Had a great time seeing an listening to Cypress Hill at the show. They looked and sounded great musically and lyrically! The only issue was it seemed Madball was rushed and didn't really get to play many of their classic songs because of the time constraints and Cypress Hills intro before any of their music was even played was longer than Madballs while set! That was a shame because Madball really could've had an opportunity to showcase they're really good stuff and got the crowd even more pumped for Cypress Hill and likewise afforded Cypress Hills fans to a more diverse enjoyable musically crossover experience.

The show was amazing despite there being very little or no moshing at all. I've seen Cypress Hill many times before and the crowd wasn't as hype as other times. Drinks prices are ridiculous at this particular venue. Regardless I would come see Cypress Hill again and again.
I saw Cypress Hill 3 times back from around '93-'01, & they were unbelievably unbelievable!! I only love & worship them even more. Each & every time I saw 'em I got stoned righteously before every concert so I could see & hear the music exactly how it was meant to be heard. I loved 'em the first time I ever heard 'em & my love for 'em has only continued to grow & get even better as the years go by!!!!!

Ice Cube, Cypress Hill & The Game Announce Massive Australian Tour
Ice Cube celebrates the 30th anniversary of 'Lethal Injection' with his biggest shows in Australia to date.
90s hip-hop music is alive and well - Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, and The Game are heading to Australia in March 2023 for a run of arena shows.
The fun kicks off on Thursday, 23 March, at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, then heads to Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, and Brisbane Entertainment Centre in a mega five-day stint. The three iconic acts will bring large-scale, next-level production to our stages.
Born O'Shea Jackson Sr and professionally known as Ice Cube, the American rapper, actor, and filmmaker has enjoyed success and adoration over a 36-year entertainment career. H is lyrics on N.W.A 's 1988 album Straight Outta Compton were crucial in gangsta rap's widespread popularity. His politically-driven solo records, AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted , Death Certificate , and The Predator, are now iconic. Ice Cube was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2016 as a member of N.W.A.
Ice Cube made Australian history in 2018, becoming the first rapper to headline the Sydney Opera House. His return in 2023 marks his first time playing in the country since that show and lines up with the 30th anniversary of his 1993 album, Lethal Injection.
" I love performing in Australia. It's been four long years since my last visit, and I can't wait to return for a couple of history-making shows in 2023," Ice Cube revealed.
Cypress Hill are renowned for their epic stage show. The California rap group are genre-shifting chameleons and performed thousands of shows when rappers struggled to get booked and crucially helped pave the way for rappers to use Spanish in their rhymes.
Don't miss a beat with our FREE daily newsletter
Cypress Hill has a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, sold over 9 million albums, and received three Grammy nominations. 2023 will be 30 years since the crew released their album, Black Sunday , which features Hits from the Bong and I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That.
Rounding out the lineup is double-platinum artist The Game. Born Jayceon Terrell Taylor, Game emerged in the early 2000s with one of the rawest voices on the West Coast scene, combining intense autobiographical narratives and a creatively referential approach to hip-hop that has justified his stage name.
More exciting still, the Australian shows will be joined by local acts to be announced.
The presale for the tour starts on Tuesday, 22 November, at 2 pm local time until Wednesday, 23 November, at 1 pm, and the general sale is from Wednesday, 23 November, at 2 pm local. All are available at the link HERE . Ticket buyers can sign up to access the exclusive MJR presale HERE .

Live Review: Ice Cube, Cypress Hill and AB Original rock Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (26.03.23)
- March 27, 2023
- Live Reviews
Ice Cube’s reputation as one of the signature artists of hip hop and an architect of the culture is not up for debate. The famously barbed and politically-charged emcee played a significant part in solidifying hip-hop as a vehicle for sweeping cultural commentary, change and documentation throughout the 90s. Hence, an Ice Cube concert is more than just another headline gig from a legendary Golden Era rapper.
It’s an insightful look into the career of a man who has pushed hip-hop in necessary and dramatic ways. Much like Kanye West, JAY Z, Eminem or fellow NWA founder Dr Dre, Cube is responsible for a large slice of DNA that has gone on to influence rappers throughout history.
Case in point: Briggs.
The Indigenous rapper has long been seen as lightning rode and a fierce commentator on some of Australia’s most important cultural conversations. Along with equally adept emcee Trials, they form the first support act of the evening: AB Original.
Truth by told, I wasn’t too excited by The Game’s inclusion on this line up of hip hop legends, so AB Original stepping in to replace the last-minute drop-out was some nice news. The comparison I made between Briggs and Ice Cube is no accident, and this is felt most heavily with the caustic “Bad Apples,” contextualising pain and rebellion in the face of unscrupulous authorities and oppression. Briggs’ delivery is forceful and completely appropriate for the tune’s seismic riff, matching the pace of AB’s other bangers which fit well with Cube’s foray – we’re talking the West Coast inspired bounce of “January 26” to the volcanic thump of “2 Black 2 Strong.”
Then it was on to Cypress Hill, a group that could have easily headlined the entire night based on reputation alone. Much like Cube, Cypress Hill have been out to Australia many times before and has always managed to put on muscular, memorable shows that quash any cries of irrelevancy.
Yes, the pioneering South Gate locals may lack the star power they once embodied but there’s no mistaking their vitality once loud, stadium-worthy jams like “Rock Superstar” and “Insane In The Brain” are elevated by a tight live band who know exactly how to fuse hip hop with big, powerful rock.
As for Cube. The headliner didn’t pull one of those overly indulgent moves and rely too heavily on medleys or fill the set list with Mount Rushmore songs (although a few from the excellent supergroup album would have gone a long way). Instead, Cube gave us a very greatest hits set, much like he did the past few times I’ve seen him out here.
And that says a lot.
For an artist to really sync with their legacy and enjoy performing old songs for new fans is really rare to see. Cube relishes in his older material in a way a hardcore fan would be immensely satisfied with. Songs like “Wicked” and “What Can I Do?” were pleasant surprises, as was “Friday” and racous opener “Natural Born Killaz.”
The weakest moments were the more mainstream ones. “Why We Thugs” was always one of Cube’s weakest hits and only really popular amongst those who would ride around Parramatta blasting “How We Do” in the mid-2000s, wearing gang colours and awkwardly throwing up sets despite having never even set foot in L.A. “You Can Do It,” as timeless as it is, felt squashed towards the end of the set and more obligatory than anything else. The absence of anything from Cube’s iconic debut album, AmeriKKKas Most Wanted was defeating and not even signature song “The N**ga Ya Love To Hate” was on the set list.
There were others. “Gangster Rap Made Me Do It” represents Cube in his more tired years, as does the lazy “Aint Got No Haters.” These are songs which could have made way for some of the aforementioned or deeper cuts like “When Will They Shoot?” or “I Rep That West” (one of the better songs from his latter career).
Furthermore, although it has been 30 years since Lethal Injection , only three songs from Cube’s fourth studio album were included on the set list. There was “Bop Gun” of course and also “You Know How We Do It” and “What Can I Do?” I imagine the latter wouldn’t have made the cut if its album wasn’t celebrating a milestone, but the other two are signature Cube songs. I would have imagined some deeper cuts from the album like “Down For Whatever” or “Ghetto Bird.”
And yet, it’s hard not to be completely satisfied with Cube’s set. This is a man who’s always going to be welcome on stage by any discerning hip hop fan, whether that at the more intimate Sydney Opera House or the overbearing Qudos Bank Arena.

They’ll be teaming up to bring four massive arena shows to Melbourne , Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane in March 2023; fans can expect an explosive show packed with the iconic and timeless rhymes they all know and love.
O’Shea Jackson Sr., AKA Ice Cube, is an American rapper, actor, filmmaker, and one of the most influential names in hip hop, His lyrics on N.W.A ‘s 1988 album Straight Outta Compton were instrumental in gangsta rap becoming popular around the world, including the iconic hit nwa’s fuck tha police and his politically-driven solo albums AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, Death Certificate, and The Predator gained critical and commercial success. In addition to his perhaps equally iconic career in film, Ice Cube’s musical victories saw him inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the group N.W.A. in 2016.

Arts & entertainment, design & style, travel & leisure, search concrete playground, ice cube, cypress hill and the game are teaming up for a huge 2023 australian tour.
Heading to Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane, this is a 90s and 00s hip hop and rap fan's dream come true.
Add three more names to the hefty list of big music stars heading Australia's way in 2023: Ice Cube, Cypress Hill and The Game. In what's basically a 90s and 00s hip hop and rap fan's dream come true, the trio are teaming up on the same bill for an Aussie arena tour, hitting stages Down Under in autumn.
This isn't just any old nostalgia-dripping tour, either. It'll also mark the 30th anniversary of two influential albums: Ice Cube's Lethal Injection and Cypress Hill's Black Sunday . The former was the N.W.A member's fourth solo release, and included singles 'Really Doe', 'You Know How We Do It' and 'Bop Gun (One Nation)', while the latter gave the world 'Insane in the Brain', 'Hits from the Bong', 'When the Shit Goes Down' and 'I Ain't Goin' Out Like That'.
Expect to hear plenty of those songs get a whirl in late March — and plenty more — starting at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, then jumping to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
For Ice Cube, the tour marks his first visit to Australia since 2018, when he became the first-ever rap artist to headline at the Sydney Opera House.
"I love performing in Australia. It's been four long years since my last visit and I can't wait to return for a couple of history-making shows in 2023," said the rapper, aka O'Shea Jackson Sr (and yes, his son O'Shea Jackson Jr did play him in N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton ).
Ice Cube and Cypress Hill will be joined by The Game, who came to fame in the 00s in the West Coast scene. The US talents will also feature Aussie talent in support, with exactly who else will take to the stage yet to be announced.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A club professional played like he fit right in with the tour pros on Thursday in the PGA Championship. No, it wasn’t Michael Block.
Jeremy Wells made a 15-foot birdie putt on the 13th hole, got a tough par on the 266-yard 14th and then nearly holed out from the 15th fairway, the ball settling inches away from the cup.
“A nice stretch of 3-3-3 down there at the bottom of the hill, and that’s when I kind of knew it was a special day,” he said.
He tapped in for his fourth birdie and a round of 2-under 69, a respectable start for the PGA director of player development at Cypress Lake in Fort Myers, Florida.
It certainly beat his debut from last year at Oak Hill.
For starters, Oak Hill was tighter and tougher than the soft conditions at Valhalla. It also was his first time on such a big stage.
“I was probably fairly tired when I showed up at Oak Hill last year,” he said. “Four full 18-hole practice rounds later, maybe I overdid it. I had a blast, but for us when you come to one of these, you never know if you’re going to play in one again, right. No regrets from that.”
So he showed up at Valhalla with a plan and a little more discipline. He also cashed in on what Wells considered a fortuitous moment on the eve of the championship. He was waiting to tee off when he managed to sneak his way in with Max Homa and Scottie Scheffler.
“I’m on the first tee today, got like 12 people watching and I know them all,” Wells said. “Yesterday it was the real deal. To have that experience yesterday, to be so heightened and so nervous in a practice round, and I hit it fine. I survived.”
And he thrived on Thursday, became the second club pro in the past 20 years to break 70 in the first round of the PGA Championship. The other was Bob Sowards, who opened with a 69 at Atlanta Athletic Club. Sowards wound up missing the cut.
Block, of course, rose to sudden fame at Oak Hill when he made a hole-in-one and saved par with a brilliant up-and-down on the final hole to tie for 15th. That earned him a spot for Valhalla, giving this championship 21 club pros.
Block made a quadruple-bogey 8 on his second hole without hitting into a hazard and already was 5 over through two holes. He limited the damage from there and opened with a 76.
CALM KOEPKA
Defending champion Brooks Koepka’s bid for a fourth Wannamaker Trophy started with a tidy and largely drama-free 4-under 67, just the way he prefers it.
Koepka, looking to join Tiger Woods as the only players to win consecutive PGA Championships twice, largely avoided mistakes and finished with a flourish thanks to a break at the par-5 seventh after his 324-yard drive to the left fairway (there are two to choose from at the seventh) skidded into the first cut of rough.
When Koepka set up for his second shot, he was standing on a sprinkler head. He was awarded relief, dropped in the fairway then floated a 6-iron to 3 feet that he tapped in for eagle. He followed by draining a 37-foot birdie putt on the par-3 eighth to put him well within striking distance.
A year ago at Oak Hill Koepka was six shots off the pace after Thursday before racing to a two-shot victory. So while Xander Schauffele set a record by starting with a 9-under 62, Koepka isn’t exactly panicking.
“Pretty much for the first three days, I’m just trying to hit the center of the greens and get out of there,” he said. “If you pull one like I did on 7 and hit it close, it’s great.”
Xander Schauffele set the PGA Championship record with a 62 for a three-shot lead, making him the 12th player in major championship history to open with a 63 or lower.
None of those players had an 18-hole lead larger than three shots. Only three of them — Jack Nicklaus in the 1980 U.S. Open at Baltusrol, Raymond Floyd in the 1982 PGA Championship at Southern Hills and Brooks Koepka in the 2019 PGA Championship at Bethpage Black — went on to win.
Floyd also had a three-shot lead in 1982. Phil Mickelson had a three-shot lead at Royal Troon in the 2016 British Open when he shot 63, only to lose a fabulous duel with Henrik Stenson when the Swede closed with a 63.
Schauffele spoke from experience when he said it was only one day. He and Rickie Fowler each shot 62 in the first round of the U.S. Open last year at Los Angeles Country Club. Fowler tied for fifth. Schauffele tied for 10th.
THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
The PGA Championship is starting to get used to a fast start.
Scottie Scheffler began the championship by holing out for eagle on the first hole he played Thursday at Valhalla. That was the third straight year in the PGA that someone started his round with an eagle on a par 4.
A year ago, Scott Stallings holed out from the 10th fairway at Oak Hill. The year before, club pro Jesse Mueller holed out for eagle on the par-4 10th hole at Southern Hills.
Stallings and Mueller ended up missing the cut. That’s not a good omen for Scheffler, except that he’s the No. 1 player in the world and the Masters champion.
