Dec 2015 • Family. Fort Boyard is a must see in the La Rochelle area. It is a unique attraction and nowhere in the world is anything similar. Many cruises offer a tour of the Fort, although it is impossible to climb. We travelled with the Croisieres Inter-Iles which had a ticket office adjacent to the car park [Saint Jean D'Acre].
