I can’t wait to explore the diverse culinary scene in Cabo San Lucas and discover new and exciting dishes. The food in this vibrant city is a culinary fusion of flavors, combining traditional Mexican cuisine with international influences. From local delicacies to international gourmet cuisine, Cabo San Lucas offers a wide range of options for every palate.

One of the highlights of my culinary adventure will be trying the authentic tacos at local taquerias. These taquerias offer unique and exotic taco fillings like Corazon de la vaca, cabeza surtida, and lengua. Mingling with the locals while enjoying these delicious tacos will truly be a memorable experience.

Another must-try dish is the authentic Baja fish tacos. The fish and shrimp in these tacos are lightly battered and served on warm soft shell corn tortillas. Customizing my tacos at the salsa bar with various sauces and condiments will add an extra layer of flavor to this delightful dish.

Additionally, I will not miss the opportunity to try the fresh fruit popsicles offered by another local institution. These popsicles come in various flavors and are a perfect treat on a hot day.

One unique dish that I am eager to try is the Elotes y Esquites Estilo Sinaloa. This dish consists of roasted corn kernels, crushed Doritos, a mayonnaise-like cream, cheese, and chili pepper. It is a unique version of corn that may not be familiar to everyone, but its popularity is evident from the queue of hungry customers. Served in a bag, this carb-filled snack is a perfect combination of flavors and textures.

In addition to exploring the local delicacies, I am also excited to learn some taco trivia along the way. Tacos have a rich history and cultural significance in Mexico. What Happens if I Cancel My Cruise? What to Know About the Process

Most people book a cruise and can’t wait to get on the ship. Unfortunately, sometimes life takes an unplanned turn and you have to cancel. Maybe it’s because you get sick, there’s a death in the family, a job loss, or any other number of reasons.

No matter the reason, having to cancel a cruise does occasionally come up, and the details of the process aren’t always so clear. It’s not as simple as just clicking a button to cancel and getting your money back. There are a number of hurdles and things to know about getting a refund when you decide not to sail.

To help make things clearer, we’ve covered a number of the most common questions you might have about canceling a cruise…

Am I Allowed to Cancel my Trip?

First and foremost, yes, you are allowed to cancel a cruise that you’ve booked . As well, you can cancel your trip for any reason that you want — even if you just simply decide you don’t want to take the cruise.

Just because you book the trip doesn’t mean you are obligated to actually sail. Of course, that doesn’t mean you are entitled to get all of your money back (more on this in a moment).

But if you thought that you could only cancel for certain reasons or that you weren’t able to cancel at all, that’s simply not the case.

How Do I Cancel a Cruise?

If you’re wanting to cancel your trip, you might find that it’s not as simple as you hoped. These days many of us are used to being able to cancel an order online with the click of the button. That’s usually not the case with cruising.

If you want to cancel, you aren’t likely to find a simple button in your online cruise account that lets you cancel. Even if there is one, it might be difficult to find.

Instead, the best way to cancel the trip is to give the cruise line a phone call . You can easily find the number to call on the cruise line website. Connect to a representative and then let them know that you’d like to cancel the trip. They will walk you through the process.

Is There a Penalty I Have to Pay?

If you cancel anywhere close to the cruise date, then you should expect that you will receive a penalty for the cancelation. However, this penalty isn’t in the form of another charge. Instead, it comes out of the deposit or cruise fare that you’ve paid. So you don’t have to shell out more money, you will just get back less than you paid.

These penalties will vary from cruise line to cruise line and even based on the length of the cruise. In general, the longer before your cruise you cancel, the smaller the penalty fee will be.

In many cases, cancellation penalties start between 90-120 days from the cruise date. Cancel before that and you’ll get back what you’ve paid, minus your initial deposit. The closer to the sailing date before canceling, the higher the penalty amount. Usually canceling anytime within 30 days of the cruise means a penalty of 100% of the cruise fare.

What If I Just Don’t Show Up For The Cruise?

Say instead of canceling your trip, you simply don’t show up on cruise day. That’s not the same as canceling. Cruise lines make it clear that if you don’t show at the port, that will lead to no refund.

As Norwegian Cruise Line says clearly on their website, “No refunds will be given on any cruise for no-shows.”

How Can I Cancel Without a Penalty?

Say your cruise is upcoming and something happens that forces you to cancel. Does that mean you will always see a penalty?

Typically the answer is that most cancellations will have some sort of penalty, even if you cancel well before the trip actually sails. This penalty can be minimal if done well in advance, when it’s normally just the deposit amount.

But what about canceling with absolutely no penalty? This is unlikely. In some cases you may be able to cancel and if you have travel insurance, that policy could cover a penalty. However, travel insurance usually only covers cancellations for specific reasons. If you do have “cancel for any reason coverage” then it offers more flexibility in what it pays.

Does Travel Insurance Cover Cancellation Penalties?

If you’re hit with a cancellation penalty, travel insurance may be a big help. You’ll definitely want to check with your policy, however.

Usually travel insurance covers losses only for specific named reasons . This includes things like sickness, death, loss of job, and other major reasons. If canceling for a reason outside the scope of what’s allowed by your policy, then don’t expect it to cover the penalty.

Some policies offer “cancel for any reason” coverage. As the name implies, with this sort of policy, you’re covered no matter why you decide to cancel. However, the trade-off is that it often covers only a certain percentage of your loss.

In the case of any travel insurance, you’ll want to carefully read your specific policy for coverage before you decide to cancel the trip.

What About Taxes & Fees I Paid for the Cruise? Are They Refunded?

When you pay for your cruise, not everything your paying is the cruise fare. For instance, you pay the cruise fare, but also taxes, fees, and often other extras. So if you pay $1,000 per person for a cruise, maybe $850 of it is actual cruise fare.

It’s important to know that if you cancel and a penalty is assessed, that it doesn’t apply to taxes and fees paid. These are refunded to you, no matter the penalty. So if you paid $1,000 in total but only $850 of that was actual cruise fare, the remaining $150 would be returned to you — even if you had a 100% fare penalty for canceling the trip.

What About Extras That I Bought or Prepaid Gratuities?

In addition to your cruise fare and taxes/fees, you might have spent other money on your trip. This can include things like pre-booked packages, such as drink packages, specialty restaurants, or wi-fi. It can also mean excursions or prepaid gratuities. In some cases, these items can add up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

The good news is in general prepaid items are refunded, just like port fees and taxes. So if you’ve prepaid gratuities, or bought the drink package, that money will normally be returned to you. If you’re worried about these extras, you can often go in and cancel them individually for a refund before and then later cancel the cruise.

As Princess says in their cancellation policy, “If you’ve pre-paid for shore excursions or onboard purchases, you will receive a full refund. The Princess Cruises refund policy states that you will also receive money back on taxes, fees, port expenses, transfers and surcharges.”

I booked a cruise with Viking and have to cancel due to health. I did buy insurance. Problem is my roommate still wants to go , but viking even though they have been paid in full, wants to charge her additional $5600 for the room even though it’s already been paid. I am not asking Viking for a refund am going through the insurance

Princess Cruises Issues New Cancellation Policy

Due to the worldwide outbreak of coronavirus / COVID-19, Princess cruise ships seem to be in the news almost every day. On Thursday night, Princess Cruises sent out an email to their travel partners to announce that the cruise line has temporarily revised their cancellation policy.

Princess Cruises Revised Final Payment Due Dates

The details for the new final payment requirements depend on the departure date. The cancellation policy listed below apply to both cruises and cruisetours around the world, for existing and even new bookings. If you have a cruise departure date from June 1, 2020 t0 June 30, 2020, your final payment due date has been extended. 

Princess Cruises determines that the date of departure is from the start date of your cruise or cruisetour, whichever is earlier. This excludes charter cruises.

If you’ve already booked your cruise and it’s scheduled to depart between March 9 and May31, you will receive the following Onboard Credits:

  • $100 USD / $150 AUD per stateroom for 3 and 4 day cruises
  • $150 USD / $225 AUD per stateroom for 5 day cruises
  • $200 USD / $300 AUD per stateroom for 6 day and longer cruises

Crown Princess Mediterranean itineraries are undergoing some changes. Princess will inform guests of a special offer sometime next week. 

Cancellation and final payment details

Princess Cruises cancellation policy states that Future Cruise Credits (FCC) are non-refundable and non-transferable. An FCC may be applied to new bookings or it can be applied to a Princess Cruise that you’ve already booked as long as it departs before December 31, 2021.

If you’ve already made final payment on an upcoming cruise and you decide to cancel, you actually have until 59 days before the cruise to cancel the booking without penalty.

Receiving your Future Cruise Credit

Princess Cruises will automatically apply the Future Cruise Credit to your Captain’s Circle account once the reservation is canceled. It isn’t instantaneous so the credits may take up to 10 business days before you see them on your account.

My best advice is for you (or your travel agent) to contact Princess and find out exactly what their cancellation policy is and how it will apply to your reservation. I’m not familiar with the details of your reservation and I don’t know what your cancellation fee might be at this date. I think it’s safe to say that none of the cruise lines know what the restrictions on board or ashore will be nor how they will implement any of the changes. It’s a huge mess at this point. If it were me, as much as I love Princess’ Hawai’i cruises (I was on Golden Princess), I wouldn’t risk it this year, even though the November rates are incredibly low. But that’s just my opinion. Thank you again for reading my article and sending your question. I’m sorry I can’t give you any specifics on cancellation fees for your cruise. A lot depends on if you booked under a promotion or other conditions. Happy sailing whenever you decide to go.

We scheduled a cruise on Princess for November 6to Hawaii. We have already paid it in full. How much is the cancellation fee>? Cruises may not start sailing until end of September but my 60 day notice has to be made by September 6. If they do sail I want to know what the restrictions will be and if all activities will be open on the cruise. If there are alot of restrictions there is not much reason to go on the cruise. With the way things are going I do not have much hope.

Under normal circumstances, it can take a day or two or if it misses your credit card cycle, it could take until the next statement to appear. I hope this is helpful. Hi Karen, Thank you for taking the time to write. Yes, cancel for any reason (CFAR) insurance can be purchased from independent travel insurance companies. However, I have read that it is possible that the very fine print in the policy, despite the consumer purchasing the CFAR add-on, are denying coverage if the claim is the result of a global pandemic. I have always recommended adding CFAR (it has to be added within two or three weeks depending on the company) but it’s important to read the fine print before purchase.

Princess Cruises Changing 100% Cancellation Fee Policy Next Month

Princess Cruises will change their 100% Cancellation Fee policy in early March for new bookings with the cruise line.

Starting with all new Princess Cruises bookings on or after March 4, 2024, the cruise line is changing their 100% Cancelation Fee to 30 days prior to the cruise. This is a change from 14 days before the cruise. All current bookings will follow the outgoing policy.

Princess Cruises will have two different cancellation policies that depend on the length of the voyage.  The first one will be for cruises one to 24 days in length and the second for cruises 25 days and longer.

Princess Cruises’ new cancellation policy for cruises 1-24 days:

  • 90 days or more: No cancellation fee
  • 75-89 days before the cruise: 25%
  • 61-74 days before the cruise: 50%
  • 31-60 days before the cruise: 75%
  • Within 30 days of the cruise: 100%

Princess Cruises’ new cancellation policy for cruises 25 days and longer:

  • 120 days or more: No cancellation fee
  • 113-119 days before the cruise: Deposit or 30% of a world cruise fare
  • 61-112 days before the cruise: 50%
  • Within 60 days of the cruise: 100%

In addition, cruises on a Princess cruise ship that are five days or less will now have a final payment date of 90 days before the cruise. This is up from 75 days.

Expecting a refund for a canceled cruise? Here's how long it could take

Cruise lines have canceled thousands of departures in recent weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak, and they're in the midst of processing full or partial refunds for several million customers.

Cruise giant Carnival alone says it has been working on getting money back to more than 1 million people.

That's an unprecedented number of refunds for the industry to process in a short period, and it isn't always going smoothly. Here at TPG, we've been getting a steady stream of emails from readers about issues surrounding cruise refunds and the "future cruise credits" lines are offering as an alternative.

Some readers are unsure about how the refund process works, and others are describing a lack of communication about refunds from their lines or the travel agencies that sold them their cruise. But, for the most part, the big question they have is simple: When is my refund coming?

The quick answer to the latter question: It depends on the cruise line .

You could wait up to 90 days

Some big cruise operators are processing refunds in just a few weeks. Others are taking up to three months to get money back to customers.

At cruise giant Royal Caribbean and sister line Celebrity Cruises, for instance, the staff that handles refund requests is trying to get them processed in 30 business days (which works out to about 45 days).

At a number of smaller lines such as Crystal Cruises, Silversea and Oceania Cruises, refunds are taking up to 90 days to process. Norwegian Cruise Line says refunds are being processed 90 days after a request is made.

"We are working hard to help our guests," Jonathon Fishman, a spokesperson for the parent company of Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, told TPG. "It takes 30 business days from the cancellation date. It may take a couple of days for the cancellation to take effect."

Spokespeople for a number of cruise lines contacted by TPG said they were trying to process refunds as fast as they could. But they're struggling under a deluge of requests. They're also hampered by stay-at-home orders that have refund processors trying to handle their work from home offices instead of company sites.

Some lines also have laid off a large number of employees in recent weeks or have employees working on reduced hours. Carnival, Princess Cruises and Holland America in recent days have laid off or furloughed nearly 50% of their U.S.-based staff -- several thousand people in all.

At Miami-based Crystal, all employees -- not just refund processors -- have been working at home for weeks due to stay-at-home orders, spokesperson Susan Robison told TPG. They're also dealing with an extraordinary volume of refund requests due to simultaneous cancellations of sailings on all ocean, river and yacht vessels around the world into June.

"It is our intent to issue applicable refunds as quickly as possible," Robison said. "I can tell you that many of our guests are seeing refunds issued faster than our original estimate of up to 90 days."

Individual policies aren't always clear

Some cruise lines are posting the number of days it will take to receive a refund on their websites. Others only will tell you if you ask. But that's if you can get through to them. Many cruise lines report unprecedented call volume and have been asking customers for patience as they work through requests.

TPG contacted major cruise lines catering to North Americans about the topic and was given a wide range of estimates as to how long refunds would take. Most fell into one of four estimated timelines: 30, 45, 60 or 90 days.

A handful of lines did not respond to TPG's request for information.

Carnival, which accounts for nearly 20% of all cruises taken worldwide, only would say it is "committed to issuing refunds as soon as possible."

Carnival has canceled nearly all its cruises through September , with the exception of August sailings on eight of the line's 27 ships that remain on the schedule for now.

The situation "dwarfs any disruption we've experienced in even the worst hurricane season," Carnival said in a statement. "We can confirm that refunds are being issued to those guests that requested one."

Refunds even for people taking credits

Most cruise lines have offered customers on canceled sailings a full cash refund.

As an alternative, cruise lines will give customers on canceled cruises a future cruise credit for the amount they paid, often with a "bonus credit" added to make the credit more enticing .

Cruise lines want you to take the credit. With revenues plummeting , they're eager to preserve as much cash as they can on their balance sheets.

Still, whether you ask for the refund or take the credit, you'll likely be getting at least some money back from your line as a cash payment. Even for those taking the credit, many lines are refunding taxes, fees, port charges and other prepaid items in cash.

Carnival, for instance, has been sending cash refunds for all taxes, fees and port expenses that customers paid for cruises, even when the customer chooses the credit option. The result is that every one of the more than 1 million Carnival customers who had a cruise canceled are receiving some sort of refund that needs to be processed.

It's a task so daunting, Carnival has pulled in management to help.

"Our customer service team has been approved for overtime, and we have trained other management employees to help as well," the line said in its statement to TPG.

Frustration from some cruisers

The good news for those who are worried about their refunds is that refunds are happening. TPG has heard from readers on a number of canceled sailings who already have received their money back.

Still, TPG also has heard from readers who report trouble getting a confirmation that their request for a refund has been registered or is coming. Often, these complaints come from readers who booked through discount online travel agencies.

TPG also has heard from readers who booked with cruise companies that are not offering refunds for canceled trips. A handful of small companies that mostly operate river cruises, including Grand Circle Cruise Line and Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, only will give passengers on canceled sailings a voucher for a future cruise -- at least initially. Scenic says passengers can get a refund, but only after the voucher expires in 2023.

In at least one case, a cruise-selling company initially offered customers on a canceled cruise a refund and then didn't follow through on the offer.

TPG reader Kim Johnson, 64, of Tucson, Arizona, said Grand Circle initially offered her and a group of her friends a refund for a canceled Holland and Belgium river cruise. But two weeks later, Grand Circle pulled back the offer, she said.

"Grand Circle emailed us saying that we had been rebooked on the same cruise next year, with no mention of the refund," Johnson told TPG. "We had a new reservation number and were supposed to go online to accept the terms and conditions."

Johnson said calls to the company "resulted in us being told that refunds were no longer an option." Johnson said her group doesn't want to switch their cruise to next year. They just want their money back.

Johnson was one of several members of her group who reached out to TPG and provided documentation of the initial offer of a refund from Grand Circle.

Asked about the group's complaint, a spokesperson for Grand Circle did not address the issue of the withdrawn offer of a refund but said the company was "committed to delivering the excellent travel experiences for which [they have] become known" over six decades in business.

"As soon as it is safe to do so, we will resume our regular departure schedule," spokesperson Ann Shannon said in an email to TPG. "In the meantime, in an effort to ensure that our travelers will be able to enjoy their planned trips, Grand Circle has rebooked their reservations for future available departure dates in 2021 and implemented generous policies providing additional savings."

While Grand Circle has rebooked passengers on canceled sailings for next year, passengers will be able to change the dates that the company has chosen for them, Shannon added.

Soon after TPG contacted Grand Circle, one member of Johnson's group, Barbara Ballard, 64, of Tucson, unexpectedly received the refund she had been seeking from Grand Circle. The refund came with no explanation, but TPG had mentioned Ballard's case specifically when inquiring about Grand Circle's policy. Johnson did not receive a refund at that time. But within 24 hours of this story originally posting, she said the company called to promise her entire group a full refund.

Carnival Cruise Line: Carnival has not issued an estimate for customers as to how long refunds will take to process.

Celebrity Cruises: 30 business days

Crystal Cruises: Up to 90 days

Disney Cruise Line: Did not respond to a request for information

Holland America: Approximately 60 days

MSC Cruises: 60 to 90 days

Sailing for Spring Break 2023 with extended family - so plenty of advance time, but we need to cancel a pre-paid shore excursion, and rebook a different one.  

At some point in our research the excursion FAQ said 24 hours refund to CC on file, but now I see it reads: "all refunds will be processed in due course, but delays should be anticipated. Please allow us sufficient time to manage this process[...]"

I have trawled through the forums extensively and not really finding a specific answer: How long is it taking for just a normal refund of something booked well in advance? NOT a covid-, OBC-, or FCC-related refund?   Some of the experiences I read about refunds on Princess sound legit nightmarish, but a lot of these are post-cruise, covid-isolation, dealing with onboard overcharge disputes, etc.

If you've had just a regular refund of excursion, spa, or any other pre-booked fees recently - how long did it take?  Thanks!

Refared after final payment on 8/25. Credit to my CC by mid September. 

Most such refunds are about 7 to 10 business days.  Have done it several times over the course of the past month as we re-fared a couple  back to back cruises that required us to cancel and rebook everything including excursions.

But on our November cruise when we changed our minds and cancelled one excursion to do a non Princess excursion, they never refunded us the money (we paid by credit card, not by OBC).  Instead they simply credited our account with the equivalent OBC.  We have all our plans and purchases pre-paid, so don't plan to use this OBC - so I hope we can get it back after the cruise.

I have a lot of cruises booked.  I have cancelled and rebooked several excursions and onboard services purchases.  It usually is about 7 days before I see my refund back on my credit card, up to 10 days.

I had booked an excursion for us for our November cruise and we decided to cancel it and book a different one, due to the time of the excursions.  We had booked it with OBC.  I was quite surprised that it showed up almost immediately for me to use for the new one.

We cancelled an expensive excursion for a future cruise and replaced it with one at a 1/3rd of the price. I noticed on my credit card statements that only the expensive excursion was posted, but not the replacement lower cost excursion. That posted two months ago. I called this morning and was told the balance of the original cost of the more expensive excursion was being prepared to be refunded, minus the cost of the lower cost replacement. I asked when this might happen and was told there was no way to tell. So, theoretically I will eventually receive a refund (fingers crossed!!!), but no idea when. 

I am also fighting to get back a $58 refund for a cancelled Crown Grill reservation on that same upcoming cruise. It has been three months now. The last time I called about this I was told I had to get the refund from my TA as Princess says they will not help if a TA was used. Nope, unacceptable! I made the reservation through the Medallion app, not through my TA. He had nothing to do with the app's functionality nor the reservation made with it. That was all through Princess and it's app directly. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, and was repeatedly told she couldn't do that as I needed to talk to my TA. Eventually she put me on hold and after about 15 minutes came back with their solution - I had to send an email to CustomerRelations@PrincessCruises explaining the situation and requesting the refund.

I am NOT at all hopeful of a positive resolution. I have put in several hours on this already and it's now almost not worth any additional effort. Sigh.

Eventually she put me on hold and after about 15 minutes came back with their solution - I had to send an email to CustomerRelations@PrincessCruises explaining the situation and requesting the refund.   I am NOT at all hopeful of a positive resolution. I have put in several hours on this already and it's now almost not worth any additional effort. Sigh. 

Were these both cancelled pre cruise, or once you were OB?

The pre cruise ones should not take that long.  I have cancelled and rebooked excursions, SD, onboard services stuff and it has only taken 7-10 days.

OB, has taken much longer, because they process the refunds, then to accounting, yada yada.  Still 3 mos is really a long time.  I would definitely send a message to customer relations.

Both were several months pre-cruise. I'm not worried yet. Will wait to see what happens in the next couple of months. There is still time before the cruise. But still disappointed with the lack of follow through by Princess.

My particular pre-paid excursion was cancelled online 9/17 (a Saturday), so I was prepared to start the clock on the Monday (9/19).  Once I clicked 'cancel' on each pax line, the reservation disappeared from my booking.  Did this for the 3 in our stateroom, but didn't get an email notification of cancellation for any of us.  

Surprisingly, my refund showed up today, 9/21 (Weds)!  🤩

Based on other people's experience of refunds being applied to other excursions, AND Princess' own FAQ, I did not rebook another excursion at the time.  Just didn't want to have wires crossed.  But I am about to, now that the refund has gone through and no need to dispute moving forward.

Just wanted to memorialize for the boards that this type of refund - booking and cancelling months in advance, with NO OBC or FCC involved, and no other open excursions to apply a refund to - seems only to take a few days, but annoyingly without any proof of cancellation other than the excursion disappearing from the booking page.  YMMV.

When an excursion is cancelled while on board, the refund shows up as OBC on the on board account.

At the end of the cruise if there is a positive balance on the account and it is more than $25, a few weeks after the cruise a check will be mailed with that balance. ($25 or less can be refunded on board before youy leave the ship.)

Note that will be a check, not a refund to a credit card.

I cancelled MedallionNet on Monday online and the refund was on credit card yesterday

I know that this is nothing compared to some of the excursions mentioned.   But, does anybody have any insight on how this would work.  If we booked a Bungalow on Princess Cays, and then decided to cancel that and change to Sanctuary, of it is available to book for the length of the cruise when we board, could there be any issue with that?

The fact that somebody has had an issue with something as simple and basic as dining onboard is just not okay.

It would still be 2 separate charges. They would refund the bungalow and that would go on your folio as available credit.  It usually shows up that day or the next day on your folio.

Then you would book the sanctuary and that would go against your folio as a charge.  It all comes out in the wash.

I try to do cancellations pre cruise, if I can, so it goes back on my CC usually pretty quickly.   But, you probably want to see if the sanctuary is available once OB?

In that case, you’ll go to the sanctuary when you get OB to check availability.

I cancelled an excursion two days ago for an excursion booked for our cruise that is leaving 11 days later.  The email that I got when I paid the $99.90 balance indicated that excursions cancelled more than 5 days prior to embarkation would be refunded to the credit card used for payment.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that the credit appeared today and it's not just a pending credit.  The bad news is that it was for $44.95 - exactly half of the amount I expected.  There are two of us traveling but the amount due was for just one of us as shareholder obc covered the other balance entirely.  Will see what our folio shows once onboard but I won't be happy if I need to chase this down after the cruise.

It should show up as available OBC on the cruise and should be available to spend on an excursion now if you wish..

But you do not have to wait, as you can contact Princess and ask how much OBC is currently available.

Yes, it should show as OBC once OB.  Did you check the payments area on the cruise personalizer?  Just wonder if it ever updates the balance for stock holder credit, if you use a portion of it pre cruise?  Probably not.

The missing amount did not appear in payments nor anywhere else in the CP. But it was magically available to use when we purchased another excursion.

Need to file a claim?

Q:  What happens if I test positive for COVID-19 and need to cancel the day before my cruise? A:  Like with any illness diagnosed and treated by a medical professional, if you test positive for COVID-19 after purchasing the plan, you will be eligible to receive a refund to your original form of payment. If you do not have an official medical diagnosis, but feel unwell, you will receive a Future Cruise Credit.

Q:  What if my spouse gets COVID-19 right before the cruise and we can no longer sail? A:  You will be eligible to file a claim for a cash refund if you, your traveling companion or a member of your immediate family is diagnosed and treated for COVID-19, which causes you to cancel your cruise.

Q:  What if my mother, who isn’t sailing with us, gets COVID-19, and we may have been exposed? A:  Princess Vacation Protection has you covered! Even if they are not traveling with you, if someone in your immediate family is diagnosed and treated for an illness, you may request a refund to the original form of payment. If they are ill but are not diagnosed or treated, you may call us and receive a Future Cruise Credit for the cruise fare.

Q:  What if I find out I was exposed to someone either on my way to my cruise or during the cruise, and I end up being isolated in my cabin for part or all of the voyage? A:  PVP provides reimbursement for the days you are confined to your cabin if the confinement is ordered by a medical professional.

Q:  Does PVP cover my medical expenses if I get COVID-19 during my cruise? A:  Yes, PVP provides reimbursement for eligible medical expenses for any illness, including COVID-19.
