The Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach Returns to Miami Beach From April 3-6, 2024

The world’s premier show jumping series, Longines Global Champions Tour , is returning to the United States for its eighth year, bringing the Olympic-level equestrian sport to Miami Beach from Thursday, April 3rd through Saturday, April 6th.  Known as the world’s premier show jumping series, Longines Global Champions Tour is returning to the United States for its eighth year and bringing the Olympic-level equestrian sport to Miami Beach. 

Set on the sun-kissed shores of South Beach, Longines will boast four days of sun, sea and show jumping. Considered the F1 of show jumping, the luxurious event promises spectacular scenes as riders display their incredible athleticism next to the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. As the second of 15 competitions taking place across the globe, riders will compete to gain valuable points in the overall Championship season battle.

Tickets range from the GC Lounge to a VIP section. This year’s revamped GC Lounge includes covered, reserved tables for two to four people with premium ringside views, complimentary and unlimited wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. Guests can elevate their experience with an a la carte menu of fine foods, champagne and cocktails for purchase. One-day and four-day passes are available. 

For the ultimate seaside sophistication, the four-day VIP Pass features reserved tables for up to eight guests, a direct view of the competition arena, full catering buffet services (including fine wine and champagne), multilingual hostesses and an unparalleled lifestyle experience.

It’s back. And bigger and better than ever. The much anticipated Longines Global Champions Tour and  GCL  2022 calendar can be revealed today.

With equestrians worldwide anticipating a sensational new championship race that will reach its climax in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the Finals all eyes will be which equine stars will feature in the ultimate showdown at the GC Prague Playoffs from 17 – 20 November.

Jan Tops, President and Founder of Longines Global Champions Tour and  GCL  said: “We are delighted to announce our calendar for 2022 featuring some of the world’s greatest cities and iconic destinations. We are committed to growing our sport and to attracting new audiences to show jumping and this year we can’t wait to show everyone our new plans to keep LGCT &  GCL  growing at a rapid and exciting pace.”

The world’s greatest riders and horses will join the ultimate contest for individual and team glory as the countdown begins to the launch of the Longines Global Champions Tour and  GCL  2022 season with the spectacular curtain-raiser in Doha, Qatar, kicking off in under two weeks 3 – 5 March.

From the middle east, the Tour heads straight to the Americas followed by a fantastic five months across Europe touching down in dynamic capital cities and beautiful Riviera destinations before the grand finale in Riyadh.

All season riders will be battling to secure their golden ticket for a coveted spot in the ultimate individual showdown, the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs. And motivation will be high among team owners, managers and riders to deliver maximum performance to put them in a strong position for the high pressure knockout stages of the  GCL  Super Cup at the O2 Arena in Prague.

Due to ongoing pandemic conditions, Shanghai, China will not be included on the 2022 calendar. China will be restored to the calendar as soon as conditions allow.

The countdown is on to the 2023 Longines Global Champions Tour & GCL season as the full calendar is revealed today.

With an extraordinary 2022 season wrapping up with the Prague Playoffs just a few short weeks ago, all eyes now turn to the buzzing 16 event 2023 season. With a brand new destination added to the thrilling mix of returning fan favourites, the excitement for the new season builds as the world’s most dynamic show jumping series launches huge new projects and innovations to keep the sport pushing forward in all areas including a significant increase in prize money.

The 2023 season will see the individual LGCT series and the GCL team championship race span continents from the Middle East to The Americas, to Asia and into the heart of Europe, cementing the circuit’s powerful global footprint.

The opening leg in 2023 will take place in just over three months, from 2 – 4 March at the stunning AL SHAQAB in Qatar’s capital, Doha, where for the first time ever both GCL team rounds will be held on the same day. Stay tuned for the full reveal of the brand new LGCT & GCL weekend class format which is to be released soon.

The high-profile first event of the 2023 calendar, held at the world-class equestrian facility will ensure a dramatic kick-off to the new LGCT and GCL season. From the Middle East, the Tour heads straight to the Americas followed by a fantastic five months across Europe touching down in dynamic capital cities, beautiful Riviera destinations and Riesenbeck International will make an exciting debut on the tour before the grand finale in Riyadh.

Shanghai, China will not be part of the 2023 calendar but everyone is looking forward to its return to the series in 2024.

The race to the season championship will take horses, riders and spectators around the globe to 16 major cities and key locations. Riders will be battling to secure their golden ticket all season for a coveted spot in the ultimate individual showdown, the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs. And motivation will be high among team owners, managers and riders to deliver maximum performance to put them in a strong position for the high-pressure knockout stages of the GCL Super Cup at the O2 Arena in Prague for the final event of the calendar.

Millions of fans followed the LGCT and GCL season throughout 2022 as sporting excellence reached new levels, with the world’s best riders and horses guaranteed at every event. Fans watched live at the venues or on GCTV live streaming and TV, as well as following all the excitement on social media. The series will aim to expand its audience further during 2023 focusing on digital and broadcast coverage around the world.

This year marked an important milestone for Longines as it extended its long-term partnership with the Longines Global Champions Tour to 2027, underscoring the success of this collaboration and the growing popularity of the equestrian sport. As Title Partner and Official Timekeeper, Longines will once again have a strong presence throughout the 2023 season and they will present elegant timepieces to recognise the great performances of every Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix and Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix winner.

In the upcoming weeks, the new GCL team line-ups will be revealed for the 2023 GCL championship as fans across the world get ready for the start of another epic season. All the action, including the GCL R1 & R2 and the LGCT Grand Prix, will be streamed live on GCTV at every event.

ROME - The prestigious Roman leg of the Global Champions Arabians Tour has concluded, featuring the best purebred Arabians in the world in an event of unparalleled atmosphere, blending glamour, competition, and triumph. The event, held at the historic arena of the Circus Maximus, attracted the participation of royalty, institutions, celebrities, and Arabian horse enthusiasts from around the world. The event culminated in a spectacular closing ceremony and a wonderful show that mesmerized the audience with a magical performance, featuring over 100 dancers, horses, ancient chariots, and fireworks in a breathtaking symphony of emotions. The history of the Eternal City came to life before the spectators' eyes, recreating the epic atmosphere of 2000 years ago with an unforgettable performance that paid homage to the greatness of Rome, transporting the audience on an exciting journey through history.

An authentic parade of VIPs and influencers further enriched the prestigious stage of the Global Champions Arabians Tour, with many celebrities attending the shows throughout the event: among them Rajae Bezzaz from 'Striscia la Notizia,' international top model of Arab origin Ahlam El Brinis, and also showgirl Francesca Manzini, the world's most famous Italian étoile Eleonora Abbagnato, singer Giulia Luzi, actresses Violante Placido, Alessandra Mastronardi, Elisabetta Pellini, Francesca Inaudi, Barbara De Nuntis, former footballer Federico Balzaretti, Luciano Punzo, equestrian influencer Gaia Vincenzi, and famous influencers Martina Corradetti, Flavia Restivo, Julia Charlotte De Rossi, Sabrina Nasti, and Eleonora Filippi.

The atmosphere during the event was electrifying, with the audience enthusiastically following every turn of the show. Spectators enjoyed a series of exclusive experiences, including luxury dinners, VIP lounges, and exhibitions of works and products that highlighted the rich heritage of Arabian horses and Italian culture.

'The Rome leg of the Global Champions Arabians Tour has once again exceeded all expectations,' said Faleh Al-Nasr, Chairman of the Global Champions Arabians Tour. 'We are proud to bring together not only the best of Arabian horse talent but also a community of enthusiasts and distinguished guests who make this event truly special. The level of competition demonstrated here has been extraordinary.'

D Rowa, an elegant one-year-old bay filly bred by FA El Rasheem, won her first gold for the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, improving on the bronze she obtained in Muscat. Led by Paolo Capecci, she won her class with 92.43 points and received seven votes for gold, leading her to victory. Afreen Al Shaqab continued her unbeaten record in the Tour, winning gold in the Yearling Fillies Championship for Al Shaqab Stud with nine votes for gold. In the Junior Fillies Championship, D Najla of Dubai Stud won her third gold title of the 2024 tour, having previously won top honors in Valkenswaard and Abu Dhabi. This victory brings her to second place in the overall standings, surpassing her stablemate D Nafayes. For the Junior Colts, D Shakhar completed the trio of gold titles for Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, taking the pole position in Rome. This is the first gold title of the Tour for the two-year-old colt, after a series of silver and bronze titles in previous stages. The unstoppable AJ Kayya won her sixth consecutive gold title in the Senior Female Championship for Ajman Stud, maintaining an unbeaten record and a perfect score of 120 points, the maximum possible at this stage of the Tour. During the spectacular finale, Senior Stallion Champion E.S. Harir was crowned, marking his fifth gold title of the 2024 tour for owners Al Saqran Stud of Kuwait. This victory brings the 13-year-old E.S. Harir to 100 points, just 5 points behind the current leading male D Borkan, as the Tour approaches its final stage. After the sixth and penultimate stage of the tour, the top three positions for females, males, and handlers are as follows:
