Disney Cruise Line’s Halloween on the High Seas 2022 Dates & Details

disney cruise halloween wish

Halloween on the High Seas will return to Disney Cruise Line with more sailings than ever before and new one-of-a-kind experiences for families in September and October 2022. Guest-favorite entertainment and activities, including trick-or-treating, spooky parties, elaborate décor and themed food and beverage items, will await guests on these limited-time voyages as each ship transforms into a ghoulish wonderland.

Halloween on the High Seas voyages will be offered aboard select Disney Cruise Line sailings aboard the Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy, plus the new Disney Wish ship. Sail dates occur from September 12, 2022 through early November 2022, including a flagship 4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral aboard the Disney Wish that starts on Halloween. These sailings depart from ports in Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida plus San Diego, California and New York City, New York.

Each cruise will take families to fascinating destinations including the Bahamas, Caribbean, California, Bermuda, Canada, and Mexico. All sailings from Port Canaveral and Miami will include a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise outfitted for family fun and relaxation and brimming with special Disney touches, including the following DCL fan favorites…

First up is Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party. Guests of all ages won’t want to miss this spooktacular event. The atrium in each Disney Cruise Line ship will come alive with ghoulish games, trick-or-treating, and dancing, plus the famous Disney characters in their Halloween costumes.

Next up is Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream. It’s “Season’s Screamings” during this interactive movie experience—with Jack Skellington and Sally greeting guests plus a special interactive Sing and Scream experience featuring the classic film, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Up on deck, check out the campfire-style Haunted Stories of the Sea, featuring a spooky ghost story or two. Additionally, Halloween-themed movies will be shown on Funnel Vision by the family pool and in staterooms.

Other fun family activities during Halloween on the High Seas include mask-making, pumpkin-carving, and a ghostly takeover of Disney Cruise Line ship announcements. Guests will also enjoy special Halloween-themed food and beverage items during rotational dining and elsewhere in DCL restaurants.

Finally, proving that Halloween isn’t just for kids , adults will have their fun and (not-so) frightful festivities. Adult-exclusive venues across the fleet will become a ghoulish setting for costume contests and a Villainous Takeover on the dance floor.

In terms of what’s new for 2022, Disney Cruise Line guests will be the first to experience an all-new character meet and greet opportunity across the fleet during Halloween on the High Seas sailings.

While all of the Disney characters on board will adorn Halloween costumes as part of the festivities, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow will debut a never-before-seen look as they dress up as their favorite Halloween sisters, the Sandersons from the movie “Hocus Pocus.”

During its inaugural season of Halloween cruises in Fall 2022, the Disney Wish, the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, will introduce a unique twist on a Halloween on the High Seas hallmark.

The centerpiece of every ship during Halloween sailings is the signature magical Pumpkin Tree towering over the atrium lobby, each with sprouting Jack-O-Lanterns and flickering lights.

Aboard the Disney Wish, guests will witness the debut of an all-new Pumpkin Tree in the “Cinderella”-inspired Grand Hall. Featuring lighter bark, graceful branches and a mystical face, this enchanted tree that grew perfect gourds with the help of a Wishing Star at night produced the perfect pumpkin that became the coach that carried Cinderella to the Prince’s Ball.

In terms of commentary, this all sounds pretty fun. In particular, the Disney characters as the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus looks awesome. We’d love to see much more of these Disney character costume crossovers, and  really miss  the ones they used to do for Star Wars Weekends.

(Side note: since Disney bought Lucasfilm, they’ve been treating the franchise with way too much reverence. It’s a soap opera in outer space populated by ridiculous aliens and a variety of nonsense. There’s nothing wrong with a little fun! This is the type of synergy to embrace!)

We’re also keeping our excitement and expectations in check, as we previously did one of DCL’s Christmas cruises, and it was a bit underwhelming. (See our Very Merrytime Christmas Cruise Review .) Perhaps that was simply a matter of unrealistic expectations–something we probably don’t have to as great of a degree when it comes to Halloween.

From our perspective, the Very Merrytime Christmas Cruise would’ve been better with a holiday-themed deck party, substantive stage show, daytime entertainment, themed menus & desserts, scavenger hunt, and more decorations. It doesn’t sound like Halloween on the High Seas has any of this, either.

disney cruise halloween wish

With that said, we’ve done other themed sailings aboard Disney Cruise Line and have really enjoyed them. Both Frozen and Star Wars Day at Sea were really fun, but again, we went in without any expectations. By contrast, we’ve experienced Christmas (and Halloween, for that matter) at Walt Disney World.

Ultimately, Halloween on the High Seas sounds like a lot of fun, and we’re glad to see Disney Cruise Line bringing it back for 2022. Several of the itineraries out of San Diego are actually on our “list” of cruises to do/places to visit, but whether we actually follow through on that this year remains to be seen, and is likely a matter of discount availability (or lack thereof). It’s already shaping up to be a pricey return to cruising for us with the Disney Wish launching, so maybe we’ll take a rain check until Halloween on the High Seas 2023.

We’ve done the Halloween cruise once and I agree with you when you say temper your expectations. The pumpkin tree is cute, but the character appearances and activities are pretty fleeting, blink and you miss it, and it all feels a bit anemic compared to Halloween in the parks where the decorations are so abundant.

' src=

I absolutely love Clarabelle, Minnie, & Daisy as the Sanderson Sisters! So cute! We booked quasi (weekend in between to get from Port Canaveral to Miami) back to back cruises on the Wish & the Dream ages ago, when they first released and the prices were pretty good so we bit. Those sailings were later announced as Halloween on the High Seas, which sounded fun. But now I’m super excited. And while I’ve gone off WDW with all the nickel & dime-ing, we have 2 days of complimentary tickets to use up before they expire, so we’ll hit up MK for MNSSHP as well. It’s a big ticket price, but since our other two days are free… I do have one question about that though. We’ll be there for a Sunday & a Tuesday. Turns out the Tuesday is the first $159 priced party though. We could go on the Sunday & save $20 per ticket, but you recommend the Tuesday party to have fewer locals. Won’t early October parties sell out regardless? Would you pay the extra & go on the Tuesday? Please be honest, as an extra $40 for the two of us won’t break the bank. Thanks for any insight you can offer. And thanks for this post & the other Halloween ones today. It was great to wake up to your email with all the news!

' src=

I would just do Sunday in that case. They’re both weeknights and you get to save the money, with a decently strong probability that both will sell out.

With that said, I would expect a lot of people to have the same line of thinking as you, so if (for some reason) demand is somehow much weaker this year, that Sunday party will likely be the busier of the two, as tourists with weeklong trips will target that last cheap night.

Thanks for that Tom. Makes sense. And I got to thinking that logistically it’s better for us to do the Tuesday. I plan to linger after the party until the last possible moment so won’t get to be until well after 1am, but want to rope drop EPCOT Monday morning, whereas on the Wednesday we have an early afternoon flight home, so can linger in bed longer. My only fear is that if the fireworks get cancelled we miss it. Whereas if we go Sunday, there is always a “chance” of getting another party ticket for the Tuesday. Do the fireworks get cancelled often at MK? (It happened to us once at the DL Halloween Party). Also, are the stage shows cancelled in the rain? Does Disney have a plan B? I would not be happy to pay $159 and not get the entertainment! Hmmm…

Disney Wish Halloween on the High Seas Review – Is it Worth It?

a wide shot of the Disney Wish Pumpkin Tree

My family’s first-ever cruise was a 4-night Disney Wish Halloween on the High Seas cruise. I mean, go big or go home, right?

Since 2022 marked the beginning of the Wish’s inaugural sailings, we also went into our Halloween on the High Seas cruise a bit blind.

We weren’t sure if the Disney Wish would have all of the same Halloween features and activities as the older four ships. There wasn’t a lot of info about it online from the handful of Halloween cruises that sailed before ours.

As it turns out, your expectations for Halloween on the High Seas on Disney Wish need to be very different from what you’ve seen on the first four ships. And I don’t necessarily mean for the better…

Don’t get me wrong, we LOVED our first cruise (and are scheduled to sail the Fantasy next year). But there were a few things I’d hoped for that didn’t happen, as well as things that did .

I’m happy to share everything I know about the Wish Halloween cruise with you so you’re better prepared than I was!

When do Disney Halloween cruises start?

You can set sail on a Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Halloween on the High Seas cruise starting in mid-September.

Specifically for the Wish in 2023, the spooky sailings begin on September 15th. There are 3-night and 4-night cruises available.

a wide shot of the crowd on the pool deck at Mickey's Mouse-querade Party on the Disney Wish

What ports does the Disney Wish visit on Halloween cruises?

Almost every Disney Wish Halloween on the High Seas itinerary stops at both Nassau, Bahamas, and Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, no matter how many nights you’re cruising.

For 2023, there is a single three-night itinerary that only stops once at Castaway Cay, and that’s the very first one that leaves on September 15th.

Is a Halloween on the High Seas cruise more expensive?

While you might think a specially-themed cruise would be more expensive than, say, a regular old summertime cruise, you’d be wrong!

When we priced out cruises on the Disney Wish, the HOTHS cruises were some of the cheapest for the entire year.

This is for two main reasons:

  • Most kids are in school throughout September and October, and
  • Fall is still very much part of hurricane season.

Even taking our kids on a Wish cruise that fell on Fall Break for their school district (and therefore likely many other schools across the country, too), the price was lower than summertime.

The demand is simply much higher for summer cruises, so the price goes up accordingly.

Just be prepared for last-minute changes, delays, and even rebooking when choosing a Halloween on the High Seas cruise.

The 3-night cruise scheduled right before ours was completely canceled because of Hurricane Ian. We were extremely grateful that ours went according to plan!

Does Halloween on the High Seas have a Pirate Night?

YES, there is a Pirate Night on a Halloween Disney cruise! Disney cruise itineraries that would normally have a Pirate Night still celebrate it on Halloween cruises – even on 3-night cruises.

They usually have the two pirate deck parties on one night and Mickey’s Mouse-querade on the other so you don’t have to miss out on either of them. (But you will be pooped at the end of a three-nighter!)

What is Halloween on the High Seas like on Disney Wish?

The best way to describe a Disney Wish Halloween cruise, from a first-timer’s perspective, is… lacking.

One of the first things I did when we got to the cruise terminal was to connect to the Wish’s Wifi and browse our Halloween on the High Seas navigator for each day. That’s the official activity schedule for your cruise.

While many big things I’d been hoping for but were unsure of ended up being on the schedule, some key points I’d read about for other ships’ spooky sailings were not.

And they never showed up, despite me constantly checking the navigator for last-minute updates.

But I’ll get to that in a little bit.

Let’s talk about what the Disney Wish DOES have on its Halloween cruises!

the pumpkin tree from the Disney Wish, lit up

Fall Decorations

You first step foot on the Disney Wish straight into the Grand Hall, a three-story atrium featuring a grand staircase, a stunning chandelier, and a Juliet balcony over a marble stage.

If I hadn’t been looking for Halloween touches, I might’ve missed the fall garland strung around all the balconies of the Grand Hall. The colors were just… odd.

The “greenery” was actually a very subdued gold color, with similarly metallic pumpkins attached throughout. The brightest color visible was in the red leaves.

a wide shot of the Disney Wish chandelier with fall garland around the Grand Hall balconies behind it

As a lover of all orange, purple, lime, and black Halloween decor, I’d hoped for something more in-your-face. But the garland did grow on me over the course of our cruise.

And while I can’t be sure if they were exclusive to Halloween cruises on the Disney Wish, we also spotted some villainous faces on many of the porthole windows near the Grand Hall!

line art of Hades from Disney's Hercules on a porthole window on the Disney Wish

Other than these things (and the tree, which I’ll talk about next), I didn’t see any other Halloween – or even fall – theming throughout the ship. Color me sad.

Disney Wish Pumpkin Tree

Every older Disney cruise ship has been decorated with a large, festive Pumpkin Tree in its atrium during Halloween cruises.

The Wish, thankfully, upholds this tradition. And in my opinion, they really went the extra mile to make the Wish’s tree the most special of them all!

Rather than a goofy or spooky face in the trunk, the Wish’s tree has a rather beautiful face carved into it.

a closeup of the face carved into the Disney Wish pumpkin tree

The tree is completely covered in colorful fallen leaves. And while the pumpkins hanging from it are also metallic shades of orange and gold, I actually really liked the way they looked on the tree.

Pumpkin Tree Lighting and Story

On the first night of your Halloween cruise on the Wish, you’ll see a “Pumpkin Tree Lighting” activity scheduled for around 7:45PM in the Grand Hall.

Do NOT miss this! And get there early if you want a great spot right in front of the tree. You’ll want to be somewhere between the tree and the stage if possible – trust me on this.

Also, make sure you bring your Wish wands that are handed out when you first board the ship – they’ll come in handy during the lighting!

On our sailing, the gathering started with a SURPRISE reveal of certain spooky Disney Wish characters on the stage. I won’t tell you who, but you might be able to figure it out if you keep reading! 😉

Next, a story is told by Lady Lily and Lord Leopold (new characters exclusive to the Wish) about how the ship’s pumpkin tree came to be.

Her name is Boo, and with the help of a Wishing Star, she’s able to grow “perfect” pumpkins.

As it turns out, she is the tree that grew the pumpkin that became Cinderella’s coach! Very fitting for a ship named Wish with Cinderella as the bronze statue in the Grand Hall.

When the story is over, the tree will be “lit” and you’ll finally be able to see the awesome carvings in the pumpkins in detail.

Special Halloween on the High Seas Meet and Greets

While all Disney cruises are chock full of character meet-and-greets, the Halloween cruises have some exclusive characters.

Now, they even have a trio you can’t meet anywhere in the parks!

Characters in Costumes

Just for Halloween on the High Seas, you’ll get to meet with ALL of the classic characters in special Halloween costumes.

This includes:

  • Mickey as a vampire
  • Minnie as a witch
  • Donald as a superhero
  • Daisy as a spider-lady (a black widow, perhaps?)
  • Goofy as a mummy
  • Pluto as a candy corn
  • Chip as a bucket of candy
  • Dale as a poisoned apple

These costumes are all elaborate and gorgeous. They were my favorite of the whole cruise!

NEW! The Sanderson Sisters

While not exclusive to the Disney Wish, the sisters from Hocus Pocus were a brand-new addition to Disney Cruise Line ships in 2022.

You’ll get to see Minnie as Winnie (haha), Daisy as Sarah, and Clarabelle as Mary.

a family posing with Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle dressed as the Sanderson sisters on the Disney Wish Grand Hall stage

They only appear together and always on the Grand Hall stage, making these some of the best pictures you can get during your cruise.

Unfortunately, they are so popular and the line gets so long every time they meet, you are shepherded onto the stage for a quick photo before being asked to step down. There’s no time for hugs or autographs.

My advice: get to one of the meets as early as you can! On our cruise, the first one was at 10:00PM the first night, and that ended up being one of the least-crowded opportunities.

Halloween Crafts

Various crafting opportunities are held throughout every Disney cruise. On the Halloween ones, though, they tend to lean to the spooky side!

You’ll spot specific Halloween craft opportunities at Edge and Vibe on the navigator.

There are also family craft events in The Bayou that may be Halloween-themed, though it’s not specified in the schedule.

Spooky Treats

While I didn’t come across a lot of Halloween-themed drinks or foods on the Disney Wish, there were a couple of seasonal standouts.

On the evening of our cruise’s Halloween celebrations, our Disney Wish dining rotation had us in Arendelle. We ordered Elsa’s Coronation Sundae for dessert.

Instead of a Frozen-themed chocolate piece on top, it had a pumpkin Mickey head chocolate square!

a dessert called It's Elsa's Coronation Sundae from the Arendelle restaurant on the Disney Wish with a chocolate square featuring a pumpkin Mickey head on top

Cove Cafe in the adults-only area of deck 13 also had some seasonal drink offerings, including a Toasted Marshmallow and a Black Forest Latte.

I decided to try a frozen Speculoos Latte (speculoos is better known as Biscoff or cookie butter) and it was to die for (pun intended)!

a frozen speculoos latte from Cove Cafe on the Disney Wish

Unfortunately, I never saw any other Halloween-related treats – not even on the buffet at Marceline Market. We never had a chance to check out Joyfeel Sweets, though, which may have had some seasonal offerings.

Disney Wish Trick-or-Treating

Try and finish dinner early on the night of your Halloween deck party, because Trick-or-Treating is scheduled on the pool deck around 7:15PM!

This was the second night of our 4-night cruise, but it’ll likely be the last night of a 3-night cruise (since the second night is dedicated to Pirate Night).

When we got to the pool deck, we were handed small bags with advertisements for Hocus Pocus 2 on them.

There were several stations set up around deck 11 for the kids to get handfuls of candy in them!

The deck was already so crowded by the time we got up there (because this is right before the Mouse-querade Party), we only hit two stations before trying to get a decent spot in front of the stage.

Even those two stations garnered my kids enough candy to last them through the rest of the cruise and still have some to take home!

a bowl full of candy received at trick-or-treating on the Disney Wish

I have also read that trick-or-treating has also been held at Hero Zone, the sports facility, on the Disney Wish. So check your navigator app to confirm the location!

Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party

The big character Halloween party on the Disney Wish was set to start at 7:45PM. For our cruise, it was on the pool deck, but apparently, it can be moved to the Grand Hall if the weather is bad.

DO. NOT. MISS. THIS.

If you’ve specifically booked a Halloween on the High Seas cruise, it would be crazy to miss the Halloween show anyway.

But even if you didn’t book based on the seasonal festivities, you are sure to LOVE this show!

Pluto wearing a candy corn hat and collar during Mickey's Mouse-querade party

It was by far my favorite deck party of the whole cruise. More than Mickey’s pirate party, more than the Parlay party, it got me SO pumped!

The music choices are simply excellent, and those characters have got some amazing dance moves.

Mickey, in particular, slayed .

This was the single event that made me truly glad we sailed Halloween on the High Seas!

Kids-Only Parties

On the Halloween night of your Wish cruise (or the Halloween/Pirate combo night, if you’re on a 3-night) there are special parties for each age group in their respective clubs.

The Oceaneer Club specifically lists a “Halloween Party” starting around 10:00PM for kids 3 to 12 years old on deck 2.

Edge and Vibe also host Halloween parties that start in their respective clubs on decks 5 and 12. They will probably be on your schedule around 10:00PM or 11:00PM, depending on your itinerary.

Halloween Movies

We really lucked out on our first Halloween cruise!

We happened to board the Disney Wish the Monday after Hocus Pocus 2 was released on Disney+. Since we’d spent the weekend before the cruise at Disney World, we hadn’t had time to watch it yet.

But just as I had hoped, Hocus Pocus 2 was shown in the Walt Disney Theatre on the one night that didn’t have a Broadway-style show scheduled.

a projection of "Walt Disney Theatre" on the Disney Wish's WDT projection screen

This was actually Pirate Night on the Disney Wish , but I wasn’t complaining!

The new movie also aired several times in the Wonderland and Never Land cinemas.

In addition, the two smaller movie theaters both aired other spooky Disney movies throughout the cruise.

On our navigator, I spotted Haunted Mansion and the original Hocus Pocus .

In honor of the Day of the Dead, some Halloween cruises also show The Book of Life and Coco .

Other movies may be put into the rotation from cruise to cruise, as Disney has a rather large catalog of Halloween-themed movies.

Exclusive Halloween on the High Seas Merchandise

Every Halloween on the High Seas cruise has exclusive Halloween-themed merchandise for sale at Mickey’s Mainsail, and the Disney Wish is no different!

While I was somewhat disappointed by the overall merchandise offerings, there were plenty of Halloween shirts and accessories to be had.

The fleet-wide Halloween stateroom decor was also available for purchase before embarkation day.

What the Disney Wish Halloween Cruise Doesn’t Have

Alrighty, here’s where I have to make my confession.

After learning all about what Halloween on the High Seas is like on the four older cruise ships, I was really excited to experience those things on the brand-new Disney Wish!

Unfortunately, the Wish was lacking in a lot of DCL’s usual Halloween fanfare.

Why? I’m not sure. But I can’t imagine what could’ve happened to prevent some of the following from happening. So it seems leaving them out was simply a choice – and in my humble opinion, a terrible one.

Haunted Stories by the Sea

The Pumpkin Tree lighting is the only time you’re going to hear a Halloween-related story, and it’s not even scary.

While the haunted stories weren’t on my must-do list, it is definitely not on the Wish’s schedule at all.

Halloween Trivia

Listen, there is NO excuse for not having Halloween-themed trivia on the Disney Wish. No costumes, props, or special venues are necessary!

Halloween trivia could have easily been held at Luna, Triton Lounge, or one of the many other spaces aboard the Disney Wish.

Leaving it out was simply lazy.

Halloween Isn’t Just for Kids

I presume this adults-only Halloween party (usually featuring favorite Disney villains) didn’t happen on the Wish because of the changes in the ship’s layout.

The adult areas are no longer grouped together in a single “district,” and are instead spread out throughout deck 3 (with the sports bar Keg & Compass up on deck 5). Hallways weave between them that children also have to be able to walk through.

Still, I was pretty bummed we didn’t get to experience this event.

Personally, I think they could’ve held it in Luna (equivalent to D Lounge on older ships) and had cast members at the entrances making sure children didn’t enter.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Arguably Disney’s most popular spooky IP of all time, the only trace of anything Nightmare Before Christmas -related on the Disney Wish Halloween cruise was Jack Skellington on a porthole window.

line art of Jack Skellington on a porthole window on the Disney Wish

There was no Sing and Scream in the Walt Disney Theatre on the first night (or any other).

The movie was never aired – not once – in either of the cinemas, either.

And worst of all: there were absolutely zero meet-and-greets with Jack and Sally. Not one. And there could’ve been exactly one opportunity at midnight with a line a mile long, and I still would’ve been happy with that over nothing .

As someone who has loved NBXmas since it first came out, this was a MASSIVE letdown.

The only two places you can meet these characters are at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Disney cruise ships, so leaving them off of a cruise ship is… cruel.

Had I known ahead of time poor old Jack wouldn’t be found anywhere on the Disney Wish, there’s a really solid chance I would’ve booked a different ship. Seriously.

Tips for a Disney Wish Halloween Cruise

If you’re like me, taking a Halloween on the High Seas cruise might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for your family.

Sure, you might cruise with Disney again, but it might not be during Halloween time!

While I honestly believe you might be better served choosing the Magic, Wonder, Fantasy, or Dream for your one-and-only Halloween Disney cruise, I’m happy to provide insight on how to make the most of a Halloween cruise on the Disney Wish.

Book a 4-Night Cruise

I know sometimes you just can’t make this choice, but if possible, DO NOT book a 3-night Halloween on the High Seas cruise.

There’s simply too much you’ll want to take part in, and too little time to do it all.

Keep in mind that on the Wish especially, there are non-Halloween characters you’re likely going to want to meet. Black Panther, Spider-Man, Chewbacca, Storm Troopers…

Now add in a long line for the Sanderson Sisters. And the eight classic characters dressed in their Halloween costumes. It’s a lot to accomplish!

If you’re willing to give up Castaway Cay time, you might be able to meet non-seasonal characters on island day so you have more time to see Halloween costumes on your Nassau day. But who wants to give up snorkeling at Castaway Cay ?

Three-night Disney Wish cruises do separate the entertainment, with Pirate Night deck parties on the second night and Mickey’s Mouse-querade on the third night. But the kids’ Halloween parties are still scheduled on Pirate Night.

Oh, and you still have your evening performance of The Little Mermaid to squeeze in on that second night.

In my opinion, that is way too much for kids to handle in one day. You’d likely have to miss out on something (or several things).

So, if at all possible, spring for the 4-night Disney Wish Halloween on the High Seas cruise. And if the Wish starts sailing longer itineraries, just go for the longest one you can.

Order the Halloween Decor from Onboard Gifts

Before you even set sail, you can log into your Disney Cruise account and purchase the Halloween stateroom decor. The items included are:

  • a sherpa blanket
  • a pumpkin Mickey pillow
  • a felt trick-or-treat bag
  • a door magnet
  • two hanging banners

It should all be set up in your Disney Wish room before you enter it for the first time on embarkation day! This is a great way to surprise your kids with something special (that they can also take home).

For 2022, this package was $97 before tax.

a bed on the Disney Wish with purchased Halloween stateroom decor (a blanket and pillow) on it

Get the Photo Package

If you’re not at all interested in meeting characters during your cruise, the photo package may not seem worth it to you.

But let’s be real: Why sail Halloween on the High Seas if you’re not going to get pictures with characters in costumes you can’t see any other time??

While I took my own photos of all the classic characters in their Halloween costumes rather than wait in lines, just getting the DCL photographs of my family and me with the Sanderson Sisters was worth the price to me.

We also met all the princesses, superheroes, and Star Wars characters. Your photos are also taken at dinner every night, and there are lots of opportunities for non-character photos as well.

I ended up with almost 100 pictures on our account! So to me, the Photo Package is well worth the cost.

Make Halloween Magnets for Your Door

A lot of people decorate their stateroom doors with magnets on Disney cruises, and that hasn’t changed on the Wish.

I decided to make all of our magnets myself, and I made them all Halloween themed!

First I got some Craftopia adhesive magnet sheets and glossy photo paper to print my images on. I happen to be pretty hand with Photoshop, so I designed my own Nightmare Before Christmas -themed Mickey heads with one of our names in each of them.

And since Hocus Pocus 2 was coming out and the Sanderson sisters were new to the ship, I decided to make some magnets for that as well! I put “I smell CHILDREN on the Wish” on a cauldron and found silhouettes of the sisters’ hairstyles to cut out.

a stateroom door on the Disney Wish covered in Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus magnets

All I had to do was print the images on the photo paper and cut them with my Cricut Maker 3 , cut the same shapes out of the magnet sheets (also with the Cricut), then attach the images to the sticky sides of the magnets.

If that feels like a little too much DIY for you, there are also lots of Etsy shops that make custom cruise magnets! Best Custom Magnets is a great one.

Bring Halloween Costumes

No, dressing up is not required to enjoy the Halloween festivities happening on the Disney Wish.

But I promise you will have a lot more fun if you’re dressed up. The truth is, most people are – especially on a Disney cruise.

It can be as simple or as elaborate as you want!

The four of us dressed up as Encanto characters for our cruise using primarily Goodwill finds and a little sewing.

a family of four dressed as various Encanto characters for a Halloween on the High Seas cruise

My kids also dressed up as Belle, Elsa, and Spider-Man over the course of our Disney Wish cruise… but those didn’t have anything to do with it being Halloween, haha!

Halloween on the High Seas Costume Rules

All Halloween on the High Seas costumes must meet DCL’s guidelines for dressing up, or they may be confiscated (or you may be asked to leave an event).

The rules are very reasonable and straightforward.

  • Everything should be family-friendly. Don’t wear anything too gory or scary, anything with profanity, or any depictions of violence.
  • Don’t wear anything bulky. For example, don’t bring an inflatable dinosaur costume or anything that extends beyond the space your body would normally occupy.
  • Try not to be offensive. Use common sense here! Avoid blackface, dressing as Jesus Christ, or playing Hitler. Disney cruises are not the time to be provocative.
  • Don’t bring fake guns, knives, or other weapons. Doesn’t matter how “fake” it looks, they simply aren’t allowed. The ONLY exception to this rule is toy swords that are clearly toys, such as those made of foam or glow sticks.
  • Full-face masks must be carried around the ship. You can only put them on when taking pictures with characters (like my son did when he met Spider-Man).

Spider-Man kneeling to talk to a young boy dressed as Spider-man on the Disney Wish

  • Don’t pretend you’re part of the cast. You can’t pose for photos with other guests as if you work for DCL, nor can you sign any autographs.

Make Use of the DCL Navigator App

There has been some resistance amongst veteran cruisers to using their phones rather than paper navigators, and frankly, I can’t figure out why (other than stubbornness).

Having the full schedule in the palm of your hand via the DCL Navigator app is SUPER convenient.

You’ll be able to see if there are any last-minute changes to events, times, or locations. You can scroll through and “heart” the events you don’t want to miss to get a 15-minute heads-up before it starts.

And let’s be real: like it or not, most of us are carrying our phones 24/7 these days anyway.

Even if you’re not that kind of person, keeping it in your pocket to access the Navigators does not mean you have to use the phone for anything else during your cruise. (I didn’t!)

Just don’t buy the Wifi and there will be nothing to distract you from enjoying everything the ship has to offer!

Is Halloween on the High Seas worth it?

Would I do it all over again? Truthfully, I think I’d still book a Halloween cruise, just on a different ship, and for two reasons:

  • The Disney Wish didn’t offer some key elements I’d been hoping for (like Jack and Sally), and
  • A 3- or 4-night cruise is simply not enough time – and that’s all the Wish is offering right now.

But every cruiser’s wants and needs are different, so use this information to make the best choice for you and your family.

Hopefully, all of this information will help you decide whether or not to book a Disney Wish Halloween on the High Seas cruise!

Still on the fence? Take a tour inside the Disney Wish Star Wars bar (Hyperspace Lounge). It just might sway you!

Make sure you read my complete Disney Wish review for all the secrets about the new ship.

And speaking of special events, we scored seats at Olaf’s Royal Picnic . Find out if it’s really worth that crazy price tag!

Disney Wish Cruise Review (Our Experience with Halloween on the High Seas)

Home » Firefly Blog » Disney Wish Cruise Review (Our Experience with Halloween on the High Seas)

In this article, we provide a review of the Disney Wish. We’ll discuss our experience on the 5-day, 4-night Halloween on the High Seas Cruise. Our ports of call for this sailing include Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay.

Bon Voyage! I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to hear those words roll off my tongue again. If you’ve had the opportunity to cruise with Disney Cruise Line, I’m sure you understand.

There’s nothing like it. From the moment you step on board, life has changed, at least for the length of your sailing. You are no longer tied down to a job or at the beck and call of text messages and social media alerts.

Of course, you can always buy an internet package if you need to be alerted. But that kills the whole cruising vibe of being out of reach.

We recently cruised out of Cape Canaveral, Florida, on the new Disney Wish. Not only did we experience a Halloween on the High Seas sailing, but our sail date was on Halloween.

However, since our departure date was exceptionally busy, we waited until the following day to celebrate the holiday. No worries, once you’re out at sea, it becomes difficult to distinguish between the days.

As you may know, a cruise can be as busy as you want or relaxed. Our cruise was a bit of both.

Below, I’ll share our day-by-day itinerary. Of course, some of us went our separate ways here and there to do things we enjoyed.

But ultimately, we met up for dinner each evening. As always, there’s one exception. That exception was Kristen’s son, who spent most of the cruise living his best life at The Oceaneer’s Club.

Disney Wish Day One Itinerary (Arrival and Boarding the Ship)

How do you get to the ship? This is one of the most commonly asked questions first-time cruisers ask. Thankfully, Disney makes it easy.

When sailing out of Cape Canaveral, most will fly into Orlando’s airport (MCO) and take ground transportation to the cruise terminal. Disney provides transfers from the airport or various Walt Disney World Hotels for $78.00 per person roundtrip.

Other options include hiring a private car service, or shuttle service, using Uber or Lyft, renting a car, or driving your vehicle. As your travel agent, we can help you decide which option suits your needs.

Since I live in Orlando, I drove my car to the terminal. Disney makes it simple to park and board the shuttle.

When you first arrive, porters are waiting to collect your luggage. You can see in the picture below where guests pull up and unload under a covered area.

disney cruise halloween wish

If you elect to use a porter, you will need to tip them. From that point, you’ll move forward to park your car and go through security. You will see your luggage later in the day when it shows up in the hallway outside your room.

It costs us $90.00 to park in the parking deck for a five-day, four-night cruise.

A walkway on the third floor of the parking deck goes directly inside the cruise terminal. It took less than 15 minutes to get through both areas.

disney cruise halloween wish

After you get through customs, there’s a large room where guests wait until their boarding group is called. We got there reasonably early, and they had only started boarding. Overall, we waited approximately 30 minutes until our boarding group was called.

disney cruise halloween wish

Then you join a line to board the ship.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here we go!

disney cruise halloween wish

After boarding the ship, our priority was to complete the muster drill. A muster drill is a required safety exercise where you go to a designated location to check in with a crew member. We also had to sign in to the mobile app and certify that we had found our area.

Muster drills are mandatory and designed to help passengers locate the area where they are to go in the event of an emergency.

After completing our safety check, I noticed that Captain Minnie was greeting guests. So we stopped for a photo. Then we headed up deck 11 to have lunch at Marceline Market.

disney cruise halloween wish

Marceline Market is a buffet that’s open daily for breakfast and lunch. It’s located on the aft side of the ship.

To eat at Marceline Market, all you have to do is walk in, prepare a plate, select a drink, and then find a table. A server will stop by from time to time to collect any dishes you’ve finished.

disney cruise halloween wish

Regarding come-and-go dining options, you can also get lunch and dinner at the Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods. These quick services have walk-up windows located on deck 11 near the ship’s pools.

  • Mickey’s Barbecue
  • Donald’s Cantina
  • Daisy’s Pizzas
  • Goofy’s Grill
  • Minnie’s Ice Cream

After lunch, it was past 1:00 p.m., so we decided to see if our room was ready. Thankfully, our keys were in an envelope at the door to our room.

disney cruise halloween wish

Our Stateroom on the Disney Wish

Staterooms on the Wish are themed to various Disney animated films. For example, our room featured elements from  Cinderella .

Below we’ll preview our deluxe ocean-view stateroom with a verandah. This room sleeps up to three guests and has a partially obstructed view from the balcony.

disney cruise halloween wish

A throw with the Wish logo was at the end of the queen-size bed.

disney cruise halloween wish

A curtain hangs in the middle of the room to separate the sleeping areas.

disney cruise halloween wish

Below we have a couch that converts to a bed.

disney cruise halloween wish

Our cabin steward would come by each evening and turn down the bed while we were at dinner.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here is an alternate view of the room.

disney cruise halloween wish

The artwork over the bed was a nice touch.

disney cruise halloween wish

Ample storage space is available. Additionally, there’s a hairdryer tucked away in the vanity area.

disney cruise halloween wish

A mini-refrigerator is tucked inside one of the drawers.

disney cruise halloween wish

Most will appreciate the split bathroom layout. One door in the cabins leads to a single vanity and the tub with shower combination.

disney cruise halloween wish

Shampoo, conditioner, and soap are readily available.

disney cruise halloween wish

The other door in the cabin opens to the water closet, where you have a vanity and toilet. All deluxe staterooms will have a split bath. However, interior staterooms do not.

disney cruise halloween wish

We found plenty of storage space with two built-in closets for hanging items. A third closet partition offered shelving space, an in-room safe, and a shoe rack.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here is the view from inside our room.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here is our verandah with two chairs and a small table.

disney cruise halloween wish

Whoever sits toward the back side of the balcony will have a partially obstructed view. However, with so little time in the room, it was fine for us.

disney cruise halloween wish

When I finished taking room photos, it was getting close to 4:00 p.m. So we had to head back upstairs for the Disney Wish Sail Away Party.

There’s no better way to kick off your cruise than with a party. Yes, it is crowded. But Disney brings out all the characters for the party and sets the tone for the rest of the cruise.

If you want to secure a good spot, I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the party. Also, make sure to have plenty of sunscreen applied!

disney cruise halloween wish

(Night One) Dinner at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure

Disney’s Wish offers three main restaurants for dinner that are included with the cruise fare. You’ll dine at each of these restaurants during the rotational dining process.

If you’re on a four-night cruise, you’ll dine at one of the locations a second time throughout your sailing. Ideally, you would plan to dine at one of the signature dining locations on the evening you had a repeat location. However, both of the two fine dining restaurants require reservations and are out-of-pocket.

Dinner on our first night was at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. This experience includes a performance while you dine.

disney cruise halloween wish

Since we were a party of six, we were seated at a large table. You’ll receive a table assignment upon arrival and sit at the same table night each evening. Additionally, you’ll have the same wait staff each evening except for fine dining.

disney cruise halloween wish

During our meal, characters from Frozen appeared on stage in the middle of the room.

disney cruise halloween wish

Overall, Arendelle was a fun dining experience. Since we sat toward the back of the room, we didn’t have to be invested in the performance. But if we were closer, it would have had our full attention.

disney cruise halloween wish

Since most of the dining rooms were fairly dark, I didn’t get the best photos. So here are a few of the items we had at this meal.

First, this is Anna’s Koldtbord consisting of smoked salmon, smoked trout, salmon gravlax, shrimp, and a dill honey mustard. Unfortunately, this was a little fishier than most of us would have liked.

disney cruise halloween wish

Next the Troll Valley Baby Field Greens Salad contains brioche croutons, candied walnuts, and lingonberry dressing. It’s hard to go wrong with such a simple salad.

disney cruise halloween wish

From the kettle portion of the menu, we have carrot soup. It was fine.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here we have Elsa’s Royal Baked Scallops. Per the menu, this is a shrimp tarragon bisque with rainbow carrots, leeks, and a flaky pastry. This dish was well-received.

disney cruise halloween wish

As far as entrees go, there are a variety of options. However, I learned early on that often it’s better to consider the “lighter options” portion of the menu.

While a steak with a baked potato is not necessarily lighter, these menu items were more quality. One evening, I only ordered a baked potato. And if you see fit, you are welcome to do the same.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here is King Agnaar’s roasted pork tenderloin. This dish was much larger than it looked. Unfortunately, I didn’t try this dish, so I can’t comment on the taste.

disney cruise halloween wish

Lastly, we all tried the Troll’s Family Rock chocolate bar for dessert. It was another darling presentation.

disney cruise halloween wish

Disney Wish Itinerary Evening Entertainment (Night One)

After dinner, we headed to the Grand Hall to see the lighting of the pumpkin tree. This ceremony happens nightly at approximately 7:30 p.m. between dinner services. It is exclusive to the Halloween on the High Seas cruise.

disney cruise halloween wish

As you can see from the photo below, the area fills up. It gets crowded because many of us have just finished dinner while the rest are awaiting late dinner service. Those waiting for dinner have already been to the evening’s entertainment offering.

disney cruise halloween wish

After the tree-lighting ceremony, another special surprise was waiting behind the curtain.

disney cruise halloween wish

The Sanderson Sisters (Disney characters version) joined the stage with a song and dance number. As you can imagine, the crowd went wild.

disney cruise halloween wish

After the Sanderson Sisters exited, it was time for us to head to the Walt Disney Theatre for our evening entertainment.

One extra special entertainment offering is available each evening. This evening was Disney Seas the Adventure , a new musical spectacular that shares the story of friendship and inspires the audience to follow their dreams.

Unfortunately, Disney doesn’t allow photography or videos in these Broadway-style performances. But I can assure you that you will want to attend all three musicals offered during your sailing. They were all astounding.

disney cruise halloween wish

After such a busy day, we parted ways, and I returned to the room. A towel sea turtle was waiting. Each evening, the cabin steward will turn your throw (or towels) into a fantastic creation while you’re out.

disney cruise halloween wish

Disney Wish Day Two Itinerary (Day at Sea)

We were up and ready for breakfast reasonably early on day two, which is spent at sea. For breakfast, you have two choices.

First, there’s Marceline Market, where we had lunch the first day. Secondly, you can opt for a table service breakfast at 1923.

We decided to try a leisurely breakfast at 1923. There are two sides to the restaurant, Roy and Walt. For breakfast, it doesn’t matter so much which side you choose. But in the evening, you will be assigned to one side.

We were given a menu upon arrival and ordered several items. First, here is the fruit platter.

disney cruise halloween wish

Then we had a meat and cheese selection.

disney cruise halloween wish

I had oatmeal with turkey sausage.

disney cruise halloween wish

Unfortunately, the sausage was almost too tough to eat.

disney cruise halloween wish

Anna requested a custom plate, and our servers brought what she requested. Since these things are included in the cruise fare, no one cares what you order as long as it’s available.

disney cruise halloween wish

After breakfast, we went our separate ways. I stopped at the Wishing Star Cafe to order a coffee with Mickey Mouse. Fun fact, the design is made with carrot juice.

However, you’ll want to know this is an extra cost item. Coffee and other complimentary beverages are available all day at the Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods.

disney cruise halloween wish

Since we had a day at sea, I decided to hit the gym. Usually, I would enjoy walking on one of the upper levels first thing in the morning.

Unfortunately, the Wish doesn’t have a dedicated walking trail like most ships. You can walk around some of the lower levels. But the walk requires going up and down staircases on each side and cutting through the ship’s interior on one end.

disney cruise halloween wish

After a lap or two, I gave up and decided to hit the treadmill. Senses Fitness Center on the Disney Wish is impressive. The long layout of the space allows for a good amount of equipment and provides enough room for everyone to have their own space, even when it’s crowded.

disney cruise halloween wish

These photos were taken in the evening when the areas were more open. While we didn’t schedule any services at Senses during our cruise, we did tour the spa one evening.

disney cruise halloween wish

Senses is a tremendous spa with and indoor and outdoor area.

disney cruise halloween wish

They have an ice lounge.

disney cruise halloween wish

And there’s a Laconium.

disney cruise halloween wish

A Laconium is a dry sweating room where the temperature is more comfortable than a sauna.

disney cruise halloween wish

Overall, Senses Spa is a relaxing place worthy of a special appointment during your cruise.

disney cruise halloween wish

As for the rest of our day at sea, our group ended up at the pool. Disney movies are played all day long on the big screen. You can easily see the screen from most chairs on the main deck.

Additionally, we took a few minutes this afternoon to ride the AquaMouse, Disney’s first attraction at sea. The AquaMouse is a waterslide attraction that extends out over the ocean. It’s a must-do for guests at least once during the cruise!

(Night Two) Dinner at 1923 and The Little Mermaid

Our first day at sea passed ever so quickly. Before we knew it, it was time for dinner and entertainment. This evening Kristen and her family had dining reservations at Palo, which left Anna and me returning to 1923 for rotational dining.

Here are a few of the items we tried. First, we have the Hyperion Four-Cheese Tricolor Tortelloni.

disney cruise halloween wish

My appetizer was the Kingswell Duck Confit Pastilla.

disney cruise halloween wish

From the kettle, I tried the Pulled Guinea Hen Chowder. Unfortunately, this tasted like watered down corn.

disney cruise halloween wish

Anna ordered another appetizer, the Burrata Cheese with Prosciutto.

disney cruise halloween wish

And I tried the Fennel Bartlett Pear and Tatsoi Salad. This was a tasty salad.

disney cruise halloween wish

Anna ordered the Lobster Salad from The Lighter Side portion of the menu. It was a basic salad with a solid serving of lobster. I would order this again on a return cruise.

disney cruise halloween wish

We also ordered the 1923 Peppered Filet Mignon to share, which our server recommended.

disney cruise halloween wish

And I ordered the Tortiglioni Pasta, which sounded promising. But, unfortunately, this dish was bland, with hardly any flavor, except for the salty bites of pancetta.

disney cruise halloween wish

For dessert, I decided to play it safe with the Hollywood Hills Chocolate Fudge Sundae. While this dessert is as basic as it gets, it was the best thing I had all evening.

disney cruise halloween wish

Anna ordered the Atwater Fuji Apple Cheesecake, which she enjoyed.

disney cruise halloween wish

Our server also brought out the restaurant’s signature dessert, the Burbank Blueberry-Lemon Bavarian Cream. This was a beautiful presentation, but we found it fairly generic regarding taste.

disney cruise halloween wish

Also, this evening was Halloween, and our servers brought a fun chocolate spider to the table.

disney cruise halloween wish

While we had a large amount of food for two people, we didn’t eat that much. Most of our plates were sent back and hardly touched. So, unfortunately, 1923 was our least favorite dining experience on the cruise.

After dinner, we decided to get seats early for A Treasure Retold–Disney The Little Mermaid . On the previous evening, we saw the play from the balcony. So I wanted to sit as close to the front as possible for this play to compare.

We had the best time and it felt like we were part of the play. While all the shows we saw on the Wish are worthy of five stars, this was my favorite.

disney cruise halloween wish

After the play, we returned to our room and found a pumpkin, which was appropriate, considering it was Halloween! Also, I forgot to mention many of the guests were dressed in full costumes this evening.

disney cruise halloween wish

Disney Wish Day Three Itinerary (Nassau, Bahamas Port of Call)

When we woke up the following day, we were docked at Nassau. Anna had arranged for us to take a travel agent tour of Sandals Royal Bahamian. Kristen and her family planned to visit Atlantis, one of the recommended excursions listed in the Disney Cruise Line app.

disney cruise halloween wish

Anna and I were in the first group of guests off the ship. I took a photo of the sign below as we exited. It reminds you that all guests should be aboard the ship by 4:45 p.m. Also, you were required to have your Key to the World Card (room key), photo ID, and a form for minors where applicable.

disney cruise halloween wish

We were told to leave our passports locked in our room safe at this port of call.

After disembarking the ship, we took a bus to Sandals Royal Bahamian. Our bus driver let us out across the street from the entrance.

disney cruise halloween wish

While we were visiting for a tour, this resort sells day passes. So during our visit, we were treated to breakfast, lunch, cocktails, and free time at the beach and the pool.

disney cruise halloween wish

We had a wonderful day enjoying the resort.

disney cruise halloween wish

Nassau’s clear waters were stunning.

disney cruise halloween wish

After lunch, we toured several of the rooms and suites at the resort. As travel agents, we take advantage of as many tours as possible. These experiences help us pinpoint the perfect destinations to recommend to our clients.

After our tour, the front desk secured a driver to take us back to the cruise terminal. It was time to get ready for a special evening at Enchante, the Disney Cruise Line’s newest fine dining experience.

(Night Three) Dinner at Enchante and Pirate’s Night

Kristen had managed to finagle us a table for six at Enchante this evening. So we were all excited to dine here after our day in the Bahamas.

disney cruise halloween wish

We had a lovely evening with multiple courses, a cheese cart, and two desserts. Yes, two! Our dining experience lasted well over two hours.

Since this was such an elaborate meal, we have a separate article that details the experience.

Related: Enchante Review on the Disney Wish

disney cruise halloween wish

After dinner, there was the option to attend a Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, followed by fireworks at sea. While my theme song might go to the tune of “Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirate’s Life for Me,” this pirate was tuckered out for the evening.

So I elected to go to the room and watch Disney movies on television until the ocean rocked me to sleep. It didn’t take long.

To my surprise, a pirate was waiting. This is a pirate, right?

disney cruise halloween wish

Disney Wish Day Four Itinerary (Castaway Cay)

Castaway Cay was our best day. It was the most relaxing day and the perfect place to spend the entire last day of our cruise. These things do go by quickly, don’t they?

When I awoke this morning, our view was stunning. Before this trip, I had yet to visit the Bahamas. So while I’ve seen the clear waters of the Caribbean before, I couldn’t get over the clarity in the Bahamas.

disney cruise halloween wish

There’s no wonder why so many travelers visit this destination regularly.

disney cruise halloween wish

Since this was a leisurely day, I ended up at Marceline Market for breakfast. This time I dined outside with a view of Castaway Cay in the distance.

disney cruise halloween wish

After breakfast, I gathered my beach attire and tennis shoes and headed to the island. To my surprise, several characters were greeting guests.

disney cruise halloween wish

Pluto and Goofy were already having fun in the sun!

disney cruise halloween wish

It was also cool to see the Wish in the distance. When we were at Nassau, the Wish was surrounded by other ships.

disney cruise halloween wish

Castaway Cay has a tram that takes you to various points on the island. You’ll want to take it if you have small children or have a load to carry.

disney cruise halloween wish

There are several stops along the way. I walked to Pelican Point and boarded the tram to Serenity Bay. Anna had gotten there early and found us a seat.

disney cruise halloween wish

Serenity Bay, the adult-only beach, is about the farthest public destination on the island. Walking there from the ship would take about 30 minutes or so.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here is the view from my chair. We spent the morning at this beach and then had lunch at Castaway Air BBQ. They had hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, potato chips, various salads, fresh fruit, and other items you might find at a barbecue.

disney cruise halloween wish

After lunch, we spent a little more time at Serenity Bay.

disney cruise halloween wish

Then we decided to rent bicycles to explore the island.

disney cruise halloween wish

Bikes cost $13.00 per rental, and you’ll need your Key to the World card to rent one.

disney cruise halloween wish

We rode bikes down the old airstrip. Trams use part of the strip to transport guests across the island.

disney cruise halloween wish

Several bike paths are available. One way leads to a lookout tower.

disney cruise halloween wish

We parked our bikes and climbed the tower.

disney cruise halloween wish

It was shocking to see the Disney Wish look so tiny in the distance.

disney cruise halloween wish

I cannot say enough good things about Castaway Cay. I would have been happy to have two days here instead of one.

disney cruise halloween wish

We rode our bikes down a few more paths.

disney cruise halloween wish

We passed a few private cabanas. A cabana rental might be ideal if you’re looking for a bit of privacy and extra shade.

disney cruise halloween wish

Then we headed over to Pelican Point to see if we could find Kristen and her family.

disney cruise halloween wish

We met up with the rest of our group and spent the afternoon together.

disney cruise halloween wish

Anna was interested in doing the Castaway 5K, so she inquired about how it worked. She ended up getting us a medal for a photograph.

Since the 5K is informal, anyone can complete it when they want. But I recommend getting it out of the way first thing in the morning before the sun gets too high. A cast member will provide you with a medal when you finish.

disney cruise halloween wish

While we were at Pelican Point, a fish swam by several times. I took a photo to show the clarity of the water.

disney cruise halloween wish

Before we knew it, it was time to head back for our last evening aboard the ship.

disney cruise halloween wish

Some days you don’t want to end. This was one of them.

disney cruise halloween wish

We slowly made our way back to the Wish.

disney cruise halloween wish

A few people were still participating in add-on experiences.

disney cruise halloween wish

It was a lovely walk back to the ship.

disney cruise halloween wish

A sign overhead reads, “See Ya Later, Mon.”

disney cruise halloween wish

I also used this opportunity to get a close-up of Rapunzel, who resides at the ship’s stern.

disney cruise halloween wish

(Night Four) Dinner at Worlds of Marvel and Aladdin

After boarding the ship, it was time to get ready for dinner at Worlds of Marvel. This was our final restaurant rotation and the one place we’d yet to eat.

For reference, had we not went to Enchante the night before, we would have been at 1923 again.

disney cruise halloween wish

Worlds of Marvel is a large restaurant with screens near each table.

disney cruise halloween wish

Additionally, every table has a Quantum Core device that children (or adults) can interact with from time to time during dinner. Often, throughout the meal, lights in the restaurant dim.

Ant Man and The Wasp appear on screen during the meal explaining some of the secrets behind Pym particles. However, the meal gets disrupted and you’re left to help fight the bad guys.

Thankfully, it all works out in the end. Also, there’s special appearance by Ant Man and The Wasp. They walk through the restaurant thanking every one for their help.

disney cruise halloween wish

Since this was our last evening, we had one more Broadway-style show to attend after dinner. This evening’s entertainment was Aladdin, and it was spectacular.

After dinner, we visited a couple of lounges. Then, when we came back to the room, we were greeted by our last towel animal. It’s a puppy right?

disney cruise halloween wish

Before we wrap things up, I wanted to share a few other photos from our Halloween on the High Seas Cruise on the Disney Wish.

disney cruise halloween wish

The entire ship is gorgeous.

disney cruise halloween wish

Every where you look, there are special details.

disney cruise halloween wish

Cinderella’s glass slipper is on display in The Grand Hall.

disney cruise halloween wish

This is also where you’ll find her statue.

disney cruise halloween wish

This rose was on display at The Rose Lounge that sits between Enchante and Palo.

disney cruise halloween wish

Luna is one of the more casual theaters on the Disney Wish. One evening they had a silent disco party in this space.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here is the Bayou Lounge.

disney cruise halloween wish

And, of course, we couldn’t forget the Star Wars : Hyperspace Lounge.

disney cruise halloween wish

Lastly, Joyful Sweets is located on deck 11. All of the items here will cost extra.

disney cruise halloween wish

However, I think most will agree, it’s worth a visit at least once during your sailing.

disney cruise halloween wish

It all looked delicious.

disney cruise halloween wish

Here are a few more treats.

disney cruise halloween wish

All About Halloween On The High Seas – Disney Cruise Line

A Disney cruise is amazing any time of year, but especially during spooky season. In September and October, guests can set sail for Halloween at the High Seas, a special themed cruise featuring everything from Disney characters in costume and trick-or-treating to autumn-inspired arts & crafts and an adults-only party guest-starring the Disney Villains.

But what else does this frightfully fun cruise have in store, and is it worth it for your next family vacation? We booked a stateroom on the Disney Dream to find out. Put on your bewitching best and read on as we dig into all the treats a Disney Halloween cruise has to offer, as well as a few tricks to help you make the most of it.

Celebrating Halloween on the High Seas

So, which Disney cruise ship has Halloween on the High Seas? Where does a Halloween Disney cruise go? When do Disney Cruise Line Halloween festivities begin? Here are all the devilish details.

Disney Cruise Ships With Halloween on the High Seas

While we got into the spooky spirit on the Disney Dream, every Disney cruise ship takes part in Halloween on the High Seas, even the all-new Disney Wish. Each ship has its own scream-worthy setting especially for the season, including a unique Pumpkin Tree that serves as the centerpiece of the festivities.

Departure Ports & Destinations Visited on a Halloween on the High Seas Cruise

Think of Halloween on the High Seas more like a costume for your Disney cruise ship than a completely themed cruise. In other words, don’t expect a stop in Salem, Massachusetts, port adventures like ghost tours or a pop-up haunted house on Castaway Cay.

Rather, Disney Halloween cruises depart from several of the same ports as regular Disney Cruise Line sailings, including Port Canaveral and Miami in Florida, San Diego in California, and New York City. Halloween on the High Seas cruises also visit many of Disney Cruise Line’s most popular destinations, from fair-weathered voyages to Bermuda, the Bahamas, Mexico, and the Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean or through the Panama Canal to cold-weather cruises to Canada.

Cost of Halloween at the High Seas vs. a Typical Disney Cruise

You might be wondering if Halloween on the High Seas is more expensive than a typical Disney cruise. That depends on a few factors. While many themed Disney cruises can cost a little more than normal, factors like where you are sailing or which ship you are on can actually earn you a deal.

With sailings departing in September and October, many of Disney’s Halloween on the High Seas cruises go to the Caribbean, where spooky season sadly coincides with hurricane season, in search of warmer weather. Fortunately, as long as you can get past the overall uncertainty that comes with cruising during this occasionally treacherous time, you can sail away with quite a savings .

You may also notice that certain Disney cruise ships or ports are more in demand than others. As a result, Disney Cruise Line may drop the price for less popular departures, including Halloween on the High Seas sailings. So, you could save a buck or two if you are more flexible on the itinerary.

Halloween on the High Seas Sail Dates

Disney Cruise Line Halloween sailings start in mid-September and continue through the end of October, with the last cruises departing on October 31. Itineraries are offered from several different departure ports to a variety of popular destinations, from short 3-night jaunts to longer 5-night tours.

Why Do a Disney Cruise, Halloween Style

A Disney Halloween on the High Seas cruise is as jam-packed with fun as a trick-or-treat bag bursting with candy. Once onboard, you’ll find enough autumn-inspired activities and enchanting events to keep you up long into the night – both from the Halloween candy sugar rush you’re sure to get and the sheer number of things that is available to do.

Fang-tastic Halloween Decorations

One of the most charming parts about Halloween on the High Seas is the magical décor. From fiery garlands of autumn leaves to character-inspired pumpkins to adorable jack-o-lantern stickers on the ship’s massive portholes, each ship gets decked out with tons of boo-tiful touches that are sure to put you in the Halloween spirit.

The highlight of these All Hallows’ Eve decorations, however, is each ship’s signature Pumpkin Tree. Designed to have its own unique face, personality and even name (the one on the Disney Dream is named Grim, while those on the Fantasy, Wonder and Magic are respectively called Mucklebones, Bog and Reap), the Pumpkin Trees are said to keep the spirit of Halloween.

With the introduction of the Disney Wish, this quartet of terrifying trees also got a sister. Named Boo, this elegant Pumpkin Tree has willowy branches heavy with glittering jack-o-lanterns, lighter bark and a graceful face, and once grew the fated gourd that would carry Cinderella to the ball.

Tricks, Treats & Enchanted Entertainment

Halloween on the High Seas means all sorts of spirited special events, along with the many typical activities that are available on a regular Disney cruise. Cruising with Disney during spooky season can even mean double the fun, as many of these spine-tingling sailings also include the ever-popular Pirate Night in their itinerary.

When you aren’t showing off your trivia skills, sunbathing by the pool or channeling your inner swashbuckler, here are the many haunted happenings you can enjoy during Halloween on the High Seas with Disney.

Awakening the Pumpkin Tree

The Pumpkin Tree on each Disney cruise ship is so much more than just an elaborate centerpiece. It also serves as the opening act for the entire Halloween on the High Seas celebration. On the first night, you’ll be treated to storytime by the tree’s caretaker, who tells the tale of the Pumpkin Tree.

Then, it’s time to light the tree’s jack-o-lanterns, which continue to glow for the rest of the trip, making for a can’t-miss photo backdrop. This dazzling display sets the tone for the rest of the cruise’s Halloween festivities and shouldn’t be missed.

Mickey’s Mouse-querade

It wouldn’t be Halloween with Disney without a costume party. Mickey’s Mouse-querade is a spooktacular scare-a-bration starring much-loved Disney characters in full Halloween costumes. If you’d rather not do meet-and-greets, this can be a great way to see your favorite characters show off their frightful finest without spending a ton of time waiting around in line.

Equally as fun is seeing the many creative costumes donned by your fellow cruise guests. From jack-o-lantern t-shirts to clever DisneyBounding takes to extravagant group costumes, you’ll see it all. Make sure to wear your own costume and join the mouse-querade.

Halloween-Themed Disney Character Meet-and-Greets

Disney characters do meet-and-greets throughout your cruise and could even change outfits each time they appear. While it is possible to see your favorites in their bone-chilling best at other points during the cruise, the main time characters will wear their Halloween costumes is on the night of Mickey’s Mouse-querade.

For character chasers, these meet-and-greets are a must. Thankfully, with the exception of characters like Minnie, Daisy and Clarabelle as the Sanderson Sisters of Hocus Pocus fame and The Nightmare Before Christmas ’s Jack and Sally, to a slightly lesser extent, meet-and-greet lines typically aren’t that long. That said, for these more popular characters, you may want to jump in line early or risk missing out if the line gets cut.

Those dressing up like or who share a costume with a particular character definitely won’t want to give these meet-and-greets a miss. For our cruise, my sister, sister-in-law and I DisneyBounded as the Sanderson Sisters, so we made it a point to meet Minnie, Daisy and Clarabelle during their very first appearance. Without a doubt, the pantomimed conversations we had over our shared costumes were some of the most magical moments of our cruise.

Spookalicious Sweet Treats and Other Festive Eats

No Halloween is complete without some trick-or-treating, and the same goes for Disney’s Halloween on the High Seas. On the Disney Dream, crew members passed out generous handfuls of the good stuff along a makeshift trick-or-treat trail through Cabanas. And don’t worry about needing to pack your own bag to store your stash – trick-or-treat bags are left in your stateroom earlier that day.

But, those aren’t the only Halloween eats on offer during this cursed cruise. For dinner in the main dining rooms on the night of Mickey’s Mouse-querade, your table will even tuck into some Chocolate Spider Cake (don’t worry, it isn’t actually made of cocoa-y arachnids).

Your cruise ship’s culinary team also cooks up a buffet of bewitching bites all cruise long. Spine-chilling sweets like cookies, cupcakes, meringues and more (hello, pumpkin spice!) are on offer at the ship’s casual buffet restaurant, certain lounges and the onboard sweetshop. Just keep an eye out for the special Halloween signs.

Haunted Hands-On Activities

One of the best parts of Halloween is getting your hands dirty making jack-o-lanterns. In the spirit of this Halloween tradition, cruisers can also try their hand at a number of autumn-inspired activities.

From creepy cooking demonstrations to arts & crafts to terrifying trivia, there’s something spooky to do for everyone. Little cruisers can even enjoy extra-special Halloween arts and crafts activities especially for them, such as face painting and pumpkin carving.

Spine-tingling Ghost Stories and Movie Screenings

Does your family love a good ghost story? Or perhaps you can’t celebrate Halloween without watching the latest frightful flick? Well, you’re in luck.

Along with showings of favorite Disney Halloween movies on the Funnel Vision screen – Hocus Pocus 2 had just premiered during our cruise and played multiple times during our trip – guests can also enjoy Haunted Stories of the Sea, told beneath the stars by a mysterious sea captain, and The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream, an interactive movie singalong.

Exclusive Halloween on the High Seas Merchandise

Disney never misses out on a merchandising opportunity, Halloween on the High Seas included. In addition to regular Disney Cruise Line souvenirs, cruisers also have access to special Halloween-themed items created especially for the event, including apparel, pins, mugs and more.

As a result, scary swag can be quite the hot ticket, and it isn’t unheard of for things to sell out before the cruise is through. So, if you see something you like, buy it sooner rather than later or risk missing out.

Halloween Isn’t Just for Kids

Just like Disney Cruise Line isn’t only for families, you don’t need to be a kiddo to get into the spooky spirit during Halloween at the High Seas. On the night of Mickey’s Mouse-querade, the Disney Villains run amuck in the adults-only part of the ship during a ghoulishly grown-up Halloween party.

Sadly, don’t expect them to hang around too long. After all, they’ve got places to be and people to terrorize. Still, their steamy dance appearance is sure to cast a spell. With the villains out of the way, it’s time for a comical (and highly competitive) costume party followed by music and dancing.

On the Disney Dream, this was a silent dance party, which, if you’ve never experienced one before, is both weird and hilarious. Most people weren’t into it and, besides a few lurkers laughing at folks on the floor dancing like no one was watching, the place cleared out pretty quickly after the last award was announced. Still, the costume contest was a ton of fun.

Packing Tips & Experience Tricks for a Spook-tacular Disney Halloween Cruise

Hoping to make the most of your Halloween on the High Seas experience? These suggestions are sure to take your cruise from ordinary to hex-traordinary.

Don’t Forget Your Costume

Dressing up in costume is a Halloween tradition for a reason – it’s undeniably fun! While you don’t need to don anything too extravagant (even a Halloween t-shirt or creative DisneyBound will do), getting in costume will help put you in the appropriate spirit. If you’re anything like us, you’ll also love seeing everyone else on the cruise in their frightening finery.

Worried that you won’t have enough room in your suitcase for two costumes? Just double up and don your pirate attire twice – you’ll save space without having to skip out on the fun. Consider swapping out your swashbuckling accessories or trading with cabinmates to keep your costume feeling fresh. Just be sure that you follow the rules. Certain types of masks are prohibited, as are some prop weapons.

Give Your Door a Pixie-dusted Halloween Makeover

Expert Disney cruisers decorate their stateroom doors. Not only does this make it easier to pick your room out of the lineup of generic doors, but the extra pixie dust is sure to put a smile on your face each time you return “home.”

Stateroom doors are metal, so we recommend using magnets to create your décor. DIY your own or buy some premade off of Etsy – go for a Halloween theme or a general Disney design. If you forget to plan ahead, you might even be able to find some in one of the ship’s onboard gift shops.

Dress Up Your Stateroom with Spell-binding Décor

Don’t confine the Halloween vibes to your stateroom door. For the ultimate spine-chilling experience, consider decorating inside your room, too. If you don’t mind having to set it up, BYOD (bring your own decorations) and save some cash. Or, splurge and arrange to have Disney decorate your room for you. Sure, it’s expensive. But, the surprise of walking into your scream-worthy room for the very first time will be worth it.

Commemorate Your Disney Halloween Cruise with Plenty of Pictures

You’ll find no shortage of photo opportunities on a Disney cruise. And with everyone all dressed up for Halloween with nowhere to go except around the ship, it’s the perfect time to strike a pose.

Use the scream-worthy decorations as a festive photo backdrop, snap a pic alongside your favorite Disney characters in their Halloween best or take advantage of the ship’s dedicated photoshoot spots. Manned by professional photographers, these mini-photo studios boast bewitching backgrounds and monstrously fun Magic Shots for the cruise’s official Halloween party night.

Refer to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for Daily Halloween Happenings

There’s so much going on during your Halloween Disney cruise that it can be tricky to keep it all straight. To make things easy, take advantage of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Similar to My Disney Experience or the Disneyland app , the Navigator lists out the various activities that are available and lets you bookmark anything that sounds appealing. Then, simply wait for the reminder around 15 minutes before the event starts.

Well, that wraps up our guide to Halloween on the High Seas with Disney Cruise Line. Have you been on a Disney Halloween cruise? What is your favorite part of this spirited sailing? Let us know in the comments! Then, learn how to save on your next Disney cruise.

The centerpiece of every ship is a signature magical pumpkin tree.

You’ll find it in the center of the atrium lobby, and each tree has orange, white, and yellow spooky jack-o-lanterns and a life-like face carved into it.

The brand new ship, the Disney Wish will not only have the signature pumpkin but in the Cinderella Grand Hall (the atrium of the ship) , a brand new tree will be revealed. Featuring lighter bark, branches that twist and turn, and a smiling face carved into it.

The lore behind this tree is that one day, with the help of a wishing star it grew beautiful gourds.

The tree’s name is Boo, and one of Boo’s special pumpkins was used to grant the most magical wish of all when a certain princess named Cinderella needed a chariot to the ball, that special pumpkin was used the make her wish come true!

Trip Log Day 1: Disney Wish – 3-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise – Port Canaveral, Florida

Trip log, day one. Port Canaveral, Florida. 3-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida  Friday the 13th – October 13, 2023

Guests Onboard : 3:45 pm Personal Navigator – Day 1

Map Wish 3 Night Bahamian PCV NAS SEA

Our captain for this cruise is Andy McRonald. As for our onboard entertainment, Lesley Dallas is our Cruise Director. During this 3-night Bahamian cruise we will be visiting the ports of Nassau, Bahamas, and Castaway Cay.

Disney Wish Staterrom Map Day 1 Port Canaveral 20231013

Before heading to the port, we finished packing our carry-on bags. However, after a brief discussion, we chose to leave these two at home.

Cruise Packing

We set out on our drive to Port Canaveral earlier than normal to be in position to watch SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy launch for NASA’s Psyche Mission . We pulled off the road right before the Port Canaveral terminal exit to watch the launch. The real appeal of this launch was that both of the Falcon Heavy’s boosters landed back at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station resulting in two sonic booms!

Embarkation Day SpaceX Launch

Following the launch, we resumed our drive to the port, dropped off our luggage, parked and headed to the terminal.

Port Canaveral Arrival

Inside there terminal, there were large wall clings of the Disney Wish blueprints, which are featured on a number of merchandise items available at Mickey’s Mainsail onboard. It was just nice to see the graphics in a large format.

Port Canaveral Disney Wish Blueprint Terminal Wall Art

Isabelle had a DisneyBand+ which we pre-ordered for this cruise. At check-in, the Cast Member scanned her band to associate with her account for use onboard to open the stateroom door and make purchases. There was an update available for her band which only took a couple minutes to complete.

DisneyBand Update

Shortly after 11:30 AM, we boarded the Disney Wish which was decked out in seasonal decor for the Halloween on the High Seas voyages.

Disney Wish Grand Hall Wishing Wand

Our first order of business onboard was lunch up at Donald’s Cantina, part of Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods on deck 11.

Wish Donalds Cantina Menu

This has become my favorite spot for lunch onboard the Wish and it is primarily due to the sauce bar.

Disney Wish Donald's Cantina Lunch Burrito

Following lunch, we headed to our stateroom (which will be discussed in a future stateroom review complete with a room tour video). I’ll skip to important part, stateroom 11006 is amazing.

Disney Wish Stateroom 11006 View

For example, the view is incredible. The following video is a time lapse recording from the afternoon.

This cruise was our fourth DCL Blog Group Cruise and second on the Disney Wish. I couldn’t help it, a Halloween on the High Seas cruise departing on a Friday on the 13th day of October screamed for a cool logo – a nautical mashup of the original Friday the 13th movie poster and The Mighty Ducks.

DCL Blog Cruise IV Wish Announcement

We headed to The Bayou to hang out and distribute welcome gift bags and an updated schedule of events to the group. One of the gifts was a custom Tervis Tumbler.

DCL Blog Cruise Tervis

A small but, really cool seasonal enhancement was The Bayou’s iPad menu featuring different jack-o-lanterns for the various menu sections.

Disney Wish The Bayou IPad Halloween Menu

We still had some time before sailing away so we took a walk around the upper decks spotting a couple of the SpaceX support vessels off the port side. Across the port we could see one of the autonomous spaceport droneships, Just Read the Instructions , and Dragon capsule recovery vessel Shannon .

Port Canaveral SpaceX Barge

Over on the starboard side, we had a nice view of Disney’s home, Cruise Terminal 8 as well as Cruise Terminal 10.

Port Canaveral Dinsey Cruise Terminal 8

YEAH, time for the in-person muster drill……said no one ever….., but here were are standing on deck 5…..butt least we were in the shade.

One thing about the Wish Class design that becomes problematic, is the pinch point during peak passenger movement times due to the 2 sets of staircase/elevator lobbies compared to the 3 sets on the Dream Class. The reduction of the 1 route for passengers to move to the upper deck for the sail away party following the muster drill generates a horde of traffic akin to I-4 traffic here in Orlando.

Set Sail On A Wish Leslie Dallas Mickey Minnie Daisy

We made it, we finished our required safety drill, ascended the 7 decks, and now we can start our vacation with the Sail on a Wish deck party led by our Cruise Director Leslie Dallas.

After the sail away, we unpacked and headed out to dinner in Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure . This was my 4th cruise on the Disney Wish and to date, this was the best table we’ve been assigned. Previously we were in a corner, behind a support post and back by the windows. The window seats are a close second to sitting by the stage.

Disney Wish Arendelle Knight Isabelle

When life gives you a nice table assignment, prop up your iPhone on a water glass and hit record.

I did try Icelandic Cod which was a change from the original menu replacing the Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass . The cod itself was vanilla, but when combined with the pea puree was enjoyable. For dessert, I opted for the and the Kvafiordkake which I still cannot pronounce correctly.

Disney Wish Arendelle Dinner Icelandic Cod

During dinner, we took a family photo because we have the photo package option included at no charge now….let’s see how many pictures we can amass before the end of the cruise.

DCL Photos Arendelle Dinner

Exit Arendelle through the gift shop, but not tonight. The back door of Mickey’s Mainsail was not open to lure dinner guests into the Frozen merchandise area. Probably a good thing since the shop was already packed. There was a new-to-us Make-A-Wish spirit jersey in a purple with embedded glitter and a gold Disney Wish logo on the back. One of which found a new home and seemed to weather the washing machine without any issues or transferring of glitter to other clothing.

Wish Mickeys Mainsail Merchandise Make A Wish

I snapped the following pictures of a few items that caught my eye on this initial walkthrough. Luggage was lined up by the Arendelle doorway which could have also been a reason they were closed.

Wish Mickeys Mainsail Merchandise DCL Cookie Cutters

Down in Treasures Untold, Emily and Isabelle discovered more 25th Anniversary merchandise than the Disney Dream had all summer, or at least during our sailing to Greece which you can read about here .

Wish Treasures Untold Merchandise 25th Anniversary Collection

I walked right out of Mickey’s Mainsail and walked right into the beginning portion of the first Halloween events in the Grand Hall, the arrival of the Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters during the Who’s Behind the Curtain activity.

Disney Wish Halloween Sanderson Sisters

Directly following the Sanderson Sisters, guests seated in the Grand Hall were encouraged to turn around and face the Pumpkin Tree for the next Halloween show led by the wonderful Fairytale Players who shared the tale of ‘Boo’, the Disney Wish’s pumpkin tree.

The rest of the evening we spent with in the adult areas for trivia. First, we met up with the group for KnowsMore Presents Trivia: General Knowledge in Keg & Compass . The company and conversation made up for our less than stellar trivia score.

Wish Keg Compass Knows More Trivia General

On our way to the next trivia, I noted Luna Libations had a full selection of the Disney Halloween Popcorn buckets including Mickey dressed as a skeleton, Minnie in her Winifred Sanderson costume, Nightmare Before Christmas – Mayor of Halloween Town Car, and a poison apple mug.

Wish Luna LIbations Halloween Popcorn Buckets

Emily and Isabelle ran into a photographer in the Grand Hall to up our onboard photo collection.

DCL Photos Grand Hall

Our last get together event of the evening was another KnowsMore Presents Trivia event with 80s music trivia.

Wish Luna Knows More Trivia 80s Music

And that is a wrap for day 1. Tomorrow we are headed to Nassau.

Complete Trip Log Index

  • Day 1 – Port Canaveral, Florida
  • Day 2 – Nassau, Bahamas
  • Day 3 – Castaway Cay

Interesting in joining us on a future DCL Blog Group Cruise? We have two upcoming sailings. In 2024, we are sailing the Disney Wonder to Alaska , and in 2025 we will return to the Disney Magic for a magic sailing from Cay to Cay visiting both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.

An array of artwork by local Bahamian artists will be found throughout Disney Lookout Cay – even Mickey and Minnie Mouse will wear specially designed looks by an acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer !

We’re so excited for the destination to open in just a few weeks, we fashioned some wallpapers as we count down the days.

The lookout cay logo needs to be moved – it’s in a bad spot and the clock cannot be moved either. Whoever designed these do not have an iPad or iPhone. 🫠

I love these but my iPhone time widget is at the top and it blocks the cute Lookout Cay logo. The iPhone doesn’t allow me to move it. Maybe could we get some with the logo at the bottom?

These are so beautiful. I may not be going on a Disney cruise but I’m making these my wallpapers🌸
