If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked for I.D to purchase alcohol. The venue reserves the right to refuse service. Grammy-winning singer Richard Marx is coming to the Royal Albert Hall to play songs across his forty year career.

Expect to hear some fan favourites like Hazard, Endless Summer Nights, Hold On To The Nights and Right Here Waiting , a few new songs, and maybe a couple of surprises.

He'll be joined by special guest John Oates (from Hall & Oates).

Richard Marx has sold more than 30 million albums, owns 26 top 20 singles and 17 top 10s and, as a songwriter, earned a Grammy for song of the year. He's also the writer of fourteen number one songs.

As a performer, songwriter and producer, Richard Marx’s nearly three-decade-long career has had plenty of highlights. His self-titled debut went to #8 and spawned four Top 5 singles, including the chart-topping ‘Hold on to the Nights’. The follow-up, ‘Repeat Offender’, was even more successful, hitting #1 and going quadruple-platinum with two #1 singles in ‘Satisfied’ and ‘Right Here Waiting’. When both ‘Rush Street’ and ‘Paid Vacation’ went platinum, Marx achieved a seven-year string of triumphs that rivalled any in pop-rock music history.

To mark the release of ‘Rush Street’, he embarked on a 24-hour, five-city blitz on MGM Grand Airlines, performing at every stop, a record that has yet to be broken. To this day, he is the only male artist in history to have his first seven singles reach the Top 5 on the Billboard charts. Richard remains active as a live performer, with an ongoing solo acoustic tour that’s taken him around the U.S. as well as to China, Russia and throughout Europe.

BY TUBE South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly Lines) and High Street Kensington (District and Circle Lines) are the closest Underground stations to the Hall. Walking to the Hall takes approximately 10 minutes from both stations. By Bus: 9 Aldwych to Hammersmith, stopping on Kensington Gore outside the Hall 10 King's Cross Station to Hammersmith, stopping on Kensington Gore outside the Hall 52 Victoria to Willesden stopping on Kensington Gore outside the Hall 70 Acton to South Kensington, stopping on Queen's Gate, 2 minutes walk from the Hall 360 Elephant & Castle to the Hall, stopping on Prince Consort Road, 1 minute walk from the Hall 452 Wandsworth Road Station to Kensal Rise stopping on Kensington Gore outside the Hall London BY RAIL Victoria is the nearest National Rail train station. Black cabs can usually be hailed from Kensington Gore, outside the front of the building. BY TAXI GoGreenCar is an eco-friendly private-hire car service with a fleet of over 40 hybrid vehicles. They offer great service and style at competitive prices. For bookings, please call 020 7502 3670 or email [email protected] BY BICYCLE There are a number of public bicycle racks located towards the South side of the building. Bicycles are left on these racks at your own risk and the Royal Albert Hall cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage. There are also several Barclays Cycle Hire docking stations within walking distance of the Hall. The closest one is on Kensington Gore outside the Royal College of Art.

PARKING Strict parking controls are in operation in the vicinity of the Hall. We offer some parking spaces at nearby Imperial College. Spaces are £8.00 and must be booked in advance. Gates open from 6pm for evening shows and from 1pm for weekend matinees (please note you may be refused entry if you arrive before those times). Please note that parking is not available for weekday matinee performances. Entrances to the car park are on Prince Consort Road and Exhibition Road. (Sat Nav Postcode: SW7 2BX). Please note: Customers planning on driving to the Royal Albert Hall and parking in the local area are advised not to leave valuables in their car. The Royal Albert Hall has cloakroom facilities available. Customers are also advised that when entering the Imperial College car park they should not stop or wait on the double yellow lines. Purchase Parking Purchase parking by clicking here and selecting a date. You may purchase parking before or after your ticket purchases. Please note that if the 'Select a quantity' dropdown does not show any options, this means the car park is already sold out for your chosen date. Please note that this parking is only available for cars and not larger vehicles (e.g. Mini buses or coaches). Limited disabled parking is available by contacting the Access Line on 020 7070 4410.

Richard Marx has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, starting with his self-titled debut which went to No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album spawned four Top 5 singles, including “ Hold on to the Nights ” and “ Don’t Mean Nothing ,” which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. His follow-up, 1989’s Repeat Offender , was even more successful, hitting No. 1 and going quadruple-platinum with two No. 1 singles, “ Satisfied ” and “ Right Here Waiting .” He has since made history as the only male artist whose first seven singles reached the Top 5 on the Billboard charts. 

Richard has also written on a No. 1 single in each of the last four decades, an accolade previously only reached by Michael Jackson. He has written with and for numerous artists, including Barbra Streisand, Keith Urban, Kenny Rogers, Celine Dion, Chicago, Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins, Vince Gill, Daughtry, The Tubes, Martina McBride, Lifehouse, NSYNC, Michael Bolton, Vixen, and Josh Groban, He also went on to earn a 2004 Song of the Year Grammy for co-authoring Luther Vandross’ “ Dance with My Father .” Overall, he has scored 14 No. 1 singles both as a performer and as a songwriter/producer, revealing him a true multi talented performer who continues to challenge himself and his fans.
