How does the refund process work?

Because of the pandemic, the airline industry is facing a difficult situation with a large number of flight cancellations and pending payment refunds. If you wish to change or cancel your flight reservation, we will contact the airline on your behalf, although please keep in mind that airline rules vary from airline to airline and we cannot guarantee that the airline you are traveling with will be able to meet your request. Please know that we are doing our best to support you in this challenging situation. Read more about our fee for the manual handling here.  

We handle all refunds or change requests in the order we receive them and the expected handling time is longer than usual due to the pandemic and the increased volume. We are doing our very best to assist you as quickly as possible. 

How will you keep me informed about updates? 

You will receive an email when your change or refund has been processed and we ask you to wait for such further information via email before contacting us. Remember that you can check your refund status by logging in to "My Bookings", which you can access through the top right corner of our site, or by clicking here. Log in with Facebook or Google if you used your linked email account to make the booking, or enter your order number and the email you used when booking.

Information is clear. Reservation process is simple. Relation costt/quality seems good. Might be important to be fast during the process, as you may loose the fare that attracted you. I lost the 1st fare, and the second one was 6% higher.

Very good support

Very good support, both on phone and chat. I managed to type in my email address incorrectly and therefore did I not receive receipt or documents, but they resolved all this quickly.

Just fix the app folks

Just fix the app folks. Good Lord - you get a text saying details have changed for your flight. open app - sent to email verify. did verify - says unavailable and then loops back to email verification. Otherwise, Price, etc. was ok.

This week was just so good

This week was just so good! we were a little group of 9 and could really connect. the location was beautiful between the rice fields. I learned so much about yoga and the balinese culture. the food was delicious and let no wish open!

Company of scums and deceivers

Company of scums and deceivers, I booked with them flight with Pegasus, because of war I needed to cancel the flight, the flight company returned me part of the money and the other part still stuck with mytrip. They promise all the time they will refund, email, phones and online message never helped. Layers and cheaters, my advise to stay away.

SCAM SCAM SCAM

Scam scam scam! Don’t dare booking with this agency. Canceled/voided my daughter’s flight which cost us £1200 for a new ticket and won’t refund us of her ticket despite thousands of calls and messages! Gave us fake PNR’s that are non-existent and had the nerve to tell us that we won’t be getting any refund as the cancellation fee was more expensive than the ticket! We paid £900 for my daughter’s flight and Mytrip was the one that canceled/voided the ticket not us! Beware! I hope they get the Karma they deserve after putting me in so much stress! They shouldn’t be allowed to do business because God knows how many innocent people they’re still going to deceive!

Complete rip off

Complete rip off, avoid them by all means. I paid for a 20kg bag, nearly the same price as the ticket, the bag appears on their website but not on the airline website. Contacted Mytrip customer service on multiple occasions. They keep repeating the same void sentences that they are sorry and they will expedite matter to support team. I am 24 HR before my trip and they have done nothing and I have no bag despite paying that amount. Complete scam !

Scammers. A change to my flight which meant I would not be able to make my connecting flight. The airline/mytrip confirmed as this was not my fault I would receive a refund. Here I am a year later.. Still calling their phone lines bi-weekly and being promised the world. Their favourite one is "I'll get a manager to call you back within the next two hours" and shock horror you never get a call back. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!

Scam! Don't trust positive reviews from their staff probably

They ripped us off. Apparently never had a ticket. Went to the airport and showed them the confirmed itinerary sent from mytrip with flight info. The agent said there's no actual ticket and simply to call the agency to reissue the ticket. Simple enough right? Wrong! Called mytrip denying anything is wrong. Stating it's outside of their control as they're only the middle man travel agency. Then why did you sell the ticket to me??? Airport counter agent indicated they've seen such problem rising. Airport agent could help if we had purchased ticket directly with their airline, but because the ticket was owned by third party - mytrip- they could not touch it for legal reasons. Spent 4 hours on call with mytrip. They also refuse to escalate which is crazy. Ended up missing our flight and spending extra $2000 to get on a different flight. Scam!

I would add 0 if i could. No flight info was sent out and i was told i have to sort everything directly with flight companies. We were booked 2h self transfer from KL to Sydney and this was not simply possible. We arrived from Doha to KL ( terminal 1), traveled via bus to get our luggased and do immigration and received bags 1.2h later and then travelled to Terminal 2( 20 min). Fact is that we were late to check in to Airasia KL-Sydney flight while still waiting a bag in another terminal. They provided no help and kept me on the phone while passing me around 4 different people while saying the next person will help. Then dropped my phone call conveniently and never called back. No curtesy and willingness to see the situation we were in with 2 kids 2h and 4y. Repeated same thing and communication failed big time as there was huge lack of understanding which seemed to be language problem. I will be taking this scam as far as i can as we had to book new flights to get home. What a scam company they are

Satisfaction

Speed, reliability, only some payment cards do not receive the stated discount when paying.

Scammers. They always show the cheapest price and once you at the payment page provided all the card/paypal details and submitted for processing, then it says the price has increased. Its not once but keep happening all the time which clearly shows they first get your attention by giving the cheapest price. and once you put all yours efforts by provide all yours details and submit the payment button then they say the price has increased. Never again.

Costly Mistake

I've used them a few times but won't use them again. Book directly with the airline. They charge insanely inflated prices for things and most of the things are already already included with the airline. I was charged 110.00 pounds for a checked bag that the airline included 1 for each passenger themselves. Also, they charge for texts, calling them, baggage losses, and everything else. The airlines do all this for free. And God forbid that there's a problem with your checked bag or your ticket information, you will NOT reach them and be denied boarding your flight. My ticket information was off by ONE letter and was denied boarding. Had to purchase more tickets directly through the airline to get home. No Refund from My Trips!!!!!! These companies should be closed down and the executives should be in prison.

I hadn't heard of this site until earlier today. My mom sent me details of a flight and I quickly investigated the options. So. Many. Choices. Easy to navigate and the necessary information was prominently available.

“Avoid it. It's scam”

I have been waiting for a refund for 3 years. Customer service is unhelpful and seldom provide me with useful information. They can't say when the refund will be processed or even when a agent will contact me. 4 years on. Not only have they not paid yet. I can no longer contact them. So that's money I will never see again.

I wonder why these thugs are still in business

Absolute trash... rebooked tickets of cancelled flight on the summer. The tarif was lower that the original one, so to match The price paid we agreed on the phone to an upgrade, which allowed us to have a suitcase per person... nothing else. I paid a fee and this morning they called me to say it was a mistake, So no suitcase and refund possible. If i take a higher rate i had to pay extra but if lower they keep the money. Real thieves! Never again

Do not bother. They will not help you. They will keep tossing and taking you in circles. Each one comes with a different story.

Hopefully nothing wrong would happen if you don't miss your flight and make a check-in online, but beware of the company you buy in the future- the best is to do it over the airline website as a direct purchase. Cheers!

No, they are not. Hence, the awful reviews! The customer service is non-existant! If you email and have some urgent issues that need to be sorted, you will not get an immediate response. When they respond, they don't even check what you originally asked/requested them!

FOUNDER'S STORY

In 1982, Jim Peterson M.S., the founder of Trips Inc.™ was caring for Trent, a young man with cerebral palsy. Although there were “local” camps and destinations to visit, Jim quickly realized there was little opportunity for people with intellectual & developmental disabilities to experience the wide world of travel. This discovery altered the course of Jim’s life.

Originally from Maryland, he completed his undergraduate work at Georgetown University, and earned a Masters degree in Special Education at the University of Oregon. He later became the director of residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities in both Oregon and California.

Jim’s dream to create a business where ALL people have access to travel came true in 1991 when he started Trips Inc. Special Adventures®.

Jim won the prestigious Lisl Waechter award “in recognition of outstanding service and dedication to people with developmental disabilities in Lane County.” Jim has also been named the Direct Service Provider of the Year “for exemplary skills in working with people with developmental disabilities.”
