Looking for the best time to buy airline tickets to get a cheap flight to everywhere? We’ve got you covered anytime, anywhere. Here’s how to find the best deal for flight booking no matter where you want to go in the world.
Which day of the week is the best day to buy cheap airline tickets?
For both U.S. domestic and international travel, Sundays can be cheaper for airline ticket purchases. Fridays tend to be the most expensive day to book a flight. Booking on the right day of the week could save you up to 6% on your airfare, according to historical data*.
When is the best time to buy airline tickets?
Based on 2020 And 2021 global flight data for Economy tickets, prices usually start to increase 56 days before departure for domestic flights. When traveling internationally, prices usually start to increase 21 days before departure*. Keep in mind that this isn’t a hard-and-fast rule; keeping an eye on prices is a good idea when trying to find the best airfare deals. Compare fares across different airlines, and set up a price alert for your preferred route.
Which are the cheapest days to fly?
Analysis of domestic and international airfare prices shows that flying out on Fridays can be cheaper. Many travelers start their trips on Sundays, so your chances of a lower price are better when departing early in the week instead. Starting your trip on a Friday could be almost 11% cheaper than air travel on Sundays, so book flights online wisely*!
Which is the cheapest month to fly?
The cheapest month to fly can vary depending on where you’re going, so finding the best rates largely comes down to avoiding peak travel times for your destination. If you’re looking for cheap international flights , the most expensive month tends to be February, while the cheapest is November with cheap flights in November offering potential savings of up to 34.6% relative to February. How can I get cheap last-minute flight deals?
The historical data analysis of flight pricing patterns shows that you can still find amazing airfare deals 3 weeks prior to departure* when traveling domestically. Additionally, travelers may alter their search for round-trip flights, one-way flights, and multicity flights.
What should I look out for when booking flights?
Several factors go into any flight booking, and you’ll need to keep an eye out for them all to ensure that you get the travel time, luggage policy, airline, and class you want. Consider which airport is closest to your ultimate destination (travelers to Los Angeles may prefer flights to LAX over flights to PSP , and make sure that the flight will accommodate all the luggage you plan on bringing. The cheapest place to travel can be in the same country, like Chicago. Flights to Chicago are fairly affordable no matter where you’re coming from in the continental United States. Flights to Las Vegas tend to be pretty affordable as well. While the Vegas airport isn’t a hub for any major airline, it does have plenty of competition to keep prices relatively low.
Where can I fly for cheap?
Staying within a strict budget still allows you to find plenty of cheap flights, even to destinations like Puerto Rico. In fact, flights to Puerto Rico don’t even require U.S. citizens to have a passport. Flights to Alberta and other destinations in Canada can be fairly affordable as well.
Is it cheaper to buy flights last minute?
Flight tickets can be cheaper at the last minute depending on how late you’re actually booking, where you’re going, and the kind of flight you opt for. For domestic flights with Economy tickets, prices usually start to increase 3 weeks before departure, and 4 weeks for international flights, according to historical data*.
Are fully refundable flights available?

Driving 200 Miles: How Long Will It Take? Factors, Tips, and Estimations
Embarking on a road trip covering a distance of 200 miles is an exhilarating prospect that holds the promise of new experiences, adventures, and discoveries. However, the question that looms large in the minds of travelers is: “How long does it take to drive 200 miles?”
The answer to this seemingly straightforward question is influenced by a myriad of factors that can transform a 200-mile journey into a leisurely drive or a time-pressed excursion. In this blog, we’ll delve deep into the intricacies of driving 200 miles, and explore the multifaceted elements that contribute to the duration of your journey.
From speed limits and road conditions to driving habits and unforeseen delays, we unravel the complexities that play a pivotal role in determining the time it takes to traverse this distance. Buckle up as we navigate through the realm of driving 200 miles, uncovering the factors that can turn this endeavor into an unforgettable adventure.
Factors Affecting Driving Time:
Below we have listed the most affecting factors on your travel time duration:
1. Speed Limits and Traffic Conditions:
Highways and interstates often allow for higher speeds, enabling you to cover more ground in less time. Conversely, urban areas and residential zones may have lower speed limits, necessitating a more patient approach. Traffic conditions, a variable that oscillates with time of day and location, exert a substantial influence on your driving time. Rush hour, traffic, and congested streets can considerably extend your journey while smooth-flowing highways facilitate a quicker progress.
2. Type of Road:
While highways offer uninterrupted stretches of higher speed limits, rural roads might demand a more cautious pace due to twists, turns, and elevation changes. Uphill climbs and downhill descents can affect your average speed and subsequently prolong your journey. Being mindful of road type allows you to anticipate the challenges and allocate time accordingly.
3. Driving Speed:
A fundamental element within your control, your chosen driving speed directly correlates with the time it takes to complete the 200-mile distance. Adhering to speed limits not only ensures your safety but also aids in a more accurate estimation of your travel time. A consistent driving speed, free from abrupt acceleration or deceleration, contributes to a smoother and swifter journey.
4. Rest Stops and Breaks:
As the miles roll by, taking periodic breaks becomes essential not only for your comfort but also for your safety. While these pit stops might seem inconsequential, they can significantly influence your overall travel time. By include time for breaks, snacks, and filling up your tank in your travel planning you can stay awake and energized during your trip.
5. Weather Conditions:
Unfavorable weather conditions such as rain, snow, or fog can impede visibility and traction, necessitating a speed reduction. Inclement weather might also lead to road closures or detours, adding unforeseen delays to your expedition. Monitoring weather forecasts and adjusting your travel plans accordingly can mitigate the impact of adverse conditions.
Tips for Optimizing Your Journey:
Embarking on a 200-mile drive requires more than just starting the engine and hitting the gas pedal. Following tips that can help you optimize your travel time and make the most of your road trip:
1. Plan Your Route: Before setting out, take advantage of modern navigation tools such as GPS devices or smartphone apps. Plan your route, taking into account factors like traffic patterns, road closures, and detours. Opt for the fastest and most efficient path, minimizing the chances of unexpected delays.
2. Time Your Departure: Timing is crucial when it comes to optimizing your journey. Avoid peak traffic hours and rush periods to minimize congestion and maximize your average driving speed. Setting out early in the morning or during off-peak hours can lead to a quicker and more enjoyable drive.
3. Maintain a Steady Speed: Consistency in your driving speed plays a significant role in reaching your destination on time. Following speed limits not only prioritizes your safety but also mitigates unnecessary speed changes that could affect your total travel time.
4. Minimize Stops: While rest stops and breaks are important, excessive stops can add up and extend your travel time. Plan your breaks strategically, combining rest, food, and fuel stops to optimize your journey while allowing for necessary downtime.
5. Stay Alert and Focused: Fatigue can slow down your reaction time and impair your driving speed. Prioritize getting enough sleep before your trip and stay alert throughout the drive. If you feel drowsy, take short breaks to stretch and refresh yourself.
6. Utilize Cruise Control: On highways and long stretches of road, utilize your vehicle’s cruise control feature to maintain a consistent speed. This can help improve fuel efficiency and contribute to a smoother, more efficient journey.
7. Pack Snacks and Refreshments: Having snacks and drinks on hand can minimize the need for extended stops and allow you to sustain your energy levels while on the road. Healthy and easy to store snacks are ideal for keeping hunger at bay.
8. Entertainment and Navigation: Prepare entertainment options, such as music playlists or audiobooks, to keep you engaged during the drive. Additionally, use navigation tools to anticipate upcoming turns, exits, and potential traffic hotspots.
Estimations for Driving 200 Miles:
Estimating the time it takes to drive 200 miles depends on several variables, but we can provide a general overview of potential travel times based on different scenarios:
1. Highway Travel (Minimal Traffic): Assuming an average speed of 60-70 mph and minimal traffic, you might cover 200 miles in approximately 3-4 hours. Smooth-flowing highways with few interruptions contribute to a quicker journey.
2. Urban Areas (Traffic and Stops): In densely populated urban areas with traffic signals, intersections, and frequent stops, your travel time could extend to 4.5-5.5 hours or more. Negotiating through city traffic and adhering to lower speed limits can slow your progress.
3. Adverse Weather Conditions: Inclement weather conditions, such as rain, snow, or fog, can significantly impact your travel time. Reduced visibility and slippery road surfaces may require you to reduce your speed, potentially extending the journey by an hour or more.
4. Combined Factors: A combination of traffic congestion, urban terrain, and adverse weather conditions can lead to a longer travel time. Depending on the severity of these factors, it’s possible that a 200-mile drive could take closer to 6 hours or more.
Remember that these estimations are approximate and can vary based on personal driving habits, road conditions, and unforeseen events.
Conclusion:
Whether you’re embarking on a solo odyssey or sharing the road with loved ones, the road itself becomes a canvas for memories, experiences, and moments that linger long after the engine has quieted. So, next time you set out to conquer 200 miles, consider the factors, apply the tips, and let the road guide you to an unforgettable destination. Until then, may your journeys be safe, your horizons endless, and your travels filled with joy. Happy driving!

8 Top Tips for Planning a Large Student Group Trip for 200+
Traveling with a large student group of 200+ can be daunting. There are so many moving parts and so many details to deal with. So where do you start? Right here! We’ll walk you through the 8 top tips for planning your marching band trip, class trip, show choir trip, or any other large group trip for 200+ travelers!
1. Use online registration and payments.
When you’re working with a large group, the goal is to make planning as simple and efficient as possible. A great way to streamline is to use an online platform for registration, payments, trip protection, documents, and reminders.
Aggregating information in an online format is easy for travelers and trip planners and everything is in one convenient place. No more missing permission slips, medical forms, or rooming lists!
How KA Makes Planning A Student Trip SO Easy!
2. Think through your transportation plan.
The next big hurdle is figuring out how to get 200+ travelers from here to there. Here are a few key questions as you decide which method of transportation is best…
As you make transportation decisions, remember that motorcoaches are in short supply. Book EARLY (we recommend at least a full year in advance.)
In addition, air travel with a large group can be tricky. Flights and rates change constantly, and you may not be able to keep the group together on one flight. Consider using a group booking site like Fly My Group for convenience and the best rates.
Bus vs. Plane: Which is Better for Your Student Group?
3. Be sure your hotel and dining partners can handle large groups.
When you travel with a large student group, be sure your hotel and dining partners can handle them.
Groups of 200+ can be especially tricky to house. Check into hotels just outside a metropolitan area for better rates and availability and try to keep your group on the same floor.
If you must split the group between floors, consider adding a security guard through the night as an added safety precaution.
Pro Tip: Book hotels with interior corridors only for student groups!
Look for restaurants with group menus and pricing and large spaces reserved for groups. Big chains like Hard Rock Cafe , Dave & Buster’s , or Golden Corral® are great options.
Just remember to book well in advance of your travel dates since spaces fill quickly!
4. Consider ticket packages and attractions.
Another big consideration for your big group is planning your activities. On the plus side, traveling with 200+ students often means better group rates on tickets and attractions.
However, large groups are sometimes difficult to accommodate. Some attractions don’t have the capacity for very large groups or have changed ticketing protocols post-pandemic.
Consider breaking them down into a more manageable six groups of 40. Then while one group tours the Capitol, others can visit the Smithsonian Museums or the Library of Congress and then rotate.
Be sure you have enough responsible chaperones to handle your groups!
5. Chaperones are essential – but choose wisely!
Chaperones for large student groups of 200+ are essential. They help keep track of travelers, become extra eyes and ears to help ensure safety, and offer added support during an emergency.
But we’ve all heard the horror stories…the ones where the chaperones get into more trouble than the students! Adults that you thought were trustworthy and reliable are suddenly acting like teens themselves. Ugh!
So how do you pick the perfect chaperones for your student trip? Click below to find out!
9 Tips for Picking the Perfect Chaperones
6. Include a tour director in your trip plans.
A tour director is a game changer if you travel with a large group of 200+. Tour directors are professional group tour leaders expertly trained to handle your trip from the minute you arrive at your destination until departure.
A tour director is experienced, highly trained, and able to troubleshoot and clearly communicate with travelers and group leaders. On a large group trip, a tour director can make the difference between an outstanding travel experience or a nightmare you never want to repeat.
7. Take advantage of the latest trip tech.
We live in a world dominated by apps and easy access. We use technology to find our way around, order food, shop, entertain ourselves, organize schedules, etc. It makes our lives easier and so much more convenient.

‘kittens’ dropped off at arizona humane society turned out to be something else entirely.
Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.
The Arizona Humane Society is warning people to be certain that baby animals are actually orphans before attempting to rescue them — and to be sure of the species of the animal.
“Last week, a Good Samaritan found a den behind their shed full of tiny baby animals,” Jennifer Armbruster, senior manager of public relations at the Arizona Humane Society, told Fox News Digital via email.
The Good Samaritan, not knowing what else to do, brought the critters to the Arizona Humane Society, thinking they were domestic animals in need of help.
There, it was quickly discovered that these animals were not typical house pets .
They were baby foxes.
“The tiny babies were then transferred to Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, which identified them as gray foxes, where they will undergo rehabilitation and [be] released to the wild when they are old enough to be on their own,” said Armbruster.
She continued, “This story also serves as an important reminder that animal mothers offer the best chance of survival for little ones like these,” especially as spring is known as “kitten season.”
Well-meaning people often attempt to aid litters of kittens they encounter, said Armbruster.
This, however, is typically not necessary.
“Human intervention is typically not required … The best thing we can do is leave the kittens alone,” she said.
The mother cat will likely return to her babies before too long, and “it’s critical that the kittens remain in her care as she offers the best chance for survival.”
Rather than immediately intervene, a person should instead keep an eye on the kittens.
If, after eight hours without their mom, “then it is likely the kittens are orphaned ,” said Armbruster.
The Arizona Humane Society and other animal organizations “offer Care-In-Place kits for underaged, orphaned kittens to be cared for by those who find them until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered,” she said.
If, as in the case of the Good Samaritan from earlier, a person were to come across a litter of wild animals with no mother in sight, it is best to contact a wildlife rehabilitation organization, she said.
Gray foxes are commonly found throughout the United States, said the website for the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
They typically grow to be about four to five pounds, and they are about a foot tall at the shoulder, said the museum.
Female foxes typically have litter sizes ranging from three to seven kits, the same source said.
Fox News Digital reached out to Southwest Wildlife for an update on the foxes.

I flew to Milan for 14-hour trip because it's cheaper than London
- Dagmara Kedzierska, from Manchester, jetted to Milan for the day for £50
- Read More: I flew to Pisa for a pizza and got back in time for work the next day
A traveller has revealed how she travelled to Milan for £50 to enjoy pizza and Aperol spritz - which she says cost her less than a day out in London .
Dagmara Kedzierska, 30, from Manchester, decided to take the trip abroad because she was put off travelling within the UK due to soaring rail fares.
It would have cost her more than £100 alone to get a return train from her home in Manchester to the capital.
So, the thrifty traveller decided to fly to Milan Bergamo instead for just £50 return.
Arriving at 10:50am in the Italian city, she then set about her day grabbing a coffee with a freshly baked croissant for breakfast.
The business owner then caught a £6 train to Varenna to see the beautiful Lake Como and watch the world go by whilst eating pizza and drinking Aperol spritz.
Dagmara then got the £6 train back to Milan to hop on the £2 Metro to the Duomo to see the sights including the cathedral.
After touring the area she hopped back on the Metro to the station to catch a £11 train to Malpensa airport.
Catching her flight home, she arrived back home in Manchester at just 1am the next day.
Dagmara said: 'The day trips abroad are way more appealing, as most of the time they work out cheaper than staying in the UK.
'My Milan trip cost me less than £200 including the flights, transport, food and drinks.
'The weather abroad is also more likely to be better than here, I live in Manchester and the weather lately hasn't been the greatest! Travelling abroad, even if it's only for one day, gets me in a holiday mood.'
She made the trip on 20 April and arrived back early the next day to Manchester airport with no need to stay overnight and pay for a hotel.
'I have done a few day trips abroad for one day and it allows me to go back to work the next day without taking any time off work.
'I also love food and travelling abroad even for one day lets me try new foods. The restaurants in the UK are very basic and most of the time you will eat pre cooked pasta or prebaked pizza.'

Trump faces jail threat over gag order as prosecutors zero in on transactions at heart of the case.

NEW YORK – Donald Trump returns to his hush money trial Tuesday facing a threat of jail time for additional gag order violations as prosecutors gear up to summon big-name witnesses in the final weeks of the case.
Stormy Daniels , the porn actor who has said she had a sexual encounter with Trump, and Michael Cohen, the former Trump lawyer and personal fixer who prosecutors say paid her to keep silent in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign, are among those who have yet to take the stand but are expected to in the coming weeks.

The jury on Monday heard from two witnesses, including a former Trump Organization controller who provided a mechanical but vital recitation of how the company reimbursed payments that were allegedly meant to suppress embarrassing stories from surfacing and then logged them as legal expenses in a manner that Manhattan prosecutors say broke the law.
The testimony from Jeffrey McConney yielded an important building block for prosecutors trying to pull back the curtain on what they say was a corporate records cover-up of transactions designed to protect Trump’s presidential bid during a pivotal stretch of the race. It focused on a $130,000 payment from Cohen to Daniels and the subsequent reimbursement Cohen received.
McConney and another witness testified that the reimbursement checks were drawn from Trump’s personal account. Yet even as jurors witnessed the checks and other documentary evidence, prosecutors did not elicit testimony Monday showing that Trump himself dictated that the payments would be logged as legal expenses, a designation that prosecutors contend was intentionally deceptive.
McConney acknowledged during cross-examination that Trump never asked him to log the reimbursements as legal expenses or discussed the matter with him at all. Another witness, Deborah Tarasoff, a Trump Organization accounts payable supervisor, said under questioning that she did not get permission to cut the checks in question from Trump himself.
“You never had any reason to believe that President Trump was hiding anything or anything like that?” Trump attorney Todd Blanche asked.
”Correct,” Tarasoff replied.
The testimony followed a stern warning from Judge Juan M. Merchan that additional violations of a gag order barring Trump from inflammatory out-of-court comments about witnesses, jurors and others closely connected to the case could result in jail time.
The $1,000 fine imposed Monday marks the second time since the trial began last month that Trump has been sanctioned for violating the gag order. He was fined $9,000 last week , $1,000 for each of nine violations.
“It appears that the $1,000 fines are not serving as a deterrent. Therefore going forward, this court will have to consider a jail sanction,” Merchan said before jurors were brought into the courtroom. Trump’s statements, the judge added, “threaten to interfere with the fair administration of justice and constitute a direct attack on the rule of law. I cannot allow that to continue.”
Trump sat forward in his seat, glowering at the judge as he handed down the ruling. When the judge finished speaking, Trump shook his head twice and crossed his arms.
Yet even as Merchan warned of jail time in his most pointed and direct admonition, he also made clear his reservations about a step that he described as a “last resort.”
“The last thing I want to do is put you in jail,” Merchan said. “You are the former president of the United States and possibly the next president as well. There are many reasons why incarceration is truly a last resort for me. To take that step would be disruptive to these proceedings.”
The latest violation stems from an April 22 interview with television channel Real America’s Voice in which Trump criticized the speed at which the jury was picked and claimed, without evidence, that it was stacked with Democrats.
Prosecutors are continuing to build toward their star witness, Cohen , who pleaded guilty to federal charges related to the hush money payments . He is expected to undergo a bruising cross-examination from defense attorneys seeking to undermine his credibility with jurors.
Tucker reported from Washington.

WEATHER ALERT
4 warnings and 3 advisories in effect for 16 regions in the area
More than 200 people, 180 pets rescued in harris county during weekend flooding, mandatory evacuation order lifted for areas along east fork of the san jacinto river.
Ahmed Humble , Digital Content Producer
HOUSTON – It’s been a rollercoaster of severe weather in Houston the last few days and while things appear to be over now, Harris County leaders are monitoring areas impacted by high flood waters.

During a press conference Monday morning, County Judge Lina Hidalgo started out with a positive note saying, “We are out of the woods now.”
“We can absolutely see the light at the end of the tunnel,” she continued. “And we’ve made it through the worst of this major event.”
Hidalgo also praised local law enforcement for their work in helping stranded Harris County residents. She noted in total, 233 people and 186 pets were rescued, as of Monday morning.
So while things appear to be improving, Hidalgo acknowledged though, that she and other officials with the Office of Emergency Management are still monitoring conditions to ensure proper safety. So while residents may be able to return to their homes after evacuating, some roads impacted by the flood are still hazardous.
Officials have lifted the mandatory evacuation order which was issued for areas along the East Fork of the San Jacinto River.
Additionally, some residents are still recovering from the damage the severe weather caused over the weekend. However, Hidalgo noted, there have not been any weather-related deaths reported over the weekend.
“I know that a lot of folks were displaced by this weather event...and I know that evacuating is stressful,” she said. “But, I do want to thank people for following our advice; flooding is one of the leading causes of death in these kinds of situations and we haven’t had a single death that we know of.”
MORE: Cleaning up debris? Here’s how Harris County is helping residents after severe flooding
Hidalgo also noted how Harris County remains ready to help residents in need by connecting them with the necessary resources. To do so, residents should call 211 and they will be connected with case managers to point them in the right direction for food banks or the Red Cross.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, who also joined Hidalgo in the press conference, took this opportunity to remind Houstonians about how June 1st would be the official start of Hurricane Season, so residents ought to be prepared in the event of another weather disaster.
“If you haven’t already, finalize your emergency plan: stock up on critical supplies, bookmark preparedness resources, and stay informed,” he said. “You can’t stop a hurricane but you can act now to protect yourself and your household.”
