Good morning

Good evening

"There's nowhere quite like Paris and it's amazing to watch our guests light up when they see bucket list icons like the Eiffel Tower in real life. Don't forget to slow down and savour the freshly baked pastries from the local boulangerie and mingle with the locals in the sidewalk cafés and markets."

Travel Director

You’ll discover masterpieces like the Mona Lisa with your Local Specialist and enjoy the quiet atmosphere without the crowds. Simply magical.

Visit the remarkable church of Saint-Sulpice

Paris is full of spectacular architecture, and the church of Saint-Sulpice may be one of the best. This medieval cathedral is the second-largest church in the city and your Paris travel guide will show you around the stunning facades, stained glass windows, impressive fountains, unique sundial, and the breathtaking organ, one of the largest in the world.

Enjoy a leisurely cruise along the River Seine

As the scenic centrepiece of Paris, you can’t miss exploring the iconic River Seine. We’ll wander along the pretty riverbank by day and take you on a special Seine cruise by night, when the City of Light is illuminated in twinkling lights. Look out for icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame, and relax as you drift along this enchanting river.

Explore the Latin Quarter of Paris

When you travel Paris with Trafalgar, you’ll join a Local Specialist to discover the Latin Quarter, the city’s epicentre of culture, learning and creativity. See the ancient Sorbonne University, one of the world’s first universities, soak up the vibrant atmosphere of this student hotspot, and perhaps even stop by the legendary Shakespeare and Co bookstore.

Experience a traditional Parisian Cabaret

You’ve probably seen the Parisian Cabaret in dozens of movies and photos, but there’s nothing quite like experiencing the real thing. We’ll take you to the world-famous Moulin Rouge Cabaret, where you’ll enjoy dinner, champagne and a dazzling show of 60 dancers and over 1,000 costumes, for an incredible evening you’ll never forget.

Our top 5 things to do in Paris

With so many incredible Paris attractions to choose from, we’ll show you the very best things to do in Paris, from the beautiful Saint-Sulpice to the original Parisian cabaret.

Musée Rodin

Located just steps away from the Eiffel Tower, you can’t miss the spectacular Musée Rodin. Founded in 1916 by Auguste Rodin himself, the museum features the artist’s incredible sculptures within an 18th-century rocco mansion and a stunning three-hectare garden, along with his personal collection of paintings, photographs and ancient artefacts.

Paris Opera & Palais Garnier

If you want to experience the height of Parisian opulence, it’s got to be the Palais Garnier. This extraordinary building is a 1,979-seat opera house constructed in the late 19th-century, and is renowned as the setting for The Phantom of the Opera. Today you can discover its magnificent treasures or even spend a glitzy night at the opera or ballet.

Grand Palais

Located right across from the Champs-Élysées, the Grand Palais is an icon of Paris with its giant glass ceiling and Beaux-Arts style architecture. Its interior is even more thrilling, with national art galleries, science museums and exhibition halls all held under the famous dome, and you can easily spend a day or two here.

Best museums in Paris

When you travel Paris with Trafalgar, we’ll make sure you get your fill of the best Paris museums, from the iconic Louvre to the magnificent Opéra Garnier.

Ratatouille

Ratatouille is the ultimate French vegetarian dish, loved by all for its heartwarming local flavors. It’s essentially a vegetable stew, made with a rich tomato sauce and a rainbow of veggies like zucchini, eggplant and squash, and herbs like basil, garlic and thyme. One bite and you’ll fall in love with the home-cooked ratatouille of Paris.

One of France’s most famous recipes, Coq au Vin features wine-braised chicken served alongside ingredients like mushrooms and bacon. Across the country you will try many regional versions of this comforting dish, which translates fittingly to “rooster/cock with wine”.

French cuisine celebrates both savory and sweet ingredients, not just in the form of croissants. Find true street-food joy in the popular dessert of crêpes, with strawberries, Nutella, bananas and lemon curd just some of the toppings loved by locals and travelers alike. Or, try the national specialty crêpes Suzette with orange zest and caramelized butter.

Best food in Paris

Our Paris holidays are filled with the legendary Parisian cuisine, and we’ll show you all the best places to try your French favorites from fresh croissants to delicate desserts.

We enjoyed our time in Paris. Johnathan was an exceptional tour guide. His thoughtful approach to Normandy was wonderful. The hotel was not up to Marriott standards. Room was dusty and thoughtlessly cleaned. The location was good and the bus was in great shape.

Amsterdam and Paris

Had a lifetime experience in the beautiful cities of Amsterdam, Brussels, Bruges and Paris. The tour guides were informative and warm and the entire itinerary was well planned. Although the time constraint factor is always there, so doing a slight homework before the trip regarding priority visits and must do activities, would be helpful in making the most out of the breaks provided by the operator as obviously they are managing large tourist groups. Special thanks to Europamundo team and Tourradar for the brilliant time!

Paris , Oh La La! | 5 Days Tour

Paris , Oh La La! | 5 Days

I was very pleased with all aspects of my trip ie. hotel, tour guides and transportation provides for the excursions as well as my driver to the airport on my date of departure. My only compliant is with the transportation from the airport on the date of my arrival since he left because I wasn’t able to make it to the arrival lounge within an hour for meetup because of the time it took from departing the plane, going through customs and waiting on my baggage. The driver did try to contact me but it was over WhatsApp and do t receive notifications since I rarely if ever use that app and Eskapas didn’t let me know to expect communications through that app. Other than the initial dissatisfaction with that and having to get other transportation as well as an added expense for an Uber I was very satisfied with the rest of the experience.

3-day Guided Normandy : D Day Beaches, Mont Saint-michel And Loire Valley Chateaux From Paris Tour

3-day Guided Normandy : D Day Beaches, Mont Saint-michel And Loire Valley Chateaux From Paris

This was an amazing 3 day tour. Every day just got better and it was the right amount of sightseeing each day. The Chateaux’s were definitely my favourite part of the trip plus of course Mont-Saint-Michel! Leila our guide scores an 11/10. She was really what made the trip so special. Her diligence in keeping us to a fairly strict timetable was worth it so we didn’t miss our scheduled sightseeing. Truly a great trip to see the the Normandy beaches and explore some spectacular sights of France’s history. I couldn’t finish the review without a shout out to our driver “Brian”. It was the cherry on the top to an unforgettable experience ????

What people love about Paris Tours

It was a really good experience. This is my second trip with Eskapas. The first one was a small group tour fully escorted in Italy and it was wonderful. This trip is independent and you are joining at the meeting point to daily group ours. If you have send of orientation, it may be difficult so I recommend yo to take a taxi to reach out to the meeting points. Usually it costs 15-20Euro. The company upgraded our hotel to New Hotel Le Voltaire 4* ,, located in 11th Arrondissement, close to Bastille. It is a correct one, decent breakfast. Don't miss Cimetiere du Pere-Lachaise which is close proximity.
It was a very comfortable and enjoyable cruise. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. The fellow passengers were very friendly and sociable which makes the whole cruise line one big happy family.
Everything about this tour was excellent. The planned trips, the optional trips, the airport transfers, the guides were all top notch. We packed a lot into a week yet, had enough free time. Everything was well planned and kept to schedule. Bruno, our tour guide was charming and informative and kept us on track. Marco our coach drive was a safe and skilled driver. The specialist guides for certain excursions were topnotch. Bruno coordinated all the guides, driver, and venue hosts with efficiency. It was a trip of my dreams for my granddaughter and myself!

While in Paris you will have the choice between two activities. First, you can choose to visit the awe-inspiring Sacré-Coeur Basilica, the second highest point of the city after the Eiffel Tower, and enjoy free time to explore the area. Or, you can choose to Learn about the neighborhood’s famous artists and writers at the Musée de Montmartre, a historic 17th century house that gives you a glimpse into the artistic side of town

Prolong your stay in the French capital with a 2-night hosted post extension. Step back in time during a locally guided walking tour centered on the French Revolution, enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Paris as you please, indulge in the local cuisine during an included dinner at a local Brasserie and slide into the backseat of a vintage retro car to cruise along chic boulevards peering up at the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe from the car’s open roof.

  • Paris - Extension Begins
  • This morning, step back in time during a walking tour centered on the French Revolution. Your expert guide evokes the shadows of Marie Antoinette and Robespierre as you journey back to the tumultuous years of 1789-1799. Visit landmarks such as Place de la Bastille (where the infamous prison once stood) and Place de la Concorde where the revolutionary government erected a guillotine in the square (and where King Louis XVI was executed on 21 January 1793). The afternoon is yours to explore more of the French capital independently. Perhaps you’ll stroll through the Beaubourg neighborhood and take in the whimsical moving fountain of the Centre Pompidou for Contemporary Art. Dedicated to the former French President Georges Pompidou, this building represents the first major example of 'inside-out' architecture with its structural, mechanical and circulation systems exposed on the exterior of the building. Today this eclectic building synthetizes the blend of tradition and innovation that distinguishes Paris.
  • The day is yours to explore more of the French capital on your own. Perhaps you’ll wander over to the Left Bank of the Seine River and plunge into the bohemian atmosphere of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood and the Latin Quarter. Or visit one of the city’s iconic museums, such as the highly acclaimed Musée D’Orsay. The former railroad station now houses some of the world’s best impressionist art. This evening, celebrate the end of your extended stay in Paris with dinner in a local brasserie* before sliding into the backseat of a vintage retro car, cruising through the chic boulevards and peering up at the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe from the car’s open roof.
  • Paris - Depart for Home
  • Wish France adieu as you return home.

Live the Parisian life in style as you join your Tour Manager on a captivating excursion to the Opera District. Take advantage of an immersive experience with Parisian luxury and peruse famous name brand stores to embrace the glam of haute couture fashion. Pass by the stunning opera house of Palais Garnier before getting a glimpse into the history of perfume making at Fragonard Museum. Indulge your senses and scan the ancient artisan bottles, learning about the art of creating the perfect scent. A specialist will help you choose your own cologne, providing an irreplaceable souvenir from your Parisian getaway. Continue on to the famous Galeries Lafayette – a well-known French department store that features a mesmerizing stained glass dome. You might even be able to get a closer look at the dome on the glass skywalk, which reaches out directly below the center of the dome. Cap off the adventure with a trip to the rooftop to admire the city from above. With a drink in hand, marvel at the breathtaking views of the Opera House & Eiffel tower. Enjoy free time to explore the neighborhood and shop before heading back to the hotel by metro.

Join us for a spectacular evening in one of Paris’s most beloved institutions, the famous Paradis Latin. Situated in a building associated with Napoleon and rebuilt by Gustav Eiffel himself, the Paradis has been running here since 1889. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner with wine, then bring on the champagne and let the show commence!

Take a walk down to the Ile de la Cité to snap a picture of the façade of the awe-inspiring Notre Dame.

There’s so much to see and experience on our trips to Paris.

If you’re looking to shop, stroll along the Champs Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe and duck into the Galeries Lafayette to pick up some stylish souvenirs.

No Paris trip is complete without tasting the French classics: crêpes, croissants, and baguettes. Apart from those, you’ll want to stop at a brasserie for a croque monsieur, the French version of a ham and cheese sandwich.

Paris is divided into 20 districts, or arrondissements—designations that date back to the French Revolution. “We protest against the erection of this useless and monstrous Eiffel Tower” was actually written in reaction to France’s most iconic monument in 1894. People were actually outraged by how ugly it was. Today, this 1,063-foot iron lattice tower still stands and attracts 7,000,000 visitors each year.

The long lines can be intimidating, and a visit is considered an all-day event. Those who stand in line and those who don’t. Which do you want to be?

The Best Private Tours of Musée d’Orsay

When people think of Paris, they tend to think of the Louvre and Eiffel Tower, and for good reason. Both attractions are epic! That said, the Musée d’Orsay would be the number one museum in almost any other city on Earth if it wasn’t in Paris.

1. Private Musée d’Orsay Tour with Skip-the-Line Tickets

tour travel paris

While taking a private tour of any museum is a luxury, a private tour of Musée d’Orsay is even more amazing. Why? The museum doesn’t get the same crowds as the Louvre, and the paintings demand an explanation. They are all very beautiful and recognizable, but Impressionism is best explained through a lens into the artist’s life—something that a local tour guide does best in an intimate experience like a private tour. See the tour itinerary, price, and description.

1. Castles and Wine Tastings in the Loire Valley Day Trip

tour travel paris

One of my favorite things to do in Europe is explore the countryside. This is because the architecture is amazing, and the agriculture is heavily focused on wine, which together makes for a beautiful experience. I also love having countryside lunches. They tend to be hearty, warm, and full of wine!

The Loire Valley is famous for castles and amazing dry white wines.

Our day trip to the Loire Valley not only explores an amazing castle but also includes a stop at a vineyard for a wine tasting. It will make for an incredible memory you will hold dear for the rest of your days!

2. Pay Tribute To D-Day at Normandy Beach

omaha beach les braves

From “Saving Private Ryan” to stories from our ancestors, Normandy is famous for the great sacrifices of brave men in the face of tyranny. Today, you can visit different beaches from Omaha to Pointe du Hoc to pay respects. The beaches of Normandy, where World War II was viciously fought, have been kept as it was, down to bullet holes, craters, and cannon shells.

Our Normandy day trip of D-Day landing beaches visits Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and even a Cider brewery—the region’s specialty. This day trip is most definitely long—14 hours in total—but if you have an extra day and are passionate about WWII, it’s well worth the time.

3. Explore the Champagne Region on a Day Trip

tour travel paris

Should you be looking for a day trip to remember—and you’re a fan of champagne—then a trip to the Champagne region is a must. The French countryside is waiting to take you on a culinary journey from wine cellars to champagne houses and a tasty spot for lunch.

This tour includes stops in the cities of Reims and Épernay, where you can see the famous Reims cathedral and explore Dom Perignon’s final resting place in the Benedictine monastery in Épernay. Your day in the countryside will be unforgettable.

Is it worth it to get a tour guide, though?

' data-src=

November 8, 2022

We might be biased, but it really is. You can either wander these amazing locations or monuments and not really know what’s so significant (or that you just passed the first painting by a world-famous painter), or you can learn so many incredible details and stories about these places and art. Tour guides truly do elevate your experience and make it more memorable.

Hello Brie, yeah, that makes sense. I also hate getting lost 😀 I have been looking around on your tours, and it seems that they are not customizable? Something like this https://gowithguide.com/france/paris

December 28, 2022

Our private tours can be customized within the museum or locations it already includes. So for instance, if you want more time in the Greek sculptures than in a room of impressionism, just let your guide know.

“The tour went very well and according to plan. Our guide was very good and an amazing city driver. He flowed his car through the insane traffic at Arc de Triomphe without a scratch, steering masterfully and barely using the brakes! I would not have believed it possible! We saw all the sites on the list, with useful commentary by our guide. Our Boat tour was highly enjoyable as well! The staff knows how to make everyone happy, the food was very good and the scenery was quite interesting. Excellent value for money spent” – Claude Meares, Manual Wheelchair User.

Can Paris live up to the hype? Find out on a walking tour of its gilded past

Weave between late-19th-century monuments on urban walking tours to learn about this defining era — and why it’s gilded with such intense nostalgia.

Of all the cities in the world, Paris is most afflicted by its own mythology. For many travellers, including the time-hopping protagonist of Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris (2011), the allure of the city lies in its ability to evoke the charms of a bygone era. The romanticisation that ensues inevitably causes some to come unstuck, of course: the term ‘Paris Syndrome’ was coined in the 1980s for Japanese travellers sent spiralling into a state of psychosis by the collision of reality with their oversaturated expectations of the City of Light.

Undeterred, I’ve come to Paris to unpack what I can of the belle époque — a golden age of bohemia, optimism and technological progress that flourished in the peaceful years between 1871 and the start of the First World War. Impressionism was born; cinema invented; the can-can made popular in louche theatres like the Moulin Rouge. Was it a truly romantic era, or just romanticised? And can it be recaptured?

My first insights come from Spanish-born Ana Gimena, who does little to dispel my nostalgia when I meet her on the magnificent steps of the Petit Palais, built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle world fair and now an art museum. Regally costumed in a swishing skirt, lace bodice and a bonnet sprouting ostrich feathers, the historical tour guide turns every head. “If I were in a time machine, I wouldn’t hesitate: I’d come right back for the Exposition Universelle,” she says, neatly folding her gloves into her bag as we enter the museum.

A woman dressed in similar clothing to that worn of Parisian women in during the 1900s

The trapped-in-time character Ana plays for the public is wild about the world fair — an era-defining exhibition held at the height of the art nouveau period, for which the Petit Palais, Grand Palais and Pont Alexandre III bridge were constructed under the supervision of architect Charles Girault. The magnificent Musée d’Orsay, on the Left Bank of the Seine, and Galeries Lafayette, on Boulevard Haussmann, are also products of this period.

“People would have seen electricity for the first time; engines, moving pictures, flying machines, the Metro. Imagine!” she says breathlessly. “Over 50 million people came to Paris when the population of the whole country was just 39 million. I don’t think the Olympics will compare.”

Along with Girault, famous Frenchmen making their mark on the city in these years included engineer Gustav Eiffel, artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and composer Claude Debussy — luminaries whose graves can be visited in the city’s venerable cemeteries. But, crucially for Ana, this was a time when women started to shape public life.

We stand in front of a towering oil painting of actress and courtesan Sarah Bernhardt reclined exotically on cushions, her sinewy figure draped in satin, her face a study in bemusement. “The ultimate celebrity of the belle époque,” Ana says. “Men wanted her; women copied her fashion.” Christian virtues were still extolled by the ruling classes, however, and in a period where prostitution among the lower classes skyrocketed, her social capital was the exception rather than the rule. “Society was double-edged,” Ana says, checking the antique pocket watch pinned to her waist and donning her gloves to leave. “We must acknowledge the bad of the time, too.”

It’s easy enough to slip back in time in Paris; love and deference have been poured into preserving pockets of history in every quarter. For lunch, I drop into Bouillon Chartier, in the ninth arrondissement, a workers’ bistro built with breathtaking flamboyance in 1896, where uniformed waiters still tally the bill on the tablecloth. But to dine à la belle époque, I could have just as easily gone to Le Train Bleu or Bofinger — or a dozen more restaurants set in aspic.

I spend the evening in nearby Pigalle, home to Paris’s now-trendy red-light district, where the sumptuous four-star Hôtel Rochechouart, renovated in 2020 to its original Jazz Age splendour, hosts the great and the good of Paris. Think: foie gras in the classically French bistro; absinthe cocktails at the rooftop bar; and swaying the night away at Le Mikado Dancing, the underground speakeasy. The French windows in my suite open onto a view of the Sacré-Cœur, glowing atop Montmartre; down below, the neon lights of Boulevard de Clichy’s sex shops twinkle provocatively.

The next morning, I rendezvous with Julie Marangé, founder of Feminists in the City walking tours, and we head towards the Moulin Rouge, one of the most culturally loaded legacies of the belle époque. “Some historians describe the period as France’s ‘Golden Age of Prostitution’,” says Julie. “But to say there was anything ‘golden’ about this period for women tells you everything you need to know about who’s been writing history so far.”

Learning the stories of embattled and half-forgotten female figures is one of the appeals of the Visit Montmartre with Hysterical Feminists tour — that, and seeing Julie attempt to demonstrate a few can-can kicks. “There’s so much more symbolism and subversion to the dance than people know,” says Julie. “It speaks of sexual liberation and independence, of guns and self-pleasure.”

Asked to name French artists of the early 20th century, most people might say Claude Monet, Edgar Degas or Pierre-Auguste Renoir, all of whom kept studios in the vertiginous alleys of Montmartre. But few today would identify the Moulin Rouge’s sell-out headliner, the rags-to-riches-to-rags-again dancer Louise ‘La Goulue’ Weber, who formalised the can-can quadrille. Julie also extols the risqué performance art of the dancer and clown Cha-U-Kao and the novelist and mime Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, both of whom faced censure by expressing their love for women openly.

I’m seeing Paris in a new light, my guides helping solidify its reputation for great art and dynamic social progress, while undermining any attempt to simplify or sugar-coat the belle époque. Would I get in a time machine? With the era’s rich architectural and cultural legacy so entwined with the present day, perhaps there’s no need.

Taylor Swift sings 'The Alchemy' as Travis Kelce attends Eras Tour in Paris

tour travel paris

PARIS — Taylor Swift sang "The Alchemy" as part of her acoustic set of surprise songs during Sunday's Eras Tour show with boyfriend Travis Kelce in attendance. Several football metaphors in the song have led fans to believe Swift wrote it about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

"Can you believe this is the 87th show?" Swift asked during her acoustic set in La Défense Arena. Kelce wears No. 87. She then played a mashup on guitar of "The Alchemy" from her new album "The Tortured Poets Department" with "Treacherous" from "Red."

Kelce stood in his box as Swift glanced up at him and the crowd looked back and forth between the two.

"This happens once every few lifetimes," Swift sang. "These chemicals hit me like white wine.”

The crowd roared.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

Kelce joined 40,000-plus fans for the fourth and final night of Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour in Paris. He watched from a box seat alongside actor Bradley Cooper, super model Gigi Hadid and rock star Lenny Kravitz.

The concert marks the fifth time Kelce has appeared at the tour since the couple went public last year. His first stop was Buenos Aires, Argentina, followed by Sydney, Australia, and two nights in Singapore . Swift has changed the “Karma” lyrics to "guy on the Chiefs" every time Kelce has cheered her on from the sidelines.

Kelce hadn’t seen the new set list live since Swift switched up the eras and added her 11th era, “ The Tortured Poets Department .” The singer-songwriter said she’s been working on the changes for 8-9 months (since last fall).

Hadid has famously been a member of Swift's squad for years now and has been dating Cooper for several months.

Other celebrities spotted in the crowd included Grey's Anatomy actor Jessica Capshaw and singer Christina Milian.

Her next stop is Stockholm, Sweden, as she continues the European leg of the tour.

See Taylor Swift Perform ‘Fortnight,’ ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ at The Eras Tour in Paris

By Maya Georgi

Maya Georgi

The Chairman is here, and she’s brought her typewriter. Taylor Swift has come straight from The Tortured Poets Department to the Paris La Defense Arena. On the opening night of the European leg of The Eras Tour in Paris, France, Swift debuted live versions of her latest double album release: The Tortured Poets Department and The Tortured Poets Department:The Anthology .

In a dramatic shift after the 1989 set, Swift reemerged onstage in a white gown straight from the “Fortnight” music video to usher in a whole new era to The Eras Tour. It’s truly tortured with seven new songs. The TTPD era opened with “But Daddy I Love Him,” before abruptly switching into “So High School” for the outro. The pop star was a full blown mad woman levitating over the stage for “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” which was followed by a mash-up of “Down Bad” and “Fortnight.” Next, Swift was surrounded by a somber marching band for “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”

The additional era was not the only change to The Era’s Tour set list. Before Swift took the stage, eagle-eyed fans noticed the addition of TTPD lyrics from the title track and “The Alchemy” in the opening mash-up intro. The eras correlating to each album were also switched around, with Red and Speak Now sets coming after the Lover and before Folklore and Evermore. Swift also cut plenty of songs from the set list, including “The Archer,” “Long Live,” “‘Tis the Damn Season,” “Tolerate It,” “The 1,” and “The Last Great American Dynasty.”

There were also some notable outfit changes from a new pink and orange sparkling bodysuit for Lover to a different T-shirt for the Red era that cryptically donned the message “This Is Not Taylor’s Version.”

2024 acm awards: the complete winners list, billie eilish releases highly-anticipated third studio album 'hit me hard and soft', chris stapleton and dua lipa deliver super secret duet at 2024 acm awards.

Fans began speculating about how The Tortured Poets Department would be included in Swift’s upcoming tour dates since double album’s release on April 19. Theories swirled as soon as the pop star shared a video of tour rehearsals a “fortnight” before the show in Paris, which seemed to include new stage sets and choreography.

As Swift said during the Arlington, Texas stop of the The Eras Tour, “Let it be said about the  Eras Tour,  we’re tricksy. That’s what we are [and] we enjoy a good, healthy set list hijinks.”

Taylor Swift Debuted Brand-New Costumes During Her First Eras Tour Show in Paris

And that's not the only change she made.

tour travel paris

Getty Images

It's hard to count the ways in which Taylor Swift's Eras Tour broke records. There's the innovative format (which took fans on a winding recap of her career, reliving hit after hit and the years they dominated the radio) plus the show's status as the highest-grossing tour in history, having brought in over $1 billion by the end of 2023. Maybe most indicative of its staying power is the fact that it's still making headlines. On May 9, 2024, over a year after the tour began, Swift gave her first performance following the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, in Paris. After much fan speculation, she revealed a dozen dazzling updates to the show.

Here are all the new outfits, song changes, and set details.

A New Look for the Lover Era

JULIEN DE ROSA/Getty Images

The pop star opened the tour in a brand-new orange and red bodysuit. In past iterations of the tour, she wore a similar costume in shades of pink and blue.

The Intro Now Includes Samples of TTPD

Before Swift enters the stage at each show, an opening track plays with samples of songs from each era, giving guests a taste of what's to come. During her May 9 show in Paris, a new intro played including snippets from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department .

A New Fearless Costume

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty Images

The singer wore a new silver and black dress for the Fearless portion of the set, referencing a similar dress she wore on her original Fearless tour in 2009.

A New Era Dedicated to 'The Tortured Poets Department'

New album, new era. Swift performed the songs 'But Daddy I Love Him," "Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?", "Fortnight," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," and "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" in a new white dress decorated with text, almost like the pages of a book. She also included short samples of "So High School" and "Down Bad."

The section included noteworthy new choreography. Just before performing I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, Swift lay limp like a rag doll while dancers in top hats dressed her up to the tune of circus music. They then push her forward onto the stage, though her gestures remain hesitant. Some have speculated that the performance is a metaphor for the first months of The Eras tour, in which Swift performed back-to-back shows right after her break up from actor Joe Alwyn .

The song that follows includes lyrics like "Lights, camera, bitch smile, even when you wanna die" and "All the pieces of me shattered as the crowd was chanting, more." The accompanying music video includes visuals from the tour.

Folklore and Evermore Are Combined (With a New Costume)

Kevin Mazur/TAS24 /Getty Images

The Folklore and Evermore eras once stood on their own, but in the updated set Swift joined them. “We have now reunited the sisters and combined them into one chapter,” she said . She alternated songs from each album wearing a never-before-seen yellow dress from Alberta Ferretti.

She Nixed Existing Songs

Given the show already surpassed three hours, adding new songs meant having to nix existing ones. Swift axed fan favorites from Folklore, Evermore, Lover, Fearless, and Speak Now , including “The Archer,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “The 1,” “’Tis the Damn Season,” “Tolerate It,” "Fearless' "Evermore" and "Long Live."

A New Red Costume

Swift sported a new top for the show's Red era: a white T-shirt that read 'This is not Taylor's version.'

New Sequencing

Swift moved up Speak Now, performing songs from the album right after the Red era and pushed back the now-combined Folklore/Evermore section to follow Reputation . After 1989 she launched into a brand new The Tortured Poets Department section, and rounded things out with her usual surprise songs and Midnights era.

A New 1989 Outfit

For the 1989 portion of the show, Swift wore a pink ombré top and a blue ombré miniskirt. Her shoes were mismatched, with the right boot matching her top and the left referencing her skirt.

A New Acoustic Set Dress

The Grammy winner debuted a hot pink mini dress for the surprise section of the set. At the May 9 show in Paris she (fittingly) played the songs "Paris" and "loml," a ballad from her new album.

Another New Acoustic Set Dress

On her third night performing in Paris, the star wore a new orange dress during her acoustic set. She played Hey Stephen and Maroon.

A New Midnights Costume

Swift ended the the first Paris show in another new outfit. The blue bodysuit is similar in color to previous Midnight's costumes, but features a new silhouette with cutouts on the ribs and a a keyhole near the chest.

On the third night she switched things up again, debuting a glittering purple dress and coat.

New Transitions and Visuals

The updated show's Speak Now section is preceded by flowers blooming on the stage's screen, while Reputation ends with a snake slithering into the woods, signaling the start of the now combined Folklore and Evermore era. The Tortured Poets Department era includes spaceship visuals and old Hollywood motifs.

Taylor Swift’s new Era Tours setlist – seven Tortured Poets songs added

As the latest leg of her tour gets under way, fans are closely watching the evolution of the singer’s setlist

Taylor Swift has now played two nights in Paris as the latest leg of her Eras tour gets under way. For many fans and Swift-curious observers, one question has been how the singer-songwriter might incorporate songs from her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department, which she released during a break between tour dates.

In Paris on Thursday night Swift described her new block of songs as “Female rage, the musical”, and added seven of them from her new 31-track album, including the lead single Fortnight.

Elsewhere, two of her album “eras” – Folklore and Evermore – were combined and the order of the other Eras were switched. On the first night, the mid-show “surprise songs” featured (aptly) Paris, a track from Midnights and loml from TTPD.

Will this be the new lineup for the remaining dates? Time – and the remaining nights at La Défense arena in Paris – will tell, but here’s how the show went down on the first two nights in Paris.

During the Paris leg of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift stayed at the elegant Hôtel De Crillon, where she had access to luxurious amenities, Michelin-starred dining and charmingly sophisticated decor.

The gorgeous Rosewood Hotels & Resorts mainstay features massive suites ranging in price from $4,600 to $21,000 per night depending on the accommodation’s size and layout.

The property’s 10 signature suites “embody an expressly Parisian residential style that is equally warm and refined,” the hotel’s website states .

The late Karl Lagerfeld designed the residential-style guest rooms, which offer “an incomparable atmosphere of contemporary sophistication that respects the landmark’s 18th-century heritage.”

The chic suites come with butler service and have a mixture of bespoke furnishings, antique pieces and carefully selected objets d’art that bring an air of refinement to the palatial Parisian retreats.

Spacious en suite bathrooms are immaculately designed with marble finishes and full-size soaking tubs for ultimate relaxation.

There are also several delectable dining options on-site for guests to enjoy.

The Nonos par Paul Pairet is an upscale restaurant serving traditional French cuisine “with a twist,” like steak frites and beef fillet, as well as a selection of desserts, including chocolate soufflé and strawberry and raspberry chantilly.

Connected to the main dining hall is a delicatessen offering fresh seafood, charcuterie, smoked fish and cheeses perfect to grab on the go for a picnic under the Eiffel Tower.

For those ready to indulge in the finest dining option, A-list guests can eat and drink at the Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant L’Écrin.

The fancy fair offers an “exceptional culinary experience characterized by the subtlety of [their] dishes and remarkable pairings,” the website states.

Dishes are carefully crafted based on beverage pairings and prepared with seasonal produce for an “unforgettable sensory expedition” that can be served as a five- or seven-course meal.

The Jardin d’Hiver is a stunning tea room where guests can go for all-day dining and munch on desserts by head pastry chef Matthieu Carlin.

The bar Les Ambassadeurs is where travelers can sip on creative cocktails while listening to live music.

As for those seeking an extremely private dining experience, visitors can feast inside the hotel’s private dining room dubbed La Cave.

For round-the-clock sweets, patrons can enjoy fresh pastries from Butterfly Pâtisserie.
