IN COSTA BRAVA

The route between Tossa de Mar and Cala Giverola is home to no end of natural beauty including caves and coves as well as rock formations fringed by a variety of beautiful flowers and wildlife that characterise the Costa Brava. All this without forgetting about the ever-fascinating wonders that lie under the sea.

The Costa Brava is the Girona coast that begins in Blanes and ends at the border with France; It is more than 200 km long. It includes the coast of three regions: La Selva, Baix Empordà and Alt Empordà.

We wanted something different to do and my daughter had been attracted to the boats leaving the beach... We chose fondo cristal/subvision because it was one of the glass-bottomed boats rather than the fast cruises towards lloret... We were so pleased we did as the trip went out far enough that you felt as though youd left the coast but the caves were brilliant and did see some fish, unfortunately the exciting ones were on their own so didn't get to catch photos... Added bonus of the sandy beach before turning back (more comfortable than the stones of playa gran!)

A lovely way to spend an hour - on a small boat exploring all the caves along the attractive coastline and seeing the fish through the glass bottom boat. The length of the trip is perfect.

Went on the glass bottom boat and loved every minute of it. The tour was amazing visiting local caves and feeding the fish for us to watch. The beach at the other end was glorious and had a lovely bar to get drinks an food from Can highly recommend anyone to have a trip out

This was a very enjoyable boat trip - went into loads of caves and saw lots of fish & sealife which was very interesting. We fed the fish too! Trip was smooth, no issues and we got off at Giverola Resort where we spent a few hours sunbathing and having a delicious lunch. Boats run regularly so flexible to come back anytime. A must if you're in Tossa.

Points of interest

Costa Brava: One of the most beautiful regions of Spain, located in northeastern Catalonia. Bathed in the clean blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Costa Brava has a long history as the entry-point to the Iberian Peninsula from the sea.

Lloret de Mar: This has been the most touristic spot in Costa Brava since the 1920’s or maybe even earlier, when it became the town chosen by most Catalan families to spend their holidays. This colorful and dynamic place was named in a zarzuela, an opera called “Marina.” It appeared in the lyrics as “Costa la de Levante, Playas las de Lloret”, which later became the town’s motto.
