"Too Mean To Die"-Tour 2023 Gäste: The Iron Maidens ACCEPT stehen seit Jahrzehnten für große Melodien und unvergessliche Live-Momente. Am 18. Februar kommt die Heavy-Metal-Institution mit ihrem neuen Album "Too Mean To Die" nach Filderstadt in die Filharmonie.

Seit Jahrzehnten halten ACCEPT die Fahne des klassischen Metals hoch und haben sich mit ihrem aktuellen Album „Too Mean To Die” erneut als internationale Chart-Stürmer mit weltweiten Top 10-Platzierungen erwiesen. Nun kehren sie mit der gewohnten treibenden, voller unbändiger Kraft steckenden Energie auf die europäischen Bühnen zurück. Dabei werden die sage und schreibe drei Ausnahmegitarristen das Publikum in eine wogende Masse verwandeln und den Aerosolen das Fürchten lehren. Wobei das Wort Programm ist: „The Best Is Yet To Come” ist nicht nur ein herausragender Song des neuen ACCEPT -Albums, sondern trifft auch die aktuelle Situation: Es kann nur besser werden, The Best Is Yet to Come!

The German Hard Rock band Accept announced new 2023 tour dates for Europe. The band will perform in Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, Poland, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and  Norway from January to February. They are currently promoting their latest album “Too Mean To Die” released in 2021.

In an official statement, the band said: “ACCEPT today announced the dates of their European tour, which has been postponed to early 2023 – see tour flyer! The dates could be mirrored almost identically from January / February 2022 to January / February 2023.”

The band’s current line-up has Wolf Hoffmann (Guitar – Original member), Mark Tornillo (Vocals), Uwe Lulis (Guitar), Christopher Williams (Drums), Martin Motnik (Bass) and Philip Shouse (Guitar).

Formed in Solingen, West Germany back in 1976, Accept first achieved fame with albums like “Breaker” (1981), “Restless and Wild (1982), “Balls To The Wall” (1983) and “Metal Heart” (1985). They had a ressurgence when the band came back in 2010 with the new singer Mark Tornillo. With the American vocalist, the band released praised albums like “Blood Of The Nations” (2010), “Stalingrad” (2012) and “The Rise Of Chaos” (2017).

"So sehr wir es auch wollen, die aktuelle Covid-Situation erlaubt es uns einfach nicht, die Tour 2022 weiter voranzutreiben", erklärte Gitarrist Wolf Hoffmann. Inzwischen stehen die neuen Daten fest, die Supports werden im kommenden Jahr enthüllt.

About Accept

Accept is a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, originally assembled by former vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and bassist Peter Baltes. Their beginnings can be traced back to the late 1960s. The band played an important role in the development of speed and thrash metal, being part of the German heavy metal scene, which emerged in the early to mid-1980s. Accept achieved commercial success with their fifth studio album Balls to the Wall (1983), which is the band's only album to be certified gold in the United States and Canada, and spawned their well-known hit "Balls to the Wall". Following their disbandment in 1997 and short-lived reunion in 2005, Accept reunited again in 2009 with former T.T. Quick frontman Mark Tornillo replacing Dirkschneider, and released their three highest charting albums to date, Blood of the Nations (2010), Stalingrad (2012) and Blind Rage (2014), the latter of which was Accept's first album to reach number one on the charts in their home country. The band's most recent album, The Rise of Chaos, was released on August 4, 2017.

Accept announces Winter 2023 European Headlining Tour

Accept mastermind Wolf Hoffmann states: “It’s been two hard years because we really wanted to go on stage but couldn’t for the reasons we know. Anyway, now the time of suffering has come to an end. And only one thing counts now: Accept and our fans are ‘too mean to die’ – we won’t let it get us down and rock the beginning of 2023”.

Lots of fans have already been able to get a fantastic taste of the tour this summer at the various festival shows in Europe. Whether at the German Rock Hard Festival, the Alcatraz in Belgium or the big Sweden Rock: fans and critics alike agreed: Accept are playing in the form of their lives with their new, powerful guitar front (Wolf Hoffmann, Uwe Lulis and “newcomer” Philip Shouse).

The metal legends have been a smash hit everywhere and have thrilled fans and critics alike. “With three men, we now bring the ultimate guitar army to the stage”, says Hoffmann, “it sounds better than ever before and is a lot of fun”.

At the beginning of 2023, the band will finally present their current Top 10 album “Too Mean to Die” live in the big halls of Europe! Hoffmann comments: “The album is already really strong. And the selected tracks absolutely deserve to finally be brought to the live stage and played in front of the Accept fans. The new songs have already been properly celebrated by the audience at the summer festivals”!

Not to mention the rest of Accept’s 2023 set, which has been beyond reproach for decades! Fans can look forward to uber-hits like “Balls to the Wall”, “Princess of the Dawn”, “Fast as a Shark” and many, many more.

Accept shouter Mark Tornillo explains: “After the past 2-3 years, which have been so cruel for all of us worldwide, we are delighted that we can finally present our new album live to the fans. We are very excited about the reactions. And we’re looking forward to finally standing in front of you on stage again soon and looking into your beaming faces while we rock out together with you”.

Before that, Accept will be touring the USA extensively for four weeks from the end of September 2022!

The concert began at the announced time (19:00), that was quite surprising. The sound was perfect comparing to the previous Accept concert in Kiev(maybe it depends on the venue)! Accept remixes of classical music are just fantastic! Really enjoyed the show! Amazing concert!

Show was killer! Louder than hell. Probably the loudest show I've ever been too, but then I was right up by the stage. No complaints whatsoever. I had never been to Gas Monkey Live, great venue with great service and friendly employees. I was only disappointed that there were not more people there to see the great ACCEPT!!! The opening band , Millennial Reign was also great. The young lady who was the lead singer had a great voice and was stunningly beautiful. Perfect frontwoman. Thanks for an awesome time. \m/

An outstanding performance by the band ACCEPT.

This singer stylistic and has a crew coming f thunderous musicians that set the bar for metal / rock bands. Not as popular as Scorpions, also from Germany, Accept is polished, all pro & obviously enjoy every minute performing live. The bassist pounds out his stuff like a freight train at high speed.

An EPIC experience for my 25 year old son to see original masters at work. Saw scorpions last year and Accept the other night and all I can say is these old guys from Germany really know how to take care of themselves well, very healthy and be enthusiastic for their fans . They looked great.

The 2 bands hit it off, and revealed today that The Iron Maidens will now join ACCEPT on their “Too Mean To Die” European tour, which sets sail from January. This all girl metal group, who originate from Southern California, rapidly made a name for themselves in the U.S. as an outstanding cover band and very soon after gained a highly acclaimed international reputation. Gestern Abend war ich auf dem Tourabschluss in Saarbrücken. War klasse. Volle Hütte und tolle Stimmung, sowohl auf der Bühne als auch im Publikum. Accept-Sänger Mark Tomilio kam zu den Maidens auf die Bühne und sang "Wrathchild", und im Gegenzug enterten die Maidens beim letzten Accept-Song "I'm a rebel" die Bühne.

In Leipzig war es auch absolut großartig. Schönes Programm aus Klassikern, Songs vom letzten Album und Best Of der Post-Dirkschneider-Ära. Die gut eingespielte Band groovte wie Hölle und hinterließ trotz des schon etwas höheren Alters der meisten Beteiligten nie den Eindruck eines Altherrenkommandos. Höhepunkte waren Midnight Mover und das Medley mit Songs der Frühphase. Nach knapp 2 Stunden guter Unterhaltung wurde mit Balls und Rebel das Finale gesetzt. Iron Maidens waren etwas zu zurückhaltend für meinen Geschmack. Würde die Band gern mal in einem kleineren Club sehen.

Zu meiner Freude hat sich Wolf gar nicht mehr so sehr in den Vordergrund gesetzt. Klar gab es seine Poser-Momente am Bühnenrand, aber er hatte nicht mehr oder weniger Licht als alle anderen auch. Vielmehr war mein Eindruck, dass alle anderen Bandmitglieder genau so viel Action auf der Bühne machen konnten, wie sie wollten. V.a. der neue Gitarrist Philip Shouse hat ordentlich Ballett gemacht, hat mir gefallen Übrigens: 30-jähriges Jubiläum nach meinem ersten Accept-Konzert im Haus Auensee Zum Vergrößern anklicken....
