Eagles 2022 Tour Extended, Includes Stop At Wells Fargo Center On March 28

Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill –have extended the “Hotel California” 2022 Tour with concerts being added in Cleveland, OH; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Detroit, MI; Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA

Columbus, OH; Buffalo, NY; Belmont Park, NY; Nashville, TN; Tulsa, OK; and Salt Lake City, UT. A full list of tour dates can be found below.

Each concert will feature ‘Hotel California,’ performed live in its entirety from start to finish, accompanied by an orchestra and choir.  After a short intermission the band will perform a set of their greatest hits. All shows will begin at 8 PM .

Tickets for the newly added dates for the tour, produced by Live Nation, go on sale Friday, January 14 th at 10 AM local time. A variety of presales are available starting Thursday, January 13 th at 10 AM local time. Check  Eagles.com   for complete tour and ticket information.

The Eagles kicked off the “Hotel California” concerts in 2019 in Las Vegas to rave reviews and critical acclaim. The biggest day on the NFL calendar for social media departments at the 32 teams isn’t a game, the draft or the start of free agency. It is schedule release day.

Much like coaches spend hours game planning, digital departments have spent months planning and shooting videos that will go live when the entire 2022 regular-season schedule is released Thursday night.

Most teams are sparing no expense to come up with unique ways to showcase their upcoming slate.

“Schedule release for us is kind of our Super Bowl in the digital sports club world,” said Derek Eagleton, the Dallas Cowboys’ vice president for media and programming.

The Cowboys had one of the league’s top videos last year with rapper Post Malone delivering the schedule as “The Postman” to Jerry Jones. It also included cameos from quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Getting the Grammy nominee to participate ended up being an easy task. Post’s father is Rich Post, the assistant director of food and beverage for the Cowboys.

The release videos can run the gamut on style. Some go the animation route, others have incorporated brainstorming sessions where they can highlight different ideas. The Kansas City Chiefs opted to have coach Andy Reid discuss looking forward to the challenge of each opponent while the Pittsburgh Steelers used Legos to build their schedule.

In the case of the Denver Broncos, they have been looking at ways to top last year. Their video of Peyton Manning as an intern won a Webby Award in the Sports Social Video category.

“It’s definitely a challenge to kind of come up with creative ideas year after year, especially after we had such a successful one last year,” said Caroline Deisley, the Broncos’ senior manager of social media strategy. “It’s almost stressful, because as we’re trying to come up with our own idea, you’re wondering what the other 31 teams are going to do and hope that your video tops that.

“Sometimes it’s a really high-budget, heavily produced video that looks really cool. Or it’s more kind of like what we did last year with Peyton where we spent $2.99 and filmed it in 30 minutes. It was just his comedic timing, and kind of I can’t believe you got Peyton Manning to do this, that led to the success there.”

Marc Ganis, the president of sports consulting firm Sportscorp Ltd., said the team productions evolved from them seeing the activity on social media once the schedules were released.

“It grew organically after teams saw how many retweets the schedule would get along with conversations about which games fans were planning on attending or other fan bases talking at each other once the dates were known,” he said. “Now it is one of the tentpole events on the NFL calendar and has been a way for the league to stay in the headlines in May after the draft.”

The Seattle Seahawks had one of the first viral schedule release videos in 2016 when they did " Making the Schedule. " The two-minute video showed ingredients being put together to bake cupcakes, followed by cupcakes showing each team.

The competition began to ramp up in 2019 when Atlanta released a “Game of Thrones”-themed video and Carolina did retro video games . Last year, Cleveland was the only team that didn’t do a short schedule release video. The Browns opted to do a half-hour special.

“We’ve known and seen how heavily invested clubs are in their content production. They have top equipment and top talent. They’re essentially full production houses,” said Gazelle Rezvan, an account manager for club relations. “It’s not just the best of the NFL, it’s amazing content.”

The videos also are a good way for teams to promote sponsors and ignite ticket sales. Most teams have opted to put single-game seats on sale as soon as the schedule has been released.

Laura Lefton, NFL VP of club business development, said ticket sales for the couple days following the schedule release were up 150% compared to 2019.

While most teams change ideas annually, the Los Angeles Chargers stick to a consistent theme each year — poking fun at their opponents’ fan bases. The 2019 schedule video featured stock footage and last year’s was edge rusher Joey Bosa leading a PowerPoint presentation that included subtle jabs at each city.

Most see it as good fun. However, the Cleveland Fox TV affiliate sent a care package after the PowerPoint slide went to the Cleveland “Mistake on the Lake” nickname and added there was nothing to do there.

Jason Lavine, Chargers vice president of content and production, said the irreverent brand of humor is one reason the organization won a Webby for one of the best social media accounts,

“Our voice is fun. This organization has embraced fun, and a part of having fun is not only being able to like making fun of yourself, but you got to have fun with others,” he said. “We’re never going after teams as much as we’re going after the fan bases and maybe the culture of the city.”

Like others around the league, Lavine is interested in seeing what other teams have up their sleeves this year as well as the reception the Chargers’ video will receive.

“I think anyone who works at a team would tell you it’s like I think we get a little bit snickered at because we are team media. There’s a simple sense of like, well, they’re lesser in some respects. But we firmly believe that we can compete and create at any level,” he said.

Eagles single-game tickets to go on sale at 10 a.m.

The Eagles will open training camp on July 26 when players report to the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia. The first practice will be the following day.

Single-game tickets for Eagles games will go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. and can purchased at ticketmaster.com.

There is a four-ticket limit per household. Tickets are available for the Eagles’ nine home regular-season games at Lincoln Financial Field, plus one preseason game.

The team also announced on Monday that it will hold one open training-camp practice at the Linc on Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. Those tickets, which are priced at $10, will also go on sale at 10 a.m. There will also be an option to purchase a $25 VIP ticket that will provide fans with a special on-field experience before the workout.

All proceeds from ticket sales for the open workout will benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation.

Seating will come on a first-come, first-served basis. Children under the age of 2 will get in free and there will be no limit on the number of tickets purchased. Parking will be free.

Eagles training camp details

The Eagles will open training camp on July 26 when players report to the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia. The first practice will be the following day. The full schedule will be announced at a later date. A small number of fans and corporate sponsors will be invited to the workouts.

The preseason opens on Aug. 12 when the Eagles host the New York Jets at 7:30 p.m.

The Eagles open the regular season on the road at the Detroit Lions on Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. They then open at home on Sept. 19 vs. the Vikings at 8:30 p.m.

Their remaining eight home games are as follows: Oct. 2 vs. the Jaguars at 1 p.m., Oct. 16 vs. the Cowboys at 8:20 p.m., Oct. 30 vs. the Steelers at 1 p.m., Nov. 14 vs. the Commanders at 8:15 p.m., Nov. 27 vs. the Packers at 8:20 p.m., Dec. 4 vs. the Titans at 1 p.m., Jan. 1 vs. the Saints at 1 p.m., and either Jan. 7 or 8 vs. the New York Giants at a time to be determined.

It sure is an exciting time to be a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Not only did they boost their weak front seven by signing pass-rusher Haason Reddick and linebacker Kyzir White in free agency, but they also finally found a No. 1 wide receiver who can help Jalen Hurts throughout the 2022 NFL schedule by trading for former Pro Bowler A.J. Brown on draft night.

Speaking of the 2022 NFL Draft , general manager Howie Roseman hit a home run by adding Georgia defenders Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean, as well as Nebraska center Cam Jurgens, who will serve as Jason Kelce’s eventual replacement in the middle of the offensive line.

Even with the widespread improvements across the roster, though, all eyes will be on Hurts as he enters his third season in midnight green. The 2022-23 season will serve as a tryout for Hurts as he hopes to establish his place as the Eagles’ franchise quarterback moving forward. The offensive line should still be dominant, the running game won’t skip a beat, and the weapons are now in place for Hurts to enjoy a breakout season in his second full year as the starter.

Philadelphia should be able to compete for the NFC East title with a much-improved roster and a young QB with playoff experience now under his belt. Championship expectations might be a tad lofty for the Eagles, but there’s no reason they shouldn’t make the postseason for the second straight year.

The Eagles Profile

The Eagles are a classic rock band who have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide while producing five #1 singles and six Grammy Awards. Eagles' 2022 schedule highlighted by Wentz's return among primetime games

The Eagles are ready for primetime again.

After they were scheduled to initially play just two primetime games last year in Nick Sirianni’s first season at the helm, the Eagles had a winning record, made the playoffs and then added more pieces this offseason. And in 2022, they are scheduled for five primetime games.

One of those will include the former franchise quarterback’s return to Philly.

The Washington Commanders and Carson Wentz will visit Lincoln Financial Field for a Monday Night Football game on Nov. 14 in Week 10. The Eagles have two games on Monday Night Football, two on Sunday night and one on Thursday night. Although their last scheduled primetime game is in Week 12. Four of their five primetime games are at home.

Since the year 2000, the Eagles have played the second-most primetime games in the NFL behind just the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s a look at the top five from 2000-21:

• The Eagles will kick off their season on the road in Detroit. That’s a very winnable game against a team that had a 3-13-1 record in 2021. Then the Eagles get an extra day to prepare for their Monday Night Football game against the Vikings in Week 2.

• Wentz won’t visit Philly until mid-November but the Eagles will visit him in Week 3 in Landover, Maryland.

• Speaking of reunions, Doug Pederson and the Jaguars will be at the Linc in Week 4. Expect a big ovation for the Super Bowl-winning head coach.

• A bit of an early bye week in Week 7, but if the Eagles can pull off a home win against the Cowboys going into that bye, the city will be riding high. In their first six games before the bye, the Eagles will face four straight teams that had losing records last year, the Cardinals without DeAndre Hopkins and then the returning division champions.

• After the Eagles face the Houston Texans on the road for a Thursday night game in Week 9, they’ll basically get a mini bye week, not playing until the following Monday. The problem is that this mini bye comes just a couple weeks after their actual bye week.

• The toughest part of their schedule comes in Weeks 11-13 when the Eagles face the Colts, Packers and Titans in succession. Those three teams had a combined 34-17 record last season.

• With Christmas falling on a Sunday in 2022, the Eagles will play in Dallas on Christmas Eve in a 4:25 p.m. kickoff. All of Philadelphia will be asking for the same thing for Christmas this year: To beat the Cowboys.

• The Eagles have three straight road games from Weeks 14-16 but then finish up their 2022 season with the Saints and Giants at home.

• According to strength of schedule from the 2021 season, the Eagles have the third-easiest schedule in 2022. Their opponents had a combined winning percentage of .464 last season. The Eagles also rank 24th in the NFL in travel miles in 2022.

A Philadelphia Eagles podcaster & Miss Delaware USA. They're a baby-faced power couple

You're forgiven if this baby-faced Bear power couple catches your eye.

Dalton Holland is the motor-mouthed founder and co-host of the Delaware-based "302 BIRDS: A Philadelphia Eagles Podcast," slowly becoming a fixture in the Philadelphia sports scene.

His girlfriend, Alysa Bainbridge, is the more restrained reigning Miss Delaware USA who also works as a traffic anchor for WPVI-TV's Action News.

Both look younger than their 25 years.

Holland, a Salesianum School graduate, sometimes looks like a teenager when he's interviewing a guest while wearing a one-size-too-big ballcap with a flattened brim with his slightly oversized glasses. When he's wearing his Salesianum lanyard or shirt, he's been mistakenly asked by strangers what year of high school he is in.

And Bainbridge's tiny frame is paired with a glowing, youthful face that makes her look younger, no matter what makeup she applies.

"When we don't get carded while buying a drink, I'm like, 'Are you sure? Is this a joke?'" Holland jokes. For her part, Bainbridge has come to terms with it: "I used to get really annoyed in my early 20s, but we're told we'll appreciate it as we get older."

The college sweethearts settled down in their first home over the past year, living on a quiet cul-de-sac where they live with their pit bull Roxy and two French bulldogs Penelope and Lola ― the same spot where Holland broadcasts the live podcast from his upstairs mancave, which glows in Eagles green lighting.

While the happy couple says they are on the road to eventually getting married as they juggle their growing public personas, their six years together have been marked by bonding over twin tragedies: Her 24-year-old brother died of a drug overdose and then his 67-year-old grandmother committed suicide a year later. Both suffered from mental health disorders.

Holland and Bainbridge were both still in their late teens when the back-to-back traumatic losses happened, finding themselves leaning on each other for support.

"We're still going through it to this day," Holland says. "So when you have a bad day and maybe hear a song on the radio that reminds you of them, it's nice to know someone is there who understands."

College sweethearts thanks to his persistence

It was at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia when their paths first crossed in 2017. Actually, it was first online when he found her in a university Facebook group. And then spotted her in person at orientation, meeting for the first time in person. "I sat next to her on the first day of class before some other douchebag did," he cracks.

She adds, "He was very persistent, but I had another boyfriend at the time."

It wasn't until 1½ years later when they would reunite ― this time both single ― and began dating in early 2019 after connecting over common loves like the Jersey Shore, Philadelphia sports and how they're both driven, goal-orientated people.

The pair dated throughout college and decided to move in with each other last year, buying a four-bedroom home off U.S. Route 40.

Now with twin careers, three dogs and the American dream fully loading, they look to their future and can almost hear wedding bells.

There's just one problem.

"I just need to be able to afford a ring," he says. "But if that girl would let me propose with a Ring Pop, it would be done by now."

Holland is a self-described tri-state mutt: he was born in Maryland and grew up in Southern New Jersey before his family moved to Elkton, where he drove 45 minutes each day for high school classes at Salesianum.

"My parents were like, 'You have a big mouth. You're from South Jersey. There's no way we're sending you to Rising Sun High School,'" he says.

Holland may be a sportscaster-in-the-making, but he didn't play any sports at Salesianum, although he did rise up the ranks from water boy to manager for the rugby team.

He was admittedly way more nerd than jock.

"I have a million-dollar smile. I need to protect it," jokes the 5-foot-7-inch, 115-pound Holland. "I wanted to keep my teeth so I just managed the rugby team."

Even so, he has since carved out a way to live and breathe sports with his podcast, which started in 2021 and is available in audio and video form with an array of co-hosts and both national and local sponsors ranging from TickPick, an online marketplace for events tickets, to Nick's Pizza in Prices Corner.

The TickPick sponsorship provides him with a dream scenario for an Eagles fan of any age: tickets to all Eagles home games, allowing him to tailgate and attend games he otherwise could not afford.

The road to Miss Delaware USA (and Action News)

For her part, Bainbridge grew up in Leesport, Pennsylvania, near Reading, daughter of a pageant queen who also ran pageants even before she was born.

"We were a pageant family," she says.

Even at a young age, she found herself drawn to the pageant world, suffering her first loss at the age of 5 when she came up short in Berks County's Little Miss Apple Dumpling pageant, but exacting her revenge when she came back to win the Junior Miss Apple Dumpling when she was a little older.

Over the years, she has racked up an impressive string of wins: Miss Philadelphia in 2019, Miss Berks County in 2020 and Miss Pennsylvania in 2022 before deciding on one final pageant when she won Miss Delaware USA earlier this year.

When he attends pageant events with her, his young looks are usually sure to cause some confusion.

"Sometimes you get looks from people and I'll joke that I'm her chauffeur," he says. "But being able to be with Miss Delaware USA helps with that ― there's a wow factor, I'm not going to lie."

In between her duties as Miss Delaware USA, Bainbridge freelances as an on-camera TV host, including her Friday afternoon gig on Action News. She majored in communications and has worked as a reporter for WRDE, NBC's Coast TV, which is based in Salisbury, Maryland with a news division based in Milton.

Tragedies strengthen bond and spur action

Bainbridge is also founder and president of Tyler's Triumph , a non-profit organization in her late brother's name that she launched in 2021 to help provide mental health and anti-stigma education. It has also been her platform in many of her pageant runs.

It was 2018 when Tyler died of an opioid overdose, just a year before Holland's grandmother Dolly took her own life.

At the time of Tyler's death, Bainbridge and Holland were not a couple, but he remembers where he was when he heard the news: in Spanish class. He immediately reached out with a comforting message.

"You never forget where you are when you hear something like that. It's terrible to go through something like that at any age, but that is young. I couldn't imagine what she was going through," he says. "It was tough to see someone go through something like that from a distance because you want to help them, but also respect their boundaries."

In the year after Tyler's death, Bainbridge split with her boyfriend and Holland also had broken up with a girlfriend he had. They then got together and that's when Holland's grandmother died. As he puts it, Bainbridge was his "rock," understanding the grief he was going through because she was still grappling with the same emotions over her brother.

"She had been through trauma before and was there to tell me you're not going to grieve overnight ― it takes time," he says.

It was very early in their partnership. And while such loss could easily unravel a relationship, it did the opposite for them. They grew closer in grief, especially because both lost loved ones who had suffered from mental health illnesses.

"We understood each other," she says. "We felt less alone."
