The Kelce Jam music festival kicks off Saturday! View available tickets, lineup and schedule

Taylor Swift’s favorite tight end is getting jiggy with it this weekend as host of the Kelce Jam music festival for the second year in a row. 

Travis Kelce has personally invited “all of Kansas City to continue celebrating their back-to-back championships," on Saturday, and "fight for your right to party,” USA TODAY previously reported.

The event is set to “bring the champion tight end’s over-the-top personality to life like never before,” offering attendees a chance to party like a Kelce.

There will be “legendary superstar artists, KC’s best BBQ, and tons of interactive experiences,” a social media announcement stated.

“It was such a blast that I had to do it again this year. I’m so excited," Kelce shared with The Hollywood Reporter .  “It’s going to be so much fun, and I cannot wait to get back out and celebrate with KC, man. It’s just a blast every single time we can get together to celebrate these back-to-back [Super Bowl] wins one last time.”

Kelce Jam 2024 music lineup 

Lil Wayne , Diplo and 2Chainz , who are some of Kelce’s "favorite artists,” will be hitting the stage at The Azura Amphitheater in Kansas City, according to a social media announcement . 

Last year, Machine Gun Kelly and Rick Ross were the inaugural headliners of the event.

Tickets for Kelce Jam 2024 still available, but almost sold out 

The time to buy your Kelce Jam tickets is now, since the event is about “95% sold out ,” according to the music festival’s website.

Tickets start at $50 and go up from there, offering lawn, reserved seating, general admission and VIP tickets. VIP tickets are currently sold out, but you can still purchase lawn, reserved seating and general admission for the time being. 

Schedule for Kelce Jam 2024

Kelce Jam is seven hours long, starting at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 and ending at midnight. 

Here’s a breakdown of the events scheduled that evening: 

5 p.m. - Doors open and DJ Doop welcomes attendees with set

6 p.m. - DJ E-V performs

7: 45 p.m. - DJ IRIE performs

8:15 p.m. - Travis Kelce joins main stage

9 p.m. - 2Chainz performs

9:55 p.m. - Diplo performs

11:15 p.m. - Lil Wayne performs

12 a.m. The show ends 

How to watch, livestream Kelce Jam 2024

Pearl Jam Announce ‘Dark Matter’ World Tour

Hours after dropping their new single “Dark Matter,” Pearl Jam have rolled out details of their new LP along with dates for a 35-date world tour, which kicks off May 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wraps November 21 in Sydney, Australia.

Dark Matter will hit shelves on April 19. It was produced by Andrew Watt and recorded over just three weeks at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. The album was unveiled to the public on January 31 during a listening event at the Troubadour in Los Angeles that the band attended.

“I’m getting chills,” Vedder told the crowd, “because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful, and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”

The tour will hit nine countries all across the globe and will ultimately be their longest run of shows in a calendar year since 2009. They’ll be joined by Deep Sea Diver on the first North American leg, Glen Hansard on the second North American leg, the Murder Capitol in Europe and parts of England, Richard Ashcroft in Dublin and London, and Pixies in Australia and New Zealand.

Pearl Jam sets 2023 U.S. tour, touts ‘fairly priced tickets’ amid Ticketmaster drama

Pearl Jam is hitting the road this year, and the band hopes fans can come along without breaking the bank.

On Thursday, the rock group announced its 2023 U.S. tour, commencing at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., on Aug. 31. Pearl Jam said it is taking action to “continue to protect fans’ access to fairly priced tickets.”

The Grammy-winning group — comprised of Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready and Eddie Vedder — opted to “make tickets non-transferable where permitted” and will sell “approximately 10% of tickets through PJ Premium at the market rate to offset increased costs.”

Fans, politicians and even artists were complaining about Ticketmaster long before Taylor Swift filled stadiums. But experts say the anger may be misplaced.

The announcement continued: “Tickets on this tour will continue to be non-transferable in all states except Illinois where it is prohibited by law. We apologize in advance to Illinois fans who may be subject to increased ticket prices on the secondary market.”

Nontransferable tickets make it less likely that buyers can flip their tickets for a profit by selling to third-party sites and scalpers.

Fans can register for Ticketmaster ‘s Verified Fan program before tickets go on sale on April 28 at 10 a.m. local time. Current Pearl Jam Ten Club members have access to the ticket presale.

In a statement shared with The Times Friday, Ticketmaster said it supports Pearl Jam’s efforts to be more transparent about ticket prices.

“Pearl Jam has always advocated on behalf of their fans and we hope more artists, teams and venues follow their lead and start using the all-in pricing display available on Ticketmaster,” Ticketmaster said. “It would be better for fans if all-in pricing was mandated nationally, but in the meantime we created the all-in display option to help fans see the full costs upfront.”

Pearl Jam’s latest efforts to be transparent with its ticket sales and limit reselling come months after music fans took Ticketmaster to court.

In December 2022, Taylor Swift fans filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster’s parent company, Live Nation Entertainment Inc., for alleged fraud, price-fixing and antitrust law violations while selling advance tickets to Swift’s Eras Tour.

An investigation by the Department of Justice and a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing rife with Swift lyrics followed a month later.

As part of its U.S. tour, Pearl Jam will make stops in Chicago, Indianapolis and Fort Worth and Austin, Texas. Rock band Inhaler will join Pearl Jam for its shows in Chicago, Indianapolis and Austin.

“We can’t wait to see you out there,” the band wrote.

Travis Kelce , the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end, has announced the lineup for the second annual Kelce Jam music festival, set to take place next month.

Kelce is "personally inviting all of Kansas City to continue celebrating their consecutive championships and fight for their right to party" on Saturday, May 18, according to the festival's website.

This year's headliners are rappers Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2 Chainz , who are some of Kelce's "favorite artists in the world." Last year's festival featured Machine Gun Kelly and Rick Ross on the main stage.

"It was so fantastic that I had to do it again this year. I'm very excited," said Kelce, 34, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on Tuesday.

"I wanted to keep it fresh and new, so this year we asked Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2 Chainz to come and perform.

"And, of course, we still have DJ Irie and my guy, DJ E-V , the hometown guy. We've got to show love to the hometown."

He added: "It's going to be so much fun, and I can't wait to get back out there and celebrate with KC. It's just a blast every time we get together to celebrate these back-to-back (Super Bowl) wins for the last time."

Will Taylor Swift Attend Kelce Jam?

Given that music is a significant part of Kelce 's life, many are wondering if Taylor Swift will make an appearance.

However, the "Anti-Hero" singer, also 34, has a scheduled stop on her Eras Tour in Stockholm, Sweden, on the same day as the festival, so she will not be attending.

Kelce admitted that he learned a few things from Swift about putting on a great show. "Don't try to be Taylor, that's what I learned," he joked.

"She's in another stratosphere. She's the best at what she does for a reason. It's because she's so eloquent and so focused on everything she does. And that's the beauty of it."

"I'd be a fool to try to take anything she does, apart from just enjoying the people who show up," he added.

"I think that's something I could probably take: she really connects with the people she performs for, so I embrace that."

Jeremy Camp is a chart-topping, Grammy-nominated artist with 40 number one hits. He is known for songs like “I Still Believe,” “Walk By Faith” and current hit “Keep Me In The Moment” and is the subject of the 2020 inspirational biopic I Still Believe . Jeremy joins the tour following the release of his 2021 album When You Speak and his Fall 2022 tour.

“I always look forward to touring with many of my favorite bands on Winter Jam,” said Jeremy Camp. “The community that Winter Jam provides and cultivates is always encouraging to my group and I love that their heart for the Gospel and reaching people are always front and center of what they do!”

Winter Jam kicks off this year’s tour on January 13th in Tampa, FL and will hit a total of 40 cities around the country including, Columbus, OH; Nashville, TN; Oklahoma City, OK; St. Louis, MO; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; before heading to the northwest for the first time in five years with stops in Boise, ID; Tacoma, WA; Portland, OR, and Spokane, WA.

Winter Jam’s Pre-jam party will be led by Thrive Worship, Sean Be and RENEE. Pastor and author Zane Black will be the speaker. No tickets are needed and admission is $15 at the door.

Created and hosted by one of Christian music’s most beloved bands, NewSong, Winter Jam exploded from a single show in 1995 to become Christian music’s benchmark tour. Music | Review: Pearl Jam does something it hadn’t done in over 25 years

Pearl jam plays sacramento for first time since 1998.

Yet, that certainly hasn’t translated to many appearances in California’s capital city over the decades.

“In 30-plus years, we’ve only said these words like three times: ‘Good evening, Sacramento,'” vocalist Eddie Vedder remarked near the start of the band’s concert on Monday night at the Golden 1 Center. “I didn’t know that it’s been that rare.”

Not only has a Pearl Jam show in Sacramento been rare, it’s also been something that hasn’t happened in a really, really long time. Indeed, Bill Clinton was President the last time the group played inside the city limits, in 1998 at the old Arco Arena. (Although Pearl Jam did play in the general area in 2000 — at the what’s now called the Toyota Amphitheatre in Marysville.)

“Thank you for your patience,” Vedder said to the full house of fans. “We appreciate you and your faith.”

The band then rewarded the audience for its patience and faith — having waited more than a quarter of a century since the last Pearl Jam gig in Sacramento — by delivering a spellbinding 2½ hour show that married classic tracks with material from its very well-received new album, “Dark Matter.”

In other words, those who plan to catch Pearl Jam when it headlines the BottleRock Napa Valley festival over Memorial Day Weekend should be very excited indeed.

The band kicked off Monday’s show in rather subdued fashion, appearing in silhouette on a mostly dark stage and softly rumbling through “Pendulum,” from 2013’s “Lightning Bolt.” From there, the group — which consists of Vedder, guitarists Stone Gossard and Mike McCready, bassist Jeff Ament and drummer Matt Cameron — creeped right over to the 1996 “No Code” cut “I’m Open.”

Both of those numbers were being played for the first time on this Dark Matters World Tour, nicely illustrating just how greatly the Seattle band changes up the setlist from show to show. Sure, the tour is only a little more than a week old — having kicked off in Vancouver on May 4 — but it’s still mighty impressive to note that eight of the 24 selections performed on Monday were tour debuts.

The absolute highlight of the first portion of the night — and, arguably, the entire show — came with the third number, “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town,” which proved to be one of those transcendent moments that can define a concert in your memory for years to come. The 1993 “Vs.” song is certainly on the very short list of Pearl Jam’s best, as well as one of the finest rock songs released in all of the ’90s, yet the version played on Monday seemed to reach an even higher level than usual, propelled by a band and a city who were coming together for the first time in ages.

“I just want to scream hello!” Vedder sang as if his life depended on it, as the words were pushed ever higher by the thousands of passionate accompanying vocalists in the crowd. “My God it’s been so long, never dreamed you’d return. But now here you are and here I am.”

It was an absolute love fest between the city and the band, led by a gushing Vedder, who pointed out that the group knew several people in the crowd.

“We’ve got some friends here,” he said. “And I already feel that that includes all of you.”

Yet, it’s important to note that Vedder and Sacramento haven’t always been besties. Indeed, he once drew headlines for blasting the city during a 2013 show in Oklahoma City, where Vedder’s beloved Seattle Supersonics relocated and began playing basketball as the Thunder in 2008. Instead of taking his anger out on the Oklahoma folks, however, the hoops-loving singer swung at the people of Sacramento, who had successfully blocked their NBA franchise — the Kings — from possibly moving to Seattle. It was all incredibly petty and childish — and very 21st century sports fan — as Vedder decided to make it personal.

“When you think about it, and if you’ve been to Sacramento, they’re already kind of (expletive),” Vedder was quoted as saying .

But those bad vibes are long gone, apparently, as Vedder and company continued to rock the Golden 1 Center — which, ironically, is operated by those same Sacramento Kings — with such new album offerings as “React, Respond,” “Running” and “Scared of Fear.”

The group used the opportunity to showcase eight of the 11 songs from “Dark Matter,” and, without exception, this new material held up very well among the classics.

McCready, as per usual, was worth the price of admission on his own merit, burning through some of the hottest guitar leads one will find in all of rock. And just when you think he can’t possibly get more amazing on the frets, he hoists the guitar behind his head and blindly powers through the amazing lead on “Even Flow,” one of a half-dozen numbers played from the band’s game-changing debut, 1991’s “Ten.”

The group finished up the 90-minute-plus main set with the anthem “Better Man” and then returned to play almost another hour’s worth of music during an encore that really could have passed for a second set.

McCready again was at the forefront, powering through epic leads on “Black” and “Alive.” And Vedder seemed to be having the time of his life as he led the crowd in one sing-along after another.

“Sacramento!” Vedder shouted out to the packed arena. “Thank you very much for bringing it tonight.”
