First I must say a big thanks to the staff at burnham on sea , we was taking some friends with us on holiday , so I rang up customer service to ask if we could be by the lakes . When we checked in we was told that we had been upgraded , and upgraded we were . I booked a prestige caravan and ended up in a lakeside lodge with own private fishing peg . When we got to the lodge and opened the door we could not be leave how lucky we had been . It was beautiful x the men enjoyed the fishing and us girls relaxed as the lodge is very private and peaceful . The park is very clean and well kepted , burnham on sea staff were helpful and very friendly , this is a fab park for all ages x I would like to say a big big thanks to all customer service staff who listen to our requests and done the very best for us x thanks agin for a great holiday xx

Thank you for your review. I was glad to ready that you and your friends enjoyed your holiday with us. We have a limited number of lodges on Park which our guests can stay in and I was happy that these were comfortable for you and helped make your holiday a relaxing one. We hope to see you back at Burnham soon. Pippa Jarvis

we stopped here on the way down to Cornwall. we wished we had stayed there and not done the extra journey. Facilities were good, toiltes clean and regularly checked, generous electric hook up . Excellent entertainment and friendly staff and the park was kept clean. Will go back

Thank you for your review. I was glad to see that you enjoyed your stay with us and we wish you could have stayed with us for longer too. We hope to see you back at Burnham in the future. Pippa Jarvis

We were impressed with the Burnham on Sea site, our caravan was very clean and tidy, 3 bedrooms, plenty of space in it, the site itself was clean, there are plenty of ducks and swans around because of the lakes, the kids loved them, especially when Mummy and Daddy swan brought their 6 babies to visit our van,i'd read reviews of problems with bird mess but there was no problem while we were there. The lakes are lovely to walk around, you can fish them, my partner got some fishing in and my 6 yr old did night fishing. The swimming pools were very clean, changing rooms were clean. The only prob with night time entertainment was that the room is small compared to other haven sites we've been to and it's upstairs, but the security staff made sure we always got a table which was nice, i didn't have to ask. Mash and Barrel was ok but bit slow in bringing food out, 45 min wait which is not too much fun with hungry kids! There is a very good Whetherspoons that's ten min walk down the road and half the price. The park has plenty of things in reach for day trips, so it's a good base for getting out and about to explore, and they also had lots going on,on the park if you just want to stay on park for the day. It's quite a quiet park which was nice. We had tired out happy kids :)

Thank you for your review. I was happy to read that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. We are very lucky, at Burnham, to be part of a nature reserve and our guests do all seem to make friends with the local wildlife. Somerset has many things to explore and we are in a prime location to reach many of the attractions. We hope to see you back at Burnham soon. Pippa Jarvis

Would not recommend to friends as the standard of cleanliness was not good. When we arrived the caravan had certainly not been cleaned. Toilet was disgusting. Grease on the cooker and floor was filthy. Not a good start to a holiday when you have travelled for 6 hours and then wait for it to be cleaned by 2 cleaners for one and a half hours. Entertainment was not great. Will not be using Haven again.

Thank you for your review. I was sorry to read that the cleanliness of your holiday home was not cleaned to your expectations. I am glad our Accommodation Team attended to rectify your concerns for you and hope that the rest of your stay was comfortable. If you would like to contact me directly on [email protected] I would be happy to talk to you directly about this. Pippa Jarvis

We booked a prestige caravan but had been upgraded to a platinum it was very wow factor! We even had dishwasher and washing machine! Lake view was amazing we had a huge decking area and all the geese and ducks come up every morning. The site however not so great the swimming pool small and they close the slide unsure why? and the changing area not very clean I had to pick hairs off my sons foot before I could put his socks on also there was a dirty used plaster in our changing cubicle. Arcade pretty standard for these places but the public toilets well Burnham should be ashamed I felt dirty when I came out they are disgusting and stunk of urine!! Mash and barrel was nice we had lunch there, massive portions. Overall we felt it was great for a base to go for days out as we had an amazing caravan. we visited western, highbridge, Burnham town and brean. Don't use the onsite spar its an absolute rip off! there's a Morrisons 5 mins away.

Thank you for your review. I am glad that you and your family had a holiday home that was very wow factor! The geese and ducks do love to visit our guests who holiday around the lakes. I’m sorry if you found the changing rooms not to your satisfaction. We do have limited space in our changing rooms at the moment and the team can find it hard to get in them to clean when the pool is very busy. We will be looking to increase the clean rotation to combat this from now on. I’m glad you enjoyed our surrounding areas, we are lucky to be so close to lots of places to visit. We hope to see you back at Burnham soon. Pippa Jarvis

We went camping for the first time ever and chose this location. We were a party of 6 people, 3 of them being children, and when we arrived, the staff on site were so polite and helpful. They took us to our pitch, and asked if we needed anything. We stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days, and have to say as as first camping experience it was amazing. The site is so clean, staff are walking around picking up any litter at regular intervals, the toilets and showers are to a high standard. The activities for the children are really good, and very cheap. There are two pools, both are very clean and lifeguards on site constantly watching. To top it all off the weather was amazing. The evening entertainment was funny at times, but good. The food at the on site restaurant wasn't nice at all, but the breakfast baps in the Spar shop were lovely, and fresh every morning. When it came to our last day we didn't want to to go home! When we left the man on site (cannot remember his name), came over, thanked us for staying and said there was no rush to leave which was nich considering we were supposed to remove out tent at 10am. The place is wonderful, have never been to a Haven site before, have never been camping before but i would do both in a heart beat, and would definitely recommend this site to anyone. Reading some of the reviews on here i am amazed, because the site wasn't dirty, the staff were not rude, and these people wrote this review the same time we were there! Great place....do not be put off by others reviews :)

Thank you so much for your lovely review of our Park. I am so pleased that your first camping trip was with us and that we managed to help you love it so much. Our Touring Wardens who met you when you arrived and showed you to your pitch do everything they can to make our guests feel welcome and part of our family here at Burnham. There's so much going on around the park and I am so pleased you and your family enjoyed taking part in our activities. We really hope to see you back at Burnham soon! :) Pippa Jarvis

Have been to many holiday parks over the years and this is one of the best maintained - beautiful grounds. We stayed in a Platinum caravan, which was extremely spacious and well equipped. The only problem we had was the mattress in the main bedroom - you could feel the springs -but solved by putting the spare duvet on top! Our children are older and we struggled a bit with things to do on the park (we did hire a 4 person go-kart/bike and had a go at the brilliant crazy golf course) - you would have no such problem with younger children as there was plenty to keep them entertained. The pool, recently refurbished, had a slide, but was very shallow - again all aimed at younger children, so our children weren't that fussed. Not much going on in Burnham at all, so we had to venture further afield.

  • Sleep Quality

Thank you for taking the time to review our Park. I am so pleased that the holiday home was everything you were looking for and if we had known about the mattress we could have looked at changing this for you. Please always let us know if you need any help and we will do our very best for you. There is always lots to do and we do our best to cater for guests of all ages. The high ropes course and leap of faith always seems to be a winner with the slightly older children who come away with us and our Sports Team would have been able to suggest sessions for your children that they may have enjoyed. Burnham on Sea itself is a small seaside town though if you are looking for something a bit bigger, Weston Super Mare is only a 15-20 minute drive away and there is plenty to do there too. We hope to welcome you back to Burnham again soon :) Pippa Jarvis

My partner and I camped here on the 5/9/14.Its our first time visit to any Haven holiday park. AND WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY......We were greeted on our arrival by warm and friendly couple who gave us clear and direct instructions how to get to our pitch. As we were putting our tent up other campers welcomed us too. The facilities on sight were fabulous and can say there was enough to do and see for all age groups. The sight was very clean, staff very friendly and well worth every penny we spent...Will defiantly be bringing the family back very soon. Very happy campers.

  • Cleanliness

I have just come back off a family camping trip, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed from the caretakers on the site, we were told we should of had a bigger pitch for our tent even thou i gave the measurements at time of booking, my husband + daughter took part in the pool party which afterwards needed a shower, but were told very rudely "do you have to have a shower now, you should of been cleaned up by now" i didnt realize thier were time limits on being clean! Also there was some messed made in the gents toilets and my husband was angrly told "there was alot of mess in the toilets, it wont happen again will it" excuse me but if we had of made the mess we certainly would not of left it for someone else to clean up! My nephews were told off for playing ball outside our tent, while others were allowed, another occasion my daughter was physically pushed out of the way by a adult and rudely told "children shouldnt be using the code for the tiolets"very unacceptable bbehaviour, i will not be returning to haven again as my family holiday was completely ruined, i also think the caretakers need to be trained up on thier people skills and manners, very disappointed with everything!!!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to review our Park. I am sorry that you seemed to have some cause for concern during your stay. Our team are trained highly in customer care and I will be sure to pass your feedback on to our Heads of Department for their attention. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me directly on [email protected] and I will do my best to help. Thank you again for taking the time to review our Park. Pippa Jarvis

We stayed for 4 days and had a mixed experience. I will go through the negatives first. We had booked a deluxe caravan which is a mid-range caravan. When we opened the door, i could feel the dirt, i got the mop out, mopped the floor and the water was black. We complained and were moved. This caravan was equally as dirty, if not worse and was soo old fashioned and was designed like a mobile home rather than a caravan. All the pans were dirty, crumbs in all the draws, greasy oven with left over food. again we complained and were moved to cedar lawn 19, which was lovely. Very clean and presented well. I feel that Haven is really pushing for ownership of caravans. This is a really shame as its moving away from the aims of what a holiday park is, and i feel that they will regret this in the future as Haven will have to rely on owners allowing them to let them out, as it is up to the owners. When we complained about our dirty caravans, we were first told how they very few caravans left, but while we were there, there were whole closes that were not occupied. But i guess this is more about making money, than giving everyone the opportunity to a holiday. The entertainment has gone down hill. The children entertainment is great, but the adults is very poor. You also have to wait until at least 10pm for this. One night they had a magic show, starting at 10pm, which was suitable for children and they really enjoyed it, so i don't understand why this couldnt be earlier so the whole family can enjoy it. Now onto the positives. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially when complaining about our accommodation. The park is well-maintained, and looks very neat and tidy. The swimming pool has many lifeguards, and around the pool and the changing rooms were all very clean. There are many activities to do, and only incur a small charge which is fair. The Go karts and the crazy golf were really fun. All in all, i don't know if i would return because of the issue with accommodation which ruined the whole evening of Monday as it wasn't resolved until about 5.30pm (check in at 3pm).

Thank you for your recent review of our Park. I am sorry that the first holiday home was not cleaned to your expectations, we do have a team on hand who would have happily popped to your holiday home to rectify this for you. I am glad we were able to offer you an alternative holiday home though I understand the layout and furnishings were not to your expectations so you were offered another move. I am pleased this holiday home was everything you were looking for and I am glad that you enjoyed the rest of your stay with us. We hope to see you back at Burnham soon :) Pippa Jarvis

Stayed here for a long weekend and wish we had stayed longer. On arrival we found we had been put into some kind of lottery for the leftover more luxurious caravans and had been upgraded from our Premier Caravan to Platinum which also came with an activity pass. We stayed in Mendip Close which is very close to a tranquil lake. The caravan was clean, comfy and up to date. The park itself is lovely. We fed Canada geese and ducks in the mornings as they passed by and were even lucky enough to see some babies. They do poop, A LOT but you can see the park do try their best to clean up after them and this is just something you live with for the pleasure of having these darling creatures as your friends for a few days. I also saw a red squirrel darting about the place! They geese and ducks live on the fishing lake. The caravans are spaced out so your not sitting on top of your neighbours and are afforded some privacy and parking is nearby. The onsite facilities are enough to keep you and yours entertained all day. There are pedalos, tennis courts, French boules, archery, fencing, football, crazy golf, indoor and outdoor pool areas and probably more i have forgotten. The Mash and Barrell is a little pricey but your not cut off from the world. You are just around the corner from Burnham On Sea esplanade, although not the most exciting esplanade in the world there is a Wetherspoons called The Reeds Arms and at the other end of the esplanade is a hotel called The Royal Clarence that has very cheap drinks and live entertainment. If you are looking to stock up on groceries and don't want to pay the prices at the onsite shop there is also a Morrisons around the corner. Opposite the park is a pub called The Lighthouse with a small play area. This is also reasonable and offers an reprieve from the park if you fancy a change of scenery. There is a Papa Johns pizza that offers a delivery service onsite if your peckish and can't be bothered to leave the comfort of your caravan. This park is lovely, very well looked after and the staff are so friendly. I would recommend to anyone, especially with children because there is so much to do in and around the park.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review of our park. I'm so pleased you had everything you could have wanted while staying on site and took the time to explore and enjoy the surrounding area. We are very lucky to be located so close to the local town which has many things to offer. Papa Johns do everything they can to make your life easy while staying with us and can deliver right to your holiday home door if you don't fancy venturing out. We really hope to see you back at Burnham soon :) Pippa Jarvis

We stayed here from the 6th July 2014 to the 14th July 2014. We have stayed here many times before and we have a privately rented caravan. We absolutely love it here. The park is absolutely spotless and beautifully landscaped. It is situated right on the sea front. There are loads of activities you can try. You do have to pay extra but its not too expensive. The Papa Johns pizza bar is great, you can have pizza delivered to your caravan or eat at one of the few tables they have available on site. The Mash and Barrel is fine but a little expensive. We ordered 'hand-carved ham' with egg and chips. Nearly £8 and the ham was wafer thin. I have bought better myself prepacked in the savers section of Morrisons. We did complain, the waitress bought a plate with two extra slices of the wafer ham. We didn't want more of it - we would of liked what was stated on the menu. Quality not quantity. Apparently they had a new supplier. We were put off by this and didn't eat there again till the end of our stay. And yes.....the ham was still NOT hand carved. Best to order food you have never tried before-then you can't compare it. A good place for food was Fortes restaurant and ice cream parlour. Now they know how to serve 'hand-carved' ham, no contest!! Another great place is Rich's Cider Farm- The Cider Press. I think that has got to be the best sunday carvery meal I have ever had!! All in all a fabulous park in a fabulous location. We really love it here.

Thank you so much for your recent review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I'm sorry if you did not feel the meal you received was what you ordered, I will pass your feedback to our Mash and Barrel Manager for her attention. I am so pleased you love our Park so much and we hope to see you back at Burnham again soon :) Pippa Jarvis

Arrived on 12 July and checked into a very nice caravan near to the main complex, as my Mum is a blue badge holder. Decided to give the bingo a go. BUT WISH WE HADN'T. What a CON. There were 4 of us. And we had 6 books each cost £38.00 £9.50 each. There was a 3 page book and a flyer. We counted at least 50-60 people playing. The TOTAL money paid out on all 4 pages was £155.00. BLOODY CON - WHERE WAS ALL THE MONEY FOR THE SALE OF THE BOOKS. The 1st game was a line £10, 2nd game was a line £20, 3rd game was a full house £80 and 4th game a full house £45. I realise there they have to make money. BUT REALLY!! Will not be going there again. Cannot fault the site but this has really annoyed me. What a con.

Thank you for your recent trip advisor review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed most aspects of the site though I am sorry if you feel let down by the bingo. We do find that sometimes the room can look quite full though not all of our guests choose to play bingo and this can be misleading. If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to contact me on [email protected] and I will help in any way possible. I do hope this does not put you off returning to us :) Pippa Jarvis

Stayed at this park this week with my family (husband, 7 year old daughter and 2 year old son), our fourth time. We love this park, the caravan we stayed in was immaculate, their is plenty to do on site and locally, kids loved the entertainment and having nice weather was an added bonus. We will be back!

Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review of our park. I'm so pleased the holiday home and park were everything you were looking for while staying with us. We look forward to welcoming you back to Burnham soon! Pippa Jarvis

Stayed in caravan with daughter and grandson. At first glance everything perfect. If you havs young children it can be noisy with other caravan users and seagulls on roof at 4 am. Sounded like children running across the roof. Cannot comment about food as we didn't eat on sits. We cooked our own food or ate out. Caravan either very hot or very cold. The staff in the pool and on reception were very friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was that the holiday park doesn't encourage recycling.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Park. I'm so pleased that you and your family enjoyed staying with us. As a park, we try to make it easy for our guests while staying with us and ask that all rubbish is placed in the bins located around park. We then get this recycled off site so you don't have to spend your holiday sorting it all out - we do it for you. We do hope you choose to visit us again in the future :) Pippa Jarvis

We have been coming here for years .this is 2nd visit this year. Was really looking forward to being able to go OUT. Thefirst weekend in the bar was darts tournament. So we could not go in .But we could sit in a marquee not good for 70 year old. The following weekend was American weekend .TJ bar was book a table for night but you had to be in at 8pm .we did not want to go out till later so could not go there .found krackers bar next door great £3.20 pint but the gem was Breakers bar opposite part of Unity .what a lovely place .all staff very friendly .Great atmosphere beer was expensive £4.50 pint .Worth it only for the staff xx The site itself is Great very clean fabulous amenities l cannot fault the price or staff on site .Glad when this Covid is over..

Just got back from brean ,stayed on the brown field ,where they had new wardens .they were really helpful friendly and always found time for you ,even on they day off .many thanks Gill and Steve for making our holiday a pleasant one looking forward to going again .

Stayed at unity farm for 4 nights in a private 4 bedroom pet friendly caravan and couldn't fault it...very clean and comfortable with an added bonus of two toilets and showers.... only used the club house for food and bingo 😁 but both food and drinks were good prices and food presented very well..and with Brean Leisure Park next door and Buddy the dog loved racing along the beach just over the road from the site too...all in all everyone had a lovely stay. Very well placed for trips around the area with Weston super mare a lovely day out but take 20p for the toilets!

Stayed a week beggining of june. Stayed with my child who is 8.. Play park is big. She enjoyed that.swimming, outside slides. Good. But had to pay extra to use. Theme park, enjoyable. Also had to pay to use. Soft play, average.. Pay to use.. Book for entertainment.. Lose money if you miss or decide not go.. Shop is very expensive. I have never been to a place where its so much about the money money money... Iv had loads of caravan holidays and this one is the most expensive... The entertainrment, tho ok could do with updating.. And must give a big shout out to justin.. Who does everything.. Poor lad dont get enough recognition.. All in all an ok holiday. My little one enjoyed herself.. Just bring plenty of money

we had a lovely 10 night holiday in our caravan,The only problem was some people in tents were very noisy, and didn't respect the older people, we stopped on the brown field with Gill and Steve the wardens which looked after us very well,But I do think an adult site on the brown field would be the ideal thing to do, it would let the older generation like me enjoy my holiday a lot better, please think about this THANK YOU

We stayed here with our daughter and three grandsons aged ten, twelve and fourteen for a week at the end of May. Previously we have stayed at numerous Haven sights, but this was definately the best. Our caravan was sited on Cypress lawns which was a quite well spaced area with most of the vans having verandars and a grassed play area at the rear. The site itself has mature trees and shrubs with well kept lawns and flower beds. The public areas are kept nice and clean with friendly and helpful staff. There are numerous activities for the children some of which have to be paid for. The two swimminf pools and games arcade were a big hit with our boys. Out of the site the promenade is outside the back gate and Burnham town is only five minutes walk away, with a Morrisons supermarket and all the usual small high street shops. The Rotary used bookshop is well worth a visit at it is huge and the books priced at 3 for £2. For a day out there is a bus from the site to Weston Super Mare, takes about an hour as it goes via Brean. Don't forget your bus pass! A very enjoyable week suitable for older people and younger children, not a town for teenagers looking for a wild time.

We have been to this site a few times now and we were very disappointed this time. It all started off by a phone call I received the day before going to say that they didn't have enough caravans for the amount of people they had booked in. They wanted us to move to Doniford Bay but I said no as we had made the mistake of going there the previous year. They were really unhelpful on the phone but eventually agreed that we could still go. It was a very stressful start to our holiday and why on earth ring people the day before! The lady said apparently they had ordered a load of new caravans that hadn't arrived which had caused the problem but I find this hard to believe. If this was the case surely customers should have been notified a few weeks ago and not the day before. We had upgraded to a so called deluxe caravan but it was awful, very basic and very old. We were due to go into the caravan at 3.00 p.m. but the cleaners didn't arrive until 3.00 p.m. which makes me believe we were given the wrong grade of caravan. We were finally let in after 3.30 p.m. We asked for parking next to the caravan as we had two small babies with us. We were told that this wouldn't be a problem when we booked. At this park most of the parking is in bays a distance away from the caravans but normally only a couple of minutes away. The park was so full that all the spaces anywhere near our caravan were taken so we had to park a good 5 minutes walk away - not ideal with such young children. I really think Haven should warn you about this. We went to go to the Restaurant one night and it was filthy so decided not to go in. All in all a terrible Haven holiday and we certainly won't be rushing back!

This place saved our holiday after the holiday centre we originally booked was nothing short of horrendus we checked out of there and made our way to Haven burnham on see hoping they would have something available and they did not dissapoint, we turned up last minute and was offered a "Safari Tent" - dont be fooled by the word tent frstly it is Huge, set out on a raised decked area. Inside it consists of two bedrooms one with a solid wood double the other a single and two bunks. The living quarters had a table and stools, cabinet and moder clothes rail as well as worktop, sink, two ring electric hob , fridge and microwave. It was exceptionaly clean & modern. The icing on the cake was the gas BBQ. The park was equaly as good as you would expect from haven with all the usaul entertainment, pool was fab and could not fault anything. Also a big shout out to Darren the touring warden who was on hand and happy to help always. We stayed for 6 nights & did not want to leave.

We have stayed at Haven in Burnham on Sea before and was thoroughly looking forwards to this stay. Unfortunately quality has gone out of the window across the board on this site and the family holiday has taken a bashing along the way. What used to be excellent is now average. Having picked a Platinum described as “Platinum - simply the best; if you're looking for truly special and spacious family accommodation with that extra "wow" factor, these holiday homes offer you the best of everything and in a prime location on the park.” our expectations were soon shattered. The van was superficially clean, the floors hovered and sides wiped by nothing else. All the fitted furniture shelves were dusty and obviously not touched. The front of the fire was missing, exposing sharp edges and making it unusable, the taps in the bathroom came off in your hand, roll holders fallen off the wall and left on the floor. etc. It might have been the “best” at some point in the past but a lack of maintenance had seen it fall into a state of disrepair. Never mind we had the “Prime Location” to enjoy. Interesting use of the word prime, I would have though it meant best but it seems it meant on the main road for the site, with a lovely view over the main car park right next to the club house. Simply the best, we very much enjoyed the thumping of disco and noise from the car park. The evening entertainment has for kids have been changed this year. Gone are the days of Rory and Bradley teams playing games with the kids on stage to win points. In fact this year I noticed use of videos to bring in characters, which I suppose cuts down on staff costs. There is little chance for the kids to get up on stage anymore. There seemed to be very little competition at all from what I could see. Gone are the kids drinks from the bar as well. They used to have a series of sipper mugs which you could refill. I suppose they were not making enough money out of the children with these as now you can only buy one size of drink for £1.80 a go. Congratulations to the management team at Burnham, in a just a couple of years you have taken an excellent family holiday experience and turned it into a very average one.

just back from a 'sun' cheapy holiday, was very impressed, did upgrade to luxury plus van, but all 4 of us for 98.00 including service charge, for 3 nts was still good value. very clean park, plenty of parking, in car parks, not by van. we used the lovely pool, we used the mash and barrel onsite pub, lovely, outside play grounds, good spar shop on site, a very helpfukil gentleman in there too! there is not much in burnham itself, except a great 99p shop, more in weston s mare or street shopping village. also went to cheddar gorge which was nice. the weather was amazing for april, hottest weekend of the year, fab!! been to this park twice, would recommend, and def go again!!

This is my second year in a Safari Tent - if you don't like the idea of tents and sleeping bags, this is the trip for you. Our party had 3 tents, it's a secure area so the children could safetly roam free, we had outdoor BBQ's, toasted marshmallows shared breakfast and dinners with our friends. The beds are extremely confortable and if you have 3 children you still only need 1 tent! You have basic cooking facilities and the couple who look after the camping part of the park couldn't have been more helpful! Was a fab trip! Would highly recommend the safari tents

Thank you for your recent Trip Advisor review. I am so pleased to hear you and your family had a lovely holiday with us for a second time in our Safari Tents. They are perfect if you're unsure about how you feel about camping and want to ease yourself into it with a bit of glamping! I will be sure to pass on your kind comments to Jim and Ceri, our Touring Wardens, who look after our Safari Tents for us and we hope to see you again for a third trip! :) Pippa Jarvis Holiday Experience Manager

What can i say we checked into our caravan which was immaculate I can't fault it in any way, the site is very well maintained, the staff go beyond the call of duty. It was lovely to receive a phone call after check in to make sure everything was OK, it's the small touches that make all the difference. I had a bad experience with the mash and barrel at another site but I tried it here and I can't believe the difference. The food was amazing the staff am outstanding especially Trish and hazel. There is plenty to do for everyone. The beach is literally over the road and is brilliant and lovely and clean. The entertainment is outstanding the fun stars do a woneedful job they always say hello to the kids when they see them around the site,. My only gripe was the arcade staff were rude and very nasty at one pointime other than than may you keep up the brilliant work in keeping this site the best we'very been to.

Thank you for such a lovely review of our park. I am so pleased to hear your accommodation was immaculate and all the team you came across went above and beyond to make sure your holiday was the best it could possibly be. I will be sure to pass on your kind comments to our team in the Mash and Barrel, especially Trish and Hazel! I am so sorry to hear that your experience with the team in the arcade was not up to our usual high standards and I will be sure to raise this with our Arcade Manager. We hope to see you again soon :) Pippa Jarvis Holiday Experience Manager

Visited Burnham on sea Holiday Park this weekend, Friday to Monday. Lovely, clean Park with helpful, friendly staff. Security was excellent with regular 24hr patrols. Luxurious caravan with good parking spaces. Good access to prom and short walk into town. Will definitely return.

  • Cleanliness

Our Safety team are on hand over night to help any of our guests who need it and make regular patrols to make sure everyone is kept safe during their stay. We look forward to welcoming you back to Burnham soon :) Pippa Jarvis Holiday Experience Manager

Amazing the difference a year can make. Was so excited for my daughters 1st seaside holiday, couldn't believe my eyes when we opened the caravan door.. The smell of smoke made you feel sick and things just got worse from there. We had no batteries in the remote so couldn't watch the television (well if that's what you call it as it was no bigger than about 14inch), no bedding or sheets for the pull out bed, half the lights didnt work, black hairs all over the beds, carpet was dirty and full of bits. We had the smallest fridge for a family of 8 just about managed to get 2 bottles of milk in there. The shower was full of hair the toilet didn't flush. We spent the first day cleaning after moving the sofas to sweep up with a dirty old brush we found left over chocolate and sticky sweets previous residents socks and pants the plugs didn't work in one of the bedrooms and everywhere was stained yellow and thick of dust. Duvet covers didn't fit the duvets was all bumpy and uncomfortable. There was no coat hangers for your clothes so everything had to be left in suitcases. Overall very dissatisfied and will not be returning.

Thank you for taking the time to review our park. I am so sorry to hear you had such a disappointing experience. We do ask our guests to bring any concerns to our attention as soon as possible so we can rectify them quickly for you. Our team would have been more than happy to address your concerns if we had been aware of them. If you'd like to discuss this further please feel free to contact me directly on [email protected] and I will do my best to help. Pippa Jarvis Holiday Experience Manager

I gave this 5* two yrs ago and would've this time but I feel it's neglected a few areas unfortunately. But, it didn't takeaway what a fab holiday we had. Before arriving I'd requested to stay in Avalon Way as previously stayed there and was pleased this was granted. It's right next to the beach in a quiet cul-de-sac area and not too far to walk to all the amenities. We had upgraded too and had a fabulous caravan with verandah which was perfect for sunbathing in the week. No drinks on arrival this time, but was nice to have the funstars there greeting the kids and free face painting. Lunch on the first day was a disaster in the Mash and Barrel. Few meals not available. Orders incorrect. Delays with meals. After complaining to the Manager we had a partial refund which was fair but it didn't get the holiday off to a good start. After holidaying in most Haven parks we find the restaurants often lacking in good food and service and it's a shame because it's not rocket science getting it right. We ate out all week afterwards. Evening entertainment wasn't bad, the funstars work so hard and deserve good feedback. They are great with the kids. The shop was disappointing again. Exorbitant prices as always but running out of the basics like the tubes for the sweet machines. Come on Haven these are basic things every business should get right. Bar prices high as always but service good. On site chippy was good. Small portions for the price again but that's holiday camps. Arcades were great for the kids but the prizes were rubbish. Cheap and nasty for what it was. One ride for £1 lasted 29 seconds!!!!!!! The park was great, swimming pool good too but needs more cleaning in the changing rooms as they were very dirty. Despite its failings, we remain big Haven fans and have planned more but we are starting to try the smaller holiday park companies and so far have been very pleased.

Thank you for taking the time to review our park. I am so pleased to hear you had a lovely holiday with us though I am sorry you feel some areas have been neglected. Our team will always do their best to meet our guests requests and I am so pleased we were able to allocate a holiday home for you in the area you requested. I am sorry that your holiday did not get the best start as it should have and I will be sure to pass your feedback on to our team in the Mash and Barrel. I am so pleased to hear you remain big Haven fans and we hope to see you again soon :) Pippa Jarvis Holiday Experience Manager

Stayed here for a 7 nights break in early July. Nice clean camp not as big as some havens we have been to. Stayed in a new standard caravan which was very clean and modern. Bars and restaurants and all haven camps are just to expensive I think they should bring there prices down. As it is familys that use these camps mostly. I know they are running a business and need to make a profit but come on give these family's a break they save all year for there annual holiday. We only used the outdoor pool once as there was a queue to use this facility. I counted 35 heads in the pool and from an health and safety point of view I believe there could of been 50. But there wasn't even a time limit so in the summer holidays I think this would become a problem. The lakes on the camp are beautiful. Beach's am sorry around burnham on sea are not very good and for this reason we would not return to this camp. Staff on the camp are very helpful and polite.

Thank you for your review! We are pleased to hear you found your accommodation clean and modern and our team helpful and polite. We are lucky to have some beautiful fishing lakes and views on our park. We take the health and safety of our guests very seriously here at Burnham and will always operate on the correct ratio of guests in the pool to lifeguards though I am sorry you felt there could have been more guests in the pool. I will pass on your comments regarding our prices and time limit on our pools to the relevant managers. We hope you choose to return to Burnham in the future :) Bobbie Clark

We first visited 5 years ago and a!ways said we would go back. So we booked a 3 night break over the Whitsun bank holiday weekend. I always check the price match and ended up with an upgraded caravan with decking, for a cheaper price than my original booking. Fabulous spot by the fishing lake which we could see from our caravan. 3 bed prestige with decking was very nice and more importantly lovely and clean. A short walk from the main area, but in a lovely quiet spot. Park was lovely and clean with excellent facilities. The evening entertainment was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. If you exit at the rear of the park, you come to the beach and there you have about a 15 minute walk into Burnham, so no need to use the car. Outdoor pool, crazy golf and tennis courts are just some of the facilities on offer. Overwll and well run, tidy park in a great location with excellent facilities. We would definitely come again. Note - no WiFi in the caravans!

  • Cleanliness

Thank you for your review! We are pleased you enjoyed your stay here and got a good deal on an upgraded holiday home. It's great to know it was lovely and clean and you were able to enjoy some fabulous views to one of our fishing lakes. We are happy you experienced some of our activities and entertainment on offer and also enjoyed the surrounding area! The team work had to keep the park well maintained and clean and will be pleased with your comments, at this time the WiFi does not extend to our holiday homes though we hope you were able to enjoy the complimentary WiFi in the complex. We hope to see you back at Burnham in the future :) Bobbie Clark Holiday Experience

Second recent Haven trip after 4 nights in Lakeland last summer, family of 4 with two young children (5 & 2). To run through the main points: Check-In/Accomodation: Check-in was fine, we were due at 4 but were around reception area a few minutes earlier. Got to the front of the queue and were told it wasn't quite ready (it was 3:55), this seemed a little pedantic but understand check-in is a somewhat chaotic time. Greatly surprised though to find out we had been given a free upgrade to a Prestige with decking caravan - this was very much appreciated - not least due to the heat during our stay - this was a big plus point to our stay. The accomodation therefore more than met expectations, was tidy and clean as to be expected. Entertainment/Site Facilities: On-site shop was fine, had pretty much everything you need. Fair sized arcade area which kept the little ones entertained. Swimming pool was superior to Lakeland, the main pool temperature was perhaps a tad too cold (after spending an hour in there our 5 year old's lips were blue - not an exaggeration!), but both kids enjoyed it greatly and was a welcome relief from the heat. Entertainment in the main show bar was great for the children, ours are generally quite shy but were quite taken with the team (in particular one of the team, Laura maybe?) who did a great job, and by the week seemed quite willing participants. Play Areas: Difficult to make use of due to the heat in the middle of the day in this particular week, but more than sufficient to keep young ones entertained. Overall this is a nice little site and was perfect for a family with children our age. The site was also just over the road from the beach, which was a convenient walk. Not too much negative to say, to an extent a caravan holiday is somewhat a budget holiday, and some of the guests/clientele we walked past (particularly in the Brent View area) would have been a particular nuisance to be situated near, but this is luck of the draw I guess. Also for the second year running at Haven we walked past areas where the smell of certain things being smoked was clearly evident, which didn't bother us too much, but you could do without this at a family site. But again, I think this is more a reflection of the clientele than Haven. Overall though a good holiday, and would certainly book with Haven again whilst kids are at a young age.

Thank you for your review! We are happy you were pleased with your accommodation and found it tidy and clean, it's wonderful you received a complimentary upgrade upon arrival. The team work hard to get all guests into their accommodation as soon as we can and we appreciate your understanding that check in days can be a chaotic time. It's great you enjoyed some of our on site entertainment and activities, I will pass on your comments to the team regarding the pool temperature. Laura will be pleased she made a difference to your children's time here with us. We hope to welcome you and your family back soon to make some more memories with us here at Burnham :) Bobbie Clark Holiday Experience

This was our first time staying at Haven Burnham-On-Sea having previously visited several other Haven parks. We booked a STANDARD newer model (3 bedrooms). The caravan was spotlessly clean on arrival with a small packet of sweets, coffee, sugar and milk left as a welcome pack. This was a nice surprise after a 5 hour journey. The downside; standard should mean BASIC. Whilst the caravan was less than 6 months old it was tiny. There was hardly any storage space to speak of, the twin rooms had a small wall unit with hanging rail but no shelves or drawers for clothes. There were two small drawers in the main bedroom but certainly not enough for even one person. None of the units had doors. There was one empty cupboard in the kitchen area for food but again this was tiny so don’t expect to get more than a couple of days food in at any one time. The living area was compact with only one window that opens. There’s only one bathroom with a small shower (I would say larger guests would find this very difficult to use). It is at best basic and I would not choose a standard caravan again. The park itself is lovely. The grounds are kept very clean. There are nice areas to walk around and our kids enjoyed strolling around the fishing ponds in the evening feeding the ducks. Sadly we saw more than one goose with fishing wire tangled around their legs. I can only hope that the staff are able to help them. The park seems to be all on one level so is great for guests that might struggle with hills. The entertainment complex is really nice. There is a large arcade, upstairs entertainment and mash and barrel restaurant. Outside is a large swimming pool, playground and activity areas. There is also and indoor pool which we only used once as we were lucky to have great weather so used the outdoor pool every day. There aren’t a lot of sun beds around the pool but we took our own chairs and there was plenty of space on the grass. The OUTDOOR POOL. This was heated so was great for the kids. Those under 8 have to wear a wrist band. There were always 4 life guards on duty, 2 working the entrance gate. There was a queue every day of people waiting to use the pool. The max limit is 100 but the life guard told us they keep it at less than this on hot days (no idea why hot weather means lower capacity?). They are constantly trying to do a head count of people in the pool only allowing people to enter as others exit. Here lies the problem. After queuing for over 20 minutes to get in the pool and only 10 minutes in it, my 4 year old needed the toilet. The life guard (Ajay) would not let us use the toilet without us then having to join the queue again to get back in! When I said how ridiculous this was as she is only 4 he said it was policy and that she should just pee in the pool as that would be fine! Not happy with this I asked to speak to a manager. She (Amanda) agreed to allow us to use the toilet and said it was just to stop people skipping the queue when they get out and that the life guards are supposed to use there own discretion when letting people use the toilet. Other people over hearing complained the same has happened to them with children. What was even more frustrating was that later after this incident in the queue again the person in front of me asked if he could go in the pool with his baby (only one person had gotten out) and the same lifeguard (Ajay) said “sorry I can’t let you in yet, there’s too many grasses”. A clear dig at me for having complained about him earlier and disgraceful behaviour from a member of Haven staff. Thank fully all other members of staff were lovely, the entertainment team worked hard and the security were always friendly and welcoming.

Thank you for your review! We are pleased you found your accommodation clean and enjoyed the welcome pack on arrival. I am sorry you felt the standard van was basic and small. We provide details and attributes of all our grades on our website and I do hope this helps you choose a holiday home more suited to your needs in the future. Our team work hard to keep our grounds well maintained and clean and they will appreciate your comments, we try our best to monitor the welfare of our wildlife and help where possible. We are happy to hear you enjoyed some of our on site entertainment and activities. I am sorry that you felt a team member was making a dig at you and found his behaviour disgraceful, I have passed this onto our Leisure Manager and she will investigate this further within her team to ensure all guests have the experience we hope for. It's great to know the security team were friendly and welcoming and we hope to see you at Burnham again in the future :) Bobbie Holiday Experience

Caravan was lovely, good standard and clean. Site brilliant for children, lots of activities meant they didn’t want to leave! Felt safe around indoor and outdoor pool as lifeguards really good. Having the outdoor pool made our holiday. Some scruffy people leaving rubbish on floor instead of using bins and could have done with seeing staff cleaning around. Plenty of changing areas for outdoor pool. Staff excellent, my sons thought the security guards were really friendly as they always asked for high five and if they were enjoying their holiday. My son actually said how nice they were. Nighttime entertainment good for young children. WiFi available for free in entertainment areas. Overall a brilliant holiday and definitely book haven again,

Thank you for your review! We are happy you found your accommodation of a good standard and clean. It's great to hear the leisure team made you and your family feel safe and secure. We will ensure the team are doing regular patrols to keep the park clean and tidy. It's wonderful to hear the security team were excellent and friendly, they will pleased with your comments. We look forward to seeing you and family back at Burnham to make some more memories! Bobbie Clark Holiday Experience
