Kid Rock Announces 4-Date No Snowflakes Tour with Travis Tritt and More
by Lisa Konicki March 7, 2023, 2:57 pm
Kid Rock is hitting the road this summer for a handful of dates and he’s banning all snowflakes.
Videos by American Songwriter
The singer announced his upcoming run of dates, titled No Snowflakes Tour, on Monday (March 6). The limited will include special guests Travis Tritt, Chris Janson, Marcus King, and Grand Funk Railroad for each of the 4 nights. With only four dates announced, the summer trek kicks off on Friday, June 23 in Austin, Texas, making stops in Fort Worth, and Nashville before concluding in Detroit on July 14.
Besides being a single ice crystal that falls through the Earth’s atmosphere, which Kid Rock is not referring to, a snowflake in slang terms, is a derogatory term for a person who is overly emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions.
The rocker took to social media to share the news:
“2023 ARENA DATES THE FOUR-CITY LIMITED RUN WILL FEATURE DIFFERENT SPECIAL GUESTS ON EACH NIGHT: CHRIS JANSON, MARCUS KING, TRAVIS TRITT, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD.”
Tickets for artist presale go on sale Tuesday, March 7, with general tickets available on Friday, March 10 at 10 am local time.

Kid Rock Announces ‘No Snowflakes’ 2023 Tour
Kid Rock has booked a slate of shows dubbed the "No Snowflakes Summer Concert" series across some major U.S. cities this summer. A different special guest will support the singer on each of the tour dates.
"Snowflake" is derogatory slang implying a person is easily offended, overly emotional or has an inflated sense of entitlement. Kid Rock — the rock, country and hip-hop artist with ties to former President Donald Trump — goaded "snowflakes" in the 2021 song " Don't Tell Me How to Live ." ( "You snowflakes here's a news flash / Ain't nobody gonna tell me how to live," he sings .) The term "no snowflakes" also indicates that the tour takes place in the warmer weather of summer.
See the dates near the bottom of this post.
Four concerts have been revealed for the 2023 No Snowflakes tour so far, although it is presumed that more shows will be announced at a later date.

In 2022, Kid Rock earned a chart leader on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart with “We the People.” The song marked his first No. 1 on that chart, following his No. 2 hit “Don’t Tell Me How to Live,” featuring the rock band Monster Truck. “People” also topped the all-format Digital Song Sales chart, Rock Digital Song Sales chart and Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, marking his first No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales and Rock Digital Song Sales charts.
In addition to music, Kid Rock is known for his conservative politics. The No Snowflakes Tour takes its name from the derogatory phrase “snowflake,” which was popularized by the 1996 novel and 1999 movie Fight Club , which includes the line to aspiring fighters: “You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake.”
The term “snowflake” later took on a political nature around the time of the 2016 election of Donald Trump, who opened the musician’s 2022 tour with a video message . Kid Rock also includes the term “snowflake” in the lyrics for “Don’t Tell Me How to Live.”

Kid Rock is a multi-platinum award-winning American rock ‘n roll icon. His music has been characterized as a melting pot of musical genres; from rap-rock in the ‘90s with singles “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy,” to the multi-chart hit “Picture,” a collaboration with Sheryl Crow, to the global smash hit, “All Summer Long,” charted at No. 1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia. Rock has sold almost 30 million records worldwide and has earned a reputation as one of the hardest working acts in rock n’ roll, blowing the roofs off arenas and stadiums on countless cross-country tours and treks around the globe. Kid Rock holds the Michigan record for most tickets sold with 150,000 for a run of ten consecutive sold-out shows, and set the Little Caesars Arena attendance record in his hometown of Detroit with 86,893 attendees in six sold-out shows. Kid Rock is also a passionate supporter of those who serve in the US Armed Forces, in addition to many other charitable causes through his Kid Rock Foundation. His newest album, Bad Reputation, was released through his own Top Dog Records label. The album features crowd favorites, “Don’t Tell Me How To Live”, “We The People”, and “My Kind of Country”, a song he co-wrote with Eric Church and Adam Hood.

Kid Rock Announces ‘No Snowflakes Summer Concert’ Series Featuring Travis Tritt, Marcus King, & More
Kid Rock is hitting the big stage once again in 2023.
It feels like it was yesterday when the polarizing rock star dropped the highly controversial Bad Reputation album in March of last year.
Of course, Mr. Rock (if you will) is known for doing things his own way, and has stayed that way throughout his extensive career.
He summed it up best during his sit down interview with FOX’s Tucker Carlson:
“I’m uncancelable… because I don’t give a f*ck.
I’m not in bed with any big corporate things at the end of the day, there’s nobody that beholden to, no record companies corporate interests no nothing, you can’t cancel me.
I love it when they try.”
We saw that statement in full force with his songs like “We The People,” and “Don’t Tell Me How To Live.”
Since then, the man has been relatively quiet, aside from the song he dropped earlier this year, “No Limits,” alongside Jimmie Allen, Austin Mahone, and Fueled by 808.
However, Kid Rock is back at it once again, as he just announced a new run of concerts this summer.
The dates include the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on June 23rd, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on June 24th, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on July 1st, and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan on July 14th.
Not to mention, he’s bringing a ton of big names along with him, like Chris Janson, Travis Tritt, Grand Funk Railroad, and Marcus King.

Kid Rock Says Country Artists Wish They Could Speak Their Mind
During his appearance with Tucker Carlson, Kid Rock discussed the current state of music, and how a number of artists, especially country artists, wish they could speak their minds more.
However, he argues they don’t because:
“They’re in bed with record companies, and corporate deals and structures at every level.”
He was then asked when he realized he wasn’t going to back down to people trying to control what he says and does:
“I think day one. I think I was born with two middle fingers in the air.”
Tucker then asks him if there are other people in the music industry, who wish they could speak out like him.
He responded:
“Every f*cking day… e specially the country guys. They have to be understandably careful. You know, the awards and things, radio, corporate interest, they mean a lot in country music, the awards actually help them out.
In rock and roll, it’s like, ‘hey you’re getting an award for this,’ and you’re like ‘psh, tell ’em to f*cking shove it up their ass.’ I could care less about their awards. I never played any of those games anyways.”
I mean, I suppose he’s not wrong.
As much as we’ve seen independent artists like Tyler Childers, Cody Jinks and Whiskey Myers earn Gold and Platinum records lately, if you want to make it in Nashville mainstream country… you gotta play by the rules to a certain extent.
Radio is still a huge driver of mainstream country music and hell, most award show show eligibility requires that you have a radio hit to even be nominated.
Joe Rogan Details Kid Rock’s 27,000 Square Foot Nashville Mansion
Over the past few months, Kid Rock made a ton of headlines with the release of his new album Bad Reputation, as well as the anti-snowflake, anti-cancel culture anthem, “Don’t Tell Me How To Live.”
But if you wanted to know how Kid Rock actually lives, just listen to the party pad he has out in Nashville.
On a recent episode of the The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe was chatting with fellow comedian and Nashville resident Theo Von. If you’re not familiar with Theo, he’s absolutely hysterical and he’s got a great special on Netflix right now.
Go watch it, thank me later.
Anyways, back to Kid Rock…
With Theo moving to Nashville, they got to talking about other folks in Nashville, like Bob Ritchie, AKA Kid Rock.
And according to Joe, Kid Rock has a SPREAD.
A 27,000 square foot mansion that looks just like the White House, there’s only two bedroom in the whole place. The rest… party space. A twenty-person hot tub that looks like a mine, a gold covered walk-in shower, an old church that was converted into a horse stable, and more.
“It’s the most wild, rockstar, hillbilly type shit… it’s when you give a real redneck fuckin’ insane amounts of money, they build something like this.”
If you ever get the invite to Kid Rock’s, you might wanna take it.
Speaking of “Don’t Tell Me How To Live,” here’s the… interesting new music video.

Kid Rock 's latest album, "Bad Reputation" , came out in March 2022.
"Bad Reputation" includes the three songs Kid Rock released in January 2022 — "We The People" , "The Last Dance" and "Rockin'" — as well as his November 2021 single "Don't Tell Me How To Live" , which was recorded with Canadian hard rockers MONSTER TRUCK .
"We The People" features the chorus of "Let's go, Brandon ," conservative code for "Fuck Joe Biden " (born when a NASCAR reporter misheard a crowd, reporting that they chanted in support of racer Brandon Brown when they were actually chanting expletives toward the U.S. president),and also takes aim at the mainstream media, CNN , TMZ , Twitter and Facebook , as well as mask mandates and COVID-19 restrictions.
"We the people in all we do reserve the right to scream, 'Fuck you!" Kid shouts in the song. "Wear your mask. Take your pills. Now a whole generation is mentally ill," he adds.
Elsewhere in the song, he raps: "COVID's near. It's coming to town. We gotta act quick, shut our borders down. Joe Biden does, the media embraces. Big Don does it, and they call him racist.
"Inflation's up like the minimum wage. So it's all the same. Not a damn thing changed," he exclaims.
He then calls for politically polarized Americans to come together, saying: "We gotta keep fighting for right to be free. And every human being doesn't have to agree. We all bleed red, brother, listen to me. It's time for love and unity."
The track concludes with sampled crowd chanting, "Let's go, Brandon ."
In a Facebook video announcing the three tracks in January 2022, Kid Rock described "We The People" as a "hard rock-rap tune."
"[It's] about, well, all the craziness going on in our world in the last few years and the politics and the polarization and social justice," he said. "You know, constantly for just being a Trump fan attacked in the media day in day out."
He added: "I don't mind taking a punch, but I hit back, motherfucker, and I hit hard."

Kid Rock’s “No Snowflakes” Tour Sells Out All 30 Shows in Under an Hour
Kid Rock wanted the country to know he was there for them — the real Americans — when he booked and named his “No Snowflakes” tour. The country has now paid him back…in ticket sales.
In just under an hour, all 30 shows on this summer’s tour sold out, making it the fastest single-day sellout of a 30-date-tour in the history of live music.
Kid says he’s stunned and humbled by the fans, who he says adore him “for good reason” and should be honored to see him live. “They really are the best,” he told Fox News.
The show will feature all of Kid’s hits, including the three from the 90s as well as that one with Sheryl Crow. Crow says she “wouldn’t be caught dead” touring with Kid Rock since his “inability to think for himself” seems to have overtaken any kind of common sense he “may have once had.”
Other musicians will definitely be joining the fray, however. Ted Nugent is planning to show up but it’s unclear if Kid will let him play. “He’s not very good,” he told Donald Trump Jr at that Christmas party.
Tickets will likely be available again tomorrow at twice the price after the resellers do their thing, so all of this is kinda BS, but still. They think the show will sell out, otherwise, they wouldn’t bother buying the nosebleeds. God Bless America.
