In 2018 a bill passed that allowed Oklahoma brewers to sell full strength beers to customers right from their brewery, which started the craft brewery boom is this cowboy state. Since these legislative changes, craft breweries have been popping up left, right and centre, all boasting unique beers and vibes.

From the small, hip neighborhood of Automobile Alley, known for its 1920s brick buildings and vintage neon signs, to the lively and artsy Plaza District, you’ll never be too far away from a phenomenal brewery in this city. Prairie Artisan Ales

Prairie Artisan Ales is known for their big bold barrel aged stouts and tasty, tart, and funky farmhouse ales. Their industrial chic tap room in the 8th street Market Building in Automobile Alley is a go-to spot for beer lovers in Oklahoma. Their best known craft beer, BOMB! has been named one of the best imperial stouts on the market and they’ve got plenty of awards under their belts. COOP Ale Works

COOP Ale Works is a little further from the popping beer scene downtown, but being close to the airport makes it the perfect first stop if you’re flying in! Their tap room beer list includes their fan favourite core beers along with brewery-only releases that you can only get straight from the source. Bring your Growler and fill it up if you find a beer you love because their taps are always changing.

Skydance Brewing Company

Skydance Brewing Company is OKC’s first Native American-owned microbrewery and they value community over anything else, bringing people together one expertly crafted beer at a time. Anthem Brewing Co.

Anthem Brewing Company is one of Oklahoma City’s original craft breweries, brewing up world-class beers as “individual as the people who drink them”. The spacious warehouse style tap room at Anthem Brewing has enough indoor space for a game of corn hole or giant jenga and is dog friendly! A must visit, especially if you’re a fan of belgian-style brews.

Customer Review: Delicious beer, nice employees, and awesome atmosphere! There is a wide variety of beer types too, which was great. Definitely recommend trying this brewery!

Roughtail Brewing

Roughtail Brewing is paving the way for massive growth in the Oklahoma craft beer scene, constantly pushing the limits of both style and flavor with aggressive, hop-forward beers. Clever beer names, outstanding artwork on the cans, and food trucks visiting their outdoor patio… it’s never a dull moment at this OKC gem.

Customer Review: This place is my favorite Oklahoma brewery, just based on the quality of their beers. Between the beer itself, the awesome new location and the killer staff interactions (looking at you Riki!), this place is a perfect 10/10.

Stonecloud Brewing Company

Stonecloud Brewing is another brewery that has a knack for clever beer names with over a dozen beers on tap including the Chug Norris, Professor Dank, and Brews Lee. Founder, Joel Irby, spent years perfecting the craft of brewing in Colorado and is now bringing new, bold, neo-American beer styles to Oklahoma City along with quality, consistency, and innovation.

Customer Review: Maybe my favorite brewery?… They do everything well, and the people there are wonderful! New beer(s) almost every week. Larger variety of beer types than most breweries. Never a bad beer! Love this place!

Vanessa House Beer Company

Vanessa House (along with all the beers they craft) has a very interesting story. What started out with five friends home brewing from their house on Vanessa Street, has now become a booming craft brewery in OKC. Their home on Vanessa Street was a place for friends to gather and celebrate their love for craft beer, and now they get to do so in their very own brewery! A friendly place to enjoy a wide variety of flavours and styles of delicious craft beer.

Customer Review: Awesome brewery! They had great beers in every style from stouts to IPA’s to sours. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Also enjoyed the fun decor and modern aesthetic of the taproom.

Broke Brewing Company

From mild to wild styles, Broke Brewing Company brews it all. One of the newest breweries in town with the motto of “go all in” or “Go for Broke!” It’s always a great time at this brewery with events almost every night like open mic night and live music played by local artists, vinyl night, bingo, and even Yoga + Beer! Family and dog friendly with an outdoor patio and plenty of room to hang with your friends and catch up over a flight of excellent craft beer.

Customer Review: Had a wonderful time here. They had live music going. A wonderful selection of on tap beers and a great staff. Will definitely be returning to this great place.

Elk Valley Brewing

Elk Valley is setting the bar high, with 18 beers on tap and imperial stouts with higher ABV than almost anywhere in the US! Located on Hudson Ave. in Oklahoma City’s Midtown District, Elk Valley Brewing brews up some of the most unique and tasty beers in the city. Plus, their building features a beautiful rooftop patio that is the perfect place to sip one of their beer slushies while taking in the views of the city on a hot sunny day

Customer Review: Great area in downtown with the city in the background. Great beer and overall set up! We enjoyed our time there. This has been our favorite brewery that we’ve gone to out of the 4 we visited.

Located on Reno Ave, the atmosphere of the place is welcoming and modern with an industrial charm in a remodelled 1930s warehouse with an inspiring skyline view of downtown. You can’t miss this spot for a cold pint of your next favourite craft beer.

Customer Review: Best patio in town to watch the sunset. We learned that the owner has his PHD in chemistry so that explains why the beer is so top notch. Food trucks, live music, and friendly knowledgeable staff made for a great vibe with friends and dogs.

Angry Scotsman Brewing

Opened at the end of 2018, Angry Scotsman is an urban microbrewery in downtown Oklahoma City featuring a beer list that includes year-round lagers, European ales, IPAs and a broad selection of seasonal and special releases inspired by the travels of the Angry Scotsman. Angry Scotsman also features one of the best skyline views of any OKC brewery.

Anthem Brewing

Anthem Brewing is one of Oklahoma's original craft breweries, founded in 2011 by a burning passion for creating world-class beers as "individual as the people who drink them". The brewery offers guests a large amount of indoor space for activities like cornhole, and almost any board/card game you can think of. Anthem Brewing also features a unique taproom decor surrounded by both copper and steel brewing equipment!

Bricktown Brewery

What started in 1992 as a microbrewery restaurant in an old Bricktown candy factory has transformed into Oklahoma's favorite restaurant and brewpub. Bricktown Brewery is brewing more beer and good times than ever before by handcrafting beer in downtown Oklahoma City and delivering it fresh to seven satellite locations.

Broke Brewing Co.

COOP Ale Works

COOP Ale Works is the pioneer in Oklahoma City craft brewing. The company has redefined itself over the past decade, but the core beers remain the same. The current taproom is open Wednesday through Saturday with all their core beers on draught, as well as their limited releases.

Fair-Weather Friend

Fair-Weather Friend is a craft brewery, operated by veterans of the local craft brew scene. The brewery houses a taproom with 16 taps, including prosecco for mimosas and rotating seasonal offerings. While the beer is stellar, FWF is also the rare brewery to offer its own food, and their wood oven pizzas are as good as the beers.

Lively Beerworks

Lively Beerworks was created for the pure love of time-honored traditions of brewing beer. What began as a hobby became an obsession with creating honest, classic brews that people can enjoy. OK Cider Co.

OK Cider Co. is Oklahoma’s only local cidery. The history of Roughtail Brewing Co. is common to many microbreweries in Oklahoma, with two beer enthusiasts attempting home brewing, perfecting their craft and sharing with friends before bringing their best recipes to the thirsty Oklahoman landscape. In this instance, it was Roughtail founder Blaine Stansel who met his friend Tony Tieli at a local brewing club.   OKC Tour de Biere Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit that raises money for local animal shelters and rescues. Proceeds from ticket sales, merchandise, and money donated at the events go to The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Center and various other rescues around this great city.  This crazy event started back in 2009, and has grown immensely year after year. As stated in the title, it is a “tour” not a race.  The riders go at their own pace, touring some of Oklahoma City, Midtown, and the Western District’s most popular local bars and pubs.  Each stop features a few different beer specials for the riders to choose from and enjoy. A great time is had by all, while promoting local businesses and raising money for animals in need.
