Country singer Luke Bryan headlining "99.5 WYCD Hoedown" at Pine Knob Music Theatre

CLARKSTON, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - The annual "99.5 WYCD Hoedown" is returning this summer at the Pine Knob Music Theatre with country singer Luke Bryan as the headliner.

Bryan will be joined by Alana Springsteen, Chase Matthew and HunterGirl across two stages on June 28, according to a press release.

Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. on Feb. 16 at 313Presents.com , LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com .

"It's a full circle moment to have our friend Luke Bryan return to the WYCD Hoedown," 99.5 WYCD program director Tim Roberts said in a statement. "He was on his first single then and now brings 30 #1 hits to this epic show at Pine Knob. We couldn't be more excited."

Bryan's performance is also part of his "Mind of a Country Man" tour, which kicks off on March 7 in Houston, Texas.

Due to popular demand, Audacy’s 99.5 WYCD Detroit’s Country (WYCD-FM) and five-time Entertainer of the Year and American Idol celebrity judge Luke Bryan have added a second date for the “99.5 WYCD Hoedown” at Pine Knob Music Theatre on Saturday, June 29. The Hoedown will feature acts across two stages, including main stage performances from Alana Springsteen on Friday, June 28, and Ella Langley on Saturday, June 29. Chase Matthew and HunterGirl will perform on the main stage both days. Doors open with access to the Festival Stage grounds at 3 p.m. with artists performing on the Festival Stage to be announced soon. Pine Knob Music Theatre is presented by Proud Partners United Wholesale Mortgage, Trinity Health and Ally.

During his career, Luke has amassed a total of 21.2 billion global streams, 11.5 million global album sales and 55.3 million track sales worldwide. He is the most digital single RIAA certified country artist of all time with 84M digital single units and 15.5 million album certified units for a total of 99.5 million.

He has placed 30 singles at #1 and has accumulated 56 total weeks spent at #1 in his career. He was recently presented with the SoundExchange Hall of Fame Award in recognition of his standing as one of the most streamed artists in SoundExchange’s 20-year history.

Dedicated festival goers will surely be in the mood for some Boot Scootin' Boogie, as Brooks and Dunn will be headlining the event as part of their "Reboot 2022 Tour." You'll surely be energized by the performance of the best-selling duo of all time, along with our favorite country artists Tenille Townes, Joe Nichols, and Parmalee. Audacy's 99.5 WYCD Hoedown gets even bigger in its 39th year as Brooks and Dunn headlines the event. Being the best-selling duo of all time, the Grammy award-winning Brooks and Dunn will surely make this year's festival one to look forward to. Hits like "Boot Scootin' Boogie," "My Maria" and "Believe" have propelled Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn to country stardom and have continued to influence many artists in all genres. Now that the duo is back on the WYCD Hoedown stage, they are more than excited to share the music of their "Reboot 2022 Tour" with their fans.

"Last year, we fired up the buses and 'let it roll' again," shared Kix Brooks. "Thanks for reminding us how you guys can shake every stage we walk on to…damn, it feels good to be back with ya! Bring it! We'll meet you there!"

"It is our full intent to step onto the stage each night and throw down like the wildest honky tonk you've never been to…yet," added Ronnie Dunn. "Don't be concerned about the mess left afterwards, y'all just enjoy yourselves and we'll worry about that later."

The duo is known to give one hell of a show, so fans can expect nothing but the best from this two! Joining them are some of the promising names in the country music scene. The Canadian country singer Tenille Townes will be part of the lineup. She is known for her hits such as "Somebody's Daughter," "Jersey on the Wall (I'm Just Asking)," and "Girl Who Didn't Care."

The country star Joe Nicols will also perform at the event. For two decades, he has been a mainstay of country music, bridging the gap between the genre's old-school roots and the contemporary era. Rounding the lineup is the country music band Parmalee. The band consisting of brothers Matt Thomas and Scott Thomas, along with their cousin Barry Knox and Josh McSwain are known for several hits such as "Take My Name," "Just the Way," and "Already Callin' You Mine," among many others.

With this promising lineup, every event-goer will undoubtedly have the best night of the summer.

The riverside rocks make an unusual display of man-made carvings – petrogliphs that are the images of ancient cultural heritage of local ethnic groups. The Bolshekhetsirsky State Nature Preserve has conifer-broadleaved forests rich in typically virgin nature and genetic stock of organic life. In 30 miles to the southwest of the city, there is the Khekhtsir State Nature Reserve, a unique place where southern lianas, Manchurian walnuts grow side by side with evergreen conifers. Bears, foxes, wolves, elks and tigers could be watched occasionally there. The Badjal Range – one of the most picturesque parts of the Russian Far East with unique flora and fauna is abundant in sable, musk deer and bears.

Alongside criminals and recidivists, the majority of Gulag prisoners were completely innocent people locked up for a broad variety of political reasons – on the basis of trumped-up charges or ethnicity, or even without apparent cause.

Historians estimate the total number of Gulag prisoners at 15-18 million, of whom at least 1.5 million did not survive their incarceration. The victims of the Soviet Gulag were not only from the nations of the USSR but were also citizens of other countries – Czechoslovaks, Poles, Hungarians, Frenchmen, Americans, and others.
