The Offspring Announce Let The Bad Times Roll 2023 Tour

Today, The Offspring have announced their 2023 run – Let The Bad Times Roll Tour – with special guests Sum 41 and Simple Plan. Produced by Live Nation, the 24-city tour kicks off on August 1 at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA making stops across the U.S. in Irvine, Phoenix, Atlanta, Tampa, St. Louis and more before wrapping up in Mansfield, MA at Xfinity Center on September 3

“One of the best things about being on tour is traveling the world playing to great audiences, and it’s even better when you can do it with your friends – we had sold out International tours with Simple Plan and Sum 41, and we’re excited that they’ll be joining us this Summer in America. It’s going to be great!” said Dexter Holland of The Offspring

Frequently regarded as one of the best rock bands of all time, The Offspring have garnered a reputation for their unmistakable sound and social comment. The multi-platinum band first achieved worldwide success in the 90’s with the release of their album Smash, which sold over 11 million copies. Following Smash, they continued to release hit after hit, popularizing rock at a mainstream level. The group is also currently working on new music.

Throughout their career, they’ve sold over a staggering 40 million albums, and toured arenas, and built a global fan base. Let the Bad Times Roll marks the band’s tenth studio album and third album produced by the legendary Bob Rock. True to the irreverence at the core of their rock music, the band and lyricist Dexter Holland took a view to today’s cultural moments and didn’t shy away from creating topical material in this album.

ABOUT OFFSPRING

The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band’s lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan “Dexter” Holland, bassist Todd Morse and lead guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman. Over the course of their 38-year career, they have released ten studio albums. The Offspring is often credited—alongside fellow California bands Green Day and Rancid—for reviving mainstream interest in rock in the 1990s. Sum 41 is an awesome band. Had the chance to see them live on a whim when a friend called me up several years ago and just so happened to have a spare ticket. At the time I'd heard several of their songs, but I was by no means a huge fan. Going to the show, the seats were close. I was surprised my friend declined my offer to pay for my half.

These dudes come across as super hyped, but that's the largest reason why I enjoyed this concert so much. You couldn't help but to feel the undiluted energy. It just radiated from the band and transferred over to the audience. Mosh pits galore ensued and I had two beers doused onto me. It was all good though. I laughed it off and just went ahead to embrace it, I jumped right into the center of the bigger one I spotted, as did my friend.

"Fat Lip" is a fave as it is with most fans, I believe. Live, the sound just pierces your soul and you can't help but sing along at the top of your lungs (even if you're totally sober). Made me feel like a teenager again. Really good times.

This band is in my top ten. I'd definitely go and see them again if given the chance. I also adore "Underclass Hero" and "Walking Disaster". While the vocals aren't super strong, their heart and passion definitely makes up for it. Love it.

Hi. I'm sure I would've loved seeing Sum 41 but actually Songkick when I went to buy my tickets of Alt-Tickets, I was given tickets to see With Confidence instead who were playing the same night and at same venue - Rock City, Nottingham. Honestly me and my friend were devastated to not see Sum 41, we were so excited and it was my friend's first concert, but With Confidence, Milestones, Broadside and Safe To Say were all very good so in the end it made up for it. But Songkick, why say you have tickets for Sum 41 then give me a link to With Confidence tickets? I was, and still am so confused by this. Anyways, I'm sure Sum 41 and Hollerado were great, but I don't know, I didn't see.

My favorite band of all time! The first time I got to see them was at a Chicago music festival and I got to meet them and it was a highlight of my life. They were so nice and hilarious. Then I got to meet them again at a tiny show in Dallas at the house of blues and they told stories from the road. Such down to earth guys. I got to be front row for that show and they just thrived in that small room it was such a special experience. They just never disappoint. Their old stuff is what we love and grew up on but their new stuff is just as good. Will always be their #1 fan. Hope to see them as many times as possible.

This was my third time seeing Sum 41 and they were absolutely fantastic! They never disappoint! The only thing I will say is that I found out after I left the concert that they came out for a second encore and played Pain for Pleasure. Probably around 80% of the people had left before then, so I assumed they were done after the first encore. I would just recommend that everyone really makes sure they are truly done before leaving. I also thoroughly enjoyed the openers, who were The Plot in You and The Amity Affliction. Sum 41 is great live, and I look forward to seeing them again and again.

Great concert last night!!! The pit was kinda horrible cause people get totally crazy. But the band was AWESOME! I've been waiting for so long and I don't regret anything! Songs like theirs are meant to be heard and shared at a concert!! I can't wait for the new album and the next concert, I'm definitely going!!

It was the best night of my life! While we were there jumping in Underclass Hero, we couldn't believe it! It was SUM 41!! It was Deryck! In the middle of the concert, Deryck stepped down from the stage to stay with the people!! It was awesome!' I have no words. The best night ever. ❤️ SUM 41

Knapp hinter Rise Against an 2. Absolut geniale Band mit einer absolut geniale Leistung. Vorband Breath Atlantis leider nicht auf einem angemessenen Niveau aber immer noch halbwegs brauchbar. Sobald Sum41 losgelegt hat war Stimmung und permanent Pogo und Moshpit. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

The concert was very very very legitness, I LOVED IT SO MUCH. COME BACK TO AUSTIN TEXAS PLEASE. I LOVE YOUUUUU. I loved the skeleton and the singing. I loved seeing them perform live, it was so amazing. I especially loved Pierce the Veil, such a good combination, both amazing bands.

Best concert i have ever been too! i managed to get to get to the front which was a full on mosh pit, but it was worth it. the crowd was so pumped and so was the band. you could see in their faces that they were so happy to be back on tour. Can't for new music and a new tour!

It was awesomeness it was everything i wanted and thought it would be. The played their newest song . they just put out and then they played nothing but their old music . it was freaking amazing. I will see them again and again . love it they are amazing . love y o u guys !!

Sum 41 announces split, final album and tour: 'We are forever grateful'

Sum 41 is dividing.

The band took to social media Monday to share the news that "Sum 41 will be disbanding."

"Being in Sum 41 since 1996 has brought us some of the best moments of our lives. We are forever grateful for our fans old and new, who have supported us in every way. It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear this from us first," they said in the post.

The group won't disband before releasing their promised upcoming album and doing a global farewell tour.

"We will still be finishing all of our current upcoming tour dates this year, and we're looking forward to releasing our final album 'Heaven :x: Hell,' along with a final worldwide headlining tour to celebrate. Details will be announced as soon as we have them."

Lead singer (and Avril Lavigne 's ex-husband) Deryck Whibley , 43, also shared the announcement on his own Instagram. Jason "Cone" McCaslin, Dave Baksh, Thomas Thacker and Frank Zummo are listed as current members of the group on Instagram.

The early aughts rock band, known for hit tracks including "In Too Deep" and "Fat Lip," was in good company among the slew of late-1990s and early 2000s bands such as Good Charlotte and Yellowcard that followed Blink-182 and The Offspring.

They were a regular presence on the Warped Tour, the popular alt-rock outing that gave many bands of that ilk their first major platform. Sum 41 played the festival numerous times since 2000 and most recently in 2019. 

In addition to their ongoing and upcoming tour, the group is scheduled to perform as part of the lineup of the When We Were Young fest in Las Vegas in October.
