15 Best Things to Do in Las Vegas at Night

Home | Travel | North America | United States | Nevada | Vegas | 15 Best Things to Do in Las Vegas at Night

As you would expect, there are tons of  things to do in Las Vegas at night , so it can be hard to choose what to do, especially if you’re short on time. If you read my guide on  things to do in Las Vegas , you’ll see that there are several nighttime activities worth doing in Sin City. The nightlife here is so vibrant that I had to write an entire article on it!

Even if you aren’t big on the night scene, I can guarantee that you’ll find something cool to do in Vegas after dark. Of course, there are casinos and clubs, but there are also free activities and fun  Las Vegas night tours  that let you explore a unique side of the city.

In this guide, I’ll tell you the  best places to visit in Las Vegas at night , including some attractions you might not expect. There is a nighttime attraction in Las Vegas that’s waiting for you, so let’s get into it!

1. Take the famous Las Vegas open-top bus night tour

A  Las Vegas night tour  is the best way to get acquainted with the City of Lights, so I recommend this  three-hour open bus tour . You’ll have unlimited hop-on/hop-off privileges, so you can check out all the stops along the Strip and in downtown Vegas.

The bus’s open deck grants you better views, and a knowledgeable guide will tell you about the landmarks included in the tour. You also have the option to add on the 24-hour ticket, which makes it easier to explore the Strip at your own pace.

Open-top bus night tour, thing to do in Las Vegas at night

This is an especially  fun thing to do in Las Vegas at night  because you’ll pass by some of the top evening attractions like the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, the Bellagio Fountains, and the Mirage volcano. Plus, you’ll see iconic sights like Fremont Street, Vegas Vic, and Binion’s Gambling Hall.

The tour includes a guided walk through Fremont Street, which is another top thing to do in Las Vegas at night that I’ll mention later. If you don’t have much time in Vegas or you’re not sure where to go, this tour is a great option.

2. Bellagio Fountains, the best thing to do in Las Vegas at night

The  Bellagio Fountains  are a  must-see in Las Vegas at night  for all ages. This show is an impressive display of dancing water, colorful lights, and choreographed music that will amaze you no matter how many times you see it.

Bellagio Fountains show, family things to do in Las Vegas at night

2. Bellagio Fountains show, the best thing to do in Las Vegas at night

While there are other water shows on the Strip, the Bellagio Fountains are one of the most grandiose. It uses over 1,200 nozzles and jet sprayers to make the water twist, turn, and dance to the music, as high as 460 feet. The combination of graceful movements and whimsy has made it one of the top  night attractions in Las Vegas .

I should also mention that it’s a  free thing to do in Las Vegas at night , and you can catch the show every 15 minutes from 8 pm to midnight. Also, if you’re staying overnight, the Bellagio is one of the  best places to stay in Las Vegas , and you’re guaranteed to sleep in luxury here.

3. Mirage volcano, another spectacular place to visit in Las Vegas at night

The Mirage volcano  is another awesome light show and  something to do in Las Vegas at night with the family . It’s right at the main entrance to Las Vegas Boulevard, so you can’t miss it.

Watching the volcano show is one of the most popular  free things to do in Las Vegas , and it’s not hard to see why. The eruption includes elaborate explosions and fireballs that shoot up to 12 feet in the air. As you watch the show, you might feel the heat of the flames or smell the piña colada fragrance of the smoke effects.

Mirage volcano, best place to visit in Las Vegas at night

The set is comprised of two volcano systems and a lagoon with waterfalls, which creates a beautiful display in front of the Mirage resort . It’s accompanied by music from The Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart and well-known Indian musician Zakir Hussain. Over the years, the volcano has undergone renovations and expansions and continues to be one of the  best places to visit in Las Vegas at night .

The volcano erupts every day on the hour from 7 pm to 10 pm., so be sure to add it to your list of  nighttime things to do in Las Vegas !

4. Night flight helicopter tour in Las Vegas

A  helicopter ride over the Strip  is one of the best  Las Vegas night tours you can take. There are several Vegas helicopter tours to choose from, but I recommend this night flight  with a dinner option.

You’ll climb aboard an ECO-Star helicopter and soar above the Boulevard, getting the best views of Las Vegas . See the famous casinos and resorts, Fremont Street, the STRAT SkyPod, and more while listening to a live guided narration.

Night flight helicopter tour, night attraction in Las Vegas

This helicopter flight is also a nice  thing for couples to do in Las Vegas at night  because you can choose a dinner option to make it extra special. The meal includes over a dozen signature recipes by some of Vegas’ top chefs.

It’s only a 15-minute flight, but it’s an incredible  thing to do on the Las Vegas Strip at night , and something you can’t do anywhere else. The tour also includes pick-up from most Vegas hotels.

5. Party at a nightclub and enjoy the Vegas nightlife

Without a doubt,  enjoying the nightlife at a club  is one of the best  things to do in Las Vegas late at night . Sin City is known for its vast array of evening entertainment and party venues, so you’ll always have somewhere to go.

Some of the  best nightclubs in Vegas  include  Omnia  at Caesars Palace , which has an awesome outdoor terrace, and  Drai’s , a multi-level club with some of the best live music on the Strip.

Party at a nightclub, Vegas nightlife

There are a few other top  places to visit in Las Vegas at night , like  Hakkasan  at the MGM Grand , where you can dance to the beats of famous DJs like Calvin Harris and Steve Aoki. Finally,  The LIGHT Nightclub  at Mandalay Bay is an upscale party venue where you’ll feel like a VIP.

If you want to hit all the hotspots without waiting in line, this  VIP nightclub tour  is also a good option. Whichever club you go to, you’re sure to have an incredible time full of live music, flashing lights, and delicious cocktails. Even if the party scene isn’t your thing, it’s worth hitting one nightclub while you’re in Vegas!

6. See a concert or show, another must-do in Las Vegas at night

Seeing a concert or show  is one of the  best things to do in Las Vegas at night  with friends or a partner. As the entertainment capital of the world, you can find just about any kind of show in this city!

There are dozens of concerts and variety shows that you can see practically every day in Vegas, so be sure to check the schedule  here .

See a concert or show, things to do in Las Vegas at night

You may prefer to see a comedian or magic act, or maybe you have a specific musician or artist you’d like to see during your  night in Vegas . There are also variety shows, themed performances, dance groups, and burlesque shows. The City of Lights is also a popular spot for residency shows, and class acts like Elton John and Jennifer Lopez have had residencies here. Check our list of best shows in Las Vegas or the lasvegas.com  website to see who’s currently performing!

Among the many venues in the city, some of the  best places to visit in Las Vegas at night  are the Coliseum at Caesars Palace, the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the Brooklyn Bowl, the Smith Center for the Performing Arts, The Pearl, and The Axis.

7. Gamble at a casino, one of the top things to do in Las Vegas at night

Gambling at a casino  is another  must-do in Las Vegas at night , so you have to try it at least once.

The feeling of hitting the floor of one of the best casinos in Las Vegas and trying your luck at a slot machine or table is something many people come to Vegas to experience. The rush of excitement, the plinking sounds of the games, the enticing cocktails…it’s no wonder visiting a casino is one of the most popular late-night things to do in Las Vegas .

Gamble at a casino, best things to do in Las Vegas at night

Most casino hotels in Las Vegas have a nice mix of traditional games and modern video machines, so you can find what you like best. Try your hand at the penny slots or sports betting or join in on a table game. It’s a fun thing to do on the Las Vegas Strip at night , so put on your poker face and feel the excitement!

8. Ride the High Roller, one of the most popular night attractions in Las Vegas

For another  family thing to do in Las Vegas at night , take a ride on the  High Roller . As the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, it’s a can’t-miss attraction and one that’s even more spectacular at night.

The High Roller is 550 feet tall and 520 feet wide, making it the crown jewel of the LINQ Promenade. Each of the cabins is climate-controlled, and the 30-minute ride is quiet and smooth, so there is nothing to worry about.

High Roller, best place to visit in Las Vegas at night

Besides, you’ll probably be distracted by the incredible views of the Boulevard and the surrounding areas. This observation wheel provides a beautiful panorama during the day, but it’s stunning in the evening and the perfect way to see  Vegas at night .

As the sun sets, the 2,000 LEDs on the High Roller turn on, creating an awesome light display. It’s one of the most worthwhile attractions and very popular, so I suggest purchasing a skip-the-line  ticket . If you’re 21 or older, you can choose an open-bar cabin and enjoy a drink while you ride.

Afterward, spend some time exploring the rest of the LINQ Promenade. With its restaurants, bars, and activities, it’s another cool  place to visit in Las Vegas at night .

9. Fremont Street Experience, the best free thing to do in Las Vegas at night

Not only is the  Fremont Street Experience  an awesome attraction, but visiting this area is a  free thing to do in Las Vegas at night .

This downtown entertainment complex and mall offers a variety of activities and attractions for all ages. The Viva Vision light show is a  must-see in Las Vegas at night  and takes place at the huge barrel vault canopy. With over 12 million LEDs and an upgraded sound system, it’s the centerpiece of Fremont Street.

Fremont Street Experience, Las Vegas night attractions

There are other  fun things to do in Las Vegas at night  at this entertainment district. You can usually catch a free show at one of the three stages, and, if you’re brave enough, you can zoom down the SlotZilla zipline. Fly through the air from up to 114 feet high and get a one-of-a-kind view of the Strip.

If you want to learn more about the history of Fremont Street, I recommend this  walking tour that is also included at the Go Las Vegas all-inclusive pass (the best CityPass in Las Vegas ). Spend a couple of hours exploring the complex and other downtown landmarks while hearing how the area has transformed over the years.

10. Neon Museum, a must-see in Las Vegas at night

The  Neon Museum   is another cool  place to visit in Las Vegas at night , and a fun way to learn some Vegas history. For many, the best museums in Las Vegas.

The museum’s origins lie with the Young Electric Sign Company, which used to rent out advertisements and neon signs to local businesses. When a client was done with a sign, they’d return it to YESCO, and it would go into the warehouse.

Neon Museum, best place to visit in Las Vegas at night

Over the years, the warehouse became filled with all kinds of interesting signs, which led to the creation of the Neon Museum in 1996. Today, it has several impressive exhibits, including a ‘Neon Boneyard’ full of hundreds of old casino and hotel signs. Walking through the collection is a good  family thing to do in Las Vegas at night , as both kids and adults will find it interesting.

11. Eiffel Tower Experience, a romantic thing to do in Las Vegas at night

If you want to see the City of Lights transform into the City of Love, then head to the  Eiffel Tower Experience  at the Paris Hotel . It’s one of the most romantic  night attractions in Las Vegas  and something I mention in my guide on   things to do on the Las Vegas Strip .

This Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas is a half-scale replica of the real one in France. Even so, it’s 460 feet tall, so you’ll get sweeping views of the Strip and surrounding areas. There is a fine restaurant at the top and having a date here would be a great thing for couples to do in Las Vegas at night.

Eiffel Tower Experience, things to do in Las Vegas at night

Another thing that makes the Eiffel Tower Experience an amazing  place to visit in Las Vegas at night  is the free light show. It incorporates synchronized lighting and sound effects, and you can see it every 30 minutes.

While the light show is free, the viewing deck is a paid attraction, so get your ticket  here if you don’t get the Go Las Vegas All-Inclusive Pass.

12. Play a round at Topgolf, another fun thing to do in Las Vegas at night

Enjoying the games at  Topgolf  is one of the  best things to do at night in Las Vegas  if you’re visiting with a group. This entertainment club has tons of activities, and even if you’re not into golf, you’ll still have a great time.

Topgolf, things to do in Las Vegas at night

At Topgolf, you can practice your shot at the driving range or take lessons from the club’s PGA Teaching Pros. There is even a course simulator so you can play at locations like the Desert Pines Golf Club, Angel Park Golf Club, and Highland Falls Golf Club.

This spot is transformed into a party venue after dark, offering all kinds of  fun things to do in Las Vegas at night . Hang out in the arcade lounge or take a dip in one of the pools. Topgolf is at the MGM Grand Resort , so if you’re looking for a cool night attraction in Las Vegas , be sure to stop by!

13. See Lake of Dreams at The Wynn, one of the family things to do in Las Vegas at night

If you’re looking for free  things to do in Las Vegas at night , watch the  Lake of Dreams  at The Wynn. This light show is an ethereal multimedia performance featuring puppets, 5,500 LEDs, and advanced sound effects. The whimsical set was created by Hollywood designers, who crafted a gorgeous fantasy land spanning three acres.

Lake of Dreams at The Wynn, things to do in Las Vegas Strip at night

You can watch the show from one of the lounges at The Wynn or on the patio level while dining at one of the resort’s restaurants. It’s the perfect thing to do in Las Vegas for kids , and they’ll love the frog puppet that sings throughout the show.

You can see the Lake of Dreams every 30 minutes starting at dusk. Its playful vibe and 90-foot waterfall make The Wynn one of the  best places to visit in Las Vegas at night , especially with kids.

14. Dine at The STRAT SkyPod, one of the best things to do in Las Vegas at night

The STRAT Hotel   is one of the  best places to visit in Las Vegas at night , particularly its impressive  SkyPod . At 1,149 feet high, it’s the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and a famous Vegas Strip landmark.

Take an elevator ride to the observation decks on levels 108 and 109, where you’ll get incredible panoramic views of Sin City and the surrounding areas. If you’re into the  Vegas nightlife , visit the 107 SkyLounge for cocktails and late-night snacks, all with a spectacular view.

The STRAT SkyPod, night attractions in Las Vegas

If you’re visiting with your partner, consider having a date night 800 feet up at the Top of the World Restaurant, which has a 360° revolving dining room. Or tie the knot at the STRAT’s wedding chapel! Here is our article on the best restaurants in Las Vegas   for more ideas.

Atop the SkyPod, you can find thrill rides that will make any adrenaline junkie’s heart skip a beat. To give you an idea of these extreme attractions, one of them involves leaping from 829 feet up and falling through the air at 40 mph.

While the SkyPod is open throughout the day, I think it’s a good  night attraction in Las Vegas .

15. Have a drink at Harrah’s Carnaval Court, a must-do in Las Vegas at night

Finally,  Harrah’s Carnaval Court   is an open-air nightlife venue that perfectly matches Harrah’s Mardi Gras theme. As one of the top  places to visit in Las Vegas at night , Carnaval Court features live music and DJs, blackjack tables, and entertaining bartenders.

Harrah’s Carnaval Court, fun things to do in Las Vegas at night

Visiting this place is like attending a giant party in the center of the Strip. Try your hand at a table game or walk up to the bar and grab a drink. Carnaval Court is known for its flair bartenders, who will whip up your cocktail in style.

This venue is open day and night, and on weekends it stays open into the wee hours of the morning. It’s the perfect  late-night thing to do in Las Vegas  if you never want the party to end!

The Ultimate Guide to Night Bus Tours from Vegas

nite tours las vegas

  • By turntuptours , 9:14 am on August 27, 2024

The Las Vegas strip keeps on growing each year and this brings more activities to do and more to experience during each visit to the city. Sometimes, there are so many options when it comes to planning what to do on your Vegas trip that it can become a bit overwhelming. If you are trying to make the most out of your next trip to Vegas and want to make every moment count, then we have the perfect guide on how you should plan your nights.

Las Vegas Nightlife

The nightlife in Las Vegas is known worldwide for all it has to offer from the clubs, to the DJs, and also to the views of the strip. The most popular clubs in the world such as Tao, Omnia, Hakkasan, and many more are all located down one street. Some visitors try to visit all of the clubs in one trip but sometimes it is not planned correctly to experience all of this in a limited number of nights. However, all of the stops can be made in one trip if planned out correctly. A Las Vegas night tour that will take you to multiple clubs in one night is the best option to hit all of the clubs in a limited number of nights. Being able to club hop and end the night seeing the hottest DJs and artists, especially in Vegas, is an activity that you should not pass up.

Variety of Clubs

Las Vegas has many nightclubs to offer and there is somewhere to go every night of the week, even including Monday nights. There is no need to worry about missing out on the nightlife if you are visiting during the work week because there is always something going on. With many clubs to choose from, you should consider what kind of music you prefer to spend the night dancing to and also what artists or DJs are making club appearances.

If you prefer hip hop or R&B, the best nightclubs for those genres of music would be Drai’s, Drai’s After Hours, Jewel, and On the Record. If you prefer EDM, then the best clubs would be Omnia, Zouk, and Hakkasan.

It is also important to consider who you are interested in seeing perform as most of the nightclubs play all kinds of genres for example, most of the clubs that are likely to play EDM aren’t strictly sticking to playing that music . You can always check what artists and DJs are playing at the clubs while you are visiting Las Vegas as these clubs are known to book the best in the world.

Las Vegas Bus Tours

There are plenty of Vegas sightseeing bus tours but there are actually some that can take you to nightclubs throughout the strip. The Las Vegas strip is a beautiful sight to see at any time of the day but it definitely looks its best at night when all of the lights are shining bright. The strip is always lively but it comes even more to life during the night time. With our Las Vegas night tours, as we go from club to club you are able to catch a view of the city while on our party bus rental as it drives through Las Vegas Boulevard.

The party bus rental itself screams “Vegas” with the party lights on and poles on the bus to dance on while blasting the hits that will get you dancing while catching views of the strip. Who needs just a regular bus tour from Vegas when you can do it the best way with us? Make sure to snap pictures of all the sights and lights while we cruise down the strip.

What We Offer

Sightseeing and partying at the hottest clubs in the world is a must do activity and you should do it with us during your next Vegas trip. When you book a Las Vegas night tour with us, you are booking in for a fun night out down the strip. On our party bus tour , we take you to three of the hottest nightclubs the city has to offer with two party bus rides in between each venue where we also serve drinks while dancing our way to the next club. All of this will be served by your VIP party host who will also be guiding you to your next location throughout the night. Party bus rentals in Las Vegas can cost a bit just for the bus itself, but you can book in with us for only $99 per person and experience the nightlife, party bus experience, and get free drinks on the bus. If you end up loving our night bus tour so much, make sure to book a private party bus rental with us just for you and your group.

15 Absolute Must-Do's In Las Vegas For First Timers

T hinking about planning a trip to the glitzy world of Las Vegas for the first time? We’ve got the lowdown on all the things you gotta do for your first time in this massive and extravagant city.

I’ll be honest though, there are infinite amounts of things to do in Las Vegas. For example, after only about 20 trips to Las Vegas, I discovered super unique experiences like the Marriage Can Be Murder Dinner Show and the EscapeIT (IT-themed escape room) experience.

If there’s one thing Vegas knows how to do right, it’s entertainment.

The city is always popping up with new things to do, but our absolute must-dos in Las Vegas for first-timers are always consistent. These activities are going to properly introduce you to the grandness of Sin City.

1. Take a picture by the Welcome To Las Vegas sign

When you hit up Las Vegas for the first time, there’s one thing you absolutely can’t miss: snapping that Insta-worthy pic by the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.

You’ve seen it in movies, on TV, and probably all over your Instagram feed. This sign is the real deal! It’s like the Eiffel Tower of Vegas – you gotta have a pic to prove you’ve been there and done that.

The sign is Vegas in a nutshell – glitzy, glamorous, and oh-so-colorful. You can find it at the southern end of the Strip by the Pinball Hall of Fame .

Address: 5100 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89119

PRO TIP: For even more vintage Las Vegas signage, head to the Neon Museum and Boneyard , home to dozens of Old Vegas signs. It’s extra cool to see at night!

2. Take an open-top bus sightseeing night tour

If you’ve never been to Vegas before and want a lay of the land / an overview of the city before getting your Las Vegas Strip activities started, this is a great activity to do on your Day 1.

You’ll get to take in Las Vegas at its prettiest — when it’s illuminated and glittering at night — on an open-top double-decker bus tour . Along your 2-ish hour ride, you’ll get to see iconic landmarks of the Las Vegas Strip like the Bellagio Fountains, the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas, The Stratosphere, and the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.

You’ll get to learn stuff about the city too. The tour’s digital audio provides fascinating commentary, sharing the stories and hidden intrigue of the city’s history, architecture, and famous attractions. With this activity, you get one free welcome drink before you start your bus ride, too.

All-in-one Combo Tour: Las Vegas Sign + Neon Museum + Bus Tour

Neon Museum Evening Experience with Open-Top Bus Tour – See Vegas glittering in front of your eyes by night on an open-top double-decker bus with a roundtrip ride to the Neon Museum. Includes a 45-minute tour of the Neon Museum and a 15-minute photo stop at the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. Great for people who want to see more of Las Vegas off-Strip but don’t have a car.

3. See the Bellagio fountain show and garden

Bellagio’s famous water fountain show is a must for first-timers. This free water show features lights and music (genres include classical, opera, Broadway, and even pop songs) to give visitors a quintessentially Vegas experience.

The fountain show runs every half hour during the day and every 15 minutes in the evening. We recommend catching it in the evening for an extra-wow experience!

4. See the seasonal displays at Bellagio Conservatory & Gardens

From there, head into Bellagio to see the beautiful Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens , featuring larger-than-life floral displays that change seasonally.

Each season, the talented Horticulture and Engineering teams transform the 14,000-square-foot Botanical Gardens into a showcase of inspiring sights, sounds, scents, and colors!

Depending on when you go, you’ll be able to enjoy a different landscape featuring Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, along with a special display for Lunar New Year.

5. Drink a Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesdays are a must when it comes to having yourself a successful Las Vegas trip. These oversized frozen drinks are famous for their flamboyant size and crazy colors.

When the weather gets warm, you’re most definitely going to see Fat Tuesdays in everyone’s hands while walking down the Las Vegas Strip. It’s easy to see why — it’s the absolute best spot to grab yourself a cheap frozen drink right before taking a stroll on the Strip!

If you want to feel a bit more than tipsy, they offer you the option to add a shot(s) to your daiquiris for an extra dollar a shot. Cheap drunkenness, gotta love it!

Everyone’s drink of choice at Fat Tuesday differs depending on who you ask, but our group loves to order the Big Stick flavor off their secret menu , which tastes like a Big Stick ice pop but with alcohol!

You can find Fat Tuesdays in multiple hotels such as The Venetian, Casino Royale, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood, The LINQ, etc.

6. Eat at an extravagant buffet on the Strip

No first trip to Las Vegas is complete without at least ONE buffet on the Las Vegas Strip!

Treat yourself to a feast full of unlimited crab legs and bottomless mimosas at one of Vegas’s famous buffets like  Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace ,  The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas , or  Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan .

PRO TIP: You might get sticker shock looking at the price tag of these buffets, especially during lunch and dinner. For a cheaper buffet, opt for a breakfast meal. For an all-out splurge, choose a buffet that serves crab legs! It’s worth it if you love seafood.

Check out this guide to our favorite seafood buffets in Las Vegas.

7. Watch at least one show

Las Vegas has a world-class theater scene. From burlesque to magic, Cirque de Soleil to comedy, there is a show for every type of person and every sort of budget. And the best part is, there’s a show happening every single night in Vegas so there’s no excuse not to watch one!

A few shows that we think are perfect for first-timers include:

Awakening  – The Wynn’s brand-new spectacular production features fantastical creatures, dazzling visuals, a compelling narrative, and a touch of lighthearted comedy. This is my all-time favorite show in Las Vegas right now — I’d watch it over and over again if I could.

“O” at Bellagio : Another mesmerizing Cirque du Soleil show, “O” combines water, acrobatics, and theatrical performances to create a unique and romantic experience.

Any other Cirque du Soleil show – Cirque shows are all the rage here in Vegas. They’re great shows for first-timers in Vegas because they’re high-production, overly stimulating for all your senses, and will likely leave you wowed (and maybe even wanting to watch another one!).

8. Dine at your dream restaurant

If you didn’t already know, Vegas is a mecca for dining. You should try to experience one while you’re in town.

There are too many world-famous restaurants here to count! Many of these restaurants have grown insanely popular in their origin city and have expanded to Las Vegas.

To give you some examples, here are some world-famous restaurants that have opened a location in Vegas:

  • Peter Luger Steak House ( Caesars Palace Las Vegas ) – Original Location: New York City, USA
  • Joël Robuchon ( MGM Grand ) – Original Location: Paris, France
  • Nobu ( Nobu at Caesars Palace ) – Original Location: New York City, USA
  • Gordon Ramsay Steak ( Paris Las Vegas ) – Original Location: London, United Kingdom
  • Tim Ho Wan ( Palms ) – Original Location: Hong Kong
  • Beauty and Essex ( Cosmopolitan ) – Original Location: New York City, USA

If eating at a sit-down restaurant is on your itinerary, be sure to make reservations if they offer it!

9. Go to a dayclub (during pool party season)

If your idea of an awesome daytime activity includes lounging around the pools under the desert sun, dancing to live music played by top DJs, drinking summer cocktails, and gorging on delicious poolside chicken tenders, then you’ll probably want to plan to hit up a day club on your Vegas trip!

Pool party season at the day clubs runs from April to the end of October.  Encore Beach Club at  Encore Las Vegas , Daylight at  Mandalay Bay , TAO Beach Club at The Venetian , and WET Republic at  MGM Grand  are some of the most sought-after pool parties across the Strip.

So between all the venue options you can choose from, how do you pick which club to go to?  It all depends on what DJs and special performances you want to catch! We personally like using  this site  to check who’s playing at what club all across Las Vegas.

After you’ve found the perfect day club for your epic day, reach out to a promoter who works at the club of your choice to get on the guestlist (for free entry or discounted admission). They may even be able to hook you up with a specially-priced day club cabana / table at the nightclub for bottle service.

10. Go clubbing at least one night

Round out one (or all) of your nights with dancing and music at Las Vegas clubs like  XS at  Encore ,  Zouk at  Resorts World ,  OMNIA at  Caesars Palace , or  Marquee at  The Cosmopolitan .

Clubs in Vegas are not your average club featuring an unknown DJ mixing up beats. Clubs in Vegas are next level. Expect the world’s top DJs and musical artists to be playing/guest performing from 1:30 AM onward!

We’re talking Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Dillon Francis, Gryffin, Kendrick Lamar, Tyga, Lil Jon, French Montana, Rick Ross, Alesso, John Summit, and so many more.

If it’s 4 am and you find the clubs closing but you’re not yet ready to turn down, head to  Drai’s After Hours at  The Cromwell  for even more partying.

If clubbing is not your thing, there’s still a lot of nighttime fun to be had. You can just head to a bar or ultra lounge at any hotel on the Strip, or spend the night karaoke-ing at one of these karaoke spots in Las Vegas !

PRO TIP: Typically, you’ll find the celebrity DJs and guest features on weekends (from Thursday to Sunday). From Monday to Wednesday, clubs will usually have local DJs playing.

11. Take a ride on the High Roller

Make your first time in Vegas extra memorable by soaking in the sky-high views of the Las Vegas Strip with your friends. One of the best spots to get sky-high viewpoints of the Las Vegas Strip is on the High Roller.

The  High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ , one of the world’s tallest wheels, provides unforgettable 360-degree views of the city. For those of you who want to spice up your 30 minutes on the wheel, they offer an open bar package that allows you to enjoy unlimited drinks for the full 30-minute ride!

12. Be amazed by The Sphere show

If you’ve driven on the highways of Las Vegas (or have been on social media at all), chances are you’ve seen  The Sphere . Located by The Venetian, The Sphere has two main features — the outside and the inside.

The outside always has some cool projection going on, making it perfect for photos. The inside features an even cooler experience called The Sphere Experience. The Sphere Experience is a two-part multi-sensory experience lasting approximately two hours. In all honesty, it’s two hours of immersive amazement.

First, you’ll get to explore The Atrium. There’s a 360-degree avatar capture, a mesmerizing 50-foot holographic installation, and a few other cool tech features.

Then, brace yourself for an immersive cinematic experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen with Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Postcard from Earth.’ This specially commissioned film is a sci-fi portrait of our planet, leveraging Sphere’s cutting-edge technologies to transport you to new worlds without ever leaving your seat.

On a budget? Just skip going inside. The outside of The Sphere is cool enough to see!

13. Walk the Strip and explore all the themed hotels

With the rest of your time, take to the Las Vegas Strip on foot!

There are tons of cool hotels on the Strip to check out because many of them are way more than places to sleep… they’re full-on entertainment complexes. Here are a few we’d recommend to get you started:

The Venetian

Want to take a free trip to Venice without needing to spend a dime on plane tickets? Head straight for  The Venetian Resort .

Stroll through the Grand Canal Shoppes , where the cloud-painted ceiling creates the illusion of an open sky underneath the afternoon streets of Venice. You can marvel at the detailed architecture and enjoy the lively atmosphere of shoppers and alfresco diners as you window-shop at high-end boutiques and unique stores.

You can also watch gondolas floating by on the indoor canal or  take a ride for yourself . The serenading gondoliers will make you feel like you’re really in Italy — in a kitschy way, of course.

The Venetian Resort is also home to some really great experiences/shows such as The Sphere Experience , Shin Lim , and Atomic Saloon Show . Stay for a meal at one of the 40+ restaurants at the resort complex before catching your show!

New York-New York

How about a trip to NYC next? You can hit the bustling streets of the Big Apple by visiting  New York-New York .

The hotel’s replicas of the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge are perfect for some quick ‘sightseeing’, offering excellent photo opportunities and a taste of New York’s iconic architecture.

The two main draws of this hotel are the  Big Apple Coaster  and the  Big Apple Arcade , both of which are great for kids. And if you’ve never had a Nathan’s Famous hotdog , here is your chance!

Paris Las Vegas

Don’t let the global exploration stop there — you can head to Paris next.

Wander through the cobblestone streets of  Paris Las Vegas’   Le Boulevard District , where the colorful storefronts and café patios replicate the charming ambiance of the French capital.

Enjoy some French food at one of the hotel’s bistros, grab a crispy and flaky croissant at the Dominique Ansel Marché , and snap a few photos with the Eiffel Tower.

If you’re open to spending some money, you can even choose to go up to the  Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck . This half-scale replica offers great views of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Cosmopolitan

Head to The Cosmopolitan when you’re ready to fill your bellies up because this resort is a total eating + drinking hotspot.

Start by grabbing a NY-style slice of pizza at the not-so-hidden Secret Pizza , or indulge in the quirky and theatrical Superfrico . Don’t forget to check out Block 16 Urban Food Hall for an eclectic mix of quick bites from some of the top chefs in the country.

For an adventurous evening, explore the hotel’s many speakeasies like Ghost Donkey or The Barbershop , where craft cocktails and an intimate atmosphere await. There’s also the iconic Chandelier Bar that you can’t miss upon entering the hotel!

Caesars Palace

At Caesars Palace , start your visit by exploring the Forum Shops, an upscale shopping destination with high-end brands and a pretty spiral escalator.

For a quick and free show, stay for the Atlantis Show at the Forum Shops. Consistently named one of the top free attractions in Las Vegas, this animatronic attraction is an entertaining take on the legendary story of the fall of Atlantis.

With more than 400 moving parts in each statue that comes to life, The Atlantis Show plays Thursday – Monday on the hour, beginning at 12:00 pm through 8:00 pm.

Fun fact:  The costumes and props featured in the show were created by the same team who worked on  Thor  and  Pirates of the Caribbean , which is super neat. There are also fire effects, water effects, and a 20-foot winged dragon which is even cooler.

For an even better show, stay for Absinthe , Caesars Palace’s award-winning show that blends world-class acrobatics, circus-like vibes, adult comedy, raunchy jokes, and even a side of sexy!

14. Spend a lazy afternoon at the pool.

If you’re staying at a hotel, you’ve got super convenient access to a free daytime activity right at your feet.

But not all hotel swimming pools are created equally.

If you’re looking for an amazing pool complex where both adults and kids will have fun all day long, we’d recommend staying at  Mandalay Bay  or  MGM Grand . These two hotels have the craziest swimming pool complexes in Vegas.

Both have massive lazy rivers complete with waterfalls. Mandalay Bay even has a wave pool! We’ve stayed at both hotels and have had tons of fun at both (even as adults!). Just keep in mind they do get crazy busy with lots of kids running around on weekends.

For a calmer experience, choose a more adult-oriented hotel like The Cosmo , ARIA , Bellagio or Wynn .

15. If you have a car: See the Seven Magic Mountains

A quick 15-20 minute drive out of The Strip area will bring you to one of the coolest art installations in all of Nevada. Seven Magic Mountains is a public installation of seven towers made up of painted, stacked boulders that stand more than 30 feet high.

These colorful rock totems look so darn cool against the dusty barren desert landscape!

The art installation was created by internationally renowned Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone and commissioned by the Nevada Museum of Art. It was supposed to be taken down years ago, but some way somehow it’s still standing so go enjoy it for yourself while you can!

SNL’ s Devon Walker Is Bringing His Stand-Up to Las Vegas For New Kevin Hart Special

Devon Walker Stand-Up

Saturday Night Live star Devon Walker will appear in a new stand-up special being taped this Tuesday in Las Vegas.

The special is being produced by Kevin Hart through his entertainment company, Hartbeat. No word yet on where it will be distributed, but Hartbeat has a first look deal with Peacock, so it could end up on the NBC streamer alongside SNL .

Hart also has a streaming comedy channel of his own, The LOL Network , and a dedicated channel on SiriusXM, LOL Radio .

Walker, who joined Saturday Night Live in 2022 as a featured player, is no stranger to the stand-up stage. He first performed at an open mike in 2014 while earning his master’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In 2017, Comedy Central chose him for their Up Next showcase, and in 2019, he had his own special on Comedy Central Stand-Up Featuring .

The SNL star has been criss crossing the U.S. this summer, performing standup both solo and as part of the “Summer Jobs” tour , alongside fellow cast members James Austin Johnson and Andrew Dismukes.

Coincidentally, another SNL player will also be taping a show the same night as Walker, albeit 2500 miles away. As LateNighter reported last week, “Weekend Update” co-anchor Michael Che will be in New York City taping a test episode for a new late-night show titled Don’t Sleep with Michael Che .

Walker’s set tapes at the Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World Las Vegas this Tuesday, August 27 at 9PM. Free tickets are available online .
