I’ve always loved a good pub quiz, but recently I’ve been doing about 3 quizzes a week. Once thing I’ve quickly learned is I’m quite good at general knowledge but I really know my travel trivia questions. Whenever there’s a travel round my eyes light up.

I always feel that being a travel blogger I’ve got a bit of an unfair advantage when it comes to travel trivia, but hey, I’m not complaining. One of the reasons I love travelling so much is learning about different cultures and societies. I’ve always said travelling is the best education in the world because you just learn so much.

52 out of 55. Decent quiz, I enjoyed that. Thought the Hell pit was in Uzbekistan for some reason. I thought the island of spice was Cuba… Idiot Knew Callanish was Scottish but answered as Ireland when doing the quiz.

That’s a great effort Craig, well done!

I didn’t do too well, but enjoyed it a lot. Just one small point: Germany’s flag is made up of the colours red, black and gold, not yellow. It dates back to the Prussian resistance against Napoleonic rule. Volunteer soldiers wore black uniforms with red buttons and golden trimmings. The colours became a symbol of freedom and nation. Thanks for the great quiz.

  • What’s the weather like in your country?
  • Example answer: The weather in my country is quite pleasant. We have a temperate climate, so it’s never boiling hot in the summer or freezing cold in the winter.
  • Does the weather affect your mood?
  • Example answer: Yes, indeed. When it’s a very hot day or night, I feel extremely tired and I have a bad mood. The opposite happens when it’s cold.
  • How do rainy days make you feel?
  • Example answer: I really like a rainy day. It always sets my mood in a good way. I enjoy raindrops and the sound it creates. It’s almost like music. But I don’t like heavy rainfall at all.

  • Example answer: I would really like to visit Some exotic places in Europe and Central Asia. I heard about them so much and recently some of my friends have been there. They have told me about the places. It sounds really interesting.

  • Example answer: I would recommend the southern parts of my country due to its wonderful location with lots of lakes and coastal areas. There is a big forest there which attracts many tourists. The seaside also looks exotic and anyone can enjoy lots of activities there.
  • Do a lot of tourists visit your country?
  • Example answer: Yes, every year a lot of tourists from different parts of the world visit our country.
  • What do they usually do there?
  • Example answer: Most of them usually come here just for relaxation. There are lots of activities they do; such as hiking, boat-rowing, climbing hills, gaming, and so on.
  • How has tourism changed your country?
  • Example answer: Yes, over the last decade there has been a tremendous change in the tourism industry in my country. At least 20 five-star hotels have been established both by the government and private companies. New rides have been added and many tourist places have been redecorated.
  • Is your country expensive for most tourists?
  • Example answer: No, on the contrary, I believe it is quite cheap compared to many other countries. The food is extremely cheap and easily or readily available. Travel fare is affordable as well.
  • What are some famous landmarks in your country?
  • Example answer: Some of the famous landmarks in my country are The Catholic Church of St. Martins, The Kwabili Islands, The Golden Mosque, Hunain Square etc. (Add the names of landmarks from your own country here.)
