’s license in the State of Connecticut and provided the Trooper with his date of birth.

When the trooper advised Crowell that the reason for the stop for was excessive speed, Crowell responded that he was trying to get to work on time, in Naugatuck.

The trooper returned to their cruiser and learned that the status of the registration plate displayed on the Nissan was “cancelled” and the vehicle’s insurance could not be confirmed. Additionally, the Trooper was unable to identify any information corroborating Crowell’s claim that he was the registered owner of the Nissan.

A police database showed that Crowell possessed an identification card only and the associated Connecticut ID card photograph matched the appearance of the Nissan operator.

When asked for further information about his driver’s license, Crowell explained that he had recently obtained a driver’s license and asked the trooper to not tow the vehicle.

As the trooper began walking back to their cruiser to continue the investigation, the Nissan fled from the scene, accelerating away from the trooper at a high rate of speed.

The trooper observed the Nissan exiting the highway at the Exit 13 off ramp, using the right shoulder to bypass traffic, entering the intersection located at the end of the off ramp and failing to stop for the traffic signal, which was illuminated red.

Having learned the location of Crowell’s place of employment during the traffic stop, troopers responded to that location but were unable to locate Crowell or the Nissan.

Still possessing the work ID badge provided by Crowell during the traffic stop, the trooper processed the badge as evidence in this investigation.

Based upon the information obtained and observations made, the investigating trooper applied for and was granted a warrant for Crowell’s arrest.

On May 28, troopers traveled to Crowell’s place of employment in Naugatuck, where Elijah Crowell, DOB 07/27/2002, of Bridgeport, he was located and taken into custody without incident.

The Nissan operated by Crowell at the time of the original motor vehicle stop was also located on the premises. After determining that Crowell was in possession of the vehicle’s keys and that the vehicle remained unregistered with unconfirmed insurance, a tow truck was requested to tow the vehicle from the scene.

Crowell was charged with interfering with an officer, speeding, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to provide insurance, disobeying the signal of an officer, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, disobeying a traffic signal, failure to drive in the proper lane, improper passing, failure to stop on the right side of the road and failure to carry a diver’s license
